Positive post: I like math, it's cool and useful! The culture of blindly hating math is a problem in an increasingly anti-intellectual society. We need some revisions to the way it's taught to make it more accessible and relevant. In fact, an entire branch of science isn't arcane devil magic!

Every single post I've seen about enjoying math inevitably has at least one comment like this and it entirely misses the point on multiple levels. Would you say reading and literacy is ableist because some people have dyslexia? No, so leave math alone.

Not everyone can do higher dimensional calculus, but not everyone can read middle English or carve a marble statue either. The experts in each field find great beauty in what they study. Isn't the human spirit of exploration and creativity great?

Like... I use a cane, are athletes ableist because not everyone can participate? I have food allergies, is the dairy industry ableist? Is the sun itself ableist because I get migraines? My hands shake and make it impossible to create precise lines and painful to hold an instrument for more than one minute, is the entire field of visual arts and the community around artists ableist?

The rhythms of calculus and physics are as beautiful as a symphony or a poem or a painting, get out of my house

This is one of my favorite episodes and it's so funny to me because I think probably no one remembers this episode or cares that much about Alex missing in action T^T

But what can I say? Gene deserve to have his group of friends. Tina has her whole gang. Louise have Rudy, Millie, and the Pesto Twins (and Jessica in my delusional mind)

I love that the Belcher Family is so close, I personally have that kinda of relationship with my family, my sisters are my best friends.

Sun and Moon try not to kill their prey and only take the bear minimum amount of blood they need to survive. Eclipse drinks as much blood as he wants whenever he wants and doesn’t care if his victim dies. So I was curious, what’s Eclipse’s average body count for a week or a month? Since he has his own human farm, I’m guessing he goes through lots of people in a relatively short amount of time.

Oh man, it varies based on his mood and how much he feels like indulging

Personally I don't think Animation vs Math is connected to anything, and that's okay.

AvA1, AvA2, AvA3, and debatably AvA4 and the first AvM and every standalone "Animation vs" video were all made because Alan thought it would be neat. They didn't mean anything or have a point in some greater design until significance was retroactively applied to them years later.

He's allowed to still do that, even though he has multiple series now.

This video doesn't have to connect to AvA6 any more than AvPokemon or AvArcade or AvMario or any of the others have to connect with previous episodes of the main series. If you're expecting something on par with AvLeague, as far as continuity relevance, remember that that one's actually an exception to the norm XD

It’s been known that Poptropica and CoolMathGames are affiliated with each other. They made the announcement of the port months ago. What sucks is that they made the port with no real confirmation of date, it just happened one day and we had to accept it.

Poptropica not updating anymore clearly isn’t the fault of CoolMathGames, it’s Poptropica themselves. They haven’t been updating before the shutdown hoax and portover announcement, this just sealed the deal.

To counter my art slump I played around with a little "What if" with Keiki. What if the crew wasn't around to adopt him?

In this alternative universe, he was instead feared and they tried to eliminate him before he grew too big. They failed and instead created a fearful monster.

The Ocean Watch had lost track of the big beast a few weeks ago, keeping all sea travelers on their toes. 

Captain Boone was no stranger to navigate through the Serpent’s Isles, named after its high population of sea serpents. The serpents were nocturnal, making daytime travels perfectly safe.

Or so he thought.

An ominous rumbling and the distant crashes of waves brought the captain out of his daydream.  Soon it was followed by the fearful cries of his crew to look towards the cliffs.

For a delirious moment, it looked as though the ocean itself was rising into the sky. 

It kept rising. 

And rising.

The captain and the crew all came to the realization that it was a head, taller than the very cliffs around them. A cold, blue eye locked onto their ship; they had unknowingly stumbled upon the great beast. Boone struggled to take in its features, everything on its face was so absurdly large. 

How did he miss it sailing into the isles?

The beast pulled its lips up in a snarl. 

An overwhelming sound filled the air, the sheer volume of it making everyone on the ship cover their ears, the vibrations rattling their very bones. 

It went on for a few seconds before mercifully petering out. Able to gather his thoughts again, Boone realized that it had been a vocal warning from the beast. All reports from the Ocean Watch inform that the beast only offers a single warning before striking a ship down.

He immediately ordered his first mate to alter their course, praying to the gods that the beast would understand that they were heeding its warning and turning around.

The turning of the ship felt agonizingly slow for all of its occupants holding their breaths and watching the immense beast intently. The isles trembled as it adjusted itself ever so slightly, sending a hail of boulders tumbling into the ocean below. 

If the cliffs hadn’t been between the ship and the beast, the captain didn’t doubt that the waves resulting from the movement would capsize them. 

To all of their relief, the beast did nothing else but watch as their ship turned tails. Its lips went down over large fangs again but it kept the glare until they were little more than a speck in the horizon.
