putting my prediction on record now that the coming decade is going to see the rise of viral-marketed fancy at-home water filtration systems, driving and driven by a drastic reduction in the quality of U.S. tap water (given that we are in a 'replacement era' where our current infrastructure is reaching the end of its lifespan--but isn't being replaced). also guessing that by the 2030s access to drinkable tap water will be a mainstream class issue, with low-income & unstably housed people increasingly forced to rely on expensive bottled water when they can't afford the up-front cost of at-home filtration--and with this being portrayed in media as a "moral failing" and short-sighted "choice," rather than a basic failure of our political & economic systems. really hope i'm just being alarmist, but plenty of this already happens in other countries, and the U.S. is in a state of decline, so. here's praying this post ages into irrelevance. timestamped April 2023

Hi, guys,

I just wanted to come on here and tell you about recent changes in my life. I have some happy news and some... Not so happy. I hope you guys can understand and always remember me fondly, but I will no longer be able to write fanfiction for Miguel. 😔

The happy news, and the reasoning for me stepping back from writing fanfiction is that I got engaged to my boyfriend! He finally popped the question after ten months of dating!! Engagement ring pic because why not? 🥺

Anyway, I'm beyond the moon and I can't wait for this new chapter in my life!! 🥹 I'm currently in the process of packing up all my belongings to move in with my fiancé at his luxurious penthouse (why is he so rich? I don't know!). I'm kind of nervous about becoming a wife but I'm so happy about the future!!

I wish I could keep writing fanfics but I don't think I'll have access to Tumblr from Nueva York and my fiancé might think it's weird I'm writing fanfics about him online, so I must step back for the wellbeing of my marriage. One of the things i love about dead on main is when its only from one of their pov you miss so much of the story. Jason found a cute boy thats a space nerd and wants to bring him into his life despite it being dangerous? Thats very sweet sweetie but said cute boy is probably the most dangerous person in Gotham and you dont even know. Danny falling for the hot vigilante that was accidentally sacrificed to him in between sarcasm and jokes? Danny hon this boy is scarier than you are and you are the king of the dead.

I just find it hilarious how in half the fics they see each other as a normal human and in the more infatuated ones basically want the other to be their trophy husband when they are both not-so-secretly actual powerhouses

Jim and Spock: Vulcan married (by accident) in that Spock's pon farr was resolved with Jim (they rolled in the sacred sands and didn't die!)

Bones and Spock: Vulcan married (also by accident) in that they have an irreversible bond after the fal-tor-pan (I think this extended his lifespan to match a Vulcan's but idk where I read that, might've just been fanon)

Jim and Bones: Human married for sure. they had Spock officiate (partly cause he's the first officer and is able to do that, and partly cause they love him and wanted him involved) and they both cried.

all three: take turns getting married in all sorts of different cultures whenever aliens want them to do their special bonding ceremony. (same post as before but it's relevant here too) Once they encountered a planet where the locals marry in threes and of course they did it. They didn't even need to for the mission but they wanted to so bad. Jim and Bones cried again and Spock smiled when nobody was looking
