Now, I don't hate Bakugou, anybody who has been following my blog long enough knows that.

But again, it will boggle the fuck out of me that there are Bakugou fans who hate Midoriya.

I just saw a post about how Bakugou had evey right to be angry at Midoriya for lying about his quirk and in the tags someone said how they found Midoriya’s crying annoying and that he's pathetic and the post is tagged anti-Deku.

... and the Bakugou picture used was of him crying.

THIS POST WAS JUST REBLOGGED TOO.

Now, we're in 2023 and I can't believe we still have people not reading the manga carefully.

(Never blocked someone so fast... they liked one of my posts that was about Midoriya... THAT WASN'T EVEN ANTI MIDORIYA!)

Bakugou did not have every right to be angry at Midoriya as if Midoriya was in the wrong given that at the time their relationship was not at the best of terms. Technically, it wasn't even Bakugou's business.

It's understandable that Bakugou got upset because they known each other their whole lives and then there was that issue that Bakugou believed Midoriya thought he was better than Bakugou, but come on now.

Again, their relationship wasn't on the best terms. Midoriya didn't resent Bakugou, but he damn sure doesn't owe him every single thing.

And yet, Midoriya actually ran after Bakugou to give him some explanation. If he did not care, then he wouldn't have done that. Mind you, he was injured!

Second, Midoriya lied to everyone. Bakugou ain't that special now. MIDORIYA FUCKING HAD TO. He could not just blurt out that he got his quirk from All Might because IT WOULD HAVE PUT PEOPLE IN DANGER. It wasn't like he liked lying!

Why you think his OFA was registered as a strength quirk? Duh!!

Seriously, that's the reason you hate Midoriya?

Because he did something to PROTECT PEOPLE INCLUDING BAKUGOU?!

The Midoriya hate is so unreal to me, it really is because some of these reasons don't even make sense!!

Oh In-joo, while naive in the context of the story we are being told, is not an idiot. In the first few episodes In-joo is established as someone who is resourceful, competent at her job, and a good sister. She always makes sure there’s a roof over her family’s head, food in their bellies, and tries to make sure that they’re (mainly In-hye) safe and happy. In-joo is really good at being poor. Which is why I don’t understand all of the comments I keep seeing calling In-joo an idiot or complaining that she’s too stupid so the show is “un-feminist” (whatever that means [does that mean women aren’t allowed to be a little dumb sometimes? Seems pretty un-feminist for women to be put into a box like that...]). Like, why the fuck would someone who has been dirt poor all their life suddenly be amazing in the world of money, murder, and politics? The first thing In-joo did with 2 billion won was buy name brand ice cream. That’s how poor she’s been throughout her life, corner store ice cream was her big first splurge (and it was on sale!). Some of her scenes have been played to add a bit of levity to such a dramatic show, the “hands up” scene is one of my favourites, but again, those scenes are of her experiencing situations that she’s never had cause to even wonder about before. I’ve certainly never thought about the bounds of plastic surgery, and if faced with a gun, I fully believe I would wet myself. But In-joo, someone who is earnest and takes things at face value, is somehow managing to survive in this world of lies and backstabbing she’s been thrown into. Some of it is dumb luck, some of it is Do-il saving her neck, but some of it is her. And I don’t just mean her badass moment in Singapore. Her resilience, her earnestness, her optimism and kindness. Every choice she’s made has contributed to the fall of the Jeongran Society. Her additions to their rag-tag team go largely unnoticed since she’s not unearthing the story behind it all like In-kyung, or a former inside man like Do-il, but In-joo is the one who has the mastermind behind all of this shaken. And it’s not just because this all started with Sang-a’s obsession with In-joo. Sang-a thought she knew In-joo, but like a lot of viewers, she didn’t know who In-joo would become. She thought In-joo would do anything for money, but instead In-joo would do anything for her family and her best friend, even after learning that their friendship was a lie. She didn’t know that behind her naivete In-joo was strong; stronger than her. Sang-a may be more confident, conniving, and quick-witted, but she can’t handle things not going her way. In-joo on the other hand, has never had anything go her way and as a result is more adaptable and quicker to bounce back.

This entire show is about classism and the ways that it divides us, schooling and intelligence is one of them. Without Hyo-rin’s family In-hye wouldn’t have had the opportunities they gave her. Without their great aunt, In-kyung wouldn’t have gone to university. But In-joo didn’t have anyone to give her a helping hand. People who are looking down on her character for being an “idiot” are only proving one of the points the drama is trying to make. If you’re poor, you’re considered unintelligent, if you’re considered unintelligent then people can treat you like garbage and get away with it. But Oh In-joo is done letting people get away with it.

I was pondering why is Luocha's attack called "Thorns of the Abyss". (Luocha, darling, do you want to talk about it?)

It's not the exact same characters as in Genshin though. Abyss in Luocha's skill is 黑渊 (the dark deep) and genshin abyss is 深渊 (the profound/abyssal deep)

(I think 渊 is the same term you can use for deep sea)

So he has a 'thorns of the black depths/abyss' (黑淵的棘刺) skill and a 'white flower of hope/prayer' (白花的祈望) skill. The latter also got translated as "Flower of the Abyss", haha.

(Chinese speakers, do correct me if I messed up, this is the best I can manage with a dictionary)

So. I assumed Swan's abyssal line is also about that-other-under-the-sea-abyss.

The whole idea of sharks not being evil creatures comes from our understanding that animals DO NOT HAVE A MORAL CODE, sharks aren't good or bad just like dolphins aren't good or bad. People talk about sharks in a good manner because we have deconstructed the false narrative created about them through the film industry which led to devastating consequences to their population. If you start talking about dolphins the same way people used to talk about sharks it's just a domino effect.

It's not the dolphins fault the film industry made them out to be these lovable friendly characters. It's your fault however if you base all of your "facts" about dolphins on a tiktok video you saw where someone just listed "why dolphins are evil"

You know there are a bunch of things that help people with adhd cope and live easier like for example taking medication or using certain techniques or even just buying stim toys... but also adhd is the "can't bring myself to do anything important" disorder so you see where my problem lies??
