You know, if you asked me literally a few hours ago what I thought of Dalek-focused plots, I would have told you that they're a bit tired. I'm weary of Daleks. They were scary in Nine's run when I was fresh and new to the series and didn't know anything about them, and then they were sort of... clinging to that novelty, still, in early Ten's run, but after that they got more tired and more tired...

...Except then the 2023 DW Children In Need special pops up with Dalek backstory and Davros (!!) and suddenly I'm like oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, actually, maybe I COULD get back into Daleks. Maybe they COULD be fun. Tell me more.
