Organic blind playthroughs of undertale untainted by backseating are one of the most magical things to come out of it tbh. Yesssss, you go and kill that monster bc you don't know the mechanics yet. Wooooo, you're excited that you levelled up hell yeah! Awesome, you're shocked and devastated that you killed Toriel after she was so nice and didn't know a way around it.

The joy on people's faces when they redo the game later for pacifist is so so good. So many interactions they didn't see! So many different ways things could've gone - but in a positive way! Neutral is such an awesome introduction to undertale if you started with neutral we shall have a summer wedding

Actually, judging by the dinner conversation he had with his dad, I think comments questioning how much he loves his brother would be more likely to cause him to shut down than incite him to fight.

Mario takes personal attacks with a fair amount of dignity. He gets mad whenever he's challenged or insulted, but he's not going to throw the first punch.

Now, if someone starts questioning Luigi?... That might be a different story.

They've managed to hide being sick for quite a while now and it's objectively impressive. They've avoided anyone getting too close to touching their skin that would give away their fever. They've put in 1000% effort into holding back their sneezing fits and sniffling until they're safe in the bathroom. Timed their coughing fits to seem like they just swallowed wrong. Fought for their life to avoid the food that's been offered to them for the excuse of having already eaten. Forced themselves to be their upbeat usual selves and steer the conversation on other people to avoid the spotlight.

They think they've gotten away with it. No one suspects that they're even slightly under the weather. They anticipate going to whatever event they have/want to be at. Or maybe they have a prickly pride and can't stand to have anyone concerned over them at all. They won't be the center of attention and they succeeded. They're not sick!

Until that one thing gives them away. Maybe it's an extra messy sneezing fit that leaves them congested and scrambling to find a tissue in a way that a healthy person wouldn't. Their coughing gets too deep to be from a sip of water gone down the wrong way. Someone accidentally brushes up against them and notices that they're burning up. Or worse comes to worse, they start throwing up. Whatever it is, their body betrays them at the last possible second in the worst possible way.

So much for trying to hide it.

i’m a big fan of fics where a character gets bodily sent back in time so their past self & the people they knew/know get confronted with the specter of the future and what they might become. and the time traveler is confronted with who they were before everything. peggy sue time travel is fine and all but ohh when i find a fic like that it’s such a treat
