#tw grandparent death #specifically grandfather #just... before he died he told me he loved hearing me play my instruments but i never finished playing a song #and he was right. i do that all the time. i get distracted and skip around from song to song and only learn snippets so often #but... ever since i did finish a whole song it's just #he isn't here to hear it #he isn't here to be proud of me for jt #and i want to be happy and say he'd be proud but it isn't the same because i just miss him so fucking much man #he was always proud of me no matter what and he's gone #even my parents aren't proud of me. he made me feel like... i was actually good at shit and he's gone
