Heroes of Olympus---fitness/body related hcs

***Idk if anyone would even plan on it but Please do not comment or tag this as anything sexual as it is not meant like that in any way whatsoever***

Percy

Everyone lost some weight on the big Argo II voyage due to stress and all the fighting and everything, Percy is no exception.

In general, though, he is still leaner than Jason and has slightly less upper body/ pectoral strength than he does.

However, he has THE fucking core strength ever

Unless he's been really, really exerting himself he normally has a cushion of belly fat over his abs but if you feel his abs they're wow so strong

Also bunch of shoulder strength, he does lots of climbing

He honestly needs some squish especially in scenes set After Gaea’s defeat. One of the reasons im writing these hcs is that I hate the fanarts that give the demigods six or eight pack abs and 0 body fat like?? Have u ever seen a 16-17 year old boy with chiseled abs. Especially one that eats like mr Jackson. His mother is feeding him good on seven layer dip and cheeseburgers and cookies and blue candy and he drinks blue cherry Coke and eats his fill of barbecue every day at camp you Cannot tell me he has no body fat arrgggh

He probably looked like that while he was in Tartarus though bc he was probably really dehydrated and exhausted lmaoo

V good sense of balance and coordination

Jason

Jason’s got more strength in his arms/shoulders/upper body than anything else

Big arm and chest muscles

Also naturally has belly--when he's not worried abt food--but he tends to stand taller so you can't see it as much

Probably lost the most weight on the voyage. Too busy making sure everyone else was okay and also healing from his various injuries. He also had to be absolutely sure there was enough food for everyone else so he was worried abt taking too much

Generally spends more time exercising and has hardly ever seen a junk food in his life and eats a lot of protein bc hes always lived at camp jupiter so he's very muscle

Piper

Piper didn't really start exercising until she came to camp so she's probably the least physically strong in comparison

More squish than Annabeth. Carries fat in hips and thighs and belly

Thinks/feels like she's fat and low key worries abt it

Was only mildly disappointed when she started demigod training and her belly didn't instantly disappear lol

Kind of jealous of how Annabeth is so thin and athletic but Annabeth wishes she had Pipers thighs/boob/curves loll the curse of being a woman

Piper also feels like she has baby face compared to Annabeth bc she has chubbier cheeks and it annoys her

She's got a pretty good sense of balance tho

Pretty good at running fast but she doesn't have as much stamina as Annabeth

Shes quite flexible also

Pretty good swimmer

Annabeth

Naturally quite thin

been training her whole life so she's got strong arms and legs and core

Really good at running and sprinting

Very agile too

Core strength and upper body strength

Great at dodging attacks, less good at blocking

Tallest of the girlies

Climber shoulders/back muscles

Wishes she had Piper’s curves kinda. She doesn't care all that much but occasionally is like damn wouldn't that be nice

Frank

Arrgh I hate how in the middle of the series Rick took away all of his fat. Screw you sir. Put it back. Put it bacK

So Frank Immediately gets his tum back in the span of a few weeks

He's also really tired for the next however long after the Mars boy magic adrenaline wears off bc where's his fuel??? Gone!!

Very good at Lifting stuff. He had to carry stuffs for his grandma all the time bc she was old

Mostly strong in the arms and chest/pectorals

His growth spurt happened real quick so he's still not used to how big he is which is why he's all clumsy

Needs to work on balance and coordination lol

Although he got most of his chub back, his Babyface™ didn't come back quite so strong

Hazel

Hazel is the shortest girlie

Was really thin back in the 40s and then gained quite a bit soon after she came back to life. She was very confused and probably horrified

This was bc of a combination of having a growth spurt, pressure on little girls to be thin back then and the times having changed now, having enough to eat now, and changes in the amounts of additives and high fructose corn syrup and shit in foods

She was really distraught for a while bc much like Nico’s internal conflict with The Gay, decades ago being chubby was an unforgivable sin for a little girl

Obv not to Nico’s extent bc I don't think people were killed for being fat but still

It takes her a while to see it as not a bad thing but just a thing

She has pretty evenly distributed muscle strength because when she started exercise at camp jupiter they worked All The Groups

Leo

We love our tiny little shrimp man

He didn't get enough to eat during his growth spurt so he's kind of stunted

Even though he's a hephaestus boy he could not for the life of him build a lot of muscle

He's not that strong

He's probably pretty flexible though

Nico

Also stunted because he didn't eat enough in his growth spurt

Pretty strong though

Smol but he is still growing

Is getting taller and will almost definitely surpass Leo

Also is slowly gaining a healthy amount of weight as he stays at camp and Will makes him eat and sleep more regularly and now he's less tired all the time

Pretty good core strength and balance and agility

Looks more his child age now that his cheeks are more filled in

Reyna

Buff Girl

Girlie works out when shes stressed and now she's got muscles like steel cables

Im talking arms, shoulders, core, legs, glutes

Can arm wrestle Jason and win even if he does try his darnedest

Incredible sprinter

Does so many squats that she got the whole bakery lol

Really likes her muscles

Flexes in the mirror

Jason expressed to her how impressive it was a few times and it was partially why she fell in love with him lol

Will

Will has pretty good arm muscles actually and can lift heavy stuffs

Can lift his bf easily

He has a soft tum tho and padding on his arms

Does yoga and stretching and that works his core

Soft

Eats good proteins and veggies and gets good sleeps

Healthy boi 10/10

So... I've finally watched the first Utena musical

The whole cast singing the lines of the prince in masks without him appearing himself...do you get it... he's an idea...he doesn't exist... He's just a concept from a fairytale repeated by everyone...

Saionji is so dramatic I love it

I don't like the fact that Utena's uniform clearly has a different shape to the shape of the ones worn by guys. It was like that in the anime too, but in real life it looks weird, like it's too small for the actress. Otherwise the costumes are amazing tho

Zettai unmei mokushiroku was used so well... Compared to the first few songs it's very sudden and intense, very fitting for the first scene in which Utena enters the dueling arena

The way everyone moves is so in character, Anthy picking up her dress when she walks (like a princess), Touga constantly with hands in his pockets (laid-back and indifferent), Juri with arms crossed (shielding herself), Utena's strong butch energy

I love how they did the sword of Dios thing

Wtf is this disco song??? It's so random and out of nowhere...Wait. Is it this musical's equivalent of the anime intro?? That's so smart...

Anthy's voice is so pretty I'm gonna cry

Utena immediately calling Anthy her friend, even though she doesn't know her...she is so full of love to give and so starved for close human connection.... (how very middle school of her too). Nanami is perfect...Her song with Miki on the keys lmao. Wakaba constantly in the background... foreshadowing??

There are like. 5 different scenes happening at once

Utena and Wakaba's friendship contrasted with Touga and Saionji's broken one...damn...

"I measure the time I spend hating the student council" LMAOOO

Anthy's creepy laugh... Actually this is a good visual way to show how weird she appears to the other characters and make sure the audience associates this uneasy feeling with her

Juri standing on the chair lol. The humor in this version makes it so clear that those are highschool students

And I adore the meta jokes about weird shit going on in the background during the council meetings and no one really knowing what the stop watch does

I noticed that Juri touches her hair whenever she's vulnerable. Nice detail

Juri angst...ouch...

Why is the sword of Dios so big tho

I love the desperate song of Wakaba inspiring Utena to take back who she was. And her being the only one to say that the girl's outfit doesn't suit Utena... But as soon as her role of inspiring the main character is fulfilled, the curtain falls and only Utena is left on stage.

...Surely....

The ending was amazing..

All in all I'm convinced that a stage play of Utena is the best type of adaptation that could ever be made. The anime already had allusions to theatre and stages so it works perfectly.

ok so now I'm thinking about clown Texas Chainsaw Massacre....

I always already saw Chop Top as a silly rodeo clown - during the very end of the radio station scene especially he puts on L.G.'s cowboy hat and scurries off, honking his bike horn. CLOWN BEHAVIOR

Bubba is the big comedy clown with like pants way too big, wearing suspenders to keep them up. to make fun of the fact he's already so damn large, and he's somehow wearing even bigger clothes. he wears a painted mask. very clumsy. and obviously quiet, so pantomiming. (basically what he does anyway)

So, Drayton is just a grumpy clown, but if I had to visualize his style, I might go for the "hobo clown" archetype? Not that i think he specifically fits that bc he's not the type to be a "tramp", but I see the suit outfit and his demeanor fitting the performance style. could maybe see the fact that he's a salesman playing a part there at least too.

Nubbins is the jokester. He's intentionally playing pranks on Drayton or getting Bubba into trouble, and he has a good laugh. Chop Top also falls into this role, but he's more cowboy than his brother.

The family members easily work off of each other - they already annoy each other or are stupid. like cmon it's SO cartoonish and clowny that Drayton just fuckin kicks Bubba in the butt already in tcm 2. That is like.... peak.

so it's easy to imagine like, uh oh whoops Nubbins tricks Bubba into accidentally pie-ing Drayton in the face and now mister grumpy clown is gonna initiate some slapstick, but Chop Top's being a little shit and tattles while laughing and now the twins are both in for it.

... It's all a very less abusive way of seeing their dynamics and I think that's much nicer lol.

I guess they'd still eat people tho, like they aren't all nice. But hey.

+note: this was really good. I was, however, expecting there to be blood. I do understand the reasons for staying on the safe side, but honestly, it's sad and unfortunate that this avoidance has to be practiced when the game itself is founded on dark and unusual themes—that alone should be a pass for unorthodox things to be injected into it. Including Paimon's Haematophilia would've sprinkled extra spice and given an even more unique dash to this scene. The sheer contrast with his sweet appearance would've truly been a cherry on top.

edit 4: I PASSED. OH MY GOD. I PASSED. I DON'T BELIEVE IT. BARBATOS, ASTAROTH, PPYONG, MY SAVIOURS! YOU PROTECTED SATAN AND SAVED ME! Let me mention what happened, though, because my God. The third time was the charm in this case. After try upon try, I almost won, but then Satan died, so no can do. That was near-win number one. On my second almost-victory, I had 2 angels left but they were the screaming ones—I had two remaining hearts, so I was was just about to either move Satan and use his Ultimate attack or let one of them pass but guess what? NO MORE MOVES! Satan's HP was near zero so he goes *poof* and I lose with hope because WE CAN ALL SEVEN OF US KICK BUTT AS WE ARE AFTER ALL! The third time, though? Rattle 'em, boys we got it in the bag! Anyways, I'm elated. TIME TO CONTINUE THE STORY and perhaps not celebrate just yet, because I'm certain more battles like this one are on the way. But wow, it really did take three days this time too!

Yumiella and Patrick are such a power couple. I love them sm 😩

She’s gotta stop injuring him during these training exercises tho 🤣. At least she’s always good for a heal afterwards. But why did they censor the healing scene? What type of freaky stuff are those dark arms doing lol

“I promise I’ll never look down on you or dislike you because of your hair color” Aw, Patrick is so sweet. As someone who’s been bullied for his hair colour, he can really empathise with Yumiella and knows there’s way more to her than just her power and hair. It must be so nice for Yumiella to finally have someone who talks to her normally. Everyone else is either afraid or detests her.

And of course she repays him by sending him flying again during the training exercises 😂 she’s gotta start focusing more on those sparring matches so she doesn’t hurt people.

No surprise the teacher put Yumiella on healing duty for this lesson. Even though the magic flute was great for the students’ development, they weren’t mentally prepared for that.

Another censored healing scene.. wtf are those dark magic arms doing. Everyone looks flustered as hell when it happens

The prince is really starting to get on my nerves. Alicia is a big enough girl to ask her own questions and here goes this loser getting between she and Yumiella as if Alicia didn’t approach her first. Yumiella’s monologue during that scene was pretty sad. She must feel really alone. Can’t fit in at school, can’t fit in outside of school.. good thing Patrick stepped in and stood up for her! We’ve never seen her smile like that before. Can’t wait to see their relationship continue to develop

All right, a point in this show's favor, this look at Nightsister rituals and culture is interesting.

Ngl, the editing really needs to be tightened up in this scene, we really only needed the one or two establishing shots before cutting into the interior.

Eman continues to be the perfect Ezra. I love him. 10/10 no complaints.

Where do I begin?

Okay so... final verdict... I DO actually like this show.

THAT BEING SAID.

There was soooooooo much about the execution and so many of the narrative choices that I just NEEDED to be better and it frustrates me. Because this show by all rights should have been a spectacular emotional thrill ride like Kenobi and it just wasn't.

A lot of the problems and nitpicks I had with Kenobi are exacerbated here, especially under Filoni's brand of, "I didn't care for what Lucas did with the Prequels, here let me fix it." NO FILONI IT DIDN'T NEED FIXING IT WAS FINE! HOW THE FORCE WORKED WAS FINE! THE JEDI WERE FINE!

But there's such GOOD STUFF in here that I can't discount it all fully like I can with the Sequel Trilogy. (Which, believe me, I have attempted to workshop and fixfic but ultimately gave up on.) The purrgil lore! The Ancient Dathomiri! Another galaxy! Whatever Baylan was up to! Sabezra being adorable! Thrawn!

Soooooo yeah, basically join me sometime in the future for when I inevitably create a fixfic AU for this show like I did for Aldnoah.Zero because unfortunately I can't give up on this show I need to fix it, just hand me the characters and story and I can fix it.

Can't do much for the camerawork, choreography, and occasional stiff acting (Not you Eman, Natasha, Ray, Evan, and Lars, you're all great.) but I can at least salvage that part lol.

Ultimately... mid. Excellent premise and cool concepts brought down by subpar execution and some frankly baffling narrative decisions. But gimme like a week and I will workshop a Fanon AU that I can be completely happy with.

Hopefully we get a Season Two? Maybe? Or resolve everything in the Mandoverse movie?

LOL i think when i wrote that in (because the kiss scene was the first part written of ch04/acswy in general) andi commented on it like HEHEHEHE as well! we'd been vocal about the parent trap references before so i think it was a nice easter egg to put in there! there were definitely some people who knew the kiss was coming but maybe not a full blown make out while swoon by beach weather plays in the background 💘

i will remain silent on all of the intricacies of mike and will's 13 year old kissing and the fearless lore BUT i can at least reiterate what ch04 confirmed: they have kissed before! they were 13! it was mike's first kiss! at this time, i cannot confirm or deny that it was will's first kiss as well!

loving the way this neurodivergent line is probably the standout of ch04 because when i initially wrote it, it was definitely somewhat of a joke -- and then suni and andi said NO LEAVE THAT IN and it's everyone's favorite HAHA

Ep 13: Vash the Stampede

@trigun98watchparty The Pain and Suffering Trigun Arc has begun, which must mean it's time for....

...a clip show! Woo hoo!

For the fic writer (me) it's helpful to see what the insurance girls are actually doing. They must be working on Vash-related claims (and, probably, non-Vash-related claims) while they follow him around.

...that would be a fun little fic. "This one was you... this one was you... this one was you..." "IT WAS NOT!"

--I wonder whether Meryl and Milly were ordered to follow Vash, or whether Meryl applied for the posting because of ambition / opportunities for advancement. I'd like to think the latter.

--Meryl having a terrible time with what to write and how to write it is hella relatable. Balancing truth, half-truth, and personal feelings into professional talking points - let alone making it palatable for the higher-ups - is not easy.

--Besides that, she has to paper over why she didn't recognize that Vash was Vash. Half the reason she's so mad at him at the beginning is that she was expecting someone who fit the legendary description, and instead he's a big doofus. What a disappointment!

--And then, horror of horrors, Vash starts to grow on her. How embarrassing. Guess Vash's ridiculous finger-gun hit the heart of a lady after all. Poor Meryl.

--The apparatus Meryl uses for coffee is called a Siphon. Does she carry that thing around? Apparently she runs on caffeine and aggravation.

--Milly runs on tea and amiability.

--OH YEAH, SHE'S ON A ROLL NOW, GET THOSE WORDS OUT WHILE THEY'RE FLOWING GIRL

--"Everyone who has become involved with him has somehow regained an emotion which was once lost." (what's yours, Meryl?)

--She's so confused. Who is he? Who is he, really?

--Vash is remarkably calm and welcoming for someone who's just had his privacy massively invaded.

--OTOH it's rather nice that Trigun slyly subverts the stereotypical "shower scene."

--Why does he have sweats on right out of the shower? Is he a never-nude?

--"I wouldn't run away." Freudian slip!

--The English translation is janky in several spots, and this is a big one. Meryl is supposed to say "Won't you stop living the way you do?" Vash's response of "I can't until I've buried my past" doesn't make sense in the English because the translation isn't correct.

--those eyes, tho. Meryl is so sunk. She's done.

--Milly, you stinker. She knows what's up.

Somehow, im inspired to write that 'revision fic'. === (EDIT : u can skip but heres another snippet for u (3 separate bits that fit together nicely, actually haha) cuz hihi. THE AU: As i said, its a failed "3"rd regression context, where yjh is now in his "4"th round. The last memory he has of kdj is him dying, and to make things worse "In this round, that guy doesn't exist." is a thing, so yjh freaks out a bit but hes totally normal about this whole ordeal & the fact that he doesnt even remembers kdj's face now. I always like. do an outline for the overall story and vibe, then flesh out the start or something and cook up a little 500 (probably unsatisfying) words for fun kind of as a bonus. Keep it mostly for my private enjoyment and move on before the story comes to life. And that's okay... Yes, it would be cooler to actually write the AU ideas i get in novel or comic form instead of having them stay at just the 'sketch' & 'idea/brainstorm' phase before i get another idea and leave them to dust up in the pile,,

But yeah, its okay.

In the few years since ive started getting ideas for more elaborate aus/fics, ive noticed that my ideas improved with time. (no shit, i know, but it makes me happy! i grew up!!! i can see it.) My planning methods are better too. So all of that unfinished or abandoned stuff is not at all useless work in my eyes. And who knows, maybe one day i'll bring them back.

--> as a plus, all my fandom brainrot experiences even get transferred into my OC stuff, and frl whenever i read my notes these days (or listen to my voice memos lol) and im just like "HOW DID I THINK OF THIS WOW" or "WHEN DID I PUT THIS LIKE THIS? IT WORKS!" (not to brag or anything but my oc lore goes hard ☝️)

BUT. NOW THIS IS UNEXPECTED.

I DID NO PLANNING. I just started writing for orv and its. Lowkey, good ???? Dont get me wrong i only have 1.5k right now and there are clear holes i have to fill and stuff but... CLEAR HOLES! CLEAR HOLES. Sure Im used to being like "something of the sort should go there..." BUT THIS TIME ITS "THIS SHOULD GO THERE, ILL WRITE IT LATER BUT THE IMAGE IS IN MY MIND, CLEAR AS WATER, AND ONCE I START PUTTING IT ON THE PAGE ISTG THOSE WORDS WILL STREAM OUT OF MY FINGERS AS IF IT WAS A NORMAL OCCURENCE FOR ME" ,,- !??? Anyways. Point is that somehow theres interesting stuff going on in my gg doc and the more i write the more i know where i want to go, so that's cool, i feel all powerfull for once

LILITH & DANTE

I've mentioned it before but I'll repeat for clarity's sake: these two used to date, broke it off after a while and have been best friends ever since. Or as close as hell allows.

They're so outgoing, these two lol

Introvert MCs wouldn't quite be forced out of their shells or anything, more like… gently coaxed out of them.

I think these two really balance each other, actually.

Lilith likes spoiling people, Dante likes being spoiled. Lilith likes receiving grand gestures of affection, Dante thinks it's worth it to starve if he wants to get someone he likes a nice gift. Lilith likes things premeditated, Dante… likes to set things on fire lol

A chaotic MC + Dante… they would drive Lilith to the brink of insanity.

Likewise, if two people were doting on him all the time Dante would be so annoyed lol

I think the best-fitting MC would be someone who just… gently lets themselves be swayed with the flow. Wreaking havoc with Dante, enjoying the peacefulness with Lilith… a golden retriever of an MC.

They're the only poly who allow a V Poly option! Otherwise MC has to help them sort out some pretty important baggage Dante and Lilith would have never addressed without them.

DANTE & NATHAN

In my notes, I call them dumb and dumber.

They really can't stand each other lol being hereditary enemies and all of that

Well, not entirely true: Dante can't stand Nathan. Nathan loves to tease and push Dante's buttons.

If MC joined in the teasing (and was in Dante's good graces)… omg.

Dante wouldn't even be mad just so embarrassed.

Liking Dante comes as a natural develop to Nathan— Liking Nathan feels, to Dante, like banging his head against the wall and hoping for each pounce to hurt less.

But he can't help himself lol especially with MC being their glue.

I'm not entirely sure if they'd be able to get together without MC being a mediator (or an instigator). Most likely not.

Their dynamic is basically an evolution: from fighting all the time to using their arguments as a means to flirt.

An MC who would fit right in their little duo hmm... I think they'd really need someone who didn't put up with their bullshit and managed to reel them in into behaving like normal people—not quite people, but y'know—for two seconds. Someone a little bossy to balance Nathan out but not rigid enough to suffocate Dante.

ALIYAH & LILITH

I admit that this is a thing only because of self-gratification, but then it just worked so well.

Aliyah is a ball of anger and Lilith is a fuzz of affection, but since their meeting they always feel a sense of respect towards each other (unless some things happen, then they get off to a more tense start, stc).

Their dynamic is actually very simple and sweet. Aliyah disrespects and hates everything and everyone, Lilith scolds her for it and Ali begrudgingly accepts they might be right.

I call this duo in my notes ‘Mom and Dad’ (you can probably tell who is who)

MC joining as a third Parent would be so interesting. Especially an MC who was more stoic and quiet! Just: angry energy, soft energy and cold energy. To really balance things here.

On a serious note, a stoic MC would seem really endearing to both Aliyah and Lilith. Ali would respect that they're not rattled by her bullshit, and Lilith would love to try and fluster them. Just getting any reaction really. Their enthusiasm would probably influence Aliyah into joining in.

Aliyah probably feels like she's been cheated into dating MC and Lilith tho lol

Little addition to the talk about Oscar's PR management and pushing Lily a bit more into the light.

I agree with everything the other anon said but I'd like to add how it also means they are portraying Lando and Oscar differently.

Clearly, along the 2023 season we saw McLaren media leans more and more towards the slightly shippy "Landoscar" theme.

Not in a too obvious way but there were little nods towards the ship.

In 2024, we still got some little things (the picture from Barcelona, the "Osc", etc...) but it's more subtle, more leaning between shipping and friendship.

And for me it goes along with the want to picture Oscar as someone reliable and serious by showing is relationship with Lily more and also having him involved in other activities (like the Reef thing).

They are slowly letting us know that Oscar is more than just a driver and a cute boy. He has a personality, interests and a life outside of the track.

As a shipper, I hope we will soon get more funny Landoscar content to play with.

As someone interested in communication and marketing, I love trying to understand what is happening behind the scenes!

I totally see that and tbh it fits with him hiring a social media manager that AND the Andrea press release about changing their media duties around. tho the intention they gave for that was for Oscar and Lando to have more down time which hasn't actually happened bc they've both stayed just as busy but separately.

I have an anon I'm sitting on bc there's a LOT to address and some of it feels a little too .... idk tricky. but their point was that McLaren want to renege a bit on the whole 'Lando and Oscar doing everything for the team and not being in competition with each other' now that McLaren is officially up there fighting consistently for podiums and the top 3 or 4 championship spots. that splitting them up more in terms of media duties COULD be a way of creating space for them to have if not a full on rivalry then a Charles and Carlos type of competition.

the thing is that Lando and Oscar on their own keep saying how much they work together and share data and have the same needs for the car etc and that they want healthy motivation between each other.

but also I think for anyone who's had to work in a committee or be a part of regular team meetings there's also got to be the reality of someone coming in and saying 'let's change things up!' to maybe keep their job or stand out and it ends up being sort of a mess and maybe the old system was actually just fine alsfgjlsagfhljsfa it's truly possible that this whole Reputation era revamp is going to prove to be a mistake or that it's just not being very well executed.

bc I can't say that pulling Oscar away from Lando is ever going to work well for him when Oscar just isn't interested in being The Guy. he wants to show up and do his job and compete and then go home lol. so it ends up that not only do fans not get the fun teammate content they've come to expect from McLaren with the previous two teammates, it also means that super motivated Lando is maximizing on every opportunity and becoming a bigger star on his own - while Oscar has to struggle to meet the media's needs for energy and dynamism without having someone he knows he can bounce off of. the Esteban RC car thing was just... ok lol. that's not what any of us would like to see him spending his time filming. the Great Barrier Reef thing is nice but it's not the same as Seb or Lewis bc as Oscar even said he only ever really knew much about the issue from school. and most of Oscar's life is spent away from that issue and away from Australia. (he even kinda said that it was a great side benefit of being able to stay in Australia longer and have Lily involved instead of heading right back to MTC)

fundamentally, Oscar wants to have more time for his private life and he doesn't want to broadcast it- and I think that if they simply dropped the silly challenges and just gave Lando and Oscar a topic in a free moment and filmed it then Oscar could have more time away from filming and we as fans would get Lando and Oscar's real relationship that's fun and cute but without them feeling awkward at being told to dance and perform. the whole thing would be way less pressure for both Oscar and Lando.

remember, Lando isn't naturally like that! Carlos and Daniel learned that PR bromance game early in their careers and play it well but Lando follows their lead and basically reacts to them! early 2019 Lando was basically a featherless little chick watching Carlos with big eyes and squawking at how funny he was but he was sooooo nervous and twitchy about being on camera until he learned to copy Carlos' humor and bounce it back to him.

so genuinely when Lando and Oscar are just allowed to talk normally, it takes less time than setting up for elaborate challenges and they'd both feel more relaxed and get more time off.

I remembered that Menogias canonically likes designing intricate outfits and also made Zhongli's clothes, so he's the costume designer instead of cloud retainer. since she's handy w mechanical things and inventions + has a sense of the arts and style (eg ganyu + shenhe), I put her on production designer instead. she'd probably be able to come up w some pretty inventive set designs I think. I was between madame ping, guizhong, xinyan, and yun jin for music—originally I intended to make the cast most/all adepti, so i'd decided against yun jin + xinyan. in the exquisite night chimes cutscene with madame ping and guizhong, ping was stated to value music's human expressiveness and emotion—and I thought that was more fitting for a movie composer!

originally i was going to have yanfei be editor LOL, since she's probably pretty detail oriented as a lawyer and able to do the fine tuning and editing of cuts/scenes—went for ganyu in the end, partly because she feels more connected to the rest of the crew, and also because the vibes of secretary and editor just fit together better lol. they're both one of those mostly under the radar jobs that don't get much attention but are really important to something's success. I added in xingqiu and hu tao as story writers pretty late; originally yun jin was going to do both story and screenplay, but I split it up and put them both on story after seeing the vision (below).

xingqiu's legend of sword flop combined with hu tao's reputation gives this hypothetical movie a greatly increased chance of absolutely tanking in liyue's box office!!!

keqing and ningguang are producers just because they're members of the qixing—originally guizhong was going to be a third producer but I bumped her to director later on (for a rather mundane reason: i was running out of space on that line). ok finally we've come to the directors. I thought it would be funny if rex lapis was listed as a director, given Zhongli has too many names and outfits. you can use your imagination to make this make sense in a real au :) guizhong getting added as co-director was also a nice thing that happened coincidentally—I found it neat to have the two founders of liyue as directors and kept it.

logos: I decided to go all in and slapped some designs together for qixing films and glazed moon studios! these were lowkey fun and they turned out pretty well honestly! quality is bad tho, i didn't make them full size or svg RIP

2 versions of the glazed moon studios logo—the 1st one is unused bc i decided against the way the m and o are joined together. tbh I don't know whether this looks enough like a logo for a movie studio instead of say, a perfume brand or high end pastry bakery, but it's good enough

the website is a fake but there is a real page at that link about ancient history school presentations

april 28 was the release date of the no mere stone quest! and pg13 is. idk warnings for character death i guess. and genshin is supposedly rated for people 12 and up so i went with that

concepts/process: originally I was going to have the entire thing be one poster:

the white stuff behind kun jun is supposed to resemble the white wisps of energy that he had near the end of the quest when he's close to disappearing. and I struck out his eyes because of the huge huge thing the quest had about Morax's gift of sight—his glasses, Zhongli as the sun to a blind dragon, I thought it was a fitting nod to that whole theme. overall tho this version was too cluttered, had no focus, and also didn't have enough room for a potential credits block. so i split it into two—one with the background, and added the small retuo in front, and another w kun jun and the credits. i think it worked pretty well!

and. 1 final version of the kun jun poster, with the alternate quote "if it is fated, Morax, we will meet again." you can see some of the old crew choices and logo designs—and Qixing Films was originally Celestial Films haha

oh! one last thing: take this transparent kun jun (and several others) for the road :)

My poor Sin.. aww that nightmare scene broke my heart. And Sin still out here confused af. Like there's Will... then I really want my Mc to remember being hopelessly inlove with Murmur because they are just everything and then I'm like hella intrigued by Dani. So many playthroughs because Devi can't write shitty ROs.

Let's be honest tho if you wrote an asshole RO you would probably find a way to write them appealing anyway 😒

😂 to be honest, my favorite characters tend to be assholes with a secret heart of gold... I'm unsure if any of the ROs in either story could fit it? All the ROs in SoS are kind of all... nice? But, as you'll see a little later in the story, Dani can be a bit unpredictable.

I guess Hal can be a bit of an asshole... But whether he has a heart of gold or not is to be seen. lol And Demo was kind of an asshole too, I guess.

Anyway, I'm glad you're liking SoS so far. Your comments always make my day!! 😊

What a volume. Truly I think one of the best CRWBY has made.

I’d give it a 9/10

Ever After was a beautifully designed world that was a nice change of pace from Remnant. All the side characters were each so unique, I especially loved the paper pleasers.

The cat was a fantastic villain (tho the final design was wack lol) In the beginning he held this air of mystery and wonder that was so fun to watch. And then his villainous side came out and it just all made sense. Especially because the brothers created him so flawed. He helped others get to the tree but never could himself. I kinda wish he got to Remnant just cause I think Salam having a cat partner would be amazing but he wouldn’t really fit in with the rest of the story.

I thought Jaune’s story was really intriguing. He needed to learn that heroes are allowed to fail and that sometimes you need to learn to let go of things. I think having him fuck with time was a great way to have him learn that. If it wasn’t for the old age I don’t think his breakdown would have held the same weight.

Ruby’s character ark this volume was great tho I have some gripes. I loved that we finally got to see her feel all the shit she’s been through. And her breakdown was very well done. Her scene with Neo was very hard to watch in a good way. I liked her decision to go to the tree. I’m a firm believer that it was not suicide like other people do but that’s just me. I loved her conversation with the blacksmith and how discovering Summer wasn’t perfect helped her realize that Ruby Rose is enough. I just wish the decision had more time, it felt a little rushed. And I needed an apology scene, like what she said to WBY was messed up. Yes she was hurting but that doesn’t make it ok.

Blake and Yang becoming a couple was 10/10 truly amazing. To finally see that was so important and it was handled so well

Blake really shined this volume, she truly felt like she was almost lighter in a way. She was the positive one of the group and was just so much more confident. I loved it

Yang stayed just as great as she always is. Her sad scenes hit. Her jokes hit. Her love for her team was just as prominent as always. And she still continues to be the person who asks questions, she doesn’t believe everything she’s told. I also loved that she was finally comforted during her time of need, she deserves to be loved man

Weiss… here’s my problem lol. Her as comic relief was amazing. Loved that. But after that we really got nothing? Don’t get me wrong her sadness over Atlas was good. And her understanding of both Jaune’s struggles and Ruby’s was great. Her empathy shined through. But we didn’t get any of her struggles worked on. Yes it was shown she has them, but idk she never just got to really explore them. Yes her speech to Jaune was also towards herself but idk I guess I just wanted more?

Obviously there is more to touch on but that’s the gist of my thoughts rn. My last gripe is that the episodes were way to short. It really fucked with the enjoyment for me. But I still loved the volume and it might become my favorite over volume 6

HC’s on how the RFA & Saeran would react to MC being a fashion designer/someone who loves to sew

Kim Jihyun (V):

his mc wanted to challenge themselves by sketching out styles they usually didn’t use

they were thinking about nice and calm colors, but didn’t know how to get it on paper

they remembered v used to paint and asked him if he could teach them how to use watercolor

he was a little hesitant at first because he thought a professional would be better for them, but they insisted

during his break from selling his work, he’d be one of the many photographers taking pictures at mc’s fashion shows

he offered to be the photographer for some of mc’s photoshoots and the pictures he takes often make it to the cover page

let’s face it, he’s a genius

all of the models in mc’s fashion house that have worked with v have all said it was a great experience

so that evening, he was putting his and mc’s clothes away, but noticed mc didn’t have any tags on their clothes

he confronted mc when they got home and asked if they’d like the tags cut off for them whenever they got new clothes

for a moment mc was confused, but laughed and shook their head, telling him that they sew their own clothes

“Wait, then what about that dress you wore to the company party last month? I didn’t buy that one for you.”

“I made it myself.”

how had he not seen mc’s name in the list of the best designers he was given?????

a bit surprised since around her, mc is always wearing casual, comfy clothes

sorry mc looked like a plain regular person like everybody else

mc does little things like repairing buttons and stitching up tears in her business attire and it just Warms. Her. Heart.

mc actually teaches jaehee the basics and they have fun sewing stuff together during their free-time

eventually when jaehee opens a café, mc surprises her with a bunch of wrapped gifts at the grand opening

flowers are overrated sorry

the boxes had table cloths, cleaning rags, oven mittens, aprons, curtains, and so much more all made by mc themselves

this darling almost cried

when did mc even have the spare time to sew all of these

it must’ve taken up so much time and energy

is forever grateful for the wonderful gift and all of mc’s hard work

Ryu Hyun (Zen):

one time he asked if they could design the costumes for one of the musicals he was starring in

the two of them would bounce off numerous ideas with one another, so the sketching phase wasn’t as stressful

he even tried sketching out a few designs himself

they had a bit of trouble choosing between ten, yes ten, different outfits because he LOOKS GOOD IN EVERYTHING

“Can’t you just wear all of them.”

“It’ll take too much time to change between scenes, plus the character doesn’t wear that many different outfits in this play. I’d love to wear all your designs though.”

zen wears the ones he doesn’t use in the musical, at home lol

not that mc minds tho cuz eye candy

he felt jealous when his mc had to take the other actors’ measurements and when they had costume fittings

he couldn’t help it. those guys were too close to them for his liking

he didn’t say anything about it, although he did get a little more clingy

enjoys being mc’s “mannequin” for sewing projects

Choi Saeyoung (707):

he found out it was their career when he did the background check

would totally ask mc to sew outfits for cosplaying and his missions

when he notices mc stressing because of deadlines, he gives them silly and ridiculous ideas to make them laugh

is really helpful when mc needs to make important presentations for team meetings

he drew a few sketches in crayon and slipped them into one of mc’s folders lololol

at mc’s workplace, they were having a bad day and ended up bumping into one of their coworkers

mc happened to be holding some folders and a few of saeyoung’s sketches fell out

bending down to pick them back up, mc felt a smile tug at the corner of their lips

“Choi Saeyoung.”

uh oh mc’s holding his drawings and he panics

“MC, I’m so sorry. I was just joking around and-”

“Thank you.”

"What?"

one day, mc dragged him along with them to go out shopping for fabrics, threads, and all that

all the big bulks of fabric were making his nose itchy, but he didn’t mind if he was able to see mc happy

the elder ladies often pointed out how cute the two of them looked together and even teased them, asking when he was planning to propose

gaaaaah we’re just here to buy fabric

this precious marshmallow had this loving look in his eyes the entire time as he watched his precious squishy mc ramble on and on about different types of fabric, patterns, and colors

they sounded so cute and that little twinkle in their eyes had his heart racing

mc gave him a handkerchief as a gift before

it was a simple, white handkerchief with his initials and his favorite flower embroidered on one of the corners

it’s very special to him and he always makes sure not a single speck of dirt gets on it

Kim Yoosung:

when he finds out that mc is a famous designer, he starts to feel a little bit self-conscious about what he wears

he even debates on how he should style his hair, but mc reassures him that he looks fine just the way he is

when he doesn’t know if an outfit looks good or if he doesn’t know what to wear, he’d ask mc for advice

he loves it when they give him clothes that they had sewn as gifts

asks if mc could teach him how to sew and they start with hand-sewing

their apartment feels like a home ec class lmao

mc suggests they should start with sewing machines next

but yoosung's like nOPE sewing machines are for Professionals

tbh he’s just scared he might end up sewing his shirt and the fabric together and getting stuck

this little squish tried sewing a puppy stuffed animal for mc, but it turned out a little misshapen

he was too embarrassed to give it to them and hid it somewhere, but of course mc found it by accident and asked him what it was

he had no choice but to tell the truth. curse his luck hdhjshdj

mc thanks him and kisses him on the cheek

they now sleep with it whenever they go to bed, which makes yoosung kind of jealous lol
