Okay but I'm obsessed with this change actually?? Is it just me or does it not feel like we're being given a sneak peak into their married life? I doubt that any of the bonus chapter will make its way into the film unfortunately, but it also kind of feels like this was a way of paying homage to it?

Not sure that's what they were going for but this looks exactly like the "married people date" they we're planning in Henry's chapter.

#when i was in middle school gay was still a widely accepted slur and i didn't know a single out queer #when i was in high school i was in a privileged environment in the sense that it was a multicultural school that really put the emphasis #on tolerance #so i wasn't bullied for being queer but i was so terrified of it anyway that it took me ages to come out to myself #because my whole life i'd been taught (and by taught i mean no one talked about it but that was the underlying message) #that gay wasn't okay and that it was something that only happened to very few unlucky people #when i got my first crush on a girl (it took me months to even acknowledge that i liked her) i remember thinking #why me #i was already disabled and i was like why do i keep drawing the short straw #why do these things that only happen to some people here and there keep happening to me #now i know that being queer is a blessing but back then i felt cursed #and discussions of gender were non existent i wasn't even thinking about that #so anyway. it just warms my heart so much that only 10-15 years later kids in middle school and high school are able to express themselves #freely #and be joyful and carefree in their queerness #it makes me so emotional #rain.stuff

Sindri is a beautiful character.

When he’s first introduced, you just think he’s just a funny guy who dislikes germs and dirt and blood but he becomes so much more.

Despite closing himself off to the world in a physical sense, Sindri opens up his heart and his home to his friends. As Kratos and Atreus continue to bring more and more people into his house, he deals with it and opens up more rooms. When Atreus is having problems, he puts his fear of germs aside to give him a pat on the shoulder. He’s becoming something more.

Then he loses Brok.

Instantly, the tone shifts. The house is still open, yes, but his heart is closed. When the others plan Ragnarök, he volunteers to go to the dwarves—but comes back empty handed. Why? Because he doesn’t want anyone else to feel the same loss as he. Sindri prevented an entire race from participating yet still did the same amount of damage they could, all because he didn’t want to sacrifice more of his people to Odin.

Sindri, the man who hated bloodshed, is the one to finally put Odin down. He knows what he’s done and he shows zero remorse for it. Kratos says in the first of the Norse games that there are consequences to killing a God. Was Sindri’s consequence the loss of Brok just prior?

And then we get to Brok’s funeral. Despite how he acts towards the heroes, Sindri still allows Kratos and Freya to attend. Despite everything, despite the hate and loathing he may feel, he lets them stay. He’s still angry, as we know, but not only does he let them stay, he lets them participate. He lets Kratos carry Brok to the boat. He lets Freya light it. Despite it all, Sindri still loves his friends. And he knows Brok loved them, too.

Sindri, man. His character arc has been one of the best written ones I’ve seen. I pray he’s in the next one.

amazing how ch 364 can bring me to tears before I even get to the ending. Like, there's the title "if i'm not alone, then" because Hinata was so, so lonely and now he's got a team and an insane partner and rivals and he's playing the best volleyball there is to play with the best people he could possibly play with.

But then you move forward and you can see Hinata unraveling in real time, see him get more manic with each panel but then it's an intense rally so you're distracted with Kageyama's failed dump and Daichi's cool foot moves and Tsukishima's awesome jump and there's not time to think that there's something wrong with Shoyo even though I know there is and then Hinata makes that beautiful, beautiful save but look at his eyes he's not ok but everyone's cheering and Kageyama's calling him and it's like that first quick all over again and he SCORES from the very ball he dug and it's amazing and Karsuno's in the lead and Tanaka's coming to help him up like he's helped him so many times before but Hinata just falls and this time, he doesn't get back up.

And then in the middle of all this, there's just so much other things to get emotional about too like the tsukki/hinata teamwork and tsukki getting competitive about volleyball and kita's commentary on daichi and the entire team going for the ball each and it's so overwhelming that when it all stops, the stillness suffocates you.
