i am || this close to fixing circular gallifreyan to make it less stupid. the downside is that’d render it incomprehensible to anyone else, but meh.

#doctor who #the information density is too low #the vowels are weird and confusing #there should be more specific sounds #and what even is syntax?? #how do you indicate sentence structure #i mean the whole thing is a sham #gallifreyan would have a completely alien language structure #grammar sentence structure syntax etc #probably dozens of modifiers to adjust tense #it doesn't translate into english not just because it's the default language of the tardis #but because it CAN'T be translated without losing a significant chunk of meaning #i wrote out a five sentence paragraph and it took up an entire 9x12 sheet of sketch paper #they were long sentences but still #it's not exactly what you'd call an efficient method of data storage/retrieval
