#WonderCon2024 was truly amazing! I got to see @chgreenblatt at his “Magic of #Jellystone” panel! Got to meet him and get my Jelly-related questions answered. Got a favorite Jellystone fanart of mine signed (he voices Peter BTW) And I even gave him Jelly-stickers + charms from my shop!

He’s an amazing guy and really cares for the fandom! And as fans we need to continue supporting him and his amazing show since Chowder and Harvey (and the first three seasons of SpongeBob. Remember, HE’s the reason for Band Geeks). He’s an inspiration and I hope to become something similar to him one day.

Pikmin 4 Planet Generalizations

I added this to the big Pikmin 4 Character Trivia post, but I know most people aren't going to be checking for updates on that (btw, there's been a few, so check that out if you're interested).

These are observations I've made about similarities between castaways from the same planet. Since Pikmin has made a habit of saying that certain traits are inherent to specific races/planets, such as the Koppaites' inability to plan and being picky eaters and the Hocotatians' preference for vegetables and seeking treasure, it may be safe to say that similarities found between castaways from the same planet might be reflective of their respective races.

However, this is all speculative on my part. Do not take any of the following as fact.

I also haven't included any castaways/planets where there was only 1 castaway to get info from since unless they explicitly said so, there's no way to determine what traits are theirs and what could be attributed to their race/culture. Info like that would be a part of the main trivia post.

Sozor (Dalmo, Grace, Horatio)

Have anti-social personalities. Dalmo prefers creatures to people, Grace seems disinterested in society as a whole, and Horatio is inept at social interactions (compared to other castaways).

Flukuey (Jin, Molly, Dash, Patch)

Have unstable professions and/or are adventure seekers. Jin is an explorer, Molly is a streamer of limited success, Dash is a spelunker from a well off-family, and Patch is unemployed but purposefully puts himself in dangerous situations for the thrill.

Ooji (Francois, Kingsly)

Love flowers/plant life. Francois studies plant-life, and Kingsly is a florist. Given that Ooji is also said to have "lush jungles," flora may be very important to everyday life on the planet.

Koodgio (Lapi, Boris)

Artistic types. Lapi is a painter and Boris is an author.

Siguray (Shnauz, Kit, Osa)

Interested in the qualities and history of materials and items. Shnauz appraises treasure, Kit is interested in minerals, and Osa is interested in archeology.

The following are castaways where it's difficult to determine if their similar traits would be found in their race due to other factors:

Ogura (Sy, Pitunia)

Both are interested in studying the onion and their environmental factors surrounding it, but both are also a part of the Research Task Force, a group made of individuals that are interested in studying the planet in general, so it's hard to say if this would be something inherent to all Ogurains, or if they just happen to have a mutual interest in this area of study.

Enohee (Ren, Frise, Muggs, Wolfgang)

3 of the 4 are a part of the same TV crew, so would have common interests by default. Arguably all 4 are interested in entertainment as Ren was on a cooking show, so TV might be a very important industry to Enohee.

Neechki (Kaia, Sheeba, Keesh, Mika, Chewy)

4 of the 5 are in the same club and would have similar interests by default (and even then, Mika admits that she knows very little about planetary science), and Chewy has little in common with the rest of them. However, Chewy notes that Sheeba also resembles her boss, so it's possible that the "small" body type is very common (but not exclusive) to Neechikians.

Nijo (Santi, Bernard)

Both became pilots and were prone to changing jobs frequently, but their "Dynamic Duo" shtick of always being a part of each other's lives is played as a joke, so their similar lives/interests may not have anything to do with their race/culture.

Planets where I couldn't identify a common thread:

Enohay (Puddle, Vonda, Bernise)

I would have said creative/artistic fields due to Puddle being a stylist and Vonda being a singer, but I don't think a fortune-teller really falls under that umbrella. Perhaps they're all "dramatic"?

Conohan (Twyla, Chowder, Alpin, Fawks, Beaux)

They all have different professions and interests, two are siblings, and none have especially similar personality traits. In a sense, I suppose this would imply that Conohan is a very diverse planet.

Ohri (Yonny, Dingo)

Neither seems to have much in common with the other aside from being in the Rescue Corps.

Giya (Shepherd, Collin, Russ)

Another diverse group of only rescue officers. However, given the stark difference between Collin's and Russ's financial situations, there are implications that Giya has significant class inequality.

Hello, April! 🧩🎗️☀️ "Easter Sunday" might be over, weeks ago albeit early. But, here's something for a late celebration. 🐇🥚🥰

• 1st Artwork: You see, I came this idea when Riya 🐰🏎️ strolling around with her comfy owned A/W clothes (gifted from Maxwell 🖌️🐰), while hunting for Easter Eggs. 🐇🥚 IRL, It'll be super hot when wearing warm clothes during the heatwave. ☀️🔥🥵 NOTE to itself: Wearing A/W clothes during the heatwave wasn't a good idea. ☝😮

• 2nd Artwork: Speaking of heatwave, Riya had made it in time when the sun hits in the middle, she immediately went to her bedroom for changing her favorite comfy A/W clothes to her household clothes (or I should say in my Filipino language: "Damit Pambahay" 🇵🇭), with her slippers on. 👚🩴

Riya 🐰🏎️: And don't forget, I invited this adorable pink bunny to my awesome bedroom! So, welcome my little adorable pink critter! 🥰🩷🐰🤗 Man, I never seen a rare color bunny before! But, keep in mind, my fur was more on "light magenta" than pink. 😅 As for my favorite owning A/W Clothes, I don't have a hanger so I decided to flat my clothes on different places from my beanbag chair, to my bed, and on my floor. I'll go with the Nutcracker - only bc of all of those ballet classes I took as a kid. Hey btw, have you ever seen the the Mark Morris version of the Nutcracker - The Hard Nut? It's one of my favorite versions of the ballet.

Going with soup - esp where I live. Love a good soup in the winter/fall. Faves: Tomato, Clam chowder (New England and Manhattan) Butternut Squash, Chicken and Dumplings

4.) Rollerblading or ice skating? 

I can do neither, but I like to watch ice skating. So lets go with that.

5.) Trains or planes?

I've only done short train rides and like them. Maybe that? It might be nice to try one of those travel by train/ sleepover night on one. I don't mind planes. No fear of flying - but ugh I do hate being stuck on a long non stop flight. I get antsy being stuck in my seat.

6.) Gloves or mittens?

Gloves.

7.) Opera or death metal music?

Opera

8.)Movies or TV shows? 

OK - that's hard. I can't choose! I love both formats

9.) Rice or pasta?

Again - Love both! - but I'll say rice as a 1st choice, pasta is a close second if I had to pick something from a menu.

10.) Fleece or flannel?

Fleece! Love my Fleece zip up jackets and fleece lined sweatpants when its cold!

11.) Tissues or handkerchiefs?

I like handkerchiefs but I use them only like for things like blotting sweat or make up or such ( does that make me sound like a Regency lady? 😂) Tissues are my preferred thing to use if I have a horrible cold.

12.)Piggy back or bridal style?

Piggy back. - for some reason I get paranoid someone might drop me being held bridal style. Piggy back I can hold on for dear life! 😂

13.) 'Italian' or 'Chinese' food?

Again - another example of how I love both. But will choose Chinese food first, because I'd never be able to turn down some bao or dumplings dim sum - god I love dim sum.

14.) Flying or teleporting?

Teleporting. Something amazing about just blipping from one place to another. Flying is cool though.

15.)Adopted or biological children?

No preference - I've got biological kids, but I'd love an adopted one as much as I loved the ones I popped out myself. Though at this time. No plans for any more kids. I'm DONE!

16.) Dragon or unicorn?

Dragon! I think because I like bright, shiny things to hoard. (I have a brooch collection that Kurt Hummel might envy - though none of its designer!) And they are also so powerful and beautiful.

17.) Picnic in the park or movie night at home? 

I'm going to say picnic during a movie night at home. Not a really big outdoorsy person. But the idea of spreading setting up a picnic inside is fun.

Replaying Nancy Drew without Cheating - Part 8: Danger on Deception Island

I’m going to go ahead and argue that this game, this charming, riveting, addictive game, is the start of a series of 3-5 games that are universally beloved by the Nancy Drew community. I don’t know many people who don’t genuinely have a nostaglic love for this game, me included. In fact, I would have considered this my second favorite for many many years, right after Treasure in a Royal Tower, which can never be replaced in my heart.

I’m also going to go ahead and tell you: this was the first game that I didn’t feel like I needed to cheat even once. The only thing I slightly struggled with was the anagram puzzle from Hilda (BTW, I have a bone to pick with Nancy’s “handy dandy Anagram Buster.” How is this thing handy dandy? I can do what it does using a sheet of paper. It doesn’t bust anagrams at all. Who would have made such a useless piece of software?) Overall though, I don’t think the puzzles are particularly hard, and there’s always something to do next, so there is very little aimless meandering about in confusion. I’ve also played this a fair number of times, so there’s that too.

This is a classic and will always be one of my absolute favorites. It has some of the coolest, most unique elements out of any game, not to mention a top notch soundtrack, and I can guarantee that I will be replaying this game for many years to come.

Some of my thoughts:

1. I think one thing I like about this game is that it is a lot of looking around/snooping/figuring things out by yourself; the game does not rely on having a bunch of conversations with the suspects. In fact, in this play-through, I was surprised at how little Nancy actually does chat with other characters. There were times I was CRAVING some human interaction, but all I could say to people was “It was nice talking to you,” despite the fact that I hadn’t been TALKING to anyone at all.

2. Weird that the first thing Nancy does in this game is get obsessed with a random piece of driftwood that she finds in the water. Who even is she. I relate less and less to Nancy with each passing game.

3. Once again, fuck Nancy’s anagram buster. I hate anagrams, and I hate false advertising.

4. Katie Firestone will never not be a knock-off, more boring Joanna Riggs to me. She is so whiny and boring that giving her food poisoning actually gives me a goddamn dopamine rush (also, WHY does she have some much expired shit in her fridge anyway? The woman JUST went grocery shopping). Despite the fact that you never actually see her do anything wrong, I don’t blame the town for disliking her. I’d love nothing more than to grab my torch and pitchfork and run her out of Snake Horse Harbor alongside clam chowder queen Jenna Deblin and dungeness crab daddy Holt Scotto.

5. Speaking of Holt Scotto, someone go and check that man’s cholesterol levels. He must be slowly eating every male dungeness crab within 10 miles of Snake Horse Harbor, based on how he takes all the crabs visitors bring him and cryptically says that he’ll “take care of that crab” for you. 

6. The whole storyline of the tunnels under the town and the history of shanghaiing was the best part of this game. Wandering around underground, actually figuring out on your own (without having to be explicitely told) that the burglars had to have been using the tunnels to rob all the local businesses, finding your way into the sea caves - all very fun gameplay.

7. As cool as finding the orca in the sea caves is, I can’t imagine how scared shitless I would be in real life.

8. Why is Dr. Predoviciu casually the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen? Girl, TELL ME YOUR HAIR CARE ROUTINE!!

9. After winning a whale watching tour with Andy Jason and taking a bunch of photos, Nancy thanks Andy for letting her use his camera. Uh, is she getting these pictures at any point? Is he going to send her a USB flash drive or some shit? Why didn’t Nancy have her own camera (as a supposedly semi-famous and always prepared amateur detective)?? This makes absolutely no sense to me.

10. Why do we then basically have to force Andy to give us a keychain after the tour, when the keychain probably costs about 50 cents? The sign says the keychain is free to “everyone who takes our whale watching tour,” NOT to “everyone who PAYS for our whale watching tour.” What a crock of bullshit. For some reason, I had a crush on Andy Jason as a kid (that curly hair! that weirdly buff body!) but this playthrough made me realize that I actually loathe him to my very core.

11. Therefore, there is nothing more satisfying than this moment (not even making Katie Firestone throw up over the side of her boat):

12. Speaking of the ending, this game may have the best (or at least one of the best) ending sequences of any game. The fact that Nancy goes up to a RANDOM ASS FREIGHT BOAT, in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, CLIMBS ABOARD, has to STEALTHILY HIDE ON DECK TO NOT GET CAUGHT BY POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SMUGGLERS, and then FIND KATIE TIED UP BELOW DECK??? Fucking genius. Amazing. It might be the stupidest thing Nancy ever does (the only person she tells her plan to is ANDY FUCKING JASON, after all, so there is no one who would know where to look should she go missing), but it leads to a high-stakes, adrenaline-pumping last several minutes.

13. Hilda. Hilda MF Swenson. The fact that she calls Nancy the millisecond that Nancy finds whatever she was looking for is absolutely hilarious. Hilda is literally spending her life just watching Nancy’s every move through her binoculars, and giving her convoluted, long-winded puzzles to solve for absolutely no reason. Hilda is a more entertaining character than all the others put together.

Ugh, what a fantastic game. The only thing that is keeping me going after finishing is the knowledge that the next few games are equally as brilliant, so I know that I have much to look forward to. On my way to get screamed at by Shorty for picking a slightly underripe green bean. <3

My Redragon Hylas (H260) Gaming Headset Review (w/ my Paper Dolls) - Part 1 [Jan 18th, 2023]

Hello! 2023 has already arrived, and I'm starting off with this new gaming headset from Christmas of 2022 (gifted by my lil' brother). 🎄🎁 Pls watch my recorded video. ↑🎦📲

So, here's Part 1 of my Redragon Hylas (H260) gaming headset (featuring my paper dolls). 🎮🎧😊

So, without further ado, let's get started:

1st to 3rd Image(s): ↑

• Here's the box itself. Nothing much to say, but some promising pictures of the inside item, as well as some information & specs about the Hylas gaming headset. 📦🙂 Are you excited to reveal the main item, you two? Then, let's not waste our time! 😁

• Inside the box are three accessories. Including, a fold user manual, an audio adapter cable, and a sheet of Redragon stickers. The latter, I don't usually use stickers. But, on the bright side, that audio adapter cable is very useful for my single audio jack devices (e.g. smartphone, MP3 player, etc.) Right, you two? Yeah. 🙂

• Finally, the main item of the show! The Redragon Hylas gaming headset! Man, it looks pretty neat in white color. However, the black could be better, although my Lil brother said "they all ran out of stock at the gaming store". Mmmm, It's alright. After all, I've already got the black color in a form of a Redragon keyboard (Rudra K565R [CLICK ME!]), so why not add a white gaming accessory to the mix, huh? 🙂

• [8th Image] My paper dolls here are trying to fit in with my new gaming headset. Unfortunately, Chowder went crumble & he hurt himself in a uncomfortable sandwich between Panini & the right earmuff. I guess, they're too tight for them... Hehe.😅

• Now, that my paper dolls are out of away, let's dive in some anatomy of my new gaming headset.

• [9th to 15th Images] The construction itself we're made in cheap plastic material, which gives this a budget line-up PC peripheral. From the microphone piece (which is short) to soft cushion earmuffs & headband (which are soft & easy to press w/ my fingers. Plus, the "Redragon" logo on top of the cushion headband), to the adjustable headbands are also made in cheap plastic instead of a piece of metal material.

• [16th Image] By far, my favorite feature is the built-in cable (measuring up to 6-foot) was made in nylon braided material for anti-bend & anti-tangle features, plus a velcro cable strap for adjusting. If only this gaming headset will be a detachable cable instead of the opposite. Then again, I'm not gonna use it for my outside purposes, so my gaming headset remains at home. 🏠🖥️🎧

• [17th & 18th Images] And let's not forget the audio cables (color green for sound & color pink for microphone) & one USB type-A. Which are gold-plated, by the way. The latter of whom for the RGB light, which I'll show to you, in Part 2. Plus, I REALLY do appreciate that they include USB & audio jack cap protectors to prevent corrosion. And when I'm done using my Redragon headset, I could plug it in w/ two aforementioned caps & then tie it up with the velcro cable strap for a clean approach. 🎧🧹😊

• Alright, let's have some comparison. I have my current wireless headset, the ZNT Soundfit. Between the size & style, they're completely differ w/ opposite ways.

BTW #2: Pls ignore the tear cushions of my current ZNT headphones. We've all been there when it comes to wearing headphones on our daily basis.

• Looks like they prefer my current ZNT headphones over my new Redragon gaming headset, considering they're snug together without a single hurt while listing some (Lo-Fi) music. Good for them! 😊🎧🎵

Damn Good Pizza Recipe

My Awesome Chowder recipe seems to have gotten pretty popular, which makes me very, very happy. Good food for all! So, let’s follow it up with the latest iteration of my “Detroit style” pizza recipe. Had some tonight and ... damn! Hence the name. So, if you don’t mind a bit of history, here’s where it started.

Please start with that version, because I’m only going to describe my twist(s) on it. J. Kenji López-Alt did a fantastic job putting it together. It moved me. So I got the right kind of pan, and some “brick” cheese, and made this several times over the period of almost a year. It was good. Fun fact BTW: I used to live in Detroit, just north of Hamtramck, where Buddy’s became famous for this style ... but I didn’t remember them. When I asked my brother about that, he said, “Yeah, we preferred Shield’s” (which made the same style and was also close by) so I guess that’s why. Anyway, when I replaced the pepperoni with kielbasa, “Hamtramck Style Pizza” was born and became a family favorite.

But I still wasn’t satisfied. The crust kept turning out a bit too focaccia-like for my taste. As it turns out, I have a friend who’s a great cook. I noticed that she and her hubby made a similar kind of pizza regularly, but in a cast-iron skillet. I asked, and she said it was not preheated. Just a cold skillet. OK, I thought. Let’s try it. In fact I made the same dough, with half going into a Detroit-style steel pan and half going into the skillet. I also realized at the last moment that I was out of brick cheese, so I used some cheese curds (from Wegmans) that I had on hand.

Oh. My. God.

The skillet version was hands down the winner. Excellent crunchy crust, like any good pizza should have IMO. Squeaky curds. The first time I made it with Italian sausage, this time I made it with the family-traditional kielbasa, and both have been amazing. To summarize, here are the differences from the version at Serious Eats.

Half recipe for the dough (to fit the skillet)

90 minutes rise time, 20 minutes relax time (so 40 minutes quicker - yay!)

Kielbasa instead of pepperoni

Curds instead of brick cheese

Light on the sauce (a matter of personal taste - my wife prefers none at all)

24 minutes at 450°F

The previous version was pretty good for an amateur. This version is “fuck your pizza shop, I’d rather eat my own” good. Friend confirms that they never order pizza out any more either. I just hoovered up 2/3 of the last one, and could probably have eaten the whole thing gladly if I didn’t need to feed my wife as well. It’s just ... Damn Good Pizza. I hope you enjoy it.

Swissa: killed by Sireerie on Earth

Aster: killed by humans on Earth

Title: SHIPping Experience

Last year, I've drew nine couples in one artwork during 💌 "Love Day"💘 (you know the one), then another couple has reunited after the return of Mocho 🐰🔵(Princkleminckle's OC). Links down below, if you want to see my artworks. But, one person who never been planning to get a date, and that's May 🐰👊💥 (Bryan360's OC). Since her debut, we haven't seen her planning to get a love with the boys because she's busying on herself for almost 10 years (kind a like me, in real life ☺ But, unlike myself...). That is until, my Chowder OC Aace Speedster 🐶🐺⭐ stepped in and he immediately had a love interest on May, as evidence from his wonderful story that I made it for him (again, links down below.). 😊 Finally, the new young love birds we're getting along from place to place, and among attractions that they visited is riding on the ship re-enacting the well-known 1997 romantic film, "Titanic". 🚢🌅 And since their wearing custom "Soft Rock" clothes courtesy of Aace's Speedster Twins, they can listen the wonderful Titanic's OST from Celine Dion → [CLICK ME!]. 🎧🎶😊 Man, who doesn't loved her beautiful song for "Love Day", huh?

Aace 🐶🐺⭐[wearing his custom "Soft Rock" clothes]: It surwe (sure) is! 😁 I learn this moment fwom (from) the mowvie (movie) I've watched. Such an emotional mowvie, though. 😊 Pwus (Plus), that wonderful music that we've wistened (listened) was icy on the top of our Valentine's Day moment cake! 🍰💘😋 We're the king and queen of the world, that's fow surwe (for sure). 🚢🌅😄

there’s just something about clingy Bakugou that makes me wanna rip my tonsils out

laying in bed beside him, but you’re not directly touching him cause, fuck, it’s hot as hell and he’s basically a walking furnace. he keeps scooting over until you’re practically hanging off the edge of the bed. finally he just says fuck it and rolls over, throwing a leg over your hip, tucking his arm under you to hold your boob, squeezing your tummy with his other hand. he doesn’t move, despite the humidity of the air around you—if anything, he pulls you in closer.

clingy clingy clingy!!! all of your phone calls are joint conversations, but he’s polite enough to whisper instead of taking over and asking your friend what they did next to their ex’s clothes. he’s glued to your hip the entire conversation, popping little fruits n snacks into your mouth when it hangs open long enough when your friend spills on what they did next. expects a kiss as compensation, though.

when he’s drunk, he’s even worse. practically lays completely on top of you, head smothered in your neck. it’s like he’s a fucking python or something, with how he wraps thick arms and thicker thighs around your body for the entire night. you’ve been tempted a few times to just pick him up like a koala bear when he won’t move when you say you have to pee, but you think your knees would probably break the moment you stood up.

you can’t get any work done when he’s off for the day. he doesn’t even necessarily want your attention, he just has to be close enough for you to touch him, or for him to begrudgingly reach out and touch you when you don’t take his hints of coughing and nudging.

hold my hand ass mf, even if you’re just sitting in bed trying to read. he’ll turn the page for you, don’t worry. he’s just annoying. I love him
