My ranking of every Hazbin Season 1 Song, (purely based on how much I like them for whatever reason)
Starting With:
16. Welcome To Heaven:
St. Peter pisses me off. Idk if it's his voice or whatever, but he's annoying and unnerving and I hate it. :((((
15. It Starts With Sorry:
This was originally bottom of the list, before i remembered tht Welcome to Heaven exists. I think it's a cute song, sure, but it's just...meh. It's kinda lost when its surrounded by other bangers, and especially when it's preceeded by Stayed Gone - it had no chance. I love Pen, but this isn't it for me
14. Whatever It Takes:
If I had a nickel for every time a musical series had and wasted JAMES MONROE IGLEHART, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice (the other time is Tangled the Series)
Seriously though, when it's just Carmilla singing, this song is great, it's powerful and passionate. Then Vaggie starts singing. And don't get me wrong, I think Stephanie is a great voice actress and singer, but from the start I just didn't like her as the voice of Vaggie. It seems off to me, and it feels even worse here. Great song, but I think this is a person preference sort of thing bringing it down :(
13. Happy Day In Hell:
Opening song, pretty good. I was planning on using this as a sort of middle ground for the rest of the songs, but once you get into it, it's clear that while it's good, so many other songs are better, sadly. It is such a fun song, and I love the background voices, they're fun. Plus the little tempo change is cute halfway through, I like it a lot. It just doesn't hold up in comparison to the rest of the soundtrack
12. More Than Anything Reprise
Cute little thing right before the end, it's sweet and I'm glad that Charlie and Vaggie are good again. It suffers the same issue as Happy Day in that while it's good, there are other greats. It wins over it because I like the vocals here, and the change in the music from the original More Than Anything is neat.
11. Hell Is Forever:
My boyfriend is very very bummed that I put this one this low. I like this song, but again, there are others I like so much more. Adam is a dick, Alex does a fantastic job voice acting, and I do like the way he emphasises bits like 'pearly gates' its neato. Plus the whole 'guitar solo' bit is fun :))
10. Out for Love:
The first listen, I thought it was meh. As I relistened, it just got better and better. Idk who voices Carmilla but she is FANTASTIC, the mix of the guitar and the heavy beat, and her sining/speaking on beat is good. As well as the bit where the music stops for a second before the second chorus. Fabulous stuff honestly, if being an Overlord doesn't work out for Carmillia she could become a singer instead like holy shit.
Also this is the second Carmilla/Vaggie song... the whole Carmilla was from Heaven theories are looking stronger by the minute
9. Poison:
Shit. Banging song. Blake does such an AMAZING JOB>?!?!?!?! Like holy fuck what a banger. I like this song, the way it's used in the show is brilliant, the ENDING?????? OMG. The bits around "Anyway you want me baby thats the way you got me baby" Are my faves, like those longer notes are so good ffrrrrrrr. I very like this song.
8. Respectless:
GIRLLLLLLL????? VELVETTE?????!!!??!?! OMG BABY GET IT. Vox is my fav V but shit Velvette is such that Bitch fr. This song is so fun, she's so right, and Unpopular Opinion- I think her voice is absolutely perfect for her charcter. Couldn't imagine her without her shitty little british accent. Also Velvette changes clothes every Ep; such a fun detail
7. More Than Anything:
Screaming, kicking my legs, giggling JEREMY JORDAN SBF HIBDBB:VHIBDHF I LOVE HIM HE PUTS HIS WHOLE SOUL INTO EVERYTHING HE DOES AND THIS IS NO DIFFERENT
such a sweet, genuine song, i love hearing them realise that they really love each other and learn about each other, I love the duet at the end, I love charlies solo bit, the fucking "Apple doesn't fall far" sbdfbhhb'bvofvj ADOREEEEEEE Such a cute song FR kisses
6. Finale:
So many elements here that are just *chefs kiss* JEREMY JORDAN I WANT TO KISS YOU. The gang all singing together is just so fucking cute, Vox and Val are Gay and Canon and theyre so cute thinking they're gonna rule Hell T-T - I need to see how Vox reacted to Al not being dead. AND SPEAKING OF: AL's VERSE???? SIRRRR?? ARE YOU OKAY??? mans was loosing it frrr (i also wanna kiss him on the forehead and put him to bed) (Some one pointed out that he doesn't have his staff in the last moments of the song) (also it's cute that he headed back to his radio shack to breakdown, babe really said 'safe space')
5. You Didn't Know:
We all knew this was gonna be this high up, WHAT A BANGER?????? I adore Sera's voice, it's so good, and Lute singing?? get it girl. And we all know the 'Hell is Forever' Reprise is absolute PEAK soooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking good. ANd the end??? ADAM YOURE A CUNT but also Drama ✨✨✨
4. Stayed Gone:
NFBHBH{B@OUFE@OF Alastor and Vox are two of my fav fiction men Types: Suave sassy cunts with way too much power (with fun voice effects for extra Style)
Seriously this song really outlines them so well??? Like Vox is desperate for control, hence the fucking new's cast, and he's erratic and insane, trying his best to make absolutely sure that his viewers stay his viewers, instead of pivoting to Radio. In contrast, Al is still and calm, staying in one place while Vox flicks all over the place through his screens. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE END PART He really went Sicko Mode to bully a man after 7 years of ignoring him, FUck i love Alastor
3. Loser, Baby:
Need more be said? It's Loser, Baby, it has it all. Smooth vocals, fun jazz, cute choreography, a dancable beat, a wonderfully approachable message (my bf got worred that i liked it so much because he thought it was concerning at first, but it's so comforting to be told, 'hey we're all fucked, let's be fucked together 😊'
Blank and Keith work so beautifully together vocally that if we don't get another duet in S.2 imma riot I swear.
also "They're fucking singing???" GOLD
This song put Husk right into my top 3, only for Ep 5 to push him righ to Number 1(*)
2. Hell's Greatest Dad:

IS A FUCKING MASTERPIECE

Seriously tho, an electrojazz duet between Al and Lucifer was such a gorgeous idea whoever made this song needs a fucking RAISE the differences in their music while they're soloing, only for it to 'clash' when Lucifer brings out the fiddle (yes its a fiddle, not a violin)
(also violin and piano are complimentary intruments, so while its not a violin, it's still neat to know that they still work 'together' as they hate each other)
The end with Mimzy?? Funny, I liked it. I hate mimzy, she's annoying and she's bound to return, but yeah, I liked her interuption as her intro, it's fitting. Also Lucifer's little 'who' at the end makes me giggle.

I quite like this song. In case you couldn't tell by the way it's No.1. Its a mix of the vocals being FUCKING GORGEOUS, the changes in style as the song goes on 'come on boys hop in the saddle' IMMA KISS ERIKA. Also the way the Cannibals get on board so fast is so funny, their verse is so fun
And don't get me started on ROSIEjf bhfb'au#bf'h[bfb#ru "That's enthusiasm darling" I LOVE HERRRRRRRRR
Her and Al are so sweet, thier little verse at the end is lovely. I think in trying to convince Rosie to trust Charlie, Al accidentally realised how much he cares about her 🤭
You can tell how much I like each song as I slowly loose my sanity as the list goes down 😅

1.) A canon divergence fic where when Porsche calls Porchay in the Side Story/Ep 7, he decides to tell Porchay the truth and bring him to the main family house. I just really want to play with the idea of Chay trying to keep a secret from Kim but Kim knows the truth but if Kim calls him out then Chay will know that he was lying. 2.) A fic where the Kittisawad's and the Theerpanyakul's grew up together. And Chay leaves for a year and half to study abroad and when he comes back Kim has a crisis because "oh no chay got HOT" 3.) a part three to my virginity series where Kim bottoms for the first time. 4.) a fic where I project my thirst for Kim's fighting skills onto chay. 5.) A fic im calling "Everyone's Oh Moment" where the main cast all realizes how serious Kim and Chay are about each other. 6.) an untitled fic where so far it's just Porchay and Porsche finally actually talking about their issues. 7.) an abo fic with omega kim and alpha chay (don't judge me I'm being bullied (lovingly) into writing it).

2, 5, 8, 19 & 25 for the end of year tv shows asks!
2. Favorite TV show you’ve watched/discovered this year.
-I'm gonna exclude Bad Buddy from this bc only the last few eps aired this year and say A Tale of Thousand Stars and Triage. I actually put off watching ATOTS for a bit bc the plot synopsis on MyDramaList didn't really interest me but boy was I wrong about that initial first impression bc it's now my number 2 fav BL, closely after Bad Buddy. Rich college boy almost dies, gains a new perspective on life, and decides to go teach in a poor village and meets and falls in love with another guy there. Lots of pining, staring and fated romance ensues and creates a story so romantic and emotionally moving, helped by Earthmix's incredible chemistry. It's the BL to me that feels most like reading a really good romance novel. What's not to love? Triage is now my number 3 fav BL (topping WOH, which surprised me bc I didn't think that I'd be moving WOH from that spot for a good while). Resident doctor gets trapped in a time loop and can't get out until he saves the life of a rich college boy, and in the process, falls in love with him of course. However while trying to do so, the resident doctor discovers that this may not be that simple as he begins to uncover a whole conspiracy that's been happening right under his nose. I've been hyperfixating on this show for months now and still am (although I think Never Let Me Go coming out in a little over a week might pull me out of that bc I'm already going feral over that show). It's time loop medical drama romance with murder and corrupt higher ups and it's also basically a spinoff of Manner of Death since they take place in the same universe and this show sets up the plot of Manner of Death's sequel, Transplant. Tin and Tol are my blorbos who I would die for and I'm so happy that they got to have their happy ending after the hell they went through to get it (They better have a cameo in Transplant where they're just vibing like Tanbun's cameo in Triage). Honestly I've already said so much about this show these past few months so I'll just leave it at that before I start writing a dissertation about how much I love this show. Am just gonna add that I'm very mad about AIS Play for making this show basically impossible for international fans to watch legally. I hope they make this show more accessible to international fans sometime in the near future especially since it's gonna be necessary to watch this before watching Transplant.
5. Favorite ship you discovered this year.
-Tian and Phupha from A Tale of Thousand Stars and Tin and Tol from Triage. Village gays and time loop gays my beloveds <3 (Also thank you P'Aof for giving Phutian back to me next year even if it's just for an ep!!! ATOTS special ep let's go!!!!!)
8. A ship that finally got (back) together this year.
-Erin and James from Derry Girls!!! I'm so happy that Season 3 confirmed that they were each other's endgame romances. Oh, and also while this hasn't aired yet, it's gonna start and finish airing by the end of the month, so also Lyra and Will from His Dark Materials. I know their romance doesn't really last that long because I've read the book but it's still going to be incredibly sweet and heartbreaking while it lasts.
19. A TV show that shouldn’t have been cancelled this year.
-First Kill. FUCK Netflix for cancelling this show when it literally had the views! Netflix hates sapphics and it shows.
25. Rec me a TV show I should watch next year!
-Hm, well I'd obviously recommend Triage to everyone bc it's truly one of the best BLs of the year and it's criminally underrated. I'd also recommend GMMTV's The Gifted and The Gifted: Graduation bc they're just so good. It's a series about a school with a program where they basically train kids with superpowers. Nanon Korapat plays the main protagonist and he's absolutely INCREDIBLE in it. It's not a BL but there is definitely something gay going on between Nanon and Chimon's characters, especially in The Gifted: Graduation.

Writing Like Ourselves Tag Game

This was certainly an interesting one!
1. what's your Shire? as in: what's a place you remember fondly and love? (or: some place you hated, some place vivid to you, etc.)
This is....difficult, because the place I remember fondly and love either A. I’ve never actually BEEN to so I have no REAL memories of it, or B. Doesn’t exist! It’s a fictional place!
I guess it’s like, the fictional settings in the movies, tv shows, video games, books, etc. I loved as a kid left a bigger impact on me than real life. I don’t know if that’s sad or not, or just a result of being neurodivergent. The Pacific Northwest coastal town setting of the movie Free Willy, the undersea world of The Little Mermaid, the beautiful palace of Agrabah in Aladdin, or the world of Pokemon, and exploring the different magical realms of Spyro the Dragon are much more vivid to me than any REAL place I’ve been too. And even in more recent years, the fictional world of Pandora in James Cameron’s Avatar is just straight up MY AESTHETIC AND VIBE!!! The animal designs, the floating mountains, the bioluminescent jungle, AH, I just love it so damn much!
It’s not as if real life was horrible growing up, but it was....bland. And for some I guess a bland life is nice enough. But it didn’t really leave a major impact on me.
2. what is your Hobbit culture? as in: values were you brought up in, culture you grew up with, etc.
Uhhh.... I can’t really remember my family inputting any major values in my life. I grew up in North Texas, so I GUESS whatever culture you’d call that? I dunno, because I’m a white American it’s hard to think of myself as even HAVING a culture!
The only major values I can think of are more along the lines of the Golden Rules we were taught as children. You know, basic manners, be kind and respectful to each other, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”, etc etc. Just....you know, BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING, don’t be an asshole!
3. who is your Tom Bombadil? as in: a character you loved as a child, in existence or from your imagination, a figure that took place in a lot of your play, etc.
Well, for starters the different Disney Princesses during the Disney Renaissance, but ESPECIALLY Princess Jasmine. Like, there was a phase in my early childhood I wanted to BE Jasmine, I wanted to be called Jasmine, and wouldn’t even answer to my actual name. I wore my Jasmine costume all the time outside of Halloween, I had Jasmine dolls, a plushie of her tiger Raja. So I’d definitely say her. And she’s still my fav Disney Princess.
But also I KNOW that the seed for my love of the trope where an anti hero character redeems themself and dies a hero  was planted by the episode “Code of Hero” of Beast Wars. Dinobot’s death STILL gets me to this day!
4. what are your elves and dwarves? as in: something you studied or know a lot about, something you can geek out about, etc.
I guess animal facts, dinosaurs, mythology, and cats I guess. Like, I’m by no means anywhere near an expert at any of these subjects, I don’t even have a degree in anything. I just like learning about this stuff.
5. what are your middle earth languages? as in: something you have expertise in due to a career, a hobby, something you love, etc.
Uh, like I said above, I’m not an expert in anything. I just have some broad knowledge on misc. subjects. I even hesitate to say i’m a “jack of all trades”. I keep having people say I’m “so smart” in whatever subject they allow me to mildly infodump about, but I guess that’s just because they themselves don’t know much about the subject.
6. what are your themes? as in: something you've grown up knowing, like loss, something you know intimately, something you know because of your area/history/ time/era, etc.
Uuuuuh.... I’m drawing a huge blank here, sooooo.... I don’t know if there’s anything? Sorry 🤷‍♀️
7. what is your moral of the story? as in: a guiding value, a life motto, faith/spirituality, etc.
Well, of course, DON’T BE AN ASSHOLE! You have nothing to gain from being mean, hateful, cruel, etc. Especially with all forms of bigotry on the rise (or at least more exposed with an online presence.) And bigots have no place in this world.
Be kind, help and support each other, don’t just take, gotta give back too.
Also, progress is progress. Even if it’s just a liiiiiiiitle bit. Baby steps are still progress. Gotta crawl before you stand, gotta stumble before taking a baby step, gotta walk before you can run, etc etc. And I think a lot of people forget this, especially concerning any progress made in society.

From what I've seen, S1 is somewhat controversial, fans either love it or hate it. In retrospect, I enjoy rewatching it more than I did the first time because it feels nostalgic to revisit the characters back when they were young and naive and things were much simpler than they become in S2 onwards. Angel (1x7) and Prophecy Girl (1x12) are fan favorites for sure. And I know a lot of people dislike Teacher's Pet (1x4) and The Pack (1x6). I have a soft spot for Out of Mind Out of Sight (1x11) because iirc it's the first episode that shows us that there's more to Cordy than meets the eye (and btw, if you enjoy her character, she's the female lead of ATS, so that's another reason to watch it!)
I've seen it said that s1 is too campy or whatever and sure, it can be, but I give it the 1997 benefit of the doubt and I actually quite enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll back on it differently once I've seen all seasons but to me it's not much different from Doctor Who series 1 and that was almost a decade later with about the same special effects and campiness. And I love series 1! Ninth Doctor ftw.
I feel like I actually preferred the monster of the week eps over ones that got back to the overarching plot of The Master and even over the Angel one. Don't get me wrong, they were interesting to watch but Angel's ch and backstory are quite predictable from a modern lens and the overarching plot of season 1 is meh. Maybe it's because modern TV is so serialized but I find the monster of the week format refreshing and I thought the ideas were interesting enough, for the most part. Always a bit of mystery, a bit of horror, and a bit of lit analysis going on about what the metaphor is this week. I enjoyed that. But I imagine the larger plots get more intricate as time goes on, if only because that's how TV evolved at large at that time.
For example, I find The Pack oddly fascinating! Disturbing, yeah, but it's a compelling piece of television and it made me think a lot more than the Angel ep. 1x11 was a good one too, and I also liked seeing more of Cordy and have her be more of a character rather than just a stock queen bee bully. Good to hear she's a main in ATS! I heard she was in it but to find out that she's the second lead is interesting.
I'm done with s2A now Anon (as in up to 2x13) so if you want to send some thoughts in I'd love to read them. Favs of this era, flops? Let me tell you I did not expect Spike to show up so early on and I did not expect that attempt at a British accent from James Marsters. I hear he gets better and by god I hope he does because I enjoy him as an actor and the accent is distracting at times. Also did not expect Seth Green to show up this early.

Oh, I'd say you should give Malignant a chance whenever you feel like it, it is truly an amazing film. there's an action sequence in it that is is just amazing!! like james wan really outdone himself in this one! I've also recently seen X and I loved it, it was really good. I'm very similar to be honest, when it comes to new films. I'm not the best at watching them until months/years later. I am also a person that prefers watching films at home under my blankets and my cats. It's just so much more comforting. For big releases, like films I am most excited to see, I might splurge and go to see in theaters. I think I've seen around 3 or 4 this year.
and oh my god yes!!! i keep wanting to learn to do typography better but I only know the basics on that. same with blending, I've only learned some of the basics of that, and i have fun playing around with that, but the things I've seen some people do??? MAGIC!!! HOW!!!
I prefer music when I'm giffing, cause if i turn on a tv show, even if i've seen it multiple times, i'll just inevitably get sucked into that. I also love procedural crime shows (i've seen law and order svu so many times i've lost count.) but when I used to go to school i would be able to do my homework better with something on in the background. dunno why it's different when it comes to giffing for me though.
with music i listen to, it depends on what gifset i'm making tbh. If i'm making a lyric set, then I'll listen to that song on repeat while I make the gifset. I listen to a lot of different things but those who come to mind the most lately are one direction, linkin park, mothica, harry styles (solo), Djo, 5sos, Halsey, etc. (as I said, really depends on what exactly I am giffing, but yeah, these are just ones that come to mind that I've been listening to the most lately)

i think if i'm making a more creative set with lyrics i'll listen to music, like you do, just to get me in the ~vibe~ but mostly i just stick to shows!
my fav crime procedurals are def law and order (every version) and criminal minds! i've also seen law and order svu a million times lsdkfjhgd i know the ending of pretty much every ep as soon as the theme song hits, but i still love watching them! so glad to find another law and order fan <3 it's such a cheesy dramatic show and def copaganda but i enjoy watching it just for the insane plotlines. recently i watched all of cold case and without a trace, which i think are lesser known crime shows and they weren't that good but i still enjoyed listening to them in the background. as for fav characters, i mean olivia benson is a no-brainer <3 i think mariska herself is soooo stunning and just a wonderful and talented person, and i love watching her as olivia. i also really love all the adas on svu, like alex, casey, and barba. do you have any other crime shows you like to watch?

tl;dr This was an amazing episode and definitely lived up to my expectations, the writing and voice talent was amazing, and I really hope we see more of DW soon!

This Week in BL - A New Entry My Top 10 BLs of All Time
March 2023 Wk 4

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most.
Ongoing Series - Thai
Bed Friend (Sat YT, GaGa & iQIYI uncut) ep 7 of 10 - the plot remains much the same and I am getting very concerned they extended this one as it’s starting to flag. Might have been my first high heat 10/10 candidate if they had kept it at 8 eps. Bummer. I mean it’s still good and I’m still enjoying it, but... character development is a thing.  
Future (Thai Sun YouTube & Gaga) ep 2 of 5 - Drunken gathering is such a hallmark of this franchise. Tiny bit of James flirting! (He’s my fav character ever since Love Mechanics original and the punch). Fuse is right to be worried about getting drunk bc he wants to be able to take care of Ana. I love the actor who plays Top (the ex). I’ve said it before (Remember Me) I really want him to get his own series. Also adventures in translation, Top did not say “I can’t believe you’re dating this man”, he said “I can’t believe you’re dating this kid/child”. These two are the ULTIMATE over dramatic college gays. Their relationship has NO drama but they will make it anyway. 
Pastsenger (Thai Weds Gaga) 4 of 12 eps - I like it more and more each new ep. The leads are developing a fun playful relationship. It’s a bit slapstick for me but it’s not offensive or boring. 
A Boss and a Babe (Fri YouTube) ep 5 of 12 - I don’t know. I’m just finding this one kind of boring now. Although, it looks like we are getting cute boyfriends next week so that might be nice. 
Tin Tam Jai (Tues Gaga & iQIYI) ep 6 of 12 - Side couple advanced into lap sitting and tongue kisses out of nowhere. Good tongue kissing, even if surprising. Higher heat! Yay! They’re a great pair, but would it kill Thailand to give us character development with our high heat?
Chains of Heart (Sat iQIYI) ep 7 of 10 - the confusing whateverness of waisted chemistry continues to confuse. 
The Promise (Thai Weds YT) ep 5 of 10 - I don’t know what’s going on with this show. That’s it? He just fell in love with bestie and then punished bestie for his own feelings? Seriously? WTF. ON HIATUS UNTIL APRIL 19.

Ongoing Series - Not Thai
Our Dating Sim (Korea Thurs Viki) eps 7-8fin - Absolutely wonderful. There is a time laps but it’s the good kind - NO SEPARATION. Couple of moments when I doubted they could pull it off. But CONGRATZ! We have a new entry into the very rare 10/10 club. I have go change all my best of lists but this was worth it. Final thoughts below. 
Unintentional Love Story (Korea Thurs iQIYI) 5-6 of 10 - (here’s how I’m getting it) KBL rarely gives quality sides dishes but these two are legend. Poor tattooed player hottie is always getting punched. Don’t get me wrong the leads are great too. It’s fun to watch two sets of bisexual identity crisis being handled entirely differently because of good characterization. I say “ouch” a lot while watching this show. Also “awwwww.” I do worry their cafe has no customers tho. 
The Eighth Sense (Korea Weds Viki) eps 1-2 of 10 - With 10 episodes of about 40 minutes each this has got to be one of the longest BLs Korea has ever given us. However from tone, filming style, opening credits, and trailer I am guessing this could be sad. If its KBL doing JBL style then we are in His the series territory, but it could be more in the Blueming vein. I’d give it 50/50 odds. There’s always a chance it wants to be “taken seriously” which is the death knell of BL. Also if a lead smokes it means that one or both will cheat. (I don’t make the rules, the Japanese yaoi gods do.) OK, but do I like it? Yes, actually, it’s... interesting. It’s got a bit of an age gap, country boy/city boy, the acting is great, characters complex, good chemistry and tension. It’s a bit chewy and sticky and less perfect than most KBL (do I detect a touch of Taiwan?). This one is deploying BL tropes (messy eater, shoulder sleep, protective seme, there’s even some hyung-slinging) but it isn’t in the KBL bubble, there’s sharp edges, we may get a coming out sequence or even a bashing. It certainly will stay interesting. But proceed with caution. 
A Shoulder to Cry On (Korea Tues Viki & Gaga) eps 5-7fin - What both these kids need is a little affection and a lot of therapy, not romance. The punishment for flirting in class thing was funny. They are such boyfriends by ep 5 - Sitting together, sharing a glass etc…Terrible awful grueling confession rejection. 2 year time gap. Much needed in this case. Then another 2 before the epilogue. Honestly, the most unlikely thing about this show (after the casting) was the prospect of an out gay Korean cop. No kisses for us. Narrative indicated that there should have been at least a fish kiss, but not happening with them in the same Kpop group. I’m starting to think I really just prefer KBLs where they use actors and not idols (Semantic Error excepted, of course). I’m assuming the next 2 eps are bts. Final thoughts below.

It’s Airing But ...
Love Syndrome (Thai Sat WeTV) stopped at ep 2 of 12 - I’m just not into any aspect of it (except Lee Long Shi and I can watch him in Tin Tem Jai - see above pic, awesome side dish action) - saving to binge if the end is solid.
Venus in the Sky (Sat YouTube) pilot/tester?) 0 of 10 - not entirely sure what��s up with this one distribution-wise, but the pilot was cute, classic university-set pulp. I hope it happens because the leads are cute with good chemsitry and I thought it was fun. However, it totally holds together as it’s own little short story too. 
Cafe In Love (Thai ???) 10 eps on Ch3+ - Thai pulp, about trying to save a coffee shop. FairyGodBLer came through for me, but I’m collecting to binge just in case. It’s my new policy with the grey stuff. 
Destiny Seeker (Tues WeTV Thailand) 10 eps - it’s not on any WeTV I can get ahold of. Bad Buddy the pulp rebirth meets Japanese handsome host club action. Same as above.
Make a Wish (Thai Weds ?) from WaGa Creative staring Fluke Natouch (OhmFluke UWMA etc...) & Judo (The Miracle Of Teddy Bear) in a medical-fantasy. It seems to be a light-hearted romance with a comedic flair. About a doctor who sees ghosts and a deity who resides in a Bodhi tree that earns merits whenever he fulfills a wish based on a y-novel by Sammon (Manner of Death, Triage). Too hard to find.

Finished this week
Our Dating Sim (Korea Viki) I enjoyed every aspect from the casting to the very simple premise to the quietly smooth execution. Sure it’s very low stakes, but that makes it high domesticity and extremely warm and gentle. This is a fuzzy blanket of a story. Do we call this cozy BL? Why not? This one is going to live in my rewatch pile, I can tell already, and you know what’s best about it? Every single episode is in that pile. There’s no skipping with this one, it might be good natured and calmly sweet but it’s tight and the pacing is excellent. It perfectly suited KBL’s short-length tendencies. Full review. 10/10 I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOW HIGHLY ENOUGH
A Shoulder to Cry On (Korea Viki & Gaga) - Adaptation of a manwha, high school set bully romance, staring Jaehan & Yechan BOTH from Kpop group OMEGA X, so no kissing. All in all this was a painfully awkward watch for me, and while beautiful and decently acted, the story and characters rendered it ultimately disappointing. I think we shouldn’t let Korea do bully romance. 4/10 FATALLY FLAWED 
Jack O’Frost It was fine. I never really cared about the characters or their relationship. Not to slag off the acting (which was superb) but the narrative bored me. 5/10 WATCH ONLY IF YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO

Ai Long Nhai got a special ep on iQIYI. 
Eternal Yesterday is getting a movie version with additional content if you want extra suffering. 
A few things have been announced but mostly Thai, Japanese, and 2 (yes, 2) Chinese Omegaverse (Desire and Couple or Not). It’s doubtful these will pass censorship, so I’m not gonna bother tracking until they actually get international distribution. For Thailand, I’m excited about Waterboyy 3, which NOT a remake (hally-fucking-luya) but a new installment, and stars KaownahTurbo (Love Stage!!! et al). Although why the fuck they don’t put Est Supha (swim champ) into one of these is a mystery to me. For Japan, they’ll start airing sooner rather than later, so expect me to start tracking those.

Given that fandom has decided to be aggressively negative this season, I figured I’d carve out a little corner of positivity for myself, so. Here we are. Stuff I liked about Supergirl ep. 6x02 “A Few Good Women”
Spoilers!
I’m not really a fan of vampires but you know what I am a fan of? Deep comics cuts! The planet of Transilvane and its vampiric inhabitants were introduced in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #142-143, written by Jack Kirby!
I like the effect they’re using on Kara’s eyes in the Phantom Zone. It’s both creepy and cool.
Personally, I thought the way they set up the courtroom was a really nice work-around for Covid restrictions. 
As always, I am forced to admit that I enjoy seeing Lex and Lillian snark and yell at each other.
But also yes. I am...ready to be done with the Luthors.
All three of them honestly.
And then we got PAPA ZOR-EL.
He is a space dad, but not a Space Dad. 
In addition to Nu!Zor (Now with more facial hair!) we got a little bit of...I think it’s “You Will Do Extraordinary Things” and of course, everyone’s fav, “Harnessing Anger”. Love that good score.
(I’ll get to Kara in a sec, I wanna have space to ramble.)

I love that M’gann has stuck around at the outset of this season. IDK if she’s set to appear beyond this initial stretch, but man, I wish she would.
Like yes, it’s a whole other character they have to serve in an already large ensemble cast, but she brings such a nice energy to the group, and plays well off of J’onn. 
I diiiiiiig it. 
Also, she knows the Super Friends well, in that she correctly assessed that they needed pizza after their defeat.
BUT BRAINY JUST RUINED THAT PIZZA BY HOISTING THE BOX VERTICALLY BOY WHAT ARE YOU DOING????
And J’onn. DEAR J’ONN. CELESTIAL FATHER. DEEPLY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF HIS KIDDO.
*through the tears* We love to see it. 
Okay, backtracking a little...
It’s not intentional, but I kinda chuckled, because after everyone being like, ‘The Phantom Zone is hell!!!’ all throughout the episode, it was funny that Nia dreamt of a giant ‘Midvale High School’ sign while trying to find Kara in the simulation. Like, yes, actually, High School is Hell.
Again, not what they were going for, but. Still. Funny.
Oh! Also! Brainy’s pep talk with Nia was very nice! 
“She’s more than just Supergirl. She’s Kara. She’s our beacon through the darkness.”
*with quiet reverence* Yeah.
Also loved the reminder that the Legion is inspired not by Superboy, but by Supergirl in this universe. 
We didn’t have a ton of Will content but I like what we got! 
Okay, time to talk about Kara.
OUR POOR KID.
But also yes, yes, what a beautiful statement on Kara as a character, and what motivates her. What pushes her forward.
Kara fights. Kara is not content to sit around and...how does she phrase it. ‘Exist for the sake of it.’ She does not allow the difficulties she’s faced in life to stop her. 
The fandom always wants her to dwell on her anger and sadness but that’s just not WHO SHE IS as a character. She told J’onn, waaaaaaay back in season one, AND I QUOTE:
“I lost everything. It makes a hole in your heart, but you can’t fall into it. You have to fill it. You have to fight.”
So I’m sorry, fandom, but your cries of OOC and whatnot are just. Incorrect.
And then there’s the Phantom showdown which is fine (we get a nice pep talk from Alex) and SPEAKING OF, towards the end of the episode, we get...
ALEX’S FEEEEEEEELINGS
She’s feeling them and they hurt.
Like. A lot.
Also, saddest pile of potstickers.
(Thinking about Alex chucking the takeout container reminded me of the previous scene where Brainy also physically reacts and delivers the excellent line: These 21st century keyboards SUCK!)
(Yeah man, get a mechanical keyboard with cherry MX switches, none of that low profile membrane nonsense.)   
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. It had more of that, ‘fresh’, new season feeling, and still maintained the Good Character Content. I’m wondering if maybe budget constraints due to Covid stuff will make for less action set pieces and more character stuff overall? That would be kind of nice! I guess we’ll see, going forward.
Just a few negatives, IMO: the dialogue kinda felt hit-or-miss. Like, there were some really wonderful, solid bits, but then you’d get some weird stuff that didn’t quite land right. Like, I watched this episode twice just to be sure I was catching everything/not missing something because I was tired and...IDK there was just some clunky stuff.
And I will admit that I agree with fandom on one thing: I did kinda want to see Alex tell Kelly. 
But, okay, having said that, I do not think it ruins the show, or that it’s disrespectful, or whatever other complaints fandom is inventing and screaming at the people running the social media accounts.
(The level of entitlement whilst we’re still in the MIDST OF A PANDEMIC is gross.) 
(Also their solution of, ‘just take time from this one character and give it to my fav!’ is obnoxious.) 
To loop it around back to something nice! I hope they continue to develop something with Kara and William. Even if it’s just as friends. (Which would be a cowardly cop-out! But I refuse to get my hopes up, given what happened with James.)

hi :) what are some of your favorite songs that you associate with brittana?
Okay I am very moved by music, and I associate it a lot with things that I love, so this is gonna be a lengthy one haha.
I'm assuming you mean the ones we didn't see covered on the show (every time I listen to the originals of Mine, Landslide, Songbird etc. I'll always associate with Brittana now) so let's see...
A BUNCH of Taylor songs. She covers them in all narratives. I Almost Do is S4 breakup Brittana, Dorothea is pre-breakup when they were long distance, Dress is S1/2 Brittana, Fifteen reminds me of their high school love, Fearless gives me S3 vibes when Santana comes out and would have been amazing in the trash ep that is IKAG. There are so many more.
There are songs that I always think would have worked well from both their POV's in the show. I wanted Brittany to sing 'Born to Make You Happy' in the S4 Britney ep. Like come on it was Britney week, Brittany's whole narrative was pining for Santana and being sad about the distance between them. I just feel like "I'd wait forever, to be your girl" is the most fitting lyric from Brittany's perspective for all the patience she has over the years.
From Santana's POV, I always wanted to hear her sing Adele 'Chasing Pavements' about Brittany, 1. because how much would Naya have killed that vocal!? 2. because I can picture the lyrics fitting the S2 arc of Santana being miserable over Britt and Artie, featuring loads of shots of Santana sadly watching Bartie together from the sidelines. It could also fit with S4 about Bram, but I see it in S2 better, before they've had chance to be properly together. Also the writers would never have let this happen but imagine in the breakdown before the final chorus, Santana just runs up and kisses Britt (in a private setting considering Santana's not comfortable being out yet). I could picture it. There's so much tension and drama in that song that captures the angst of their S2 relationship.
Another S2 vibe song that reminds me of them is 'I Wish You Were Mine' by Loving Caliber. And then also by Loving Caliber, 'You Set My World On Fire' fits for when they're together. I probably envision this for their S6 arc, when they're at their most happiest and strongest as a couple and about to get married and commit to spending the rest of their lives together.
Ooooh also...Uncover by Zara Larsson is perfect for them in S1/2 as well. Sorry I have a lot of feels about S1/2 songs for when they weren't actually together bc I was in a relationship just like that and know all the songs there is to know about hidden love and pining for someone.
Other songs that remind me of them, basically just soft, soppy, love songs. Because that's exactly Brittana's vibe. Also I used to always be so unlucky in love so I'd listen to love songs and picture Brittana instead of anyone in my own love life haha, so now so many love songs remind me of them haha (sad I know):
Say You Won't Let Go- James Arthur (This one I always pictured Santana singing to Britt in S6 as a serenade if it had been out in time. We were literally robbed of a final serenade, and I think the lyrics of this fit the final part of their journey. I can just picture a reflective Santana singing this to her like as part of her proposal or in a scene before their wedding. Listen to the lyrics and think of them and I guarantee you will die.)
You and Me- Lifehouse (This is one of my fav songs of all time and if you have never heard of it, please listen to it, bc it's amazing.)
Look After You- The Fray (People always use this for TikTok's using the lyric about feeling like home, and I swoon, and that's so true of them. They definitely felt like home to one another.)
Ho Hey- The Lumineers (maybe S3 Brittana?)
Passenger- Let Her Go (This fits both of them in S4 because they both sacrificed their own happiness to let each other go and have a chance to be happy)

quick confession before i actually answer this: i actually have a little notecard written with all of my favorite episodes (or ones that just make me really happy i guess) and it’s color coded and it’s a little embarassing just how hard i went on that
ANYWAY LMFAO
5) Blame It On The Alcohol - listen. this episode has a lot of problems. not a huge fan of kurt being defensively biphobic (although it’s not a deal breaker for me - a lot of people REALLY hate that scene and it ruined kurt for them which i can sort of understand but i don’t think it was a huge deal) and. god i kinda hate will’s plot line in this episode LMFAO. the voicemail always makes me die a little bit. HOWEVER - this episode is FUNNY AS HELL. ‘why don’t you crack open a fourloko, count boozy von drunk a ton’ is always a one hit KO for me. sue pushing the aural intensity coach down the stairs is so fucking funny. this episode is honestly mid tier at best, but idk. i think it’s funny and i love seeing kurt pine and the music was super fun and this episode just makes me smile (and i love beiste being there for will!!! i wish beiste would’ve been will’s best person at his wedding instead of finn tbh 👀)
4) The Power of Madonna - this episode is so good!!! i feel like some of the more musical themed episodes fall a little flat on plot, but i adore the plot of this one. and there are some super iconic lines from this one (my growing feminism will slice you in half like a righteous blade of equality! mercedes is black, i’m gay - we make culture). and jesse st james???? like admittedly sometimes he gets on my nerves but he’s actually so genuine in this episode, it’s clear he actually cares about rachel by this point. “come out so we can talk. or at least sing about it.” like yes he’s also a dramatic theatre nerd but that’s always how rachel gets her feelings out so offering to sing about it (i think, at least) is so sweet. also i mean. it’s MADONNA. the music is PHENOMENAL. listening to 4 Minutes genuinely makes me feel like the gina linetti headphones meme. express yourself is so fun and cute. THE VOGUE RECREATION IS SO GOOD AND ICONIC. definitely a comfort episode for me
3) New New York - this episode is a favorite partially because the first time i saw it, i was hanging out with an old friend of mine and while i don’t talk to her at all anymore, whenever i watch this episode i remember being in her room and petting her cat and it was a very good time! but also this is just such a solid episode top to bottom. we see rachel enter queen diva mode yet again, but this time it’s artie who helps her wake up from it which i think was smart and helped make the NYC friend circle feel a little bit more cohesive. also the klaine content! the blam content! the kelliott content! glitter rock vampire!!!!! mercedes showing up at the end!! what’s not to love
2) Never Been Kissed - listen i’m aware i’m a klaine stan first and foremost but that’s actually not the main reason why this is ranked so high. genuinely, it’s the music. this is the ONLY boys vs girls mashup episode where i feel like both teams fucking KILLED IT. every time i watch this episode, i change who i think won. and i know a lot of people hate the original ‘teenage dream’ because yes it is kind of overproduced and it is annoying when the music shows blaine singing two lines at the same time. however - i do not care, that song is so fucking good imo. i really hate the acoustic version in s4 just because it sounds so sad, the context really makes it hard for me to listen to. but blaine singing teenage dream the first time him and kurt meet………poetic cinema!!! i hate the beiste plot point because a. it’s just kind of uncomfortable but b. beiste always deserved better!!!! sometimes i forget that the main plot point IS everyone thinking about beiste because genuinely the music is the main highlight of the ep and i try not to think about how disrespectful that was to one of my fav mckinley faculty members ever
1) Original Song - this will never not be my favorite episode. this episode has EVERYTHING. it’s funny, it’s sad, it’s romantic, it’s awkward, this episode is honestly peak glee to me. season two is probably my favorite season because of that, i feel like the whole season did a very good job of staying in its lane and i love that. i love the sadness of pavarotti dying and santana feeling rejected by brittany, to the absolute hilarity of ‘only child’ and ‘trouty mouth’. i love how this episode flat out has quinn saying “rachel deserved better than to live in lima being stuck by finns side, i’ll take that bullet for her so she can go be a star.” and honestly “get it right” is one of my favorite glee songs ever. when rachel sings “so finally someone will see/how much i care” i literally get goosebumps every single fucking time. also i love how “loser like me” was more of a love song to kurt than it was a ‘fuck you’ to sue? like “i’ll get you back when i’m your boss” i headcanon was written by puck because he always admired how kurt knew he was destined for greater things than being tossed into dumpsters. the girls are wearing doc martens which kurt wears all the time!!! can you imagine the ND girls going thrifting to try and find shoes so they can support their bestie from the stage 🥺🥺 and that’s why kurt is the first person to jump to his feet and dance along!!! they’re all besties!!!! like deadass klaine getting together isn’t even a top three moment from this episode for me, which should tell you a lot considering how much i love those two. also MCR gets mentioned a bunch??? like i have never listened to their cover of ‘sing’ in its entirety because it kills me inside - i genuinely love my chemical romance a lot. so whenever they get mentioned i always kind of giggle about it lmfao

Walker 2.05
I watched this episode two times, the first live while half-asleep then a re-watch so I could do this post cause the first time I had been half asleep 😅 Definitely liked it more upon the re-watch but at the same time I think it could have been better; I don’t know there’s something about it that doesn’t fully click with me. I like it, I think it’s a good ep but it’s just not one of my favs, there are eps I have liked a lot more.
The case of the episode is a cold case, the body of this lawyer who had been reported missing years ago was found so the case was reopened this time as a murder investigation. Because Micki is on desk duty and Denise is on vacation with her family, Liam and Walker have to work together even though things between them are still a little cold from what happened last episode with Liam feeling like his brother doesn’t listen to him or trust him.
But them working together lasts only one scene which as at the beginning of the ep, the rest of the time it’s Liam and Micki working together which I really enjoyed, I think this is the first time we got to see these two properly interact with one another but at the same time I wish it had been Liam and Walker working the case because the case all comes down to this guy who murdered his brother and I just feel like it would have paralleled better if it had been the brothers working the case together; and then at the end they reach a resolution and Walker lets Liam know that he does trust him but they can also be civil with the Davidson’s and I just feel like them making peace wasn’t truly earned, it seems less like a natural point in the writing and more like they didn’t want to have the brothers at odds.
While Micki and Liam are working the case, Walker is at the Side Step meeting Captain James' new girlfriend. Spoiler alert it’s a very short lived relationship cause Walker notices she has a Mustang keychain and gets all excited about it, and it leads to girlie realizing she misses her ex. Oof.
There’s also a scene between Walker and Geri (who’s on a date!) I'm not sure what we as an audience are supposed to get out of the scene but I’m pretty sure what I got is not what was intended by the writing team. Because to me this scene highlights why the romance between these two needs to pump the breaks. Geri says to Walker that sometimes she still thinks of him as married! And she still thinks of Hoyt as being locked up. Before they get together they need to deal with their shit separately; I know they’ll eventually hook up but I need them to slow down, pump the breaks, have them be just friends, the kind that encourage each other to date other people and expand their social circle and build the romantic aspect up slowly.
And then there’s Trey. Him and Micki are still having problems so he went to the Walkers looking like a lost little puppy dog, searching for some company, and got invited to go fishing with Bonham and Abeline. I love that, I love that he’s getting adopted into the family- I really wish we had gotten to see that quality time between them, I think it’s a shame we didn’t; Trey finds out about Garrison, not what happened just his existence, cause Bonham tells him not knowing that he didn’t know about Garrison. This is the problem with adopting couples.
Of course while the adults were doing their thing the kids were doing theirs, they threw a party if one could even call it that- it was a BBQ, that reminded me a lot of when I was little cause I had a family member that would throw BBQ’s like that over the weekends. Keep in mind this family member was in their 40’s, married and with kids so this scene to me just left me wondering why two teenagers were throwing a secret BBQ as if they were a bunch of 30 year olds. They really couldn’t have gotten permission for this?
And convinced by their friends, cause of course, Stella and Todd, followed by August and two of his friends head to the Davidson’s burned barn to check it out. August is an idiot and climbs the thing, ends up falling through the floor he most likely has injuries we will be learning about in the future, but that led to him finding the lantern that started the fire years ago and noticing it belonged to his family.
At the end there is a really nice scene between Walker and Micki, now it’s when it’s really starting to feel like the writers are getting ready to write her out and I’m not ready 😭
The whole thing ends with Micki coming home to find a note left by Trey on the painting that she had hung up (the one made by Garrison) asking who Garrison is 😳
Like a said a good ep though not a fav for me personally, but I am really looking forward to next week- or to a couple of days from now I should say cause it’s already Sunday 😂
Because 2.06 is the mid-season finale, it’s Holiday themed, it sounds by the description like it might Micki’s last episode (😭) and I’m really curious to see if we’ll be left on a cliffhanger and what if anything will be set up for the second half of the season.

I loved the stork - little Easter Egg to how the stork brings the children to their parents
And Agnes telling Herb to stop it, is it related to Mrs Hart saying “Stop it” to Mr Hart in ep 1?
Also: The look on Agnes’ face when she’s saying stop it to Herb looked like genuine fear - so - referring back to Volume 1 of James Robinson’s run on Scarlet Witch - There’s a ghost that Wanda talks to almost exclusively and further on down the road she ends up being resurrected by the inner goddess Hecate. So..what if Agnes has been a resurrected ghost, in this little pocket universe by Wanda but she’s afraid of maybe being killed again or maybe she’s just genuinely afraid of Wanda because she knows what she’s capable of - which you could also link the ‘Hydra Goddess’ to Hecate??? Possibly ? Or maybe Agnes and Wanda were working on a spell to resurrect Vision but things very quickly got out of control and Agnes realised that Wanda was going a bit too far but she’s too powerful to stop. Agnes’s job so far in the series is keeping Wanda happy or calm and focused in a way, whenever there’s a heated moment she shows up and quickly shuts it down - or just a little nod
Also also: What if we’re like - in the first episode there was, who I think was Darcy Lewis, watching Wanda’s sitcom type thingy - what if we’re like viewers if S.W.O.R.D is trying to reach out to nearby towns or houses and it’s like a little meta nod and we’re watching Wanda’s sitcom as viewers from a surrounding or nearby town?
Also also also: I don’t think Wanda caused the glitch in the episode, in ep 2 she said “No” and straight up rewound back, however with this glitch she pretty much kept the same face and seemed genuinely interested in what Vision had to say - so again, outsider controlling? There was a little Easter Egg of Grim Reaper’s helmet, could it be the Grim Reaper? Or a clue in to Wonder Man? Seeing as Grim Reaper is Wonder Man’s brother idk
Also also also: “Ralph looks better in the dark” MEPHISTO??????? And the toaster in the first ep, the before toaster, was upside down and had ‘666’
I seriously love this show and I will not give up on my Mephisto theory 😂💙
