I think it has been out for long enough now (and it's already been going around social media, hah) that I can gush about rayman's pages from the laserhawk artbook because hoO BOY. MY FEELINGS.

I KNOW I'VE TALKED ABOUT IT BEFORE (because my friend was kind enough to share images when his copy initially arrived!), BUT I FEEL SO DANG BAD FOR RAYMAN. this poor guy is going through emotional HELL. god, if only I could be there for him... I really wish I could. ;; I am, in spirit, heh. :')

he didn't deserve the shit he went through... he really didn't. I just wanna hug him and hold him close and never let go and tell him everything's gonna be okay and that he has me and that I'll always be there for him. is it weird to genuinely have these REALLY strong empathetic feelings for a fictional character? it hurts ME to see him hurt! (but then again, of course it does - he's my husband!) I genuinely get so upset at the thought of how badly life treated him hahah 😭

on a lighter note, the concept arts for him are adorable 💖 I can't help but giggle at how... 'anime' he looked initially. like, VERY sexyman-ish. what an... interesting take. I like the rayman we got in the final product much more 😆 my goofy silly guy. <3

He wouldn't dare to assume. If it doesn't hurt you to speak, he will ask what helps to ease your symptoms and follow the instructions down to a t.

Meds? He's getting them for you and putting them in order nearby so it's both quick to reach and he won't have to leave you alone

Are you too cold, too hot? He's opening the windows, he's pulling off the armor and slipping under the covers with you - he runs hot, and any inch of warmth he can provide is yours to take!

Feeling sore? He is amazing at giving massages, and will do his best to soothe your body with the techniques he's learned.

Does talking distracts you from everything? He will chat with you about anything and everything. If you just want to hear him, he's got more than enough tales of the planets he's been, of shenanigans the squad got into, of the books he reads. If you want, he'll even read some of his poetry to you – if you promise not to laugh

If you just want to rest, he will let you snuggle to him – or snuggle to you if you like spooning – and sleep the day away.

Don't worry about chores and errands – if you're resting, he'll do it himself. And, only if you're not opposed to their presence – one or two of his vod will drop by and do it for you (you're Cheese's partner, they come in the package as new brothers for you hahah)

And worry not if you need assistance with shower or bath: he will help you out. It's an honor for him that his cyar'ika would trust him enough to lean on him in such a vulnerable time

And if the flare-up lasts for days? You bet he's pulling every string and favor, because he will not leave you side until you're back on your feet 💖

SUPER touchy (if you’re okay with it obviously!!) but like his arm is either always over your shoulders, offering to give you a hug, “accidentally” bumping his hand into yours when walking, acting like he fell asleep on a flight or a car ride when he’s sat next to you so he can put his head on your shoulder.

Nervous hands when your around! Usually he’s so calm and confident, but when you’re around him he can’t seem to stop fidgeting

“Hey sweetheart, I made you a mix of some music I think you’d like🥺”

So so so so sweet, like running to open doors for you, always offering up his jacket if it’s chilly, bringing you coffee to set every morning, just a ton of small gestures

“You look real nice dolled up, sweetheart” he’d nervously tell you when you dressed up for any red carpet event.

If you guys were out at a bar, he’d get drunk and perform the ‘greatest’ karaoke ballads for you, but they always made you laugh.

If he saw anyone making you uncomfortable whether out at a bar or male fans seeing you guys in public, he’d just step right next to you and grab your hand to pull you behind him.

Would always want you to watch him do a stunt, and when he got done doing a super cool one he would just excitedly ask, “did y/n see that?!?!”

He’d try to do little things to annoy you, but only for the purpose of getting your attention, and would never do anything too bad.

“Jokingly” call you ‘my girl’. Like if Knox wanted to do a stunt with you steveo would just say “hey I’m already doing that with my girl” and he’d dramatically throw an arm around your shoulders.

When you guys were all out at a bar he would always tell the bartender to put your drinks on his tab

Give you piggy back rides everywhere around set, even after a long day

If the guys were over at your apartment for dinner or a drink, he’d intentionally leave his jacket or wallet behind so he’d have an excuse to come back when the others were gone to talk to you alone, and sometimes convince you to watch a movie or have another drink.

Would always try to compliment you on something, whether it be your outfit, shoes, hair, or just a simple “you look pretty today, y/n”

Would try extra hard to make you laugh

Always coming to you when he wants to pull a prank on the guys

When you all would stay at April and Phil’s when filming, he would volunteer to share the guest room with you, but would make you take the bed, insisting he sleeps on the air mattress on the floor

If he got hurt and would need to go to the hospital he’d ask for you to either go with him in the ambulance or the car, which you’d gladly do.

I am very, very lucky in that I have friends that I love dearly and (against all odds) love me back 💕 and it's so often I catch myself feeling lonely, like, bone-deep and soul-achingly so, and then I feel bad. because I DO have love in my life, I know it and feel it and see it, so shouldn't that be enough? love is hard. I totally feel you on the thing about comfort, which is what I think is my main thing. it's not just that I need to prefer spending time with this yet-to-be-met 'someone' than being by myself, but also that I need to trust in myself enough to be comfortable with them. I can trust them and believe that they love me but not trust that I'm good enough to warrant that, that whatever it is they love is just some inaccurate facsimile they've concocted in their minds of who I am. I suppose it's rooted in self doubt.
