#it's not mothers day in the uk but it does give me feels about yusuke today

Leblanc was empty this morning, save for Yusuke who had asked to come in before any customers to have a moment alone. His gaze was fixed upon the painting on the wall, The Sayuri; a self portrait of a mother he could no longer recall.

But as he looked over the features of the woman in the painting; the gentle smile upon her lips as she gazed down at her baby, he could feel the love she had put into every stroke. That was enough to warm his heart on what could be an otherwise difficult day.

“Happy Mother’s day. Thank you for everything. And please, keep watching over me. I’ll make you proud..”

He spoke softly, placing a small vase near the painting with a carnation placed in it. He spent a few more quiet moments contemplating things before heading to the door to go and put all his efforts into pursuing the true beauty of the world once again. For that was the deepest connection he had to his Mother; a mutual adoration of art and one which he would treasure forever.
