it makes me really sad nowadays whenever someone posts something like "remember being 12 and ripping through a 400 page novel in a day" because the main reason I can't really do that anymore is because of the effect social media has had on my attention span. I would not at all be surprised if kids nowadays never even get to have that phase of ripping through books because they're raised on tiktok, on instagram reels, on twitch and youtube shorts. they probably never even get to experience that

Leaving Elain and Azriel out of art with Nesta and Feyre and Cassian and Rhys just makes me so sad. Elain is literally an Archeron sister and Azriel is one of the batboy brothers. Even if you don't ship them, to exclude them from pieces with their siblings is just... Really sad. I feel like Elain gets left out of the family pieces more than Azriel (even as some have Gwyn... who is just Nesta's friend, while Elain is one of the sisters....) and really... The absence is glaring. Like her or not, she's an Archeron, and if her sisters are there... She should be too.

I really hope her book resolves all this. The fact that the 'shipwar' between a canon ship and a crack ship has gotten to the point of artists leaving Elain and Azriel out of pictures with their family members to avoid 'controversy' is just... It's really sad.

I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible

Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together

Saw something about Hua Cheng always being able to sense his ashes so he can always sense Xie Lian and I just think it adds a hilarious take to him giving Xie Lian his ashes.
