It's home cinema manufacturing time! 🏴‍☠️ Gonna put my pirate show on my shelf! (I'm doing an Arts and Crafts Project and I'm making it everyone's problem.)

After seeing how much they cost, I abandoned the idea of getting a Blu-ray writer for now. For the time being, good old DVDs is what it's going to be! My TV is old and not very big, so DVD resolution is gonna be fine.

It's been ages since I last burned a DVD. For the full experience, I'm gonna create nice menus and pretty sleeves for the boxes. Graphic design is my passion! Um.

Well. First needed to find a program to do stuff with. I'm a Linux guy, so I'm using Devede. (Which is free, btw. In case someone else wants to do a low cost spot of putting pirate show on the shelf.)

DVDs fit a maximum of 120 minutes of video. So, four episodes, I thought. But after a quick attempt, the program refused to do more than three (maybe because of the menu also taking up space, and four episodes cutting pretty close to the 120 min mark?). Anyway, three episodes per disc it is. It's a pretty nice runtime for watching the entire disc, IMO. An hour and a half, and then you can return to reality to realise you should probably eat something, or go to bed because it's midnight.

OFMD with its current two seasons has a total of eighteen episodes, which is divisible by three. You get the following setup:

Disc 1: Pilot, A Damned Man, The Gentleman Pirate - That's pretty good, Stede's introduction to piracy all on one disc!

Disc 2: Discomfort in a Married State, The Best Revenge is Dressing Well, The Art of Fuckery - All bangers. Great to watch together, our boys meet and shenanigans happen!

Disc 3: This is Happening, We Gull Way Back, Act of Grace - Many romantic moments, lots of great scenes, shit hits the fan at the end there. Alright!

Disc 4: Wherever you go, there you are, Impossible Birds, Red Flags - ... Pain and angst! What have I done!?! The disc of horrors. Gotta make sure to have tissues at hand when I watch this. But hey, it also has messy bun Ed! Small mercies.

Disc 5: The Innkeeper, Fun and Games, The Curse of the Seafaring Life. - Another disc with all winners. I love all these episodes so much! (You can watch this disc to recover from the trauma of the previous one!) But seriously, this one slaps.

Disc 6: Calypso's Birthday, Man on Fire, Mermen - Great combination again. Season finale! Love and excitement!

... Honestly, except for the psychological damage of putting all the most painful episodes together, this is coming out pretty cool. Says a lot about how good the show is. I actually really love all the episodes (yes even the painful angsty episodes of massive depression). Thinking about this little project really reminded me how much I love this entire show.

So, we got a tracklist, now menus, then we can burn this stuff!

I did the menu backgrounds in GIMP. Realised I have a big folder full of screenshots I took myself, screenshots someone else took and posted on Tumblr, official promo pics for the show, and I have no idea anymore where most of them are from, because I named the files according to what's on them. Which is useful for when you want to find pics (Need a picture of cursed suit Stede? I have files named that, easy peasy!), but not so great if you wanted to give credit to whoever took a given pic you used. (It's probably @sherlockig or @ofmd-ann or @blakbonnet. Please feel credited, your beautiful screens and gifs brighten my day, and some of them are now probably part of my DVD menus. Shrunk down and cropped, but, yeah.)

I originally wanted to structure my menus as having the title of an episode, then some pics from it, then the next episode, then pics from that, and so forth, but I couldn't convince the program to give me the necessary padding between the menu items, so I ended up just putting the episode images below the menu. Still like it.

Anyway, DVD menus can also play sound! Behold a crappy video of my beautiful creation (provided entirely for sound):

🚨 Triple Frontier concept art + "new" old photos! 🚨

I'm so excited about this! During a TF search spiral (don't we all have those?) I actually hit gold when I stumbled across Greg Berry's website. He was the Production Designer of the movie and made a book as something for the crew to look back at - and as an intro to the film.

It's really worth a look, because it has gorgeous concept art, pictures of certain spaces (the bar, Lorea's house) before they shot and how they envision it to be. There's also an image for the storage container, but this seems to be considerably smaller and different than what they ended up using.

Her Clumsy Girl (Katie McCabe x Reader)

A/n: this is so cute. also what do you guys think of the instagram pic thing i did.

Prompt: in which you’re a machine on the field but when you’re off the field you’re the clumsiest person ever

Arsenal had started a new video collection for their youtube channel. Every month, they gave a go pro camera to one player to film little snippets of their life on and off field to then be turned into a youtube video. Fans were obsessed with it. The first month, Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema had it, the second, Kim Little, and this month, fans were begging for you and Katie to have it. So, you agreed. Jonas gave you the camera on monday after training, and you immediately started filming on your way home.

You and Katie had been together for a year, and despite Katie’s fierce and slightly argumentative personality on the pitch, you had never had a fight. Off the pitch, she was a real sweetheart. For you, however, on the pitch, you were tactical, strong, and you would weave through players as though they were pilons. And off the field, you were so clumsy you could have tripped over an ant.

"Hey guys!" You said, fumbling with the camera and trying your best to place it on the dashboard. "Damn it!" You giggled as the camera fell again. You finally managed to set it up where it stayed still and where you and Katie were both in frame. "You’re hopeless." Katie said, keeping her eyes on the rainy road. "Am not!" You poured, turning your attention back to the camera. "Anyways. Training just ended so that’s why we’re looking sweaty and disgusting. So, we’re going home to shower and change and then we’re going out shopping for the afternoon. I need new-" You started saying. "Want. You want new shoes." Katie cut you off. "Shut up, Katie." You said to her.

You cut the camera, knowing you shouldn’t film too much because the videos were only ten minutes long.

"This vlog is going to be chaotic, babe." Katie said, smiling at you before turning her eyes back to the road. "It will not. I guarantee you I can spend the month without you getting a single clumsy moment from me on camera." You told her. "Oh you are so on. What do we win?" Katie asked. "Hmm, the winner gets to take the looser on a date. The winner plans everything, and the looser pays for everything." You pitched. "Sounds good to me."

You lost the bet three hours later.

You had gone home, showered and changed. The rain had stopped and it was now sunny and warm in London, and you wore a black cropped tank top with black trousers and beige loafers. Accessories were always the way to go with you, so you wore rings and bracelets as well as two necklaces. You loved showing off your tattoos, and Katie loved seeing them.

You got back into your car to go to the shopping outlet, deciding to stop for coffee. You set up the camera when you were parked in front of the coffee shop.

"Okay so we’re getting coffee now, and we’re gonna see who has to go in and get the coffee." You said to the camera before turning to Katie. "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" You said at the same time. Katie won and you groaned as she celebrated.

"I dont like you." You told Katie as you opened the car door and walked into the shop. Katie filmed you walking into the shop. "She’s so hot. And she loves me very much don’t be fooled." Katie told the camera, flipping it back to show her face.

You ordered two coffees, a shaken oat milk espresso for you and a matcha for Katie. You started walking towards the door, seeing Katie filming you through the clear doors of the car. You walked towards the door and pushed it with your hip.

It was a pull door.

You spilled your coffee all over yourself, and you look up to see Katie barking with laughter as she films you. You groan loudly and walk out of the shop, your outfit soaked with coffee. Katie sits in the car, laughing her head off at you. You open the door of the car and sit in the seat. "I’m-im suprised you didn’t try to push the car door!" She giggled.

You tried to look at her sternly, but you ended up laughing too. Katie turned off the camera and you handed her her coffee. She leaned in to kiss you, wiping the coffee off your neck. "I love you." She told you as she pulled away.

You groaned as a response.

"What do I do? Im soaked." You said, looking down at your wet shirt and pants. "Well, lucky for you, after having dated you for a year, I know how to prepare for all your little quirks." Katie said, reaching into the backseat. "What does that even mean?" You asked her, watching her suspiciously. "It means…" Katie started, finally grabbing what she was looking for. She pulled out a bag of clothes from the back. "I change it for every season. Right now. We’ve got… a mid length white tee shirt, a brown crewneck and jean shorts. I know this is a boring outfit and not to your standard so I threw in these random sunglasses." Katie said, pulling out your favorite Y2K sunglasses with silver stars on the side. "Katie! I love you and thank you for this but… i’ve been looking for those shades for like three months." You giggled, taking them from her and putting them on you. You fixed your hair and looked at her. "How do I look?" You asked. "Amazing. Let me take a picture." Katie said, pulling out her phone. "Lovely." She said as she took the pic.

"Okay now let’s take the countryside road so we can park on the side and let you change you clumsy girl." Katie said, pulling out of the parking space. "Oh and by the way, when should we do our date? I already have ideas." Katie said.

You just groaned again.

You were now in the backseat of the car, changing quickly when Katie pulled out her phone, taking a picture of you as you buttoned your jean shorts. You flipped her off, and she snapped another picture. Katie filmed you with the go pro as you got out of the backseat and walked back to the front. She had been kind enough to share her matcha with you.

You sat criss cross in the seat as she filmed you. "Time to explain what happened, y/n," the irish woman said in a sing songy voice. "I spilt my coffee and I had to change clothes. Now give me that." You took the camera from your girlfriend and started filming her. "Look how cute she is!" You squeezed her cheeks making her roll her eyes and laugh. You placed the camera on the dashboard. "It’s all a lie! She’s secretly a-" You couldn’t finish your sentence as when you were adjusting your position, you hit your head on the roof of the car. "Fuck!" You groaned, holding your head with one hand and Katie’s matcha with the other. "Okay." Katie said. You looked over at her and gave her a ‘really?' look.

Your next game was against Man United, the field was wet and as you ran by yourself, you slipped and fell on your face. You hit the ground in frustration as you heard laughs from the field. Ona Batlle helped you up. "Don’t worry about it. I know a thing or… twenty about falling on my face on the field." Ona said kindly. You smiled at her and kept playing, knowing your team would give you shit for it later, but not wanting it any other way.

the accounts on here are really turning into what they claim to hate. one of the bigger accounts posted a 5 seconds clip of that pic of timothee and zendaya from the premiere today. and a lot of the other big accounts are pretty much implying harassment. comparing the interaction to real examples of sexual assault. i can’t believe what im seeing. they took the picture nd both moved on to sign more posters in the same second. they are friends. they know their boundaries but also have to move on quickly.

they all want zendaya to hate timothee and be uncomfortable but don’t take in their other interactions even from today. countless videos of them backstage talking and joking together. if zendaya was truly that uncomfortable with him that wouldn’t be happening. they know that which is why they ignore that content. and after almost a month of press and tim and z trying to minimize their interactions the second they do have moments people on here do this and imply real serious allegations? they’re just spreading to their followers one side. and that’s dangerous.

i get they don’t like him. he gives them the ick. he’s not even my fav’ but they’re just as nasty as timdayas they stalk on twitter. i’ve been watching them all slowly get worse each day of this press tour and justify “being childish” together and it’s sad since i liked a lot of them. if they hate him ignore him crop him from pictures just like timdayas. they aren’t talking about the rizz video from zendaya? people here need to do the same and ignore all interactions of timothee and zendaya.

First of all, I feel very UNCOMFORTABLE about ppl implying smthg about sexual assault (even if it's just a "joke") among Z and her male costars. Like what on earth??? 🥴

Like I said yesterday, Timmy is her FRIEND. Y'all need to just get over it and deal with it (not you Anon lol 😂, just the general "you").

Idk why some fans are so uncomfortable with Z getting along with her male costars, but ummm.... you all are literally making it weird when it doesn't have to be at all. 🙄

Second, obviously she gets along just fine with Timmy (and Austin too for that matter), so I don't think she's "uncomfortable" around him or anybody at all! Trust me.....You can tell when ppl don't really care for other ppl like that, and you can tell when they genuinely do! And Z seems to genuinely LIKE her costars. So why are some fans being so weird about it? 🤔

Look, you don't have to like Timmy (or Austin), but to be spreading false LIES and rhetoric out there surrounding her and her male costars is just really vile imo. 😕

What are some of these fans gonna do when she's going to be promoting Challengers next month and her ONLY costars are Mike and Josh on the press tour? 🥴

The sheer craziness of a fandom

I’ve been thinking about the title of this post for this evening for a while. It could as well be, ‘How conspiracies are created while you watch it’ , or ‘How do we shoot the messenger, and make it our own narrative’. Or how to make an elephant out of a mouse! I had a few more...

Let me start with a short summary about last night.

While I was watching the movie ‘JFK’ and had a nice quiet evening, some harmless chatting during the commercial breaks. At around half past 11 (my timezone, which is an hour ahead of UK), I received an Anon. Telling me about a new fan pic (nice), which was posted on FB (easy to find), in the comments of that post a location was mentioned, a hotel in Glasgow. The Anon did research a little more, and found a picture of a random person on IG, found by searching on the location tag of the restaurant. The picture showing SH in the background. I checked it all, and it was all found easily with the details the Anon gave me. I decided to blur the location and the IG account name, as like everyone knows here, I did had bad experience with it. Knowing the fandom how they ruthlessly bother strangers on sm in their hunt for more....

So I just posted the fan pic, my only comment being thanks to the Anon and ‘interesting’. And I posted the background part of the IG picture he appeared in, cropping out the guy on the left that was the subject, but as a non public person didn’t want to put his face up here. Nothing else was cropped out. Of course, discussion is followed, the picture is analyzed a bit, someone with a furry coat, a shopping bag, champagne bottles in a cooler. Glasses on the table. Not me, but other analyzing the pic and try to make any sense of it. I wont say I didn’t, because yes of course I receive Anons asking me questions. Is it the same furry coat KE wore in her plane picture with the tennis player. (No) is he with a date or with who can he be? I don’t know is my answer, as I can not make more out of a picture than it is. I see the champagne bottles yes, so indicates he’s on a date. I see he’s not all dressed up, and dare I say looks messy actually, so that doesn’t really indicate he did some efforts for a date to look nice... but can I say something for sure? No I can’t.

I can see as much in that pic as everyone else. I just don’t make up the mind blowing narratives and didn’t over-analyze every detail and pixel of the random pic where he appears in the background. I simply posted them as they are. But 24 hours later.... I can tell you this:

# Receiving Accusations

Already after posting just the picture, I start receiving accusations of Anons, telling me it’s all my fault, I stir the pot, I’m hateful, I try to make up things, try to make people believe things etc. etc. I don’t know, I didn’t even bother to actually read that BS. FFS all I did was posting 2 pics. People having an opinion about what is there to see in that pic is all on themselves and not on me. I do not make them look at things. I simply post the pic and nothing else. What is so hateful about posting a fan pic? Multiple accounts do the same. What is hateful, or making people believe something about finding a picture where he is in the background? Was it hard to find? Not at all, just a simple location check on IG, et voila, he was on the first pic there, and totally clear it was him. And the hotel restaurant is a known place to be.

# Analyzing pictures

Did I put arrows or circles on the pictures? Did I tell anybody look over here not over there? Did I say it was this or that woman that must be with him on a date? Did I blow up the pic to look for reflections in a mirror? All of the above I’ve been accused of in the past. I don’t know, but today after 24 hours, I see exactly these kind of things appear on blogs of bloggers that accused me of these things. Not on mine! Did you see any of these 2 pics on my blog with an arrow? Or circle. Did I tell you how many glasses there are on the table? Or in what direction he is looking, across the table or not? Any of this?

# Cropping the picture

Yes, I did crop the picture where he appears in the background. but on the left, where the guy who posted it was. not the right part where the company S was with, was seated. Yet, I see all kind of accusations at my account, another pic where it is cropped of. I am the one trying to hide something. It isn’t, it is plain and simple a picture of a random guy that coincidentally had S in the background. Didn’t even realize it and had no eye for him nor his company. Why would they crop it off is beyond me. It is pure conspiracy thinking that makes anybody think so. And no, not a PR or anybody of S’s team dropping things in my inbox. Simply a fan pic, at a location, that can be searched on IG (or any socials) and a random pic with S in the background, not even vague or hard to recognize. that is all there is to it.

# We Anti’s are afraid of....

Gosh, this is the most hilarious I read on other blogs. On the one who promotes a relationship between S and KE as well as on the Shipperville Gazette! According to them, we must be afraid they’re right, and we’re all wrong. Oh gosh, I swear, the nightmares I have about that... I wake up sweating like hell, what if they are right and I am wrong! 🙄 Just go figure... I must convince you of them being wrong! Do I try so? Did I try to convince anybody of something last night, or today? Why am I even called an anti? What exactly am I anti off? Isn’t it just the other way around. Because every time I post something it seems all sides start to get busy creating the narratives around it to make sure a) It is how they explain things and make sure you look at it that way, b) They all of the sudden have sources that can tell them all the insides. c) create chaos and send anons around to make people doubt you. d) create conspiracy theories e) make sure to prove that where it comes from can not be trusted

# I can not be trusted

Yes, the biggest conspiracy theory that appears on all kind of pictures or posts of pictures that it must be ‘dropped’ into inboxes of someone somehow by somebody. Or worse, that account is someone paid by his team to post this or that. I’ve seen it so many times. It happened in the past, and it is happening to me now. I’ve seen posts and comments on other blogs about me saying, I suddenly came out of nowhere (no I didn’t, I live on this earth for quite some time) and now I am all of the sudden the authority here. (oh here, wait yes, I came here 3 years ago, lurking around for quite some time, never heard of Tumblr but as I read on Twitter to not go here, I did. I always do things when people claim to not do them.. well almost always. Oh and I have a brain that works). And I can’t be right, as the ones that claim so are here for so many years and they are the ones that are ‘always’ right! So beware, don’t buy what I post is the notification. I seem to be paid by his team (where’s the money? I want it!) Oh no, on the other side, I’m just here to make him look bad! Gosh, it’s beyond me, why they’re so invested in what I post actually in the first place? Why... go figure why!

But yeah, paint me black afterwards, when it doesn’t fit your narrative, Ad Hominem, I’ve posted about that before. If all the explaining and creating of narratives and conspiracy theories isn’t enough to you to convince your followers of your ‘right’ shoot the messenger!

# The Result

And the fine result that is achieved by all of this? The fan on FB that posted her fan pic with S took it down! The guy that posted the picture on IG where S was in the background went private. I think we can all figure out why. Surely people went there to bother them, maybe even leave nasty messages. I took caution, did not post the name of the IG account. Did blur the location. It’s not that i think so nobody can find it, but at least you have to do some efforts for it. Still people need to post it in full (not me) and thus the crazies go there and bother these people, regardless of what these people now must think. Never again post a pic with him, destroying their joy about the pic they posted. The fan, proud of meeting him, and the guy posting a simple celebration picture of him and his partner having a diner at a fancy hotel. What will be their thoughts on this fandom! I think we can all imagine!

And for what exactly? For 2 simple pictures that show a fan with him at a hotel, and that shows a guy that had him in the background at the same date he was there. And nothing else that can be made out of it then that S was in Glasgow at a restaurant with somebody drinking champagne on Saturday 26 of November! Now who is creating the fuzz here exactly?!

He got his name legally changed to the dumbest thing possible-

His age was actually a debate in the fandom during the early days, but that dwindled down greatly once a video of him was taken, drunk as all hell, yelling “I’M TWENTY-FUCKING-NINE YEARS OF OLD AND GODDAMN PROUD OF IT!” to a bartender asking for age identification. He’s 31 now. (By now, I mean like…10ish years ago, when the show was out)

5’4, short guy. Especially when compared to his band members. During shows, he started to wear heeled boots that make him 5’8. Still wears normal shoes most days, though. And still gets shit from the other guys for it.

Only 120 lbs. He’s generally pretty scrawny, although his biceps are nicely toned from years of going ham on the drums. Also has a bit of a beer gut, just a little squishy.

FtM, has been on T for a while and has gotten top surgery done. More headcanons regarding his gender journey later!

Let’s talk about his hair for a while-

No one in his family knows why his hair is…that color. Like, they have the ginger gene on his mom’s side. His mom and brother both have nice, brownish-red hair. But he came out with a head full of neON ORANGE HAIR.

It’s very thick and frizzy. When it is in it’s natural state, its a pretty much a lion’s mane. Many people thought he looked like that on purpose during his Snakes ‘N Barrels days to fit in with the ‘glam rock’ fashion. But actually, he started playing glam rock because his hair looks like that.

As for facial hair, he’s very proud of it. It took a long time to grow out properly, so he takes really good care when maintaining it. (Ignore the fact that it’s a different color in the pic. That was my mistake.)

Cannot say the same for his skin. It’s very dry and sort of…leathery? He spends lots of time outside with absolutely no sunscreen, so my man has been BAKED (in more than one way ;))

Also from this, he’s very tan and freckled. It’s cute.

He has a tiny little button nose. Sometimes, he even twitches it like a rabbit. Literally so precious.

His lips are dry and cracked from years and years of smoking various substances. He prays to gods of burt’s bees chapstick.

Also, canon to the show, but he has a very goofy, crooked smile!

Doesn’t take that good of care for his dreadlocks. He spent so much of his life fussing over his hair, he’s honestly sick of it. He only goes to get them redone when they start to seriously stink.

To contrast Skwisgaar; I will say, he has the fattest ass in the band. Murderface is a close second. That is all.

He loves his piercings. Got his ears done when he was a teenager to piss off his parents, did his eyebrows later on. It’s seriously his favorite thing about himself, physically speaking.

He has all sorts of clothes, many of which he altered himself. From his muscle-tees, baggy jeans, leather pants, crop-tops, even a few skirts. He sticks to the same basic getup, but will shock both bandmates and fans occasionally by bringing out some seriously fabulous outfits.

In universe, there are several online accounts completely dedicated to him wearing feminine clothing. He single-handily brought back cheetah-print leggings.

He’s very talented at eye makeup. Doesn’t do it so much nowadays, but still enjoys a little bit of glittery eyeshadow. As a treat.

Call me weird, but I think I’m gonna include a…smell headcanon in all of these. Whatever.

Usually, he’ll smell like alcohol and weed. Sometimes vomit or piss as well. It’s the truth, hun.

But let’s not fool ourselves; he has a collection of very old, very fruity perfumes that he sprays on himself occasionally when he doesn’t feel like showering. Which is often. So he smells like whiskey, piss, and “cherry kiss dream”

Conclusion; he’s one of the few people on Earth who could acceptably wear low-rise jeans. He deserves it.

The Book of Love

The Book of Love by Kelly Link

all i knew going into this book was that i adore Kelly Link's work, particularly for its absorbing quality. her stories are dreamlike, and stay with me in the same way the memory of a dream does--everything in the memory seems both impossible and completely sensible and correct. this book really captures that same feeling! surreal, a little creepy and a little funny, intriguing, and written in what I think of as Link's typical style: a sort of syncopated rhythm of straightforward sentences in surprising patterns, straightforward words in surprising combinations, and little gems of imagery that pop out sparkling. there's a cyclical fairy tale quality to her work that appears here also, a real sense that these events have happened before and will happen again and i should be paying attention in case i'm involved next time.

and it IS a book about love as the title proclaims, but messy, muddy, difficult love. love in this book is smashed guitars and ill-fated gifts and spontaneous hookup choices and centuries-old vengeance, about embracing power or resisting it and how it changes you either way, about working around obstacles (there are so many obstacles). as Schmendrick says, there are no happy endings, because nothing ends.

it is a LOOOOONG book though. there was never a time when i wasn't eager to read more or wasn't enjoying the experience, but my personal preference is for things to be a little bit tighter. it's a sensation a bit like old movie musicals that have a ballet or some other extended wordless dance sequence in the middle--it's very beautiful to watch, it has that lovely dreamy quality, and it's related to what's happening in the plot but it's not necessary to what's happening in the plot. there are parts of this book that felt like watching the ballet Kelly Link's beautiful writing unfold--i would never fast forward through it, because it's beautiful, but i woudn't miss it if it wasn't there.

that said, i really loved this book--it was surprising, it was intriguing, it felt deeply archetypical and at the same time delightfully specific and real. the four main characters' voices and perspectives were so distinct, as was each new voice that cropped up to take over a piece of the story--a whole ensemble of imperfect people making imperfect choices and loving imperfectly.

the deets

how i read it: an e-galley from NetGalley! and i gotta say, i'm pretty excited to see this chonker in person! that red color on the cover is gonna look so nice on a thick spine. i'll definitely be buying this one when it's out.

try this if you: dig lyrical prose and stories that feel like mythology, enjoy memory fuckery, inevitably root for star-crossed weird ancient beings to finally be together, or were ever in a band in high school.

some bits i really liked: hard to pic faves in a book this long!

A girl wakes up in her sister's bed. "Laura?" she says. No one answers. Oh, she shouldn't be here. The one who should be here isn't. The girl's name is Susannah. She is too tall, lamentably tall, and she has bad dreams. Shouldn't her dreams be comforting? Restorative? Shouldn't she see the ones she longs with all her heart to see? But in dreams, too, they are inexplicably missing.

Like Mo, Mr. Anabin was brown in the way that made white people feel they should ask you where you were really from. Although at the moment Mo really did want to know where Mr. Anabin was from, because surely there weren't a lot of people living in Lovesend who could raise the dead. Right? Mr. Anabin: supernaturally ambiguous. Maybe Mo would ask. Or maybe he wouldn't. Mo: smarter than a lot of white people.

Kids brought their notebooks, because there were no plugs for laptops, and wrote poetry or Korrasami AU fan fiction or very sad and secret thoughts in their most beautiful penmanship.
