Anyway here’s a couple desperately corruption coded songs that aren’t just about bugs

Shame by Mitski- dude. The everything about this song. You could definitely apply it to Jane with the “They're right outside the door and they don't know how it/ Feels so good” but it’s the instrumentals the violin just does a wonderful job of sounding anxious or like smth’s swarming

Angry sea by Mother Mother- This is mostly with the lyrics, the obvious references to disease and parasites not to mention it’s just a great song. Rlly good for if you’re looking for a corruption song that again isn’t just bugs

Ptolemaea by Ethel Cain- oh my GOD THE CORRUPTION SONG. Especially if you take into account that the corruption can manifest as toxic love. It’s hard to explain but it just feels so right and the sounds of FLIES IN THE BEGINNING??? I just relate it back to Jane so so much and it’s prefect

I think the friendship between zach and liz is underrated. I mean, ofc he's closer to bex, but his interactions with her is soooo cute.

Zach and Liz’s friendship does not get enough credit! It’s the literal definition of little sister/big brother friendship!

While Zach and Bex are like best buds, Zach and Liz have the whole little sister big brother vibes going on. When she’s in trouble, he definitely comes to her aid without a second thought. He’s the first to help her with research even though she’s a literal genius. He shares candy with her and plays games with her on their road-trip. It’s just so pure.
