1. I have been looking for this fic for WEEKS!! , I read this fic many months ago, so I don't really remember it well. In this Wei Wuxian is kinda like possessed or something, it's like after his 3 months in burial mounds he comes out very changed he has become very emotionless and has become mute as in he neve ever speaks at all, he always obeys his Sect Leader (Jiang Cheng) and has over all just become a machine who listens to what his master say. Jiang Change,Jiang Yanli and Lan Wangji are very concerned and disturbed about his behaviour. There are chapters where Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng try to cheer him up or make him speak something but it never works.And as u can imagine lan Wangji is heartbroken as well

Then i don't remember how exactly but in the end they show Jiang Yanli,Jiang Cheng,Lan Wangji,Nie Huasiang, and an unconscious Wei Wuxian in the burial mounds and it shows that the burial mound spirits had bargained with wei wuxian when he was thrown in and in order to escape from the burial mounds and to protect his family Wei Wuxian had sacrificed his heart to it. But in the end he regains it and he goes back to being normal. And it's an Overall happy ending.

7. Hiii!! I am looking for a fic I read a long time ago, so I don't remember most of the details. Sorry about that. What I remember about it clearly is that WWX was never found by Jiang Fengmian or any cultivator. Many years later he becomes a minister/official of some kind for the emperor, who is not related to the cultivation world. Now comes the fuzzy part, so it may or may not be helpful for finding that fic. The emperor knows when the war breaks out and sends WWX to help settle the war, and WWX once again becomes a leading cause for the demise of Wen Sect. And obviously WWX and LWJ fall in love during that time.

They were in university (LWJ in his 1st year and WWX in his last I think). The uni had a research facility studying a/b/o dynamics, or it might have been soulmates? Hello, I’ve been desperately looking for a particular fic but all I really remember is one scene, where after wangxian reunion and justice being served and all (at least I think that bit has already happened by that point of the fic), it turns out that Wen Qing survived after all but had been kept prisoner. I just remember this scene of her in her cell considering her imminent death because her meals have stopped for a some time already (since JGY is no longer around to provide them or something along those lines, but she doesn’t know that) and then she hears a familiar voice outside and she calls desperately despite barely having a voice and despairs for a moment thinking no one noticed but then WWX, who very much did hear her and was wandering around Koi Tower with Lan Zhan for some reason I can’t remember, brings down the entire prison around her and rescues her. I’m fairly certain there must have been a happy ending, because that’s all I ever read. I know it’s not a lot to go on but it’s been driving me insane trying to find it. WWX stans saying he would have been the best uncle and Jin Ling's favorite uncle like we didn't see the man see Jin Ling go through the most horrifying event in his life and witness his uncle (who was also one of his two guardians) painful, traumatizing death after the said uncle was dismembered and after some really earth-shattering truths being unraveled, and LEAVE THE BOY THERE CRYING WHILE STARING AT HIS UNCLE'S COFFIN to go fuck in the bushes with LWJ. Like not an hour after the incident, or even a quarter of an hour. no. right after that whole shitshow happened!

(And JL accusingly asked JC why he let them go! JL...my boy... the real question is why did THEY choose to go?! When WWX had a traumatized nephew & a literally and figuratively bleeding brother to take care of, and LWJ had a traumatized brother who seconds ago WAS WILLING TO DIE WITH JGY and LWJ hadn't yet made sure that LXC's willingness has ceased since!)

And then WWX didn't even go to check on JL after that! While JL was a 15 y/o sect leader dealing with the power vacuum left after the scandals of the previous sect leader who was also coincidentally the Xiandu, & going through a power struggle with one of the worst sects out there.

WWX asks after Jin Ling from the Lan Juniors instead of going to see him himself! When he next sees JL it's said that the news of his struggles had reached Wangxian in Gusu, meaning that WWX hadn't dropped by to check on JL to hear of these from JL himself and he hadn't dropped by to check in on him even after hearing these news! He was only there bc JL had invited the Lan Juniors for a field trip!

WWX shows his love with drastic, big, dramatic, sacrificial acts like giving his golden core to JC or transferring Jin Ling's curse to himself, but since he himself loves to run away from his traumas and his responsibilities, he's not someone who can be counted on to help his loved-ones with their traumas and responsibilities. He didn't do it with Jiang Cheng and he didn't do it with Jin Ling. He never even talked to Wen Ning about Wen Qing and the Wen Remnants. (Or how WN feels about being a zombie forcefully brought back to life in a world that hates and fears him)

Maybe diplomacy is not his strength and he'll only make things worse by trying to help JL with his sect leader duties, but it wouldn't have taken anything from him if he had only stayed by JL at least for the night after the Guanyin Temple, not even doing anything, but just being there. (And I understand that narratively it might have been a point in the story where some readers might want to see the main couple sail off into the sunset together, but all it would have taken for the main couple to be shown as less of a dick was adding a phrase like "the next morning..." or even "later that day" or something like that before writing about them disappearing into the sunset...or the bushes.)

I love Wei Wuxian, but post-resurrection Wei Wuxian was really...not particularly an ideal family member.

The hardest part of the adoption process was supposed to be endless paperwork and screenings and the anxiety of not being good enough to meet high standards of the court.

It wasn't supposed to be A-Yuan's first doctors appointment.

His pitiful screams fill the small doctor's office. He's clinging to Lan Wangji's shoulders like there a lifeline, hiding and all LWJ wants to do is bundle up his son and carry him back to safety.

But these are mandatory vaccines he needs in order to attend pre-k. So he cant.

Nurse: Shots are never fun at this age, huh He would beg to differ; they're never fun at any age But see lwj isnt afraid of the shots themselves. Hes terrified of the sight of blood. His BFF loves horror movies & he watches them with her bravely by staring at the corner of the tv

When lwj gets his blood drawn, he looks closes his eyes and imagines being in a cold pond somewhere. But he's never been afraid of just the shot before.

He's helpless in the face of his son's distress. The nurse sighs, saying theyll have to try again another day.

A-Yuan sniffles into his baba's shirt, exhausted from the crying fit. His eyes are still watery and he looks around the room with such fear in his eyes, before withdrawing back into the safety of his baba's chest.

Lan Wangji has no idea what to do, only cradles him closer

Thankfully, LWJ has someone who can help. His best friend, Jiang Yanli is a child therapist and has been helping him prepare his home for A-Yuan.

JYL is the only one allowed to call him Zhanzhan. In Uni she was the one who mentored him his first week of school. Someone slipped him alcohol and he got deliriously drunk.

Yanli-jie was the one who found him and took him home. This is what they told the cohort but actually…

JYL: seeing his Baba get a shot and be okay might motivate him to be more brave

LWJ certainly doesn't feel brave. He's thinking of the blood flowing from his veins and then LEAVING them to go who knows where. It sounds barbaric

LWJ: I am up to date on all my shots. How can I show him it is safe?

JYL: Hmm....I have an idea. My brother is a phlebotomist! He can help.

LWJ is confused. Last he heard, the younger Jiang is a prosecutor who makes a living viciously yelling in a courtroom.

JYL: Not him, Zhanzhan. My adoptive brother, A-Xian. I bet he would be happy to help you. He works at the blood bank at Yiling Clinic! The perfect exposure!

For who?, LWJ wonders. A blood bank sounds like a house of horrors to him. And a person who chooses to stick a needle in people and remove the very force that gives them life? He cannot imagine getting along with this person at all.

Yiling Clinic is a community clinic in a part of town Lan Wangji has never been to, especially since the Gusu Group has their own private hospital.

But this is where Yanli-jie's phlebotomist little brother works.

A-Yuan clings to the back of his legs as they approach the receptionist, a young man with amazing cat eye makeup named Mo Xuanyu

These two definitely do not fit the bill for their usual patients, with their designer clothing, so he asks with some skepticism: Um, can I help you?

LWJ has spent the last two hours siking himself up for the blood part, he isn't prepared at all for social interactions. He flounders like a fish.

LWJ: …I am…We are here for…

A shout comes from behind them: Ah! A-Yu, is that A-jie's friend? Zhanzhan?

LWJ flinches until he sees a man sprinting towards them. The 1st thing he notices is this man is wearing lilac scrubs with little white rabbits on them.

The 2nd thing he notices is this man has the most enchanting smile he's ever seen. Already, LWJ feels more relaxed.

The man winks at him: You like the scrubs? A-jie said A-Yuan liked bunnies, I figured this would help keep him calm.

LWJ does not blurt I like bunnies too. But only just.

Beside the man is a pediatric nurse named Wen Ning, no relation, who says he's here to help with A-Yuan

Yanli-jie's little brother, the phlebotomist, introduces himself: Ah! Sorry, Lan Zhan. Jiejie always calls you that so it just stuck. I'm Wei Wuxian. You can call me Wei Ying if you wanna make it even.

Strangely, LWJ feels no need to correct him: Lan Zhan is fine, Wei Ying.

WWX smiles so brightly, LWJ feels dizzy with it.

WWX: Now where's the little bunny himself?

A-Yuan has been clinging behind LWJ's pant leg, tilting around just enough to peek with one eye at this strange gege.

WWX: Maybe not a rabbit then, a radish who likes to hide away!

A-Yuan becomes offended: I don't like radishes!

WWX laughs: Me neither! But Qing-jie says they help us grow big and strong, so they can't be all that bad huh?

WWX is crouched in front of A-Yuan, draping both arms across his knees and resting his chin in one hand. He waits.

LWJ admires his patience. The longer WWX waits, crouched and rocking back and forth in front of A-Yuan, smile gently and welcoming, the more A-Yuan's natural curiosity gets the better of him.

Eventually, his son comes out from behind his leg to touch a black bunny on his sleeve

A-Yuan: I like this one. We only have a white bunny at home.

WWX: I like the black bunny too! What's your bunny's name?

A-Yuan: Banana, bc she tries to eat Baba's banana every morning, and you are what you eat.

He recites this with all the solemnity a 4 yo could possess

WWX's laughter echoes through the lobby: Well! You're very right, A-Yuan. Maybe you aren't a radish after all then. Tell me, what do little boys eat?

A-Yuan: I'm not little! I'm 4 and a half!

WWX: Right, right, I sincerely apologize for my mistake. What do big boys eat then?

A-Yuan purses his lips and taps his chin, pondering his question carefully: Hmm… jelly beans?

WWX looks like he wants to laugh more, but instead says: I see, I see. Thank you for your wisdom A-Yuan.

He looks up at LWJ, dark eyes dancing. LWJ's heart rabbits against his chest

WWX: If your baba is ready, we can head down to my cave if you'd like. I have a lot of cool machines I'd love to show you.

A-Yuan's eyes widen into saucers as he gasps: A cave? Wowww

They grin conspiratorially at each other, before turning bright eyes up at LWJ

LWJ feels warm and much more relaxed inside, so he nods: Mn. We may go.

A-Yuan cheers and holds WWX's hand as the head downstairs.

LWJ trails behind making small talk with WN, watching WWX and A-Yuan swing their hands and skip ahead, feeling something warm blossom in his chest.

The hallway to Wei Wuxian's lab isn't anything like Lan Wangji expects.

The rooms at Gusu are all perfectly pristine and sterile, painted white to promote serenity, rest, and healing.

For one thing, he'd raided a Halloween store at some point and hung up all sorts of decorations, mostly vampire themed. There's one that's says "I vant to suck your blood!" except suck is crossed out and replaced with "donate". Wwx and A-yuan giggle together at wwx's fake accent

It's definitely not up to Gusu General's strict standards. For one thing, there're beanbag chairs in the hall outside. Wwx says it's to feel more comfy while others wait, as he's the only phlebotomist on staff and it can take a while. A-Yuan personally tests each one.

His lab is…adequate if far too small. There's a desk that's overrun with stacks of papers and textbooks and a shelf that's filled with even more. The actual space where blood is drawn is, thankfully, sterile and clean. Though he's decorated with demons demanding blood for food

There's a temp controlled room where the blood is stored, with a red door and the words "Blood Pool" written in menacing barely legible font

Despite the…interesting decor, the room is homely and, surprisingly, welcoming. A-Yuan at least is having a very fun time getting a tour

Wwx patiently answers all of A-Yuan’s questions, even the endless why's, with utmost sincerity, even when his answers are purely nonsense.

Lwj can't stop the fond smile from lifting the corner of his lips. A-Yuan had never warmed up to a medical professional so fast.

He's pulled from his musings when A-Yuan grabs his sleeve: Baba! Blood-gege says this machine makes blood spin around!

Wwx burst out laughing: Blood-gege? I love it!

Lwj is enchanted, head repeating those last 3 words again and again as wwx fondly ruffles A-Yuan's fluffy hair

Wwx: alright, now that you're familiar with my beauty Chenqing (referring to his bloody spinny machine lwj does not want to think about), shall we get down to business?

He says this with his bright dark eyes glittering at LWJ. Right. The blood donating part.

Lwj gulps, nodding. A prisoner walking up to the gallows.

The fight with the dick head (literally) Tortoise of Slaughter (solid naming decision) goes great, but Zack succumbs to the infection he undoubtedly got from SWIMMING WITH AN OPEN WOUND AND PROBABLY BROKEN RIBS, THEN RUNNING AROUND THE FESTERING INNARDS OF A TORTOISE OF SLAUGHTER.

Sure, the evil sword energy probably didn't help, and I'm sure canon is saying "um, actually" as we speak, but come on, Zack. The magic grass you packed into your boo's leg wound next to the weirdly short, unsanitary sticks was limited.

three ships: Oof, this question is always some straight-up Sophie's Choice shit. How do you choose just three when you've been in a thousand fandoms across 20+ years? At the moment, it's probably Dean/Castiel (the evergreen ship, amirite?), Brad/Nate (I'm having my like 5th Gen Kill renaissance since it first aired in 2008), and Bulma/Vegeta (always close to my heart). Wei Wuxian had yet to kill anyone in this death game, but the moment he could get his hands on Wen Chao, he’d wring his neck. He wouldn’t use his sword or any talismans, anything from his stats. Only his raw strength. He’d make him feel all the artificial pain until it burned.

His health bar wasn’t looking like he’d get a chance to confront Wen Chao, however.

It looked disappointingly like he was going to die in this boss fight. At least Jiang Cheng and the others had made it out. They could retry this fight after they’d gone a couple levels up. Wei Wuxian had no idea whether the level reset once they die, but if it didn’t, maybe he should empty out his storage, not that he had anything particularly useful in there.

“How are you, Lan Zhan?”

His companion sat as still as he had for the last hour. His health bar was only slightly better than Wei Wuxian’s, courtesy of Gusu’s stat boost the sect’s members got whenever they adhered to their rules or something, Wei Wuxian honestly didn’t know. Yunmeng came with a wicked weapons’ skill he’d abused nearly to the point of breaking game mechanics.

Maybe he should’ve gone with the Nie to get their berserker skill. That could’ve saved them, maybe.

“Lan Zhan,” Wie Wuxian called out again. “Are you done ignoring me yet?”

Lan Zhan exhaled. “I have not been ignoring you.”

Score!

Wei Wuxian grinned. “That’s what it looked like from here. So, you got a plan for how you want to spend your last hours?”

Lan Zhan’s face twitched only barely. You had to hand it to Wen Crop., they knew their shit. The neural transfer was near perfect.

“We will not die here.”

“We’re more than just a couple missions away from getting enough experience to fight the Xuanwu of Slaughter,” Wei Wuxian replied drily. “While I think Yunmeng’s motto is very encouraging, I’m not an idiot.”

No, they’d die here, in a plot irrelevant side-mission because fuck Wei Wuxian especially, apparently.

A whole year of this hell already and this was how Wei Wuxian would die, stuck in a terrible cave with a worse monster, without ever hugging his family close again. He wanted to cry, but the reaction wouldn’t do anything to fix his mental state.

“We can make up the lack of experience,” Lan Zhan said.

Wei Wuxian blanked. “What?”

Lan Zhan looked into the direction of the Xuanwu of slaughter before nodding confidently. “Marriage.”

Usually, Wei Wuxian found Lan Zhan’s carefully curated sentences hilarious, but he wasn’t following. “What do you mean?”

“Marriage allows spouses to share a skill,” Lan Zhan elaborated and activated his menu, pulling guqin strings from his storage.

Yeah, Jiang Cheng knew that. The ability sounded better than it was however, because it essentially only allowed one partner to borrow a skill while the other had to go without—

Oh.

“My weapons’ proficiency,” Wei Wuxian said. “You want it to what? Enhance the strings?”

“I think with the boost, my chord assassination could do significant damage.”

It was absolutely insane. Wei Wuxian exceled and these types of games because he had great instinct and was pretty quick at his math. He could calculate in a split second how much damage he’d need to deal and running his numbers, he could only come to one conclusion.

“It won’t be enough,” Wei Wuxian said. “Not that alone.”

“Mn.” Lan Zhan looked like he was waiting for the other shoe to drop, which wasn’t fair at all. Wei Wuxian enjoyed being a step ahead. “You can use my purification bonus.”

Right, that was what Gusu granted him. Pretty useful on nighthunts, even if slightly too defensive for Wei Wuxian’s tastes.

Still, laughter bubbled up his throat. “Sure, we can try that. Until death does us part, Lan Zhan?”

Lan Zhan grimaced, as much as Lan Zhan deigned to show such an expression anyway, and sent the marriage request. The pop-up window looked like a joke, all hearts and cutesy bunnies kissing. It was a miracle that Lan Zhan had sent a request like that. Wei Wuxian shuddered to think what the other marriage request pop up windows looked like if Lan Zhan chose that one.

“You can’t divorce me after this,” Wei Wuxian said. “We’d end up with a month-long penalty.”

“Wei Ying.”

“Yes?”

“Accept the request.”

wangxians parenting style when it comes to toddlers and teens are really top notch. not even as parents, but even as something akin to parental or mentor figures. with toddlers they make sure to take them out to play, teach them some things here and there, play some more, feed them snacks and a meal, and generally have a good time. with teens its the same, and teens feel comfortable around them compared to most adults. wei ying likes to learn about the weird things the younger generation are into, and give long tangents about random things when theyre supposed to be learning this or that. if wei ying gets on to them about something they can just turn to lan zhan who just spoils them with shopping sprees. theyre both awesome adults the younger generation can turn to, and smart enough to be able to help with any subject on their homeworks or projects. wangxian likes to make up fun activities for everyone to partake in, maybe board game nights or playing basketball all together, and the teens will always be guaranteed to have a fun time

wangxians parenting when it comes to BABIES though… now THATS a different story. especially if theyre first time parents. its different from mentoring young kids bc now they have a full blown responsibility to take care if a little thing that can hardly potty by itself. every five minutes one of them is calling their pediatrician freaking out over something silly (“oh my god i forgot to feed him an hour ago” “he keeps burping and i dont know why” “why is he crying i changed his diapers i put on cartoons”) they become extreme worrywarts and dont get a moments rest for a few years. they do improve after the first kid when they get the second, but the extreme worriness doesnt go away either

Just finished twelve moons and a fortnight. It took almost a week and a lot of emotions. Beware of spoilers!! This is essentially a live blogging of it

I AM BACK ! and more prepared to read this than ever. I think I went long enough that I only remember 3 or 4 major bits from this (meishan yu, the amalgamation of all the dead from lotus pier before the sunshot campaign began and wei ying seeing them as acting sect leader, lxc healing a-Qing [which still hurts my soul,,,,its taking from. His life force :((] and if im not wrong, copious letters)

The rest though may be the same as if I was to Iread it for the first time and im looking forward to it.

I have my notes app on the side while I read this bc I am a serial binge reader and need sth to hold onto my thoughts before j forget them, it has happened way too many times ans I end an incoherent mess at every fix when this happens. BUT!! I want to really show how much I love this and I like being detailed. So if this end up crossing the character limit i am not sorry.

This entire conversation has made me scream inside my head and brought a raging melancholy I stopped breathing for a second.

"What will a mother not say out of worry, when she fears for the lives of her children?” barks the deputy. “Mine has said worse, I assure you! She could have kept you with her to fight, she knew your brother would meet Jiang-zongzhu and Jiang-guniang within hours of his departure—there was no need for you to go with him! She sent you away for your sake just as much as for Sect Leader’s, and I wonder how with your wit you took so long to realize it!”

ive been in all sorts of shipping fandoms from sterek to WangXian. And there are always a few persons who think the actors are secretly dating in real life or secretly lgbtq but the delusional hysteria in the destiel/cockles corner takes the cake. I just assumed that the majority of them are young and gullible but damn even back when I was 17 and shipping J2 I didn't actually BELIEVE they were together together. these idiots need to get off the internet for a year or two.

3 ingredients went into Destiel/Cockles' delusional hysteria:

The longevity of the show kept the hope up that this season will be the season their ship will become canon even right up to the finale (because bibros got their finale in 15x19)

During the show's record-breaking longevity Misha was feeding their hope that the ship can and will become canon

Kink shame over their fetish

It's the main reason why they can't stop crying over the finale two years later because they spend over a DECADE emotionally invested, not to mention the ungodly amount of money they spent that most of them couldn't afford to spend because they still need a "win" to show for all their DECADE worth of commitment.

Cockle ship happened because sane Destiel shippers knew they weren’t even getting Destiel subtext on the show (they don’t subscribe to “bi-color secret message bullshit) so they went after Cockles and trying to prove Jensen and Misha are friends/besties/lovers. Because they noticed that non-shippers were siding with Wincest shippers because Jared and Jensen have a weird close friendship in real life. That’s why they are so desperate to somehow prove Jensen/Misha’s friendship is real or even are secret lovers because then they can say they see Destiel because of their friendship/lovers, not because of the show that doesn’t give them text or subtext for their fetish ship.

From there Cockle tinhatters produced conspiracies like Catholic rabbits. Here, let me show you how the Cockle tinhatters’ mind operates:

-For the one hour that Jensen was talking about Jared he was really talking about Misha because he looked down for 5 seconds and that is code for Misha because he has 5 letters in his name.

-Jensen uprooted and dragged his family halfway across the country to live less than a mile from Jared because he’s totally in love with Misha but instead he’s going to stalk Jared to cover up his feelings.

-Whenever Misha looks tired (which, to be honest is all the time), it means he’s missing Jensen. When ever Misha strokes Jared’s hair (which, to be honest we all want to do), it means he’s thinking of Jensen.

-A bug landed on Misha. The bug was identified as Delusionex Hilarius and has blue and green stripes. Obvious case of color coding for Cockles.

I don't think so! I tend to write fics that help fix whatever issue it is I'm writing about. I HAVE made myself cry before at unexpected things, though.

⌛ How long does it take you to write a fic, or a chapter?

When it comes to fic, I'm a pretty fast writer - I can, at times, churn out about 3k over 1.5 hours, and as I usually write every day, that adds up very quickly! This is why I was once (affectionately) called a bot by someone, when I was churning out fic after fic of Wangxian.
