Let’s play truth or dare! I’ll go first
Truth: it’s a conspiracy theory that there are classified documents in Ivana Trump’s casket
Dare: I dare the FBI to prove me wrong

Too bad homophobes just don’t care about good omens. I feel like if they got upset about s2 that would give Neil the satisfaction and motivation he needs to write a gay sex scene for s3.

thinking about when the school shooting episode came out and people acted like the episode was. pro school shooting. like they thought the very clear "it is fucked up that this happens and even more fucked up that its brushed off as people being over sensitive just bc people really want their guns" was them actually saying that the only people who dont want their kids to die are hysterical women

Okay I know everyone and their mother has seen that post about how South Park like single-handedly revived antisemitism in the late 90s/2000s or whatever, but I really honestly think that's a weird and bad assessment of both the cultural context that South Park originated in and the cultural impact that it ended up having. I'm definitely not saying that South Park and shows like it didn't end up normalizing "ironic" bigotry for a certain subset of people, mostly teenagers, but I am saying that to act like one single cartoon was wholly responsible for a revival of bigotry is giving Far too much power to one show, especially if you take into consideration that culture was kinda just Like That sometimes at the time (and honestly still is). It all feels very "video games cause violence" to me. A blanket assumption that everyone reenacts everything they see on TV all the time without anything else potentially influencing their actions and also that media predates the cultural context it exists in and not almost always the other way around

weeeeell it was confirmed that there was some fallout between sm and leighton and its so much worse than i thought but honestly not surprised because some of the homophobic jokes they made in videos were a bit weird but i always thought leighton was fine with them🙁 (referencing to leightons newest tweets)
speculation in the dms w mutuals had us assuming difficult work environment (including bigoted jokes and harassment thats played off as bits bc they were all friends before they were employees) was the reason leighton left alongside being pinned all the blame for the pop up. like u said, in retrospect is it surprising? not necessarily but it does leave a bad taste having it confirmed. now i dont think theyre necessarily evil dudes but they dont know how to run a company and its very clear they grew up on iffy ideas in the first place that is definitely impacting how they treat others. theyre treading fine lines and its continuously biting them in the ass (hiring friends and under qualified employees, not having a manager or pr or a team for social media((jim does not count idgaf)) assuming everyone is a friend rather than their employee leading to questionable bits that in any other work place would lead to a lawsuit)
the tweets in question
i think leighton has every right to call them out and i think matt and ryan need to realize how big of a business theyre running and grow up a bit to run it appropriately. i however do not think the kiss was phony from one end But besides that i will continue to wish leighton the best

I hate the new trend of youtubers uploading hours long videos because for whatever reason, the market is eating up long ass videos that needed serious trimming revisions at the script phase, let alone the tangents they include and indulge in on purpose or the agonizing rambling vlog tone they take when they go off topic. If you’re going to call this an essay can you revise and edit it to convey its most important information clearly and concisely please
