Clearing your throat for the 5th time since class started, you tried to look away from the girl that stood in front of the class, paper in hands as she read the words written on it to everyone. The brown eyes would often travel around looking for any reactions that she would entice, from Mr. Miller, to her best-friend, to the rest of the students and finally landing on you.
Cairo gave you a brief smile, but enough to make you blush. The heat wave taking over your body, making you shift uncomfortably in your chair. Sitting in the front row, that close to her, was not the best idea.
As the brunette finished presenting her paper, the professor motioned for her to return to her seat, right next to you. Also not a good idea, but she insisted and it wasn’t hard to comply with her wishes. You swallowed hard, eyes looking at your hands that rested on your lap, avoiding to look at her, being this closed never failed to agitate your heart, especially after her readings.
“So,” Cairo leaned closer, whispering in your ear with a sweet voice. “What did you think?”
“It was incredible, as well as everything you've ever written. You have a way with words that never fails to astonish me.”
The girl let out a small laugh. “Is ‘astonish’ your word of the day?”
“How did you guess?” You retorted in the same playful tone.
You finally looked at her. Big mistake, if you cared to admit to yourself.
Cairo was close, leaning into your personal space as she always did to test your reactions. Her eyes carried unspoken words that you wished she’d share with you the same way she does when working on her writing, but it never seemed to be something that would, eventually, come to reality. She had many things she wanted to share, unfortunately, none involved you.
Not directly, at least.
Feeling your throat dry at the sudden closeness, your eyes darted from hers, down to her lips where a small smile rested, knowing damn well the effect she had on you.
“I can read you like a poem.” She whispered, pulling back to pay attention to the rest of the class.
It was a truthful statement, she can read you as if you were written by a high schooler, with shallow, badly used words that confuses everyone around, including you.
Sometimes it felt like she was interpreting you wrongly, in her own ways.
And that only made you more confused as to what was the feeling you felt when she was beside you. And what she felt for you.
Yet, you burn inside to hear her mind.
The rest of the morning went by like the wind, occasionally blowing on your hair, threatening to rain every second. Like every other ordinary day.
Cairo would spend time either writing or reading in her own world, completely focused on the words she would type on her laptop, stealing glances from you every now and then when Winnie’s laugh got her attention. You pretend not to feel the brown eyes burning your side profile, but the brunette always noticed the way you gulp and bite on your lower lip before returning her attention to her work.
Only then you’d look at her. And it was as if the world was muted by whoever controls this reality, making everything disappear as you gazed at her face, from the messy fringe that covered her forehead to the light-colored dots that were spread on her skin, your favorite one being a small freckle on her lip that you wished to kiss away and steal it for you.
You were dying to know how she tastes, if it was bitter like the coffee she insists is better than any other sugary garbage you and Winnie chooses to drink, or if it was minty like the cigarettes that always rested in her hands. Maybe it tasted like cinnamon because of the gum she carries in her back pocket, or cherries since she loves to eat them when she’s alone at home.
Shaking your head, you turned your attention back to Winnie Black and whatever was the subject she seemed excited to talk about, and all you could do was laugh when she did.
Cairo noticed your behavior.
On your way through the trees, you trailed behind her, just admiring the way she would kneel whenever a new insect crossed her way.
“Don’t you think they’re cute?” She asked with glowing eyes, looking hypnotized by the green praying-mantis in her hands.
“It would be more interesting if they could kung-fu.”
Cairo rolled her eyes at your joke, coming closer to you to lay the innocent animal in your own hands, a disgusted feature took over your face once you felt the tickles in your skin.
“If they could kung-fu, you’d be dead by now.” She joked back, walking her way out of the woods that led to the old, empty mansion on the other side, leaving you behind unsure on what to do with the tiny creature in your hands. Luckily, it jumped off on its own as if it had noticed your discomfort.
You laughed to yourself, following her once again.
The old place had slowly become your second house as you stayed there more than at your actual home. With Cairo’s parents out for most of the days on working trips, you’d find yourself more comfortable with the other’s presence as you both worked on your assignment in silence after class.
It was dark outside the window when you let out a sigh of relief, finally finished with your work. Looking over to Cairo, she still had the laptop on her lap, but little did you know she had finished her own homework way before you.
“Do you know what ‘basorexia’ means?” Her voice made you stare at her with a confused aura. You denied with your head, sitting back up on the chair you were in. Cairo took one last drag on the cigarette that rested between her fingers before putting it out on the small, porcelain plate on the nightstand by her bed. She walked to you at a slow, calculated pace until she was standing in front of you. “It means ‘the overwhelming desire to kiss someone’.” She explained, calmly placing herself on your lap.
“What are you doing?” You choked on your voice, trying to back yourself away from her, but her hands firmly on your shoulders and legs resting side by side with yours made you stay in place.
“I want the truth.”
“What truth, Cairo?”
When the brunette leaned closer, you could smell the mint in her breath. Her fingers found the collar of your shirt, touching your neck with the tip of them.
“About what you want.” Her eyes were dark, pupils full blown at the feeling of you so tensed up under her touch. “I see the way you look at me, an overflowing desire that is almost drowning you in.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You tried to play off, but your voice failed you as you looked away from her, focusing on the vintage furniture that decorated her bedroom; everything looked so antique, matching perfectly with the personality of the girl stranding your lap.
Cairo’s hand left your shoulder to lock your chin over her index finger as she made you look at her.
“You can lie to yourself as many times as you want, but you cannot lie to me.” Her thumb brushed softly on your lower lip and you had to stop yourself from sucking it into your mouth. “You think you’re doing a great job at hiding what’s in your head, but your body gives away your true intentions.”
“And how’s that?” The low, curious tone in your voice made the girl lean closer, brushing her lips against yours.
“Your eyes love to travel up and down my body, but they seem to have a strange obsession with my lips.” She licked on them, the tip of her tongue touching you. You closed your eyes for a mere second, but the small tilt on your chin made you open them again. “Your cheeks gain a pinkish tone whenever I lean closer to you and you stop breathing as if the air I let out is toxic. Your hands refuse to touch me out of fear I’ll burn under your touch.” The hand that wasn't holding you in place found yours that were glued to your sides, making them rest on her thigh. “So, I want you to tell me what’s going on inside your pretty little head.”
Cairo Sweet is objective, what she wants, she’ll have it. One way or another. And she had her own ways to justify the means.
Your brain tried to form a single sentence, but the words had left your vocabulary, all it had left was the new word you had just learned: basorexia.
Was that what you felt in your chest?
Once again, the girl proved to be ahead of you, knowing your true wishes. Reading you like an open book displayed on her desk among the others that she devours.
You took one last deep breath, trying to organize your thoughts before you let out all that’s been troubling you since you first met Cairo.
“I want to kiss you. But only once, I think.” The girl smiled, reaching out for your other hand so that now both rested on her thighs. “I just want to know what it’s like and I’ve spent enough time staring at your lips that I can’t bear the thought of never finding out.”
“What if I don’t want to kiss you?”
“Then that makes us two liars instead of one.” Your voice was nothing but a lowly whisper, afraid to break that thick tension that surrounded the both of you like the smoke that Cairo blew out of her mouth.
Your hands moved up and down, never trespassing the fabric of her black skirt. You didn't want to abuse a boundary that you didn't know existed, but imagined. Everything about Cairo was a mystery, she spent more time hidden in the words of her books than actually expressing her wishes out loud, it was rare the times she felt comfortable saying them, and when she did, it felt like you were standing in the eye of the hurricane.
Her hands were heavy on your shoulder, slowly moving to tangle in your hair to pull your head back. You looked at her with half-opened eye lids and parted lips as she carefully analyzed you, deciding on what should be her next step. All she knew was that, after the first one, she couldn’t take two back.
Cairo fixed herself on your lap, holding back a heavy breath that threatened to escape her throat at the touch of your burning hands moving past her skirt. You wanted to grab the flesh and move her against you just to hear that sound again.
You watched with hypnotized eyes when she stopped smiling, hovering over you with open lips, her hot breath mixing with yours, but never closing the small gap between the two of you. She was unsure, hesitant, almost as if waiting for someone to push her off the edge of a cliff.
This time you took the first step, your hands held her waist and your torso moved against hers to capture her lips with your own, sucking on her bottom lip. Cairo kissed you with hunger, easily taking control of the situation with her hands cupping your cheeks, pulling you towards her as she pushed herself on you, not even air could go through you.
She tasted divine on your tongue, even more than you could ever dream of, and the sounds that were escaping from her parted lips whenever you tilted your head for a different fitting filled your ears and soon became your favorite sound. When she moaned against your mouth, feeling your nails dig the skin of her waist, you went to heaven and back, your body heating up as if hell embraced you in a tight hug.
Moving one of her hands from your face, the brunette guided yours up, squeezing her breast with a small smile while kissing you before leading it down her body once more.
She was hot against your fingers and it was easy for you to slide them against her slit at a torturous pace. Cairo held your hand steady, deciding to move her hips against you, whining on your lips with eyes closed. Short nails digging at the nape of your neck, a bearable burning on the spot.
Trailing your kisses down her neck, you licked on her pulse point, earning yourself a hoarse moan before she pulled back from you, standing up before she reached the ‘no return’ point.
You nearly screamed at the sudden abruption, following behind her. As your arms were to wrap around her waist, she pushed you down back on the chair with a firm hand on your chest. You stared at her, frustrated and bothered, and she didn’t seem so different from you. Swollen lips, dark eyes and heavy breathing, her shoulders fastly moving up and down. Once again, you were confused with her actions.
The awkward silence that filled the bedroom was loud, screaming inside of your head. You wanted to slap that expression on her face, the one that looked at you with a tensed jawline. Instead, you just got up and took the jacket that rested on the chair’s arm, hearing the flick of her lighter before you closed the door and walked down the stairs, a burning feeling on your chest.

The phone feels like a paperweight in your hand. It’s late — you should be sleeping, but you know it’s useless to even attempt shutting your eyes. It’s too loud in your head right now — that promise of just one time blaring: a warning. Still, you can’t help but consider ignoring it, texting David and begging to see him again.
It’s probably a bit pathetic, yearning for a man who made it clear he wanted nothing to do with you beyond a one night stand. Daydreaming about the timbre of his voice, the stretch of his cock. Getting his phone number from your father, who’s none the wiser. Your father, who is asleep in his own room just down the hall. Being home for the summer has never felt like such a burden.
Guilt eats at you as your fingers hover over the screen, David’s contact front and center. It would be so easy to send him a text right now, let him know you’re thinking about him. About the other night. But your conscience reins you in. Your father’s face flashes behind your eyes — rage and disappointment painting his features scarlet, and you drop the phone beside you on the mattress with a huff.
It’s difficult to even imagine the inevitable severity of his reaction if he ever found out. He’d probably cut you off, the revelation of you whoring around with his friend — and the possibility of this news getting out, tarnishing your family’s pure reputation — more than enough for him to disown you.
You hate him sometimes. Hate the life he’s forced onto you. You’re not even interested in studying law — not really. You never had a choice, though. It was determined before you even graduated high school that you’d follow in your dad’s footsteps. And as long as he’s funding your studies, your future, you have no right to complain. This is the life you should want. The life everyone wants. He reminds you of that fact regularly. Him, and his countless snooty club buddies.
But David — David is refreshing.
He doesn’t come from old money. He doesn’t pinch your cheeks and talk around you rather than to you, declarations of you must be so proud aimed at your father as you stand awkwardly to the side. You’re pretty sure he’s the first person outside of your professors to really look at you, take interest in anything you have to say in… god knows how long.
You can still feel his eyes boring into you. The subtle but tactful brush of his leg against yours under the table. The exhilaration that had thrummed in your veins. He’d made you feel something. You’d almost forgotten you could feel anything apart from stress and agitation. And as you lay in bed, mind swimming with arousal and impending remorse, you fear you may not be able to control yourself much longer, consequences be damned.
Tumblr media
He’s not expecting you to reach out.
Why would you? You’d mutually agreed on that night in his car being a one time thing — just a hookup; something he would’ve done before meeting Carol. Something he should probably be doing more often now. Except you’ve somehow sunk your teeth in him, injected him with a sort of venom.
Because all he can think about is seeing you again.
It’s wrong — beyond wrong. You’re so young; still in college, for christ sake. He never met you before the other night, but he’d been stationed overseas with your father when your mother was pregnant with you. He still remembers reading the letters she’d sent in care packages over his shoulder, the ones detailing her symptoms, what foods she was craving.
Strawberries. She always wanted strawberries. Maybe that’s why you’re so sweet.
He’s never been with a woman like you; never had someone trust him with so much vigor. Your needy little pleas, your vehement obedience, your desperation to take all of him in the driver’s seat of his car — you are nothing short of intoxicating.
Still, he tells himself you’re off limits. Trudges through the days that follow with the thought of you bouncing in his lap fogging his head. Struggles to focus at work and recovers in an increasingly poor manner when called on in meetings.
And then, late on a Friday night, you text him.
He only knows it’s you because you tell him so — your full name flashing across the screen followed by an apology for messaging him so late. You say you’re out with friends, and he’d probably have guessed anyway by the typos littering your sentences.
Seconds after the first, another text comes through:
[1:23am] csnt stop thinking about u. pls see me again i promise i won’t twll anyone
Fuck. Fuck.
His muscles tense; his cock twitches in his boxers. And before he does something stupid, like responds, he sets the phone face down on his bedside table. Stalks off to the bathroom with the intention of taking an icy-cold shower, detoxing himself best he can.
He hasn’t even closed the door yet when he hears it ring.
The rhythmic jingle drones through his studio apartment, and he all but leaps at the noise. Sure enough, it's you, calling him drunk in the middle of the night.
His head swims. He presses ‘answer’ anyway.
“David?” Your voice sounds so sugary-sweet, cloying with innocence. He can hear people in the background, maybe your friends, talking about getting another round of drinks.
“Are you okay, sweetheart?” he asks first. You tell him yes; say you're waiting on a rideshare.
He exhales. And even though hearing you is making him dizzy with a fucked up sort of desire, echoes of your pleasured sounds ringing in his ears, he manages to maintain composure when you say, “can I please come over?”
“Don't think that's the best idea,” he mutters. The lack of conviction in his words would likely be painfully obvious if you weren't intoxicated. But you are, and you whine through the receiver at his rejection.
Dave fights to ignore the increasing stiffness in his boxers.
“Please,” you beg. Fuck, he loves the way you sound when you beg. “I just got off the phone with my dad…he doesn't want me coming home so drunk; said he's working on a case and I’ll be a nuisance.”
His heart breaks for you. For the girl who just wants a father who loves her, who sees her as a person with feelings. Dave can't imagine ever treating his daughters this way. Would never dream of it.
“C-can I?” your voice sounds through the speaker again — softer, less sure. Like you've prepared yourself already for the blow of him rejecting you too.
“Can't– can’t you stay with one of your friends?”
You sigh, defeated. “I want to stay with you.”
It’s not that he doesn’t want to. God, it would be so easy to say yes. To go and pick you up from the bar himself, bring you back to his place. Help you sober up a bit and fuck you until you can't take it anymore. But he can’t; he shouldn't even be speaking to you right now. He needs to cut this off. Needs to make it clear to you that you can't reach out to him again.
“You– we can’t.” He’s stern, direct. It pains him. “The other night shouldn’t have happened.” True, though he doesn’t regret it. Not one bit.
You’re quiet on the other end of the line for a second too long. When you finally do speak again, your voice breaks.
“You don’t like me?”
He’s going to tell you that of course that’s not it, that he’s been thinking about you constantly, that he wishes he could get you out of his fucking head. But he doesn’t get the chance. Because your friends are laughing boisterously around you, then, sounds growing more and more muffled through the speaker, and you’re telling him rather unceremoniously that you have to go.
The call disconnects with a beep.
Tumblr media
You wake the following morning with a dizzying headache, daylight burning a hole between your eyes. With your friend still soundly asleep, you slip out of her room and then her apartment; find yourself home just as your father is getting ready to leave for work.
His travel mug sits on the entrance table as he pulls his shoes on, and you're immediately met with the smells of coffee and his leathery cologne.
“Look what the cat dragged in,” he mutters as he grabs his briefcase. You don't dare look him in the eyes, lest you be met with their disapproving stare.
“Hi,” you reply, small and non confrontational. When he doesn't answer, you continue past him, begin your ascent up the stairs toward your room.
“Not very appropriate for a young professional, going out and getting wasted. Your future employer could've been there. Could've seen you acting like an imbecile.”
Annoyance furls behind your temples; makes the pounding in your head grow tenfold.
“Well then they probably won't be my future employer,” you snip.
“Probably not.”
You hear the front door close behind you and, with an agitated sigh, drag your feet the rest of the way up the stairs. You fall onto the covers of your bed, well aware that you should probably shower, but your body feels too heavy, in no way ready to move again just yet.
When you pull out your phone, ready for some mindless scrolling to numb your thoughts for a while, you’re met with a notification that sends your heart racing.
Have fun last night?
From David, sent five minutes ago.
You hastily scroll up, reading your own texts from last night, full of typos and barely coherent. csnt stop thinking about u. Your head falls back with a groan. You had gone out to forget about him, not to drunkenly confess your feelings to him in the middle of the night.
Now that you’re thinking about it, you also vaguely recall speaking to him. You tap on your call log and sure enough, there’s his name, only minutes after you texted him. You have no idea what you might have said to him, only a blurry memory of being upset about something. Great, this is great.
Sighing deeply, you go back to messages.
i was very drunk. sorry for bothering you
His reply comes almost instantly.
Who said you bothered me?
You’ve only met him once, and yet you can picture his smirk as if you’ve seen it a thousand times.
Tumblr media
Dave is sipping his coffee, black, no sugar, and listens to Jim going over his plans for the both of them going golfing next weekend, humming occasionally.
It pains him, looking at the man in front of him, while your voice from last night is still ringing through his head. How hurt you sounded, looking for a place to stay, not being welcome in your own home.
When Jim stands up to leave for work, he remains seated, gesturing towards his half eaten bagel, but assuring the other man that he doesn’t have to wait for him.
You still haven’t left his thoughts. If anything, the longing he feels for you has gotten worse since you told him how much you want to see him again. And he’s so tired of denying himself the one thing he really wants.
He’s patient, chipping away at the bagel until he sees your father’s gray Dodge peel out of the parking lot. And then he gives it another 10 minutes, just to be safe.
Come join me for coffee? I’m downtown at Roasted Beans.
You respond moments later — such an obedient little thing, you are — letting him know you’ll be there shortly. He finishes off his drink, discards the cup along with the bagel wrapper, and orders two fresh coffees.
He sees you before you see him. Eyes wide, lips parted ever so slightly, you look so cute as you scan the cafe. You’re wearing a sundress, the blue fabric dancing around your thighs with every turn of your body, and Dave finds himself entranced by you.
You smile when you finally catch sight of him, your entire face lighting up and he smiles back without a second thought.
Tumblr media
You shouldn’t meet him again. You really, really shouldn’t. But the conversation with your father this morning keeps replaying in your head, the disapproval weighing heavy on you, the feeling of being unable to do anything right.
You long for someone to look at you without judgment, for the sound of good girl against your skin. You long for David.
After last night and the fact that he obviously didn’t invite you over, you had thought that for him, maybe it really had been a just one time thing. Like you both had agreed on multiple times.
But then he’d texted you again, asking you to meet him. It’s almost embarrassing, how quickly you got ready, eager to see him again, despite knowing better.
On the drive over, you run through countless discussions in your head, trying to decide what you’re going to say to him. You have to be reasonable. There’s too much at stake. David is a mistake that you wouldn’t be able to come back from. You’re just going to meet him because he asked you to, because that’s the nice thing to do. It’ll just be coffee, nothing more.
Your resolve crumbles as soon as you see him. His eyes are already on you, their expression so full of want that it makes you ache. You walk over, feigning confidence as you slide onto the chair next to his, a quiet greeting on your lips. The deep, smooth sound of his voice when he returns it is enough to make you melt.
He has already ordered for you. It’s a small thing, rationally, but it’s once again more care, more attention than you’re used to. Warmth is spreading through your chest, but you try steeling yourself, forcing out the words that you’ve prepared to say.
“Listen, I want to apologize about last night. I shouldn’t have– I wasn’t thinking straight, I’m sorry for bothering–”
“Hey, sweetheart.” He interrupts your nervous stuttering, his hand gently wrapping around yours on the table. “I already told you that you didn’t bother me. If anything–” He sighs, his grip tightening. “I’m the one who’s sorry, you were looking for somewhere to stay, I shouldn’t have turned you down like that.”
Tumblr media
It breaks Dave’s heart, seeing how you’re making yourself smaller, how ready you seem for him to scold you. Your quiet You don’t like me? still echoes in his mind. How your own father didn’t care where his daughter spent the night, as long as she didn’t come home. Didn’t bother him.
He clocked the way your eyes widened in surprise at the coffee that he got you, how you huff a relieved breath when he assures you again that he’s not annoyed with you. You’re so sweet, so deserving of being loved and cared for, and he so desperately wants to be the person who does that for you.
He felt the same pull from that night towards you as soon as he laid eyes on you again, and it’s only gotten worse, now that you’re right next to him, now that he’s touching the soft surface of your hand. He vividly remembers how your skin felt under his fingertips, how you writhed against him.
The urge to get just a taste of that again becomes overwhelming. He holds your gaze as his fingers start gliding over your thighs under the table, inching towards the hem of your dress. Your lips part, the softest whimper escaping your throat at his touch.
He shouldn’t, he really shouldn’t be touching you like this, shouldn’t be thinking about you like this. Can’t stop thinking about you. I want to stay with you. How is he supposed to keep away, to stop himself, when you come to him so willingly, so desperate to be wanted?
“David?” Fuck, he loves that you call him that. “Will you take me home with you? Please?”
He can tell that you’re scared to ask, bracing yourself to be rejected again. He’s not nearly as strong as you think he is.
“Yes. Come on.”
He pulls you to your feet and out of the door before either of you have the chance to change your minds.
Tumblr media
He’s a bad man, shouldn’t be getting off on having total control over you like this. He’s probably sick; should see that shrink Carol recommended a couple months ago after the divorce was officially finalized. But the way you’re looking at him — with the same big-eyed, doleful stare you’d given him that first night — tells him you want this. Need this, even. You long to relinquish control to someone other than your hawkish father.
So pliant in his lap, limbs all gooey and relaxed under his touch, it’s clear that you trust him. Maybe more than he trusts himself.
You’re spread out on his couch, clothes hastily discarded as soon as the both of you stumbled over the threshold, already entangled in each other. He’s led you to the living room, the thought of fucking you in his bed, of your presence lingering there, your scent permeating his sheets, the last invisible line that he’s determined not to cross.
He has been toying with your body, collected your wrists in a hold over your head and told you to keep them there while he flicked and tugged on your nipples, sucked marks into your skin while you writhed underneath him.
He’s taking it slow, now that you’re here with him, now that he has the time to thoroughly break you down and put you back together again.
You’re already soaked when he sinks a finger into you, your tight walls clenching around him immediately. You coo up at him — a needy little noise that has his resolve disintegrating in seconds flat — and you look relieved when his hand loosely wraps around your throat.
“Please,” you whisper then, and he tuts.
“You want me to take care of you?”
You nod.
“Then you take what I give you. No begging. Do I make myself clear?”
Another noise — this one smaller, stuck in your throat — and he’s pulling his finger out of you again, lips curling into a cruel smile.
He doesn’t give you any time to prepare before the first slap lands on your already-throbbing clit. You can’t help but shriek. In response, he tightens the grip on your throat slightly. Gives three more stinging smacks in quick succession. Dave almost doesn’t notice when your eyes begin to roll back. He does notice, however, when your hips begin to roll upward, your body chasing his hand.
“Oh, such a good girl you are,” he praises.
Slap.
“You love this, don’t you?”
“Mhm,” you moan, garbled and a little breathless.
Slap.
“Pathetic little girl. Bet you could come just from this, you’re so desperate. Couldn’t you?”
You gasp.
Slap.
“Answer me,” Dave demands. “Or I’ll stop.”
It’s almost comical how quickly you sputter the word yes, eyes desperately pleading with him to keep going. And he’s almost shocked just how badly you needed this. In this moment, any guilt he’d been feeling is replaced with the desperate desire to give you exactly what you crave.
He slaps you again, a little harder this time, and you wail. Your legs are trembling, but you make no move to close them, keeping yourself spread wide open and accessible for him.
He’s throbbing, fighting the urge to sink his cock into your tight heat, but he wants, needs to know how far he can push you. How far you’ll go for him.
You’re dripping onto his cushions and he collects some of your slick with his fingers, rubs them against your clit. Your skin is burning under his fingertips. He teases the oversensitive nub with gentle touches, relishes in the way your eyes are glued to his face, the way your lips are trembling as you’re silently pleading with him.
No words are escaping you, and you’re so good, making him so proud with how you’re following his commands.
He slaps your clit again, and again, and again, until you’re a babbling mess, your throat constricting against his grip and your back arching as you come with a cry. Wetness floods out of you and you’re shuddering in his hold, broken whimpers of his name falling from your lips.
He watches with sick fascination, almost unable to believe that he drove you to this point. How much you enjoy being treated like this. That you’re just as twisted as he is.
When you come down, your arms weakly reach for him and he scoops you up, pulls you into his lap until your face is nuzzled into his neck.
“Good girl,” he coos, gently stroking your hair, “you did so good.”
He gives you a few moments to rest, tracing shapes across your back, until his fingers dip deeper, gliding over your ass and between your spread legs, where you’re still so fucking wet.
You squirm under his touch, needy little sounds traveling up to his ears once more. “Please,” you whisper.
One hand grabs into your hair, pulling your head back until he can see your face. You look wrecked. Pupils blown wide, your eyes wet with tears, but what really gets him is the way you look at him. He had worried, for a second, that he might have been too rough, but there’s only pure trust and longing in your eyes.
“I thought I told you no begging.”
You bite your lip, furrow your brow in that adorable way of yours. “I’m sorry. It just– it all feels so good.”
He presses his thumb down on your bottom lip, releasing it from your teeth.
“I know it does, sweetheart. You need more?”
You nod quietly, your eyes wide and pleading.
“Alright then.” He turns you over so quickly that you gasp, scrambling for a second to get your bearings. You’re on all fours, your legs still spread, your ass on display for him.
He had wanted to prepare you a little more, to give you several of his fingers first before he stretches you out on his cock, but he can’t possibly hold back any longer. Judging from the loud moan that you let out, he thinks that you like the sting of him sinking into you unprepared.
It’s even better than he remembers, your slick walls engulfing him so tightly. He starts pounding into you, the depth of his thrusts jolting your body forward and forcing more sounds from you.
He wants you to still feel him tomorrow, wants you to remember him, wants to stake a claim that he knows he doesn’t have. He groans your name, his fingers digging into your hips, greedy for every part of you that he can reach.
Perfect, you’re so fucking perfect, giving yourself to him like this.
“Come on,” he growls, reaching down to find your clit again, rubbing in tight circles. “Give me another one.”
You cry out, pushing back against him. So fucking eager. He lands two quick slaps on your ass and you fall apart, trembling wildly as your walls pulse around him and you scream out his name.
He can’t hold himself back any more and follows you over the edge, pumping into you once more and holding your hips pressed against his.
You both collapse down onto his couch, a mess of tangled, sweaty limbs and quick breaths. You curl your body into his and he presses kisses against your cheeks, your temples, your lips.
Slowly, as he’s coming back to his senses, the guilt settles in.
Tumblr media
He lets go of you much too quickly, stands up and starts getting dressed quietly. You watch him for a moment, wracking your mind for something to say, before he looks at you.
“Get dressed. I’ll drive you home.”
He sounds cold, distant. So different from the man who just took you to heights that you didn’t know existed until now. You suppress a shiver and get up hastily. Suddenly, being naked around him feels much too exposed, too vulnerable for your liking.
You pull your dress over your head and slide your shoes back on, but one crucial item is missing.
“Did– did you see my underwear?” you force yourself to ask. He shakes his head, not gracing you with a verbal answer.
Eventually, you give up the search and follow him down the stairs and into his car. The silence grows, until its weight is pressing down, almost suffocating you. You steal glances at him, but his eyes are fixed on the road, staring straight ahead, never wavering. A muscle in his jaw is ticking.
The mix of his spend and yours is pooling between your legs, but it makes you feel dirty now. You force down the lump that’s building in your throat.
When he stops in front of your house, you scramble out of the car without a word. You don’t know what would be worse, if he said goodbye like nothing was wrong or if he remained silent. You don’t want to find out.
It’s late in the evening, you’re lying on your bed, eyelids squeezed shut, willing sleep to finally overtake you. Thoughts keep spiraling through your head, so many questions that you have no answers to.
He asked you to meet up, for fuck’s sake. You don’t understand why he’s treating you like this, but you’re determined to not let it happen again. Just two times, you think with a bitter scoff.
Your phone vibrates on your bedside table, indicating a new message.
[11:55pm] I can’t stop thinking about you either.
Attached is a photo. A photo of a familiar lacy scrap of fabric, grasped in his hand and covered in milky white cum.
It’s filthy, and wrong, and you feel yourself getting obscenely wet at the thought of him touching himself with your missing panties clutched between his fingers.
Maybe just one more time.

“where's my baby?”
those three words kept echoing all throughout the compound this morning. most of the team were up and awake to welcome bucky, steve, and sam who just arrived home from their week long mission.
but his baby was missing.
“oh, god. here he goes again.” sam shook his head, fatigue written all over his face, but a bit of amusement from bucky's behaviour still shining through. he couldn't deny how admirable bucky's adoration for you was.
“calm down, punk." steve pat his shoulder reassuringly. “i'm sure she's here somewhere.”
“yeah, but where?” bucky asks again. “i haven't seen her for a week. i miss her.”
“you think he remembers her name?" clint jokingly asked.
“she has multiple names, remember?” tony answered. “baby, sweetheart, love, sweets, and.. what's the other one? i swear, there's another, or maybe two?”
before one of them could find the answer, bucky popped right in front of them to ask another question.
“is my baby okay?” his brows were all scrunched up, genuinely worried about you. “did you tell her i was coming home? i told her before we took off. why isn't she here? she's always—”
“okay, lover boy. your baby is alright, she's still sleeping in your room, i think.” tony answered him, finally calming him down. “and can you call her by her name when it's just us around? we're starting to think that you forgot what her actual name is."
“what? she's my only baby, it's not that hard to figure it out." bucky shrugged, causing at least three of the avengers to run their hands through their face at his answer. “and why is she still asleep? is she sick?"
natasha raised her hand, a guilty smile on her face. “i'm the reason for that. i made her stay up late with me last night to watch five seasons of a show we discovered accidentally,” she explained, a proud smile now replacing her guilty one. “she might be a little cranky from the lack of sleep, so you better have something for her when she wakes up.”
“oh, i do.” bucky grinned like he already knew what to give her and was prepared for it. “all of you might want to leave the tower for the entire day if you don't want to hear me giving it to her.”
what used to be the shouts of bucky looking for you were now replaced with the grunts and complaints of the team because of bucky's answer.

Dreams | Arthur Morgan/Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count : 1.1k Summary : Arthur starts having dreams of starting a family with you Warnings/tags : Cursing, fluff, mention of infidelity, just Arthur being a sweet guy <3
He knows he shouldn’t feel like this. Shouldn’t be having these thoughts, because all they are just dreams. They’re never going to become a reality. Not when they’re constantly on the move, running from place to place. He sees the way it affects Jack, poor kid, not knowing what the hell is going on. And his daddy doesn’t exactly help him understand.
He can’t even say he would be a better father, he wasn’t before.
Hell you two ain’t even married yet, and he’s not that much of a fool. Not anymore. His regret for not marrying Eliza weighs heavily on him most days, even if he didn’t love her in that way. Now you on the other hand, he loves you more than anything. More than this stupid gang, more than life itself. He would happily lay down his life if he knew you would be happy, safe.
When these thoughts enter his head, he can’t say. His days sort of blend together, making it hard to pinpoint. Although seeing you interact with Jack doesn’t help.
You are so sweet, so motherly, hell you even mother the younger folks in the gang. Soft touches, kind words, but internally strong. You have all the qualities he finds attractive in a woman. Somehow you fell for him just as hard as he fell for you.
But he ain’t a fool, he knows this ain’t the right time or place. So instead he writes down all these dreams in his journal, his safe place. The place where he can say anything without being judged. He dreams of little girls, he didn’t know how to interact with Isaac. Too afraid of being his own father. Girls seem less daunting, and a little you would be perfect. He already has one angel, what’s one more?
He comes up with the name while north of Brandywine Drop. The bright purple flowers caught his eye just off the trail.
Violet.
Violet Beatrice Morgan.
His heart sings, scribbling the name down in the margins of his journal. He finds himself writing VM in his journal, smiling foolishly to himself. It’s beautiful, his precious flower.
It’s not like you meant to snoop. You were looking for Arthur, since he was nowhere to be found. You entered his tent, which in reality wasn’t much of a tent at all, finding his journal open. You walked over to it, looking over the worn page. There were the normal doodles he drew, along with his flowing hand writing. But one thing stood out to you, a pair of initials circled by hearts. VM.
You furrowed your brows, you couldn’t think of anyone you knew with the initials VM. Those definitely weren’t your initials either.
With your curiosity peaked you flipped through a couple more pages. VM was written everywhere, along with those damn little hearts.
You felt that green little monster grow inside you the further you looked into his journal. Biting your cheek so hard you could taste blood. It did nothing to quench the fire inside of you.
“Darlin?” Arthur called walking into the so-called tent. You dropped the journal back onto the table, turning to face him. “There you are.” He grinned walking towards you.
“Here I am.” You said forcing a smile.
“Hosea said you were looking for me.” He said softly, reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, "Anything you need?”
“Must have forgot.” You said with a noncommittal shrug, “I ought to get back to work.” You nod walking past him. Arthur furrowed his brow at your attitude. Did he say something to offend you?
Then his eyes fall onto his open journal. His stomach drops at the sight. Jesus, you saw. You saw all of it. You were probably thinking the worst, seeing the initial surrounded by hearts. How was he gonna fix this?
You stomped off to the edge of camp, trying to wrack your brain as to who this VM could be. And why was Arthur drawing hearts beside the initials? Maybe you had this all wrong, Arthur would never do anything to hurt you. He was a good man, a man you could trust. Wasn't he?
“Y/n!” He called trailing behind you, a crestfallen expression on his face. You stopped at the tree lining, biting your lip as you turned to face him. “I can explain.”
“I’m sure you can.” You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest.
“I-“ He sighed looking down, pinching the bridge of his nose as he let out a low curse.
“Who is she?” You asked clenching your jaw. He furrowed his brows looking up at you.
“What?” He asked, his hands settling on his hips.
“VM, the girl you keep drawing hearts around. Who is she?” You were blunt, something he loved so much. Always telling it like it is, never leaving him to guess your feelings. A small smile spread on his face, which only made you more mad. “Seriously, you think this is funny?” You hissed, taking a step towards him. Arthur only had one choice, to tell you the truth.
“Violet.” He said softly, reaching for you. “Violet Morgan.” You let him wrap his hand around your forearm, pulling you close to his chest.
“Who is Violet Morgan?” You asked, swallowing thickly. He sighed, looking off to the side, wetting his lips.
“She’s uh-“ He shook his head, a nervous smile on his lips. “She’s not exactly real, not yet at least.” He said.
You shook your head, brows knitted together, “Not real? The hell you mean, not real?”
“I-“ He rubbed the back of his neck looking down, “It’s uh- shit.”
“Spit it out Morgan.” You huff throwing your arms up.
“I thought of a name,” He explained, “A name for a girl if we- if we have one some day.” He said with a shrug, his cheeks flushed, almost as though he had been in a scuffle.
Oh.
If we have one some day.
“Oh Arthur.” You said softly, a smile spreading across your face. Feeling suddenly very foolish for doubting your man. “That's so sweet.” You took a step forward, tilting his face up to look at you.
“Yeah?” He asked, looping his fingers in his gun belt.
“Yeah.” You repeated, nodding. “Jesus you had me scared you were gonna tell me you found someone else.” You chuckled, shaking your head.
“Never. There ain’t no one else in this goddamn world that could replace you.” He said his hand reached up to cup your face. “You’re uh- you’re it for me darlin.” His bright blue eyes peered into yours, love and affection pouring out in his expression. “When we have our girl.” You said brushing away a stray strand of honey brown hair, “Violet will be a perfect name.” He grinned, wrapping a hand around your waist.
“Guess it’s settled then.” He said as he leaned down to press his lips against yours.

Before The First Light
Tumblr media
Rating: T Word count: 884 words Tags: Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, nightmares, minor injuries, Steve Rogers needs a hug, (light?) angst
Written for @catws-anniversary || March 26 prompts: on your left, PTSD, endurance
Tumblr media
He’s running.
Steve’s running so fast that even with the serum coursing through his veins, his lungs are starting to burn with the strain of exertion. He barely pays any attention to the bullets whistling past him, dodging and weaving to avoid them, almost just on instinct. It is on instinct. There isn’t much time to think about anything but getting out.
The place is a fucking maze though, so it’s taking longer than he’d planned.  So much for that damn song, he thinks, almost laughing at the irony. So much for being the man with a plan.
He presses on, through endless corridors twisting and turning, Hydra soldiers hot on his heels. Steve thinks that maybe they’ve finally figured it out, judging from the screaming and cursing. That he’s just a diversion so the other Howlies could go to work.
By now, they’ve definitely set the place to blow.  By now, Steve should’ve made his way out.
A bullet grazes his shoulder, but he tries to ignore the searing pain as he pushes himself harder, his heart hammering in his chest.
Suddenly, he’s outside, the building exploding behind him. He’s hit with a blast of air, pressure, heat, but it just propels him forward faster. There’s still no time to think.
There’s more cursing and shouting. This time it’s not in German though.
It’s in a heavy Brooklyn accent, his favorite in all the fucking world.
“Are you fuckin kidding me? Are you tryin’ to get blown to pieces? For fuck’s sake Rogers!!”
“Just brushing up on my German,” he yells back as he gets closer and closer to the source of the cursing and shouting. “You know, they’d call you an Arsch-”
“Don’t you even think ab- fuck, Stevie, watch out! Three at your 9 o’clock!”
Steve twists and turns to the right, still running towards the treeline that Bucky is shouting at him from.  He doesn’t slow down or turn back - he’s made that mistake before and gotten an earful - as Bucky takes out the Hydra goons with his rifle.
He doesn’t slow down or turn back until he gets to Bucky’s position. That’s where he draws the line. Steve’s not ever going anywhere without him.
By the time he comes to a stop, Bucky has taken care of the last stragglers, and Steve collapses against a tree.
“Fuck.”
“Yeah, you can say that again,” Bucky grumbles as he drops down from a tree branch. “What the fuck?”
They start running again, side by side, Bucky on his left like always. There’s no benefit in sticking around. There might be more Hydra soldiers out there, and the other Howlies will definitely give them shit if they take much longer catching up to the group.
“Hmm.”
“I was this close to coming in and dragging your ass out. Did we not have a plan?”
“I was fine. I am fine, stop bitching, Buck.”
Bucky pushes his shoulder against Steve’s, and he winces. Of course, Bucky notices. “Fine, huh? I’m thinkin I should just tie myself to you so you don’t go runnin’ off making stupid ass decisions.”
“What makes you think I won’t do that with you tied to me?”
“Good point,” Bucky huffs. “You’d probably enjoy it, and then you’d just drag me int-”
The rest of his sentence gets cut off by a blood curdling scream. Steve’s heart stops. It’s Bucky.
****
Steve jolts awake.
He’s drenched in sweat, his senses still reeling. A little disoriented, he scans his dimly lit room, heart hammering against his ribcage, the image of Bucky lying motionless on the ground, blood staining the fabric of his uniform, still seared freshly into his mind.
It’s hard to ground himself. It seemed so real for a moment, like it was yesterday. But he’s not waking up in a tent in the French countryside, or on his cot back at SSR headquarters in London. He’s not waking up with-
He wakes up alone, in his DC apartment, and it’s never felt more suffocatingly small.
With a heavy sigh, Steve swings his legs over the edge of his bed.  His muscles are protesting with the weight of exhaustion that still clings to him, but there’s no point in staying in bed. It’s not like he’s gonna get much more sleep now. He knows what images he’ll see if he closes his eyes.
Instead, he forces himself out of bed, switches out of his sweat-drenched clothes and into his running gear, and makes his way out of the apartment as quickly as he can.
Running - ironically, given tonight’s dream - will help. Just to have a moment, an hour (or two) to not have to think, that’s all he needs. It doesn’t matter that it’s barely light out. He’ll be at it for a while.
Maybe he'll try a different route today. Make his way south towards the Potomac, run a couple laps around the Mall before it’s run over with tourists.
Yeah, that’s what he’ll do. The sunrise over the Mall will make a pretty sight. Not enough to dislodge the dream still haunting him, but he doesn’t think anything ever will be.
He doesn’t take much time to warm up, even if he knows he should. Soon enough, he’s running full speed.
He’s running.
Steve’s running fast, but his lungs don’t burn. His heart, though. His heart aches.

match // new perspectives universe // jake 'hangman' seresin x reader
add yourself to my taglist
part of my new perspectives series !! it will make a lot more sense if you're caught up on these two:
prologue - one - two - three - four - five - six - seven - eight - nine
word count: 4.8k
warnings: language, mention of alcohol, college/med school/residency inaccuracies (I didn't go to college and it shows lol any and all knowledge on any of this comes from tiktok or greys anatomy)
Tumblr media
Sitting at your vanity (if you could even call a plastic set of drawers with a handheld mirror duct taped to the back a vanity) you briefly thought to yourself that you should be excited… and you were, for the most part. Today was one of those days that marked the start of a new chapter. You’d been lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you looked at it) to have had a few of these already… first opening your acceptance letter into college, then med school, and now you were getting ready to find out where you had been matched for residency.
The excitement and nerves you were feeling were subdued because really the only thing you could focus on was the fact that the only person you wanted here wasn’t… and you didn’t know where he was. He could have been on a ship halfway across the world or at a base a handful of hours away but in the end it didn’t really matter much… he wasn’t here, and that was just part of the deal. You knew what this was long before it got to this point, and that point was only accentuated by the floppy haired boy walking into your dorm just as you stood from your spot in front of the window to change.
“Well, don’t you just look darling,” he teased and on another day you might have laughed… struck a pose and had a witty comeback, something about ratty college tees and soffe shorts being on all the runways these days, but it wasn’t another day. It was today and your future was hinging on something written in an envelope waiting for you across campus and this boy wasn’t the one you wanted teasing you today.
You undressed and stood with your back to him, a silent request for him to help zip your dress and he obliged just as quietly. There was an expiration date on you and Matt, this much you knew… but the way his fingers trailed down your arm and the lingering question he’d been asking all month told you he wasn’t on the same page. He had a vision for his life, one that very much included you and perhaps you felt a little guilty for continuing to keep him in your orbit but the more logical part of you reminded you that the vision you had for your life had been set in stone long before he showed up. He saw residency right here in California, with you by his side. He saw you switching your area of focus to general medicine, something less demanding to create room for starting a family, something you’d do within the next few years. You hadn’t had the heart yet to tell him that sounded like your own personal hell.
Your vision was Boston, in a cutthroat surgical residency program before moving on to whatever hospital offered the best fellowship for your chosen specialty… that was the one area of your life you’d yet to nail down. Most of your peers pursuing the surgical route knew what they wanted to focus on, some vying for cardio or neuro, others trauma or general but not you. That was the one thing you were leaving up to fate, deciding to instead let yourself make that decision a few years into residency… and if that fellowship happened to come along where the boy you missed more than anything was stationed? Well, you wouldn’t be one to complain. The vision didn’t include Matt, it never did.
And so, as you turned to face him with a tight smile you wanted more than anything to tell him this was over, that it would be best to head into residency as individuals but then you saw that look on his face and you couldn’t do it right now… not right before finding out whether or not you were getting everything you’d spent the last eight years working towards (seven for you, but you wouldn’t point that out to him anymore than you already had). You’d wait until after, even if that meant walking into the ceremony with someone you had already decided you wouldn’t be seeing after today.
“Hey, did you guys get settled okay?” you asked your parents as you set your bag down on the table and exchanged quick hugs. You’d already seen them this morning when they’d arrived and they’d decided to give you a little space to get ready.
“Your mother has taken photos of about a dozen things at the hotel, taking notes for our upcoming remodel which… I was just informed of this morning,” your dad said and you laughed. Matt said his hellos before going off to find his own parents and you rolled your eyes at the look your dad fixed you with. “He’s still around?”
“Oh hush,” you replied. Your purse started ringing and you fished around lip gloss and old flashcards to find your phone, immediately feeling more settled at the voice on the other end.
“Hey you,” Jake said and you actually let out a sigh of relief. “How are you feeling?”
“Oh me? You know, cool as a cucumber. Not freaking out at all,” you answered with a small laugh and he just chuckled.
“Of course not, not like there’s anything big going on today.”
“Definitely not, just a normal day around here,” you said.
“I just wanted to call and tell you to breathe, because you forget to do that sometimes-”
“I do not-”
“Yes you do, and to remind you that no matter where you end up you’re going to be just fine.”
“Thank you,” you said softly. “I know you can’t say where you are but I hope you’re flying safe today,” you added.
“Always do, sweetheart. I’ll call you tonight, yeah?”
“You better.” you said with a smile as you hung up and put your phone on silent just as the announcer gave the two minute warning. You could practically feel the rising tension in the room, a mix of nervous excitement and pure dread. So many fates contained within tiny envelopes and as you picked yours up you found the whole notion of this rather silly. You felt bad for anyone who got news they didn’t want today, having to find out in a room full of people celebrating and you prayed to a god you weren’t sure you even believed in you wouldnt be one of them.
“I think I’m going to, uh…” you started, looking at your parents and then back at the envelope in your hand. “I’m going to just take a minute and open it myself, if that’s okay?” you asked hesitantly and they nodded.
“Whatever you want, honey,” your mom replied and you turned around as the announcer told everyone to open them. You took a deep breath, because you did forget to breathe in times of stress, and with shaking hands practically ripped the envelope apart to pull out a folded piece of paper… a piece of paper that you hoped contained two specific words.
Massachusetts General.
Your shaking hands persisted as you read and reread what was right in front of you. Massachusetts General. You blinked and read again, did it really say that? Massachusetts General.
“Oh my god-” you started as you turned around to show your parents with the paper facing outwards but they were gone. Really they’d only stepped a few feet to the side but they, and everyone else in the room, may as well have disappeared because all you could focus on was him, standing right there in front of you in his dress whites looking so proud as he read the words in your hands that quickly fell to the floor in shock. “Jake?” you asked so quietly, your mind still not catching up but it didn’t matter, in an instant you were launching yourself at him and he caught you with ease as you wrapped around him.
“Hey you,” he repeated his words from just a few minutes ago on the phone and you let out a sound that was mixed with a laugh and a sob as you clung to him. “You did it, I knew you would.”
“What the hell are you doing here?” you asked as you pulled away slightly to look down at him and he just beamed up at you.
“You didn’t really think I’d miss this, did you?” he replied and you just smiled, but it was quickly wiped away as you heard someone clear their throat behind you and you didn’t need to look to know who it was as you slid down Jake’s body to the floor and turned to see Matt, who was looking at the pair of you skeptically.
“Jake’s here,” he said, trying to muster some kind of enthusiasm but it fell flat, “yay.” You stifled a chuckle as you looked at him expectantly, “I matched here, what about you?” You knew what was coming as you took the paper your dad held out for you and Matt nodded softly when he read it. “I thought we talked about staying here for residency?” You didn’t miss the way Jake scoffed behind you, clearly disgusted that that was the first thing out of his mouth.
“You talked about it, Matt… I was always clear about my goals.” you said firmly. “But this is what we’ve both been working for. Congratulations, really,” you said, wrapping him in a tight but quick hug. “Go, celebrate with your family. I’ll see you at the party later.” you finished, nudging him off and  when you turned around Jake was giving you the most unimpressed look.
“Don’t even, I will not be seeing him at the party later, if you must know.”
“Is that so?” he asked with a smirk and you rolled your eyes as he chuckled.
“Congratulations, sweetheart,” your mom said, pulling you in for a hug.
“We’re so proud of you,” your dad added, pressing a kiss to the top of your head and you went to respond, to thank them for everything they’ve done for you but they didn’t give you the chance. “Go celebrate and spend time together, and have fun at the party tonight.”
“What? No, you guys flew all this way… I thought we could go out for dinner-”
“Hush, you two have some catching up to do,” your mom replied. “Besides, I think whatever celebrations you get up to tonight are best kept from us,” she added with a knowing smile and you tried to fight your own.
“We’ll do breakfast, just the four of us like old times… but we won’t wake you too early,” your dad said and you watched as Jake gave them hugs before they slipped away.
When they left he turned to look at you, all pride and adoration, and you flushed under his gaze as you gave him a look that said what? “You fucking did it, Jupiter.”
“I fucking did it,” you replied, your laughter bright and uncontrollable as he lifted you from the ground and spun you around.
Tumblr media
“How’d he take it?” Jake asked as you entered your dorm, and you chuckled as you took him in, sprawled out across your bed, one leg hanging off the side because he simply didn’t fit.
“About as well as could be expected,” you said and he laughed as he sat up.
“So… not well at all?” He laughed again when you nodded. “Tell me about this party we’re going to.”
“It’s pretty standard, I expect things will go as they always do with a campus party… just a little more celebratory with a slight drinking to numb the pain vibe from some.”
He nodded, “all your friends got what they were hoping for?”
“For the most part… a few didn’t get exactly what they wanted but that’s kind of how it goes… matching is about a little bit of hard work and a shit ton of luck.”
“So, I’m guessing dress whites aren’t the vibe for tonight?” he asked, watching as you discarded your jewelry onto your desk and you chuckled as you turned and walked towards him, stopping in between his legs.
“Not at all,” you said with a shake of your head and you laughed again as he pouted and rested his hands on the backs of your thighs. “But they were a nice touch, you look very official and handsome,” you added on, hoping to turn his frown upside down.
And you did, he looked up at you with that same look he’d given you in the event hall. “I know you know this, but I really am so fucking proud of you, J,” he said and you softly smiled, feeling crimson creep onto your cheeks and you quickly diverted, trying to break some of the intimacy of the moment by pulling the hat from his head and plopping it on your own.
“Well, you should be, cowboy,” you said, stepping back and grabbing two beers from the mini fridge that doubled as a nightstand, handing one to him and he looked at you expectantly as you both cracked them open. “Because your best friend got into the fucking brig,” you said as you clinked the cans together and he let out a few cheers before taking a generous gulp.
He stayed by your side as you got ready together, only engaging in a few quarrels due to the lack of space that only got smaller when your roommate Katie showed up, and you couldn’t help your amusement as the two of them got on each other's last nerves. Their relationship was very akin to that of siblings, they’d scream at each other through the phone on facetimes when the other was pulling too much of your attention and on the rare visits Jake managed she’d spend the whole trip pouting about how no one else existed when he was here.
“Are we not going to this party together, Katie?” you said, interrupting her latest spiel about Jake’s evilness, as she put it, and she held her hands up in surrender as you laughed. She put on a good show but you knew she liked having Jake around, it meant she got to see more of her favorite version of you… party Jupiter. And party Jupiter was in full effect as you strolled down the street lined with fraternity houses. The parties you attended these days were typically on the other side of campus and not quite as rowdy, you couldn’t even remember the last time you’d been down here but it had been negotiated that the frats held parties for the med students this year, to give you all one more truly college party before everyone went their separate ways into a new journey of adulthood.
“You’ve been here before, right?” you asked Jake as you watched him mix you a drink and he nodded.
“Mmhm, your third year of undergrad,” he answered and you snorted.
“Oh god, yeah,” you briefly reminisced on that party, one with no cause, and the shocked look on Jake’s face most of the night. As it turned out, you had actually been understating just how much Stanford kids like to party that day on the phone all those years ago. You mingled with Jake in tow, socializing with friends you hadn’t seen since the beginning of the year to due rotations and interviews across the country, and really emphasizing the fact that you wouldn’t see each other for a number of years after tonight in your drunken states much to Jake’s amusement.
You weren’t much of an emotional drunk but that didn’t seem to be the case tonight… Probably something about the finality of it all, going from college to med school didn’t seem like a huge transition for you because you stayed in the same place, but this was different. After graduation next week you’d be packing up and moving across the country, to somewhere that couldn’t be more different than where you were, and you would officially be a doctor.
Jake watched as you let loose, cackling with friends about professors or that one time you stole a dozen mice because you couldn’t bear the thought of them being used for research (and you maintained that you’d been in the right each time it was brought up). The last time he’d come to visit you’d been so entrenched in your coursework he actually became worried, watching you study for hours on end from your bed as he realized this is what your life was. You’d always done a good job at completing everything before he arrived so you could focus on the fun but that visit just wasn’t the case… There were exams to prep for and applications to be sent out and interviews to be scheduled, and all he could do was half-heartedly read a book he’d plucked from your shelf about internal medicine and force you to come up for air every now and again.
But this time was completely different, there was nothing to worry about because you were done. You’d gotten to the end of your journey here at Stanford and were in that blissful reprieve period where there truly was nothing to fret over, and it simultaneously warmed Jake’s heart and broke it to see. On one hand, you were finally getting a true break after years of achingly hard work… but on the other that break would only last a few days before you went into a tizzy packing to move cross country and start your residency. He knew you were happy, and that you would be happy in Boston but he also knew things were only about to get harder, and that a few days of true relief weren’t enough.
Granted, this wasn’t how you felt, despite the fact that as you downed your drink and chatted with Katie about her upcoming move to Nashville you had no idea this was going through his head… you felt nothing but joy knowing that you got to spend the next few days with Jake before diving into your future. Residency is what you feel you’d waited your whole life for. You did the hard stuff, you laid the foundation and stuffed your nose in a book for years and now you were finally going to be able to do.
“I think I might actually miss these parties,” you said as you sat down by the edge of the pool with a sigh, unclasping your heels and actually moaning in relief as you dipped your feet into the cool water and Jake chuckled beside you.
“I find that shocking considering that after that one your third year you said you never wanted to set foot on this block again.”
“I’ve grown, things have changed,” you protested which coaxed another laugh from him. “God, I can’t believe I’m leaving this place soon. It almost feels like just yesterday I showed up here with nothing but a suitcase and a dream. And you! Mr. Top Gun graduate,” you added, nudging him playfully.
“Don’t let Coyote hear you, he’ll bust my chops even more than he already has.”
“I miss Coyote,” you said, leaning your head on his shoulder. “Are you going home for Christmas this year?” you asked and this took him slightly by surprise, considering it was spring and he didn’t expect you to be looking forward to anything other than residency.
“I don’t think so… the way it lines up I’d have to fly in on Christmas Eve and leave the day after… I think the short trips make my mom sadder than me not going home at all.”
“They do,” you said. “For my parents too. I don’t know why but they do. What do you think about me coming to you this year? If you’re on base.”
“I think that sounds perfect,” he replied, turning to press a kiss on the top of your head. “I’m sorry I can’t stay for graduation,” he said and you lifted your head to shake it, waving your hand dismissively.
“Truthfully I don’t care about graduation, it’s more for my parents and yours. This was the important one,” you replied, giving him a warm smile. “I still can’t believe you pulled off surprising me. How long have you known you’d be able to make it?”
“Since you first told me the day,” he answered and your eyes widened as you hit his chest.
“You asshole! You made me think you couldn’t come and this was your plan all along? I was really sad, you know.”
He let out a loud laugh, “yeah, I know. But it was worth it! The look on your face was priceless.”
“You’re unbelievable,” you muttered.
“Had to get you back for my tap out ceremony somehow,” he pointed out and you sighed, because he did have a point.
“That’s fair. Though, I could argue that it was a surprise for me as well, mine was not premeditated.”
“To-mato to-mato,” he replied. “So, when do you make the big move?”
“Well, tomorrow you’ll be helping me scout apartments, tough part is I’ll have to pick a place sight unseen so we’re going to have to be very thorough in our search and then hopefully I’ll be out there within three weeks… My program starts in four.”
“Unless a last minute deployment pops up, I think I can meet you out there… help you get settled and all that.”
“Really?” you asked, eyes wide and full of hope as you beamed up at him and he chuckled, knowing you were definitely drunk right now. “Seeing you twice in one month? I don’t think we’ve gotten that lucky since we were teenagers.”
“Well, I don’t know about that,” he said with a suggestive raise of his eyebrows and you were startled by your own laugh, not expecting the turn in conversation.
“That’s right, forgot I was talking to Hangman, eternal stud.” you joked. Briefly you thought joking about it should sting, and deep down maybe it did a little, but this was the first time it’s come up and the sting wasn’t the first thing you noticed.
“You haven’t done so bad for yourself either,” he said and you just gave him a deadpan glare.
“Really? You think Matt was making me feel lucky every time?” you asked and he went through the same range of emotions. He thought it should hurt, and it did somewhere deep down, but it wasn’t the first thing he noticed.
“He wasn’t? Then what was the point?” he exclaimed and you hid your face in embarrassment.
“Oh, I don’t know! Truthfully it spiraled and I didn’t have time for anything else so…” you trailed off before letting out a groan. “Oh god, I’m a terrible person.”
“Now, how did we end up there?” he asked, brows furrowing in confusion at your statement.
“I knew all along I’d dump him right about now, how awful to not do it so much sooner.”
He shrugged, “maybe… but knowing you he did get lucky every time so don’t feel too bad. Broken heart or not he reached the mountaintop, good for him.”
“That’s a better, if not slightly twisted, way of looking at things.” you mused, resting your head on his shoulder again.
“Tired?” he asked and you nodded. “Don’t quite have the stamina of an undergrad anymore?”
“Shut up,” you said. “It’s been an emotional day.”
“Wanna go home?” he asked and you nodded, allowing yourself to be pulled up and you awkwardly shook your leg over the pool to rid yourself of excess water, to which he just shook his head in amusement.
You spent the walk back towards your dorm lost in conversation, giggling about nothing in particular and squealing when he picked you up and tossed you over his shoulder, “Jake! I’m too drunk, don’t make me hurl,” you laughed but he didn’t seem to care, carrying you like it was nothing until suddenly you were on the move again, sliding down to the ground with Jake’s firm hands on your waist to guide you. Your brows furrowed in confusion when you noticed you weren’t at your dorm but instead in front of a shiny car.
“I love Katie,” he started, but was cut off by the questioning look you gave him, “really, I do, but you didn’t really think I was crashing in your dorm, did you?” he asked and he did have a point… the last time he visited she was on rotation so he crammed himself onto her tiny bed and complained all the next day… there simply wasn’t anywhere for him to be this time around. “I have a hotel room a few blocks away, do you want to come stay with me? Or I can walk you back to your room,” he added the last part a little hurriedly and you chuckled, you thought you just caught a glimpse of a younger Jake… nervous and not wanting to overstep.
“Are you kidding me?” you asked, gesturing towards the door and he was quick to open it for you, “a night away from that thing they call a bed sounds like heaven.”
“And here I thought you just wanted to spend more time with me,” he said after walking around and getting in the driver’s side.
“Well, that’s certainly part of it… just not the main part,” you teased and he shook his head as he navigated towards his hotel and you looked over at him in amusement when you entered the parking lot. “Very fancy, Mr. Seresin,” you said as he opened the door for you and he extended his hand which you gladly took.
“Shut up and come on,” he replied and you did as you were told. Following him through the hotel and to the elevator, where they opened to reveal a cozy and beautifully decorated rooftop bar and you just looked over at him, eyes wide and questioning. “Tonight was a goodbye to your college life, and I thought what better way to end it than here, welcoming in this next chapter?”
“Jake…” you started, the lingering alcohol in your system still present enough to have you feeling a little more emotional than usual. You sat at a cozy loveseat positioned in front of a firepit and thanked the waiter when he brought over your cocktails, gin and tonic for you and something whiskey based for Jake.
“To you, Jupiter. You’ve worked so hard the past seven years, and you never once wavered when things got hard. You are nothing short of incredible, and being here with you right now, marking this occasion… it means a lot to me, and I’ll never stop being proud of you.” he said, and you felt your eyes well with tears that mirrored his own.
“Stop, you can’t cause then I’ll really lose it,” you warned, laughing softly as you wiped your cheeks. “Thank you… not just for saying that but for being you, and for being here. I was a wreck all morning and then I turned around and saw you and everything felt… settled. You being here means more than you know.” you said and you clinked your glasses together before taking a sip. “I’m really proud of us.” you said added a few moments of silence. “Do you remember the day we decided to break up?”
“Vividly,” he chuckled and you couldn’t help but laugh too.
“God, we were so young, with such big dreams… and going into it all so devastated… I wish we could go back and tell them it wouldn’t be for nothing, that we made it.”
“We did make it didn’t we?” he asked and you nodded, a smile creeping onto your face. He reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear and you didn’t know if it was the weighty realization that seven years ago you broke each other’s hearts to pursue the dreams you’d just achieved or the alcohol or just the fact that you simply wanted to but you leaned forward and let your lips brush against his. Soft and questioning but he pressed forward and captured you in a searing kiss. Years of pent up emotion and love spilling out, and you smiled when he chased your lips as you pulled away.
You didn’t need to say anything, didn’t need to acknowledge any of it. You both knew it didn’t change anything, you both might have made it but only to the next stepping stone… it still wasn’t the time. You kissed him once more before scooting closer and resting your head on his shoulder, his arm wrapping around your waist as you just enjoyed the moment for what it was. A celebration of what was to come.

Dearie~ Pt. 4
Alastor x Singer! Reader
Summary: A pot left to boil may simmer over at some point, and Vox is about to learn that lesson.
Trigger Warnings: Physical Violence (Against Reader), Abuse, Coercion, Kidnapping, Restraint, and Manipulation
Word Count: 1395
"Satan! Why are you so difficult! I do e̵̙̕ṽ̶̘͝ė̸͉̼̍ṟ̷͋y̴̥͑t̷̥̝̿̄h̵̛̳ǐ̵͍͈̉n̶̢̋g̴͙͈̐͛ for you and t̵̝̔h̵̘̉ḯ̸͈s̴̫̓ is how you repay me, you b̷̟͝i̶͓͝ṫ̷͉c̸͎̐h̵̼̅" Every buffered word reverberated through the room, each syllable a heavy step that brought Vox closer. He loomed over you, a shadow casting its weight upon your curled-up form in the dimly lit corner. The air crackled with tension as the pungent scent of demon rage filled the confined space.
"If you would just listen," Vox's voice resonated, carrying a mix of frustration and desperation. His plea hung in the air, a haunting echo of a desire for understanding. “I wouldn’t have to do this”
His foot stomped against your temple, and your whole world went dark before you could even make a sound.
~~~
In the end Alastor ended up back at the hotel, right back where he started. His Darling, still trapped, and possibly worse off then she was before, with no way out.
As Alastor pondered the plan he toyed with, a heavy sigh escaped him. The weight of the decision settled in his chest. He hesitated, knowing the gravity of the steps he was about to take. Yet, for the sake of his dear, he knew he had no other choice.
~~~
Alastor asked his old friend Zestial to call a meeting. There stood all of the relevant overlords of the Pride Ring, minus the Vees. Luckily all of them just so happened to be friendly with him, and or loved his Darling. She was a charmer and that did not end with run of the mill demons on the street.
"Why have you called us here, Alastor" Carmilla was straight to the point, and obviously had better things to be doing.
"During my seven-year hiatus," Alastor began, his tone measured, "my Dearie struck a deal with Vox. She's in trouble, and I require your assistance to bring her back." The room fell silent as the overlords absorbed the weight of his words, their expressions shifting from curiosity to concern.
The Overlords scooted in closer and unanimously agreed that they would help, not just for Alastor’s sake but for the sake of their friend.
Alastor supposed it was time to get down to business.
~~~
When you woke up you felt real restraints tying you to a chair. A pair of handcuffs linked each arm to their armrest, and your legs were duct taped together.
"Finally you're up!" Vox jumped from the box he was sitting on, looking up from scrolling on his phone, "Good, I thought I lost you there"
You tried to pull yourself free from the shackles but as you had assumed they were not budging.
You slumped back in your seat. You were well aware that seeing Alastor was a bad idea, and it wasn't going to end well. However, just in case you didn't make it you wanted to see him one last time, and hold him again even if for a moment.
"Now, I assume you're going to be a good girl and do as I say. You are going to hair and makeup to get all dolled up for a special performance on Vox-2-Nite, and you're going to perform the song I wrote for you exactly as written. You are going to show the world how grateful you are for us and then you're going to do it all over again tomorrow. Okay, doll, now you are going to be on your best behavior" He carefully unlocked one of your cuffs.
You circled your sore wrist, and once your other was free made a move to punch him right in his flat face. However, a blue chain wrapped around your wrist, and pulled you to the side.
"Ah, ah, ah, what did I say about being a good girl" He landed a swift kick to your stomach, "Pretty please will you cooperate, wouldn't want to make make-up's job harder than it already is"
He dragged you from the chain, up multiple flights of stairs, and around many hallways until you reached a dressing room.
"Fix her! She's on in an hour" He growled at the nearest make-up artist, who promptly got to work concealing your many bruises and cuts caused by Vox himself.
~~~
"Umm Alastor," Charlie tentatively called to him from the lobby, "I think you're going to want to see this"
He told the hotel about his plans right after his meeting with the other overlords. While Charlie didn't want her people to resort to violence, she knew that this was one of the rare exceptions to that idea. She knew that you were being hurt by Vox and his fellow Vees, and even though she had never met you, she knew you were special by the way Alastor cared about you.
So when Alastor appeared to question what Charlie wanted he was greeted by a horrible sight on the picture-box in front of him.
There you stood, your beautiful face obviously covered in make-up that you didn't usually wear. Your eyes sunken in, and your dress nothing like what you would normally wear. Worse of all were the handprints around your neck, and Alastor knew just who to blame for those.
As the haunting melody filled the room, each note carried the weight of the protagonist's suppressed emotions. With each word, the performance became a silent plea for freedom, the lyrics echoing the depths of a love distorted by Vox's malevolence. The protagonist's eyes, hidden behind layers of makeup, betrayed a profound sadness.
One day, I loved you, the next you were gone, Never looking back, to see if I was okay. Maybe it will be okay, but the shadows grow long, In the afterlife, a cannibal's wife, oh deer, darling, look what we've done. A pity, a shame, how the game was played, A pawn in the king's palm I shall stay. You'll see me on screen, forced to watch, As I spoil and rot, our love left to decay. Once the apple of your eye, now abandoned and cold, Never to see the light of day, your shining face I can't hold. In this twisted fate, a tragic tale unfolds, I'm tethered to the screen, where our story's been sold.
The lyrics echoed in your mind, a bittersweet reminder of the entwined fate that held you captive. The words became a mantra, a whispered promise that somewhere beyond the screen, a chance for a different ending awaited.
Oh deer, darling, the pain never subsides, In this afterlife, where love painfully hides. A cinematic nightmare, I'm forever confined, To the echoes of our past, lost in rewind. A pity, a shame, how the game was played, A pawn in the king's palm I shall stay. You'll see me on screen, forced to watch, As I spoil and rot, our love left to decay. But maybe in another life, our paths will align, Beyond the screens, where love's star will brightly shine. For now, I'll linger in this haunting reel, A cannibal's wife, trapped in a love surreal.
The melancholy tune continued and reverberated through. Everyone is listening.
Luckily you wouldn't be singing his song much longer.
~~~
As the weeks crawled by, a clandestine plan took shape in the shadows. The air crackled with anticipation, each passing day building toward an inevitable confrontation. Whispers of rebellion lingered in the halls of Vox Tower
 Vox Tower was quite literally shaking on its foundation. A radio crackle came from below your bed, and you rushed to check it.
"Alastor?"
"Get somewhere safe, mon cherie" The static cut off abruptly and the shaking became worse. All you could do was crouch in the corner and cover your neck with your hands.
~~~
"What the f̸̛̱̏̃͛̈́͋̌̍͑́͝͝ừ̴͖͍̯̥̦͔͓̿͛͌͌̽̍̂̅͝c̵̨̟̤̫̺͉̥̓̾͂̿̆̇̇̾̑͗̚k̶͈̼̑̄̋ͅ is going on!" Vox's enraged voice reverberated through Vox Tower. Val and Velvette scrambled to restore order, but Vox's control was slipping. His fortress, once an impenetrable bastion of power, now quivered under the rebellion of overlords.
"Well it seems, that the overlords are fighting back along with those cannibal bitches" Velvette tried to calmly explain the situation, but every word seemed to anger Vox more and more.
The Overlords were turning on them. Led by Alastor they were destroying televisions, VoxSecurity Stores, Billboards, anything they could get their dirty hands on. Their sights were set on Vox Tower, the epicenter of innovation in the Pride Ring. Soon they would descend upon them.

“Shhh, don’t want us getting caught like this do you?”
Robin’s voice is hushed but stern, now lifting her head from between your trembling thighs. The blonde has you spread out on a bench in the dugout, skirt shoved up around your hips as her tongue laps up everything you have to offer.
That is until a broken moan leaves your lips, unable to stop it as her fingers curl up inside you. The sound breaks through the silence, the only thing heard above the soft hum of cicadas.
“What would your little friends think, hmm?” she taunts, brow raised as she looks up at you, dirt still smeared across her cheeks from the game. “Knowing a loser is the one making you feel so good?”
In that moment you can’t find it within yourself to care anymore, gripping her hair in your fist to guide her back between your legs. “Let them.”
Robin hums, her lips drifting lower to nip at the tender skin of your thighs. The action causes another loud whimper to leave you. “You sure about that, honey?”
“I don’t care,” you admit out loud for the first time, thoughts completely overwhelmed with all things Robin.
“Fuck, I don’t care anymore,” you sigh.
Never in your wildest dreams would you think tonight would turn out like this.
You’d been watching her from the sidelines as she attempted to slide into homebase, coming up a little short. You’d never gotten to see her play before, your extracurriculars usually running at the same time. But today had been just your luck, with Chrissy spraining her ankle, immediately being rushed off to get it iced. Coach ended practice shortly after—no use continuing without the star of the squad there, right?
It gave you the perfect opportunity to watch her without raising any suspicion—two of your teammates by your side, laughing as Robin struck out. You took your lower lip between your teeth, trying not to gawk as she rose to her feet. Dusting the dirt off her thighs when she caught your eye, biting back a smirk as she made her way towards the dugout.
But not before stopping by where you were leaning against the bleachers. Right there, in front of everyone for the first time.
See, this has been going on for months. The sneaking around, the feigned rivalry.
If only they knew what was really happening behind closed doors.
Tumblr media
You first noticed her late one afternoon, walking to your car after cheer practice. Robin hadn’t even crossed your radar, barely a glance in the hallway. Too wrapped up in your own world to notice. But there was just something about the warm glow of the sunset laying against her flushed cheek. The way she found your eyes, like she knew your secret, before she spit out the shell of a sunflower seed. Chuckling as she grabbed her bat and walked off.
All you knew after that was you desperately wanted to know more. And boy, did you.
You quickly learned through word of mouth that she had been caught hooking up with some girl in the band room after school. That confirmation prompted you to start dropping her little hints. Longing glances when no one was paying attention, nods in the hallway. Sneaking out of practice early just so she’d notice you walk by. And, sure, she noticed.
But Robin wasn’t going to come easy, was she?
No, she wanted to make you work for it. To prove to her you were serious, not just another girl looking to make out with her for the thrill of it. Or some sick joke conjured up by the cheer squad to humiliate her more.
You quickly realized that your subtle hints were not going to get you what you wanted. Her.
One day you’d finally had enough, boldly slipping a note in her locker between classes. Coaxing her to meet you in the secluded alley between the gym and the cafeteria. A place you’d only used to meet a certain super senior when you wanted to buy some weed.
A spot unknown or used by the majority of the students of Hawkins High, knowing you wouldn’t be seen or heard by any curious passersby.
Part of you was worried she wouldn't show, becoming increasingly more nervous as time passed. Any lingering qualms were squashed when you saw her striding down the narrow path towards you. She looked good, her dark jeans hugging her hips just right. A button-up shirt tucked loosely into them, the top few buttons left open.
You wanted nothing more than to lean forward, closing the short distance between your bodies. Leave a trail of blues and purples along her exposed skin. And that terrified you, to know that one girl could mess you up in such a monumental way.
“So,” you mumbled, kicking a pebble with the tip of your sneaker.
“So,” she answered, crossing her arms over her chest.
Without hesitation, you introduced yourself but Robin gave you a confused look.
“Yeah, I already know who you are.”
“You do?”
“Well, we’ve gone to school together our whole lives…” she paused, running a hand through her hair, “and when a girl is practically eye-fucking you in the halls, it’s hard not to notice.”
“Oh, right,” you replied, looking down. Embarrassment washed over you. “Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted this whole thing.”
You carefully pushed off the wall, ready to walk away and pretend like this whole thing never happened. Save yourself the humiliation.
But her soft voice stopped you in your tracks.
“I wouldn't say that.”
“Then what would you say?” you asked, more confident now.
“You’re the one who asked me here,” Robin pointed out, turning the focus back to you.
And just as quickly as your confidence had risen, it fell. So you looked down again, now fiddling with the hem of your skirt.
“I don’t, um,” you struggled. “I don’t really know how to say it. I just…I…”
“Oh, just spit it out already.”
You looked up at her exasperated expression, narrowing your eyes. “Fine! Fine. Whatever. I like you, okay?”
“Like me? We’ve never spoken.”
“Don’t give me that when I’ve seen the way you look at me too.”
Robin’s hardened expression fell. “Touché.”
Silence fell between you, Robin lifting her head to look at the sky. You couldn’t help but squirm again, feeling a desperate urge to breathe in her scent.
You sighed. “So, what do we do now?”
“Hell if I know,” she replied, looking back at you. “I thought you were stuck up like the rest of your prissy friends.”
“Not when I’m around you,” you admitted, barely above a whisper. “You make me feel…different, somehow.”
“I could make it much worse for you, you know,” Robin replied, a smug grin reaching her lips as she stepped closer to you. “All you have to do is ask.”
“Please—”
“Actually, no,” Robin interrupted, fingers inching towards your hip. “You should beg.”
“Please,” you said without hesitation. “Please, Robin. I need you.”
Robin knew she shouldn’t. And so did you. But there was just something there, pressing against your chests as Robin pressed you against the brick. And when she kissed you the first time, you nearly whined in contentment, mewling softly against her mouth.
That kiss left you feeling desperate, eager for her to show you more. However, Robin wasn’t going to chase you, forcing you to take matters into your own hands. You sought her out one night after practice, pulling her into the equipment room outside the gym. Backing her body against the door, lips meeting once you heard the lock click into place.
“Just couldn’t stay away now, could you, baby?” she mumbled against your mouth, pulling a soft whine from you as she nipped at your lower lip. The noise caused her to laugh softly.
“I want you, Robs.”
She hummed in response, letting her lips trail across your jaw. “Want me how?” she prodded as the tip of her nose skimmed along your collarbone, rendering you utterly speechless.
“Show me,” she breathed, further stealing the breath from your lungs as she kissed you deeply. Taking control as she flipped your positions, enclosing you against the door.
You’re pliable under her soft touch, guiding her fingers up and underneath your pleated skirt. The blue of her irises nearly swallowed whole by her pupils as she gazed at you hungrily. That look ignited something within you, feeling emboldened as you reached forward to undo her pants. Exploring each other in a way that was unfamiliar to you, her skilled fingers helping to guide you with ease.
After that, it was just your little secret, with no one being the wiser. Why would they? You were on the opposite ends of the food chain, fractured by the Hawkins High hierarchy. Leaving little glances across the cafeteria, brushes of your fingertips in the hallway as a secret reminder of what you two had. It didn’t hurt that you could sit in class, practice, or even the shower and think about how they’d brush against your breasts later.
Of course, you couldn’t help but wind her up whenever you could be overheard. As she would gladly put you in your place in private.
But you knew as she approached you on the field with that familiar glint in her eye— you were really in for it this time.
“What’s so funny?” Robin asked, removing her gloves. You let your eyes linger on her fingers for a moment as she gripped the leather. Quickly shifting your gaze elsewhere as you pressed your thighs together.
Something the blonde didn’t miss. Holding back a smug smile as she looked between the three of you.
“You’re just such a loser,” Carol snickered, snapping her gum between her teeth.
Heather joined in with a giggle. “Yeah, maybe you should look into joining the t-ball team. Seems like a much better fit for you.”
Heather knew she struck a nerve, pleased with herself as Robin’s jaw clenched in anger.
“Oh, yeah?” Robin said, ready to egg her on. “And what do you know, Holloway? I’d like to see you do something other than shake your ass at Billy Hargrove during games. Don’t you find it pathetic how desperate you are for his attention?”
“Oh, fuck you,” Heather snapped back. “As if you are getting any. No one even knows your name.”
“You’d be surprised,” Robin replied, her eyes shifting towards you as if on instinct. “You know, I don’t recall ever seeing this one with a guy.”
“You better get back to that pitch before you strike out, Buckley,” you bit back, shooting her a warning look. “Again.”
With a shake of her head, Robin glanced behind you at your “friends” before scoffing and turning. But not before she took her cleat and scuffed up dirt onto your shiny white sneakers.
“Oops.” She laughed, giving you one last look before walking away.
Not missing a beat, Heather turned to you with a bewildered expression. “You know her name?”
You raised an eyebrow. “It’s on her uniform.”
“Oh— right,” she murmured, the conversation quickly forgotten as they discussed their plans for the night: yet another kegger at the Harrington residence. It was something you definitely weren’t interested in attending.
Though they begged you to join them, you merely shrugged and told them to go without you. They didn’t even blink before heading off, their laughter fading as quickly as it started. But you soon found yourself lost in the chatter of the crowd and the roar of the umpire.
You decided to move up, leaning against the chain-link fence, pom-poms thrown to the dirt as you watched your girl stepping up to bat again. The score had been tied, this being Hawkins High’s last chance to win the game.
As always, Robin found you again. She gave you a wink before you heard the sharp crack of the bat. You gasped along with the crowd at the sight of the ball shooting through the sky and into the parking lot.
You couldn’t help the loud cheer erupting from your lips, clapping along with the crowd as she sprinted through each base with ease. And as she slid into home and was declared safe, her eyes met yours. They followed you as she picked herself up, sweat dripping as she removed her helmet. Shaking her dampened hair out with a wide grin.
There was no longer anything inside you that beckoned you to be malicious. You could feel a swell of pride inside you, wanting nothing more than to show her just how incredible she was. How much you cared about her…and you planned on it.
Her teammates were quick to surround her, lifting her up onto their shoulders as the crowd continued to cheer. Robin was clearly embarrassed by the sudden swarm of attention, her cheeks beautifully flushed as they carried her across the field. Soaking in the glory for a few more moments before they were called to line up, shaking hands with the opposing team.
But as everyone began to clear out, you noticed Beth Wildfire hanging back, laughing near the dugout with Robin. As you moved closer, you could make out the way Beth was checking out Robin’s ass as she bent over to grab her glove.
Robin lifted her head slightly, noticing you making your way over.
“Nice win, Buckley,” Beth said, popping in a piece of gum. “We should go out and celebrate.”
“Oh, yeah?” Robin asked, a devious smile on her lips as she rose. You couldn’t stop the jealousy beginning to surface. “You think we should invite the team?”
She was making you work for it, wasn’t she?
“Actually, I thought maybe you and I could—”
“Hey, Robin,” you said, directly in Beth’s line of sight now.
Beth gave you a look, clearly annoyed by your interruption.
Good.
“Hey,” Robin greeted. “What’s up?”
“You still need that ride?” you asked, clutching your pom poms tighter in your fists.
“I’d almost forgotten,” Robin replied smugly.
“Well, uh,” Beth said, taking a step closer to Robin. “I could always take her home after heading to Benny’s.”
“No, that’s alright,” you said curtly, faking a smile as you also took a step forward. “I think I’ve got it from here.”
You and Beth exchanged glances before her eyes widened, flickering between you and Robin who was only looking at you. Beth said nothing, opting instead to give you both a quick nod. But the clear disappointment on her face brought you more joy than you cared to admit.
“I’ll see you later, then,” she said. “Again, nice win, Buckley.”
Even as she walked away, Robin never broke eye contact. “Thanks, Beth,” she called out, a grin widening on her lips.
“Ready to go, mon chéri? I’m starving.”
Hook, line, and sinker.
Tumblr media
And that’s how you ended up here, your legs draped over Robin’s shoulders as her tongue circles over your clit. One hand buried in her hair and the other clutching onto the chain link fence behind you. Her blue hues never leave your face, taking in each and every reaction she pulls from you.
“You know, you’re pretty cute when you’re jealous.” She grins, flicking the tip of her tongue over your swollen clit. Enjoying the way your body twitches with every motion.
“I wasn’t jealous.”
You breathlessly try to deny it, but you both know you’re lying. Once again letting your pride get in the way, prompting Robin to remove her tongue from your center.
“No— Robbie, please,” you whine as she pulls away fully, resting her cheek against your inner thigh as she continues to slowly thrust her fingers inside you.
She revels in the way your walls grip tightly around the digits, almost as if you’re trying to keep them trapped inside. And as much as she loves feeling you, she loves making you beg even more.
So she slips her fingers out of your dripping cunt completely. Standing up to hover over you as she brings them to your lips.
“Please what, princess?” she taunts, her fingers now slipping into your mouth. Your tongue eagerly swirling around the digits until they’re devoid of any trace of you.
Robin removes them just as fast, trailing the saliva-coated digits down your jaw until they wrap around the base of your throat. “Answer me,” her harsh tone only further dampening the area between your thighs.
“Please don’t stop,” you plead without hesitation, rocking your hips up against her thigh. A look of desperation flitting across your features as you clutch onto her shoulders.
“Aww, you wanna cum, pretty thing?” Her tone is laced with condescension, finding yourself nodding almost frantically as you gaze up at her.
“I don’t know, baby… you were pretty mean earlier.” She paused, a small pout forming on your lips as she traced over them with her thumb. “You think you deserve it?”
You nod as if on instinct, whining as she pulls away from you completely. Rising to her feet once again, grabbing your hands and pulling you up off the bench. Your breasts press together as she whispers softly in your ear, “Prove it to me, then.”
You eagerly reach for the buttons on her uniform, tugging the zipper down. Impatiently yanking her pants down over the curve of her ass as you take back control.
“Sit,” you demand, resting your hands on her shoulders. Coaxing her to take your previous position on the worn bench.
“So bossy,” she teases, gripping your hips as you swing your leg over her thigh.
Taking a seat as you slip your fingers past the elastic of her underwear, moaning at the wetness you find there.
“This all for me?” you muse, your thumb brushing over her bundle of nerves with ease now. Having become quite familiar with every inch of her body over the last three months.
“I mean… Beth was looking good tonight—”
You cut her off with your mouth before she has a chance to finish her sentence. That surge of jealousy coursing through your veins as you kiss her deeply.
“She can’t have you,” you mumble against her mouth, before taking her lower lip between your teeth and tugging. “You're all mine.”
Robin curses softly as you begin to grind your hips against her thigh, slipping two fingers into her awaiting heat. Pumping them in tandem with each rock of your hips, as she mewls against your mouth.
“Please.” Now she's the one doing the begging, despite your hips continuing to grind down against her thigh. The mixture of her saliva and your juices making a mess on her bare skin.
You giggle softly as you increase the pressure on her clit with your thumb, burying your fingers deeper inside her. “Say it again.” She moans as you attach your lips to the base of her throat.
The blonde tilts her head back to expose more of her neck as you greedily suck on her flushed skin. A feeling of pride washes over you as you leave blotches of red and purple in your wake.
“You’re mine, Robin.” Your tone is overly possessive, enjoying how her body trembles beneath you. Your words being the thing to finally send her over the edge as she pulls your face back up to crash her lips against yours.
Her fingers dig harshly into the skin of your hips, encouraging you to keep grinding on her thigh. Lifting her leg to increase the pressure on your core. “That’s it… such a good girl.”
She pulls back slightly to watch you with hooded eyes, lips lifting in a genuine smile.
“My good girl.”
Her words elicit a bigger response than either of you expected, your thighs tightening around her own as you loudly cry out her name. Her hands continue to guide you along her thigh, working you through each wave of euphoria that crashes over you.
You’re both panting as you begin to come down from your highs, nuzzling your face in the crook of her neck. “Wow,” you breathe out, lightly tracing over the darkening love bites on her neck.
“Jeez, I think the whole town heard you,” Robin teases, running her fingers along your back.
“Well,” you start, pulling back to look at her. “I’m just trying to congratulate my girl on her big win.”
“Your girl?” she teases.
You bite your lip, trying to hide your smile. “Mhm.”
“Admit it,” Robin says, lifting her eyebrows, eyes tracing the lines of your face. “You were jealous.”
“Maybe I was,” you finally admit, earning an amused smile from her. “But I don’t think I have to worry about anyone else.”
“No?”
“Mm-mm.”
You press a quick kiss to the corner of her mouth before standing, helping her to her feet. Leaning back against the fence as she wiggles her pants back up over her hips.
Robin is still fastening the buttons as you walk out onto the field. Her eyes follow your figure as you reach the pitcher's mound. A fond look falls over her features as your eyes flutter shut, letting the last glow of the setting sun soak into your pores.
Feeling the weight of her stare, you turn back around. Flashing her a beaming smile as she finally reaches you on the field.
“So… Benny’s?” you ask, twisting your skirt back into place. “I’m actually starving now.”
Robin looks at you in utter disbelief as she places her hat back on her head, the brim facing the opposite direction. “Wait, you’re serious? What if someone sees us together?”
You can’t stop the giggle that leaves you, now closing the few feet separating you from her. Cupping her face in between your palms as you press another kiss to her lips.
Right in the middle of the open field.
“I told you,” you say, louder this time. “Let them see us. I don’t give a fuck anymore.”
You slip your hand into hers, lacing your fingers as you begin leading her towards your car. A sight to see, her bat and glove in her unoccupied hand. Your pom-poms in yours.
“You were still an asshole earlier, you know that?” Robin says.
As you share a laugh, you swing your intertwined hands back-and-forth. You’re practically skipping as you pull her along, light-hearted and winded.
“And you ruined my sneakers,” you counter. “Are you gonna clean them for me?”
“Only if you’re good, mon chéri.”
“I think I can manage that,” you reply as you venture further into the twilight. “At least for a little bit.”

Waking up to the eerie sensation of strangeness all around you, opening your eyes on an all consuming darkness you had never known before brought an overwhelming sense of panic when you reached up to remove the fabric you now acknowledged covering your eyes only to have those same hands brought back down to the bedsheets by another.  Struggling now against this intruder's hold before opening your mouth to scream out for help you knew would never come, a warm mouth descending upon yours brought the stark reality of what lay before you into frightening clarity.
At least until the stranger spoke.
Pulling back from your mouth while now running his hands along your arms, he waited just a breath for you to stop moving as his words, and as a result his identity, finally hit you.  Andy had found you.  Oh sure, it's not as if you were actively running from him.  Why should you?  But if you were being honest after all you had been through dealing with another man had not exactly been something you were ready to dive back into ..... even if it was just dinner.  After all, how many times did men in Andy Barber's profession or of his caliber for that matter write off their fees for a simple dinner.  No, it was safe to say he was looking for something more and right now more was not something you were willing to entertain.
You wanted freedom.  You wanted fun.  You wanted to do whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted without having to plan, make apologies or excuses.  But it seemed Andy took your promise seriously.
"Did you really think I wouldn't be able to track you down, gorgeous?  You promised me a date.  One dinner and a night of your glowing company for making sure your deadbeat ex was out of your life for good.  Surely you haven't forgotten?" he now asked before rolling you over onto your side and slipping his body beside yours.  Spooning you closer now as he continued talking about how all he wanted to do was to show you not all men were the assholes you were used to but this didn't really get him the reaction he was hoping for.
"Not all assholes?  Have you lost your mind?" you asked as your voice finally worked now that you had stopped fighting him and Andy in turn seemed happy with the way things were going.  "You break in here, blindfold me and hold me down against my will while my bed covers I assume lay scattered on the floor.  You really think you're not being an asshole right now?" you continued, but stopped short when a laugh rumbled through his chest, vibrated against your back and settled in your own.
It seemed he thought you were being funny.
Kissing softly against your neck now as his hands continued to soothe you while the blindfold held fast and made everything feel more intense, you had no idea just what lay in store until Andy spoke again.  It seemed he had really done his homework before taking your case to the point where he had somehow discovered the feelings you harbored towards him and the fantasies your overactive imagination had conjured up about him.  You wanted him.  Deeply.  Badly.  Intimately.  Nights spent alone after a fight with your ex who had once again gambled away the week's rent or not fixed something he had promised you weeks ago he would and thoughts of Andy had quickly invaded your dreams and taken on a life you never imagined.
Moving next door after the tragic events that had altered his life beyond recognition, Andy had been only too happy to help out with any tasks that proved too much for you and often gave a willing ear when conversations inevitably made their way to the man sharing your life while treating you worse than the dog poo fouling Mrs. Delaney's front lawn.  No, if Andy had his way your deadbeat boyfriend would soon be a distant memory and then he would find a way to become a permanent fixture in your life.  Thankfully for him you would present the perfect opportunity without even realizing it.
Bemoaning once more to Andy what a lousy, no good piece of trash you had shacked up with as a busted faucet spewed water all over your bathroom floor, a trip by your kindly neighbor to the basement to turn off the water and not two weeks later to the day your useless boyfriend returned to not only bum some more cash while begging your forgiveness, but also to find himself on the receiving end of a police raid.
Arrested along with him as he swore blind, black and blue that the drugs, guns and ammunition had been planted by you as some perverted means of punishing him, your one phone call had resulted in you calling the only person you knew could get you out of this sorry mess.  Something he was only too happy to do.  Relaying then to all who would listen the litany of offenses your other half had committed while leaving you to scrimp and borrow just to keep your head above water, you soon walked free with the court's apologies only to discover the true price your freedom would cost.
A cost you thought very little of until that debt came due.
Lying beside Andy now as all these memories warred with the sensations his hands, lips and beard were presently creating, your thoughts lingered on how to talk him out of his plans until a sudden nip just below your ear produced a flood of moisture between your legs and a sound from your lips you never dreamed yourself capable of producing.  Whatever he had done had felt oh so good.
Continuing to explore this newly discovered pleasure point now as his hands left your midsection and wormed their way up your night top, a quick squeeze of your tits and Andy knew he was finally getting through.  "Hmm, you love that, don't you gorgeous?" he now asked as he pulled his lips back from your neck and focused once more on squishing your mounds like one would a stress ball before trapping each nipple between his fingers and twisting sharply.
Screaming out in both pain and ecstasy now as your legs clamped tight to hold back the fountain leaving your pussy, it seemed Andy knew more about the workings of the female body than you ever thought possible as his right hand moved down to cup your intimate area while his lips returned to rest against your ear.  "It's weeping for me isn't it gorgeous?" Andy asked with a smirk before continuing, "Crying out to be fucked and filled.  To feel my beard burn it up so good you'll remember me every time you try to close your legs."
Biting your bottom lip hard now so as to neither confirm or deny his outrageous accusation, him nuzzling deeper into the crook of your neck to leave a taste of what he promised still couldn't distract you from the reality of what had gone before.  Your ex had tried this once and it had been a complete disaster.
Coming home drunk one night very early on in your relationship, his prodding and pleading had seen you relent and the experience had not been a good one.  Sharp coarse hair, a tongue that flopped around like wet, limp celery and the resulting infection that left your private garden needing lots of t.l.c. was definitely a sexual encounter you were not looking to repeat ever again.
And yet something was different here.
Flipping you onto your back now while at the same time ripping your top clean down the middle, the cool air of the room kissing your skin hit differently now that your eyes were still covered and your other senses compensated for their loss.  Straining to hear and feel what Andy was doing now while still not one hundred percent sure you wanted what he offered, you instead tried once more to reach up and remove the blindfold only to cry out when Andy's mouth descended towards your left breast and bit hard.
Soothing it quickly then with his tongue before pulling back and warning you now not to try that again, you nodded obediently while also noting the striking difference in your two lovers straight away.  Andy it seemed knew exactly how and what to do with his tongue.  Which may work in your favor after all.
Relaxing a bit more now as the man above you began to pepper soft kisses, sharp nips and tickling brushes along your front, you were surprised by the shiver along your spine and the fluttering in your stomach at the next words that interrupted the rhythm of your ragged breaths.  "I'm gonna mark you all over gorgeous and maybe then I'll see about giving you what you need."
Pouting at the threat now that offered no relief yet also still somewhat reluctant to accept what your body craved, Andy moving ever closer to the oasis calling out to him proved far more powerful however than any bacterial infection or embarrassment at your physician's office.  Having him was worth anything and so you gave in.  This time when he released you and settled himself between your now parted legs, your hands reached out to gently massage the ache he left around your chest, the blindfold thoroughly forgotten in your zeal to touch something substantial.  Something that was yours.
Placing his lips against your calf then as he slowly and sensually worked his way back up towards your center, your ragged breathing was now replaced with whispered yeses that gave life to his ever hardening cock as your own body tried to focus on what exactly it was experiencing.  Soft and thick, unlike the scouring pad your ex might as well have used, yet still short enough for you to almost feel the individual hair strands penetrate your tender flesh, you knew come morning your legs were going to resemble someone that had spent just that minute too much under the sun but at the same time no antibiotics or medicated cream were going to be called into action this time.
But somehow that outcome no longer mattered.
Letting your mind go blank and focusing simply on the here and now, you wondered if this was heaven.  As Andy's lips and teeth left hickeys you knew would linger long after this night ended, the beard was something you secretly admitted to wanting to feel forever.  Delighting now in the heat left behind wherever he rubbed his chin, combined with the wispy, soothing breaths he then assaulted the tender skin with, you soon found yourself an active participant in an activity you had now discovered a new appreciation for.
Grabbing hold of Andy's head now as he reached your center once more, you somehow convinced him through action alone to meet you halfway and soon your lips were meeting up once more in a kiss that conveyed a heat and passion you had never experienced with a lover before.  Melding your lips together as your tongue first explored his mouth before allowing his to do the same, the moan that traveled between the two of you as your fingers scraped his scalp spurred you on to finally let go.
Falling back onto the bed again as your lungs now welcomed some much needed air, the blindfold still covering your eyes robbed you of seeing what Andy was doing, but the rustling of fabric and his naked chest touching yours moments later told you all you needed to know.
He was moving things along.
Kissing you once more before moving down your body once again, you were prepared to finally lose your shorts but lost your cool instead when Andy reached out and began the same sequence on your left leg that had worked so successfully on the right.  And it frustrated you no end.  "Andy, baby, please," you whined now as his bearded chin rubbed clockwise and anticlockwise circles along your calf and inner thigh while your core got wetter and wetter with no relief in sight.  No, you needed him now.
Debating taking off the blindfold once more and allowing him to see the full force of your disapproval, you instead decided you liked the effect it created in this experience and chose a different tack instead .... you pulled hard on his locks and at least got his attention.  "Fuck gorgeous take it easy.  I kinda like my hair attached to the roots.  Is there something specific you needed?" he now asked and you didn't need your eyesight to know the fucker currently sending your body towards orbit was grinning like the cat that ate the canary.
Which only infuriated you all the more.
"I need you there Andy," you answered crossly with an accompanied finger pointing directly at your now long neglected flower.  "I need to feel you burn me up.  Drown my garden, spread your seed and make me question how I ever thought my dreams could compensate for the reality."
Chuckling once more now at how needy you had become without yet experiencing the full arsenal of his sexual repertoire, he thankfully decided to take pity on you it seemed when he removed his head from your hands before pulling down your shorts and exposing your core to him, the night air and all the plans he had for you.
Removing the rest of his clothes then if the sounds of a belt, falling shoes and rustling fabric were anything to go by, you took the opportunity to situate yourself in a more comfortable position before the main event actually kicked off.  And what an event it turned out to be.  Kissing gently either side of your flower now before giving into your whining and diving in, the sensations here were even more intense than what had come before.  Rubbing his bearded chin back and forth along your mound before blowing softly on the heated flesh, Andy kept this rhythm going until you had enough and once more tried to exert some measure of control.
Grabbing hold of his head again and this time employing a strength you never knew you possessed, you shoved his face against your pussy and simply held it there.  Waiting now for the man to get with the program and give your body what it ached for, you were instead treated to the full force of his professional resolve when, like you, he simply did nothing.  Not a tongue, not a wisp, not a strand of his glorious beard offered any relief and it seemed a stalemate was the only possible outcome.
That is if you weren't already a desperate, sex starved mess.
Nudging his head once more and still getting no response, a tiny part of you wondered if perhaps you might have smothered him but the greater part told you he was simply playing the long game.  Waiting for you to cave and beg him again to take you.  But that you weren't about to do.  Giving up silently instead, you now released Andy's head and honestly, a part of you was sorry for it.  But at least he got the message.
Holding down your hips now the second you let go, Andy's tongue, teeth, lips and beard worked outside and inside your pussy with a skill that put all your toys to shame and as the tears flowed freely from your eyes and soaked the blindfold you knew you were fucked.  Oh not in the sense you craved, no.  This was more in the 'how is anyone or anything ever going to satisfy me again?' sense.  The man was ripping you apart and it was divine.
Nipping at your clit every so often now as his tongue twisted inside your pussy as far as it could go, the vibrations from his laughter every time he heard you pleading should have been enough to break you and send you hurtling over that unseen cliff edge, but Andy was still in charge.  Talking against your pussy now in a room filled with nothing but sex, breathing and a man you thought had never seen a meal throughout his life, you felt your ears were playing tricks on you when his muffled words finally broke through your orgasm starved haze.
The bastard couldn't be serious?
Eating you out now as if he were fully prepared to die right here between your legs, there was no way the smarmy git could have told you to hold it, to stave off the building orgasm your body was literally crying out to release.  Letting go of the sheets again and reaching for his head once more, you took a deep breath knowing the loss you were about to feel and pulled him anyway before speaking in the direction you knew him to be.  "Did you just .... seriously tell me .... to hold it?" you panted out now while the bastard laughed out in confirmation before actually dignifying you with a response.
"Absolutely gorgeous.  You'll come when I tell you and or you come at all," he answered firmly before removing your hands from his head and returning back to the activity you had so rudely interrupted.  Starting back up again while now adding his right hand fingers to the mix, your clit, pussy and asshole all now receiving an equal amount of attention and you didn't know how much longer you were meant for this world.
Could someone actually die from sex you wondered?  From an orgasm so powerful it sets all your synapses firing at once in a chain reaction that resembled the big bang?
Setting this thought aside momentarily to focus instead on your breathing so your lungs at least didn't give out before you got your reward, you thankfully didn't have long to wait when Andy suddenly tapped your stomach to get your attention.  It seemed he was finally ready.  Easing off the break now before the bastard changed his mind and tortured you even further, you relaxed every muscle your body possessed and let the feelings previously trapped within your body wash over you.  And that's when all hell broke loose.
Spasming outward from your core in one continuing burst, the tears continued to flow, your keening broke the silence and Andy's slurping competed with your voice as he drank down every bit of your delicious essence while still holding your body flat against the bed.  He drank so deep in fact you wondered if your soul had actually left your body when the shockwaves finally subsided and your spent body rested back against the pillows as Andy traveled up the bed to join you where you lay.
Reaching up to remove the blindfold then and wipe away the stray tears the intensity of your release had just produced, Andy now kissed you deeply and placed your hand around his shaft before uttering the words that told you a very long night and many more orgasms were all that lay in store.  "Buckle up gorgeous, there's a lot more real estate left to claim and I'm just getting started.”

Keys are jingling in her face as Joshua stands inches above her head. Smiling down at her still trying to buckle the torture device women call heels.
"Are we ready yet, princess?"
Y/n didn't respond with words but a big sigh meaning no. Packing her purse frantically while she runs around the apartment in search of lipstick to match the red of her dress.
“Y/n, you’ll be fine. I would say trust me but I feel like we're beyond that.”
Running back and forth between rooms she still didn’t know what to say to Joshua, she  decided to let the tensions between the two of them go away for the night as they tackle the bigger fish.
“Josh. I know. Minghao texted me that he’s going to pretend to be on Mimi’s side. He said we have to be careful. I’m just not sure why.”
“We’re like seven against one. It will be fine.”
“Will it? Who knows what she’s capable of, she's very capable of taking all of you down to get to me. She proves it all the time. Maybe I just shouldn’t go. This is stupid even entertaining her.”
“Do you still care about me and Minnie? Even if you don't, you do care about Minghao. I know for a fact if you don’t show up she will blackmail us forever. I also have a feeling she’ll go for Seokmin somehow, she knows he’s weak. If she can’t take you down, she will definitely take him down.”
“Then let’s end this once and for all, please.”
Locking her front door, feeling fire in her gut to take down the girl who had done everything in her power to hurt y/n, she couldn’t help but feel like there was something brewing that she wouldn’t be able to come back from.
With the air around her full of pressure, she sat in silence in the back of the uber next to a friend who used to be her entire world and now was barely a part of it.
Something about the ride to Mingyu’s bar felt like it was going to be the last time she saw herself like this, full of anxiety about the days going forward, worried that the other shoe will drop.
When the two of them finally arrived they were met with an obnoxious banner outside the front door, that the bar was closed for an ‘exclusive’ event.
Seokmin was standing off to the right, clutching his phone in his hand, looking obviously nervous waiting for y/n to arrive.
She quickly jumped out of the car with a thank you and ran into his arms, holding onto him for dear life before you went inside.
“You look beautiful, y/n. Perfect revenge dress.”
“Thank you for being here to help me.”
“Where else would I be? Hi, Josh.”
“Hey, Seok. Where are.. You know.”
“Out back, they parked Won’s car in the staff lot and are waiting back there.”
“Okay. Cool. Let them know we’ll give them a signal to come in.”
Walking through the front door, still sticking Seokmin on her arm. Feeling his physical touch to put y/n at ease following behind Joshua.
There was a table set up at the front, small bags designed for everyone's phones at coat check, the security guard asked to confiscate everything on them including  their bags.
Getting a deep wondering look in her eyes, Joshua was asking for permission if it's okay, though she was apprehensive to hand over the items that could be useful for her escape if needed she knew but she also knew she had to do it.
Seokmin told the guard he just had to send a final message, assuming it was to the nerd back in the parking lot, you just sent him a small smile.
After hanging over the personal items, the three piece crew, much smaller than normal, were handed numbered masks, assumingly part of Mimi’s plan to know who is who.
“Guys, please stay close. Okay?”
“We’re not going to leave you, y/n. We promise.
“Good.”
Placing their masks over their eyes, Seokmin in something that looked like a green dragon, Joshua a white jester, and y/n a black sparkly mask with two small horns placed over her eyebrows.
“I see she still has a sense of humor.”
“I’m not sure if I think this is very funny, y/n.”
“Humor keeps me living, Shua.”
“Clever.”
Walking through the black velvet curtain, there were swarms of people everywhere, some holding trays with champagne and other clear liquids, a parade of dancers on tables, and some party goers looking at the three of them, trying to suss out who they were.
“How the fuck are we going to find her in here?”
Y/n leaned into Seokmin’s ear and whispered the things Minghao had told her before she gave up her phone.
Minghao was supposedly the only male guest in some type of red mask and knowing Mimi it had something to do with the devil.
“Guys, I’m going to go grab us some drinks, don’t take anything from anyone if they offer you something. She may have spiked a drink since I’m sure she knows you’ve arrived.”
Joshua was right, y/n hadn’t even thought about the possibility of Mimi doing something dirty to take her out and make her embarrass herself.
Y/n pulled Seokmin along to the bathroom that was sitting next to the bar, locking them both inside for a moment to talk before their night.
“Look. Let’s not drink anything, okay? And we can’t eat either. Joshua reminded me of something from that video of me that Mimi had put out at Minghao’s event. She said she could get us some stuff to have a fun night and to loosen me up more so I could go over to Joshuas and lose my virginity.”
“She’s so sick. Y/n I'm so sorry.”
“It’s fine. I just don’t want anything to happen to you, because if i-”
With a small scream from Seokmin and y/n from a small knock on the door, she just yelled out they’d only be a minute, but the knocking persisted.
“Y/n? It’s Minnie. Let me in.”
“Uhh, Seokmin is having a bit of a bathroom emergency. Just one second.”
“Guys. I know you’re lying, just let me in. I know you don’t want to see me. But, please.”
Unlocking the door and letting Minnie slide through the crack, you noticed her mask as something to be aware of. It was some sort of bunny with pink crusted jewels all around it.
“What do you want, Minnie?”
“Seokmin, just let me talk okay?”
“Fine.”
“I know you guys don’t want to see me, I’m sure Joshua explained a little bit of what was going on considering you came with him here willingly. Just know I didn’t do it to hurt you, I did it to save myself. I was being selfish. Mimi knew stuff that I have never told anyone, not even the two of you, she was threatening telling my parents and I couldn’t come back from that, they’d nev-”
“Minnie? We don’t care right now, why did you want to come in here?”
“Because, I have an idea.”
“Which is?”
“Let me trade places with you tonight. Give me your dress and mask. That way whatever she tries to do to you, it’ll be me instead.”
“But, our hair is different, they took my bag so I don’t have the matching lipstick for you to wear.”
“Mingyu is doing work in his office, you can go hide in there with him. I have an overnight bag with some stuff in it that you can put on. I think it’ll be better if we're both not out there.”
“What about Seokmin? And wouldn’t she be suspicious if you’re not out there?”
“No. When I came to set up, I told her I wasn’t feeling well and that I wanted to go home early. She doesn’t even know he and I are still here.”
“How do I know this isn’t part of her plan?”
“Because I didn’t tell her about your friends waiting for you outside and about you and Minghao being friends still? Other than that you just will have to find it in your gut to believe me even if I betrayed you.”
“Okay.”
“Y/n are yo-”
“Seokmin, I’m sure.”
“Aright. We’ve been in here too long hurry up and change, Joshua is probably confused.”
“Follow me to the office, we'll swap there.”
Minnie led y/n and Seokmin down to the end of the hall holding her eagle eye on the room full of party go-ers looking for Mimi before making a clear getaway into the room Mingyu was held up in.
Unlocking the key to his office door. Minnie swooped her former best friend into the room where Mingyu was sitting at his desk, airpods in his ears, sipping on a beer.
“Hey.”
“Hi, Gyu.”
“Long time no see, y/n. Seokmin.”
“We miss you, big dog.”
“I know, Seoky.”
“Mingyu, y/n is going to stay in here with you while me and Seokmin go around the party. Okay? Keep her safe.”
“What about Seokmin?”
“Why does everyone keep asking about me?”
“Because, you’re the glue.”
“Aw, Mingyu.”
“Guys. Turn around so we can change.”
“Why it’s not li-”
“Mingyu.”
Y/n giggled at the interaction between Mingyu and Minnie, still unsure if they’re officially together or not, but she had hoped they were.
Slipping out of their dresses, y/n changed into Minnie's casual clothes, a pair of grey sweatpants and hoodie as Minnie slid into the red dress that fit like a glove.
“I have makeup wipes and other stuff in my bag, feel free to use it.”
“Okay.”
“Ready, Seok?”
“I think so, but what about Minghao? And the guys?”
“I can call them for you, I still have my phone.”
“But, how will you know when?”
“Cameras.”
“Wow, no shit. Okay. Be safe.”
“Seokmin?”
“Yeah, y/n?”
“If you see Minghao.”
“Don’t worry.”
As y/n was peeling her makeup off, Minnie and Seokmin slipped back out the door they came in from and back into the party hoping to uncover truths for their friends as she was stuck in an office with her old flame, in secret once again.
“Want a beer?”
“Please.”
Mingyu handed over a glass bottle as he popped the top off swiftly, y/n chugged at the golden liquid hoping it would settle her stomach slightly.
“Minghao, huh?”
“What?”
“You guys, are uh? Dating? Friends?”
“We’re just friends.”
“For now.”
“What?”
“You like him.”
“I did. I don’t even know anymore.”
“You do. You just don’t trust him.”
“Not fully, no. Not yet. I really only trust Seokmin and the guys. Which is sad.”
“Not even me?”
“I’ll be honest, I thought you had something to do with it for a while.”
“Y/n, come on.”
“I just wasn’t sure. Joshua told me everything. I know you didn’t. I’m sorry I doubted you I guess.”
“Do you think if all of this never happened things would’ve been different between us?”
“Maybe. How are you and Minnie?”
“The same. I think she has a lot of stuff to work out before anything would ever be able to happen seriously.”
“Like?”
“A lot of things she should tell you herself, but I don’t like that she hurt you.”
“Mingyu, you know-”
“No. I know. It’s silly I still like you after you made it clear to me your feelings, but I can’t help it. I’m competing with your childhood crush and your knight in shining armor I get-”
“No. Mingyu.”
Y/n pointed to the screen, watching Minnie approach who y/n thought was maybe Mimi, watching their interaction carefully. Mimi ran her hand over Minnie's masked face and took Seokmin’s hand in hers, jumping a little bit off the ground. Holding her hands out to show them the work she had put in for y/n's birthday.
“Do you think she knows?”
“That it’s not you? Maybe. She is a good liar.”
“She definitely is.”
Y/n noticed to their side seated at a table was Minghao, something about his demeanor and watchful stance, plus the hint of the red mask, let her into the detail.
“That’s Hao.”
“In the red? Where’s Josh?”
“To the left. White mask.”
“What do you think they're talking about?”
“No clue.”
Mimi handed Seokmin and Minnie drinks off the tray that were brought over and cheered them on as she went to take her spot on the stage to introduce the DJ for the evening and also thank the guests for coming, a sign the party was officially in full swing.
Y/n and Mingyu kept watching on as Seokmin and Minnie sipped their drinks, when he suddenly stopped her from putting the cup to her lips and swapped their drinks without letting Mimi onto what he was doing.
“Do you really think she’d drug your or Minnie, but your drinks?”
“I do. I told Seokmin to be careful. Joshua was the one actually who told me.”
“Why do you think she hates you so much?”
“Because I’m the only person who never put up with her shit.”
“And you’re the only person who can get what she wants but can't have?”
“Not true.”
“It is. She wanted Josh, she got him, but really he wanted you. She got Minghao to fall for you unintentionally even though she had him first and wanted him to do her dirty work by lying. She hates you because you’re everything she isn't. Kind and Honest.”
“I don’t feel that way. I never tell people what I want. Even Seokmin. I don’t know how to tell people my true and honest feelings. I just skirt around them. I act like I’m okay and I’m not. I’m not okay. I sometimes feel like she’s onto something. Maybe she’s helping me go after things I need.”
“See.”
“What?”
“Even though she’s fucking with your life you have compassion enough to say maybe she’s helping you. You’re a good person, y/n.”
“Maybe.”
“Trust me. That’s why I fell in love with you.”
“Don’t. Mingyu, please. Not now.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be.”
As the pair was sitting and drinking at Mingyu’s desk, they entirely missed Mimi’s devious actions in spiking the drink that belonged to one of their friends.
“Wait. Why is she on stage?”
“She’s talking.”
“Do you have sound on your cameras?”
“Yeah, one second.”
Mingyu unmuted his laptop and watched as Mimi paraded around the stage.
“Hello, everyone. I’m Mimi, of course. I know you can’t tell under my mask. But, I’m here to celebrate the birthday girl, y/n. She has been in my life for a long time, we were such good friends as kids. Did you know y/n stole my boyfriend? It’s funny, she’s always doing things people don’t expect. I want to bring her up here tonight to let her tell you her story for herself as she turns another year older. y/n? Can you please come to the stage?”
Seokmin nudged Minnie who was looking unwell, the girl on his side pretending to be someone she wasn’t slinked onto the stage next to Mimi, clearly inebriated.
Mimi smirked and handed her the microphone, letting her know it was time for a speech.
“Uh, Hi. Sorry, I’m not feeling well.”
The crowd of people they may or may not have known the girl who stepped on the stage wasn’t the girl of honor, y/n and Mingyu watched in disbelief holding eachothers hands without realizing it.
Minnie fell to her knees which prompted Seokmin and other masked guests including Joshua and Minghao to run to her side as the microphone cracked loudly over the speakers.
Mingyu tugged tightly on y/n’s hand before she forced him to run out to the girl left on the small stage who had fainted.
Y/n was sitting and watching everything go down when all of the sudden the lights cut out, following the last bit of light from the computer screen.
“Y/n?”
“Hello? Who is it?”
“Aw, are you scared?”
“Mimi?”
“Who else?”
“What's wrong with Minnie?”
“Oh she’ll be fine. You should know better than to cross me. Bold of you both to go against what I actually had planned, but she meant well. I can't fault her for that."
“What do you want?”
Y/n felt Mimi’s presence beside her, her breathing slowing more in the faint black room.
“You. Well, for you to go away.”
“If I agree to what you want, will you leave my friends alone?”
“Yeah. I need you to do something for me first.”
“What is that?”
“Lie for me.”
“Why?”
A flashlight suddenly lit up the room, illuminating both of the girls' faces, Mimi had a sinister smile on her face.
“Because you owe me.”
“What do I need to do? And before I agree you have to promise me all of them will be okay.”
“I promise.”
"So?"
“I need you to go, I need you to find somewhere out of the city. I’ll tell your friends the rest. I put a bag in my car out front. It has everything, your phone, your wallet. Just get in and drive. I don’t care where you go, but just know if you show back up or contact them. I’ll find you. I’ll handle everything else.”
“How do I know I can trust you?”
“Hm. I’ll give you this.”
Mimi handed y/n a small pink zip drive hooked onto her key unit. Something for her to hold onto. She took it in the palm of her hand and shoved it inside the pocket of Minnie’s sweats.
“Can I ask you a favor if I do this?”
“I guess. What is it?”
“Take care of Seokmin and Jun. Even if you don’t get too close to them, just make sure they are alright. Everyone else can handle themselves. I just need to know the two of them will be okay.”
“Yes, y/n. Your bitch boys will be well taken care of.”
“Okay.”
Y/n took the keys from the top of Mingyu’s desk, ready to make her exit as the tears welled up in her eyes.
“Y/n?”
“What?”
“Aw, don't cry. I just need you to sign this letter I wrote. So they think it's from you.”
Y/n took the pen from Mimi, only reading the first few words of the fake letter meant for her friends and signed her name at the bottom. Maybe it wasn’t right, but she knew if she ever got the chance to apologize they’d understand.
“Actually can I ask you for one more thing before I go, Mimi?”
“Yep.”
“Why does it have to be like this?”
“Well because I know if I don’t force you out I’ll never get what I want. Good luck, y/n. You’ll need it.”
“Thanks. I guess.”
Y/n slipped out the back door of Mingyu’s bar for what she thought would be the last time. She took a deep exhale watching her breath follow the wind as she walked to Mimi’s car and slammed the door shut behind her. Finally letting the tears fall from her face before she started it and drove away.
She made a promise to herself as she left, just minutes until she became a year older. That somehow she’d find her way back, even though she may be picking up the pieces of what she left behind.

Cunnilingus
a/n : Short one to get back into writing, also everything in this is written with consent in mind, reader gave Sampo the consent to be woken up like that. Also idk how lore accurate this is with the pool, but eh let's go with the flow!
Tumblr media
The Golden Hour was buzzing with people like always, people from many different planets and so many different backgrounds. Yourself strolling through the bustling streets to the Clockie statue right now. Sampo had told you to wait up for him there yesterday, wondering what he wanted to talk about.
Watching the storefronts, everything looked expensive and just perfect for this dream world. It was crazy to imagine the Golden Hour even exists, that the Dreamscape overall exists.
Arriving at the statue, you take a good look around, the blue-haired man is nowhere to be seen, he probably would take a while longer. The golden statue of Clockier was reflecting the lights of the city, making it look as if it was sparkling. Further behind it was the poster of Robin, many people walking the streets humming or singing her songs. Stepping over to one of the many benches, taking a seat as you fold your leg over the other, waiting patiently for a certain someone to meet you. Some time goes by, looking at your phone for a second, he is already 20 minutes late, Sampo usually comes a bit later but not this much and especially not to a meeting with you.
Sighing as you put your phone back into your pocket, rest your elbow on your knee and your face on your hand. People were walking by, not one giving you a glance. Everyone here was in their own little world. Somewhere in the background, you could also hear some of those walking billboards pestering the people walking past them.
A while went by when you suddenly started to feel a little uncomfortable. It confused you. You couldn't really describe this feeling, but it felt tight? As if your chest is getting tight. Your chest tingling. Suddenly a jolt makes you bend over, chest pressed to your knees now, your right hand over your mouth. Eyes blown wide, as you feel heat building up in your core slowly. What was happening? Something like this never happened to you here.. Was your body getting sick? We're you about to wake up?
Sampo still wasn't here which worried you slowly, it must have been an hour by now. The heat in your body slowly but surely rises and gets stronger and hotter with every passing second. By now people gave you glances, wondering what was wrong with you, probably thinking you drank too much SoulGlad and were about to empty it again. But this was far from what was happening to you. The urge to slip your hand down to your core and silence the burning desire was getting hard to control. But you couldn't, not here, yet you knew if you were to stand up in this condition it wouldn't work out for you.
Maybe you should just wake up? Finish this awake and in the hotel? But then again Sampo would probably be here soon.. Another flash of burning hot desire was sent through your body, more intense than any before. Your eyes shoot open, as your mouth opens to let out a pathetic moan, hands thrashing around to grab anything around you, which ends up being a head of blue hair.
"Finally awake.. Took you almost half an hour, amazing how long you did." Above you was Sampo, looking down, the lower half of your body was exposed while still in the pool. Just not the conversation you and he had last week hits you. Telling him how hot you think it would be for him to wake you up by eating you out, giving him your consent to surprise you if he was to do it. Yet you didn't think he would convert that idea so soon.
"Cat got your tongue? Maybe I should just continue so all you can do is moan while you come ondone on my tongue." With that Sampo lowers his body back down, his hot tongue running a stripe up your core, before licking around the sensitive nub. This was bliss. Your right hand was softly tangled in his locks, while the other held onto the edge of the pool, eyes closed while your head was thrown back. His hand was slowly moving under your shirt, pushing it up a little bit while doing so, before finally reaching the sensitive nipples and softly twisting them between his thumb and pointer finger.
With all this build-up of pleasure and the pleasure Sampo was still giving you, you were bound to not last longer and he knew that, from the way you were moving around, his free arm holding you in place by your thigh. With a suck to your clit, you finally come undone on his tongue, making him lap up any last bit of your release, before moving his body over you.
"Now, did that fulfill that fantasy of yours darling?" His green eyes were staring down at you, with a handsome smirk on his face. "Better than how I imagined." Pulling him down by his shoulders now, this was bound to be a long night ahead.

4. You're Welcome
Tumblr media
9 AM was still quite early, so she didn’t speak to anyone when she was leaving the Hotel. Charlie tries to call after her, but Voe ignores her, knowing it would take her some time to find the V tower once again. Once she did find it and entered the building it was 8:59 AM.
“Excuse me? If you’re here for the event, the line is over there.”  spoke a secretary pointing to a line of women that Voe had completely missed when she walked in—a line of nicely dressed, but very tired and annoyed women that lead right out the door.
“Um, is my name written down somewhere?”
“Huh?” said the secretary, with her hand in her mouth “Who are you?”
“I’m Voe, I was contacted directly by Velvette.”
“Hmmm,” she scrolled through her computer “What did you say your name was?”
“It’s Voe.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry I don’t have a Vogue here.”
“It’s Voe!”
“Yeah, Vogue.”
“VOE”
“How do you spell that?”
“V-O-E?” her frustration building exponentially
“Ohhh. I have a V-O-E here, is this you?” she turns the computer with a picture of her on it. Voe stares at this woman as if she were insane.
“Yes,” she says annoyed
“Mmk.” She turns the computer back and begins typing “Okay, so I guess we can start now.” The secretary stands and approaches the line “OKAY! IF ANY OF YOU BITCHES ARE SHORTER THAN 5 ‘3FT OR TALLER THAN 5’10, YOU ARE DISMISSED!” 3/4 of the line moans in annoyance and leaves. Almost enough models to fill Pentagram City alone. “IF YOU’RE WEARING FLATS, YOU’RE DISMISSED. AND DON’T EVER CONSIDER COMING BACK IF YOU’RE WEARING SNEAKERS!” Another couple hundred models left the premises.
“AND LASTLY IF YOU ARE UGLY LEAVE AND NEVER RETURN!”
“How do we know if we’re ugly?” a woman on the line asks
“If you have to ask that, then you are.” most of the women are gone, leaving Voe and one other model. Voe goes to stand next to her, she shoots Voe a smile, and Voe gives back what she thinks might be a smile.
“Okay! I’ll call the boss now!”
“Melissa!” Another demon came from a different room “You’re yelling again!”
“Sorry,” she looks sheepish. Melissa turns to the models “I’ll take you to the boss now.”
After being led up the stairs, Melissa knocks on a door.  A voice with a distinct British accent responds, “Come in!” Melissa knocks again. “Come IN!” the voice sounded more annoyed. Melissa knocks once again and the door is thrown open to reveal a beautiful demoness with deep brown skin, and hair that’s red on the top and blue at the bottom, tied up in a large ponytail. She’s wearing a red two-piece outfit with mismatched striped sleeves. “I said come IN!” She glares at Melissa “Don’t just stand in the doorway!” she says to the aspiring models who follow her inside. Melissa takes up the rear closing the door from inside the studio.
“Stand here,” the demoness calls from over by a desk, pointing at a slightly raised area in front of some U-shaped mirrors. They scramble to stand there quickly. The demoness stands up from her desk drawer, holding a tape measure, and approaches them with it “I am Velvette, but of course, you already know that and chances are that you’re here to make your dreams come true. You think you have what it takes to survive in this industry? Well you DON’T” She glares at the both of them “I’m just seeing you both so I can know which one of you is the least trash.” she squints “Names.” she orders. There’s a pause where they are both confused about what to say “NAMES?!” Her eyes widen and she raises her voice with anger
“Umm, Molly?”
“Is that a QUESTION?!”
“No! It’s Molly!” her voice is quivering
Voe’s hands are shaking and she has an overwhelming urge to pull at one of her ears “Voe.” Her voice comes out sounding flat and her tone is indecipherable.
Velvette raises a brow at her. “Ahh…yes. Voe the Beau, is it?” the fashionista looks her up and down.
Voe nods once “Indeed,”
“Hmm,” was all Velvette responded with. She paces back and forth silently, looking over at the potential hires every few minutes with her piercing gaze. Voe wondered what was taking so long, they were just standing there. The other girl, however, had begun shaking and sweating under Velvette’s watchful eye, to the point where it became noticeable. After about an hour of silence and short glances, Velvette walks back up to them and says “No. 9” pointing at Molly and Voe respectively. The girl, Molly runs off crying and tripping over her shoes and Voe stands there confused by her statement.
“What are you waiting for?”
“You to clarify.” Voe’s mouth is something like a straight line when she says this. Confused, but not wanting to look angry
“Clarify what?”
“What ‘9’ means”
Velvette rolls her eyes “You don’t know how to tell time? Come back tomorrow at 9! Now leave!” She points to the door.
Voe walks toward the door still a bit confused. How was I supposed to know what that meant? But brushed it off. Guess this means she got the job!
______________________________________________________________
Usually after doing things in the morning, Voe would come home and crash into a nap, but today she was filled with energy from her visit to vVv Tower. She sat in the parlor eating a plate of spaghetti that she found in the fridge and turned on the tv. The first thing she saw was a girl with blue skin, black sclera, green pupils, sharp teeth, and dark brown puffy hair being interviewed on 666 news.
“Hi, I’m Katie Killjoy!”
“And I’m Tom Trench!”
“Nobody gives a fuck who you are Tom! And we are here with the Vees newest discovery! Introduce yourself, sweetheart!”
The camera focuses on the petite demoness who speaks with a high-pitched voice. “Hi, you can call me Sugar. Sugar Cube!”
“Sugar has been working with the Vees for about a month now and she’s seemed to become an instant celebrity overnight! What do you have about that Sugar?’
“And do you taste as sweet as your name implies?” Tom speaks up and Katie growls at him
Sugar’s eyes are lidded and sensual “I wouldn’t say it was overnight. It takes so much practice and…. confidence? I’m sorry I’m so nervous.”
“Well that’s alright Sugar, you could just be staring at the camera and there’d be at least 2 things I’d be happy about with your performance!” Tom interjected
“I swear Tom, shut the fuck up. What’s it been like working with the Vees?”
“Pretty cool, you get so many opportunities and you can meet so many great people”
“And what people have you met?”
“Umm…lots.”
“Like…?”
“Ummm..he Vees?”
Laugh track plays over the scene. Katie looks clearly envious “You’re lucky you’re pretty Sugar.”
“Me too,” she says
“Aww, what the fuck! where’d my spaghetti go?!” Angel Dust can be heard from the kitchen. Voe slowly places the plate on the coffee table. Angel enters the parlor. “Hey, have you seen my-“ she spots the plate and just stares at her with flat brows “What the fuck.”
“In my defense, I thought it was up for grabs.”
“It had my name on it!”
“How do you put your name on spaghetti?”
“It was in a container? With my name on it?”
Voe picks up the container out of the garbage and checks it over, seeing Angel’s name on it “Hot damn, my bad. Do you like, want it?”
He plops down on the couch “No, just shit ask next time damn.”
“Okay,” she sits back down and puts his legs over her lap. “Hey, do you know that girl?’ She points at the tv
“Huh?” Angel is scrolling through his phone
“That girl on the tv”
His eyes glance up and focus on who she’s pointing at “Holy shit.”
“She says she works for the Vees, so I thought maybe you might have seen her?”
“Rumor has it that you’re getting a billboard right in the middle of Pentagram City!” Katie continues
“Well, that’s only a rumor, but I’d love for it to be true someday.”
“Well, you are living the dream Sugar.” Katie turns back to the camera “That’s all for tonight on 666 News and before it cuts off she shoves Tom off his seat
Voe frowns “I wanna be on a billboard.”
“Holy shit. Someone’s gotta get her some cue cards.”
“So you do know her?”
“Yeah, we work together.”
“Oh, she does porn too?”
“Yeah...” he says not really listening anymore. Voe gets up and throws the rest of the spaghetti in the trash, which definitely gets his attention.
“And then you wasted it?! What the fuck?!”
______________________________________________________________
Voe had taken to playing music out loud in the hotel: full speaker, no headphones, nothing. Whenever she was happy she couldn’t help but dance, which is what exactly she was doing when she heard a knock on her door, she had idea of who it would be, and was confirmed to be correct once she opened it.
“Is there something I can do for you, deer man?”
Alastor’s are only slightly open, and he’s holding his cane as though he used it to knock with “Yes, my dear in fact there is. Your,” he pauses, raising an eyebrow before saying “Music, is quite loud. I would advise you to turn it down.”
“Is it bothering you?” She leans on the doorframe
“Well, now that you mention it, yes.”
“Why?” He tilts his head, confused by the question “Did you hear it from somewhere else, or just walking by?”
“I heard it from my room.”
“Where’s your room?”
“Right upstairs.”
“That’s not that far, plus you have those deer ears. I’m not sure it’s as loud as you think it is.” She smirks “No one else has complained. How do I know that you’re not just being a nag?”
“Can you not just be respectful and turn it down?”
“But then I can’t hear it.”
“If you turn it down a singular notch?”
“Then that wouldn’t make much of a difference to you, now would it?”
“How do you know? You haven’t done it.”
She takes out her phone and presses the ‘volume down’ button once, which has no perceivable difference in the amount of sound. “See?”
“Hmm. Very well.”  his brows are flat “Enjoy your ‘music’ on your…” he cuts his eye. “What is that?”
”It's a speaker," she said, looking up at him with a hint of annoyance as he poked it with his cane.
"That is not a speaker. It's a box with small holes in it. Speakers have large funnels to project sound and a place to play your record or radio. This is not a speaker."
"It's a speaker," she repeated. "Modernized. It's for phones, iPads, computers, and stuff."
Alastor looked shocked and disgusted, but his smile never faltered.
"Where does the record go?" he asked.
"There's no record. We barely even use CDs anymore."
"What in hell is a CD?" Alastor asked incredulously.
"A 'Compact Disk'," Voe explained. "People used it to play music. But that doesn't matter because people don't use them anymore. This," she pointed to her speaker, "connects to my phone," she held up her smartphone, "via Bluetooth. It's a wireless technology that allows devices to communicate with each other over short distances," she added, looking up from her phone. "It plays the music that I have saved on my phone."
Once Voe finishes and takes a breath and looks up, Alastor seems as if he is going to short-circuit from the vast amount of information he was just given. Voe sighs again.
“You don’t get it at all.”
“Not at all,” he hits the top with his cane
“Hey, watch it.” She turns serious “Do not damage my property.”
His smile grows at the idea of irritating her “Enjoy your ‘music’ on your ’speaker’” he walks out in a pompous manner, somewhat bouncing with each step.
“They are not theoretical things,” she mumbles. She turns to go back into her room, before doing a double take. She tilts her head, watching Alastor leave. With each step, his coat raises a bit, she squints looking as hard as possible. “Is that a tail?” her jaw drops open with delight.
The next morning Angel was rushing around the parlor, looking like anxiety incarnate.
“Oh shit, Val’s gonna kill me if I’m late again,” he mumbles to himself.
Voe strolls through the parlor without a care in the world. “Val?”
“Valentino. That’s his boss.” Husk spoke from behind the bar before lifting a bottle to his lips
“Really dude? It’s not even 9 am.”
“This is my breakfast,” he said taking another swig
“Are you headed to V tower?”
“Yeah, don’t distract me toots.”
“Oh! I’m headed over there! We can go together!”
“Sure, but I’m leaving now!”
“Okay!” She skips out the door right behind Angel
Reaching V tower, it felt a lot larger and less friendly than it had when Voe came the first time, maybe because of the lack of models, maybe because of how quiet it was, or maybe because of the look of terror on Angel’s face, when they entered the front doors. There stood a giant moth man decked out in bling and a fancy fur coat with a red top hat donning a striped feather.
“Angel,” he spoke in a sickly sweet voice, “What did I tell you before?”
“I’m sorry, it won’t happen again.” Angel lowers his head, and Voe is confused by the gesture. She’d never seen him look like this before. She looked up at the moth man, he was incredibly tall, and the way he put his hand on Angel, made his face contort into something awful while the moth man’s smile grew.
Velvette finally entered the room at that point, while Voe was examining the two men, bringing the moth’s attention to her. “There you are!” she said
“Oh my,” the giant moth approaches Voe and Velvette “You are gorgeous. Do you need a job? Because I could make you-“ he bends down, then kisses and slightly licks the back of Voe’s hand, leaving a residue of red saliva “A star.” His eyes stare up as hers stare down. He smirked, and she almost sneered.
“Fuck off Valentino, she’s mine!” Velvette interjects
“You’re Valentino?” Voe spits, shocked by the information
“In the flesh Hermosa.” He spreads his wings as a display of dominance “I see my reputation precedes me.”
“Indeed it does,” she confirmed, wiping his saliva off her hand
“Come with me and I could make you bigger than she” he gestures to his comrade “Ever could. Especially someone like you. I don’t have any plus-sized girls.” He stares at her like he’s starving and she’s a piece of meat. Voe’s body temperature began rising exponentially and-
“Like I said Val, fuck off! I found her first!” Velvette begins pushing Voe in the opposite direction towards her studio while flipping Valentino off. Voe takes one more glance back, and the moth wiggles his tongue and blows her a kiss before she shivers in disgust, looking back at Angel as he is dragged the opposite way.
“Okay, stand perfectly still,” Velvette instructed her while she stood in front of the mirrors. Voe does her best to do so, as her new boss snaps once, twice, three, four five times to find an outfit that works for her. “Hmm, no no no. None of these are working!” She snaps again and again, changing the outfits every second, but she remains unsatiated “This isn’t working, get down!”
Voe does as she was told. Velvette looks her up and down “I want to use you, but none of my clothes fit you right. Melissa! Bring me my measuring tape!” Melissa scrambles in to bring her the tape that was right beside her “Stay still.” she is instructed once again
Velvette measures her height “Move your arms! Spread your legs” She does everything oh so quickly. “Your body doesn’t fit my current regime, but I like it. And your face. You’re very pretty, you’re welcome. So I need to do something special with you if I want to use you. Wait! What if I created a new line centered around demons with your body type? Yes of course! I’m a genius!”
“Call it ‘Respectless’, ‘cuz I heard that’s your thing.”
Velvette’s eyes widen “Listen, I’m the brains of this operation, so don’t give me your ideas again unless I specifically ask for them! But that idea is so good that I’m going to use it and take all the credit for it, got me? Great!”
“Got it.” she purses her lips “So when are you going to start making the line?”
“Hmm, you’re doing an awful lot of talking for a model, but if you must know I’m going to do it right now!” she looks giddy and intrigued, looking at Voe as if she were a puzzle to solve. “We’ll go with shades of pink because those do look good on you, I will say, you do know how to pick a color, you’re welcome. But your body seems a lot more soft than what I’m used to.” Velvette walks up to Voe and grabs her waist while staring her directly in the eye “Yep, I was right, you’re soft.” So I need clothing that will either offset that or something that could highlight and compliment it “How do you feel about your body? Now I want you to speak, let’s go chop chop!”
“I like my body.”
“You like it? Is that all? Give me something deeper, something more, do you stare at yourself in the mirror?”
“Sometimes,”
“And what do you see?”
Voe blinks “I see me.”
Velvette rolls her eyes “And what else?”
“I’m sorry, I don’t understand the question.”
Velvette walks up to her “What do you feel when you look at yourself? Need an example, alright. When I see myself in the mirror” she walks to the center of the line of mirrors “I think I’m that #bitch. I’m smart, I’m sexy, and I’ve pretty much got it all. Now what about you?”
Voe stops for a moment to think “I don’t think about it at all, I just am.”
“You are what?”
“The one.”
She raises her brow and steps closer to her “The one what?”
“The one to be. I’ve got charm, confidence, and the skills to back it up.”
“Yes…and…?” She inches closer and closer
“And I don’t apologize for being me.”
“Because you are…?”
“I’m a bad bitch!” She felt hyped up by Velvette
“Yes! You’re a bad bitch, and don’t you forget it! Now that is the vibe I want to get from this new line. It’s based on you.”
“Wow, that’s-“
“Nope! Now we’re back to not talking.” She cuts Voe off once again.

someone writing for the arcana in 2024 !!!! you're my saviour <3 could i get asra with a super clingy reader? like just absolutely hanging off of him like a cat. gn reader is fine, tysm !! i also love ur blog theme, so pretty :(
hi hun! tysm for the sweet compliments and the request, you seem like a sweetheart <3 i honestly worked so hard on my theme and im still yet to be done with it ahhh
I haven’t written for asra for a hot minute but I will try my hardest to deliver! hope you like !!
This will take place after the good ending with Asra’s route! So spoilers for those who haven’t finished his route :)
Tumblr media
Asra adored you. Even before what had happened at the… Lazaret… Asra has always had a special part of his heart and head space just for you.
And after all that had happened between the two of you, (like you finding out what has actually happened to yourself, the plague, Count Lucio- you get the idea) something inside you changed.
You felt separated from Asra, like you had burdened him with firstly dying, and then being in catatonic states when he tried to have you remember your past memories…
It was like you had finally realized you missed him - been yearning for him. And that’s when the clinginess started.
“Asra where are you going?”
You have been following him around like a lost puppy since this morning. Like every morning.
“The marketplace.. better get your shoes on if you wanna come with, pretty.” Asra always knows that you’ll tag along with him, everywhere and anywhere. Already grabbing a basket to put goods inside.
Eyes darting around, a blush forming at the nickname rolling off his tongue. You hurriedly grab your shoes and plop down near Asra to put them on. Always near Asra.
Outside in the market was one of your favorite places due to the fact you can hold and cling to Asra without any excuse.
He wouldn’t want you getting lost, right?
“Make sure to not let go, okay love?”
Asra wouldn’t even need to tell you to hold his hand or arm, the moment you’re out the door you’re looking up at him holding onto him as you walk. Looking at him like he held the world in the palm of his hand.
He always thought you were a sweet little thing - always wanting him. You were so oblivious to it too: so wrapped up in being around him and on him to see it.
The red tint on his neck, cheeks and ears when you cling to him. His heart fastening with how close you always are to him.
Even when things are official between the two of you, he just couldn’t help himself.
Your head on his arm when you’d stop at a fruit stand, arm tightened with his when walking through alleys. Whispering in his ear about a particular item you’d forgotten to get, just to tease him a little. Sitting on his lap when sitting for lunch at a particular restaurant.
His face would be on fire when you’d try feeding him his food, slightly embarrassed but also happy at the adoration you held for him.
The locals at this point were already used to Asra’s lover always on him, it was usual. In fact, they’d come up and ask if something was wrong if they weren’t around him at all.
It was like you had to be constantly touching him. And he did not complain one bit.
.
Usually once you both had gotten back home, you’d close the shop and he’d read a book. And this would be your opportunity to be close to him for a longer period of time.
Laying on your shared bed, Asra would specifically make room between his legs just for you. Knowing full well that you’d be on him any second now.
Laying in between his legs, head on his chest: it felt like home. Drawing patterns on his chest, feeling his heart beat against your ear. Faust curled up next to you, asleep soundly while Asra flips his page every few minutes. ‘Yeah, this was home.’
“Asra…” you whisper after a few seconds, he peeks his head down at you - not taking his eyes off you for one second. “Yes pretty?”
You pause for a sec and tighten your arms around him. “Thank you.” You put simply, closing your eyes into his chest.
You can hear him put down his book slightly, “And what would you be thanking me for, hm?”
“For being with me… giving me another chance… for everything.” You mumbled, holding him a bit tighter. Not that you were scared that he’d go away or judge you, but rather just needing him closer.
Asra’s eyes softened, his heart racing just a little. ‘Oh you have no idea what I’d do for you..’
“Love.. you don’t have to thank me.” He took your hands softly, rubbing them comfortingly. “You’re never a burden… I want you always beside me, always near me.” He smiled, adoration poured into his eyes. Asra bends down to kiss your head.
“I love you, pretty.”
A blush crept its way to your face. You smiled up at him, squeezing his hand.
“I love you too, my magician.”

Fëanorian Week Day 1: Maedhros
Tumblr media
Prompt: Childhood Word count: 2,061 Summary: Maedhros tries to prepare his speech for Finwë's party at the last moment, but his brothers are always needing his help.
Tumblr media
Maedhros was panicking. Despite having three weeks to prepare for the upcoming family gathering, he had not memorized the speech he was expected to give—and his father had made it very clear that it would mean dishonor on their whole family if Maedhros slipped up.
He understood why this was such a problem—the eldest of Finwë’s grandchildren were each to deliver a speech in honor of his birthday celebration, and the absolute last thing Fëanor wanted was for his eldest son to be outshined by Fingolfin’s son, Fingon—but that put a colossal amount of pressure on Maedhros’s shoulders. And Maedhros had never performed well under pressure.
“Esteemed kin, we gather under Laurelin’s silver glow and Telperion’s golden boughs … no, that’s not right! We gather under Telperion’s silver glow and Laurelin’s golden boughs to celebrate the birthday of my grandfather and King …” Maedhros muttered to himself as he frantically pulled on his formal robes, his tall, burly figure drowning in liquidy red silk gilded with rubies and topaz. As elegant as his clothes looked, his deep red curls were every bit as unmanageable as his mother’s, and he swore loudly as he tried to brush it into submission.
“What do you think Atto would say if he heard you curse like that?” came a voice from the doorway, equal parts smug and reproving. Curufin was leaning on the doorframe, smirking. “Bet he would be angry.”
Maedhros turned and glared at him threateningly. “If you tell him, I’ll throw you off the balcony,” he warned. “What do you want?”
“I can’t tie this,” Curufin said, pulling his long, dark hair aside and motioning to the clasp on the back of his tunic.
“Did you ask Ammë or Atto?”
“They are busy helping the twins get ready.”
Maedhros sighed. “Fine,” he said, striding over and hastily fixing the clasp. “Now go on, I am still getting ready!”
Curufin left without another word—not even a thank-you—and Maedhros went back to fixing his hair, which he ended up just braiding back and decorating with the gold coronet his father had given him earlier. “In his wisdom, he has been more than a grandfather to me, but a friend to all, guiding us in a realm where … did I put ‘creativity’ or ‘passion’?”
He went to his desk and pulled out his notes, squinting at the hastily scrawled lines he had written, scratched out, and smeared many times. He cleared his throat and began to recite the line again, when the sound of footsteps came from the hallway and Maglor burst into his room like an indigo tidal wave.
“Mae! Where are my music sheets?” his brother exclaimed frantically.
“How should I know? They’re your music sheets,” Maedhros answered, but he still felt a pang of distress on his brother’s behalf; Maglor was to be performing his song in public for the first time, and had been meticulous with every detail to avoid being nervous—but if he did not have his music sheets, there could be a huge problem.
“I need them!” his brother stressed. “You’re sure you don’t know?”
“Just calm down, I’m sure they’ll turn up somewhere. Just keep looking,” Maedhros said. Despite this, Maglor did not look at all comforted—in fact, his large black eyes became glassy with tears. Maedhros bit his lip and glanced at the clock; there was only an hour left before they had to leave, and he needed that time to practice his speech …
“Come on, I’ll help you look,” Maedhros said, putting his papers down. Maglor nodded and left, his elder brother following behind him.
“I’ve checked my room, the workshop, the library, even the kitchens—but I haven’t found them anywhere,” Maglor supplied, wringing his hands.
“Don’t worry, we’ll find them,” Maedhros said, hastily descending the stairs and scanning the large parlor for any sign of the missing music sheets. “Where did you see them last?”
Maglor bit his lip. “Well, I left them on the table there, but when I went to get them they were gone …”
Maedhros groaned. That meant they could be anywhere—the twins certainly could have taken them, and he would not put such sabotage past Celegorm or Curufin either.
Speaking of which, he caught a blond-haired figure slinking down the hall in his periphery. “Celegorm,” he said sternly, “have you seen Maglor’s music sheets?”
The immediate answer was “No,” but Celegorm did not turn to look at him, which made Maedhros very suspicious. “Come out here,” he ordered—and when Celegorm did, both Maedhros and Maglor let out horrified gasps.
“How did that happen?” Maedhros demanded, pointing at the large smear of mud on the front of Celegorm’s robes, which reached all the way up to his cheeks. His hair, which had been clean only a short while ago, was tangled with sticks and leaves. He looked like a wild urchin.
“Huan and I went for a walk,” Celgorm answered sullenly. “He jumped on me.”
Maedhros swore loudly again, slapping a hand to his forehead—if there was one thing that would be more disgraceful than Maedhros forgetting his speech or Maglor missing a few notes of his song, it was Celegorm on any given day. He was already boisterous and rude as it was, but if he showed up at a formal gathering drenched in mud, Fëanor might just erupt into flames.
“Under no circumstances is Atar to see you like this,” Maedhros said. When Celegorm nodded abjectly, Maedhros added, “I’ll help you change if you tell us where you last saw Mag’s sheets. And I won’t tell our parents.”
Celegorm turned a little red and said, “... I may know where they are.”
As it turned out, Celegorm had hidden them in his room as a joke. When the sheets had been returned to Maglor, Maedhros helped Celegorm pick out another outfit and remove the moss and sticks from his hair before he finally returned to his own room, horrified to discover that nearly thirty minutes had elapsed.
“What a waste of time!” he wailed, snatching up his notes and reading through them once more, the realization creeping up on him that there was no way he could memorize it now. He debated whether he should just shove his notes into his pocket and recite it at Finwë’s celebration, but ultimately decided against it. If he had to, he would just make something up and hope it sounded moving.
“Children! Fifteen minutes!” came the loud voice of his father from downstairs. Maedhros sighed.
“Raise your voices in cheer, for it is the pride of all Finwë’s descendents and people to celebrate and honor the day of his birth, and celebrate what he has done for us.” He could remember that last line well enough, but something about it simply did not sound right. The whole speech would sound terrible; he would never be as good a speaker as his father. Maedhros put his head in his hands and tried to calm his frustration.
A soft knock on his door interrupted his thoughts, and Maedhros quickly looked up to see Caranthir in the doorway. “I don’t want to go to the party,” he said glumly, his grey eyes fixed on the ground. “Ammë says I have to be nice and talk to everyone, and Atar’s making me wear this stupid thing.” He half-heartedly raised his arms to show his disapproval of the plum-and-silver tunic edged with scarlet, which was a far cry from his preferred taste: solid black clothes that would make him blend into any crowd.
Maedhros sighed.
“Neither do I,” he admitted. “At least you don’t have to give a speech.”
Caranthir nodded and shuffled into the room, taking a seat on Maedhros’s bed. “Galadriel is going to make fun of me.”
Maedhros kept back a smile; his golden-haired cousin, just a few years younger than him, certainly did like picking on him at times. “Just try not to get in a fight with her,” he advised, glancing up at the clock. Five ‘til. He did not have time to get into a long conversation with Caranthir about his feelings, which was what usually happened when he came to talk to him.
“That’s why I don’t want to talk to anyone,” Caranthir said, “because no one wants me around anyways, and even when I am around them, they make fun of me!”
“I don’t make fun of you,” Maedhros said, kneeling down in front of him. “Anytime before or after my speech, if you just want to stay close to me, I won’t let anyone bother you—even Galadriel.”
Caranthir looked up at him. “You mean that?” he muttered.
“Of course,” Maedhros promised.
“Boys! We have to leave now!” their mother called.
Maedhros stood up, trying not to look disappointed—his last precious moments of practice had disappeared, and now he would just have to hope for the best.
Finwë’s party was as resplendent as it was full; all of the Noldor had been invited, as well as his own family, so the High King’s palace was packed with guests, decorations, and fine food.
All Maedhros could think about was the thousands of eyes that would see him completely ruin his speech. He neither ate nor drank, and tried to avoid running into any of his relatives—especially Fingon, his regal, collected, too-polite cousin who was his biggest competition—until the time came.
When all of the guests had taken their seats at the long table in the Dining Hall, Finwë raised his glass and gave a brief welcoming address.
Maedhros frantically played the words of his speech in his mind, willing himself to remember them as his grandfather went on, hardly hearing the words. ‘Esteemed kin, we gather under Telperion’s silver glow and Laurelin’s golden boughs to celebrate the birthday of the High King, my grandfather—
“Mae! It’s time!” Maglor hissed into his ear, making him jump.
Maedhros looked fearfully around the table, seeing that every single one of the guests had turned to look expectantly at him. They clearly expected something grand from the eldest son of Fëanor. He dared to glance at his father, who had fixed him with a prompting stare that was likely more intense than he intended, but it gave him no confidence.
Maedhros swallowed and began to stand up, but Caranthir—who was sitting on his other side—pressed something into his hand. “Take this,” he whispered.
It was Maedhros’s speech—but not the dirty, messy paper he had left at home. It was neat, organized, and clear, and more than that, small enough to fit in the palm of his hand without being noticed. Relief flooded him, and he looked down at Caranthir, who gave him the barest smile and nodded for him to continue.
“Esteemed guests,” Maedhros began, “We are gathered under Telperion’s silver glow and Laurelin’s golden boughs to celebrate the birthday of the High King, my grandfather Finwë.” His voice, rather than being a shaking, muttering mess, was clear and resonant, like that of a confident lord who was reciting words he knew by heart. “In his wisdom and kindness, he has guided us since our begetting, fostering the forge of our passions with love that burns as brightly as the stars above. Never have I heard him speak a harsh word, make a wrong decision, or make anyone—myself included—feel like we are less than him. He is the best King, and the best grandfather, the Noldor could have asked for—gifted by the Valar in more ways than we could count. Without him, the world would be a much darker place. So, let us raise our voices in joy to honor his birthday, and may we do the same for every year to come.”
The assembly erupted in applause, pride swelling in their hearts for both their King and the eloquent young Prince who honored him.
Maedhros caught his parents’ eyes, and saw that they were beaming with joy, his father clapping heartily along with the rest. Pride filled Maedhros’s heart, and he sat down before his legs gave way beneath him. He hardly heard Fingon’s speech past the pounding in his heart, remnants from his earlier panic—he still could hardly believe he’d done it. Far from failing miserably, he had received a standing ovation!
He looked down at the little paper in his hand, finally processing it; where had it come from? That was not his messy scrawl on the sheet, but Curufin’s neat print, surprisingly enough. He glanced quizzically at Maglor, who leaned in and whispered: “It was the least we could do after you sacrificed all your time to help us, brother.”
Tumblr media
I know I'm a day late, and I'm quite ashamed of myself ... who eagerly awaits their favorite challenge for an entire year and then starts participating late!? I really hope you forgive me, @feanorianweek, and I hope this story is still entertaining! If you want context for the narrative of my stories, read this post!
Despite how challenging this story was to write, I had so much fun with it - I really feel like I nailed that frantic time preparing for a formal event with so many people, and I wanted to focus on Maedhros in his adolescence; not as refined or eloquent as he will become later, but always there to help his little brothers (however reluctantly) and always striving to be a noble leader!

extremely bad faith mandalorian takes, do not engage please i cannot stop hysterically laughing at this season and thus am incapable of level-headed discourse. these are just words I want to write down to see if they look as unbelievable as they sound in my head
my favorite telltale sign of the embarrassing s3 story optics is their like. genuinely hilarious ostrich-neck-in-the-sand rehash of past story arcs down to the aesthetic fucking beats. that's the shit sandwich that really gets me in this whole stank buffet. It is astonishing. Like there was genuinely nothing else they could come up with as to not upset the status quo of their fickle, marketable story limbo, and so they, and I cannot stress this part enough, ignored established character progression beats and just did them again. they just did them again. from the top, using shockingly similar payoffs, right in front of our own eyes. and I just sat there and ate it!!
din has to re-love his toxic death cult after clearly progressing away from their value systems cause he's cooler with that helmet always on. gotta keep the limbo going. his main north star, set up as his way out of said cult, gets recruited into it instead, completely defanging the possibility of interrogating the entire bedrock of trauma and insecurity that kept uncomfortably clashing with his expressions of love and humanity in the past. now they're all one big happy gel of a Cool Dude With Gun and Kid. gotta keep the limbo going.
at some point he also has to re-learn his droid prejudices to then re-unlearn them again, a couple of times even, for no discernible thematic reason other than to make him act like an ass to some type of botched working class allegories (??? the fuck is going on with droids this season in general??). gotta keep the limbo going.
grogu, meanwhile, has to re-earn a mandalorian piece of armor to re-reinforce his allegiance (and here I was thinking the rond would be a pulpy setup for some shot-dead-fake-out but how can chekov's anything exist in this mangled mess), cause mandalorian culture is a live service videogame of tiered ranks now, so the potential upgrades are conveniently endless. gotta keep the limbo going. speaking of their culture, he also, hilariously, has to then be re-adopted by din to re-reveal their paternal bond and re-dramatize their love. cause he's not a foundling anymore, see; he's an apprentice now! the words are different. that makes the emotional meaning reset also. I know this from film school. audiences have no object permanence, right? they're all fish? we're writing this show for fucking fish, right? like in the aquariums? gotta keep the limbo going.
and they just keep doing this. they will dress it all up with technicalities and loud Plot Noise but it is all emotionally the same exact shit that has already happened and it is making me feel insane. same exact payoffs for backpedaled setups that were already, for all storytelling purposes, finished and done away with. it is comical. they're telling nothing. non-stories and recursive sisyphean plotlines that reset primitive character arcs every five episodes like it's the most unmoored bermuda triangle-ass time loop in space. you cannot even really twist it into some type of harmless expression in lieu of episodic TV, or even something more campy, cause like. it does have a rapidly progressing plotline about big and overarching stuff, stuff that is holistic, linear, and goal-oriented, like retaking homeworlds and reforging their broken nation and fighting mr gideon man. it's not a weekly detective romp with B plots galore, not anymore at least. but the characters somehow start and end in the same spots they always were. like the big ole smoking fucking gun that that is.
it feels like the most clear-cut example of plot moving forward - at breakneck speed sometimes - while characters progress either backwards or just. like. sideways and then back again?? almost like dropping a teabag into an empty mug and calling it a beverage. I see the pretty taste-making ingredient sitting sadly at the bottom there, but where's the substance? what is this all for? to wank it to how cool mandalorians look when they fly? I mean they can be pretty cool, no argument there. but some of them could be cooler if they felt things deeply and that changed them, fundamentally. you know, how A-to-B storytelling does sometimes.
and I am achingly aware that I am aging out of this show's target audience, I know that. but the death by comparison within the same bloody show's adjacent seasons is just as harrowing. what happened. it just worked too good is what. a corporation responsible for telling a myth will never allow it to finish if it suddenly starts hemorrhaging this much money. grogu and din can't progress, even aesthetically, past their season 1 selves, no matter how much that same season's story was setting them up to. cause inscrutable sad dad and cute doll baby combo. we'll either throw away those story hooks or keep resetting them. keep the limbo going.
groundhog day-ass show. it's hysterical. I can't be normal about how mask-off blatant this all is now.
and to follow this up to andor of all things. really clinches it, you know. no notes. just no notes, disney. tens across the board

not a lot of thoughts on the 'have you heard/do you like this song?' polls (results seem too hard to control for; people may not like the specific clip chosen or may not listen to more than a few seconds), but the neverending story theme song getting an overwhelming 'yes' is scaring me
