ive been mostly okay today (someone made fun of me because i was talking about things i like. for an example, sun & moon from fnaf and stars. but again, that person makes fun of my interests daily so-). aside from that, today has been rather peaceful, calm, quiet so that makes me feel relaxed.

Talking about 5* stars and not really liking them. I started playing genshin when Ayakas re-run banner was out (the one with Ayato and Venti I phase 1) and I decided to pull on her banner because Razor was there and I adore the little wolf boy. But in 22 pulls I got Jean which was great! She a good healer and a very useful character for me in my early game. I did not get Razor though and was in a dilemma of should I pull again for Razor? Or save my guarantee for someone else? The answer is I am an idiot and wished an in 30 pulls Razor came home but with Ayaka too. I didn't use her for a while she later did grow on me and is also one of my strongest currently but the disappointment I had for her also because I'm a mobile player and had trouble with her sprint I feel bad for feeling that way about her back then.

Well, that's valid! I was a bit disappointed, when I first got Keqing (til I got hu tao too) but she ended up becoming my fave to play as! I think it makes sense to have certain characters you're not as excited to play as or have! I skipped out on Ayaka cus I wanted Ayato AND I had 2 5 star cryo users already in Qiqi and Eula! I really enjoy Ayaka's gameplay and I quite like her as a character but Ayato was more important....im still building him so he's benched atm tho asdfghj

THANKFULLY the hunter didn’t catch any of us my heart was gonna burst 😭 and then the next we were at byako plain . i panic and transformed into the wooden barrel near the water stream. idk what’s happening at first bcos i can see the other rebel from where i’m at— they were using sayu. they were standing there with the npcs and the apparently the hunter just couldn’t see them? and then the childe one transformed to a chair . the hunter chased them every where and to the roof. i was the only remaining rebel after the game. pretty fun!!

+ i read then i decided to just watch !! IM ON SEASON 3 RN and halfway thru!! im so excited to meet the rest of the villains . this anime rly proves if villain why sexy. everyone is attractive . god. pls. ➜ Warning/s: mentions of ending a life. mentions of violence but i made this pretty vague enough to hopefully not trigger anyone.

➜ Note/s: this took long for me to write aaa i was busy with schoolwork the whole day so i’m late today oof. anywayy thanks for the request! was kind of intrigued writing this one since i’ve been building keqing lately hehe. hopefully i was able to fulfill your brainrot haha. feel free to send requests! they’re still open~

DILUC was instantly by your side, eyes trailing over your state before he quickly glares at the person in front of the both of you. He doesn’t know this person, nor does he ever want to, not when he could see the bruises and wounds that were inflicted on your skin and the look of fear that despite of having to keep it well, was still obvious on the way your hands and whole body shook, even until now when he was clearly already there to protect you at all costs.

So even if he doesn’t know the real context of why this is happening and who this person is, he was already in a fighting stance, ready to plummet them any time they strike again. Fortunately and knowingly, he was faster than the other person, being able to discard their weapon away before he could even raise it, pinning them down to the ground with all of his strength. He doesn’t even have to use his vision in order to do so honestly.

“Who are they, Y/n? Why are they trying to attack you?” he’d question, confused as to why this person seemed to hold an anger that could have been from a grudge towards you, and even if he’d want to beat this person up, he’d of course want to know if it is worth even saving the time to do so.

When he heard your answer that the person was an ex of yours and that they were trying to kill you for leaving them, there was a fiery anger that surged in his chest that made him want to beat the person up. However, he holds it in and there was a menacing aura that surrounded him as he let out a scoff.

“If you have nothing else better to do, better I give you off to the Knights of Favonius then. Surely you’d enjoy rotting in jail rather than running around, thinking of taking a life in your own hands. Pathetic.”

basically, Diluc is the type to want to “protect” and as his s/o, you’d be at his highest priority. He’s basically the knight in shining armor, except he’s not wearing armor and he’s not a knight anymore.

Would be too concerned of you but he wouldn’t pry too much. Still, he’s very worried and confused how a sweet person like you would have someone come after you.

He’d be now making sure no one is going to do the same thing again and would always keep an eye out for anyone who would dare hurt you.

KEQING came at the speed of light, her sword clashing with the person’s own weapon, instantly shielding you from the other’s point of view.

“Who are you and why have you come here? Why are you pointing a weapon towards Y/n? I am a Yuheng from the Liyue Qixing, surely we can talk about this and-” when the person launched forward, not paying any mind to her words, you immediately recoil back in fear as Keqing stood her ground, defending with a confident stature much more than you’ve ever seen her.

“You don’t want to talk then? Fine. If you want to fight, make sure you won’t regret it.”

She would actually beat up the person whilst using her vision to basically be able to tire the person out. If she finds out they’re your ex in the middle of this fight, there would be a slight change in her demeanor. At first, she’d try to interrogate them but as soon as she hears the truth, she just turns silent, almost like she had lost all mercy to this person and just wants to beat them as soon as possible.

And once she did, she’d look down at them, chin up and glaring eyes.

“As much as I hate giving word to the Milellith to send someone to prison, I’d have to give an exception to you. You seemed to have bad intentions to Y/n and as her companion, I wouldn’t want that.”

Once she was sure that your ex was truly restrained, that’s when she’ll turn to look at you and check if you have any major injuries. She was sure she didn’t take long to take the person down but she was really worried you took serious blows before she can even turn her attention to you. Thankfully though, you didn’t and that’s when her shoulders would visibly ease up, a breath of relief escaping her lips.

“I’m glad you’re not hurt much. Don’t worry about them now, alright? You’d be asked by the Milellith later on who they are but for now, let me get you a doctor to check you thoroughly. You’re safe now, I’m here.”

With her background, Keqing is authoritative. She’s actually quite used at these confrontations, making sure to tackle the problem first before repairing what needs to be repaired. She might seem uncaring at first, but she’d be tense the whole encounter, worrying at the back of her head about your current situation.

But still, she’d first do her duty to bring the person down before actually taking a good look on you.

She’s going to be really caring after that, staying by your side the whole time, trying to ask gently how this came to be. She wouldn’t push you to tell the whole story but she’s just worried okay… she wants to know what you guys should look out for

I think she’d probably even ask the Milellith to always look out for you, especially at times when she wouldn’t be there for you. She trusts in them but of course it’s still better when she’s there to protect you as much as she can.

!! LONG RANT !! noticed it happened when i logged in today, 3.30pm.

My genshin acc got hacked and they deleted my eula build as well as her weapon, and hu tao, her build and weapon too.

Crying, sobbing, throwing up, sliding against the wall 💔😟

Luckily they didn’t change my pass (i changed it, well my friend changed it for me since i didnt know how to) so fortunately, i got it back but lost tons of valuable items.

My team has barbara, hu tao, keqing and eula. Eula is of course, my main damage dealer— which makes her the most affective against enemies since she's physical. They deleted my lvl 90 snow tombed claymore which me and my friend spent a lot of time to grind for. Luckily, keqing is safe and sound, while barbara only lost 1 artifact. Though, i fixed her build a little so she’s fine. They also deleted my white tassel which i used on hu tao but why would they do that????

Its literally a lvl 70 3* weapon, how jealous can you be, hello???? Did i cry? Yes, absolutely. Do i despise them? Of course. Now, i have to bench eula and replace her with raiden. But luckily, i do have some spare artifacts for raiden, and it went well so far. Hu tao however... is fixed just by a bit, but she deals less damage then she used to, which of course makes me upset. I also took note of someone who was very suspicious to me, though i decided to ignore it.

I don’t think MiHoYo will give me justice any time soon, though, my friend has contacted them through instagram and is awaiting for a response. Though, i doubt they'd do anything as i have zero proof on me getting hacked.

I heard from my friend that if you joined/let someone join your world, they would somehow gain access to your account/info. I, however, is socially active and would constantly help low ar players with quests, world bosses, etc (im ar 54). From now on, i have put automatic reject for any co-op requests unless they are from my friends list (they will have to inform me first thou) my trust issues have greatly increased because of this.

as much as i hate to say this, i should've never been so nice and social to them. i was helping, only helping and being nothing but nice and respectful. I gained tons of friends on this game, so i made the decision to not quit genshin as i have spent around MYR150+.

Please don't say shit like "its just a game, get over it 🙄" "you can farm again" "why are you overreacting?? i've got my acc hacked too” listen, i don’t care if it’s just a game. This is my way of coping through stress in reality, and farming for artifacts are long, very long. I have horrible artifact luck so it will take months for me to even finish building one single character. I will never accept comparison between somebody else's experience and mine.

I’m not calling it trauma, but of course this has given me ✨Emotional damage✨.

“every positive has it’s negative!” no, karen. shit like this shouldn’t be taken lightly as it could (yes it can) damage someones mentality. They use it as an escape from reality and it’s painful twists. Doing things like this would ruin their mental health, and also physical health as they could neglect their physical health. What can you even gain from deleting somebody’s hard work? Right, absolutely nothing. You cant even trade it, so why bother?

oof ok listen im not that skilled with mona bc even though i have her c3 i barely play her (legit rebuilt her this morning with kinda leftovers artifacts lmao)

but let's see, shall we?

she's an amazing character and her ult is probably one the most powerful of the entire game BUT mainly for a 1-hit target (like she's the best when it comes to oneshotting bosses but multiple targets mh not so much, unless your dps has a very good AoE but then again she'd 'over' dmg like hilichurls don't have 100k hp yk)

xingqiu is more balanced in hydro application and dps hits with his ult + his particles generation is absolutely insane when you have the sac sword and around mmh 175% er

so i think it really depends on what you want to do with them - you'll vape/electro-charged way more with xingqiu bc mona's skill is not that great for application compared to him, same with her ult. his own ult allows you to apply hydro every time you hit a mob so yanfei (i don't use keqing either so i can't really tell) will be more efficient with him, only slowed down by her own internal cooldown

long story short i think that in open world and abyss rooms with lots of scattered mobs, you're better off with xingqiu. but for bosses (both in open world and abyss rooms), she'll allow you to deal way more dmg than him (not only because of her explosion but bc of her omen's dmg buff)

both are great, i have a soft spot for xingqiu but it's bc he didn't ruin my pity 4 times yk

i do strongly recommend building mona bc she'll allow you to break your crit dmg record, but yeah xingqiu is more flexible imo!!

TLDR; xq for hydro application and scattered mobs, mona for bosses!

Since it's up to the author to pic a scene, I think I'll go with the keqing vs beidou fight because i was actually really excited to write it! (and implications, but more of writing action, because sometimes writing action is fun and i don’t do enough of it)

So: At this point in time, Keqing has not had her Vision for long, and Beidou has had hers for quite a few years, which would make a pretty big difference in regards to experience, not to mention Keqing being loath to use hers for in-universe reasons while Beidou, well, she lives the life of a pirate. Point is, given more time to practice and getting used to the ins and outs of a Vision, I think they'd be a lot more equally matched, especially considering keqing's sheer speed.

That said, even looking at in game stats, keqing is much more of an offensive unit than Beidou, all her stats funnel into making her hit harder, and her skill lets her teleport- not to mention being very good at applying electro (which didn't happen as much here because she's still iffy on relying that much on her Vision). Meanwhile, even though yes, Beidou's skill and ult are very offensive too, even making her one of the best supports (yes I'm biased), her skill is a PARRY and her ult, if you have a few constellations, GIVES HER A SHIELD, and as a claymore user, her fighting is slower, more reactive (with devastating effects) and uh im loosing my train of thought. SO anyways, in a situation where beidou has the initiative for being more willing to fight dirty, more experience with her Vision, and willing to pull out the defense stats from the partial shift for scales, Keqing was at a pretty big disadvantage (one that would've been solved had Keqing been more willing to use her Vision since like, electro build keqing is really good, but i'm still biased).

ANYHOW, the other aspect of writing that fight i was really excited for was to incorporate game elements, namely the fact that THE CHARACTERS CAN VANISH AND REAPPEAR THEIR WEAPONS

The biggest downside to a claymore when terrain isn't being nasty would be its speed, and its momentum is a double-edged blade. Yes, it will bisect a person in two based on how Beidou, Eula, Diluc and etc swing it, but there's a lull after each swing to redirect momentum, but what if it could be negated by immediately stashing the weapon in their subspace and pulling it out elsewhere?? Yeah, that'll need a lot of practice and getting used, but imagine you're fighting someone with a bigass sword: you can only dodge or parry, never block because i reiterate, BIGASS SWORD, and you're waiting for when they overextend or for that little moment of time where their momentum causes them to need a bit to readjust.

except they don't.

The BIGASS SWORD just straight up vanishes in sparks, and they readjust their hands, and suddenly the BIGASS SWORD is BACK and IN YOUR FACE (not literally, in this fight at least).

so imagine Keqing's surprise when she thought Beidou overswung, only to find not a second later that Vision users like Beidou can invalidate one of the biggest cons of using a claymore to fight purely by sticking it back in a subspace and taking it out again.

So yeah, I guess i just wanted to take this opportunity to like, froth over the fact of how BROKEN in universe claymore users can be considering how they can just take their weapons out of their subspace inventory whenever they like, and put it back whenever as well.

i have successfully solo'd the electro artifs domain for the the first time at lvl 90 (w/ my lil lvl 70 team lmao), no buffs, just one death (though i did have 2 deaths and buffs on the 2nd turn bc i got lazy and i fuckin hate those cicin mage bitches lmao)

I saw you giving advice and I hope you can maybe help me? I dont usually play this style of game so I'm not used to building teams (I mean with Pokémon I barely used stat boosts/field moves. Just tried to cover all types with STAB). Ultimately I'd like to have Keqing, Xiao, and Diluc (if he ever comes home sob) on my team. I currently have Qiqi and kind of building Ningguang to use her shield powers, but idk what to do or if I should replace anyone? I like to play based on (p1)

(p2) characters I like but because of that I'm not sure if I'm accidentally using too many dps characters, idk what I'm doing with support, etc... I'm so lost lol. Should I replace anyone? Or just get nice artifacts/buffs to make them too strong so it doesn't matter (is that even possible?)? I'm all over the place sorry but I was also considering going for Venti and Zhongli if he gets a rerun. Thanks for any help! 😣

hi there!  what i’m going to say is based off of my experience of the game (playing since october, currently ar55).  feel free to dismiss this advice if it doesn’t vibe with you!!  it’s ultimately your game and i’m only trying to give guidelines, but if you should enjoy this game the way you want.

also, anon who asked for albedo dps, im working on it rn!!  i just don’t own him so i need to read up more than usual.

SHOULD YOU REPLACE ANYONE?  i don’t see any problem with having keqing, xiao, qiqi, diluc (when he comes home to you) and ning on the same team or rotating in and out in overworld.  it sounds like you’re a new-ish player, so i don’t think you’re in spiral abyss yet - and if you are in spiral, definitely in later levels, you shouldn’t organize your teams this way.  as you progress more and more throughout genshin (i’d say starting ar45), you’re going to need to focus on strategic team comp more, get used to switching out characters for abilities and comboing, etc.  so my answer to this question is that, if you’re below ar45, you shouldn’t stress about being particular with overworld team comp.

but if you want my recommendation for overworld?  i don’t know which characters you have right now, so i’ll just name teams (of 4star characters) that i think would suit keqing, xiao, and diluc.

team keqing:  keqing, beidou, xinyan, diona. 

team xiao:  xiao, razor, diona, bennett.

team diluc:  diluc, xingqiu, sucrose, diona. 

DON’T BUILD NINGGUANG AS A SHIELDER.  i don’t think building ningguang for her shields is an efficient use of her abilities; ning is inherently made as a dps character, and all of her abilities are offensive, with her screen serving dual purposes as offensive and defensive.  molding all of her potential (normal attack, skill, burst) into a different role than initially designed will take more resources and you will make this an extra challenge for yourself.  if you want a shielder, why not try noelle, or diona, or xinyan?  they all have build-in shields that are more instantaneous and flexible than going out of your way to make ningguang a full support. 

shield strength made from geo interactions scales off of the elemental mastery of the character the shield is on.  think about this for a bit: shields made from geo crystals are the most effective when they match the element of the attack being dealt towards your character.  but this assumes that you can pick up that element to react with geo in the first place, which is impractical, considering that the only common enemies that have elements on them are abyss mages and whopperflowers - and even then, whopperflowers don’t generate those elements all the time on themselves.  so if you continue to build ningguang as a shielder, i’d say around 80% of the time in overworld, you won’t be making effective shields and are stunting her damage-dealing capabilities (because shielder ning would be stacked with elemental mastery instead of attack). 

USING TOO MANY DPS CHARACTERS?  again, this isn’t a problem in overworld.  in later adventure ranks, you’ll start realizing though that you won’t need the majority of your current team to be dps/damage-oriented.  practically, why would you load all of  your sources on damage when all of that damage isn’t necessary?  (that was just what i myself came to realize as well around ar40, so personal opinion right there.)  overworld is very lax though, so again i will stress, no need to fuss over team-comps in overworld.  

MAKE THEM TOO STRONG SO IT DOESN’T MATTER?  in overworld, yes, it is possible to do this.  you can absolutely solo-character-carry yourself with buff units, assuming you get good artifacts.  but i really, really would recommend you not focus on artifacts until around ar40+, and then start getting picky with them after ar45+.  this is because the endgame goal is to get all 5star artifacts for your main characters, since they provide the highest stats.  you are guaranteed at least one 5star artifact per level 90 artifact domain run starting at ar45, so if you try farming for them beforehand, a lot of your resin will be wasted.

on the off chance that you’re attempting hardcore spiral, i’ll put this here: in spiral, the logic “make them too strong [off of artifacts] so it doesn’t matter” flies straight out of the window.  you cannot solo-character-carry yourself through the later floors of spiral, especially floors 9-12.  not putting this next bit into boast, but just instead to prove my point: both my keqing and xiao (my main dps characters) have over 200% crit damage and over 55% crit rate, with over 1,800 attack each.  keqing has a maxed normal attack (level 10) and xiao has his ultimate maxed (level 10 as well).  both have, essentially, pay to play weapons.  i still get my ass kicked on floor 11.  

so, no, unless you are a whale, you can’t solo-character-carry yourself through spiral abyss.  in later spiral floors, you will need to get used to switching between characters, and building supportive characters like sucrose, bennett, xingqiu, diona, etc.  

VENTI OR ZHONGLI?  venit is broken in overworld.  he’s so accessible in co-op as well that i’m tempted to say venti > zhongli.  however, for spiral abyss floors 9-12, zhongli will actually be more useful than venti because venti’s ultimate won’t pick up the monsters in those floors, which is all he is practically useful for.  so from a practical, midcore/hardcore standpoint, i would recommend zhongli over venti for spiral.

haha anyways genshin must be on some wild fucking shit if they think theyre gonna try and drag out their main story for like 2 years. on god having like half a year between main chapters of its already weak spindly little story is like mindboggling decision i do not trust your storytelling skills at all to make any of the hype worth it but i also think thanks to the general playerbases inability to read they will continually feel disappointment at how poor genshins main story content is and how it is purveyed to the reader especially in comparison to the lore which is completely jarring in quality of delivery.

in the archon quest at the end of liyue chapter you get a lore dump from zhongli where he just stands there and gives you like 3 quest prompts about shit that exists for no reason other than idk “they needed to put the plot threads in there asap and they forgot they had an entire world to do it in” and then that mf disappears. forever. literally exiled from the overworld unless you pay like ninety quid to summon him on his banner. not to mention every single other npc you meet will never appear again outside of their instanced quests. it’s such a weird jarring end point that you’re left stranded in and its not only a frustratingly awkward delivery, it honestly just seems pointless. why couldn’t there have been an extended epilogue that involves talking to the npc character FROM inazuma, talking to beidou who is a pirate with an electro vision about idk ... travel and her ELECTRO vision being granted which is a feat she in known for in the lore of liyue folk. it could even be someone from the qixing like ningguang who surely would know about the status of foreign nations or keqing who has an electro vision and would absolutely have something to say about baal’s stance on things and her condescension towards humans. god it could still even be zhongli just space it out, let him invite us to dinner and chat over liyue cuisine and let inazuma come up naturally thgouh paimons huge appetite to eat new things. not only would the pacing be better, the plot threads be put in a way where you dont immediately forget them because they’re being rapidfire talked at you, but it would be a great way to make the character seem like theyre people with lives and not just trying to move the plot along and be on their way.

conversely, the story of arundolyn and rostam, the legends of mondstadt and the ordo favonius, the lion and the wolf, the building hints towards the cataclysm of khaenri’ah and what kind of nation earned the scorn of the gods -- its all slowly fed to you piece by piece linked through artifacts, world lore, in-game books, weapons and sometimes the world itself. you uncover things as you explore and the more thoroughly you explore - the more you discover! it’s rewarding, it feels natural and its some of the most fun you have piecing together stories and building out this strange world like some kinda anime historian and it encourages theorycrafting rather than a concrete set of events and characters being straightforward. its genuinely interesting that theres a whole society and cast of characters from the days of yore who are intimately connected with our current cast and the world we live in but also very much their own interesting characters who hold their own legacies and wills, carving them into the stars for ill or good.

its almost as if the main quest writers and the lore writers are completely separate, work on different floors and they dont ever meet because why ... why on earth would you deliver critical parts of the main story in such a blatantly poor way and make it have none of the nuance and intrigue as the worldbuilding? in a game that is designed for the express purpose of making people sympathetic and invested with characters to spend silly money on them? you think your paper thin story is going to let you do that? no gacha game is allowed to have storytelling subpar to the most average middle of the pack lightnovel and get away with being a gacha game. your story has to have at least a few moments where i am dazzled, daresay fucking delighted, at least a second where i have to stop and say ‘this is cool as hell’ or ‘FUCK ITS HAPPENING’ or else it is well and truly expendably worthless non-product! you have to be a little more ambitious than making some normie shit and try and make the story have a little heart! i dont doubt that they can do it, im sure there are talented writers there since i like a lot of the characterisations but man, let em free you need them no more than ever

the only thing i can think of that explains how watered down the story feels in comparison to lore, is a fear of making people ‘read too much’ in the main quests which honestly doesnt seem to be much of an issue to them. lanternrite wasnt that long but the sheer amount of npc dialogue feels staggering because its all ultimately ... inconsequential. we have no investment into these npcs and theres like 15 odd quests of it, it goes from cool world flavour text to genuinely feels like its taking up space all because they are trying to endear you to the lives of these generic npcs when you’d rather know like even one thing about chongyuns life and daily routine or xinyans performances. being able to see kaeya for one second even was the most fun and even then i was still disappointed cause its like bro? you didnt even let him do anything and it was JUST him? in the world there are so many characters explicitly referenced but never utilised and it makes their complete absence even more noticeable and frankly fucking baffling? not even fate episodes for all of our 12 SRs? actually nevermind, even the character stories are somehow unforgivably generic!

honestly i feel like the best event so far was the unreconciled stars event but by my standards it definitely felt like ‘solid gacha game event story’ with a touch of something more interesting with the inclusion of scaramouche’s lore insight. i was hoping this his how events would be in genshin, i really thought that this was the ‘standard’ but for some reason, its beginning to seem like that event was a bit of an outlier? i would gladly take less events and have them be more like the unreconciled stars event, with character interactions and slowly improving and hashing out who these characters are over never-ending carousel of random events that are mostly fetch-quests or fluff.

idk man its just a strange mess of me enjoying genshins world and theorycrafting, loving playing the game and exploring but feeling like the ball is not bein dropped but violently slammed into the ground by the sheer lack of character content whilst being praised by everyone under the sun for ‘story’ and ‘characters’. m*hoyo do better bitch! you already made such a good roster of characters now fuckin do something with them! stop releasing new characters without bothering with any of the existing ones! i beg of you!
