I just want to make a small update here-- this blog is officially on hiatus when it comes to new posts. I'll mainly be focusing on cleaning up and making some edits to a few older posts when I do post here, or answering questions in the askbox that don't require full-on meta analysis posts, or sometimes just reblogging my older posts every now and then.

This is mainly because I've got quite a few projects I'm working on right now, as well as being currently quite stressed in my day-to-day life. I will come back to writing new posts here in a few months or so, but probably a bit more sporadically for now.

Hey everyone, sorry for the silence! I’m in consulting and have sadly been stuck working crazy hours since I got promoted in October

I also got married 2 weeks ago (!!) so I have not had much free time to write on the weekends either. It was 3 separate days of ceremonies and a lot of fun, but I’ll be happy to never do anything like that ever again

I actually just got back and started some edits for an additional branch in the last chapter (staying in alone instead of going out with everyone else). Chapter 8 is also about 30% done according to my outline, although it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been in there

Sorry for the lack of communication. For me, the longer I go without progress, the more pressure I feel to have ✨huge news✨ and a definite date for new content before I post anything at all again. I know it’s frustrating when authors drop off the face of the earth, apologies 💗

Tentatively, I hope to finish up the next chapter by the end of July 🤞

Which is the best Mel Blanc scream?

It’s a question philosophers, scholars, and many who have been just a little too bored have pondered for ages. Why not try and find a concrete answer?

How it works: I’ll be regularly conducting polls asking you! Yes! You! to pick out which tell you like best—two options with a video racked on of both clips together. First clip will be the first option, second is second, etc. I’ll be posting them in chronological order—once that is all through, it’ll be a process of elimination. Each poll will be open for about a week, so there’s plenty of time to take yer pick!

This’ll be a relatively casual experiment spread out over an indeterminate amount of time. Weeks? Months? However long it takes to compile each scream! Bear in mind that there are hundreds of cartoons to sort through, and some may accidentally slip through the cracks—I’ll do my best to prevent this, but if I do find one I forgot to add, this rule of chronology may be occasionally broken to ensure fairness.

I am committed to fairness and accuracy, so every Mel Blanc scream means every Mel Blanc scream. Thus, there may be some examples that have obviously aged less favorably than others. I’ll do my best to add the appropriate disclaimers if those situations do pop up while striving to maintain as much objectivity as possible. If you’ve been following me for awhile, this isn’t anything incredibly new.

That’s all! This is just something for stupid fun and obviously something anyone can participate in—it would be great if you could reblog these polls to get a wider reach (outside of my usual echo chamber of animation fanatics like myself!) Let’s have some much needed fun and much needed yelling.

This is my 2 AM thought-

I'm thinking about writing out Raya's story but making two versions of it. One is my oc and then the other is readers insert, like what I'm doing for Immortal She. Either way, they both end up with John with it being literally the same story line, I just know some people prefer readers interest to an OC story, and I don't mind catering.

If I ever find my laptop, that is. Still missing and we have searched everywhere, I'm quite sad about it.
