I removed all but 5 of my prints in INPRNT as I have enough funds to withdraw in a month. There is still some sort of sale going on, because of course there is. The last prints will be removed later, once I can actually jump up and get some proofs for my own prints and figure out the logistics of shipping.
That in of itself is easily the main reason I liked sites like INPRNT, so...it is not an easy decision to make, and so please be respectful of other creators who can't so easily abandon their INPRNT storefronts.
missed you (the weeknd, 2020) // the song of achilles (madeline miller, 2011) // handle with care (jodi picoult, 2009) // call out my name (the weeknd, 2018) // kimi no na wa. (eng. your name. makoto shinkai, 2016) // the raven king (maggie stiefvater, 2016)
ok i know we are all freaking out about the recession and i’m no finance bitch but i’m hearing people my age say that they will never afford a house n whatnot and i get the pessimism but my mom the other day told me that my parents didn’t think they would afford a house when they were my age and up until after the 2008 recession they were like yeah renters forever but now they have a house. idk i can’t go everyday being pessimistic about capitalism cause at that point what’s the point in even being here. i guess if ur one of the people freaking out just remember the capitalistic economy still tends to ebb and flow i suppose (???)
unfortunately i Do feel better when i clean my living space and eat enough fruits and veggies and go outside and generally remember i am a mammal :| real pity that knowing this does not make it easier to do those things
i didn't have "i'm broken" teenage asexual angst i had "i'm literally being the only reasonable one about this concept and the rest of you are behaving like fucking freaks" perception issues
cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes
just to watch that all fall apart in the last year or so and especially the last two weeks
there's nowhere good to go anymore for artists.
edit - a lot of people are saying the tags are important so actually, you'll look at my tags.
#please dont delete your accounts because of the AI crap. your art deserves more than being lost like that #if you have a good PC please glaze or nightshade it. if you dont or it doesnt work with your style (like mine) please start watermarking #use a plain-ish font. make it your username. if people can't google what your watermark says and find ur account its not a good watermark #it needs to be central in the image - NOT on the canvas edges - and put it in multiple places if you are compelled #please dont stop posting your art because of this shit. we just have to hope regulations will come slamming down on these shitheads#in the next year or two and you want to have accounts to come back to. the world Needs real art #if we all leave that just makes more room for these scam artists to fill in with their soulless recycled garbage #improvise adapt overcome. it sucks but it is what it is for the moment. safeguard yourself as best you can without making #years of art from thousands of artists lost media. the digital world and art is too temporary to hastily click a Delete button out of spite
learning that self deprecation isnt cool and just makes the people around you uncomfortable unironically improved my mental health a lot. like if you just stop saying negative shit about yourself you will genuinely like yourself more and other people wont be repulsed by your attitude and you will have more friends. it's true.
Ao3 is actually massively culturally important and very very good at being what it is. I’m so serious when I say that ao3 needs to be protected as the anti censorship, by fans for fans, nonprofit, volunteer run, expertly designed archival site that it is. You don’t have to read or like fanfiction to understand that on principle, ao3 is a site that should be defended.
So... a bunch of NFT grifters threw a party in Hong Kong this weekend and reportedly a bunch of attendees are now at risk of permanent eyesight damage because the promoters used unsafe lighting, and people are going to the ER...
