I fucking took a hiatus for like over a year and now I got fucking roped back in by like 500 things all at once psychically sending messages into my head that said "oooh you want to die play mmos again ooooh you want to krill yourshellf put 1000 more hours into ffxiv again so bad ooooh" and they fucking worked, first Tetris and now this shit it's so joever. I can stop it before it gets too bad this time tho, none of my friends play XIV anymore and/or I don't talk to the ones that still do now I can't possibly put 10,000 hours into an MMO while doing only solo content that would be ridiculous (I can, I 100% can, very easily in fact and have done so before).

Like if it were like $15 instead that would still be ridiculous but it would be like ridiculous within reason enough that I'd be able to convince myself it's maybe worth it but not $30

One thing I've realized I need to outgrow is an expectation/desire that people would love me in the same way I love them. I've always craved deep down to find a sort of mirroring of my own brand of love and affection (because the absence of it felt like perhaps there's no love at all). While there must be a reciprocity in effort and enough compatibility, I now believe that most people have their own personal way to express and live love, so looking for an exact copy in return is not only unrealistic but often fails to recognize the value in the other being genuinely themselves and authentic in what they give.

#i am intense and fixated so it's a LOT to feel when it's not met with returned obsession #but i am a bit dysregulated so it's not in fact The Best and Strongest way to love #i now realize that trying to find that exact intensity in others made me find dysregulation and toxic stuff instead #the promise of something healthy lasting and NOT passionate to the point of constant churning is incredibly appealing and soothing now
