What is the masked man (from your villain list) from?
He's from Mother 3!
BIG SPOILERS but it's revealed at the end of the game that he's the main protagonist's twin brother. As a villain he doesn't really have any personality (bc of brainwashing plot reasons) but in fanon he has a lot more depth lol. He's been one of my main comfort characters and favorite characters of all time for years now
He is my poor little meow meow, my beloved, my original blorbo, if you will

There's a fire in her eyes, and a city ready to burn.
Watch me accidentally draw screenshot parallels to the Cyberpunk teaser trailer that gave me brainworms for this game since before it was even out hahahaha
Finished those eyes I was talking about (after a very inconvinent power outage right in the middle) for my V and I'm super happy with them! Working on her tatt means I've been thinking about backstory and making myself sad and her choice of optics and replacing her 'ganic eyes were kind of a big lore thing so I wanted to give them a personal touch.
I was trying to ride the very fine line between obviously fake but still organic enough that they might pass as only slightly modified at first glance. Inspo for these was actually thinking back to piercing stores I’ve been in and the jewellery I like, which is usually anything with a synthetic opal in it. This took a stupid amount of passes despite eyes taking very little time for me to make, just trying to hit that exact right middle point. A lot of this is excessive blending of opal and iris textures + effects plus some hand painting.
MASSIVE credit to Kala for her Pupil Glow Ring Eyes which I used as a base for my personal edit!
Now I just gotta make sense of the unique eyes framework myself so I can make more than just overrides ... [Edit: CRACKED HOW IT WORKS HAHA! Think I'd been reading it with jello brain or something before I guess]

I don't think I've ever managed to get a screenshot that is as cinematic as the very first time I ever played sky
My brother was helping me learn the game
Flash forward a few months and
Now his name is Toby. He hates water, loves crime, and is perfectly backpack sized.

Biggest pet peeve with genderbends is when people give super long waistlength hair to a girl version of a character that canonically has hair that doesn't go past their shoulders. You think they'd have goddess hair? That bitch has a bob cut, stop being a coward and draw girls with short hair.

"You know, if you grew out your hair a bit I wouldn't mind styling it so you and I match!" *kaito has that look on his face again as he looks over yuta's hair before slowly looking down at his bro's chin!*
"Yeah... And I bet you could grow a little goatee, too! Then I could really be your big twin, haha~!!"
"O-Oh...yeah...?" For once, Yuta is not liking that expression on his face!!! Just imagining himself with Kaito's hairstyle.... he's honestly not sure how to feel about that!!! "H-Hah hah...uhh... that's nice, b-but... to be honest, I can't imagine I could pull off your hairstyle well like you do. It'd probably look super weird on m-"
Then the thought of having a goatee was something that especially did not sound too appealing to him, Yuta giving a sheepish smile while frantically waving his hands!!! "I-I think I'll pass on that!!! No way one would look good on me!"
("No, no, no!!! You can't ever get a goatee or an even stupider looking hairstyle like Himbomota's, Master! The imagery is too much for even my adorably pure heart to handle!!")
("H-Hey, what do you mean by 'stupider'?! And "pure", my butt.... A-Anyway, don't worry, Shinigami: I'll continue to look the way I always do..")
"Pl... Plus....we already have purple hair and eyes, right? S-So we're already matching, in a sense...! So you're still my big twin, Kaito!!"

Some Quick Character Tips
Here are a handful of quick tips to help you write believable characters!
1. A character’s arc doesn’t need to grow linearly. Your protagonist doesn’t have to go from being weak to strong, shy to confident, or novice to professional in one straight line. It’s more realistic if they mess up their progress on the way and even decline a bit before reaching their goal.
2. Their past affects their present. Make their backstory matter by having their past events shape them into who they are. Growing up with strict parents might lead to a sneaky character, and a bad car accident might leave them fearful of driving.
3. Give reoccurring side characters something that makes them easily recognizable. This could be a scar, a unique hairstyle, an accent, or a location they’re always found at, etc.
4. Make sure their dialogue matches their personality. To make your characters more believable in conversation, give them speech patterns. Does the shy character mumble too low for anyone to ever hear, does the nervous one pace around and make everyone else on edge?
5. Make your characters unpredictable. Real people do unexpected things all the time, and this can make life more exciting. The strict, straight-A student who decides to drink at a party. The pristine princess who likes to visit the muddy farm animals. When character’s decide to do things spontaneously or in the heat of the moment, it can create amazing twists and turns.
6. Give even your minor character's a motive. This isn’t to say that all your characters need deep, intricate motives. However, every character should need or want something, and their actions should reflect that. What’s the motive behind a side character who follows your protagonist on their adventure? Perhaps they’ve always had dreams of leaving their small village or they want to protect your protagonist because of secret feelings.
