I'm thinking of why Alcina is so devoted to Miranda in RE: Village and I've come up with this theory:

Alcina is very maternal and wanted so badly to be a mother but she never had the chance to have her own children. Now enter Mother Miranda with the Cadou, and as a result, she gave Alcina three beautiful daughters whom she loved so much.

In a way, Miranda gave Alcina what she always desired: motherhood. And for that, Alcina is eternally grateful. It is why she is on Mirand's side and devoted to her to a fault.

And it's interesting how when her daughters were in danger, right after Bela died that Alcina turned against Miranda because, between her and the daughters, Alcina will always choose her daughters (like any loving mother would)
