DISCLAIMER: I LOVE JARED AND GEN AND WOULD NEVER WANT THEM TO BREAK UP. THIS SERIES IS NOT MEANT TO TRY AND CAUSE HARM, NO WIFE HATE WILL BE TOLERATED.

DESCRIPTION: Your life changed the moment Jared Padalecki walked through the doors of your shit job, in your shit town. You helped him as much as you could, becoming extremely close. (Characters, Warnings, etc. will change per part.)

Jared squeezed your hand as you both rounded the corner to the convention hall. “If you want to go back to the room, you can. I don’t want you to be uncomfortable down there if any questions come up about us.”

You shook your head and wiped the sweat away from your free hand onto your leggings, “It’s okay. I’ll have to deal with something like this eventually, I might as well just get it out of the way now.”

Jared pursed his lips and nodded as you guys met up with Jensen backstage. “Y/N, Jared,” Jensen nodded towards you both. “I assume you guys have seen the articles?”

You nodded, “I’ve already gotten texts about them.” You shrugged, “It is what it is. This was going to happen sooner or later.”

Jensen stared at you, studying you, trying to get a grasp of your true feelings about the situation. He smirked as he patted Jared’s back, “Well Jare, looks like you’ve bagged yourself one smart girl.”

Jared snickered, “Yeah, you could say that.”

The boys’ handlers came towards them, the shorter of the two that was in charge of Jared spoke, “Jared, Jensen,” she paused as she pulled at a rogue curl from her bright orange hair, “Are you guys ready? The panel starts in 2 minutes.”

Both boys nodded and said, “Yep,” in unison.

The taller girl’s eyes crinkled at the corners as she smiled, “Great!” She handed the boys their microphones, “Let’s head towards the curtain.”

You all began to walk together when Jared’s handler stopped both you and Jared, “Will she be staying back stage or will she sit out on the floor?”

Jared looked towards you, “I guess I thought she’d sit backstage and just watch back here, but do you want to? O-or do you want to sit out there with everyone else?”

You gnawed on your lip gently, “Uh.” Jared squeezed your hand reassuringly, “Maybe I’ll actually sit out there? Get the convention experience I’ve always wanted?” You looked towards the gentle giant, “Is that okay?”

He chuckled with a warm smile, “That’s definitely okay.” He turned towards his handler, “Can you guys just sneak her out once everyone is seated?”

She nodded, her bright orange curls bouncing dramatically, “Of course.”

“Thank you.” He sighed as he turned towards you, putting both hands on your shoulders, the bottom of the microphone was cool and hard compared to Jared’s warm and soft hands. “Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”

You couldn’t help but smile at his nervousness, “Yes. I will be fine. Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”

He playfully scoffed at your statement, “Of course.” He looked into your eyes one last time, making sure you were okay before he turned towards his handler again, “Okay, let’s go.”

You smiled and sheepishly waved as he stood at the curtain, trying to reassure him. He nodded towards you with a smirk before the girls gave the boys their cue. The red head jogged towards you, her ringlets bouncing with vigor, “Let’s get you out on the floor.”

You nodded and followed behind her, quickly rounding the hallway from backstage to the entrance of the auditorium. The room was lit up compared to their other panels so you sat in the row behind all the gold panel guests, everyone too focused on Jensen and Jared teasing each other on stage to notice you.

You rubbed your hands on your leggings as you focused on Jared. His smile was dazzling and you could swear that you could see his eyes sparkle as they landed on you in the audience. You could see nerves melt off him, knowing you were in the audience to support him, even though you would have been backstage for him as well, seeing you must have made a difference for him.

You chuckled quietly to yourself, hoping not to gain attention from the fans in front of you, as the boys talked about their week on set, the pranks they pulled, their journey here and their drop in on Misha. Then it was question time. Nerves bubbled in your belly and you could see Jared shift uncomfortably on stage just waiting for the one question we knew was going to be brought up since the articles this morning.

The first fan bounced towards the microphone, others following behind her quickly, her blonde pigtails and fake Castiel wings were as animated as she was as she waved at the boys, “Hello!”

Jensen and Jared smiled and nodded towards her while Jensen spoke up, “Hello, Castiel.” He threw a wink in her direction, making her bounce in place, “How are you today?”

She gripped the microphone with both hands, “Amazing because I’m here!” The boys chuckled softly as she continued, “Jared,” he glanced towards you quickly and then back towards the femme Castiel, “I’m sorry about your split with Gen.” She sighed, “Have you been doing okay with everything? You’ve been very open about your struggles in the past and your family,” She gestured out to the audience with a giggle, “just want to make sure that you’re doing okay.”

You could see Jared’s breath of relief through his smile, “I’ve actually been doing well. I’ve got a great support system that has helped me tremendously and I never hesitate to-to communicate when I need help or even talking to professionals to try and figure things out. If I didn’t have the people in my life that I do because of working on this show for this long and making the-these valuable friendships, I probably wouldn’t be doing as well as I am today.”

“I’m glad you’re doing well,” she nodded with a shy smile, “Thank you.”

Jared nodded as the next fan stepped up towards the microphone, “Hi guys!” The boys both raised their mics in unison, “Hello.” She smiled and cleared her throat, “When Supernatural ends, do you guys plan on jumping into other projects or taking some time off?”

Jensen and Jared looked towards each other, silently debating who would answer the question first. They nodded and Jared raised his microphone first, “Uh, well. I would probably take some time off. Spend some time with the kids and friends and family. As of right now, we’re still going to be doing the show as long as you guys want us to.” He chuckled as he looked towards Jensen, “We have an attachment to these characters and we don’t want to end their journey just yet.”

Jensen nodded, his lips slightly pursed, “Well said.” He shifted in his seat and licked his lips, “I think I would probably do the same as Jared,” he continued as he talked with his free hand, “spend some time with the family,” he shrugged slightly, “but if a really great project came up, I don’t know if I would say no to that either.” He chuckled, “Danneel would probably be pissed for a little bit if I took something else on but there are some people I would definitely like to work with again, like uh Eric Kripke. It was great working with him during those first five seasons. He has a wild imagination and is so talented in making his ideas come to life. I-it would be a pleasure to work with him again.”

She squeaked out a small, “Thank you,” before she handed the microphone to the next person in line and bounced back to her seat.

“Hello Jensen and Jared,” the third fan said as she flipped her long, straight, ebony hair over her leather covered shoulder. “Coming off of that last question, Jared.” You swore you could feel your stomach fall into your butt as you watch a smirk play on this fans lips, “I think I can speak for everyone in the room, we all saw the articles that were released this morning.” Jared swayed nervously on the stage, “Who is the mystery girl? Has she helped you with your split from Gen?”

Jared looked towards the ground and cleared his throat into the mic, “Well, I guess I’ll answer the second question first. In short, yes.” He wrapped both hands around his mic and squeezed, his knuckles turning white from the strain, the tell tale. “Believe it or not, I met her the night that Gen and I split. I was a mess. I hopped on a plane, just flew to a little hole in the wall,hoping no one would recognize me, and then drove for about an hour before I landed in the town she was in. She was working in a store I stopped in late that night, the only store that was still open in the whole town.” He chuckled, “She helped me out with grabbing some beer so I could drink in my hotel room but ended up giving me her number. I’m sure I looked like a wreck and she was worried. I distinctly remember her saying to me ‘All I want to do is help. I’m not a crazy fan, just a concerned,’” he raised his hands in the air and made air quotes as he continued,” ‘family member.” He cleared his throat once more and softly smiled, “She, uh, actually got me off the ledge I was on. I didn’t want to call Jensen,” he glanced towards his friend, sorrow etched into his features, “so I just took the chance. I had nothing left to lose.” Tears pricked your eyes as Jared shrugged on stage, “It ended up being one of the best decisions of my life.”

The air was thick with sadness as the audience ‘awed’ at Jared’s story. You wiped a stray tear from your cheek as Jared’s eyes honed in on you with a small smirk.

“Right now I won’t disclose anything about her unless she wants me too. I’m sure she’ll be up here one day with us but for now, I’ll let her decide.”

Jensen interjected with a stern tone and dad finger pointed out to the audience, “So, that means don’t do your little detective work you all always do.” He chuckled, “But seriously, give these guys a little space and respect. More information will come out when they’re ready.”

You could see the pout form on the fans lips, which made you slightly angry, but tried shaking it off as she said, “Thank you,” and walked to her seat.

Jared’s handler poked her head out of the curtain, “5 more minutes guys!”

They both nodded as they turned their attention towards the man at the microphone now, “Hello boys,” he gruffed out, mimicking Crowley. They chuckled as he continued, “What aren’t you guys going to miss about filming Supernatural?”

Jensen raised his mic quickly, “Huh, I don’t think we’ve ever gotten that question before. Have we?” He turned towards Jared with a quizzical look, Jared shook his head ‘no’ in response. Jensen turned his attention back towards the fan, “Well, honestly, the traveling.” He rubbed at his mouth with his free hand, “I hate leaving my family and filming in a whole different country.”

Jared nodded along with him, “Same here. The traveling, it-it,” he paused with a smile, “majorly sucks.” The audience giggled. “If we could film in the U.S., it might be a bit different. We could probably come home more often, but dealing with customs is a freaking nightmare. I definitely won’t miss that.”

The Crowley impersonator nodded with a, “Thank you,” before he joined his friends in the audience.

You watched the boys on stage give the fans their love and goodbyes as a hand snaked around your shoulder and made you jump. You turned to see Jared’s handler, red ringlets falling in her face as she whispered, “They’re almost done. Let’s go before everyone leaves.” You nodded and nearly ran to keep up with her as you left the auditorium.

You entered backstage just as Jared walked through the curtain. He handed his mic to the nearest person as he rushed towards you, wrapping his arms around you, “Are you okay?”

You wrapped your arms around his torso with a nod as you buried your head into his chest, breathing in his homey musk, “Yes.” You pulled back slightly to look up towards him, “She seemed like she wanted to stir the pot a little but you handled it well. Are you okay?”

He squeezed you slightly, “More than okay.” He turned around towards Jensen, “Do you want to go get some food since we have a little time before meet and greets?”

Jensen patted his belly in a very Dean way, causing you to giggle, “Never thought you’d ask.”

“Okay, Dean.” You giggled out as you all turned to walk out of the convention hall.

“Hey, hey.” He stood at your Jared-free side, “Dean and I are one at this point.” You all laughed together as you headed towards the hotel restaurant.

Only in the spn ‘fandom’ (doesn’t deserve that name tbh) do people spend so much time and energy talking about something they hate ie Jensen and the prequel

Its really really weird :/

Recent con has made it clear as to why Jared would get depressed time and time again when he was doing SPN? And why is he in a far better mood when he was with Walker?

Imagine getting slighted and dissed at an event that was started because of you. You are looked down upon by colleagues whom you helped and advice to be part of this circuit. They don't even care for you and make fun of your expense, and you don't have any choice but to endure. Becoz lashing or saying anything will only hurt your image and will make you look like an asshole.

If this isn't enough, the same behavior is carried on to your work. People have realised that you won't do much about it, so the ill treatment continues at work. What makes it worse is that you have to not only act brotherly towards the guy who was the reason behind the ill-treament to maintain the facade but also stroke his ego and praise him for everything.

You will let it go at first, and you might take in a stride, but as it continues, it starts gnawing at you. Slowly, it starts chipping at you, making you sad and slowly you become disinterested in the work you used to like the most.

You could see this happening with Jared. There was a huge difference between Jared that was in the earlier panels vs. Jared that was in the panel towards the end of SPN. You could see how Jensen and fans' constant dissing and ridiculing made Jared vary. What made me angry was how Jensen and Co was trying to ridicule Jared about dad jokes simply because those are the ones that connect him the most with the audience. The entire drum roll beat is the most ridiculous thing of cons.

It is totally understandable why Jared said that Walker reignited his love for acting. Imagine how ugly it must have been for Jared that he stop loving the craft he once loved the most

I agree with your opinions for the most part. But there are still some points of contradiction. For example, if Jared left the show, the spn wouldn't last much without him. If you exclude the bias towards Jensen and Misha, with a proper plot, the series could very well exist. Like making a move with Sam finally finding peace, leaving hunting and starting a family. Dean is happy for him and continues to do what he loves and knows well - hunt monsters and protect people and that includes Sam and his new family. Just if you take the concept that Sam(Jared) is the main character and the story is about him and Dean(Jensen) is secondary and the story can't be without a main character, then what about The Big Bang Theory series? Obviously Leonard is the main character and Sheldon is secondary. But when James Parsons wanted to leave the show(several times) it wasn't allowed? Why? Sheldon is not the main character, neither is Dean, BUT they are both audience favorites. Suppose if the situation was the other way around and Jensen was the one who wanted to leave the spn, the show wouldn't make sense either? Just based on your logic, the main character leaving is a failure for the show. That said, the departure of the same James Parsons would be a big blow to the show. His character even got his own series in the end. Maybe that's what Jensen wanted. And then I don't understand why he didn't just do a series about John when Meri died and he was left alone with kids and monsters. That would have been so much more interesting!

I think I may be misinterpreting "bias towards Jensen and Misha", as in my bias or the show's bias? If the latter then put down that non-canon-compliant fanfiction and slowly step away.

The Big Bang Theory worked with Leonard as the lead until he and Penny got married, which ideally was when the show should have ended because the show started with him pining after Penny. But the show continued for 2 more seasons with the focused moved to Sheldon & Amy and it was very noticeable that the original magic was gone and the show was cancelled shortly after. The ratings in viewership and demo for the last 2 seasons were steadily going down.

I've said many times here that when shows lose their leads, they are either cancelled or limp along for 1 or 2 more seasons (X Files, The Office, Scrubs, 70's show, The OC) but then fans and critics complain that the show got way worse. So even though The Big Bang Theory still had their lead Leonard on the show, moving the focus to Sheldon & Amy still resulted in the show's cancellation 2 years later.

Moving SPN's focus from Sam to Dean & Cas would have had the same result, cancellation in one or two seasons. So the "proper plot" you speak off wouldn't save a Sam-less show. WB knew that and that's why they cancelled Supernatural.

If it was Jensen who left SPN back in season 3 or 4, the show still would have continued to season 5 to reach syndication. During that time the role of Sam's new partner would have been casted and if he or she worked well enough with Jared, then the show could have continued after season 5. Shows that lost their main secondary character have successfully continued for several more seasons: Monk, Cheers, Greys Anatomy, Law&Order:SUV, and of course Walker. NYPD Blues' Andy famously went through 4 partners in 12 seasons, each partner just as popular as the last.

I agree that the Supernatural prequel should have been about a widowed John and wee Sam and Dean. That was Michael Rosenbaum’s immediate assumption on his podcast interview with Jensen. He missed a real opportunity for a young Sam and Dean prequel because nostalgia for the 80s is at an all time high. It could have been his version of Stranger Things as wee Sam and Dean explore the strange and the supernatural, like Sam’s imaginary friend Sully and we get to know more about the Zannas, the only supernatural creatures without agendas against mankind.

the hypocritical nature of this is actually so hilarious when this behaviour accurately describes the way y’all are being towards Misha. Yet you feel justified in that because of your dislike… literally two sides of the same coin.

First of all - No. Just no. You are wrong anon.

In this poll situation, Misha IS the worst actor. He just is. Ask any professional. Hell, J2 and others who worked on spn have openly talked about making fun of him for being so over the top at some points and also have made fun of his "accents" and have told him to pull back.

Another reason you are wrong anon - we don't go around hunting down polls with Misha to downvote him. We also don't actively try to get his stuff canceled. Do we make fun of it HERE on our own blogs with proper anti tags and where we don't tag him or any of the rest of the cast, crew, etc? Absolutely. That is VERY different than actually making full blown campaigns with graphics and posters someone designed, etc. just to try and get Jared's shows canceled. All while tagging him and anyone related to the show including Jared himself, Gen, other actors, writers, etc.

Making fun of Misha on tumblr dot com without tagging literally anyone and not even putting it in his tumblr tag is worlds away from actively trying to get shows canceled and trying to do things like get charities to give back money simply because it was from the Pads. Like actually contacting the charity to do this. And if you can't see the difference anon? You need to step away from the internet and probably get some therapy.

Very well put, anon! It's always funny when they try and claim us dissing on Misha (rarely now since he's even more irrelevant than he's ever been) is "two sides of the same coin" to the hatred and downright death threats Jared receives even to this day.

And yes, out of the options presented in the poll, Misha is the worst actor. I mean, you just have to look at their post-SPN careers to see that. If he were that much better than Jared and Jensen, don't you think he'd have a job?

Spn cons are boring

Seeing Abi say that it's kinda clear that people in general are getting fatigued by the whole Creation Con thing. It's beyond boring at this point especially without Jared. Like how many times can you hear Jensen say "SOON" or the same old stories from Misha. These guys are trying too hard and not being authentic. There is no charm in that coz people in the audience can see through it.

Spn con like the show during the later seasons are just a drag now. It's only going on because some people are unable to let go of the money train coz as usual they didn't plan for the alternative and hoped to milk the fans till eternity.

Very much looks like the beginning of the end and as usual Jared padalecki decided/signalled it was time.

1: Things this first ‘Richard-ism’ brings to mind -

When Jared told us the story about being out to dinner in Rome with Genevieve (and accidentally flipping off the waiter), and at another con that same year, Jensen told the exact same story, except that time, he was the one who had been out to dinner with Jared…not Genevieve.

Also, just generally speaking, anytime Jared has publicly called Jensen “Jen.”

“Jen and I, we’re not small people.”

2: Obviously I love every single thing about the Js being nicknamed The Captain and Tennille. Obviously. 😊❤️

All I will add is this -

I feel like it must be a pretty universal thing to commonly associate The Captain and Tennille with Love Will Keep Us Together.

I mean…right?

Yeah. It totally is.

And that just adds an extra little awesome…something.

There’s very little I wouldn’t offer up on a silver platter to see that definitely dirty photo, and by the way, this was just one of the many shenanigans that went down when Dick left his phone where the Js could get their hands on it.

The phrase “unholy position” is absolutely perfect, and can we all agree that Jensen (who obsessively films/photographs Jared whenever he possibly can) was the boy who took the photo, while Jared was the boy who struck the unholy position? 😏

Mhm.

So, in case anyone forgot what this was all about, it was basically Richard joking about con-goers lying to their bosses about why they’re missing work (family emergency) and then those same bosses coming across hi-def videos online of their employees at J2 panels.

But what’s always cracked me up about this is the fact that specifically he went with “your gay grandparents.” It had to be your gay grandparents.

*chuckles*

So…THIS one!

Dick has not been the only SPN-cast-member to stumble over the whole “your - uh, I mean he” thing when talking to one J about the other J either on camera or in some public setting.

And it nevvver gets old.

Also…*ahem,* allow me to interject with -

Husband.

Husband is the word you’re looking for.

(or boyfriend depending on the year…or partner, significant other, soulmate…take your pick!)

Did I miss Misha originally say Cas’s confession was platonic?

I don't think Misha ever said that. For as much as i know he was on the main team with Bobo Berens to actively fight to have the confession happen, so he definitely never thought it was platonic. He's always been quite vocal about how non platonic it was actually, like when in Italy the "I love you" was dubbed with the platonic version of it, "ti voglio bene" (instead of "ti amo", which is the romantic equivalent) he posted a video to criticize that embarrassing decision.

I think there's been a moment, right after the first spn conventions after the finale, when the first fan questions about the confession happened and extremely embarrassing replies were given by certain actors (I'm talking about the infamous reply that Jared gave to a fan asking about it), Misha got really upset (not at Jared, i mean, in general, because apparently even after the confession canonically happened IN THE SHOW, they still weren't allowed to talk about it, or about destiel as an actual thing), and so he may have been quite frustrated for a while, not expressing himself quite as strongly ad he did at first.

But I'm seeing the latest few cons that happened, mainly the latest two jibs, and all the amazing jenmish content we got in their panels together, and how slightly easier it's become for them to talk about it... i mean Jensen and Misha wrote a destiel song on the spot a week ago at the jib11, and Jensen said he would love to see the confession being adressed "maybe we will get to see that soon" and I'm being more hopeful.

And so Misha has been quite more at ease bringing it up again too, like this is another reply he gave last week at jib11:

The thing about destiel is, I think the people in power never wanted it to happen because they thought they would lose viewers and thus, money, tainting the franchise. I think most of the writers tried to slip it in anyway, through the subtext, and they were always allowed it to a certain extent because it worked, and it placed the show in a certain limbo where destiel was basically Schrodinger's cat. It was there and wasn't at the same time. The confession was fought for and i think the peole who cared about it did whatever they could, but still, they couldn't get a complete win since the ones in charge still refused to let Dean reciprocate. So that must've been extremely frustrating for Misha too, because he's one of the ones that really cared for it, and understood just how meaningful it was to many people, and the power it had, and it might have had if brough to completion.

I think Jensen went on board too, somewhere along the way, and he changed his mind for the better. Like, i still think that to him, Dean is probably straight, but he's been way more open recently (ever since the confession, and probably during season 15 too, since the moment he knew the story was going to lead there) and probably after seeing the impact it had, the fandom's reaction to it and the finale, he probably understood just how much it would mean to so many people. So even though he may definitely have a preference for Dean being straight IF THE NETWORK ALLOWED IT i really don't think he would be against a canonically bi Dean. Not anymore. I think he might actually go for it. For the fans.

And i think he's had talks with Misha about it.

But what i mostly mean when I say "it's become slightly easier for them to talk about it" is they have more room to do it, because either their NDAs are about to expire or Jensen buying the rights to the story gives him more power to disclose things and talk more freely. Please take all these words with a grain of salt because i don't work in the industry and these are just my personal speculations, but i think the main problem and cause of frustration with talking about destiel publicly for any of the actors has always been contractual. The show didn't officially take a position (denying Dean the reciprocation) and so all the public statements and opinions of the actors needed to contractually adhere to the "company line" (which i think may *only partially* explain Jared's infamous rant, as a horrendously clumsy attempt to avoid confirmation of destiel - note that I'm not justifying it).

Of course, the enraging thing is that while Dean's reciprocation is canonically up to discussion and subject to interpretation, Castiel's is not. So Misha has always been one of the few to be freer to talk about that specific moment, because Castiel's journey took a clearer stand.

But even that has been buried or blurred down to "interpretation" very often by others, taking another time a huge step back, to favor the colossal hiding of destiel and not risk a blatant confirmation from the show, officially, on both sides. So if Misha ever said anything about it being platonic (which i don't think he did), he was probably just ranting it out in extreme frustration or reciting it as a company line to survive from the snipers of the CW (just as the rest of the actors).

That's how i see it anyway. Sorry i went a little overboard with my reply, and brought up Jensen in the discourse too, but hopefully that answers it! :)
