ok i thought about it and actually, the wildest thing in the wizard of oz series (to me) was when the tin man, scarecrow, and A Random Child whose name I can't remember all went to find the tin man's ex. and they stop at tin man's buddy's house, to see if he knows where said ex is these days, and buddy isn't there, so they go inside to wait for him
and the house???? is full of severed body parts?????? just everywhere, they're in a barrel by the door, they're on the table, just chunks of clearly human flesh and a mess of limbs and whatnot, tin man thinks this is fine, scarecrow is really creeped out, scarecrow opens a cabinet and finds a severed human head
tin man runs on over and is like "what the f- oh that's me lol" and it's??? HIS old severed head??? so the scarecrow is just barely recovered from this, tin man is explaining the situation of how he became tin again, etc. etc.
and then the eyes open
and long story short the tin man's soul transferred to his new tin body, but it takes more than having your soul removed to kill you in oz... so his old body is still alive, but without its memories and completely confused and disoriented
the friend comes back and casually mentions how it took a bit for the transferring to finish, and after that the head just didn't remember anything. that means there was a bit there where this head DID have all of the tin man's memories still, and as far as he knew his friend had just left him without a body in a cabinet, unable to move, while the rest of his body just... walked off without him. literally horrific and the tin man is just like "haha! how quirky!" and honestly it's not the worst thing to have happened to him so i can't fault him for that but like. i'd be a little worried if one of my oldest friends told me that they'd totally leave me in a cabinet while my soul slowly left my body and wouldn't even feel bad.

No wonder coyotes have a reputation of being the ultimate chicken thieves, i just woke up from a chicken wing induced food coma and the only clue as to what happened to me was an absolutely demolished 20pc of wings sitting on the table near where i was sprawled face down on the couch

I forgot that at Nekocon I had a tip jar with a framed photo of Ash and Paul from their reunion episode (which, btw, I didn't even REALIZE but the episode debuted in English on that weekend, LOL) and I got: someone being like "oh that's photoshopped, that never happened"; cishet dude vibes asking if I "shipped" them before tossing 5 bucks into their marriage funds bc "I support that" without purchasing anything from me (bless up); a Dawn/Zoey shipper calling me VALID for shipping them like you are SO valid too btw; and a father telling his kid "oh the purple dude is Ash's father."
That was. A time.

Theres an odd beauty in beaing dead but also alive
An incarnation of death itself, and yet fully aware of every twitch of life through my false veins
Sudden bursts of energy that pulse through muscles and pull at my tendons, forcing bones to jerk along with the puppeteering of the nervous system.
The feeling of legs pounding against the earth, that which itself is alive.
Every breath into my lungs of cool winter air, burning and scraping its way down and with every chilly tingle of my insides I breathe the air around me, knowing that every gulp is provided by life itself, I am breathing in life.
Even as i sit, back to the earth and face towards the heavens, I know im not alone.
The wind is alive in its dreary howls, stroking across my fur.
The trees are alive as they creak and beckon their woes and worries with twisting branches that try to grasp upon the stars.
The earth is alive, rustling under my paws and devouring the rot of the world that tramples it and nests within its flesh.
The world is alive and that which is beyond is alive and I’m connected to it.
A stranger to this world, an omen of demise and yet despite everything,
I too am alive.
Logically I should not be as a spirit of the realm beyond, and yet i touch, i breathe, i feel, I cry and I bleed and I am alive.
The souls of beyond and future twist throughout my veins, i collect that which is left behind but even death itself is alive.
To be conscious is to live they say but even the unconscious breathe and thrive.
Do they hope do they dream do they do more than just survive?
We are all deeply and thuroughly alive wether we hold human forms or not.
Death is not the end of life but instead the start of a new form of being alive.

Oh oh!!! 18 and 11 for the fnaf ask game :)
11. What year was it and what game got you into fnaf?
I've been here from the beginning! 2014, I found out about the series after seeing Markiplier start a playthrough of the first! would not recommend, 8-9 year old me was absolutely terrified of Withered Bonnie.
18. Who's your favorite rabbit character?(Bonnie, Vanny, M.X.E.S, Springtrap, etc?)
Considering I developed a special interest in him before his debut game even dropped, just through teasers and such... Springtrap :3
remember when these mfs were trying to call him Salvage? 😭

So I reblogged this post about vampires a few days ago (a week ago? some time ago idk) and it made me remember this book I read back in junior high and I've been thinking about it and it's been bugging me because I can't remember exactly what it was called and I have no idea if I'll ever find it again.
Every time I tell people about this book they call me crazy, but I swear to god it's real: It was a non-fictional encyclopedia about Vampires that I checked out of the school library. I remember finding it, thinking it'd be a cool read, and taking it home with me.
Absolutely wild shit in there, y'all.
There were a few different ways for making vampires but one I remember the most because it stuck with me the longest: If you walked over a dead man's grave that was one way to wake them up and turn them into vampires. I remember going to a funeral a few years after that and walking over a grave because apparently there's no organization to graves and people nowadays just don't care if you walk over them or the memorial stones?? and thinking to myself "well these people are gonna crawl out of their graves and start sucking up blood".
There was an entire chapter dedicated to recognizing Vampires on sight, and I distinctly remember a whole page talking about when you saw a vampire in daylight you would be able to tell just by looking at them because there would be this other-worldliness about them, this unnatural beauty and light to them that would be almost impossible to describe. And I recall that page specifically because a few days later there was a discussion in my friend group about how "unrealistic" it was that the Twilight Vampires sparkled in daylight, and all of my friends laughed - but I spoke up and I started quoting that book I had just read and that if one put it into the context of "they sparkle because it's like looking at someone with other-worldy beauty then yeah, it makes sense to me", and all of them looked at me funny like "what the hell are you smoking you psycho?"
Also no mention of garlic that I remember. Definitely mentioned stakes! Don't remember in what context, but the book definitely mentioned stakes. Also silver. But not garlic. Sorry people who think garlic keeps vampires away, but apparently it don't.
And that book was old. I mean that thing was falling apart. The pages were yellowed and thick, they weren't cut by some machine - all of the pages were rough on the edges. If I close my eyes and think back I can almost feel the texture of them in my hands. The cover was red, the corners were rough, the binding was bent and a little bit broken. The title was simple, there wasn't any imagery on the book.
It was an encyclopedia of vampires, and I found it in the non-fiction section of my school library. I held onto to it for a week, and it was through that book that I discovered that when you checked out non-fiction books from the school library, for each day you held onto one the library would fine you $2.
For a 14-year-old whose family was on food stamps at the time, $10 was a lot of money.
(I was very, very lucky the librarian liked me because ho boy. I did not have a way of getting $10 guys.)
Anyway, I've never been able to find that book again. Nowhere. Anytime I try to look up "Encyclopedia of Vampires", I just find some newer books about vampires in mythology or in film or they've been interpreted throughout the years. But I distinctly remember this book being about Vampires as if they were real things, that could and would attack you, and that might need to be hunted down. No idea why a book like that would be in a school library and hiding in the non-fiction section among all the books about science and history, but there we have it.
I wish I could read it again.

I had the weirdest fucking dream that Zagtoon or whatever fired everyone working on MLB, sold the rights to some other studio and it got a reboot that everyone unanimously decided was god's gift to television or something it was so whack
And then I woke up and it isn't real I remember people were ranting about the amazing animation and redesigns, the colour symbolism, queercoding, motifs, literally everything and now I feel robbed.
