Written for @hurricane105 for @zelinkcommunity loftwing letters24! Happy V-day, hurricane! I hope you like this post-BotW slice of Hateno life Zelink story. Have a fantastic day☺️
Sowing Seeds of Love
Summary: It's an annual tradition in Hateno for women to offer gifts of appreciation to those they care about on Sowing Day. Little does Zelda know that the gift she gives Link expresses more than platonic affection. Will she realize that perhaps he means more to her than she has dared to realize?
1.6k Read below or on AO3
The pouch slung over Zelda’s shoulders shifted with each step, bouncing against her hip as she walked through Hateno village. Periodically, she couldn’t help but reach inside to ensure the small, white box tied with a satin blue ribbon was safely tucked away. It was a Sowing Day gift for Link she’d chosen at the East Wind on her way home. The store’s merchant, Pruce, had assured her that it was a traditional Hateno custom for women to give appreciation gifts on Sowing Day.
She’d picked a sand seal plushie for Purah and a potted tomato plant for Symin to give tomorrow when she saw them. Zelda’s heart fluttered with memories of Urbosa as she thought of the gift she’d chosen for Link: three rich chocolate truffles imported from Gerudo. They were a delicacy Zelda had always enjoyed, and she hoped they would also bring joy to Link.
Crossing the bridge to the home she shared with him, Zelda could hear the faint sound of him tending to their small garden at the side of the house.
“I’m home!” Zelda called as she headed inside.
Pushing the front door open, the sweet, honeyed fragrance of apple blossoms permeated the air. A vase, filled with the blooms Link must have pruned that day, sat in the center of the already set table. Zelda pulled the box out of the bag and placed it in the middle of Link’s bowl before making their dinner. In the past year, Link had taught her some basic cooking skills since, pre-Calamity, Zelda had never had to cook. She hummed happily, feeling lighter than she had in ages as she peeled and chopped a swift carrot and hearty radish to add to the stewed meat she’d left to simmer all day over the fire in the hearth.
By the time Link came in from outside, the stew was ready. Zelda placed it, sliced bread, and rice on the table while Link washed up. She took her seat and waited expectantly for him to join her.
“It smells good, Princess.” His mouth curled into a bemused smile when he saw the package in his bowl. “What’s this?”
“A Sowing Day present for you.” Zelda sat forward in her seat, returning his smile. “Open it.”
Reaching for the end of the ribbon, Link untied the bow and lifted the lid on the box. Zelda’s stomach roiled anxiously as his expression changed from delight to shock to confusion. His brow furrowed, and he blinked several times, clearly processing the unexpected gift of truffles nestled within the waxed parchment. This was not the reaction she’d expected.
Feeling self-conscious, Zelda stumbled over an explanation. “Urbosa always brought these for me when she visited. They’re my favorite. Don’t you like them?”
Link’s expression softened, and he gave her a shy smile. “I do. They’re my favorites, too.”
Despite his smile, Zelda couldn’t help but feel she’d somehow upset or disappointed him. “Did I do something wrong?”
Link shook his head slightly and cleared his throat, a hopeful glint in his blue eyes when he looked at her. “Do you know what it means to give chocolates on Sowing Day?”
“Pruce said women gave gifts to show their appreciation. I bought Purah a plushie and Symin a plant. With your sweet tooth, I thought you’d like Gerudo chocolates.” Frowning, Zelda pulled her brows together when Link’s smile faltered, and the brief light in his eyes faded.
“Ah, I see.” Link nodded politely. “Thank you, Princess. We can enjoy them after dinner.”
He set the box aside and spooned rice and the creamy meat soup into their bowls. Zelda’s cheeks flamed, realizing she’d missed something significant regarding her gift, but she was too embarrassed to press Link further. They spent the remainder of the meal discussing how they’d spent their day. After cleaning up, Link declared he was tired from working in the garden all day and departed to the room he’d fashioned for himself in the lean-to behind the house. Zelda spent the night sleeping fitfully, wondering if she’d misinterpreted Link’s response to her gift.
The following day, Zelda rose, intending to ask Link again if he was all right, but found a hastily scrawled note on the kitchen table that he’d gone hunting and would be back later that evening. Sighing, she gathered her satchel and headed to the Ancient Tech Lab. Along the way, she greeted her fellow villagers with a friendly wave and nod. Once past the village proper, Zelda fretted over Link’s odd behavior as she trudged up the winding path, and the rising sun warmed the top of her head.
The clang of a hammer rang in the air before the building came into sight. Cresting the hill, Zelda saw through the open front door ten-year-old Purah standing at her lab table, fully absorbed in pounding a rectangular piece of metal. Spare circuits and wiring were spread over the surface, that wasn’t already covered with pages of schematics. As usual, Symin cataloged his specimens at the back of the room.
“Good morning, Purah and Symin.” Zelda smiled, pulling out the gifts she’d brought them. “Happy belated Sowing Day!”
Purah’s eyes lit up when she spied the sand seal. “Check it!” Grabbing the stuffed animal from Zelda, she ripped it at the seams and pulled out the stuffing. “I love it, Princess! This is just what I needed for my next project!”
“Ah, Princess Zelda, you shouldn’t have.” Symin’s cheeks pinked when he accepted the tomato plant.
“It’s the least I could do for all you two have done for me over the past year.” Their reactions were exactly how she’d hoped Link would have responded yesterday. Biting her lip, Zelda pulled her research journal and the Sheikah Slate out of her bag before stowing it beneath the lab table.
Ever observant, Purah instantly pounced on Zelda’s melancholy. “Is something on your mind this morning, Princess?”
Zelda shook her head as she laid the items on the table. “Oh, I was just thinking about Link. I gave him chocolates for Sowing Day, and he acted strangely.”
“Oh, snap!” Purah pushed her red glasses down her nose and leaned in, peering owlishly at Zelda. “You did what?!”
Taken aback by Purah’s reaction, Zelda flushed. “I gave him chocolates, as a gift, but he was… confused.”
“I bet he was!” Purah's snicker fueled Zelda’s blush. “Giving chocolates on Sowing Day is a romantic gesture!”
“It’s true!” Symin chimed in from his corner, cheeks reddening in sympathy to Zelda’s sudden plight.
“Romantic? I didn’t know that…” Zelda’s mind reeled as she processed this disturbing information. She’d grown to admire Link, but the thought of romantic love had never crossed her mind until now. Recalling the hopeful gleam in Link’s bright blue eyes, Zelda’s heart skipped a beat, and butterflies erupted in her belly. Had she confused platonic love for true love?
“Looks like our princess unintentionally confessed her love!” Purah gleefully clapped her hands and grinned mischievously, tearing Zelda from her reverie.
Zelda’s cheeks flamed further, and her breath hitched in her chest. “Purah, please! I don’t even know if he feels the same!”
Emitting a most unladylike snort, Purah’s grin widened. “I’ve seen the way he looks at you. Right, Symin?”
“It’s clear he’s smitten,” Symin agreed.
“What am I supposed to do now?” Zelda didn’t know how to face Link when he arrived home that evening. Just thinking about seeing him again suddenly made her heart race with nervous anticipation.
Purah tapped her finger against her lips, contemplating the question. After a moment, her eyes brightened, and she waved her pointer finger flamboyantly in the air. “Actions speak louder than words. I say, lay one on him.”
Zelda gasped, shocked by Purah’s proclamation. “Are you suggesting I kiss him?!”
Purah shrugged. “Why not? Link may be courageous, but he’ll never make the first move. It’s up to you.”
As it was, Zelda could hardly focus on her research for the remainder of the day as visions of what kissing Link would be like consumed her. Finally, she gave up making any progress and headed home. However, as she was passing East Wind, an idea came to her, and she took a detour to purchase a few cooking supplies. The knowing smile Pruce gave her as he wrapped up the goods made her cheeks burn. It seemed an affliction she couldn’t shake today.
At home, Zelda prepared her recipe in the cooking pot outside their house, and sat by the fire occasionally tasting and idly stirring the contents.
When Link arrived a while later, he paused a few feet from Zelda. Dropping the boar slung over his shoulder, his nostrils flared, sniffing the rich scent filling the air. “That’s… a lot of chocolate.”
Zelda lifted her head to meet his steady gaze. “It’s a fraction of how much I think I may be in love with you.”
If the confection she’d made weren’t already tempered, Link's bright smile would have done the trick. Standing to close the distance between them, the taste of chocolate was still on her lips when Zelda kissed him.
End Cut Scene:
After Zelda left, Purah turned to Symin, a mischievous glint back in her ruby eyes. “If things turn out how I suspect they will, I can’t wait to see what Link gives the Princess on Harvest Day!”
Her expression turned thoughtful as she eyed Symin. “Speaking of, what are you getting me for Harvest Day, Symin?”
Purah cackled delightedly at the crimson flush coloring Symin’s cheeks that perfectly matched the setting sun.
Author’s note: I loosely based the Sowing Day/Harvest Day Hateno tradition on the Japanese Valentine’s Day/White Day tradition.

Y'know, despite the flaws that TotK has (*cough cough* story *cough*) what I appreciated most about this game is all the little details that the developers put in (mainly through the use of side quests).
i think the major difference between TotK and BotW and what TotK arguably did better than BotW is that TotK's side quests are so much better. Unlike BotW's side quests, which you can get done relatively quickly depending how many shrines/items you have in your inventory, TotK makes you work for your sidequests.
Take, for instance, the new side adventures. Penn's quests, the whole thing with the monster control group, etc etc. Basically, go to [this] area in Hyrule and do [this]. May sound simple enough, but they can be super challenging, especially if you unlock these quests early in-game (which is entirely possible). The monster control group adventure you can unlock basically as soon as you get off the Great Sky Island, while Penn's adventure you can unlock as soon as you try to get to Rito Village. In fact, it's sort of hinted at to complete Penn's adventure first before even doing all of the rest of the main quest so that you would have an easier access to Rito Village (which, admittedly, I did not do because I was that impatient lol).
Even some of the smaller adventures were a leg up from BotW. The one that sticks out to me the most were the ones in Gerudo Desert, which I want to geek about for a moment because this game absolutely made me love the desert. In BotW, it was sort of an empty place (which was totally fine; it wasn't a large focus other than the Divine Beast), but TotK just made it 100x cooler. The archeologist wannabe in me fell heads over heels with the desert in this game, with the inclusion of the quicksand and the ruins underneath the game (which I am like: YES JUICY JUICY LORE).
Anyways, back to my point on the quests: there is a quest in Gerudo Town where you have to find out the mystery of the eighth heroine, and I don't want to spoil anything here but if you haven't finished this quest already DO SO because OH MY GOODNESS ADFSJAKFJLDFJLDAKFJD. And when you're done with that, go to the statue itself and find out the area there. This entire quest (and that little side mystery along with it) made me feel like I was in an Indiana Jones movie and I was LIVING for it. If I could replay TotK again without my memory I would want to replay that part again.
Oh, that's another thing: I mentioned that the statue of the eighth heroine was not actually a quest. There are also a lot more hidden secrets to find in this game than in the predecessor, mainly with the inclusion of caves and dungeons (different from the temples). I call these little areas "dungeons" but they're more like the mini dungeons that you go through in Ocarina of Time (like the frozen area in Zora's Domain or the bottom of the well in Kakariko), because that was what they felt like, and I never felt happier.
Also, quick little details I want to add because I realize this is more of an unhinged ramble than a coherent well-put thing, but some other minor details I liked is the deep-dive into the Gerudo language. Learning languages has always made me happy, and now that we got a few more words in Gerudic (pretty sure that that's what the language of the gerudo is called?) we can probably piece together what the full language sounds like; probably relying a lot on s's and v's along with the "a" "e" and "o" vowels with r's rolled in between.
Also also while exploring the one area there is a callback to A Link to the Past dungeons where there is a secret room where you would find three fairies tucked away. I think I found this room in a couple of cave systems so keep a lookout for that :)

AO3 Twenty Questions
I was tagged by @dirty-bosmer Tagging @lillxart @gwilin-stay-winnin @skyrim-forever and @thequeenofthewinter (even though I know she's already done this!)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
18
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
416,292
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, only Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, although I have written a few Breath of the Wild fics (one one-shot, one short 8-chapter story, and two long fics that are unfinished). Once upon a time in junior high and high school, my friends and I wrote each other stories about Duran Duran and Def Leppard, but those are on paper and too old for anyone to care these days!
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
You know, I hadn’t really looked in a long time, so I’m surprised/not surprised to find that mostly my LoZ fics are the highest in kudos (they’ve been there longest).
Dalliances with Dunmer (86)
Link the Anachronism (55)
Larissa’s Tale: Before the Hero (46) – this pleases me; my first story with an OC and a lot of research
Khajiit: Stranger in a Strange Land (45)
Starting Over: A New Woman in a New Hyrule (38)
5. Do you respond to comments?
Absolutely! While I write for myself and have to remind myself of this daily, it’s always nice to know that someone else has seen and enjoyed my labors of love. Readers who comment are rare and precious. And at least 2 of them have become actual friends!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Dalliances with Dunmer – but that wasn’t the end of the story, just the ending of the 2nd book in the story.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
What Might Have Been – because it was MEANT to be an alternate ending to the angsty one.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not usually. When I first started putting DwD on AO3 and fanfiction, one person called it dogshit and another person went on a mean, scandalized rant about Miranja’s “fatherless behavior.” But a dear friend told me, if there’s no controversy, you’re not doing it right, and I left the flame in the comments for that purpose!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Smut/romance/erotica – various levels depending on the mood and the characters’ relationship. There’s been everything from cuddly fluff to heart-pounding romance to jizz-in-your-pants or call-the-priest filth.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I can’t answer that definitively. I started a crossover (Khajiit) between BotW and Skyrim (a friend used Skyrim to wean me off of BotW, and now I live here forever), but I haven’t even gotten to the crossover part and now it’s been 2 years since I played BotW, so we’ll see where that goes.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of. I can’t imagine why anyone would, unless they were training an AI!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yes, just a silly little back-and-forth scenario with my OC and a friend’s OC. It’s not on AO3, but I’m hoping it will be soon!
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
Of my own, or anyone’s anywhere? Mine, of course, would be Miranja and Talvas. Elsewhere… I like to ship Kvothe and Devi in The Name of the Wind – if for nothing else but the hate sex!
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I want to finish all of them except the Link and Zelda stories, since those are moot points by now.
16. What are your writing strengths?
From others’ reviews, I’d say characterization and description. I like to get inside the characters’ minds and hearts, think up back stories for them that might have made them the way they are, make their interactions with other characters as genuine as I can. When describing a scene, I almost focus more on the sensations than the actual physical presence of, or situation of, things. What is the character seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, or tasting, and how does it make them feel? The feelings are what you remember, not the details. (Unless you’re Sherlock Holmes.)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Second-guessing myself. If someone says the story’s moving too slowly, I pick up the pace and skip the less important stuff that was kind of important to me. Then someone says I’m rushing the story, so I rewrite it and flesh it out the way I wanted it to begin with. Like, I BELIEVE I’m pretty good at re-reading and assessing the pace, but then I let someone else tell me I’m doing it wrong. Also, allowing things to distract me and keep me from writing until I don’t even remember where I was at.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
If it’s relevant to the plot, then of course! Otherwise, if it’s just idle chatter, that feels like extraneous flaunting on the author’s part. Look what I can do! Haha!
19. First fandom you wrote for?
As many things as I’ve been a fan of, I’ve never thought of writing my own fiction about them until I beat Breath of the Wild. Because I wanted so badly to know how they would turn the kingdom back around, I decided to write my own continuation.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Larissa’s Tale or Hrefna’s Crush. Shorter stories, but special to me in different ways. Larissa was kind of a self-insert character but better-looking, who got her hands and other body parts on Link before Zelda did. Hrefna’s Crush was sort of a birds-and-bees and starting to have crushes story, where Sondas Drenim is the object of her crush, and Miranja is the competition she loves but envies.

The Snail From the New Update!!!!!!!!!!!
🌹 for you!
I love the Legend of Zelda and Linked Universe! Also I don't dislike any of the Links, and Legend is pretty much tied for favorite with Time for me. Really just depends on my mood or something (or how recently I've played one of their games).
Consider the following: Golden Sword FI
Froggie
i wanna see shadow in the comic so fucking badly jojo please 😭
One time I was playing the og Loz and I couldn't find the second dungeon to go to but I managed to find the second last dungeon or something by running past a horde of lynels and I managed to bs my way through half of it until I got stuck in a room with an enemy I had to kill to leave but wasn't able to kill with my lack of tools and it couldn't kill me so I had to restart the whole game and I haven't played since. Also if you attack a cucco in Twilight Princess, it doesn't attack you; instead you become the cucco for a few seconds and can flap around and scream
Do u like Mac and cheese
yeah twilight princess is my favourite game and i haven’t played it but in my defence i’m a goth
the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon DX remake of the song "Sky Tower" bangs and you should check it out (if you want)
Four is all but canonically the spirit of the Four Sword, and there's so much evidence for it in his games and even his personality in LU, but I feel like this is underrepresented in people's headcanons because people don't know as much about Four.
i hope youre having a good day <33 -@soul-of-rei
Fun Fact: The “Ballad Of The Windfish” from Link’s Awakening is in the melody of the Hyrule Castle main theme (outdoors) for some reason snd I noticed it like yesterday and I can’t tell if they did this with consideration for lore or if they just used it because the Ballad Of The Windfish only shows up in one game and is therefore a less well known and less likely to be noticed detail so they reused the song to not have to make a new song. On the other hand, TP and SS were two other games remastered for Switch and beyond simple convenience both games have a lot of interesting details that show up in and add to botws lore so maybe Link’s Awakening has significance to botw or botw 2 too and no one noticed hrmmmmm sorry this became an unintended theory ramble
Why does ganon hate the internet? There are too many links hehehehe
Tell your followers they're amazing!!! - Nayra
I really like linked universe. There’s so much room for creativity in the fandom. I love to see all the different interpretations of Link! :)
Vultures throw up when they feel threatened
We got a new kitten, his name is Maui, and he likes head boops. This has nothing to do with LU but I thought it was important.
the ocean is soup. this is an undeniable fact.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
This section I like to call "gushing over the various Links"
i don't think enough people realize that wind killed a man
I love wind so much he's my little guy I wanna pay for his college tuition
Wind deserves much more attention in the fandom he's my little pirate dude
Shout out to my boy Hyrule for being so cute
#BringSkyBackFromTheGasStation
Wind is best boy
Wolfie is best boy
Wild is my comfort for my mental health. I guess I project?
Grandaddy Wolfie >>>>
The fact I could only choose one favourite hurt, I was here for like 3 minutes deciding who to pick between Sky and Warrior's :'D
spent a solid 10 minutes trying to decide who i could say was my least favourite link because i love them all so much
And I'm not pasting the whole thing in here, but let it be known that the entire bee movie script, the wikipedia page for the chair, and the fitness gram pacer test were submitted

Hello! After reading your blog, I actually played Genshin for the first time! xD I didnt play for very long-I got to Liyue and then stopped after fetch-questing with Zhongli (and my laptop started to feel super hot while playing). Gameplay wise, its ok but working around skill cooldowns can be v frustrating. Narrative wise, Mondstadt was a pretty decent prologue! However I felt very disconnected with Liyue ngl. Running away from a crime scene and then listening to an enemy(Child) and then talking to some animal gods?? I straight up thought Paimon was going to frame mc for crime 💀 Zhongli’s actual personality was a shock but that was my fault since I thought he would be a softer less tyrant Gilgamesh 🙈 Getting through all of the dialogue was the biggest slog ever, the world exploration is nice but lvling up adventure rank was v time consuming. I think I’m probably biased towards BOTW but man, I felt more engaged in BOTW’s world and narrative then I do with Genshin ngl 😅
Hi anon! I definitely feel you on all of that… I kinda feel like Genshin is one of those games you play, but don't recommend to others… I hope you enjoyed the good parts, at least! Or, uh, sorry you went through that?
God, I just. I remember enjoying Mondstadt, but kind of filing it away as "it'll get stronger later, it's the first chapter" and then while playing Liyue just spending so long grinding between AR ranks that I completely forgot what happened between chapters? And being absolutely baffled when I re-read it together all at once. Why do we care about Rex Lapis' corpse…? I seriously thought Childe was using us to orchestrate an Adepti/Qixing war in the first half. I think I passed through the entire Liyue chapter wondering when the characters were going to get interesting, because I remember watching people get Very Excited about Ganyu and Xiao's characters off the Liyue chapter alone and thinking "………………..really?"
Playing liyue chapter like "ok this will make sense after the AR gate" and then just completely forgetting what happened before the AR gate because I spent a week clearing the map vibes. Ugh.
No AR gate now, Genshin. No slipping anything past me.
But interesting you should mention BOTW, because when I play big openworld games if I go long periods of time without plot where I just end up exploring for ages I tend to zone out and only half pay attention to what's happening - which absolutely happened in Liyue the first time around, and BOTW. As someone that wasn't as emotionally invested in BOTW but enjoyed exploring the map most of all, I definitely think it's a much better game than Genshin. It's a lot simpler in many aspects and all the stronger for it. Genshin… just has so much fat… levelling characters, waiting for resin, excess dialogue, AR ranks blocking off chapters…. I'm really looking forward to BOTW 2, uh, whenever that drops!
We should all return to the only gacha that matters: smashing geodes and hoping there's precious stones within.
ghh zhongliiii he's definitely supposed to be some wise kind enlightened type but i just think mhy don't REALISE when he does something morally dubious? at least nasu knows when gil is being a little bitch

The first couple of weeks following the incident that had taken my long-lost mother from me was misery in its purest form. Link and I didn’t speak, not even by phone, during that whole stretch of time. In fact, I could rarely bring myself to answer the phone at all. The memory was still too vivid, the wounds still too fresh.
He’d gotten off scot-free in the end as he’d been deemed to have acted in the defence of others—namely, of me. It wasn’t long before I learned of his plea, that if I hadn’t come along quietly, I would have suffered the same fate that he’d brought upon her, and they had believed him. How I felt about this was still something I was struggling to wrap my endlessly pounding head around.
As dark and deep as this seemingly bottomless pit of despair that I’d found myself plummeting down was, however, someone did eventually toss a rope down for me. The time I spent apart from Link gave me the opportunity to properly reconcile with those whom I myself had wronged: Auntie Purah and Paya. The former and I found comfort in our mutual grieving, and even as Paya had never really known my mother well enough to mourn her loss (though, arguably, it seemed no one had ever truly known her), she was more gracious and understanding than I or anyone else would have been, which only made me regret even more deeply my past transgressions toward her.
One day, during one of our continual conversations, she shifted to the topic of the Yiga leader’s executioner. How she could even think of him at a time like this was beyond me, but I digressed. I told her everything from start to finish. It was the first time I’d allowed myself to talk to anyone about it at length. As I spoke, she listened calmly and carefully. Despite what I’d have liked to believe, she had always been the more levelheaded one out of the two of us, save for when it came to discussing things about herself.
By the time I finished, I’d begun bouncing my still healing ankle back and forth, which I’d crossed over my other leg to keep it from touching the ground. I didn’t stop even after I noticed what I was doing.
“It’s painfully clear to see how conflicted you are about all this.” Coming to sit beside me on the sofa in the Sheikahs’ sitting room, Paya placed an affectionate palm on my thigh, bringing its restless jittering to a halt. “I understand how hard this must be for you. But the way I see it, there’s only one question you need ask yourself at the end of the day.”
Whatever she was about to say, it wouldn’t be an easy pill to swallow, would it? I straightened my posture. “And what would that be?”
“Between the two of them, who do you think was the better person?”
She was looking me dead in the eyes, her hand still resting upon my leg. I uncrossed them.
I’d never thought to compare the two before. What reason would I have had to do so? But now that she’d mentioned it, I hadn’t realized how few memories I even had left of my mother, and the ones that remained were blurry and vague beyond any hope of being recovered. If only she hadn’t left me with the Sheikahs all those years ago, maybe I could have remembered more clearly what kind of person she had been.
On the other hand, Link had always been there for me. Even during the times when circumstances had driven us apart, the thought of him was what had kept my flame burning strong and hot throughout each arctic day, and what had protected me from myself, keeping me from doing the irreparable. He had stayed by my side to the bitter end.
No matter how I’d reflected back on that day previously, the sight of his steely, focused stare and the sound of his crazed breaths, short and sharp, had been ever dominant. But now, I recalled the way those eyes had then glazed over with unadulterated horror. How his arms had shivered as they’d clung to my broken form and how they’d continue to cling for what would feel like millennia until the rest of his unit would finally stumble upon the scene.
My stepsister-of-sorts gave my leg a soft squeeze as I looked back at her with a tremor in my lip. “He s...saved me,” I whimpered. “Didn’t he?”
Tumblr media
After a month apart, I made plans with Link for a night out on the pier, where we would celebrate the end of the Organization. The ice cream I’d promised him was at the top of my list of priorities for the evening. Tonight was a dessert-first night anyway, I’d decided. From there, we went and found ourselves a bite to eat at a seafood restaurant within walking distance. I’d hoped eating with him would feel like old times, but he hardly spoke a word throughout the whole meal. I tried lightening the mood with some banter, but this proved ineffective when he brushed off everything I said with mere one or two-word replies.
It wasn’t until I’d gotten us both a bit of something to drink that he finally broke the silence. “Have you...” he started, but lost the confidence to continue.
I perked up at the sound of his voice, wanting to hear more of it. “Have I...?”
“A-Ah...” His fingers poked at the copious amount of chips piled onto his plate next to the practically untouched fillet of fried fish. “I was just wondering if you’ve thought about what you’re going to do now, since...you know...you’re not a detective anymore.”
“Ah, right. That.” I took another sip of my drink, its contents long having fled my memory. “Actually, my auntie talked about it with me and she said she’d consider letting me inherit the company once I’ve acquired the proper education. So to answer your question, I’m thinking about going to school for engineering.”
His brows rose. “Oh! My, that’s—” He cleared his throat. “That’s brilliant. I’m happy for you.”
I thanked him with a hesitant grin, then asked, “How about you? Do you plan to stay on with the force, or...?”
“Ahh, well...” What little there’d been of an upward turn in his lips vanished. “I’m not sure, to tell you the truth. It’s something I’ve been mulling over for a while now. Whether to stay on and honour my father’s work, or...whatever other options are available, I suppose.”
“Do you want to hear what I think?” He raised his head. “I think you should do whatever you think would make you happiest. That’s what you’re father would have wanted, I’m sure.”
This finally, finally, got a real, unsubdued smile out of him. And I intended to milk that smile for all it was worth.
After dinner, I dragged him back down to the arcade on the pier, where I managed to ring a few laughs out of him while we were still a bit tipsy. We steered clear of the toy gun target-type games, favouring other stands like the ring toss where he won me a plush frog that I could only just get my arms all the way around. His aim was spectacular, especially for someone who wasn’t entirely sober. Not only that, but I could never have imagined how sweet and charming he would be like this. For a fleeting moment, it felt as though we’d gone back in time again. That, or the light from the setting sun was playing tricks on me.
But by the end of the evening, he’d reverted back to that quiet, reclusive version of himself that I’d quickly grown to detest. We were out on the docks now, facing the sea. The breeze carried a mist of saltwater within its bows. I breathed it in, soaking up the feeling of it hitting me softly and coolly in the face. A hint of pink in my partner’s cheeks caught my eye, and I wondered whether it was the cocktails or my arms, which were currently wound about his waist from behind.
“Beautiful sunset,” I tried, hoping I could get him to spare me a glance at least. “Isn’t it?” But to no avail. He only continued to gaze westward at the rippling flames reflected in the water. “Hey...” Before I knew what I was doing, my palm had found the warmth of his cheek, and there was hardly an inch or two of distance between the tips of our noses. Without giving myself time to think, I tilted my head, leaned in, and started to close my eyes.
But when I realized he wasn’t doing the same, I halted. On the contrary, he’d been leaning back and away from my advances, his back so rigid and shoulders so stiff it were as though he would sprout wings and bolt were I to make any sudden moves.
“What’s wrong?”
A harsh, jagged exhale. “Zelda, I just can’t—” He grabbed both my wrists and wrenched my arms off of him. “I’m sorry. We can’t do this.” He was bent over the railing, arms folded in on each other. “Not now,” he said, dwindling, “after I’ve gone and...murdered your only family.” A weary chuckle shook him by the shoulders before he raked his hands through his wind-tousled hair.
I fell into quiet thought for a moment. Then, taking a long, thorough breath, I placed a feather-light set of fingertips atop his own. “That woman was never my family.” I’d made up my mind. Figuratively or otherwise, my real mother had moved on a long time ago. And it was time I did the same.
Link must have seen the resolve in my eyes or heard it in my voice, because now he was looking back at me openly, his body turned to face me. Though there was still an air of uncertainty lingering about him as he ran the crease of his cuff between his fingers again and again. But when I brought my arms around him and held him close, he sank into my lips, returning my embrace at long last. A lone pair of tears fell from my eyes the moment they fluttered closed—a culmination of all past ordeals—and as they fell, I couldn’t help but smile.

The gorons finished the statue carved for s/o and tigo, have a huge roasted rocks to eat which tigo enjoyed it while having a wrestling match 1v3 and tigo won easily but having fun, tigo able to carved a perfect great sword next to the statue. After learning from teba about a competition annually for the winner taking care of tigo bow, link and s/o starting helping to organize it for the competition while tigo assist bring the finest wood for wood statue for the ritos. The gerudos for tigo and s/o statue is kinda difficult due of the heat and link can’t help them, the statue have s/o sword and shield and it was beautiful. Beast of Hope, Part 1
[Tigo the Lynel AU V. 2]
BOTW x Reader
~~~~~~~
things had settled after the calamity, and with nothing but the future in your sights, construction for the tigo statues began
the statue in the zora's domain took only a few days, crafting it out of the rock face that surrounded the watery wonderland
tigo had retired for the most part from the front lines, so he donated his zora-crafted spear back to its original home so that it could be included in the statue
you were very humble about everything, not really wanting such a grandiose offering to you and tigo in the first place, but the insistence of the zora made it happen anyways
the statue was a beautiful sparkling blue with the rocks around it, jutting out of the cliff face and watching over the zora for the remainder of time
the spear also made a nice touch standing out from the monochrome rock and shining in the sun
then you went on to the gorons and assisted them with the statue there
this one was made using cooled lava rock so that it was one with the death mountain environment
it's up near the chief's house and out of the way of gorons rolling down the mountain, but grand enough to be gawked at by those passing through
the gorons also held a large feast for the three of you in your honor, giving you the best rock roast you've ever had
the gorons also wanted to have a competition to see if tigo was really as strong as he was fabled to be, so they made up a 1 versus 3 match of groups of gorons against tigo in a show of strength
of course tigo won by a landslide i mean why wouldn't he lmaoo
link enjoyed the rock roast feast and hung out with you where the heat wasn't so bad so that the two of you didn't get flayed alive
then you went to the rito and helped them over the course of a couple days make their tigo statue
it was placed on the central-most island leading up to rito village, and it was made of the finest wood that they chopped down from the surrounding area
tigo helped them to gather the wood and made the process a whole lot easier because he was so strong and could carry so much weight
and his axe skills were off the charts so of course it would go quicker lol
you and link took charge organizing the competition for the younger rito and who got to take care of tigo's famous bow for the next year
all of the young rito were so excited to take part in it, and you even held the first competition in the few days that it took to build the statue
revali was even supportive of the whole thing which was pretty out of character, but he still had the entire flight range and his own landing named after him so the arrogant warrior could only accept so much lol
just for fun, revali competed against link in the competition for the bow, but of course they threw the game and allowed the younger ones to win
though it wasn't just a game for the two of them, that's for sure
link, for the most part, hates the heat of the gerudo desert so he didn't tag along for the gerudo statue
he let tigo mainly take the reigns on that one, but made sure that you were well prepared for the journey out into the wasteland
the gerudo were very accepting and were excited to pay tribute to such a great warrior
tigo donated the sword and shield that he got from them before the calamity so that they could add it to the statue
it was made out of bright sandstone and the jewels from the shield and hilt of the sword complimented it greatly
it was placed in the middle of their square and just a lovely piece of masonry if i do say so myself
the statues took a lot less time than they would have in an alternate timeline if tigo wasn't there, but with his help and you and link's planning, they were done in the nick of time and a great additive to hyrule's historia :)
in his search, he begins to realize just how dangerous the land beyond his own is, and just how right it feels.
∆ STRAY SOULS
when GAIA disappeared off the face of the earth, the world darkened and something evil awoke from it's slumber. the gods, in their fear, chose a champion to protect them from it.
the only problem... each champion they chose is considered a "stray soul". and each champion could rise against even the most powerful of the gods.
Balter: BOTW Robbie x Reader
15. balter - to dance gracelessly, but with enjoyment
(Robbie x Reader)
Part I of ?
It’s day one of being assigned as an assistant to the Chief of Guardian Research, and you don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
“This is a great honour,” your research supervisor—ex-supervisor, said. They smiled at you tearily like a proud parent, fixing the collar of your shirt and patting away the non-existent dirt on your shoulders. Both of you had decided together on an outfit that was functional but boringly business casual, something that screamed ‘This job is serious and I too am seriously serious.’
“Teach,” you say, bending down to look the elderly scholar in the eye. They’ve been frantic the entire morning, packing and repacking your things, double checking your itinerary and quizzing you on random topics for the past five hours (“What is the integral of the absolute sin, x, over the interval 0 to two pi?” “Four, and how is this relevant?”) You try to smile in a way that is both calming and trustworthy. “I’m going to be alright. We’ve gone over all the possibilities together yesterday, everything from A to Z remember?”
Grabbing their cane, they picked up your suitcase, wagging their finger when you reached to take it from their smaller, wrinkly hands. “Yes, yes. But one can never be too careful.” Walking to the exit of the academy, both of you pushed open the double doors, a field of wildflowers greeting you on the other side.
A bright blue sky hung above, cloudless and empty. Your horse was grazing not too far away, ears pricking up at the sound of your approach. Before planting your foot into the stirrup, your supervisor called out your name, prompting you to turn around. Pulling their coat close to them self, they wrapped their short arms around you, enveloping you in a rare hug. “Just, keep your wits about you.”
“Why is that?”
“Doctor Robbie is a little eccentric.”
“Nothing I can’t handle, Teach.” You winked, squeezing them a little tighter. “I’ve worked with you after all.” The air shifts when you spot a cane spinning in the air, the hardwood eventually smacking painfully into your side and making you yelp.
“Stupid child,” the centenarian grins. “I wish you luck and a prosperous future.”
With the Royal Highway in your sights, your thoughts were filled with a whirlwind of excitement at the prospect of working with such a bright mind. Focusing your thesis on the newly excavated Guardian’s design and its sophisticated targeting system had spiraled into a series of meetings with the King’s scientific panel and eventually a position at a lab beyond the imaginations of both you and your Sheikah supervisor.
An hour had sped by and before you knew it, the imposing entrance to the Royal Ancient Tech Lab loomed over you like a giant’s shadow. The secure metal doors were decorated with a pattern of tumultuous swirls and waves, stretching from the edges and across the vast surface like creeping vines on a stone wall. Raising your hand to knock, you were surprised to hear the unmistakable boom of a small explosion on the other side.
Pulling down the handle, the door opened with little resistance, a black cloud of smoke filling your nostrils and making you splutter. “Anyone there?” You called out. Leaving your suitcase at the entrance, you cautiously stepped into the fray, dress shoes squeaking against the floor. Looking around, the first thing you spot are three long stone tables littered with gears and springs of various sizes. The next is the smoking carcass of half a Guardian in the corner.
You stared at the ancient machine, unable to compute.
“Over here!”
Whipping around, your eyes scanned the room.
“Ah, behind the table.” The voice said sheepishly.
Rushing towards it, you quickly vaulted over to the other side, finding a young man on the floor. You blinked, silent as he rubbed his head and groaned, readjusting the metal goggles that sat heavy above his eyes. Taking in his appearance was...overwhelming. He looked, well, rather odd for starters.
His coiffed white hair was combed back and above his forehead in a style you’ve never seen before, fanning out like a peacock’s feathers. It possessed a volume that was miraculously intact despite the blast, making you wonder if he employed some sort of chemical to keep it that way.
The Sheikah uniform that he wore was cream in colour and soot stained from the explosion earlier. You noticed that he’d made a few minor adjustments, rolling his shirt sleeves above the elbows and foregoing the usual navy inner layer completely, giving him a ridiculous V-neck that seemed to go on and on...and oh Goddesses you were staring now. How long have you been staring at him for?
Quick, your brain screamed. Say something, maybe he hasn’t noticed.
You blurted out the first thing in your mind: (well, second. The first was ‘is your hair held up by witchcraft?’ and that probably wouldn’t roll too well.) “Are you okay?”
Reaching out, you offered him a hand up, shocked when he grasped it with no hesitation. His grip was strong but not uncomfortable, and with your help he managed to stand with little trouble.
The grin that he gave in reply was infectious. “I am now, thanks to you.” He had a nice smile. In fact, now that you think about it, his voice was rather nice too. Smooth and—not the time to do this brain!
Releasing your hand, he took a step back, surveying the damage and mess around him. He cleared his throat. “Hm, apologies for the...everything that you see around you right now. I wanted to test a hypothesis regarding the activation of the Guardian’s defense mechanism even whilst inert.” Picking up a fallen gear, he polished it with the edge of his charred shirt and placed it on the table. “Evidently, I got my answer,” he laughed. “So in a way the experiment was a success.”
Oh, he’s a scientist here, you gathered. Great, maybe he could help you find your boss. “Actually, I was wondering if you knew where one of the Directors of this lab was? His name is Doctor Robbie. I’m the new research assistant.” You felt a shock of warmth threatening to creep up your neck, feeling silly at needing to ask a colleague for assistance this early in the day.
His smile widened, your blush rising to your face like mercury in a thermometer. “Know where he is? Why, of course I do.” In the blink of an eye, he stuck his hand in the air, striking a pose that was so charming and silly that you wondered if you’d inhaled too much toxic smoke earlier and was currently hallucinating on the fumes.
“You’re in luck,” he announced. “For the ‘Doctor Robbie’ you’re looking for is none other than I.”
Oh. It was no use, your embarrassment was reaching an all time high and at this point the smartest option was to stop fighting and let the blush takeover and run its course. Trying and failing to hide your shock, you don’t notice the Doctor’s pose wilt at the lack of your response.
Take a deep breath and do it again, your supervisor— ex-supervisor’s voice echoed like an angry phantom that refused to leave your head. Slowly recovering, you bowed low, the seventy degree angle pulling the muscles in your back. “Forgive me, I didn’t know.” You say your name quickly and in one breath. “Pleased to meet you.”
Straightening up, you were relieved at the lack of anger or annoyance in his face. Even with the goggles, it was easy to tell that the Doctor’s expression was relaxed, and if anything, just a tad worried. “The pleasure is all mine. You have nothing to be sorry for, and please, there’s no need to be so formal.”
“Got it. If you show me where the written reports are kept, I can start organising the data as soon as possible.”
“Hmm? Oh, we can worry about that later.” Folding his arms across his chest, Doctor Robbie gracefully spun on his heels, walking towards the Guardian head that tried to set him on fire only minutes ago. “What I need you to do is to grab a crowbar from the table and some gloves.”
“How come?”
Fearlessly knocking on the ancient machine’s temple, he moved to face you, that enigmatic smile back on his face as the gears on his goggles began to turn. “We’re going to see what makes this beauty tick.”
Theory time!!! Or well..just a headcanons.
I just recently watched the Botw 2 teaser and I absolutely L O V E D it. I love the way that their using so much from Skyward Sword and this post is just basically rambles from me and my sibling at three AM.
First of all, are we going to see the old goddess statue? Like when the Hyrule is being lifted up into the sky will the statue be unearthed? And will the rocks that was being lifted show the time that has passed like the different layers of rock? And a smaller theory that I had about the City in the sky from Twilight Princess was that that land that the Occoo's had claimed, what if that was one of the remaining floating islands from Skyward Sword? What are they going to do with Fi In botw 2? It would be a perfect opportunity to re introduce her and maybe give her a new design. Also, Girahim. Bring him back. Something that I was screaming about for a while was, what if that is the return of Demise? And because the developers of botw 2 are using the very first Zelda in the timeline, could this be the last? But there was a rebuttal with that is Ganon because in Botw calamity was only a part of him, not actually Ganon. What happened/happens to the Yiga clan? More👏Culture👏For👏The👏Different👏Races!!!! And this is just a headcanon, not a theory, but Spirit Tracks? We all know them, yeah? Well I headcanon that Spirit Tracks Link grew up to be Hyrule's best engineer. He goes around places to spread his newfound technology, and on his travels he eventually finds small like villages almost of the Sheikah. He discovers all of their technology and forms an alliance w them and shares his own tech, and years later, he helps design and make the Devine Beasts and Guardians.
Well, this is all I have, feel free to add on if you like.
idk if this counts, but... what are your favorite/ least favorite things about botw? i mean, like: npc, area, weapon, thing to cook, outfit, race(or species, i'm not sure. i mean like zora/ gerudo/ etc), enemy, etc. what's your botw horse's name? sorry if this isn't helpful at all. i hope your night gets better luna *sparkle heart emoji x3*
it counts. hyperfixation meaning any media i post abt ty <3
i don't have a current active file? (waiting to play on the gaming channel for a fresh playthrough) but my main horse on my og file (before i foolishly deleted it. will never forgive myself for that </3) was the royal white stallion & i named it auroyalty. like. aurora from sleeping beauty + royalty? idk i came up with it on a whim and liked it lol
for the other question,,, i'll give favorite/least favorite or most disliked depending on what it is for each example you gave?
favorite npc: kass most disliked npc: if like. the story characters aren't counted (cause obvs the answer is rhoam/revali in that case) then... creep with the snow/sand shoes. hate that creepy bastard, but link's intolerance for his shit is very entertaining at least lmfao favorite area: satori mountain <3 least favorite area: thundrea plateau. that quest murders my soul & having the rubber armor locked within it is just cruel favorite weapon: 5x lynel bow for the damage :) least favorite weapon: the zoom bows? like. they're useful at first but the zoom is SO intense it always trips me up when i didn't realize i had them equipped favorite thing to cook: i p much only make extra heart/stamina foods, & attack/speed boosters. i haven't experimented too much with actual recipes. mayhaps i should for the playthrough. least favorite thing to cook: low tier attack up/speed boost foods by accident </3 favorite outfit: champion's tunic + hylian trousers + hero of the wild cap dyed light blue :) most disliked outfit: the rubber armor,, i still get it every time bc obvs the lighting resistance is v useful. esp for thunderblight but must it look Like That. Link deserves better pls favorite species: zora is my favorite, but tbh i think botw did a rly good job with all the species?? they all feel so fleshed out, & even their homes have sm loving detail put into them. i love all of them tbh favorite enemy: lynels. i like hunting them for stress relief : ) most disliked enemy: fucking lizalfos and the octo variants. they're SO annoyinngggggg hhhhh i hate theeemmm.
Fanfic Writer Interview
I got tagged by @coconi! Thank you for the tag!
Tagging @higuchimon, @silvormoon and @satari-raine if you’re feeling up for it!
How many works do you have on AO3?
40!
What’s your total AO3 word count?
371 512, but probably over 500k if you include the stuff I never moved from ff.net.
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
9 fandoms: Yu-Gi-Oh, GX, 5D’s and Arc-V, Ace Attorney, Oban Star Racers, Nachtwacht, Breath of the Wild and Modao Zushi
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Your own heart that matters (BoTW)
Guiding a Star (YGO 5DX)
Shadows Cast (YGO GX)
None of Worth (YGO GX)
One Second Per Second (YGO 5DX)
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I try to! ... But I’m very bad at it. Sometimes I reply almost straight away, sometimes it takes me months and months before I manage. I do very much appreciate each and every comment that comes my way!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Probably Zero Hour (YGO 5Ds), which was my shot at a soulmate fic where canon events and motivations were more important to the characters than any soulmate status.
Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I have an entire series where I throw Judai into unrelated fandoms just to see what explodes :D I highly recommend doing so, it’s great fun!
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not outright hate, though someone once got terribly offended at *checks notes* portraying Jiang Cheng as a multifaceted character who has extremely complex feelings with regards to Wei Wuxian?
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Nah, I’m the kind of ace who is no good at it. I tried once, but it made me feel extremely awkward in a way I couldn’t work through.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not outright stolen, but someone once took large swathes of a fic of mine and just changed the names and relevant details. They did credit me as an inspiration, buuuut it was a little more than just inspiration.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Once! I’d be delighted if people wanted to translate other fics of mine!
What’s your all time favorite ship?
I usually have favorite ships per fandom, though the ones that have been with me the longest are Yubel/Judai/Johan (GX) and Yusei/Bruno (5Ds).
Whats a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I once started writing a fic about Aki coming to terms with her powers and how they evolved post-canon, mostly because I was in a rut at the time and needed to write something. I still hope to come back to it one day, but it’s looking increasingly unlikely.
What are your writing strengths?
Emotions and stream-of-consciousness, particularly when a character is panicking or otherwise not thinking clearly. I love writing those scenes.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Description. I am horrifically bad at describing things or people and I have aphantasia, so elaborate descriptions à la Tolkien are entirely wasted on me (give me a five-paragraph description of a lush forest with all the various creatures living there and my takeaway will be ‘there are trees’.)
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I like doing so, but it’s a delicate balance and if you’re gonna do it, make sure the language is correct and it makes sense for the character. Only do it if the other characters in the vicinity really aren’t able to understand what’s being said.
What’s being said also needs to make sense in context, even if the full translation isn’t given.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter, a fic about the Hogwarts Founders. I was 13 and it never saw the light of the internet :D
What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?
I am still very fond of So Far, So Good! When it comes to more recent fic, I had a lot of fun writing Nowhere Near (Nachtwacht), Your own heart that matters (Botw) and Stranger to your soul (mdzs)!
okay so the main main point of the botw and twilight princess crossover is that i like wolves and also like midna
now, getting accidentally teleported across time and space is a very fun idea and midna specifically would be like huh. bestie. whats going on
anyway its been a while since i played either game and i REFUSE to touch the wiki its 10pm. anyway.
so the MOST fun part is the fact that link (botw v.) appears to be missing. so here’s twilight. im calling him dusk. Dusk is like hm. okay. what uh. whats going on rn lol aha.
midna is like hm. idk bestie!!! i bet you i can pretend i know what to do tho <3 and then they kinda go through the game EXCEPT. you can be a wolf (yes yes yes theres all that “u arent the link i know. what. what” that adds some nice like. plot into it. doesnt matter)
EXTRA! ZELDA GETS A GHOST FORM BC I SAYYY SOOOOO she’s like hello how are u i just got forced out of my position as the calamity’s only lock from the outside world <3 theres some lady doing that for me instead now??? like uhhh okay ma’am lol
in the end its simplified down to: midna, dusk and botw zelda (ghost style) are adventuring hyrule, zelda helping out as like one of the blessing things u get from saving the champions except she only says hello as dusk is paragliding down from that tall middle starting place
one scene i have planned out in my head is them all relaxing by a campfire while they wait for time to pass (for whatever reason) and dusk is curled around midna i just realized oh my gods its midna like midnight isnt it, gods damnit, anyway hes in wolf form and shes just like hehe tired doggy... im tired too. and zelda is like huh. dog huh? and she just like plays with his fur. like she pets him. and shes a ghost so shes like this isnt gonna work! but its fun to think about. anyway he can feel it anyway so shes like :D and hes like :3 anyway theyre friends and midna is sleeping
@idiotjuicyy for when u wake up tomorrow. good night. im not going to bed
Currently Watching: the fate: winx saga on netflix akljdflakjsdf i watched winx club when i was a kid and i LOVED IT and then i saw that there was going to be an edgy gritty darker teen reboot of winx club and i was like “this is going to be a disaster, i have to watch it” so im currently hate watching it with my roommates and it is, in fact, a disaster. no teenager acts like whatever the fuck they’re doing in the show (”i saw you creeping on my insta last night” is a real quote from the show), and also kind of fucked up that they white-washed 2 characters and removed one, also added an unnecessary love triangle and girls hating each other for no reason but WHATEVER!!! at least its funny. also i started watching jujutsu kaisen a lil while ago and its so fun! v engaging and funny and also sad, pog/10 anime
Currently Reading: These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong! its like a romeo and juliet retelling set in 1920s shanghai and im loving it!!! 1. bc its set in china 2. its fucking??? childhood friends (ish) to lovers to exes and enemies (and then probably back to lovers!!!) 3. the cais and montagovs are rival gangs??? how cool is that??? also reading Women of the Fertile Crescent bc i started like 1289761283 different poetry anthologies last fall but have been going back and forth between them so im trying to focus on one poetry anthology before i go onto another one. and yeah, women of the fertile crescent fucks, the poems are so beautiful, pog/10 again
How’s it going? hahaha at the risk of oversharing on the internet (which no one has ever done on the internet before im sure, least of all me), the semester’s starting to creep up on me more and more and ive been getting more anxious, like im starting to fall back into the old habits last semester that made me a cold, nervous, constantly nauseous never-ending working machine, but at least i recognize them this time!!! so i can halt them before they sink their shitty little claws into my brain, and im trying to pick apart my mindset and stop the thought processes that tell me im always running out of time, and im also trying to remind myself that i objectively do have enough time for things and i will get things done even if im not thinking about them 24/7 akjdhfklajsdf i mean i also had a midterm last week which sucked ass and probably contributed to these feelings, but i dont have another midterm until the next 2 weeks! so im trying to relax for now and enjoy my time in the present :)
tagging @firewoodfigs @meridianheroine @notkorras @tophbeifong and anyone else who wants to join in! absolutely no pressure :)
