Hello! Can you do a dmc boys + V with a rich S/o? Perhaps the boys didn’t know that their s/o was rich when they first started dating but as time went on and the relationship becomes serious the s/o starts to spoil their boyfriends with all kinds of stuff related to the things they like because after the stuff they went through they definitely deserve it.
Aww yes, here you go and enjoy!
Sparda boys + V x Rich!Reader headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-He was completely oblivious to your wealth (as you did a great job of hiding it) and didn't really give it much thought until one day, when his power went out.
-He groaned, suddenly remembering he had no money to pay the bills, but then, astoundingly, the lights flickered back on.
-Was it a miracle? No, even better, it was you. You had paid his bills and gotten him out of debt with Lady--how?! Then you revealed you were rich, and Dante's mind was blown.
-Even after this stunning revalation, Dante still didn't care. He was very thankful for all your help, but he honestly had no sentiments towards being rich. He still treated you the same.
-The only thing he'll ask you for is for you to buy him some pizza, maybe once every week or so. He's not greedy.
-If you decide to shower him with presents anyway, he'll gladly accept and immediately find a way to make it up to you, be it taking you somewhere nice or...something else. No do not read into that
■ Vergil ■
-Vergil never noticed, and never cared. He is far too MOTIVATED to trifle with mundane things such as wealth.
-But then you presented him with a rare copy of a book that was worth hundreds of dollars, and he had to question, how did you obtain the funds for such a thing?
-Thus, you revealed you were absolutely loaded with cash, and Vergil was, understably shocked.
-After thanking you, he went right back to not caring about wealth because now he has this interesting book to read.
-Still, he appreciates it when you gift him little gifts, regardless of what they may be. You could give him a pebble you found on the side of the road, and he'd still treasure it forever.
-To reward you for your generosity, Vergil will do his best to take good care of you, physically and otherwise.
□ Nero □
-Nero didn't think much of it either, cause he's not shallow, but one day, Nico's van broke down in the middle of the road and was assaulted by demons who ripped up the exterior. Repairs were going to be extremely expensive, but then you stepped in and promised to take care of it all.
-Nero had to wonder, where'd you get the funds for that? You sheepishly revealed your wealth and he just shrugged.
-After thanking you and all that, things proceeded as usual, with you and Nero splitting the bills for everything as you always do.
-Nero never asks for anything, regardless of how expensive it is, but you don't care. You shower him with gifts, love and affection because this sweet boy deserves it.
-You two end up leaving little treats 'n things for each other at a designated "drop off" spot somewhere in your house.
-Your gifts always seem to be well thought out and expertly made, proving that you don't just buy meaningless trinkets to appease him, you get him things that truly have value.
● V ●
-V noticed you always seemed to be impeccably dressed, but didn't dwell on the subject since it wasn't all that important. His current objective was to get to know you further.
-Then, as things progressed between you, he found himself constantly receiving little presents on his doorstep, usually wrapped in shimmering velvet bows. There was no name tag and no writing on it, so he had no idea who was doing this or why.
-One day, Griffon caught you placing a little gift box and, Griffon being Griffon, decided to rat you out.
-V then approached you the next day and expressed his appreciation, which led to a massive confession on both your parts. You explained you just wanted to give him the luxury he deserves, and he was very touched, but insisted you didn't need to do that.
-But of course, you don't listen, and continued to spoil him however possible, even if you have to break in at 3:00 A.M. and leave it on his kitchen table.
-Eventually you had him move in with you, where you can treat him like the lovely princess he is.

Day Dream in Pinkies senses au
Pinkies senses au created by @my-quirk-is-fred
Info on Day Dream
Subject: Day Dream
Interviewer: Twilight Sparkle
Date: [Redacted]
[Begin Log]
Day Dream: Twilight!
Twilight Sparkle: Good evening, Day Dream. How are you doing?
Day Dream: I'm currently feeling a bit disoriented but otherwise okay, I guess....Why do I have to be in here?
Twilight Sparkle: ...It's ah...to help us with checkup. You'll have to be in the containment cell for a while.
Day Dream: Oh... okay.
Twilight Sparkle: Do you wanna talk about what happened to you during your time in the Everfree Forest?
Day Dream: Well, it's all a bit of a blur, to be honest. After I got to my old cave, I remember wandering the forest looking for things to journal, and then... everything just seemed to blend together. I lost track of time, and it felt like I was trapped in some sort of dream world.
Twilight Sparkle: A dream world, you say? Can you elaborate on that?
Day Dream: It's hard to explain. It was like being in a perpetual state of half-consciousness, where everything around me seemed surreal and fantastical. I saw things that couldn't possibly exist in the real world. Everything was made of candy, specifically gummy worms. Maybe my magic was going haywire or something.
Twilight Sparkle: Fascinating. And how did you eventually find your way out of this dream world?
Day Dream: It's hazy, but I remember hearing a voice calling out to me. It sounded familiar, like someone I knew. And then suddenly, I woke up in the forest, disoriented and confused. Then I found Spike, and he told me to come here.
Twilight Sparkle: Do you recall anything else about this voice? Are there any specific details that might help you identify its origin?Day Dream: Uh... It sounded like a lot of people were talking all at once. I heard Princess Celestia, Luna, you....pretty much everyone I know.
Twilight Sparkle: Interesting. It seems like your experience was quite....interesting. We'll need to investigate further to understand what caused it. Tell me if you remember anything else. For now, let's focus on getting you settled back in and ensuring you're feeling alright.
Day Dream: Okay. Also can you get my bag. I wanna read the book I found.Twilight Sparkle: I'll get write after the checkup.
[End Log]
Twilight Sparkle proceeded with the checkup, ensuring Day Dream was physically and magically stable after the peculiar experience in the Everfree Forest. Once everything was confirmed to be in order, Twilight retrieved Day Dream's bag and handed it to her.
"Here's your bag." Twilight placed the bag on the floor right next to Day.
"Thank you, Twilight." Day Dream smiled as she took her bag from her. She reached in and pulled out one of her many journals and a mysterious looking book that had an interesting looking cover.
"Your dinner will be ready soon," Twilight said before walking out of the room. She disappeared into the darkness outside the door before Day Dream could ask any questions.
(I suck at drawing horror XD)

ok here are the most important ones (to me)
The Ballad of the Pirate Queens by Anne Yolen
this is a children's book in verse about Anne Bonny and Mary Read. responsible for my pirate obsession
Bloody Jack by LA Meyer
a young adult series about a girl who disguises herself as a boy, goes to sea, and becomes a pirate. these were the best thing ever invented to kid me but I haven't read them in a while so I don't know if they're actually like, good. I liked the atmosphere and the slightly antiquated way it was written. there are gay bits.
A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the most notorious Pyrates: From Their first Rise and Settlement in the Island of Providence to the present Time, with the remarkable Actions and Adventures of the two Female Pyrates Mary Read and Anne Bonny
or A General History of the Pyrates by "Captain Charles Johnson"
A good starting point. a lot of our pirate stories come from this book. it claims to be a true historical record, but I have my doubts. still fun though. I think this guy just wrote down every story he heard about pirates. it has illustrations.
Sodomy and the Pirate Tradition by B.R. Burg
not super historical but it doesn't really claim to be. basically it's just this guy going. "so... pirates fucked, right? like, there's no way they didn't." and then he's correct. I mainly wanted this book as a teenager because I loved the cover and the title but now it's in my brain forever. look at Blackbeard. look at his gay little pose
Pirate Enlightenment or The Real Libertalia by David Graeber
this is the one I'm reading right now and I love it so far. it's about pirates in Madagascar and the real-life version of the pirate utopia from general history of pyrates (it isn't real but it kind of is but not.) I like the writer, he's written other good things. he's obsessed with the enlightenment for some reason but you can easily ignore that.
On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers, which is kind of like a magical realism type thing. I think it's kind of what pirates of the Caribbean is based on. this is where I knew Stede Bonnet from
Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb, three books that are part of a fantasy series. these pirates are dicks to each other a lot but they are gay and their ships are alive.
Lost Boi by Sassafras Lowrey is a queer sort of modern version of Peter Pan. captain hook is in there and he's like a leather guy. not literally pirates, but still.
The Dawnhounds by Sascha Stronach is science fiction with queer pirates, a monkey god, and mushroom houses.

ASPBO Good and Evil Dichotomy
People like A Separate Peace better than Peace Breaks Out, but why is that?
Well here's my two cents. The first book takes place during the war, but before the boys are due to go. They are children holding onto what's left of their childhood before they die in battle or come out changed. Finny is the representation for all that is good and pure in the world; namely childhood purity and innocence. He implicitly trusts everyone and more importantly Gene, who kind of representatives the world. The tragedy in that book is that Gene's purity and the goodness in the world (Finny) is tainted and then destroyed by his own hand. Just as the world and these boys should have been able to live out their lives peacefully and happily, something always comes in and destroys it. Usually as a side effect of something else, like greed. Gene was so caught up in jealousy and his problems that he unknowingly destroyed what he thought was an indestructible force. He took Finny for granted and didn't realize the harm he was capable of until it was too late. The novel ends with Finny telling Gene that he forgives him and Gene forgiving himself; similar to the story of Pandora's Box where even after all the demons, there is still hope. He may have destroyed the peace, but that doesn't mean he took all the Finny out of the world.
ON THE OTHER SIDE Peace Breaks out starts from the point of view of one of those boys who went to war and came out changed, but the war is finally over. During the war it was easy to know one's enemy and assume that the war represented all the evil in the world, but then he meets Wexford, a child whose goal is to take control of everyone and cause mayhem. He represents the inherent evil in human beings, and he's so insidious that his maliciousness touches the hearts of all those around him and causes death and destruction, often without lifting a finger. Where Finny who was never given a last name represented childhood innocence, Wexford who only has a last name is the darker mature adult world. Finny possessed the quality of something immortal, while Wexford possesses something that cycles through hosts and places, never truly dying because it will always be reborn. Wexford rejects childhood in every way he can- he dresses in a grey suit (kids wear many colored suits but not gray according to 40s fashion history sites), he drinks alcohol and smokes, he is able to appear older than he is, and often frequents bars. The one thing that he, as hate instead of Finny's love can't understand, is romance and sex. He likes the idea of being in control, and unless all of the power in a relationship was with him, he can't stand the idea of being vulnerable or known by another. Gene was the accidental adult who killed his childhood, but here is a boy who purposely poses as an adult and plots to kill his childhood so that he can complete his transformation into something with all of the power in society. Finny didn't care about that- he was content to share his wins and losses and his entire heart with one person and make that his entire world. But where Finny, who is sunny and innocent is happy as himself, Gene and Wexford (and adulthood as a whole) recognize that there is a gaping hole in them, an unmissable hole. The older they get, the more distant their dreams and the nice illusions about the world fade away, and they're left to walk into the dark, full of trepidation and fear because they are aware that there really are monsters. This bothers Gene though, and he hides into himself not trusting anyone. Wexford instead decides to become the worst monster he can, so that all the other ones will be nothing compared to him. Gene is a follower where Wexford is a leader. (Actually I read a review on here that Wex was like a mix of Gene and Finny. Maybe this is what they meant. Gene saw god in Finny, Wex sees god in himself. He's Gene if Gene was a narcissist with Finny's confidence)Anyway, Pete realizes that evil is everywhere and cannot be killed, so he resigns himself to living in a world of monsters pretty much. So both stories share overlap, but there's plenty that's different. They're both cautionary tales. But one is about recognizing the evil in oneself and the other is about recognizing the evil in the world.

So i don’t remember when it was but there was this one post that got some folks, myself included, very confused about one of the recognized memes/gifs that’s used in reactions
This is the one in question, I think its been seen by most. What the confusing issue was, though, was the fact that she is holding a cupcake instead of a cup/mug
I remember being so confused and going “but!! I *swear* she had a mug” but staring at this “good for her” shows that it is in fact a cupcake
But for anyone who was confused, we aren’t completely incorrect in thinking she had a cup
In this other photoset from the same show, we have the classic “rich person doesnt know the cost of normal things” when thinking a banana costs $10. As you can see: there’s the cup!!! She has it here!
Both recognized images/gifs have her holding something, so I would argue that our brains assumed it was the same thing in each one since they both have the same actress, set location, and the character keeps the nearly exact same look/pose. Looking at both with a glance it makes sense for our minds to simplify what we know and assume to be there, hence thinking “good for her” has a cup.
Thank you for coming to my tedtalk
