Ranking JJK Characters I Don't Like
Ranging from mild dislike (14) to LOATHE WITH EVERY INCH OF MY BEING (1).
14. Mai: I don't hate her. I sympathize with her. I just wish she wasn't the way she is.
13. Junpei: I do have compassion for him, but ... school shooter vibes. Not a fan.
12. Noritoshi: Bad vibes.
11. Toji: Bad dad. And he's so nosy, too. Why does he always insert himself into situations with his fists swinging? Actually, now that I think about it, that's kind of iconic behavior. But all it ever really did was create more problems. If he had never inserted himself into the plot, Geto would have probably never turned mass-murderer-cult-leader--WE COULD HAVE HAD EVERYTHING. So it's a pass for me. Also, his haircut is off-putting for reasons I cannot articulate. It's like one day in middle school he got a haircut and just never changed up the style ever again.
10. Jogo: Ugly.
9. Uraume: Character design: slay. Helping Sukuna: not slay.
8. Like every adult from the Zenin clan: BECAUSE THEY SUCK.
7. Tengen: Old and entitled.
6. Kenjaku: Old and entitled part two. What gives him the right?
5. Sukuna: Horrid, nasty man. I feel like I shouldn't have to elaborate.
4. Ui Ui: Annoying. Literally, why are you even here?
3. Mei Mei: First of all, how am I supposed to take you seriously with that stupid braid hanging in front of your face? From the very instant her character was introduced, I did not like her, but I thought maybe I was being a woman hater for no reason, so I really did try to tolerate her. But when we finally saw that scene in season two. PRISON!!! I was right. She's the worst. We are not gonna ignore that. Check her files.
2. That thing with the blond side ponytail: I hate him so much I don't even know his name. I don't care to know it. I would say why do you as a man look like that, but honestly why do you as a HUMAN BEING look like that? Why do you act like that? Why are you skipping around wearing a poorly made DIY toga? Whole nip is hanging out, and no one asked to see that. Why are you HOLDING HANDS with your blade? Freak. There is something so intrinsically, inherently, ONTOLOGICALLY wrong with him, you can't even blame it on childhood trauma or a personality disorder. The only time I ever supported Sukuna was when he bullied this emaciated Jo Jo Siwa lookin' thing in Shibuya.
Mahito: I hate him so much. I hate him more than I've ever hated any character. I actually lose the ability to speak coherently when I think about him because I hate him so much. I think it's so cringe when try-hard dudes say, "When I'm angry all I see is red." But when I think about Mahito it really is like blood and pure rage cloud my vision. He is literally the embodiment of if you gave an edge lord psychopathic eleven year old the power to kill people. "Wee, I'm so powerful and killing people is just SoooOoOoOoOOOo much fun!!" SHUT UP!!!!!!!! SHUT UPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! YOU ARE NOT FUNNY. YOU ARE NOT CUTE. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL IN ANY WAY. He is genuinely the most irritating character I have ever come across. And as the story progresses, he just gets worse. What do you mean he can duplicate himself? Now we have to deal with TWO of this wretched creature? What do you mean he can be decapitated AND HIS HEAD WILL SPROUT LIMBS AND SPRINT AWAY? STOOOOOOOOOP. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON WHAT HAPPENED TO NANAMI--I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT. Mahito is such a nasty, slithy, bothersome, despicable, nauseating little cockroach. "Yuji, you and I are the same." Huh? You thought you did something there, didn't you? You thought you ate and came up with some kind of deep, revolutionary concept? It's giving pretentious philosophy dude who thinks he's superior for being a little contrarian, nihilistic Nietzsche butt licker. When Yuji finally humbled him, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed seeing the fear in his eyes. For one brief, fleeting moment, I could finally understand what sadists must feel like. Honestly, we deserved to watch him suffer, and I wish he would have suffered far more for far longer. Rot in anguish, Mahito. You will not be missed nor forgiven.

Interesting anyways, saw your requests are open 👀
It's about y/n (male reader) who is the son from the prison director, I think her name is Momoko and he is the new cell mate from the four main ones. He got the Japanese side from his dad who he k'lled for reasons. It's at first platonic but maybe he builds up a relationship with Nico. Maybe have them go on for adventures in prison, and maybe the secret of y/n is going to revealed
Take all the time you need for writing it
---
THERE IT IS!! MY FAVORITE PHRASE!!! "Take all the time you need for writing it" Ily
Also, Momoko is also Japanese, so if (Y/N)'s dad is Japanese then...Yeah, (Y/N) got his Japanese side from both his parents duifgidfg
YO the way I said I don't write angst. but then type this as if it was second nature sidjfosijfdi I just really hate bad endings, and I know the angst lovers would drown me in angst prompts if I allowed them--- This ain't proof read btw

I hope this is what you wanted & you enjoy reading! Tips are very appreciated!
TW: mentions of murder of parental figure (not described), hints of domestic abuse
Nico x male! reader
Tumblr media
Overwhelmed
"Roll call! #69!"
"Yo..."
"You have bed hair. #25!"
"Hehe..."
"What are you laughing at? #11!"
"Yeah..."
"When will you stop using so much product? #(N)!"
"Over here."
"Good. #15!"
A moment of silence before Hajime grabbed the bars in the door window, "#15!" "I'm here, I'm here. Geez."
Another day at Nanba Prison, building 13, cell 13. Actually a rather special one, seeing Jyugo spent the whole night sleeping in the cell and had yet to open the door to sneak out. But it was also special because of another reason. Exactly one week ago #(N), (Y/N), was transferred to cell 13.
Something a certain cellmate didn't want to miss out on celebrating. Nico was pretty attached to (Y/N) starting from day one. But besides sitting together to watch anime, (Y/N) never showed any interest in doing any activities with any of his cellmates. He's been invited to their little breakouts numerous times, but he always declined. Nico actually got on his knees and begged him to come along, more often than not. Which resulted in Uno trying to convince him too, but to no avail.
Dragging him along with force wasn't an option either. (Y/N) has proven he's not to be messed with, and his cold glare alone was enough to make them back off. But by far not enough to make them dislike him. Especially Nico. One of the main reasons why he loved his new cellmate so much is BECAUSE of that. He's so mysterious, strong. And so many other exaggerated adjectives the green-haired saw in him.
"I don't need to get beaten up for no reason.", was (Y/N)'s reasoning. It actually went a tiny bit deeper. You see, he was actually the son of the warden, Momoko Hyakushiki. He already feels incredibly embarrassed to be inprisoned, in his mother's prison nontheless, but what if she also found out about him trying to break out? It didn't matter if it was for fun (which is how Uno tried to convince him to come along), attempted breakout is attempted breakout.
(Y/N) didn't want to be associated with bad people more than he already was. His heart was at the right place, and he wanted his mother to know that. That's why he tried hard to be a model inmate, doing whatever he was told by the guards, always being on time, never causing any trouble,... Yes, that was him. A good guy. A functioning member of society.
Not some ruthless murderer who felt like not wanting a father anymore. He was pushed and pushed and pushed to the brink of insanity, and while he didn't believe what he did was the right thing to do, it wasn't something he could've prevented in the moment of self defense.
Perhaps this was the reason why (Y/N) didn't want to grow close to his cellmates. Rather not be close to them incase they find out about it and then push him away.
And while Uno and Rock found his behavior kind of odd, they all decided to just leave him be. But knowing Nico, he couldn't sit still for long, and certainly didn't take 'no' for an answer.
"Hey, (Y/N)!" Startled, the male let go of the mountain, which consisted of his futon, in his arms, giving Nico a sideglare, "What?" The bright smile the green-haired shot him sealed his fate.
An everlasting scowl was planted on (Y/N)'s face, barely keeping up with Nico's quick step as he was dragged along by the arm. Nico didn't seem to mind, sending a lot of smiles his way, "So, what game do you want to play first?", they stopped in their tracks in the middle of the Arcade room. (Y/N) only sighed, letting his gaze wander from game to game, taking in the vibrate colors and cheery background melodies.
His fingers itched to start playing any of these, but was he ready to admit that mere minutes after he, oh so firmly, insisted on staying in the cell? Nope. But trying to leave wasn't an option either. If he played the next simple step right, he'll be playing without admitting anything.
"I dunno.", paired with a slight shrug of his shoulders. An invitation to let Nico decide. "Then let me show you my favorites!" Perfect.
...Nevermind, maybe it wasn't that perfect.
It didn't take long for (Y/N)'s pokerface to disappear without him noticing. And even though he still couldn't relax his muscles all the way and let loose completely, he found himself genuinely enjoying his time with Nico. His cheery personality was contagious, makes one wonder if that was one of his diseases.
The stories Nico started to tell were hilarious, pulling laughter out of (Y/N)'s lungs again and again. This was the first time Nico had heard the male laugh. It made him feel all warm and giddy "Haha! You seem to be having fun! That makes me happy!" It became really hard to deny Nico's observation, not that Nico would've believed him anyways. "I'm having lots of fun too! We should do this more often!"
A tempting thought, really, but it would go against the very first rule he put up for himself when he transferred. ...Was he...Was he overthinking this? Or was he starting to play it down, convincing himself it was no big deal even though it definitely is? In all honesty, (Y/N) started to feel a new emotion tugging on his heart; jealousy. He wanted to be part of those stories the green-haired talked about so fondly.
But what caused this sudden change? It wasn't like he never had the desire to befriend people and create memories together. In actuallity, it was him who swallowed it down in attempt to protect his heart. He didn't want to give in. He didn't want to let it out, but he didn't want to keep it in. What to do? What to do? What to do?
The joycon shook under his vice grip around it, visualizing the conflict that was bubbling up inside of him. This felt so wrong, but also like he needed it. Like an unbearable thirst, turning to mud water to quench it. And when Nico layed his hand upon his own and looked at him with concern in his eyes, he snapped. And cried.
It was too much.
That was many weeks ago. Many, many weeks. The sound of sirenes weren't new to (Y/N), but the thrill of being the cause of them definitely was. Who knew breaking out could be so much fun?
"(Y/N), watch out!" Just in time, (Y/N) managed to lean backwards to dodge a giant ball that was coming from a high spot on the wall. Uno took ahold of his arm before he could tip over completely and tugged him along, "You good?" The (Y/HC)-haired nodded, the shock of that close hit wearing off as he shared a grin with the blonde.
"Guys! This way!"
Uno and (Y/N) joined the other three at the end of the big room, Jyugo just opened a hidden door in the corner. They all squeezed in quickly, not without complaining about how close they were to each other, and as soon as they did, the door closed again, leaving only the boys' imagination to explain the deafening noise coming from behind it.
Letting out a big breath all at the same time, the prisoners allowed themselves to relax for a moment. "This was certainly a new approach of them.", Rock commented. "Yeah, but it was pretty dumb putting the door somewhere so predictable. They seem to have a thing for corner doors.", Jyugo added, shrugging.
That made (Y/N) tense up, "That sounds like a trap to me.", he started to sweat, mumbling on, "You know I enjoy doing this with y'all, but I really don't want my mom to find out about this..." Nico was quick to rush, as best as he could in that tight space, to the males side, "Don't worry! Hajime would never allow the warden to find out!", his cheery reassurance was accompanied by a small hug.
But before it could shake a reaction out of the male, the room began to shake instead...
Heavy, hot breath hit the cold night air, forming small clouds. (Y/EC) eyes looked around, trying to figure out where he ended up. "Oww...", a whine interrupted him, as his eyes settled on the green-haired laying next to him, face first on the ground. "You okay?", his mumble was accompanied by a growl of pain of himself. "Yeah, I'm okay. Egh-", Nico shook the dirt out of his hair, before turning to the other, "What about you?"
Watching those ruby eyes filled with concern look him over like that shook a memory awake. A memory he came to see as his favorite.
"Earth to (Y/N)! Heeeeellooooo!" "WH- Yeah! Yeah, I'm alright! Stop waving your hand infront of my face." Doing as he was told, Nico retracted his hand, giggling, "You're so cute when you're flustered!", the green-haired's giggle would've been contagious if it wasn't for the fract (Y/N)'s face felt like it was on fire. "And what do you mean by that, huh?"
"You often zone out when I'm looking at you, then go all red when you snap out of it!" For a moment, (Y/N) couldn't push out any words, just sounds, blabbering. Thought Nico was the oblivious type. Or maybe...he just paid attention.
"Anyways!", (Y/N) snapped his head in a different direction, "How did we end up on this roof? And where are the others?" Nico crawled closer to the other, sitting down next to him, "I dunno! This place is full of suprises. That's why breaking out is so much fun here!"
Finally a smile reached the (Y/HC)-haired's face as well, "That's true.", his gaze wandered up into the night sky, the stars were as beautiful as ever. But he couldn't admire their beauty for long, being interrupted by a sudden weight on his shoulder. Nico laid his head on it, smiling up at the male in a somewhat soft manner, fairely new to the usual energetic boy, "I really like your smile, it's so pretty. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when I see it!"
Was it happening?
Badumm
Did he feel the same?
Badumm
It's too much-
Badumm
"(Y/N)...you know, I- I really like you! Like-like yo-"
"Nico!"
The sudden silence was deafening to the ears, confusion was written all over Nico's face, while (Y/N) was starting to shake. Too much, too fast. He wasn't prepared! He wanted to tell him that the feeling was mutual, he really did! But he...he had yet to tell him about his secret. There was no way he'd let him in without being 100% honest.
The green-haired laid a hand on (Y/N)'s, trying to calm down the shaking, "What's wrong, (Y/N)?" (Y/N) knew he couldn't run away from letting it out. How will he ever learn to let loose when he keeps binding himself down? With something he had absolutely no controll over.
He wanted to be able to trust, to be able to love.
And that made him snap all over again.
Hiccuping was the only thing breaking the silence. (Y/N) was starting to regret several life decisions. Ever defending himself, ever letting Nico drag him along, ever letting go of his facade, ever letting Nico hear his laugh, ever growing close to his cellmates, ever falling for Nico...It was all too much.
"Agh-"
His back crashed to the hard ground, arms tightly wrapped around his neck. The wet feeling on his chest confused him, heck, the whole body weight on him confused him. "Nico...?"
"You're a hero!", the green-haired's voice was muffed, and you can practically hear the tears he cried, "You're a hero!", he lifted his head to lock eyes with the male he tackled to the ground, "You did it to protect your mom and yourself! You never had the intention to just do it! It must've- must've been so tough for you! I would never think you're a monster!"
In an instance, (Y/N) reciprocated the hug, wrapping his arms tightly around Nico's torso. And they cried in each other's embrace until Nico slowly pulled them both up, letting go was not an option though, as he grips the males hands in his own, "You're so amazing...", another smile broke through his teary face, slowly coming down, "After all that's happened to you, you're still so full of joy...I didn't know your story until now, but...I knew you had it hard either way. And how you're still able to shine is what I like so much about you."
The way the green-haired blushed as he went on, made (Y/N)'s heart skip beat after beat. It's too much, but not in a bad way, for once. It's too much, but- "I really want to be with you, so...knowing you trust me so much to tell me that makes me really happy!"
"I...I like you too...", a whisper, a shaky whisper, clearly overwhelmed, but it was okay.
Nico let out a hearty laugh, tackling down (Y/N) once again. They're laughter was just music to each other's ears. And they could feel each other's hearts just banging inside their chests.
"THERE YOU ARE #25 AND #(N)!!"
"Save yourselves!"
They're in trouble, but they're okay.

13 and the Coriolis crew? :D
13. My hobby is getting into the Wildest Possible Arguments in public and I will drag you into it because it gets you every time. No really if you drank half of a five hour energy would you get shitty energy for five hours or 2.5 hours of energy. I need to know this right now while the previews are playing at the movie theater, why would I wait? No seriously if I bought the Mona Lisa should I be allowed to eat it
So this ended up not being exactly as intense as I wanted to make it (I wanted them to stand on the tables at Fantasea Denny's and get kicked out for doing so) but then I started writing and the conversation had other ideas. It's surprisingly wholesome? I'll try giving chaotic another crack some other time (especially since the first few lines are a real good setup for shenanigans >:D)
---
Zoox was tired. Tired of waiting in line, tired of getting kicked out of said line for "reckless behavior," and tired of Amber and Devo's bullshit.
That being said, he found himself getting caught up in their bullshit more than he cared to admit.
"No, no, no- if Zoox wore pants," Amber starts, earning a look of exasperation from Devo, sitting across the table from her. "Would he wear them on his Brinarr legs, or on the lil' branches of coral?"
Zoox doesn't dignify this with a response, instead opting to slice off a bit of his pancake with his fork and bring it up to his face hole. Fantasea Denny's wasn't exactly the best nutrition for a Brinarr, but he liked the syrup a little too much to protest Devo's restaurant choice.
"But Zoox es right there! And he already es wearing pants!" Devo points out, gesturing grandly to his right, where Zoox is sat taking up most of the booth. Zoox just takes another bite. Well, he tries to. He still doesn't have the whole eating thing down.
"Well duh," Amber replies, rolling her eyes. "But those are like... standard Brinarr armor. What if he wanted to wear jeans, or cargo shorts?"
Zoox nods. "I guess I never have worn jeans... or.. cargo shorts... before... Would they even fit me?" "No, no nooo Zoox, Zoox Zoox Zoox..." Devo shakes his head and sets down his fork. "If you're going to wear human clothes, don't start with those crimes against fashion! Besides, your suit is already perfectly wonderful azit is!"
Zoox is too distracted as he considers his suit, thanking Devo for the compliment, to notice how quiet Amber is being.
Suddenly, he hears a THWAP as she brings both her utensils down hard on the tabletop. He quickly switches his focus away from Devo and instead to the angry woman sitting across from them.
"...Ambaer?" Devo prompts.
"Don't you ever," Amber starts quietly, slowly growing louder by the word. "And I mean ever, disrespect cargo shorts like that again."
Devo's expression fills with confusion. "What's the big deal with cargo shorts? Zey are just shorts with pockets, no?"
Amber shakes her head. "You don't know the half of it. Those pockets will save your life, guppy, when you least expect it. A proper adventurer has gotta always be prepared."
A silence fell between them as they returned to their respective meals. Then Zoox made a sound like he was clearing his throat (he wasn't) and picked the conversation back up.
"So, uh, I'm just curious, but- why were we talkin' about my pants again?"
"I was just wonderin', why it is you always have to do things at our level instead of your own? Like, you're made out of coral. They're all different entities, I mean, don't you, like... have certain corals that get colder than others?"
Zoox considered it for a minute. "Well, they way I see it... Hmm. You're made out of cells right?" Amber nods.
Devo turns his head up to look the Brinarr in the eye..holes. "Sorry? Cells? Like a prison?"
Amber's jaw drops. "Oh sweet summer child, what have they been teachin' ya in that church?"
He broke out into an abrupt grin and began to laugh. "I knew I could get you guys with zhat."
"Naw, Devo, c'mon, you derailed the science lesson with Zoox--"
"You guys don't seriously think Brother Seldom let me out into Founder's Wake without at least a middle school knowledge of zhe world, did you?" He said between laughs, catching his companions up in it too.
As the laughter died down, and Amber and Devo prodded for Zoox to continue on, he thought, they might all like each other more than they acted.

I still can't get over Commander Putnam's last moments. I've watched the episode three times and the moments before and after he was shot continues to be a lot.
Imagine being a handmaid and seeing a commander that was shot in the head and hung on the way... Imagine being a rape survivor and seeing a rapist shot in the head and hung on the wall... Its only happened once before on the show, but how they handle rapists is easily my favorite part.
Anyway, there's no way his wife will be able to keep the baby. Ester wasn't their handmaid anymore, so the baby isn't their property. Plus, there's no way she can be a single mother, let alone a single mother to two children.
I get the feeling if all of this continues Aunt Lydia will be leading or inspiring a mass break out.
I have have thoughts on Nick and his new wife... I can't remember her name just yet, but her concerns were valid. Nick is a horrible man that has done many many horrible things. He is part of the reason Gilead exists. Sometimes I forget he's a leader and I continue to think of him as a driver even though its clear he was never *just* a driver.
I think his wife is on the right track... a lot, if not nearly all, of his behaviors bring a lot of questions to what kind of person he is. However, I think in this particular moment she's caught up in the emotion and gossip of it all? We might not all agree with killing rapists, especially those that rape children (Ester is around 13-15), but I don't think this is the act that makes him a bad person. I think he did what needed to be done. I'm sure if Ester's family was still around and this was... a "normal" situation rather than Gilead they would be thanking Nick... you know, right before he would be taken to prison for the rest of his life, but nonetheless.. it had to be done. Nick knows that. It makes me sad his wife doesn't, but again... there are so many bad bad bad things about Nick... she might be off this time, but she's onto something.

Hajime & Kazue with Tsubaki headcanons
They're a little family. Mostly Hajime panicking.
Tumblr media
When I say Hajime panicked, he p a n i c k e d.
The essentials were already squared away, they already had a plan but Hajime was not calm at all.
Kazue, who's water broke at work, was actually surprisingly calm. Having to do her breathing techniques with him.
"I'm the one pushing out a baby and you're freaking out?!"
"What if I'm not a good father? What if I drop her?"
He refused to hold Tsubaki when he first looked at her. Hajime was a strong man, intimidating and scary. What if he scared her?
Tsubaki became a daddy's girl ever since.
She wasn't like the typical baby, whenever her mom held her she still cried, but only stopped once her dad held her.
Hitoshi had to sit in the same room incase Hajime dropped her.
He never did.
Once Kazue and Hajime went back to worth Kazue would carry Tsubaki in a little baby sling, the inmates all adored her and were on there best behavior's while she was around.
Cell 13 didn't jailbreak once while Kazue and Tsubaki were in building 13, they even asked Seitarou if he could escort them to see the two.
Nico was the first to get to hold her, he babbled about anime and how he would teach her to play video games when she's older.
Jyuugo was next, despite being nervous, and spoke to her about Hajime and Kazue being good parents. That she'll grow up to be a kind, selfless person.
She pulled on Uno's hair, he did not get to hold her.
Rock fell asleep in a chair with her lying in his arms. Hajime would have yelled at them but they looked so peaceful.
Once she's a teenager Tsubaki will intern with Mitsuru and periodically surprise her parents when she shows up.
"How did you get here?!"
"I intern with uncle Mitsuru."
"You... What?!"
Hajime was the least bit pleased because the prison was dangerous, but Mitsuru reassured him that Tsubaki only ever worked the cameras.
She calls the inmates of cell 13 her uncles much to Hajime's dismay
Uno is the only one who gets cocky with the title.
Tsubaki still pulls his hair.
Kazue let's Tsubaki date as long as she and Hajime get to meet the person she goes on a date with, Hajime usually chases them off.
Hitoshi teaches her how to do her makeup and even makes a few dresses for her.
Tsubaki relieved her father of a heart attack when she told him she liked girls.
Hajime doesn't know how to comfort people well, so he's nervous when he tries to comfort Tsubaki after she's gotten her heartbroken.
All he did was give her a hug and she felt better.
They went out for ice cream.
"It may feel like the end but you're just beginning."
"There's going to be more?"
"Yes, but they'll teach you things about yourself."
"I don't wanna be taught things. I want to feel happy."
Coincidentally Hajime will strike fear into whoever breaks his daughter's heart.

If this isn't smth ur comfortable answering, then please ignore it. I just don't know what to do.
basically, I started this new job a few months ago and things have been great, I get paid $14/hr and so for me being 15, that's not something I'm going to get again for a while.
the downside: one of my coworkers, 48 male, has recently (or at least it seems recent?) started doing things. It started out as what I thought were just teasing pokes & jokes, but then he started getting more touchy, like tickling my arm and dragging his hand down to my waist.
I was like okay...didn't think too much about it since I have other things going on in my life, but then he starts telling me about this "hot date" he has, she was something in the law field and so I made a joke about how I dated someone like that, bc when I was like 13 I really did date a paralegal (bad, ik he was 32) and he went quiet.
to skip over all the other small comments and touches, he gave me his number and I made the stupid mistake of messaging him and now it's gotten worse. The touches are more often, he asks about my sex life, offers to buy me alcohol & cigarettes if I send him "pics" and I'm so scared of going to work bc I know I'll have to see him.
he hasn't done anything super serious yet, as far as I can tell. it's not like he's forced me to do anything or sa'd me, so I feel trapped and I don't know what I should do.
I just need someone to tell me it's okay, that I should tell my manager or just quit my job — but I'm scared of that too, he's served roughly 15yrs in prison for domestic violence and assault, so what if he tries coming after me bc I'm the reason he lost his job?? not to mention, he's a father of like..3 kids? the only other person that knows about this says he's grooming me and doesn't deserve empathy, but I would feel so bad if he got sent back to prison or lost his house over this, because part of me feels like I somehow tricked him into liking me.
OKOK I am so sorry for the rant you can just delete this honestly, I had to get this out or I'd explode I'm so sorry.
Anon babe it's ok, i know the feeling of just needing to express these feelings. I honestly really relate to this because I went through something similar (though the boy in question wasn't as horrible to me as this) when I was 15 and the boy was an 18 year old senior in my AP class. What people don't realize is that any form of serious age (and maturity) difference is a form of pressure on you. You feel inclined to reciprocate because you want to be "nice" and "kind" back. But on the inside your insides are crawling. He's obviously being disgusting to you with this behavior as a fucking 48 year old man. Your coworker is right it's grooming and pedo behavior if I'm straight with you. Please don't blame yourself too much here babe. Sure he didn't "force" you to do anything, but he did. You're thinking of force as some physical or verbal demand and struggle, when in fact there is a very real yet invisible force that appears between any power imbalance like this, even when I was 15 and the boy was 18, I could feel it, but only after it hit me like a ton of bricks did I realize how messed up it was. I'm not even sure how to explain it. You just feel trapped and like a timid animal around them. You feel on edge and like you have to appease them by not calling out their behavior or letting it happen passively as to not upset them. It's a force alright, in my opinion.
I'm not exactly sure what the best plan of action is. You should probably start by telling any parent or guardian or trusted adult around you that an older coworker is being extremely inappropriate with you and making you uncomfortable. Absolutely do not feel worried about his personal life if he does get fired, whether because of you telling your managers or another way, because that man deserves none of your sympathy. He's a pedo groomer literally asking you for personal and intimate photos and details of your life. You didn't "trick" him into anything. In my past example, I was just friendly with the boy in class. We got along and joked sometimes. I am told I "come off" as flirty to many people regardless if I'm trying to be or not, so I understand thinking it was my fault for letting this senior boy think it was okay to pressure me into uncomfortable sexual situations later on just because I was just being nice. Again, it's not your fault, it wasn't my fault, these older men should have known better and left us both alone.
If you feel comfortable telling your managers you may, but I think you could try first seeing if you can change your schedule. Maybe ask specifically to never work when he does. You don't need to go into details, but you can make it very clear you have felt uncomfortable in his company and if they don't agree to follow your schedule request then I would threaten to quit. If they don't agree to it, then I would say use your discretion on what to do next. I don't want to tell you to straight up quit a job you may really like outside of this man and that pays well, but it's up to you on how you believe your managers might handle it as well as the man. Does he know where you live? Are you able to block him on socials and make sure he doesn't have a way to locate you again? There's a lot of variable heres anon, again it's very much up to your own discretion. I would advise telling and talking this through with a trusted adult in your life who knows your situation better than me. I hope what I've said helps you even a little bit tho.

Revenge comes for all of us in the end.
Hi, I hope You're having a tremendous day!
It's been a few weeks since my first post. My excuse: there were some technical difficulties with scanning my drawing. But You aren't here to hear my excuses, but instead to hear his story.
If You are interested in what I've been up to, I'll be happy to share that I'm working on some stuff. As always, the struggle of getting together for an rpg session is frustrating, and no one I know would be willing to make a D&D session anyway, so these characters aren't going anywhere for the time being. In the meantime, I'm trying not to get kicked out of college, and writing a book for NaNoWriMo, although my pace is way to slow to actually complete it within the time frame, so my progress on that is quite slow.
Today, the hero (?) up for debate is Kaller, a Reborn Barbarian/Fighter using the Unarmed Fighting Style, based on the great piece REVIVED by Derivakat. As a preface, let me tell You my stance on the whole SMP thing (bcs the song is about it). I don't really care for it. I'm not a fan, but like with most things, I don't dislike it. I only discovered that the song is based on it when I went to genius.com to check the lyrics five minutes ago, and it certainly doesn't change the fact that the song is an absolute banger.
Backstory
Upon meeting Kaller, most people would fall into one of two groups. Either they feared the savage being before them, kind of like a lone wanderer sneaking around to avoid the attention of a wolf they saw, or they called out his barbaric behavior and lack of manners. While he would ignore the majority of both, on some occasions, the latter ones would use the common phrase "Go to hell". These people are now having trouble speaking any words at all.
The first thing he remembers is a cell. Chains wrapped coldly around his arms and legs, the unbearable heat filling the air and forcing itself into his lungs, the laughter of imps. He didn't know who he was, or what did he do to deserve this. He knew only two things: his name is Kaller, and he has died. These, along with the demons torturing him daily, were the only certain elements of his life.
This lasted 13 and a half years, but each of those days felt the same to him. It all blurred together. Sometimes, they would drag him out of the cell and have him fight, either other humanoids or hellish beasts. That's how he found out another thing about himself: he must've been a demonslayer of some sort when he was alive, because he was able to manifest holy energy around his fists.
Finally, after all that time, an expedition came. On his last day in hell, he rejoiced when he heard the imps screaming in terror, running in fear, and dying in agony. Someone came. A group of paladins, to be precise. They went there as part of a confidential mission by their church, and were just as surprised as him to find that he was the only prisoner. Strange.
They escorted Kaller up to the material plane, and the team captain, Boxxon, said that there were high chances of him hearing from his saviours again. They left him a bit of money and were off to report their findings.
As Kaller tried to integrate with normal people, there was a little voice in his head, whispering to him what's right and what isn't. It turns out, most of what was happening was not right. The rich lords extorting the innocent was not. The constant conspiring and thieves were not. He wanted to live a peaceful life, but he felt like vomiting each time he witnessed an unhonourable act. And he spoke out against it, causing his enemies to multiply.
But it wasn't all bad. There were some that stood by him, and reminded him of the templars that rescued him from hell. When he met such people, it always involved a fight and the beginning of an unbreakable friendship.
Kaller always had a gut feeling that wherever he went, misfortune struck. Even with his standoffish attitude, there shouldn't have been so many attempts to take his life. Soon, the demons started coming, and it finally clicked into place. They wanted to cage him again. And he wanted to find out why.
Mechanics
Kaller is a Reborn simply for flavor, and this is one of those times were the most defining parts of him will be his subclasses. I'd personally go with a mix of Battlemaster and Zealot, picking up the Tavern Brawler feat along the way (if your DM agrees to change it into the BG3 version, even better). Of course, we're taking the Unarmed Fighting FS at level 2, and we're sort of pretending to be a STR-based monk. The BM maneouvres are our special moves - bonus points if you only use them while wielding an improvised weapon.
For stats, I'd go with 15(17) STR, 13(14) DEX, 14 CON, 8 INT, 12 WIS, 10 CHA. We need to invest in STR if we want to be a useful fighter, but You may opt to forsake DEX and just sport a full plate, which is fine, but I just think that the Unarmored Defense barbarians get is way to underused, and this is the perfect character to use it on. Similarly, depending on Your interpretation of the character, You may switch INT and CHA around, but I reckon Kaller is more uneducated (on the account of being resurrected) than rude. I wouldn't dump WIS though, he's more perceptive than Your average Joe.
As a character
Possible plot hooks for the DM:
Sir Boxxon arrives with the letter from his church, asking for help with an urgent matter
A devil appears, proposing a deal: You do something for me, I'll tell you about your past life
The voice in your head grows louder, and wants you to go to your... family? Are they still alive?
An unjust lord has set a bounty on your head to prevent you from coming to his land. What a weird invitation
You're having weird dreams about your prison, and an ominous feeling, enticing you to go back to the place it all began
As an NPC
Possible quests to give:
There is an execution in the town the party's staying at. Kaller, chained up and dragged to the executioner, shouts insults at the crowd and their silence, while calling out the lord for his deeds.
When the party's in a tavern, a brawl starts up. All of the participants seem to have a problem with taking one guy, who's fighting with just a beer mug.
A person has gone on a rampage in a nearby village, screaming about how everyone is a devil and killing civilians. Contain the madman, or stop him for good?
Loot:
Simplicity has a nice charm to it, so I'd give him Bracers of Defense and maybe brass knuckles with a mini-smite attached to them?
The song relevance (imho)
Like I said at the beginning, I had no idea that this song was already telling a character's story. This means that my story is based on another story, which makes all of it kind of like a polaroid picture of a polaroid picture, but the picture of the picture is very distorted and You don't even see a picture in that picture.
REVIVED is much more upbeat than our previous entry. It's aggressive, confident, even arrogant at times, pointing to a character with a lot of "I'm always right" moments in their life. Another thing that it brings to mind is the topic of resurrections, and how they redefine You. This is purely hypothetical if we're talking actual resurrections here, but becomes much more practical when we define resurrection as a change of paradigm, like in the phrase "They're like a whole new person".
I'm pretty sure that everyone has at least one such moment, where you draw the line between the old you (who is now effectively dead) amd the new you, who, despite being the same person, is another person. The ship of Theseus and all that.
Alright, getting a bit off-topic, and, what's worse, philosophical. Ugh.
Like always, feel free to use this in your games!
May Your calendar align with your friends'!

NAME: Henry Fitzwilliam Charming AGE: 37 OCCUPATION: Front desk at Olympus Gym CURRENT LOCATION: If they live in Swynlake or moved somewhere else and are just coming back to visit. RELATIONSHIP STATUS (IF APPLICABLE): Married to Rose Whitman <;3 CHILDREN (IF APPLICABLE): Erica James Charming (Age 13) BIOGRAPHY:
After two years of good behavior and passing information to investigators, Henry Charming was released from prison. He knew he would have few friends waiting for him, but his sister welcomed him with open arms— and revealed he was soon to be an uncle.
Henry was grateful, but part of him yearned to return to Swynlake, despite all the tragic memories that place held. Most of all, he wanted to see Rose. And when he did, everything made sense again.
Of course, they wanted to be sure this was a good idea, because it was very possible it wasn't. They planned to take things slow at first, and even went to counseling together, but in the end, they only really wanted to be with each other. It didn't take much longer for Henry to propose, and they were married in a quiet ceremony in Swynlake.
Fourteen years later, life is... better. Henry works at Olympus Gym and aspires to be an instructor one day, now that CrossFit has transformed his life and given him something to devote himself to in wake of the Order's fall. And there is something even more precious, or rather someone, he is devoted to as well: his daughter, Erica.
Henry isn't sure he really deserves this mostly-happy ending, but he doesn't take it for granted. Not for a single day. And that's exactly what he tells his imaginary class when he rehearses in front of the mirror.

//l unlocked Azriel finally! So enjoyyyy//
He wanted to have this conversation now? Now when Hybern was at their doorstep? Fine. Fine it was better than watching Anastasiya and him trying to melt into one fucking person. Didn't they have any sense of propriety or self awareness?
"You know what changed Aleksander? You weren't meant to be the one in the spotlight. You were always in the shadows - always a step
behind me. Whispering about Rhysand or Ma or something - and then suddenly you're some fucking war hero?!"
He step closer, the shadows moving faster. Wilder.
"And sure I'm male enough to admit your little saga infuriated me. Why? Why did you deserve a love story like that? What is so damn special about the both of you that even 500 years later people give a shit? She was fun to fuck with Aleksander - but she is nowhere near Helene or Mor or any of them."
He couldn't stop, he doubted this would end well. But then he'd killed their mother already hadn't he? Maybe he'd kill him too and he could was his hands of all of this.
"You never liked Rhysand or Cassian. You never tried to get to know them. You were happy to run off, dissapear while I had to watch the damn fallout every night. Ma cared, you just broke her too many times for her to tell you."
He was panting now as if he'd flown miles, as if he'd already gone into battle. He flexed his hands looked out over the calm dawn skies.
"I'll admit Helene always chose me, always waited for me. But what was so special Anastasiya looked at you as if you hung the damn sun and moon? What because you encouraged her when no one else did? That earned her undying loyalty and awe? That earned her undying loyalty and awe? All that work you put in. All those times I heard you encourage her and remind her she'd be find if you didn't come back - she shattered Aleksander. It wasn't like after Jurian, it - it was far worse so we did what we could. You never gave a damn about my boy. He came home to me 13 years ago suffering and broken and you never once gave a damn or care."
He was shaking with the rage of it. Orion had been naive and idealistic yes. But he and Shahar had been right. The witches, specifically Aleksander's Grisha and the Vaalbaran aristocracy took too many fae amplifiers. Children had been hunted and trafficked back then.
Yes it was futile, yes it may have always been doomed to fail but -
"Rigelus prisons were in Vaalbara did you even visit him? Did you ever even petition for leniency for Orion?!"
Azriel snapped his eyes to the where the tents were. His body going rigid.
"Did we wake you Sarai?"
Why was she even here now? After so long leaving her sons alone? Why couldn't she have stayed out like she'd been told to??
She was never one to question her son’s actions, it was rare she intervened. She believed they all have every right to make their own choices, yet when she started seeing those choices harming them she was not one to shy away. Rhysand’s friendship with this male was a possible stain she was concerned about, swayed from a bath that was not right.
Every word that had seeped into her tent had provoked her, raising from the chair she moved out of her tent. Violet eyes shone with darkness as she stared upon the boy, she saw his brother acknowledge her way before he did. Even if Aleksander had some questionable behaviors, he was also a male who had goodness in him.
Sarai’s eyes narrowed as she heard his question, she stepped forwards, her night robe tied around her as she approached. “Your brother does not need to answer the question she posed so elegantly: why do people care for him? That was what you were asking, that was what you were wanting to know.” She stopped short of the two, her arms folded as she looked between them. “You answered your own question very well Azriel, you just don’t listen to yourself or anyone else around you. You are fueled by your ego, your desire to act instead of using what you were born with – your mind.”
How was it she was seeing once more the same actions being taken by males in her past once more in the present? How they had all begun to feel they were owed their mates, that they did not need to understand her. “Do you think females are fun to play with? Do you think they are things to fuck and enjoy? They must serve your every whim and bow so eagerly down to you. You are like so many other males in this world, that once they have what they want, or their mate does not align with them, they are eager to turn their back on them.”
This was a side to her she rarely let anyone see, rarely did she show the cruder side of her language skills and the knowledge of the darker side of things. “So many females are broken when the male they love with their entire heart shows the reality of who he really is, a male who would rather hurt her than give up the life he has. He does not want to see her reaching for him, or how she struggles. She’ll change herself; she’ll wear the pretty smile and blend in with his world, family, and friends. I have seen males falsely say they understand, yet when their mate needs them, they are eager to say she is overreacting, emotional, selfish.”
A sigh came from her as she looked towards Aleksander, a small smile appeared briefly before it disappeared. “Your brother has done what very few who, he listened to his mate. He listened and understood what she needed; he held her up while also helping her learn how to walk. For her, that sign that he listened to her struggles and didn’t condemn her didn’t isolate her, make it about how she is in the wrong all the time…It meant much more than the falseness you show.”

So, question, because I see people saying it often that Iroh has the right to feel animosity towards Azula because she made fun of/derided Lu Ten's death (or something like that), but does she actually do that in that scene? Or does she express disdain for Iroh's reaction, which considering the culture could easily be interpreted as Iroh being the one to make light of it? (Pretty sure there's at least one instance in _Romance of the Three Kingdoms_ where one character absolutely annihilates an opposing force because his brother/father/friend dies, if we want a real-world example of the mentality. Or, like, all of _The Hagakure_.)
Does Azula call Lu Ten a coward for dying? Or does she say that Iroh is for not "getting justice" or revenge for his son's death? For not finishing the task and abandoning the cause Lu Ten died for?
Because one of these means Iroh's dislike could be justified (nevermind the fact that he wasn't present for this conversation, so if he knew about it, he would have only heard about it from Zuko). But the other is an angry/disappointed/disgusted child calling an adult out.
Good question! I think I should start by talking about what Zuko and Azula actually say about Iroh.
"The Western Air Temple"(featuring 13 year old Zuko!):
Iroh: (Iroh looks on, concerned) Prince Zuko, it's only been a week since your banishment. (Cut to a far back view shot of the 2) You should take some time to heal and rest. Zuko: (turns around and raises his voice) What else would I expect to hear from the laziest man in the Fire Nation? (Cut to a close up of Iroh's slightly appalled face as he looks down and sighs) The only way (Cut back to a frontal shot of uncle and nephew) to regain my honor is to find the Avatar. So I will.
"The Headband":
Zuko: (standing at the bars) You brought this on yourself, you know. We could have returned together. You could have been a hero! (Iroh turns a shade further away from Zuko.) You have no right to judge me Uncle. I did what I had to do in Ba Sing Se, and you're a fool for not joining me. (Iroh is silent.) You're not gonna say anything? (Enraged, he kicks a stool and bends a blast of fire at the wall.) Argh! You're a crazy old man! You're crazy, and if you weren't in jail, you'd be sleeping in a gutter!
Zuko says some pretty negative things about Iroh, right to Iroh's face!
Now, what negative things does 14 year old Azula say about Iroh? Surprisingly little, even though she clearly doesn't like him. She implicitly calls him a traitor a couple times(during times when he is, in fact, a traitor by all reasonable definitions), but never really explicitly does so. Beyond that, there's very little. This is the only thing I can think of:
Azula: So...I hear you've been to visit your Uncle Fatso in the prison tower. Zuko: (standing, incensed) That guard told you.
Which is actually way less harsh than what Zuko says about Iroh! If anything, Azula's behavior in the present suggests that she only rarely criticized, much less mocked Iroh's behavior to his face when she was younger.
Now let's turn to the meat of your question, "Zuko Alone." There are two scenes in that episode where Azula criticizes Iroh. The first comes before Lu Ten's death:
Ursa: "And for Azula, a new friend. She wears the latest fashion for Earth Kingdom girls." (As Ursa speaks, Azula picks up a doll wearing Earth Kingdom green. The Princess makes a face of disgust.) Azula: If Uncle doesn't make it back from war, then dad would be next in line to be Fire Lord, wouldn't he? (In the background, Zuko runs around practicing with his new dagger.) Ursa: (disappointed) Azula, we don't speak that way. It would be awful if Uncle Iroh didn't return. And besides, Fire Lord Azulon is a picture of health. Zuko: How would you like it if cousin Lu Ten wanted dad to die? Azula: I still think our dad would make a much better Fire Lord than (looking at the doll with disdain) his royal tea loving kookiness. (She holds out the doll and makes its head burst into flame. The screen flashes white and the flashback ends.
There are several things which seem to be driving Azula's actions here. The first is a reaction to the massive favoritism Iroh just showed toward Zuko. The second is a belief, no doubt inspired by Ozai's poisonous statements about his brother, that Ozai, who Azula idolizes, would make a better Firelord than Iroh. Finally, Azula is a confused child who is asking inappropriate questions because she's too young to understand proper boundaries. Nothing she says here is actually that serious, and I would expect a responsible adult(i.e. not Ursa) to either shrug it off, or to carefully reason with Azula in order to explain why what she is saying is problematic.
Now we turn to the other main scene, the one right after Lu Ten's death, and the one you probably actually wanted me to talk about:
Azula: (getting up and walking over to him) By the way, Uncle's coming home. Zuko: Does that mean we won the war? Azula: No. It mean's Uncle's a quitter and a loser. Zuko: What are you talking about? Uncle's not a quitter. Azula: Oh yes, he is. He found out his son died and he just fell apart. (leaning against a nearby pillar) A real general would stay and burn Ba Sing Se to the ground, not lose the battle and come home crying. Zuko: (angry) How do you know what he should do? (looking down, sadly) He's probably just sad his only kid is gone... forever.
You might note that, again, Azula doesn't say anything negative about Lu Ten. You've already noted that Iroh is thousands of miles away at the moment, so having him be "justified" in his hatred of Azula by a conversation he didn't hear doesn't make sense.
Azula is also very angry in this scene, quite possibly the angriest we ever see her at any point. That does suggest that she's taking what's happened, either Lu Ten's death or the abandonment of the siege, very personally. I don't know enough to comment specifically on this, but you are right in that there might be cultural background which specifically proscribes the achievement of vengeance as being of particular importance, and Azula is thus outraged that Iroh failed to fulfill his duty to his son.
But that not at the core of Azula's critique here. What Azula is attacking Iroh for is that he responded to a personal loss by abandoning his duty in the heat of battle, and she is 100% right on this, not only by the standards of Fire Nation cultural but also by the standards of modern western culture. Fun fact: Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, and Robert E. Lee(screw the latter two, but that's another story) all suffered the loss of children they dearly loved in the middle of the American Civil War, yet none of them abandoned their duty. Archibald Roosevelt(another problematic figure) had two brothers die in WWII, yet he continued fighting on the front line. John W. Geary literally had his son die in his arms in the middle of battle, yet he continued commanding his unit well enough to prevail. Hell, we can even turn to Joseph Stalin here, to some extent.
Again, the core of what Azula says here is absolutely correct. Iroh is a "quitter" because he responded to Lu Ten's death by falling apart and abandoning the siege when it seemed on the brink of success, rather than continue the operation until victory. I don't think we need to go further than that to establish that Azula is entirely justified calling Iroh out here. And again, she doesn't criticize or mock Lu Ten at all, instead only attacking Iroh's reaction to Lu Ten's death.

On October 6th, 2021 my sister shot herself and I feel like I've been picking up the pieces ever since. She's alive, thank goodness because I couldn't do that shit again, but this has come with a whole new set of problems. She's had 3 surgeries just to save her life and will probably face a plethora of health conditions in the future due to losing organs and pieces of organs in the process. I've spent a huge chunk of my time by her hospital bed even when she's been yelling at me, which hopefully was just the pain and the meds. To say I'm exhausted would be an understatement. I've had chronic fatigue since I was 13 so I know what being tired feels like and this is something else. I am exhausted to my core. I can feel myself breaking down mentally and physically. Everyday I wake up and just keep dealing with all of this, I am honestly shocked. My other family wants nothing to do with it so the full responsibility is shouldered by my husband and I, on top of working full time jobs and trying to do things we need to for our own lives in the process. So its just me watching her in pain while she makes hushed comments about how she wishes it would have worked and just knowing that she'd be totally okay putting us through that again. But then again, I know the feeling. If my medication didn't make me so numb I'd be 6 feet in the ground myself. People are great at telling you to put yourself first without understanding that I don't have that as an option. I lost that choice when I was 2 weeks shy of not talking to my brother when he died because I tried to distance myself from his toxic behaviors. Everyone comes before me because I literally have PTSD from my brother's suicide that I'm terrified that if I distance myself from people so that I can heal, they'll die and I'll have to live with the fact that I wasn't there for them. And everyone offers their "help" if I ever need anything but I think they do so for appearances because they know realistically there's nothing they can take off my plate. And the best part is those meds that are keeping me from following suit are also blocking me from expressing any real emotions so I just feel like I'm going to cry at all times. Just drowning in my own thoughts and tears that have no escape. My brain feels like a fucking prison and I have a life sentence. I don't know what I did to deserve all this but I just want some peace 😔

For the first time Chris dreaded seeing Lily st lunch. He didn't want to tell her what had happened to Lucy after the attempted run away, but he knew she would have questions. He almost went to hide in his office for the period but knew he couldn't disappoint the little girl especially since she was going through so much. He sucked it up and made his way through the line then to the table.
"Hi Lily" Chris said as he sat down
"Hi." Lily said quietly
"Are you okay?"
Chris tilted his head. Lily seemed off, sad. Even during the time she lived with her father Lily was always happy, smiling, and oblivious to anything bad going on.
Lily just shrugged and took a bite of the quinoa and avocado bowl her foster mother packed for her lunch. She wrinkled her nose but ate anyway.
"If something is bothering you maybe I can help?"
"Everyone hates me. The kids in my class said my daddy left me because he didn't love me and my new mommy and daddy won't love me either. No one will."
"Lily that's no-"
"They're wrong though." Lily interrupted Chris, looking up at him "Lucy loves me."
"Lucy loves you very much."
"I wish she hadn't got caught. Is she in jail? Can she come see me?"
"I...uhm...erm.." Chris didn't know what to say "She's...safe right now. Everything is getting sorted out and it just takes some time but I hope the two of you will be together soon.".
"I hope so too."
"Lily, lots of people love you. Your foster parents love you very much, look at your adorable top and all the yummy food that your foster mom packs for you. Your teachers love you, I love you."
"You do?" Lily's eyes widened
"Mhm" Chris smiled softly
"I wish you could be my dad." Lily muttered as she looked at her avocado
The two continued to talk through lunch and by the time the bell rang, Lily was giggling again.
"Hey Chris?" Lily turned around as she was walking toward her class line "If you see Lucy can you tell her I miss her?"
"I will" Chris promised
He knew the girls were having a hard time with the change of life they were experiencing and his heart hurt for them but until the judge reviewed his case there wasn't anything he could do except continue to see Lily at school every day and reassure her that things were going to be okay.
The next day he left work a little early to visit Lucy at the detention center for visitation day.  He checked in at the front, received the pat down and had his weapon confiscated, then was escorted to the day room where families were already gathering to visit their wayward children.  He sat down at a table that had a few board games and a deck of cards on it and waited for Lucy.
"Griffin. You got a visitor." A guard yelled from the front of the bunk room.
Lucy was one of the few girls forced to stay out of the day room during visiting hours which made them feel even more like prisoners. Lucy had already assumed she wouldn't have anyone come see her so she was laying in her bed staring at the ceiling.
"Griffin let's go."
Lucy sighed and climbed down from the bed.
"Who is it?" She asked curiously as she followed the guard out of the door, the heavy bars sliding closed as they exited
"A man, your dad?" The guard glanced over
"Don't have a dad." Lucy grumbled "And if I did he wouldn't come."
The guard frowned. Most of the girls in here didn't have one or both parents in their lives and it was hard on them when someone talked about theirs. Lucy entered the day room and rolled her eyes when she saw Chris. The two looked at each other for a moment before the guard nudged Lucy.
"Go on."
Lucy sat across from Chris, looking away from him. He studied her for a moment before finally speaking.
"You doing ok, Luce?"
"I'm great Chris. This five star resort is just the vacation I needed to get away from all of life's stresses."
He sighed. Lucy was still angry at him.
"Why are you even here?"
"Well, I thought you'd like some company, see if you need anything."
Lucy looked up at him with narrowed eyes.
"Why am I the one you picked to be your charity case, Chris?" She asked bitterly "Out of all the kids you know you chose my life to fuck up."
"You're not a charity case, Lucy. I genuinely care about you and your sister. Why is that so hard to believe?"
"Because no one else has ever cared about us."
Chris looked down. He couldn't imagine the years Lucy spent under the abuse of her father and being ignored by teachers or neighbors. If people had more balls to report situations like hers she could have gotten out a long time ago.
"My whole life it's just been me and Lily, and you come along wanting to 'help' and just mess it up. We were fine without you."
"No you weren't."
"We were." Lucy argued
Chris bit his tongue and decided not to push her further. He could tell by the way she was slowly rocking, picking at her nails, that she was agitated. An outburst would mean trouble for her. He decided to change the subject.
"You want to play a game?" He asked
"No."
"Come on" Chris picked up the deck of cards and unwrapped the rubber band "Can you shuffle?"
"Of course I can shuffle." Lucy snapped, grabbing the cards from his hand and began to shuffle them
"Know any card games?"
"Poker."
Chris raised his eyebrow.
"What?" Lucy shrugged as she began to deal the cards "Old man's friends would come over, they'd play. I watched and learned. Mostly because I had to."
"Why'd you have to watch?"
Lucy placed the remaining cards down and stared deep into Chris' eyes.
"Usually I was the bet."
She laughed dryly when he became noticeably uncomfortable.
"I'm figuring that's not the case here though. Do me a favor, go get a pack of gum and m&ms from the vending machine."
Chris did so and returned with the candy. The girls were only allowed vending snacks if their visitors purchased them and their behavior charts were green. Lucy opened both packs and divided the candy between her and Chris and began the game.
"How's Lily?" Lucy asked as they played
"She's doing okay. The family she's with is wonderful, they're doing a lot for her."
"I'm sure they're great." Lucy muttered
"She misses you."
"Just play the game."
Chris could tell that Lucy was getting emotional by the crack in her voice. He stopped talking and played until she beat him, smugly taking all of the candy and shoving it in the pocket of her pants.
"You're good."
"Well..when I got old enough the old man would let me play. If I won he'd buy food. Had to get good quick."
"Seriously?" Chris thought to himself, wishing he could find Lucy's father just to kill him.
Visiting hours were almost over and other families were beginning to leave but Chris stayed until the final minute.
"Lucy, listen. I know things are hard right now and it seems like it's not going to get better but I'm trying. Things just take a little time. Everything is going to be okay, kiddo."
Lucy looked away from Chris and crossed her arms over herself.
"I'll see you Sunday okay?"
Lucy just shrugged.

I'm a little late to the party but for the ask meme: Danny Phantom 5, 13, 14, 18, 20 + Trans!Danny headcanons. I know that wasn't on the list but I have a feeling you'll do it for me anyway ;)
MY NEWEST BOY.  For this ask meme!  Also thisgot long so I made a separate post about trans Danny because I care about it alot byeeeeee.
5)  Guilty pleasures
Barring times where he’s being, A, imprisoned, or, B, hunted forfun and profit, Danny actually—really likes the Ghost Zone.  It’s soothing in a way that he’s pretty sureis not quite right, in a way that Sam and Tucker and Jazz do not seem toagree with, but he likes it there.  Theslow, billowing curls of green drift through the air like nebulae, currents of energyrather than wind that he could drift on like thick water if he wanted, dottedwith doors and islands that orbit whatever passes for gravity wells in a skyscapeof ectoplasm.  Almost every touchstone inthe Ghost Zone moves, although most have a predictable pattern—about once everyten months, Danny tries not to use the Fenton portal if he can avoid it, onaccount of how it comes out practically on top of Walker’s prison—and learningthe rhythms of it is sort of like a hobby, at this point.  Danny doesn’t have a ton of time to kill, buthe’s figured out that, as long as he’s in ghost form, he can go for a longtime without feeling hungry or thirsty or tired, in the Ghost Zone, so onetime he told Jazz he was going to try his hand at cartography and spent theentirety of his parents’ five day out-of-state conference coasting on ectoplasmand trying to plot the place.  It cameout looking kind of like a star map, full of arrows trying to indicate movementdirection and a lot of scribbled notes like Pretty sure Clockwork moved thisand AVOID and Possibly Vlad’s portal, maybe close this.
Danny doesn’t talk about it much, because the Ghost Zone makes hisfriends, his family, jittery.  He’s prettysure they’re worried he’ll decide not to come back some day.
13) What gets them flustered
One time a reporter manages to get a camera intoDanny’s face before he can book it after a fight, and she’s smart enough toalready be asking her first question before he realizes what was happening.
She’s also smart enough to start her first questionwith “Excuse me, Inviso-bill–”
“It’s Phantom,” he snaps, looking around in annoyance, and the reporter smothers a triumphant smirk.
“Yes, Phantom.  What made you become a hero,Phantom?”
Phantom just hangs there in the air for a moment, gapingat her, and then squeaks, “Excuse me?”
“You’re a ghost,” the reporter says, keeping aprofessionally straight face and a neutral, friendly tone.  “Whatmade you decide to be a hero?”
“I–didn’t?”  Phantom scratches a hand backthrough his hair, and the reporter silently thanks whatever quirk of ghostlyfunction is bringing a green glow like a blush to his cheeks and throat andears.  She’s going to lock down a raise with this interview, even if heflies off right this second–the first person to interview Amity Park’s ownsuperhero.  And he’s blushing.  “I’mjust keeping things under control, you know?”
The reporter grins.  “Well,” she says withfalse nonchalance, “would you mind answering a few questions?”
“Uh,” Phantom says.  “I have to–go.”
He turns invisible and makes a break for it,and the reporter’s fifty-second clip of a conversation runs on the local newsfive times in the next seven hours.  She gets a reputation for being ableto snag the neighborhood super for a few seconds, sometimes even multipleminutes.  She discovers real quick thathe’ll blush pretty reliably the second she drops the H word.
14) Ingrained habits/forces of habit
Danny works hard to seem helpless at school.  It kind of makes him crawl the walls, but he workshard, okay?  He lets himself getpushed around, he occasionally gets punched in the face, he does his best toconceal it when a year or two of ghost hunting as a full time job starts toshow in his human form, he spends a lot of time and energy projecting a façade oflocal hopeless wallflower.  He can’thelp seeming like a delinquent, given that he’s been living the C-average lifestyleby the skin of his teeth and misses about three class periods on a good week, but at least he can seem like a delinquent who would never, ever be a candidatefor competence.  He’s protecting a secretidentity out here.  Official Team PhantomPolicy, much as everyone might hate it, is that no one intervenes with Danny’scharade.  It gives Tucker hives and Samhas a hit list of bullies, but Danny’s always quick to smile off their concernand get on with his life.  He has ahealing factor and it’s been years since Dash was actually concerning tohim except as a potential stalker, Danny can stand to bite his tongue and take it.
Aaaaaaand then when he’s sixteen, Dash punchesTucker, instead.  Over some pettynothing, something that Tucker doesn’t even remember afterward—refusing to makea fake ID for him?  Laughing at Dash forfumbling a catch at the game on Saturday? Joking about how Dash’s grades were even worse than Danny’s?  It could’ve been anything.  It didn’t really even register with Tucker assomething worth getting punched over, whatever it was, but he guesses thatbullies can have bad days too.
So Tucker says whatever he says, and Dash whipsaround and sucker punches him, a swift hidden jab that only someone alreadywatching would see.  And then–
And then Danny dislocates Dash’s shoulder.  It’s not on purpose and it’s not subtle.  Tucker doesn’t really remember what happened—hewas a little busy gasping for air. Mostly he just remembers the crash of someone being slammed into a locker, and Danny’s voice, deep and un-Danny-like, snarling You don’t touch them, and a shout, a howl of pain and shock. By the time Tucker can stand upright, wheezing and clinging to Sam,every kid in the silent hallway is staring wide-eyed at Danny, skinny weakDanny Fenton who isn’t really so skinny and weak anymore.  Danny’s stepping back from Dash, who’sclutching at a shoulder that looks wrong under his letterman jacket, andDanny looks mildly horrified with himself, but he’s still standing betweenTucker and Dash.
When the teachers show up, Danny goes quietly to theprincipal’s office, and gives a plain-spoken explanation of what happened—Dash punchedhis best friend, Danny slammed him into the wall, and somewhere in there hepopped Dash’s shoulder out of place.  He getssuspended for two weeks and detention for the next month, which he cooperateswith, and non-negotiable anger management counselling, which he mostly just…doesn’tattend.  Danny has decided that he doesn’tdo school counselling anymore, thanks.
After he comes back, Danny slips back into therhythm of things without any change in his behavior, but—it’s hard for everyoneto forget that they watched Dash’s favorite punching bag nearly put the king ofthe school through a wall.
Sam and Tucker enjoy a very peaceful remainder oftheir high school career.
18) Things they’ll never admit
Danny has not and will not talk to anyone about the accident withthe portal.  The actual events, yeah.  But he’s thought about it, and—they just don’tneed to know.  Sam already frettedherself blue over the Lichtenberg figure lacing up Phantom’s left arm to hisheart.  They don’t need to know how clearhis memory of being electrocuted is.
(Jazz watches Danny skirt around the Specter Deflector with abouta five foot radius of nervous respect, and she makes some educated guessesabout why, exactly, her brother doesn’t like being shocked.  But if he doesn’t want to talk about it, for once, she’s not going to wring it out of him.)
20) What Ifs/Alternate Timelines
I’m sure everyone and their cousin has done this but…I love Jazz and Danny’s relationship.
So.
Jazz has been keeping an eye on herbrother for…ever.  This is partly becauseshe’s a worrier by nature and partly because their parents are both brilliantand affectionate and completely hopelessly scatterbrained.  Jack and Maddie are fine and all, but alsoJazz is frequently awestruck that she and Danny lived long enough to be able totake care of themselves.  Holy shitis she ever going to write a memoir.  TheChristmas I Re-killed the Turkey or something.  So when their parents are out for the day andshe wanders through the living room into the kitchen to see if the Nilla Wafershave been contaminated yet, and she realizes that she hasn’t seen Danny in fourhours, she starts looking around.
Sam and Tucker’s bags are in hisbedroom, and all three of them have left their jackets by the door.  It’s a cool autumn, and Tucker complainsconstantly that he’s not built for the cold, he’s built for indoor rooms fullof computers, so they wouldn’t have gone out. The TV is off.  Danny’s room isempty.  It’s not dark enough yet forDanny to have dragged them up to the roof for stargazing.
It’s about this point where Jazzstarts to feel like something is about to go horribly wrong.
She passes the door to the lab andhears Sam’s voice echo up the stairs, and then—
“Fine, fine,” Danny says from thebasement.  “It doesn’t even work.”
Jazz opens the door, already composinga lecture about not poking around in the lab (for Danny) and a lecture aboutremembering to lock the lab when they’re going to be out all day (for herparents), and starts down the stairs.
The crack-boom of the portalkicking on hits like a thunderclap, and then there’s a scream, someonewailing like they’re being killed.
Jazz never does remember how she gotdown the rest of the stairs, but she makes it just in time to see her brotherstumble out of the glowing green portal and fall straight through Sam’s armsand collapse into a pile of black-clad limbs and shocking white hair.
#danny phantom#danny fenton#jazz fenton#sam manson#tucker foley#ask meme#headcanon meme#starlight writes stuff#i have that adhd hyperfixation thing spinning up HARDCORE about danny phantom so...stay tuned#anyway some further thoughts about that au: it doesn't change a TON in the long term#but it DOES mean that danny has an ally in a) lying to his parents and b) handling vlad right out the gate#but what i'm really specifically interested in is jazz being there when danny comes out of the portal#she obviously cares about him a lot! i strongly headcanon that the fentons are a little...benignly neglectful#not because they don't care but because they're just REALLY not actually that equipped to focus on their kids#so jazz has had a huge hand in danny growing up rather than accidentally eating ectoplasm as a three-year-old and dying#so YEAH what i care about is that girl coming downstairs just in time to see her brother's ghost/dead body/indeterminate energy construct h#i think it takes jazz a second to look around the lab and do the mental math as sam and tucker scream danny's name#and then she FREAKS OUT#so that's some chaos to deal with while she flutters over a dizzy half-conscious danny and tries to call an ambulance#i...legit don't think danny admitted to his parents that he had a bad enough lab accident to go to the hospital#in any universe#i think he hedged and said he just got a little shock and felt fine and didn't need to see a doctor and managed to get out of it#but that's a longer story#anyway yeah jazz gets on the Fuck Vlad Train much faster in this one and there's angst about her worrying about danny#also in this timeline since jazz is in on everything from the jump she starts calling vlad 'vladimir' when he won't drop their full names#a queue we will keep and our honor someday avenge#lathori#asked and answered
