the beginning of retaliation sure does show that emily is made of nails. literally kicks out the windshield after that accident to go after the guy who caused it. and then tries. to get off the stretcher. 

it also shows that derek and emily are 100 percent not willing to handle each other’s shit and i am every day mad that we never got emily as unit chief when derek was still there.
