Passing on advice I received growing up as someone who grew up around alternative adults of several flavors and heavily tattooed folks with "job killer" tattoos (and was raised by one such person!) that I have had to put into practice as someone who is alternative themself now:

If you are a young alternative person, it cannot be understated how important having a couple "normie" pieces of clothes in your closet "just in case" is.

Sometimes you will have a job interview, a doctor's appointment, a housing application, or some other kind of obligation where for your own safety and security you need to tone yourself down for a brief period of time.

It's not fair. It's bullshit. But sometimes you have to eat your vegetables you know? And it's a cost benefit analysis and it depends on the things you personally prioritize in your own life, but sometimes minor sacrifices have to be made in order to keep yourself safe and get yourself things you need to do so.

If you’re a terf don’t get in my comments trying to say some cute shit. I’m not here for it. The whole reason I wrote “te.rf” was for terfs not to find my post but okay next time I mention the word terf I guess should just make it “+3rf” or something illegible. I’m not gonna do it now because what’s the point? Really, what is it. What’s the goddamn point.

Like, I don’t care if you’re a terf, just keep that shit away from me. There was no other reason to comment other than a “gotcha!” Moment and really it’s… kind of immature. I’m 17 and I’m not afraid to say it. That was pretty immature. Feel good about your dunk or whatever, I guess. I’m not actively seeking out posts made by terfs and trying to upset them.

..What irks me though, again… is that I spaced the word out. I only mentioned whump in passing and the word terf has a period in the middle. So unless you’re searching for posts that specifically do that (which I did specifically NOT to attract terfs, as it was a passing complaint meant for my casual followers, who are either also queer or support the queer community) then you shouldn’t really be able to see it, should you? But whatever. A period squarely in the middle of a four-letter word isn’t the most unique combination. There’s only so many ways to split up the acronym terf like that.

It just rubs me the wrong way, I guess. I’m just existing, complaining about a user in passing, and this stranger, someone I’ve never met or known ever, has this urge to commentate. To tell me they actively seek out people who, I’m not afraid to say it, hate people like me. I’ve seen the comments terfs make on trans people. Implying or outright saying we’re grotesque or subhuman or stupid. (Or that we’re making bad choices, or that we’re going against biology, or that trans women are mockeries of girlhood and womanhood and every other transphobic take I’ve seen in a 1000-mile radius) I’ve seen terfs tear each other and their “fellow women” apart over it too. It’s kinda freaky.

Goddamn this post started off so frustrated and now I’m just introspective. Like I’m looking in on myself. Did I cause this? Maybe. It’s not my fault for feeling frustrated about terfs in the whump tag and it’s not my fault for saying something solely intended for my followers attracting attention otherwise. I guess I’m just mad because what would drive a person to comment this other than hatred and pettiness? I mean, I’ve been overtaken by pettiness before, but really, there’s just something foul about this. About a stranger dropping by to remind me that they don’t understand people like me and they’re making an active choice to continue engaging in their “exclusion.”

Anyway tl;dr if you’re a terf, go the hell away! Don’t interact with people you hate who are things you hate!! Basic internet etiquette!!!

The Missing Bridges of The Song is The Clue

Which song? "You know which one," says Shax. The one, the only, A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square.

Why is this song The Clue? Because of the gaps - that's right, plural - the missing BRIDGES, specifically these two, as performed by Elsie Carlisle:

For clarity, I know that I could be incorrectly labeling the song structure, however this is my understanding, having once-upon-a-time performed a barbershop arrangement of it, back when I had no emotional connection to the song and was just there to hear the chords ring. Of course I'm in love with the song now!

My memory of the sheet music began with an Introduction (not performed here: "When true two lovers meet in Mayfair...") Then all stanzas we are familiar with in the Tori Amos recording are the Verses ending with Refrain/Chorus(song title).

The structure for the Elsie Carlisle recording: 1st Verse | 2nd Verse | 1st Bridge | 3rd Verse | Instrumental Verse | 2nd Bridge | 4th Verse | Coda.

Tori Amos' performance includes an Instrumental break - not an Instrumental Verse, but an Instrumental BRIDGE, in place of the real First Bridge. Singing along recently, I found myself adding it back in and making connections, not to 1941, but to the 25 Lazarii miracle:

1st Bridge:

The grandfather clock in the east corner of the bookshop, with the moon dial - it appears to be frowning with the wind-up thingamajig, if that's what it is, which is nothing new, but because the moon dial seems to be stuck in the same approximate "third quarter" position, (even in 1941, though that could be a coincidence), together with the glitching behaviour of the clock hands - this clock/these clocks are simply untrustworthy for most of the time, though by the final episode, both have only just normalised/re-aligned before seeming to jump forward together, for perhaps an entirely different reason to what I'm about to put forward.

I thought another possibility for "frowning" would be if the moon phase was either waxing or waning crescent, whichever presents as a frown in the northern hemisphere's London sky.

Does the turnip become a crescent moon in the opening credits title sequence?

However, I want to believe that The Arrival & 25 Lazarii miracle "happened" on Thursday 31st August 2023, - not a crescent moon at all, but a "blue moon" AND Super Full Moon.

We've been shown the days following the urgent 25 Lazarii miracle - was there a similar build-up in the days leading up to it? Or with just two poles to reverse it would have all gone unnoticed anyway, unless...

Is Gabriel's presence The Tempest (or the fly with who knows how many things inside), causing a temporary third magnetic pole to form? Could Crowley's lightning bolt have contributed?

Note the approaching dawn over Soho in the title sequence, once the world has righted itself (an aborted magnetic pole reversal?). Then how The Bentley drives away, splashing up water (left behind after a disoriented Leviathan is attracted to a third magnetic pole?). Is this why Crowley and Aziraphale are chilling out together on the roof?

I still remember how you smiled and said,

Was that a dream, or was it true?

Likely how Aziraphale "helps" to decrease human suffering of the mind, "best forget all about it" or in season 1, "you will wake, having had a lovely dream about whatever you like best." Was this his final contribution to the 25 Lazarii miracle? A variation could be not to forget, but to remember whatever happened during the 25 Lazarii miracle as a dream - that would be good news for Nina and Maggie, if you believe the image on their vintage playlist is of a scene already filmed.

In season 2 episode 2, "present day", Aziraphale is deep in thought, perhaps reflecting on the urgent miracle from the night before, as he glances up and out of the bookshops' North-West front window.

Even though the east-corner clock reads thirty-five past ten, three bells sound - is that coming from the west-corner clock? (making it a "striking clock" rather than a "chiming/tubular bells clock"?) These sound exactly like the three bells Anathema acknowledges before telling Adam that she needs to get "back to work."

Aziraphale then returns to his shop-front desk to resume reading from an open pile of 3-4 books nestled into each others' spines. I wonder if they are books on science, on geomagnetism.

I found this fic when it was at chapter 3 I believe, and I literally was checking it every day until it was finished. The clinical way Tim handles his own deaths until he can’t anymore, the fact that he is an unreliable narrator and the way that is handled by the author, the plot and writing style- look, there’s a reason this fic is in like 40 different collections on AO3.

Fat redistribution is probably THE thing I'm waiting for the most from HRT. I'm already somewhat lucky with my shape not being overly feminine, but there's still some noticeable fat at the bottom, which, especially from the side, doesn't look good... I'm already trying to lose weight, got 95 from 102, but that's not even a half from what I want. I'm planning to go to a gym anyway, so that should help both with weight loss and further body masculinization.

The general mood and various feelings changes come next, and I wonder how different it'll actually feel. And whether I'll get hornier than when I was a teen.

Also voice drop, I'm already trying to talk with my throat instead of how you'd normally talk. This already made my pre-T voice sound less jarring on recordings, even if it's still recognizably feminine. And I need to stick to it more, because I sometimes slip into "normal" fem way of talking.

And, the more private change is also very awaited... I'm kinda surprised how it's often treated as a bad one?? When the idea itself sounds so cool already, idk what to say.

anyone play the remastered versions of ffx? i prefer the graphics of the ps2 game by far but i really want to play with cheats so the steam version appeals to me. but i can’t get over how terrible everyone’s face and facial expressions are, it looks like a cheap ps3 game to me instead of a very high budget and impressive ps2 game. maybe i’ll just get used to it??? can you play with cheats in the ps2 version somehow…..??
