Mr. Ajayi noticing Charlie’s hesitation when talking about Ben, so he puts his pen down and stops what he’s doing to let Charlie know he has his full attention

Charlie’s little giggle after Nick showed him how to play rugby

the little smile on Nicks face after seeing “x” at the end of Charlie’s thank you text to him

“You look… it looks great!”

Nick not being able to look at Charlie after he hugged him for the first time so he just turned around, said “see ya Monday,” and left

Nick’s singular tear when seeing his “62% Homosexual” quiz result

Isaac just not replying to the group chat and continuing to read his book, unbothered

Nick ready to absolutely lose his shit when Charlie said he ran into Ben at the party and then immediately going to the opposite end of the spectrum when Charlie said he defended himself

the smile on Charlie’s face after he pulls away from Nick before hugging him again when they’re sitting on his bed the morning after the party

everyone’s reactions when the St. John’s rugby team comes out on the field

Nick being breathless and Charlie’s little double blink after the kiss at the arcade

the stars reflecting on Elle’s glasses when she realizes she likes Tao

when Nick goes, “Oi!” after Charlie said, “I thought I was the one who said sorry too much.”

Tara’s knowing looks at Nick before he tells her he and Charlie are going out

the way Darcy looks at Tara when she’s talking to Nick about how being out is hard

I think my favorite thing about Fionna and Cake has to be how unapologetically queer it is. In every corner, whether it be a cameo appearance from the gay couple,

a quick visual cue/reference to the pilot,

a questionable line from Brian David Gilbert of all people,

or actually being integral to the primary or secondary plot.

Seeing such a casual yet important and beautiful inclusion of queerness in this show fills me with such indescribable joy. Without even trying, without even stepping away from it's own story, it's making a statement.

Without going out of its way, it's teaching genuine stories while saying "We are here, we have a place, we have a history, and we're here to stay."

Nico and Percy's dynamic through the series is eternally funny to me, because it's just. like.

Percy's having a constant mental struggle between his fatal flaw of loyalty with a promise he made to Bianca to protect Nico, versus his Big 3 kid desire to maim other Big 3 kids / Poseidon descendant urge to totally maim Nico specifically. He hates Nico so so much. He thinks Nico's annoying and weird at best, and creepy/sketchy when he's older. The only positive thoughts Percy has towards Nico are "He's Bianca's brother and Bianca was my friend and I owe her/He's Hazel's brother and Hazel is my friend and would kill me if I was mean to him," "He's a powerful asset and useful ally (if questionable)," and "He's kinda pathetic and I feel maybe a little bad about it." Percy has multiple occasions throughout the series where he strongly considers - and on one occasionally actually goes through with - throttling Nico.

Meanwhile, Nico is following around Percy like a lost puppy. He explicitly can never bring himself to even dislike anything about Percy no matter how hard he tries. He has a whole bit in BoO where he's mentally going "UGH he's so stupid BUT IT'S ENDEARING HOW DARE HE." He's totally smitten. He's making deals with his dad for Percy. He's making convoluted plans to help Percy stand a chance against Kronos. During the entirety of BoTL it's like he's playing tsundere - "I'm helping NOT PERCY SPECIFICALLY with this quest! Me helping Percy would be SILLY because I DEFINITELY HATE HIM." Then he proceeds to show up to Percy's birthday party to basically ask him on a weird date and spend the entire next book scrambling around trying to help him or protect him or impress him. And Percy could not give less of a shit.

Just. That dynamic is so funny to me. Percy is the founder of the Nico Protection Club in that he's the one they're all protecting Nico from and meanwhile Nico is throwing himself at Percy to the point where the literal god of gay love calls him out on it.

Anyways, lately I have been participating in events and projects, and in these events and projects, unfortunately it's become clear to me that my presence and name have only been used to attract the attention of my national and international community with the objective, as I see it, of generating more attention towards controversies - destructive controversies, and a rupture that is very clear in the community, and this is what I want to say: I'm NOT ok with these types of dynamics or stuff like this, and I want to make it very clear to my stream, my community, and everyone that, for this exact reason that I just mentioned, I want to make it clear that I want to distance myself and any of my projects from the Esland Awards, which you all know is coming up.

Sadly, the Esland Awards have been an event with a history of much controversy, a lot of division, and a lot of divisions within the community, and as you guys know, as you know, my content has never been characterized by seeking controversy or divisions or anything like that. It's for this exact reason that I don't want to be involved with these awards.

In advance, I ask the organizers of any type of events and projects like this to please show more respect to me and my community, because I've shown lots of sympathy and cooperation in these various projects and events, but it's become clear to me that their only interest is in using my name. maybe not a hot take but is anyone else like reluctant to get new atla content lmao. like the series is so genuinely incredible and the last time they tried to capitalise on that we ended up with The Movie and while i AM excited to have more conversation about atla and maybe even another renaissance (god ive seen what youve done for others... *is talking about the zukka renaissance of 2020*) im also very scared of what is going to be made canon. like a whole movie for zuko? you're gonna give that loser an entire movie now? he's going to canonically say a slur i just know it

Watched all available episodes of Sousou no Frieren yesterday and loved it, but as a German I am. baffled? perplexed? amused? at the choice to use German words for characters and places. Like not German names, but words that no sane German wold ever call someone or someplace. Like the protagonist being called "to shiver". Not a name that means "to shiver" but literally just the German verb frieren = to shiver.

Here's some of my favourite examples that male me laugh:

Graf Granat trusting a dude who literally calls himself Count Liar. also when he angrily shouts his name "Lügner!!!" all I could think was "Yeah, he sure is"

there's a place that literally is called door. It's called DOOR. Imagine calling your town or city. door. Who does that. I'm still not over that. I had to pause the episode to not choke on my drink

A town called "outermost".

one of the places is straight up called blanket

"Schwer mountains"??? heavy mountains??? I guess they are
