This is the truest fact I've ever heard because this is really canon.

Word for word this happened.

In one of the canon timelines Clark laser blasted Bruce under mind control.

And oh how Dick took over. You know what Luthor says?

This man has the power to single-handedly control the fate of the world.

Whatever he wants, he will make it happen.

The entirety of the justice league, all the metas, heroes, and villains too stood no chance against him.

I think it's true.

Nightwing is one of the most formidable figures in DC, without fail consistently coming out on top, so if Superman is iterating that Dick's personality and essence of being is the same, then there's really no room for disagreement.

But more truly, I think he is a Nexus.

By Marvel's definition, "Nexus Beings are rare individual entities with the ability to affect probability and thus the future, thereby altering the flow of the Universal Time Stream. These beings, each referred to as a nexus, act as the keystones of the Multiverse and are crucial to its ultimate coherence and stability."

That means that the universe hinges on the actions of Dick Grayson.

Not only does he control the fate of the world but his mere existence determines what will become of it by other people:

You can still be a nexus if you turn dark. For example Lore was a dark version of Wanda Maximoff but she is still considered a nexus. So you're right in saying that Dick Grayson is a multiuniversal constant of competence.

In the easiest terms as someone put it, "hope he fucks up" is Bruce's only contingency plan against Nightwing. The man doesn't have a clear plan how to neutralize Nightwing.

His exact words are: "As a result of overanalyzing any situation, this allows Dick Grayson to overconfident and misdirected. This will make himself open to a second attack."

So the plan is basically 'Dick is too smart for his own good so we'll have to go with a lucky surprise attack.' He's literally saying 'yupppp. Let's just hope he messed up because there's nothing we can do on ouR end.' Note that Bruce doesn't even have a back up like 'the second attack didn't work? we're fucked.'

For everyone else he actually has a coherent plan in mind- do this and they will fall. But for Dick? 'I hope he messes up enough for a second attack to actually stick. Otherwise we're shit out of luck. And lives. Fingers crossed he doesn't jump to the bad side.'

Tim also confirmed he would never make a contingency plan for Dick. The only person in the world he wouldn't do one for.

He's just that formidable of a man. Even now he can easily take down the Justice League if he wanted to.

And we know that Dick has one of the strongest wills on the planet.

A world where Dick loses his emotions is a world that would not survive.

other than that she’s not a huge book reader, her patience short and hard to keep her attention span captured. she wouldn’t mind it if you ever read her to sleep though, your voice helps lure her into a calm rest.

she’ll randomly ask you to sign stuff, acting like you’re a celebrity as she teasingly begs for you to write your name on her backpack, a plain tee shirt she owns, the back of her hand, an old pair of shoes she owns, etc.

if you have a job she’ll find any excuse to come and visit you while you’re working, whether it’s by pretending to be a customer or just sneaking in to chat for as long as she could.

one of her favorite things is when you sit in her lap, facing her with one of your free hands practically petting her hair and her arms wrapped around your lower body, rubbing your back or resting her hands on your ass. once again, nothing sexual needs to come from it, she just honestly can’t resist the temptation of her hands wandering. if you’re not comfortable with it she’ll immediately stop and apologize.

and to correspond with this, she likes it when you sit in her lap but loves it when she lays in yours. your thighs are absolutely perfect, it literally doesn’t matter the shape, size or feeling of them shes obsessed with resting her head in your lap and there’s nothing you can do to stop her.

she practically lives at your dorm/place at this point. if you live at the dorms you asked the school to make you a new key, pretending you lost yours, and then gave it to her. now she’ll come over all the time without even asking, send you a random text she was on her way over without discussing it first or that she was already at the door. sometimes you would come home after being gone for hours just to find her lounged on your couch; your snacks in her hands (and in her mouth) while watching a movie.

one of her favorite activities to do with you is to drink and just hang out. she gets very sappy, affectionate and when she drinks most of the time she doesn’t hold back since it’s not like a frequent thing. she likes to get blackout and you’re forced to take care of your girlfriend; who has now become a koala bear as she drunkenly holds onto your leg and cries and giggles about how much she loves you. she’s also a very clumsy drunk and almost always ends up hurt the next day, falling into things, running into walls and tripping over air. then the next day when the hangover hits she swears up and down she’ll never get drunk again in between groans of agony just to do it again in a week.

getting high together is also something she loves to do. it’s such an awakening experience that just deepens her love for you as she feels very comfortable and relaxed in your presence. she also loves the very dumb conversations you have together about the most meaningless things.

facemasks are also a must. she loves it when you do her skincare because she doesn’t have a routine for herself and so on occasion you’ll do some treatment for her. she hates those paper masks because they feel slimey and cold against her skin but she’ll do them if you have them. she likes when you put a charcoal or clay mask on her skin and acts like some sort of strange creature.

constantly making movie references that you don’t understand most of the time. and when you don’t get one of her comparisons she’ll force you to watch the film immediately and explain in detail what she meant.

if you try to talk during one of the movies she picks she’ll hush you immediately, wanting you to pay total attention to it unless it’s one the both of you have seen before. but when it’s her turn for her to watch a movie of your choice she’s yet to see but you have she’ll be a total hypocrite, talking and adding loud dialogue the entire way through. she’s also the type to ask you questions about a plot to a movie you’ve both never seen before and actually expecting you to be able to answer.

you have a long snapstreak going with her that you both mourn anytime it’s reset. and she’s got a highlight of you on her instagram that she updates once or twice a week.

she’ll ask you what your favorite marvel character is and if it’s one she doesn’t like she will fight you. (not really, but she’ll trash talk the character and get super defensive if you try to do the same to hers.)

she’s actually very trusting of you in the relationship and the only times she ever gets jealous is if a girl is outwardly flirting with you even after being aware that you’re dating someone.

random kisses constantly, she’ll gently turn your chin to face her or cup your chin and bring you into a kiss without any warning before hand.

she loves to do cute challenges with you. for example the chapstick challenge, where you buy a pack of flavored/scented chapstick and kiss the other while they try to guess the flavor. or doing the same thing with lipstick, but instead of trying to guess the flavor just seeing if it was kiss proof or not. but she doesn’t own makeup except for maybe a cheap mascara and a thing of eyeliner she almost never touches; so it would have to be yours or just not one you partake in.

going along with the no makeup thing, she would gladly let you do hers if you have any. she’d be the perfect little test subject for practicing your makeup skills on others if it wasn’t for her randomly goofing off and trying to eat the lipstick or the wands.

there’s definitely been at least a time or two where she does actually get jealous over chad if you have a good relationship with him. it doesn’t matter if you’re lesbian, bi, pan, omni or unlabeled she with subliminally have the thought that you’re gonna leave her for her twin brother. you of course reassure her and remind her of the love you hold for her. she’s not ever the type to blame you for her jealousy. she wouldn’t ignore you or get angry because of her own feelings and actually much prefers to talk it through with you than suffering alone or in silence.

she’s not afraid to speak her mind or be bold. it can get a bit embarrassing from the occasional time to time if you’re out in public with strangers but you’re quick to laugh about it.

pda is a must with her and if you ever receive looks or judge mental comments she’s quick to reply and call someone out on their behavior and won’t back down till they apologize or walk away. she loves showing you off and that doesn’t change whether it’s behind opened or closed doors, but it definitely does simmer down. but like don’t be surprised if she randomly wants to make out with you even though you’re at a friends house together and hanging out with multiple other people.

she’s quick to warn you about her suspicions of ethan to alert you; which saves you a lot in the long run. you avoid him and try not to hang out with the group when you’re lead to believe ethan may be there or suspiciously couldn’t make it only for everyone to get attacked by ghostface the same night.

she loves to dance with you. and not like a slow dance, im talking jumping up and down, bobbing her head, shouting the lyrics and swinging her arms up and down while hopping around you to shit like ‘lovefool’ by the cardigans.

the both of you have tried every two player mobile game known to man and could spend hours day on the couch with her legs in your lap playing things like fashion frenzy on roblox to game pigeon.

if you ever get sick she’ll want to stay with you the entire time till you’re feeling better and once you finally do now she’s the one under the weather and expects you to do the same as she did with you. she’s actually grown to love it when she gets ill cause it’s basically a guarantee she’ll be the only one or thing with your attention for at least a few days and if she feels that attention drifting from her she’ll act like such a little kid and act like she’s dying.

Throwback to 2014/2015 when these two were THE biggest romantic ship in the gotg fandom. Including smut.

Ok jokes aside, I adore Rocket and Groot’s relationship. They’re just two weird outcasted creatures of the Marvel universe who found each-other and had each others backs when the whole rest of the galaxy treated them like freaks. They don’t get along all the time and can have their (old married couple energy) arguments, but at the end of it all you can tell they care about one another, even if Rocket is to emotionally stunted for his own good to admit it out loud most of the time. They also have a ton of sweet moments together, from Rocket going through the trouble of traveling to earth, a planet he hates, just so Groot can be happy and (mild spoiler) reunite with an old friend of his in the 2015 Groot comic series, to them going on a beach vacation together in the Rocket Raccoon comics, to Rocket Having an I ♥️ Trees mug in Marvel’s Rocket & Groot Cartoon, to Groot and Rocket straight up saying “I love you” to eachother in the Guardians: Grounded comic, the Gotg Eidos game, and the Telltale game etc. (which now that I think about it, I think rocket has probably said “I Love You” to Groot in most gotg related media more times combined than he has to any of his canon female love interests… so do with that info waht you will…). I could go on, really. Tbh, I do slightly prefer and love Groot and Rocket’s close platonic friendship as is, but I would be lying if I didn’t believe there’s at least more than one universe in the Marvel multiverse where they’re married.

Toxic: Dick Grayson x f!reader (part 1)

I'm just testing the waters here, since it's my DC writing debut (please, forgive me Marvel, you are still no.1 for me). Anyway, let me know what you think.

He was a detective.

She was a forensic scientist and tech expert.

Their history started back in the circus days.

They weren’t exactly friends, but being the only two kids amongst the adults and animals brought them closer than they would ever like to admit.

He was an acrobat. She was a tamer which gave her ability to read through animals and as this skill expanded – people. She could easily tell the emotions and feelings of one’s person and control it. When she found out about that power she was scared at first. It was hard to cope with all the positive and negatives vibes suffocating and suppressing her. And it was not like she could tell anyone about it. She would be called a freak and even at circus this would not be good. But Dick knew. From the beginning. He saw it in her eyes one day at the arena, when the fire broke and people and circus crew started to panic and flee. Poor girl felt not only her own pain and fear but also all of the same emotion of about 100 or more people. It was just too much, hurting not only mentally but physically as well and so she started to shake with the burden on her shoulders. Eyes wide open, breath fastened she turned away from the source of the problem and started running, hit and miss, somehow avoiding collision with anyone else. Dick was quick to add two and two and chase after her through the other side of arena, ignoring his parents’ calls. However, she was too fast and soon was out of his sight. Now Dick started to panic as well. She should not be alone in her vulnerable state.

“YN!” he called for her, but there was no answer “YN!” another try and he heard some quiet sobbing coming from behind one of the circus caravan “what happened?” the boy fell to the ground next to his colleague. She was holding her knees close to the chest, face hidden, hair being a mess from the running  “Hey, look at me” she hesitantly raised her head and followed his plea “what happened there?”

“I got scared, that’s all”

“It’s not. There’s more. You can tell me. “ he reached for her cold hands and this gesture surprised them both.

“Can I? How do I know you are not going to use it against me?”

“Don’t you know me better than that?” he asked sadly

“I do. I’m sorry Dick. I know you care. I just….. I don’t know what’s happening to me lately.”

“Tell me. I’ll help you figure it out.”

“I….. I feel more. More intense, more often. Some of those feelings are not even mine. Like, I can tell that right now you are worried, but also a bit curious. It’s a lot, knowing people’s emotions, you know.”

“I know.” Dick nodded and went to hug her “Seems to me like you are an empath.”

“I don’t think every empath can also control the mood of the people”

“control?”

“Yes, a bit, but most of the time it happens involuntarily…..”

“How so?” Dick frowned at the words

“Remember last week? When one of the clowns started a fight with fire eater?”

“I do….. Wait, was that you?”

“I guess. I mean, none of them would start jumping around and laughing falling into each other embrace out of their own will, right? They hate each other.”

“Right.” The boy rubbed his forehead “How long is this going on”

“Not sure. A month or some more….”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asked with hurt in his voice, but she just shrugged.

“I was scared. Still am. But it’s ok if you think I’m a weirdo. I won’t blame you, just please keep it to yourself.”

“I’m not leaving you.” he spoke and hugged her again

“You are not?” she muffled into his chest clinging to the warmth and peace his presence brought her.

“No. I’m not going to hurt you, ever. I’ll keep you safe.”

That was the ice breaker in their relationship. From that day when she confessed they became closer and closer every day. And slowly, something more than friendship started to creep in inside their hearts. But as all was going really good in that area, life decided to pull a cruel trick. # years later a fatal accident happened, leaving Dick parentless. He was broken and vulnerable and despite the fact that she was there for him, offering help and support there was not much she could do, especially use her powers. She swore to him she would never use her ability against him and this was not the time to break the promise. Soon, Dick was adopted by no one else than famous Bruce Wayne and took away from the circus. She stayed behind. Those were dark couple of years for 15 year-old kids.

“Promise you won’t forget me” she whispered clutching him while the limousine was waiting.

“How could I ever?” he held her tighter “this is probably bad timing, but I ….” He stopped becoming shy.

“You what?”

“You were more than a friend to me. I…. I felt more for you.”

“Oh…..” the girl pulled away slightly

“Yeah” Dick scratched his head in confusion. “Maybe I shouldn’t have said that…”

“Dick?”

“Yes?”

“I promise you, when I turn 18 and I will be free to decide about myself I will find you. I’ll get you back and we may work on that feeling. Will you wait for me?”

“ Always.” He whispered resting his forehead on hers.

“Master Grayson! It’s time to go.”

“Come back to me.” Dick added

“In three years, I promise.”

Three years later, she did kept her promise as she showed on the steps on the Wayne Manor. Uninvited, of course, but with single purpose on her mind. Getting Dick back. Last year has been a constant torment for her. As she grew up, a lot of men in the circus turned their attention towards her and not in a good way. She was degraded because of the fact she was a woman, catcalled and a couple of times almost raped. Such things can change a person but she was still the same girl Dick knew, hoping he did not change much as well. Ok, to tell the truth she might have a bit more of a badass attitude and higher confidence, but those were good things, right? So why was she so nervous knocking at the door. Would the host of the place kick her out when he see her creased clothes and messy outlook? She travelled for three days to get here, but …..

“And who may you be?” dark dressed valet opened the door and started looking her up and down

“I’m….” she trailed

“YN?” the voice coming from the inside was too familiar and her eyes immediately went glassy “You are really here?” Dick, because who else took a few steps closer and gently touched her cheek to make sure she was real.

“I promised you, didn’t I?” she sobbed “I kept it.”

“You two better come inside, before you get sick from the cold” the butler pulled the girl into the manor and closed the door behind.

Bruce Wayne was less than happy about another kid in his house. Dick got into quite an argument with him about his friend but it did not brought the wanted result. Batman was good enough with one child under his care, no place for discussion and that broke said child heart. Thank god, Albert was a bit more sensitive as he took the girl in, so Dick and his friend could secretly meet. Maybe it was the aura of forbidden love but this situation only speeded up what was bound to happen between them. The first time Dick kissed her it was messy, sloppy and innocent, but as the years went by all the emotions they were hiding for years got the best of them. At the age of 21 the tame finally broke.

“Are you sure about this?”  he asked hovering over her, his breath hot on the girl’s skin.

“Are you getting second thoughts?” she smirked but it was impossible to hide how impatient and longing for him she was.

“I love you.” he whispered in response kissing her fiercely and completely letting himself go. If she could she would probably say the same, but the way he was focused on her and taking care of every inch of her body made her words incoherent and limited only to single moans and groans under Dick’s touch. Both of them were waiting and aching for each other for so long, hiding inside their shells. But it was not necessary anymore. Just the two of them against the world, closer than ever, closer than it was possible and yet – still so far away from one another. Lips on lips, skin on skin, caressing, stroking and exploring. Being one another’s first time made it even more sensual and emotional.

“Dick?”

“Yes?”

“I love you too.” She smiled as he kissed her more. “It feels so good to finally say it” she whispered.

“You don’t ever have to stop.” he muttered “but are you sure it’s what you want?

“Yes, just …..”

“I’m not going to hurt you. You are safe with me” he repeated the words from the past and she closed her eyes actually feeling safe and secure in his arms.

They were training together despite Bruce’s best wishes. He was Robin and she was Flux. There was no discussion that Dick was skilled from the beginning but the girls had a lot to learn. And she was making progress so fast that it impressed even the Batman himself. Finally, he warmed up to her enough to let her join missions. Ironically, this was about to be her undoing. During one of the escapades, Robin and Fluxcame across two other vigilantes – Hawk and Dove, their real names being Hank and Dawn.

The girl was so different from YN. Gentle, caring with all her positive attitude and petite figure. Delicate in every aspect except fighting. Very well aware she captured Dick’s attention, not that anyone could blame her for it. If only she was mean or vengeful or rude…. But her being kind and helpful made it impossible for Flux to hate her for forming close bond with Dick. Yes, she was jealous. Robin was her boyfriend. She went through a lot to win him over and now it felt like she was losing him to another one. How could she ever compete with such beauty, former ballerina full of grace? Despite the fact that Dick never gave her any reason to doubt him she felt like there was something wrong and being pushed over the age she broke the promise given to him so long ago. She searched through his emotions and minds. And what she saw break her so much that when Dick came to visit her in Albert’s wing of the manor she was sitting on the bed staring blankly at the window.

“YN?” she got him alerted the second he saw her this way “Honey, what happened? Did someone hurt you” he sat down on the edge of bed, palm of her thigh trying to reassure her and get the answer.

“get your hands off me!” she yelled and moved away from his touch

“Why? What’s wrong? Tell me, please.”

“Is it true?” tears started to flow down her eyes

“Is what true?”

“Do you have feelings for her? For Dawn. I’m giving you the chance to be honest with me, Dick….”

“YN….”

“I thought you respect me enough to admit, but you are lying. I feel those emotions on you. I can do that remember?”

“You used them on me…?” he moved back as well “you promised not to…”

“Well then we both broke each other.”

“YN….. I want you to know nothing ever happened between me and Dawn.”

“But you think about her every time when we ….. Fuck, Dick. You act like your name. I feel like throwin up. That is probably the worst kind of betrayal.”

“YN, I still love you.”

“And for the first time in my life I don’t know how I feel. Leave me, Dick. I need to be alone for now. I have to think this all through.

“YN….” He reached for her again, but she yanked free

“Please….. Go away” and so he listened. He left her hoping she would get better till dinner. But when she did not show up he knew it was not temporary. And when after the meal he went to check up on her, she was gone. As well as her stuff. The only thing left was a short letter in which she explained why she had to escape Gotham and forget about that part of her life. She also mentioned being heartbroken and apologized for breaking him, but in her point of view this was the only thing to do. They loved each other but at the same time were toxic and this was something that would always prevent them from getting their happy ending .

I don’t think it’s very fair for you to try and knock others from reading Miguel’s OG run because truthfully that’s the only place you’re going to get his full character since every run after that is just “Let’s place him in different time scenarios to fix other people’s problems”. I’ve read ur reasonings and some of the issues I just don’t see and that’s coming from someone who’s ALSO half Hispanic and had similar family experiences. Idk I guess comic Miguel is rlly important and relatable to me and you shouldn’t turn others away from having that potential connection too. :/

NAH LOL it is *not* the only place to get his character truthfully -- his character is not consistent between runs, or between comic and movie! Not even Pdavid's runs have an unified version of Miguel since he just becomes an author self-insert after one point. The way Pdavid writes '92 Miguel - Gabriel is also shamelessly almost the same as he wrote Bruce Banner - Rick Jones. (another series where he ended up being pushed off the book after he started making really weird decisions; and notice these last two are white guys, which is how pdavid depicts Miguel all the time.)

I haven't even told people to not read them. In multiple posts i say 'read the first ones to see how it is, stop when you get annoyed, look up summaries, don't feel obligated to treat it as canon because it isn't.' If anyone feels threatened by this they should examine where that defensiveness is coming from.

I'm gonna be real with you that's like saying "the only way to REALLY understand Miles Morales is to read his ultimates run." You know, the one where his mother gets eaten alive by Venom, his dad thinks he's at fault for killing her and nearly beats him with a cane, where the closest thing he has to peter is a clone named jessica drew, and that eventually gets completely retconned in a universe explosion so main universe Miles can be rewritten. Do you remember seeing any of the things above in ITSV? Would you call them *the only real way to fundamentally understand Miles as a character?*

I keep seeing the rhetoric that 'real fans' have to subscribe to the very first script of these characters and that somehow enjoying their ATSV versions is fake-stanning and that is just... not true. That's not how comics work. Our most iconic, definitive, memorable traits for MANY of these superheroes have come from subsequent comic runs, rewrites, feats of adaptation and the interaction between fanwork-becoming-canon. Even uncle Ben's 'power and responsibility' schtick is NOT an original part of Peter's first draft. That came from re-imaginings and rewrites.

I'm really, truly not a fan of the argument that 'relating to parts of a character' completely absolves the text from criticism. It's not a good comic. It barely tries to be latino rep and frankly, I'm not going to praise it for just placing a label on him and doing nothing with it. I don't care for this white man's truth. It's racist and creepy and I should be paid reparations for having to read a storyline where the same girl gets paired up with two different brothers and then their father just to end up getting killed for a sexier token love interest. I am constantly frustrated by the argument that new fans should be forced to read it and potentially get turned away from comics forever; it's one of the worst offerings you could give them. 90's Marvel and DC are a public fandom joke and nearly led the market into bankruptcy!!!!! (Marvel filled for loss in 1996. IT WAS BAD. That's part of why the whole 2099 line went up in flames! The money was going down the drain.)

I've been a comic reader for a long time and I just can't give them blissful innocence passes like that. The current editor-in-chief at Marvel did yellowface and pretended to be a japanese man for years to write some shitty superhero weeb comics with no accountability whatsoever. He still has a job. RUNNING the company!

And here's the thing: I like Miguel too. I have a shitty family and I empathize with that but I KNOW he deserves much better than to be confined by white people's scripts and fetishes. I *want* him to have a chance, multiple chances even, to be completely rewritten and remolded by latine voices without the need for them to constantly refer or tie back into that white man's work; It is our right just as any other.

ATSV throws away most of Miguel's baggage, and straight up refuses to refer to the weird indepth sludge pdavid had going on; the artbook doesn't mention these first comics or most of his runs, they actually talk about other groundbreaking sci-fi concept work and the idea of basically rebuilding the landscape from scratch, and I am deeply thankful they do that. One of the biggest themes of the movie *is* that the idea of comic canon is fraught and full of holes, and that we should subvert it into joyful and honest expressions of these characters' cultures. These are movies that begin with the Comics Code Authority stamp, a censorship marker that among other things explicitly prohibited the positive depiction of pro-civil rights narratives and homosexual relationships, and actively turned their nose at protagonist black characters — & proceed to rip it to shreds. That's what we should be doing!

This is the year where it just landed for me that most of these franchises are more like a menu than a canon, and that I can sort of pick and choose what I want to be in my own canon. They’re making Star Wars, Marvel, and DC, and Star Trek by the pound at this point. They all have multiple TV series, they’re all sort of on streaming services and all of that. … I’ve decided that I don’t really care about completion anymore as much as I care about seeing a story that appeals to me, and picking and choosing the stories that appeal to me. So my entire approach to canon has just become, it’s whatever I choose to watch and whatever I choose to embrace.

“Thor” Speaks Out: We won’t take the hate that you give

First, the She-Hulk TV series’ creators admitted that they made the show with the objective of mocking fans, then Henry Cavill walked out on the Netflix Witcher because he had enough, and now, Chris Hemsworth who is famous for playing Thor in the MCU has had enough and is putting his foot (and hammer) down hard in how he is sick of being ridiculous on purpose.

THIS is what Disney, Netflix and a lot of media have to show making films and series that are not only devoid of love, but openly hate the source material and will create a media based on it just to spite it and its fans. Back when I was growing up, if someone on the set of a movie or show mocked the very piece they were creating and did not take it seriously, they got fired. If you don’t really want to be there and don’t even like what you’re working, then you shouldn’t be there. Now, it looks like insulting the media has become part of the creative process and is even encouraged. And that’s bad.

I admit that even fans laugh at the very fiction they love sometimes because we are not blind to its flaws or silly parts. It is even an art form to sit back and laugh at the silly side of our fandoms hence why we have spoof films like Dracula Dead and Loving it, the famous Naked Gun series, the Lethal Weapon TV series on Netflix, Shaun of the Dead, The Orville, the webcomic 8-Bit Theater and more.

But even then, it was still obvious that behind these parody pieces was a very obvious love and endearment towards the source material. In other words, we are laughing with them together with no hard feelings and we all still love what we love. The creators did not make these films or series because they wanted to make the original material look bad. They did it because they wanted to make us laugh. And even then, they were put together with care and with intent of making something great that all audiences could enjoy.

Now, pieces that are meant to be part of the official lore feel like hate letters to both the original fans and creators. And what do you really have to show for it when you create something with hate, resentment and with the intent to insult and punish the audience? Nothing. All you did was waste your time and made yourself look bad. Not to mention that when you make bad media on purpose, it becomes permanent on your record. Moreover, when you have a chance to work with something as big as She-Hulk, Star Wars, Superman, He-Man or other iconic figures in fiction, it would be wiser to give it your all and make it into something great like Noelle Stevenson did with She-Ra. Even if you aren’t a die-hard fan of the material, it is still honour to be picked to work on it, so it is better to treat it like an honour instead of a joke. And if you dislike it that much, it is better to kindly turn down the job.

The point is that Hollywood needs to not only remove hate from the equation, but to also put love back into the creative process. Too much of Marvel, Disney, DC and now, Netflix are plagued with meanness and hate, and the material is suffering for it. I also truly believe that deep down, these companies don’t want to be hateful or mean to anyone including themselves. They don’t really want to lose their loyal fans and don’t really want to make half-baked films or shows.

I believe that things are going to change and while I admit that maybe it will get worse before it gets better, I have faith. After all, DC, Marvel and Disney have been around long before this new wave of media came along. And it had its bad times before yet braved them. The Dark Knight rose once, he can do it again and so will all the other heroes.

After all, love is stronger than hate. If anything, the fact that these actors are taking a stand and speaking out is a sign of positive change. They are finally saying “no” and if there is one thing I have learned as a parent, “no” has love behind it.

after reading your bio multiple times and making many assessments in my head over the course of a few hours, i think that i've come to the desicion that you would most definitely mesh well with peter parker. peter, of course, is also a huge star wars fan (dc second, star wars first, so i feel that's something the two of you could bond over. he also loves people who are kind and compassionate, so i feel he'd definitely fall for someone like you, who wants to be an adoption social worker (a very admirable job by the way, kudos to you!) and while peter is a morning person, i find that opposites (in this scenario) do attract!! peter loves hugs and cuddles, loves physical affection, however might be a little hesitant to accept gifts considering that he was raised poor and refuses help from others.

how do i see the two of you getting together? i can readily imagine you falling asleep in an early morning class - you weren't able to get into the section you wanted, so you had to enroll in an earlier class you REALLY didn't want to go to. peter has been your deskmate for a while and the two of you had made small talk every once in a while after class. peter wakes you up at the end of class and hands you a page of handwritten notes. "here. you looked really tired so i took some notes for you while you slept. see you next time!" he would leave with an awkward wave and friendly smile. slowly, the two of you start to grow closer. bonding after class, grabbing coffee or breakfast, talking about your hobbies and interests. you said you're flirty, so i think peter would definitely be flustered when you flirt with him. you would have to be the one to approach the topic of dating, but once you do, everything changes. you hand out almost everyday, watching movies, reading, studying, building LEGOS (if that's something you're interested in), and stealing free food from the events on campus. he would love the nights that you could cuddle up on the couch together and pop in empire strikes back or the quiet study sessions you spend together where you pretend to not catch him glimpsing at you with wide "oh my god i can't believe their mine" eyes. overall, i think it would be a very wholesome, sweet, loving, HEALTHY relationship.

Some stuff about me:

So, my name is Dolly (you knew that), and I’m a panromantic asexual person. My gender is… weird (😂), because really I think gender is an odd social construct and I don’t really care what people refer to me as. I’m also autistic, and some of my special interests include musical theatre, books, true crime, superheroes, and mythology of all different kinds and cultures. I don’t get the opportunity to talk about my special interests a lot, but once I do, you’ll have a hard time getting me to stop talking.

As for hobbies, I spend most of my time either reading or writing fanfiction (and sometimes original short stories), listening to music, and watching movies or TV shows. I mostly like all kinds of music, but I’m not really the biggest fan of rap. I’m also really into true crime podcasts, and I have a love for older TV shows, such as M*A*S*H and The A-Team, as well as all the Marvel and DC movies and TV shows. I’m also a pretty decent singer, at least depending on who you ask. I really love books, and my ultimate career goal is to be a librarian (although if you asked me my absolute dream job, the answer would be a voice actor). I’m also a half-decent singer, at least depending on who you ask.

Personality-wise, I kind of cycle between being bubbly and cheerful and quieter and shyer (a textbook ambivert, me), but no matter what, I always do my best to be a good listener and to make my friends (which includes you!!) happy, because I am very loyal and I love them a lot.

Her biological parents were like royalty in her small planet across the south coast of the planets. Far from behind the other universes or planets nearby, simple people. Like down to earth country folks were the people on her planet. Everyone and everything looked like Earth with a fairytale style in the architecture (very much like Naboo). Their technological advances were slower than other planets, since they shared and borrowed from one another. But no one cared. Rather rich themselves in the minimalistic living instead. 

Some rarely gifted with certain abilities when they reached a certain point in their lives, meanwhile someone are not. One powers that only some elders held dear, that few past onto their children were to remember their past lives. Such as soulmates.

Her home looked like an Enchanted Forest, the ones you would hear in fairy tales crafted to share with little girls to imagine when they play dress up. She was kinda a loner growing up, having her books of fairytales and action filled stories of heroes to read.

One day she was stepped around the streets when a voice called her, consumed and curious she followed. Her dress flew behind her, walking until she saw that appeared to a wishful bouncing voice, belonging to a tall man. He was magical in a sense, convincing to anyone who listen.

“Hello?” She asked, fixing her dress and gasping at the suited man, “Who are you?”

“W-who am i? Well I’m your ticket to advertising adventures dear.” Reply the said with a kind smile, “I’m Roland.”

“My ticket to where?”

“Well Princess Shay-era, you are a very good girl. You don’t deserve to leave in this dump of a planet, but to bring your gifts to others.”

“M-my gifts?”

“Why yes of course. Your gifts. No offense, but do you really wanna be stuck in a place with no longing a little thing like you?”

Shayera crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes, “What’s your game, pirate? What about my parents?”

“You’re planet was doomed to death anyway, just like the otherwise beautiful ones on this side of the galaxy. We rather saved your ass now.” He said with a shrugged smile and secretly he opens a portal.

“We..? Uh, w-who sent you?”

“You’re mother. She knew you wouldn’t want to listen without a little push.”

“My mama..? Wait—”

The said portal opened and slides underneath her feet, Shayera landed asleep and shipped off world. She wasn’t brought with much, expect a few items. The portal trip was fine until she was knocked off course resulting, in her form landing in the phantom zone for weeks.

Finally she woke up to the pretty sky. Coachella Valley, in California. Her eyes were closed but sun shine still peaked into her face. She heard a young couple talking over her body. They were kind people from what she heard.

Shayera’s eyes gently blinked open catching the couples eyes. From their perspective, sweet young bright eyed little girl in a blush pink soft dress landed a few feet away from their home. It was a charming sight. The pair always wanted children and thought it was a gift from the universe.

“Hi sweetie, what’s your name?” Asked the women, Rosita.

“I don’t know..not remember..I’m sorry..” Said the girl looking at the couple confused but with a sense of familiarity in her eyes.

The man, Sean smiled, “It’s okay, we’re take you in.”

She smiled, gentle love in her eyes. They returned it, the couple named her Lyra Olivia Cruz. After Sean’s mom and Rosita’s grandmother.

Years went on, Lyra lived a normal life as a teenager. School, friends, traveling to different place, reading and watching movies, shopping and so much more. Sure weird things happened over the city, in which her and her good friends coined it as ‘The Wall Of Weird’. Posting everything that happened onto the school newsletter and journal the ones they didn’t say anything about for themselves.

Sometimes it was like a damn comic book or music happened right before their eyes.

Until one day over the spring time, Lyra developed theses annoying headaches and decided to detox her body in the backyard nearby the small flowers she grew with her mother. It worked like a charm taking it all in, the fresh air, the sun and the greenery around her. Her fingers ran across the grass then flowers, as her hand sparkled. The flowers grew a little bit as Lyra looked at her face gasping in shock. Poor girl screamed, she though she was dreaming.

And her first thought afterwards was…

“MAMI! I THINK I GOT POWERS!?” She yelled calling her mother stumbling back in the house, practically falling face first on the wooden flooring. “Ow…” She added shortly.

Her mom was confused for a moment until Lyra showed her, more or less. After her dad came home from work, they had a long talk. Sean and Rosita told her what they know, that wasn’t much for neither of her parents to off on. The two felt sorry. They told Lyra that she was sent here in a pink dress, wearing a pair of dusty rose earrings and a small notebook that kept drawing in them. To their surprise, their daughter wasn’t mad at them or worried about anything. She knew she was loved and sent her as a blissing for a chance to live a good life.

As she started to work on her small scale of skills she promised to use her powers for good care, not destroying or manipulate nature. Eventually her friends found out finding it super cute and interesting.

Everything was great until after senior year, she moved up to Central City to start exploring her job as an artist. Yes she does have the opportunity in California to draw and sell her art, but she wanted a different environment as a landscape for her cartoons. She was chatting on the phone with a friend when she noticed a young woman about to trampled over by a incoming speeding car.

She noticed a abandoned flower stand nearby, the man left for a break. So in result Lyra wiggled her fingers sparkling a dusty rose color as the flowers stretched out and grew wrapping themselves up gently pushing the woman away. It was a very subtle movement. Lyra released her touch on the flowers as they went back to their original form.

Lyra looked around hoping no one truly noticed, buying the said flower, leaving the money on the flower cart and walked away. They were tulips her favorite. However she was wrong, the woman who she saved did notice and a few days later found her at Jitters Coffee Shop.

Leanna O’ Conner was called in by her friend Officer Penny Spivet to see her.

Lyra refused the idea, she wasn’t one to use her powers very often and doesn’t want to be like the hero The Blur or anything.

Leanna wasn’t suggesting that and said, “Girl I ain’t asking for you to do that. But you were spotted and tracked by a camera, your smart and sweet and kind. We could use you on the team, every once in a while.”

“I’ll think about it..what do you know about me?” Lyra asked curiously.

“You grew up in Cali, you studied news and stories eventually becoming a artist for the paper. And you can manipulate planets?”

“I can control and manipulate them to grow or even strengthen themselves.”

“If you come by to the labs, I’ll like to see it sometime.”

The sometime came soon as the day she visited, The Team Flash was fighting King Shark. She had to help them by growing a cage from the ground up to hold him off in the park until they can get handcuffs on the huge half animal. Caitlin and Iris grinned impressed. Once it was done, Lyra agreed to come over every once in a while to help, but she was more than happy to hang out with the crew.

Her, Cisco and the others would do movie nights. Referencing comic books, tv shows and movies. In their universes, Marvel was a common thing that would mention among pop culture.

The superheroes in a barn reference, excelsior, spidey senses tingling, superhero landing, Hulk references, X-Men and etc. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, so much more being named dropped ever so causally no one bats an eye!

One day Iris even mentioned, “You said you were touched on journalism right?”

“Yeah? I usually do the doodles.” She replied one day as the girls were hanging out.

“Do you know a column called ‘The Wall Of Weird’? It was popping up on again on my throwback new feed.”

“Hahahahaha! I do actually, cause i help write it.”

“No way!”

“Yeah it was a fun thing we dropped online, I didn’t know it reached cities.”

“Girl it’s the Internet, of course it did.”

Hell Lyra when met Kara Danvers and others, she fell head over heels in love. Yeah she loved the other teams but Team Supergirl was unique.

With her being from technically another planet, the colorful city, the similarities between perspective she shared, and Winn was her absolute favorite. All having to save each other at least once. Oh did I mentioned how nerdy everyone was with certain things? It was super cool!

Winn opened the door where she locked in and yelled out grinning, “Hi! I’m um here to rescue you, princess.”

Even though she was chained up, Lyra grinned and gasps, “Hmm. Aren’t you a little short to be a stormtrooper?”

“You rewatched Star Wars without me?!”

“Actually it was me and James!”

“Traitors! Me and Kara rewatched Wizard Of Oz without you guys.”

“You traitors!”

Alex was a badass, Lyra supporting her every single step of the way to her journey. In result, Alex helped her try to find more of her heritage whenever asked.

She was one of the most supportive people in her life and vise versa.

Plus she wouldn’t lie saying she had a small crush on Supergirl. I mean how could you not have a crush on Kara Danvers?! She’s adorable!

Also, they worked together so they get to see each other almost every day. Other days they were chilling together.

“You’re gonna love me forever. Close your eyes!” Lyra said running into the apartment.

“Okay? Please tell me it’s a puppy!” Kara yelled out with her eyes closed.

“Okayyyy! Now open ‘em.”

Kara gasped seeing pizza from their favorite restaurant, donuts from the shop across from CatCo, and a dvd of the film The Great Gatsby.

“OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU!” Kara yelled in glee hugging her.

“HAHAHA! IT WAS NO BIGGIE!” Lyra yelled back hugging her.

If you wonder if she gets to see her friends and family, Kara and Lyra are able portal or teleport using a device Cisco made. Winn sometimes had to adjust the schedule or corrected coordinates for travel. 

Sometimes it leads her into trouble bouncing from once place or universe to the next…

“How could you like this fictional character? They’re a bad person!” — “How could you ship this fictional character with this other fictional character? That character is disgusting and a bad person while the character you ship them with is a good person and they hate each other in canon” are such funny takes because the whole point is that they’re fictional & you already lost the argument the second you say something like this, because by saying it, you imply that you think real people’s morality should be judged based on how they consume fictional media and in result, you end up implying other people, or you yourself, cannot separate fiction from reality. It’s okay to like a villain, fictional psychopath because you think their character is neat or well written or for whatever reason as long as your brain knows what the difference between fiction and reality is, and as long as you don’t go kill people in real life. I won’t think you’re a bad person just because you like a fictional character who, according to the fandom police, is disgusting.

“That character is dead” — and???? My brother in Christ they were never real to begin with. Joke’s on you if you think a character’s being canonically dead means people will automatically stop liking them when there’re thousands of fanarts, fanfics they can enjoy in which said character is alive and well. Or they can stay dead, the angst is just as delicious.

“This character is disgusting and a bad person” — again, you already lost the second you imply you think a person’s morality can be judged based on whether or not they like a fictional villain who’s “disgusting and messed up”

“These characters canonically hate each other so you can’t ship them” — there’re thousands of well written fics where characters who hate each other go from enemies to lovers, people can enjoy these. Or they can stay enemies, it’s so sexy when they try to unalive each other, actually.

They’re characters I don’t like, and there’re ships that make me uncomfortable, and I’ll admit there were times in the past where I got into arguments with people who have different opinions regarding which characters they hate or stan, or who they ship, etc, but I’ve never harassed people over fictional characters and I’ve learned to no longer engage with things I don’t like/ don’t agree with/ things that make me uncomfortable or are triggering to me, instead of interacting with them. I don’t go out of my way to tell other people how they can or can’t enjoy characters from movies or tv shows.
