C H A P T E R — O N E
summary: as itachi watched her fight her way through the battlefield in fluid motions, he was breathless. she looked like a valkyrie in all her might, a beautiful pawn in a sea of chaos. it was then that he realized he had fallen for her the same way you fall asleep, slowly, then all at once.
your secret engagement to itachi was everything you had ever wanted. the uchiha clan’s harsh leader has other plans for you involving his youngest son.
warnings: angst, angst, angst, forced marriage, heartbreak, eventual nsfw

itachi uchiha had known from a young age that he was different from the rest of his clan. his father was the clan’s leader, a harsh and stoic leader. fugaku began shaping and reading itachi for leadership as soon as he was steady on his two legs.
on the day his son would turn four years old, he took him to witness the remnants of a battlefield. itachi held back tears as his eyes shifted repeatedly left and right, witnessing pure carnage. shinobi bodies were strewn everywhere, some missing limbs, some completely torn to shreds. he was sure that if he were to lean down and place his hand on one, they’d still be warm to the touch.
“this is war.” fugaku spoke from behind itachi. “remember it’s colours.”
when itachi returned home, he shedded his clothes and buried himself in his bed, under his blanket. it was only then that he allowed himself to cry for hours. itachi was only four years old, but from this day he was no longer a child. from this day he detested his father for taking away his innocence so early.
he spent the next few months endlessly training, deep in the forests of konoha. his fifth birthday came and went, and it no longer mattered to him. he thanked his mother for the birthday dinner, and found himself in the forest once again. he had to get stronger. his mother's stomach was swollen with his future sibling. he wanted to get stronger to protect the two of them. he wasn’t exactly sure from what, but he couldn’t shake the image of his father that cantered in his mind when he pondered that question.
kunai’s flew left and right as itachi flipped effortlessly through the air. each one of them hitting their targets directly in the middle. approaching one of the targets, he ripped the kunai out of the bark and threw it behind him without looking.
silence ensued as itachi kept his back towards the stranger intruding on his training.
“you’ve got pretty good aim for such a little guy.” a voice spoke.
itachi slowly turned himself around and made eye contact with a boy who shared similar features. it was that night that he met shisui and for the first time in what felt like forever, itachi had smiled.
shortly after, his sibling was born. a baby brother named sasuke. from the moment itachi’s eyes met the newborn face of his brother, he knew he would move mountains for sasuke. he would protect him with his life.
the need to train only grew with the birth of the new uchiha boy. he knew what one of his goals was, to become the strongest. because if he was the strongest, he could protect all those around him. his mother, sasuke, shisui.
but as shisui knocked him down for the nth time that day, doubt began to creep up itachi’s throat.
“your head is not in the right place today, itachi.”
his shoulders slumped at shisui’s words but his mouth remained metaphorically sewn shut.
shisui hunched down to level his eyes with those of itachi’s. “your shoulders carry a burden so heavy for a five-year-old. one they should not carry.”
itachi continued to remain silent. shisui’s lips curled up into a smile, “how about we go and get some ramen to clear that big forehead of yours? then we will approach this with a different method.”
this broke itachi’s silence, “i do not have a big forehead!” he protested, pouting. “you’re paying for ramen.” he turned on his heels and began walking out of the forest.
shisui broke out in a laugh, “you’re the clan leader's son, you have more money than i do. yet i’m the one who has to pay every time!”
“i’m only five years old!”
-ˋˏ ༻❁༺ ˎˊ-
“—and this is my sister, sister, this is the clan leader's son, itachi uchiha.”
the girl in front of him bowed slightly, “it is an honour to meet you, itachi-sama.”
itachi’s eyes widened slightly at the honorific, it was the first time someone had addressed him by such a suffix. he felt his cheeks heat up as she rose to the same height as him, a soft smile adorned her cheeks.
thump, thump—
“just call me itachi.”
her smile widened alongside a small giggle leaving her lips. itachi felt his heart rate pick up in his chest slightly.
thump, thump—
shisui had brought up sparring with another person but had never mentioned it would be his sister. yes, that was why he was so nervous. he was nervous about accidentally hurting his friend's younger sister, and that was it.
“the two of you are the same age, and she is a valuable opponent itachi. i’ve been training her myself for the last year, so best of luck to you!”
it was that day, when she sparred against itachi for the first time, that he felt his chest tighten for the first of what would be many times over the next few years.
he couldn’t help but look at you in awe as you fought against him so fluidly, almost like the two of you were conducting an intricate dance. his lips would curl upwards every time the two of you made eye contact behind your pressing kunai’s.
and when she pinned him down to the ground with her kunai pressed against his thorax, he added a goal to his list that he did not dare speak out loud.

Of all the people in the world who could possibly make you feel bad about yourself, Itachi Uchiha was dead last on that list.
Your boyfriend of two years had been nothing but supportive of you and all your dreams since you had met. It probably helped that you both seemed lost in your younger years. Being on the journey of life with someone else was always encouraging.
He didn’t bat an eye when you told him that he no longer wanted to walk down the shinobi path, in fact, you could almost see some tension release from the boy’s shoulders when you brought it up. It wasn’t that you weren’t strong enough, but your mental and emotional fatigue had gotten worse and worse over the years.
“We are all meant for something special, love.” was what he told you, not specifying what that ‘something’ was for you, but rather, leaving it open-ended, allowing you to find that dream.
He was more than pleased when you found out what you wanted to do.
About six months after taking off your leaf village headband you decided to open up a cat cafe, a place to shelter and care for stray cats who you hoped one day would be adopted.
Itachi was there for the grand opening, and while he wasn’t away on missions he insisted on being your second in command, grooming and feeding all the needy kittens… as well as resisting the urge to adopt all of them himself.
A small workaround for this was getting his little brother Sasuke to adopt one of the kittens. “Animals are wonderful for companionship and mental health, Sasuke.” He told his brooding brother who was less than excited to house the animal, but who also always took Itachi’s advice to heart.
Sometimes the conversations weren’t so light-hearted.
One evening, Itachi came home to find you curled up in your bed, hopelessly gloomy.
Immediately he jumped into action, undressing from his ANBU gear and pulling you to his chest as he rested beside you.
“What is it, my love? Please talk to me.”
You sobbed softly, his deep, compassionate voice breaking you in two.
“I-it’s stupid, Itachi…” You shook your head insistently, finally looking up to meet your boyfriend’s tired gaze. “Y-you just got back from a long mission. We sh-should just rest… I’ll be okay.”
“Anything making my dearest this upset is worth speaking about immediately.” He was stern, but not pushing with his words. Itachi held you tighter, brushing the damp hair out of your face.
“Fine..” you let out a long sigh. “Some of the girls.. W-we’re talking about you at the cafe and just…” you looked away, feeling more and more stupid the more you spoke. “They were talking about how attractive you are and just how… how much better you could do.”
You heard Itachi grunt softly, something he did when he wasn’t quite pleased with what he was hearing.
“My love, if I must, I will tell those girls to never come back to the cafe. I can’t-”
“But what if they’re right, Itachi? There are so many beautiful and strong women in this village. So many are leagues above me… maybe you would be better off..” you trailed off, getting more upset the more you spoke.
“Stop that.. Please.” Itachi’s lips are on yours for a moment. It isn’t long enough, but it extinguishes your tears shortly.
“You push me to be more of myself. You push me to be a better man and a better shinobi. Y/N, I have never laid eyes upon someone who I thought was more beautiful or who has made me feel like I am worth this much.” You could almost hear his voice catch. He hadn’t sounded this emotional since he first confessed his love to you. “Those girls... They look at me as if I’m some sort of prey, not as a lover or a companion. They hear my name and think of the legacy and not of me. You have something incredibly important that they do not… You have my heart, Y/N, and there is absolutely no one who can change that. I will be here with you until the end or until you no longer want me.”
This time, you kiss Itachi first and the two of you melt into one another as if it’s your first.

“I don’t have time for this,” You said as you put your meal away and walk to your desk hidden in a pile of loose papers and books.
It is almost the end of the semester and you have to do your final exams in order to get your final grades. You hated this part of the year. All of your teachers seem to agree to set the date of your exams and final projects due at the same time as if they hated you and your classmates.
You sit on your chair and start to search in the pile of papers the ones for the subject you had to study for your test set tomorrow.
Itachi, your boyfriend comes into your apartment worried since you didn’t hear him knocking at the door. His ninja instinct kicked in as he walked through the apartment searching for you or any possible danger. He relaxed when he found you in your room working at your desk.
You were too concentrated on the papers in front of you that you didn’t notice his presence. The subject you were studying for was one of the hardest; if you fail this test you won’t pass the subject and had to repeat it the next semester. You couldn’t let that happen, it will only make you set back.
“Y/n?” Itachi called you softly trying not to scare you.
You jumped a little on your chair, he did scare you. You quickly turn to see who was calling you and breathed in relief when you saw Itachi.
“Hey, sorry. I didn’t hear you coming.”
“Are you okay? It’s been two days since I last see you. We agree to train together today in the morning. I was worried” He came close to you and caressed your cheek.
“It was today? Sorry love, I haven’t slept like in three days, I lose track of time.” You stand up to hug him.
“I can see that” he hugged you back and kissed the top of your head.
“Uh, sorry. I haven’t had time to take a bath either.” You pulled away from his embrace.
“It’s everything okay?” he takes a look at the papers on your desk. “Are you on your finals, isn’t it?”
“Yes. I had this big test coming up and other ones the following days. I even had two tests on the same day. And if it wasn’t enough, I have to do a project for one class.” You sit back in your chair. “I’m really doing everything I can. I’m taking turns studying each subject and making time to do the project. I haven’t slept or eaten, why does it feel like it isn’t enough?”
Itachi’s heart broke when he saw you about to have a meltdown. He goes down on his knees in front of you. He took your hands in his and brushed his thumbs on the back of your hands. “You will pass all of your tests and have a great grade on your project. You don’t have to kill yourself in the process”. He was looking at you directly in the eyes, eyes that were full of love.
You were trying to hold back your tears.
“Let’s take a break. You need it.” He stands up making you do it as well.
You hugged and hold onto him. “Thanks”, you said with your face resting on his chest.
You two stayed hugging each other for a while. When you felt ready you let go of him.
“Let’s make you some food, take a little walk outside so you can take some fresh air, then we will come back and you will take a nap”. He took your hand and made you walk with him to your kitchen. You were about to complain but he interrupted you. “No complaints. It’s an order”.
You followed him with a smile on your lips. You don’t know what you did to deserve a loving and caring boyfriend like Itachi.

You Never Have to Forgive Me - I Will Always Love You.
⭐︎ Word Count: 5844 ⭐︎
⭐︎ Warnings: Canon-typical violence, hurt/comfort, angst ⭐︎
⭐︎ Description: Itachi drags you along with him for a trip to Konohagakure without telling you what’s going on. When he comes back, tears streaming down his face with a clear indication of pain, you know something’s gone wrong. ⭐︎
*a/n: i originally posted this on my main blog, but ive since created a new one and decided to repost it here. im still the real eyeles i promise!!
You and Itachi arrived in Konohagakure early in the morning - you were quick to disguise yourselves as simple tourists upon entering the gate, flashing a bright smile to the guarding ninja and telling stories of your wide travels across the Land of Fire. The ninja let you into the village with a kindhearted smile and a wish of success. You and Itachi quickly made your way to the nearest inn, where you promptly set down all of your items and made a plan for the day.
When Itachi asked you to accompany him on a mission to Konoha, you were hesitant to agree. In all the years you had known the man, he had never once expressed an interest in returning to Konoha. You were only vaguely aware of what had happened in the Leaf all those years ago, but you knew enough to know that Itachi was correct to stay far away. He’d never talked about it with you despite your status as his closest friend; Itachi was stuck with his walls up at all times and very rarely expressed any emotion. He was objective, honest, and emotionless - it’s what appealed to you the most, but it concerned you when he hid his emotions from you. You never knew when he was in a bad place, and that’s what confused you the most when he asked you out of the blue if you would join him on a mission to Konoha.
As soon as you had settled into the hotel, Itachi was heading out the door. He moved silently and didn’t even bother calling your name - the man had fully intended on leaving you in the hotel room and heading out to the streets on his own. Before you had even realized he’d left the room, he was already making his way down the pavement.
Itachi walked swiftly to his destination, using the distinct muscle memory that was ingrained into his mind years ago. He took a left turn, went straight for a while, turned again at the large flower pot, then circled around the fountains to reach his destination - it was the same route he took to the academy almost every single day of school when he was a child.
The dirt was still the same reddish brown that he remembers; it kicked up the exact same way as it used to and created the same dust clouds as Itachi walked. He was entranced by the ivy that had grown across the building he’d admired since he was a child - he’d stare at it every morning as he walked past it and always expressed how much he wanted to live there when he was older. At the age of 21, though, Itachi felt an unfortunate pain in his heart when he first saw that building now overgrown with ivy and grass. It looked abandoned, even.
The sound of a bell had taken Itachi out of his thoughts. He was standing at the corner right across from the Konohagakure academy and his eyes scanned the crowd of children that were now pouring out of the building. He recognized a few kids as members of clans based on their familiar outfits, but beyond that, Itachi felt saddened by the lack of recognition in his mind. Nothing in the village had changed, it seemed, yet Itachi felt as though he’d never been there before.
A kid with bright yellow hair dashed out of the crowd, an intelligible yell escaping his mouth. He appeared happy as he ran, and Itachi watched the two kids trail behind him. A girl with gorgeous pink hair followed the blonde boy with her arms crossed in clear disappointment. Behind her, trailing even slower, was a boy that Itachi had failed to recognize entirely. He looked angry at first, but it became easy to see that he was indifferent to what the boy was yelling about. Itachi furrowed his brow in confusion at the dark-haired boy before it had finally clicked.
The child, who must have been no older than 12, was Itachi’s younger brother - and Itachi was unable to recognize him.
There was nothing about Sasuke that was different or unusual for an Uchiha member; he wore the same white shorts and blue shirt that even Itachi wore as a kid. The familiar Uchiha crest was sewn into the back of the shirt, even. It had simply been too many years since Itachi had last seen his younger brother, and the memory of Sasuke’s face and mannerisms had slowly faded. Every time Itachi failed to recall a memory of his brother, he felt the same aching pain in his heart. Yet, he stayed away.
Sasuke had not noticed Itachi, thankfully, because Itachi had taken a few steps forward in a risky attempt to get a better view of him and almost drew attention to himself. In a moment of desperation, Itachi had activated his Sharingan to solidify the memory in his mind. He had forgotten everything else about Sasuke - he was not going to forget him again, he was determined. Unfortunately, the glow of the Sharingan was far too eye-catching.
Out of the corner of his eye, Sasuke Uchiha could have sworn that he saw the familiar red glow of the Sharingan eyes. He’d seen a tall figure in the shadow of a building across the street as he slowly trailed after Naruto and dreaded the next two hours of training. The figure was out of his mind almost as soon as he’d looked away, but the familiar glowing red he saw out of the corner of his eye was enough for his heart to drop to his stomach. He turned his head instantly to get a better view, but the figure had disappeared entirely by the time he realized what he was looking at. Sasuke muttered to himself and returned his attention back to his teammates, who were now significantly ahead of him. The thought of his older brother lingered in the back of his mind.
When Itachi returned to the hotel room, you were about to release a wave of anguish on him. You had a speech written and rehearsed for the man - it was a powerful proclamation of how you will never be disrespected like this again, how it was extremely inappropriate and immature of Itachi to invite you here and then immediately abandon you. Before you could even open your mouth, though, you stopped in your tracks once you realized Itachi was standing in front of you with tears silently streaming down his face.
“I didn’t recognize him,” he said at a whisper, voice clearly shaking.
“Who?” you asked as you walked toward Itachi, arms held out to him.
“Sasuke.”
Your expression softened instantly upon hearing that name - though you never knew much about the relationship Itachi had with Sasuke, you knew that they were family. Despite everything that happened in the Uchiha clan, it was understood that Itachi cared for Sasuke far more than you’d ever know. When Itachi spoke those words, it stirred a wave of emotion inside of you that could not stop you from pulling him into a hug.
Itachi collapsed into you and sniffled as he attempted to take a deep breath and prevent his tears from falling. It failed, though, when a sob came out of his chest unintentionally. His crying became borderline uncontrollable as he fell into your shoulder. Your arms wrapped around his body as you pulled him closer; gently, you tried to reassure him.
“You’re okay,” you whispered, doing your best to fight back your own tears, “you’re okay.”
Itachi tried to speak, but another cry came out by accident. You shushed him and pressed your hand to his back and began rubbing circles on him in an attempt to soothe him. After another minute of his cries, you carefully led him across the room to sit on the bed. He followed without any issue and sat down next to you, but didn’t dare show his face to you. When he pushed himself away from your shoulder moments later, you looked away from his face. Itachi was a man who was obsessed with his image - he’s eternally poised and always holds himself to the highest degree of decorum; being seen in a state like this is something that he’d be embarrassed of for the rest of his life, so you consciously did your best to avert your gaze.
“I thought that seeing Sasuke after all this time would reassure me, but it’s done the opposite,” his voice faltered as he sat up, still clearly distraught. “I could tell, even in that short moment, that… That I destroyed all potential for him to succeed.” He lowered his head and rested it on his palms, pressing one to his eye in an attempt to clear the oncoming headache after his tears had slowed down.
“You cannot predict the future,” you said, wrapping your arm around his shoulder, “you have no idea what Sasuke will do. I’m sure he’s amazing.”
“He would have surpassed me by now if I hadn’t done what I did,” Itachi whispered, “I destroyed his potential. I created his pain and I solidified his life of grief and isolation.”
“You were a kid,” you hugged him tighter, “you had no choice.”
Itachi shook his head. “What I did was beyond horrible.”
“Yes,” you agreed, “but that does not mean that you are horrible.”
Itachi crumbled once more, leaning further into your touch.
The tears continued falling silently until the sun had began to set. The sky had turned a gorgeous pink color and reflected beautifully on the lake in front of the inn - when you realized how late it had become, you peeled away from your sleeping partner to get dinner for the both of you. He had eventually cried himself to sleep, you assumed, and was now resting. You wrote a note for him just in case he woke up during the time you were gone. You threw on a jacket and went to the front desk to ask where the best takeout food was.
You kicked the red dirt as you walked, slowly chasing the same pebble that you’d accidentally brushed forward. It became a game to you, to see just how far you could take that single pebble. It made it only a few more kicks before you’d underestimated your strength and sent it flying off your charted path. You turned your attention toward your surroundings and found yourself peoplewatching as you walked.
There was a kid, maybe 13 at most, who was being screamed at by a girl of roughly the same age with the highest ponytail you’d ever seen. What she was saying was mostly incomprehensible to you, but it was clear that the boy did not seem to care. In fact, there was another boy right next to him feasting on a bag of chips while watching the entire ordeal.
After you’d turned the corner, your destination came into view. There was a group of kids across the street with a few ninja watching over them, the adults having their own conversations while the kids were busy trying to show off the different jutsu they’d allegedly mastered. A boy with an adorably small dog was boasting about his seemingly excellent kunai-throwing accuracy while a different boy in an alarmingly green outfit was proclaiming his dedication to being a ninja. Seeing the kids just be kids sparked a warmth in your heart, a tender feeling that everything just might be fine.
You entered the ramen shop with intentions to get a light dinner. However, when you sat down and looked at the row of people next to you, it was obvious that the proportions in this restaurant were huge. You ordered your food and stared at the posters while you waited. You’d also decided to passively eavesdrop on the group next to you.
“You’re being a total loser,” an unfamiliar voice said. From what you could tell, there were three kids and a ninja - you could only assume that they were a team.
“What?” another one playfully groaned, “I just wanna see whose quicker at eating a bowl of ramen!” The boy smacked his chopsticks on the table, signaling to the chef to make another bowl.
“Did you ask me if I’d buy you enough ramen for that, Naruto?” The ninja at the opposite end of the table asked, not even bothering to look up from the book he was reading, which had a large “18+” sticker on the back of it. It made you cringe just a little to see a man reading that in public.
The blonde boy, who you assumed was Naruto, smiled sheepishly and shook his head. “What’s a little more ramen, huh?” he asked. He then turned to the boy he was taunting previously. “What, Sasuke, you scared?”
Instantly, your head turned to the boy. The lighting in the shop wasn’t amazing, so you couldn’t exactly see his face, but you could tell just by looking at him that he was an Uchiha; the crest on the back of his shirt gave it away completely, but even just looking at his face was enough. The resemblance to Itachi was undoubtful. This was Sasuke Uchiha, and you were somehow lucky enough to run into him.
“Would you QUIT IT?!” A hand smacked Naruto’s face quickly, causing him to scream in pain. “Sakura!” Naruto whined, putting his head down on the table. Sakura huffed and returned to her ramen while Sasuke smirked in satisfaction.
Your own bowl of ramen was placed in front of you and you began to eat. You quickly discovered it was far too hot, though, so you needed to pass the time until it cooled off.
“Excuse me,” you smiled at the group next to you, “but I’m a tourist from the Land of Water and I was hoping you’d be able to tell me about Konohagakure. You’re ninja, correct?”
You didn’t intend on spending the next hour talking to the group, but you did - The team’s leader had introduced himself as Kakashi Hatake, who you’d most certainly heard of because of his use of the Sharingan eye. Though you were a more peaceful participant of the Akatsuki group, you were still knowledgeable on the organization’s biggest enemies. Kakashi was certainly one of them, mostly because of his amazing abilities as a ninja.
Naruto Uzumaki was the one to do most of the talking. It was very easy to see that he was someone who was constantly bouncing off the walls with excitement over the prospect of being a ninja. You’d learned all about his academy life within just a few minutes and, with one of the cutest smiles you’d ever seen, told you that he’d invite you personally to be in the front row of his inauguration as the next Hokage. With how dedicated he seemed, a part of you truly believed in his ability.
Sakura Haruno was next to tell you about both herself and Konoha, though she mostly told you about the different herbalist and medicinal specialists throughout the village. She told you that she wanted to become a medical ninja and wanted to do everything she could to help those in need - seeing such a bright and kind young girl filled your heart with a warmth like no other and in that moment, you felt a true hope for the future world.
“What about you?” You’d asked, turning to Sasuke Uchiha. You only started the conversation with Team Seven simply to talk to Sasuke, and yet he was the one who spoke the least. He appeared to have no interest in talking to you, though, as he only answered with a short sentence.
“I’m going to be the best ninja in the world,” he said sternly. He’d been picking slowly at his ramen that was nearing empty and when he spoke, he stabbed the noodles with precision.
“You’ve got to be pretty amazing to do that, y’know. Would you say you’re pretty good?” You inquired.
“Sasuke’s the top of his class!” Sakura chimed in, leaning over the table to look at him. She grinned at Sasuke, who appeared entirely indifferent to her presence, and she giggled.
“Really?” You smiled. Sakura nodded enthusiastically. “He’s the best! He’s totally mastered his Fireball Jutsu and he’s even mastered the Chidori!”
Though you had no idea what the Chidori was, you could sense that it was an impressive move when Kakashi nodded in confirmation. Sasuke didn’t respond to you nor Sakura’s compliments - instead, he continued picking at his food.
“Well, I’m sure you’ve got tons of people that are proud of you,” you smiled at him. In a low voice, you continued. “I know your family is proud of you, at least.”
Sasuke noticeably tensed up. “You know nothing of my family.”
You shook your head. “Not much, no, but you’re clearly a talented boy. It’s hard to miss that.”
An hour later, you returned to your hotel room with a box of ramen for Itachi. He remained laying in the same spot you’d left him, though this time he was wide awake. At first, you thought he was maybe dead because of his stillness - instead, though, he was staring at the ceiling simply because he didn’t want to get up.
“I brought you food,” you said.
He sat up slowly and pushed the hair out of his face. Itachi took the bag from you and began eating what you brought him. He didn’t say thank you, but you could see his appreciation despite the silence and averted gaze. He’d voice his thoughts many days later once the two of you returned home, but you knew it before then anyway.
“I… I saw Sasuke,” you said after a few minutes. His hand went still, pausing in the middle of lifting some noodles out of the bowl with chopsticks. He looked up at you and met your eyes for the first time that night. He looked exhausted, and it filled you with a feeling of sorrow just at the sight of his tired eyes.
“He’s amazing, Itachi,” you whispered with a smile, “he’s such a bright young boy. I talked to him and his teammates.”
Itachi nodded before returning to his food.
He cleared his throat. “Could you tell me about him?” He asked just above a whisper, voice wavering. You nodded.
“I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up,” you laughed, “and he said he wanted to be the best ninja ever. It was adorable.”
Itachi’s lip twitched at your remark, which was usually an indication of a smile for him.
“His teammate said that he mastered both the Fireball Jutsu and the Chidori.”
“The Chidori?” Itachi inquired, eyebrows furrowing, “that’s a high-level jutsu.”
You smiled and nodded. “His teacher is none other than Kakashi Hatake, Itachi. He’s the best in his class, I’m told. He’s an amazing kid.”
Itachi smiled this time. “I always knew he’d be an amazing ninja,” he whispered, “but mastering the Chidori at his age is unheard of.”
You sat down on the bed next to Itachi, leaning your shoulder against his. “He’s got some pretty awesome teammates too,” you grinned, “there’s this kid Naruto. They’re like, best friends and enemies at the same time. Couldn’t stop bickering with each other, it was adorable. He says he’s going to be Hokage some day, and I think I believe him.”
Itachi hummed in response. You continued. “Kakashi also has the Sharingan, too, which means Sasuke has someone to teach him at least a little bit, you know.”
Itachi shrugged. “He can only teach Sasuke so much.”
You nodded. “I’m sure Sasuke’s already passed him in the Sharingan by now.”
The rest of the night was spent retelling every single moment of your dinner with Sasuke. You made sure to leave out nothing - you went as far as telling Itachi exactly what his brother had ordered at the ramen shop, even. Itachi deserved to know every single second of what happened, no matter how small. When you’d finished telling him and the two of you had gone silent, you turned off the light in the room and crawled into the bed next to Itachi.
“During the mission briefing,” Itachi whispered, “I was told to eliminate everyone.”
It went without saying what mission Itachi was referring to. You reached out for his hand in the dark.
“I couldn’t hurt Sasuke,” he said, and you could tell he was crying once more. “I knew I couldn’t, so I planned to tell him the most vile things to make him hate me.” You furrowed your brow, but didn’t speak up. He continued. “Just to give him a reason to live after everything that I’d done.”
Itachi was shaking now, and you couldn’t tell if it was because of his crying or if he was having another panic attack. You squeezed his hand in reassurance.
“I couldn’t say anything to him,” Itachi whispered. “It pains me to say that I have no memory of the last conversation I had with my brother.”
“You should talk to him,” you whispered to him. Itachi stayed silent. At one point, you thought he had fallen asleep.
“I’d like that,” he responded. “I would like that.”
A whole fourteen hours later, you and Itachi found yourselves outside the academy. He wanted to talk to Sasuke but expressed to you that he was unsure where to start. Even though Itachi had a delicate and practiced mask of indifference on at all hours of the day, it was obvious that he was incredibly nervous at the prospect of meeting his younger brother. Itachi’s mask was cracking and falling off, though, as his nerves increasingly got the better of him. His hands were twitching and fidgety as you walked together through the streets and he completely ignored everything you had to say, almost as if he was lost in thought entirely. It was normal for Itachi to ignore you, but never this much - if he truly didn’t want to listen to you, he’d have gotten far away by now.
“Itachi,” you whispered, gently elbowing the man, “look.”
From where the two of you stood in the shadows of a nearby building, it was difficult to see the oncoming flood of children that were released from school at the precise time of 2o’clock. However, the striking appearance of Naruto in the crowd was enough to draw your attention. His bright yellow hair and rowdy attitude drew your eyes in, which lead you to the Sasuke and Sakura that were trailing behind him with annoyed faces.
You looked to Itachi, who appeared as indifferent as ever, and did your best to scan his face for any indication of what he was thinking. He seemed completely frozen.
“They have training after school most days,” you whispered to him, recalling your memory of the shared dinner and remembering how Naruto told you all about how hard he trains.
His bright smile was contagious. “I train pretty much every day, you know!” He beamed at you, “every single day after school!” Naruto giggled. “Well, except Mondays and Wednesdays…”
“It might be best for us to wait until after training.” Itachi nodded at your comment, but didn’t respond. You watched Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto walk down the path until they had become specks along the horizon. Then, the two of you were on your way.
“Wait,” Itachi grabbed your shoulder as you turned to walk back to the hotel. You stopped in your tracks and turned to him with a look of bewilderment.
“I want to watch them train,” he proposed, “to see if I… truly did destroy his chances.”
Together, you walked to the training grounds where Sasuke and his teammates had gone to. The walk was quiet but comfortable, though Itachi’s nerves were still present. You tried to reassure him during your walk, but it proved to be useless once it was clear that Itachi was not looking for your advice.
“There is nothing you can say that will subdue my unease,” Itachi muttered, “it’s best to leave it alone right now.”
When you finally arrived at the training grounds, Sasuke and his teammates were sitting in the grass together.
“Maaaaan!” Naruto groaned, leaning back into the grass, “Kakashi-sensei is so lame, making us wait here all day for him!”
“You’re lame, loser,” Sasuke mumbled, using a stick to mindlessly drag along the grass in boredom. Naruto huffed in response at the childish insult, but didn’t respond.
The three chattered about school for almost twenty minutes until their sensei had finally arrived to the training grounds.
“Sorry guys, a black cat crossed my path-”
“So you had to go the long way,” the three children chimed in, a sure sign that Kakasshi’s excuse was long worn out. He smiled sheepishly and shoved his book into a pocket, making sure to bookmark the page first. Despite the long wait, Sakura had a soft smile on her face and Naruto was giggling at the absurdity.
“Now then, should we get started?” Kakashi asked, which made all three students rise to their feet and await instruction.
The training session was focused on building team trust - the copy ninja had his students working together to achieve a goal, however the major handicap was Naruto needing to listen to his teammates and Sasuke needing to cooperate with Naruto. There was plenty of fighting, but they eventually reached their goal. Sasuke got to practice a few of his jutsu during the training session as well, which caused Itachi to let out a chuckle of satisfaction at the sight of his younger brother being a talented ninja.
“He’s acquired quite the set of skills,” Itachi commented under his breath, “it’s impressive.”
You smiled. “I told you,” you said, “he’s a gifted kid.” Itachi, for what seemed like the first time in his life, smiled. It was small and soft, but it was definitely there - his lip curled upward and twitched a little at the unfamiliarity of the muscle being used, but it was certainly recognizable as a smile. It filled you with a feeling of felicity.
When training was finally over, you and Itachi trailed Sasuke back to where he was living. Upon first glance, you thought Sasuke had been living in the Uchiha property alone all this time. He entered through the main gates, but instantly turned right and walked down a small path that lead to a small shed in the back of the property. As you slowly trailed the boy, you peered into the windows of the buildings surrounding and found that they were either boarded up or riddled with crime-scene tape. As you walked past a window, you were met with what appeared to be a black reflection. However, you quickly recognized it instead as a swarm of flies covering the panes. You shuddered and directed your attention elsewhere.
Itachi was noticeably tense, presumably reliving that one night all over again, and he remained completely silent as the two of you walked. Sasuke was just barely in the distance, but he was close enough to just barely be seen. The growing darkness assisted in hiding your figures from Sasuke, so you grew less concerned with staying hidden.
Once Sasuke had disappeared inside his shed, you and Itachi stepped behind a building to quietly discuss the plan you had come up with that morning.
“Okay,” you smiled at him reassuringly, “you’re just going to go up there, knock on the door, and talk to him.”
Itachi nodded, remaining quiet.
“And if he gets violent or starts acting like he’s going to do something irrational, you get out of there immediately, right?” You nudged him to make sure he was paying attention.
“Yes,” Itachi spoke, suddenly aware of how dry his mouth was.
You watched the man walk across the gravel and knock gently on the door before taking a step back. Almost thirty seconds later, the door opened and you watched the look of pure confusion on Sasuke’s face change into horror the moment Itachi opened his mouth.
“It’s you,” Sasuke spat, “I hoped that you’d be dead by now.”
Itachi was about to speak, but Sasuke was quick to cut him off.
“Nevermind that, I’ll be the one to do it then!” Sasuke yelled, dashing toward Itachi with a spark of lightning in his palm. Itachi was far too quick, though, and easily dodged the attack - Sasuke went flying past him and almost into the garden wall.
“I came here to talk,” Itachi said, watching Sasuke stumble back to his feet. “I do not wish to fight you.”
“Really?!” Sasuke spat, “you told me you only let me live so I could be the one to kill you!” He shifted positions and pulled out a kunai. “You held me at knifepoint, Itachi, and said I was too pathetic to kill!”
He dashed toward your partner again, and Itachi reached a hand out to stop Sasuke. The force of his brothers actions were enough to send Sasuke flying into Itachi’s body before he quickly jumped back.
“You’re the pathetic one, Itachi,” he raged, “you’re too much of a coward to even fight me!”
Itachi nodded. “You’re right, Sasuke.”
His breath caught in his throat upon hearing the words, but his position did not falter. “Are you really that craven?” he taunted, beckoning Itachi forward with the kunai.
“I wanted to apologize,” Itachi stated. Sasuke scoffed.
“For killing our clan?” Sasuke tightened his grip on the blade. “You’re long past forgiveness for that, brother.”
“No,” Itachi stepped forward, “for accepting the mission.”
Sasuke’s brow furrowed. “What the hell do you mean?” he asked. He held his grip.
“Our clan was planning a coup,” Itachi explained, “and intended to overthrow the Hokage. I was given direct orders to eliminate all the participants.”
Sasuke scoffed. “However,” he muttered, “I could not bring myself to eliminate you.”
“I was too pathetic to kill, right?” Sasuke narrowed his eyes. “I was too pitiful. Say it, Itachi!”
Sasuke took a few steps toward Itachi and pressed the blade to his older brother’s neck, indenting the skin just enough for it to be truly threatening. He locked eyes with his opponent. “I want to hear you say it.”
“You were too precious, Sasuke,” Itachi said, which caused Sasuke to stumble backward in surprise. “I loved you too much to hurt you, and every day I regret what I did.”
Sasuke shook his head. From where you were standing and watching everything going down, it seemed as though tears were beginning to form in his eyes. You found yourself thinking about all the years Sasuke spent alone because of Itachi, and your empathy only grew stronger for the boy.
“You told me I was pathetic,” Sasuke said, perplexed. His brother nodded slowly.
“I had to give you a reason to live after what I had done.”
Sasuke shook his head again, refusing to believe his brother. “I have spent my whole life waiting for the day that I could kill you,” he spat, “and you’re here telling me it was all for nothing?!”
“I’d be honored if you were the one to kill me,” Itachi whispered.
“Every day, my dear brother, I regret what I did. There is not a moment that goes by where I am not in an unwavering state of lament because of my actions. I left you alive because I could not bring myself to hurt you. I love you more than anything, Sasuke, and it’s the reason that I stand before you today.”
Sasuke growled, seemingly unaffected by the words Itachi just spoke. “You’re a monster,” he hissed, “you deserve to spend every second of your life in despair for what you did!”
A kunai was thrown swiftly from Sasuke, which struck the door where Itachi was standing. With a quick lean to the left, the kunai went right past him and into the wooden frame. Sasuke let out a groan of frustration.
“I hate you,” he condemned, “and I want nothing to do with you!”
“I do not need you to love me, dear Sasuke,” Itachi expressed, “I just need you to know the truth.”
Itachi revealed a scroll beneath his cloak. It was something that you’d never seen before, which caused you to wonder exactly how long Itachi had been planning this trip to see Sasuke. He set the scroll on the ground and rolled it across the pavement.
“This scroll contains the mission briefings and all the paperwork associated with it. You will see Danzo’s signature on every single one of those papers, along with exactly what I was ordered to do.”
Sasuke peered down at the scroll and, after a moment of consideration, picked it up. His hands traced the words written on the seal. Itachi produced another scroll, smaller this time.
“This scroll is a communication scroll.” Itachi rolled it across the ground. “This one is connected to another I have in my possession. Whatever you write on the scroll will appear on mine, and the same for my writing.”
Sasuke picked up the second scroll and opened it and found a large sheet of what appeared to be simple parchment. A seal was drawn across the top.
“I left you for so long because I believed you were not strong enough to understand the information contained in that scroll,” Itachi stated. “However, a dear friend of mine told me all about your talent. I’ve been told that you’re the best in your class and that you’ve mastered some impressive jutsu already, Sasuke.”
A shade of pink rose to Sasuke’s face. “So what?” He huffed.
“I am proud of you,” Itachi smiled. “You’ve turned into a fine young man, and I couldn’t be any more delighted to hear how amazing you’ve become.”
Itachi’s eyes glanced over to you, and he gave you a look before quickly signing a few hand formations and disappearing into a cloud of smoke.
“I truly wish to be your brother again, Sasuke,” Itachi had said just a second before disappearing, and Sasuke’s face formed a look of sorrow. A single tear had slid down his face after his brother had disappeared, and you waited until he went inside to move.
When you returned to the hotel, you found Itachi sitting on the bed and peering outside the window. You greeted him quietly, and he nodded his head at you in response.
“That went as well as it could have,” you stated. He nodded.
“I believe that, in due time, Sasuke will open that scroll and finally understand.”
You smiled at Itachi and sat down next to him, leaning your own head on his shoulder. “I think Sasuke is lucky to have you as a brother, minus the killing your family part.”
Itachi actually chuckled lightly at your remark despite the untoward joke.
“I can only hope that a day will come where Sasuke himself could think that, Y/N.”

Divine Intervention
This was supposed to be attached to an ask, but I decided to separate them. It didn't quite fit, but I didn't want to scrap the story. Hope you enjoy!
Itachi x Reader
Warnings: Angst, loss/death, canon-typical violence. Sliiiight yandere themes
1.4k
Though it had been years since you last saw Itachi's face, your silent guardian was always there – following your ascent through the ranks with swelling pride, admiring the shinobi you had become from the shadows. You had been friends once upon a time, before the village ruined his life by painting him as a traitor in the public's eye and thrusted you into his place as their next golden child.
He watched mission after mission as you performed flawlessly with an enviable record and an ever-increasing strength of schedule. The enemies grew stronger and the circumstances more dire. Yet each time, they expected nothing short of perfection – demanding victory after victory as the stakes continued to rise with no end in sight. The escapes grew more narrow and cracks began to form in the pristine clay mask concealing your face until it finally happened – you failed a mission, and your four man squad was reduced to one.
Itachi had been tailing you on that fateful day, but the silent observer found himself unable to merely watch this time.
Those enemies were fierce – too fierce to be faced by a squad of even your caliber, and you knew it the moment the first attack struck your glimmering chakra barrier with so much force that your feet were driven six inches into the dirt on impact as you tried to shoulder the blast. You could only watch in horror as your stumbling comrades vaporized mere steps away from the edge of your saving light when they were engulfed by the explosion you had just barely survived.
Ever-present, crimson eyes narrowed from the treeline.
Too much chakra. Too many enemies. Her shield can't take another hit like that.
The next assault thundered in like a meteor, so much stronger than the last. It screamed toward you with a sonic boom and blistering light that seared your eyes. You only had an instant to make the call no shinobi ever wanted to make – if you were going down, they were coming with you.
Itachi's chest collapsed into knots as he spotted the hand signs conjuring the jutsu that would be your last stand – the jutsu that would trade your life force for enough chakra to reflect the coming attack in a cataclysmic shockwave that would obliterate everything in a five mile radius – friends and foes alike. Your head tipped skyward as you closed your eyes, whispering what you thought would be your last words to the drifting clouds and shifting your hands to form the sign that would seal your fate. "Divine Sacrifice: Aegis of Retribu–"
Itachi's feet left the branch on which he was perched before he even made the conscious decision to move, flying toward you in a flash with his Sharingan spinning in focus as the skeletal form of his mighty Susanoo erupted from his body. Massive, glowing ribs closed around you as a hand snatched your wrist, wrenching your palms apart. The last thing you saw before everything snowed out was the warm, crimson gaze of a long lost friend, pleading with the gods that he wasn't too late.
~•••◇•••~
A soft touch on your face slowly drew your consciousness back to the surface of the murk in which you drifted, though you very much wished it hadn't. Everything ached. Your bones felt like they had been replaced with lead. The damp air settled thickly in your lungs as you coughed and groaned quietly, turning your cheek into an unknown warmth while your eyes slowly cracked open. Blinking through the darkness and fog, your gaze slowly drifted upward, following a pale hand up the sleeve of a long, black cloak. Disbelief hung in the air as you laid eyes on a phantom, a ghost from your past.
"Itachi?"
A soft smile spread across his sullen features. "It's been a while."
Struggling to sit upright, you grimaced with breath caught in your throat, trying to fight through the haze of what landed you in this confusing position. "What happened… I… the battle – how are you – how am I alive?"
With a quiet hum, Itachi took a seat next to you and placed a flask of water into your trembling hands, giving you a moment to gain your bearings before speaking. "I stopped you from completing your jutsu."
"You… what?" Your voice cracked as images of the lost cause of a fight rushed back into your head. Flashes of light – explosions… your comrades being vaporized into clouds of pink mist trying to run into the safety of your chakra barrier. A horrible lump swelled in your throat as the look of panic on their faces burned in your mind. "No… Itachi – why?"
"The battle was lost before it even began. I saw no reason to allow you to perish as well," he stated simply, eyes locked on yours as your carefully crafted facade of professionalism began to crack.
The years of training and suppressed emotions started to unravel as the grimness of reality began to sink in. The Hidden Leaf's Golden Child began crumbling before eyes that saw everything. "I failed," you whispered mournfully, burying your face in your hands and chanting their names in a regretful prayer as though it might summon them from their graves. "All dead. I – their leader – should have been the one–" You dug dirty fingernails into your scalp as your shoulders tensed into knots and you choked back bubbling tears. "How do I tell… H-how do I tell their families that… They trusted me, Itachi – and I failed. I was supposed to be the best. They were supposed to be safe – i-it wasn't supposed to end this way," you rambled brokenly into your filthy palms, smearing dirt across your face as the weight of your regrets crushed your spirit. Fabric shuffled beside you as the weight of a heavy cloak eased the shaking of your fatigued shoulders. "I'm supposed to be dead, Itachi. Why – why would you–"
"You were set up to fail, and I think you knew that already," Itachi said softly. "Your superiors sent you because they knew you would sacrifice yourself to take out the enemy for the good of the village."
You lifted your face, anguish contorting your features into an ugly mess of blood and dirt as you turned to face your old friend. "What the hell am I supposed to do now?"
With a soft smile, Itachi swiped a stray tear from the mess staining your cheeks. "Well, what do you want to do?"
"Honestly?" Chewing your quivering lip, you mulled over the nauseating truth turning your insides to tar. "I'd wash hands of it all and just disappear if I could. I lost my entire goddamn squad and failed – all in one go. I'm a disgrace."
"Walk away, then," he said simply, cradling your dampened face in his palm. "Walk away from the village that would send you to your death in the name of the greater good. They've already washed their hands of you."
"As much as I want to… I can't just…" you choked through the painful knot swelling in your stomach as the thoughts of what you would have to face upon returning to the village weighed heavily on your heart. "I'm so tired. So tired of all of this…" Sickening heat washed through your cheeks as the poisoned barbs of regret and loss dug painfully into your soul. "But it doesn't matter." You swallowed hard, eyes glistening with sorrow. "I know this isn't real. I know we're in your genjutsu. Please, just let me finish. Don't let their deaths be in vain."
A pang of guilt twisted in Itachi's chest, making his next words sting bitterly upon his tongue. "I can't."
"Please, Itachi," you begged in a crackling rasp. "Don't save me. I don't deserve to be saved."
Itachi gazed at you sadly as your pleading eyes met his. "Forgive me," he whispered ruefully, tucking a bit of hair behind your ear, "but I already did."
Your blood ran cold as the truth struck you like lightning. This was reality. There had been no time-altering Tsukuyomi. There was no hope that you could still right your wrongs in a final act of self-sacrifice. "N-no… it has to be–"
With a somber smile, Itachi grasped your chin again, forcing himself to face the resentment staining and contorting your teary face as his thumb brushed across your trembling cheek. His hypnotic, patterned irises began to spiral, leaving cracks and fractures splintering through your memories, slowly chipping away at the events that he knew would have left you broken.
"It's alright. Everything is going to be alright."

Team 7 in: How they met
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Naruto: You literally fell out of the sky. Well, almost literally but Naruto says you fell straight out of the sky into his arms.
It was a quiet afternoon that your friends decided it would be a good idea to play hide and seek, you tried to hide on a roof, but just as you were about to climb up you slipped and fell into Naruto.
-You're an angel! - Naruto says with wide eyes and rosy cheeks.
To this day he says you're an angel.
﹏༻༺﹏
Sasuke: Who introduced you was Itachi, at first Sasuke proved to be a difficult little boy, that lasted five seconds, when you offered him little tomatoes, Sasuke knew that you were the love of his life from now on.
-You're going to marry me! - he almost shouts, his cheeks puffed out and rosy, a cute beak to top it off.
-No.- you laugh teasingly.
﹏༻༺﹏
Sakura: Ino was the one who introduced you, you are Ino's cousin, you came back to the village and Ino wanted to take a walk, you went to the center of the village, when Ino saw Sakura she went to bother the pink one, you quickly intervened. Ino didn't like it but Sakura was silly that you did it.
-Let's be a trio of best friends! - you say pulling your cousin and Sakura.
ᥬ᭄᭄
Kakashi: Kurenai was the one who introduced you, Kakashi had already heard about you, your sweet and delicate appearance hid how deadly you really are. Kakashi had already created many stories in mind, seeing you in person only made him desire you that much more.

hot things about Itachi's mannerisms that he does without realising?
Anon, you want me to die? Okay okay. Mostly SFW, a lot of simping going on. I’ve got a few, the last one is especially cute 🥰
Tumblr media
- This man has no idea of the power his voice holds. His tone is always mellow and he chooses his words carefully, but that rich cadence and deep voice is just- I just know he got all the bitches (i am bitches) ready to kneel on the ground he walks upon
- Eye contact!!! He always makes everyone feel like they have his undivided attention. And his eyes are his biggest power, so he needs to keep them on everyone. But with the people he trusts, it’s just constant eye contact! This includes during sexy time, and it’s just-
- He sits like a mf king. This man was probably trying out intimidating poses before Sasuke got to the fight, and boy oh boy did he deliver! The easy stretch of his legs, the nonchalant hand resting on the cloak… look, he exudes power, and it’s hot and I don’t care
- His hands deserve a category of their own. Have you seen them??? The nail polish (slay), the long, slender fingers, the ring. I just know Itachi has an artist's hands. Pretty and elegant, with graceful, tapered fingers and veiny back of the hand (kill me I am a slut for hands)
- He likes cats (hot and very valid)
- His little smirk (I am deceased). He doesn’t show emotions often, but that little smug smirk is just-
- He loves to tease people. I don’t know what it is, but I just know deep down, he’s got sarcasm for days and he loves to use it
- I have this headcanon that when Itachi’s interested/curious, he tilts his head a little. I don’t know if I’m weird for classifying this as hot, but listen, it looks like a feline stalking a prey. It’s valid, and that’s that.
- He has manners. You know how he knocked before trying to kidnap Naruto? How he uses honorifics even with Kakashi, before he puts him in a coma? Manners.
- He can cook
- His hair. It’s not a mannerism, but the girls that get it, get it.
- He is observant: he sees it all and he notices when something’s not right
- He has brains for days. Not only is he blessed with impossibly good looks, he is also incredibly smart. I mean, what more could you want?
- Despite being a prodigy, smart and beautiful, Itachi is not going to rub it in people’s faces. He knows he’s powerful, but he never underestimates anyone
- Wearing a necklace. I don’t know what it is, but jewellery on him looks stunning
- In a modern AU, he definitely would open a car door for you
- He would walk with his hand resting on the small of your back (tell me that’s not the hottest thing ever)
- Definitely rolls up his sleeves when he wears a shirt. And ofc he’s blessed with amazing forearms
- Drives with his hand on your thigh, or holds your hand and changes gear without letting go of it
- Is a malewife. He cooks, he cleans, he does it all
- Is secretly possessive
- This man is such a giver. He’s constantly thinking of your pleasure during sex
- holds eye contact with you when you two are having sex
- Would be the type to tip your chin with his finger to kiss you
- chokes you against a wall 🥰🥰🥰

Love, Lust & Him —
Itachi x Reader
— In which the physical bond between you and Itachi only deepens the longer you're apart. —
a/n: I'm feeling nostalgic, I miss my Naruto era ;(
(Not proofread !!)
Tumblr media
It had been so very long since the last time you laid eyes on that crimson, gem-like gaze of his. Nostalgia enveloped your insides as his charcoal locks, which were now grown out longer than you'd last remembered, framed his pale, almost sickly appearance. The man was called many names, a murderer, a threat, a prodigy. However when you stand before him now, watching his cold expression morph into a look of longing, a look of love, the constant pain of distance, many sleepless nights and wondering if he was still alive seem utterly in the past. Itachi Uchiha wasn't just any Shinobi, he was your Shinobi.
"Hi love, It's been a while." His arms wrap so perfectly around your body, almost like their sole purpose was to hold you in them.
"It's been too long Itachi." You reply in a mellow tone, taking in his warm, earthy scent that always felt like home. Most people would bolt in fear at the sight of the Uchiha, but not you, you clung onto him as though he may slip away again if you let go.
“I missed you more than I can put into words." You sighed, as he intertwined his long fingers within your hair.
"You can show me in another way you know?" A hint of tease emerged from his delicate smile. After so much time apart, all you wanted was to feel him more than just surface level, to see the most vulnerable parts of such a powerful man, a man who was seemingly soul-tied to you. Gently pushing the front strands of his hair back onto his ear, you leaned in, breath hitching slightly before meeting his soft, cushion like lips. His body leaned into yours, tracing the silhouette of your hips, with a touch so soft like he was afraid to break you.
Stepping closer towards the bed, you found yourself light headed from the way Itachi's lips grazed over your neck, trailing lower and lower before pausing just before your breasts. "Are you sure about this love?" You knew that if you wanted to stop, he would. However you couldn't help but grin at his unsuccessful attempt at hiding the neediness in his eyes.
"If not with you then who else?" You hushed beside his ear before guiding him on top of you, spreading your legs in order to wrap around his defined waist. Itachi’s breath quivered at your touch against his large, clothed bulge. As his head dropped onto the crook of your neck, you began fiddling with the helm of his shirt, capturing glimpses of his bare chest.
“I’m all yours, do with me as you please.” He almost pleaded once he was left in nothing but his boxers, and you in a pair of underwear. In response, you laced his fingers and placed them on your plush breasts, allowing him to firmly grope you. A moan slipped past your lips as he trailed sloppy kisses down your abdomen. Pealing off the last piece of clothing from your body, two of Itachi’s icy fingers inserted into your already dripping cunt. They were long, and stretched you out as he pumped your walls, observing your features when he curled them or fastened the pace.
The back of your hand strived to cover up the unholy noises which you failed to contain, when all of a sudden the sensation of the Uchiha’s tongue pulsating through your sex hazed you much, much further. “Itachi.. if you continue like this I’ll..” Your words slurred, and as if without conscious thought, your hands passed though your legs and into the dark locks of your beloved. His mouth trailed like clockwork when you felt the rush of blissful climax engulf your body.
Itachi watched as your chest rose and fell with the heavy panting that turned him on more than he’d like to admit. Once you’d reached your senses, the intense yearning for more pulsated through you. Taking the initiative, you crawled onto his lap, straddling him with your bare sex before you felt the sheer size of his cock poking beneath you. Rubbing your cunt back and forth, the soft grunts emerging for Itachi’s flushed face gave you the courage to pull down his boxers. “Are you sure it’ll fit?” You hesitated.
“We’ll make it work love.” Itachi smiled ever so sweetly, before placing you on your back and aligning himself at your entrance. As he pushed in, you gasped at how your walls filled to the brim with his length. “You’re doing so well sweetheart,” he connected his lips against yours, taking in each whimper from the kiss. Once he pulled away with beads of sweat dripping down his body, the sight of his bulge poking at your stomach left you astounded.
The shinobi groaned in pleasure as his hips developed rhythm, pulling in and out with each thrust. Your arms reached for his back, nails digging into his flesh whenever you felt him go in particularly deep. This was the sight you craved for more than anything. To feel Itachi all around you, to have every inch touched by him and him only. His lashes fluttered in your direction, revealing an expression that was filled with so much emotion, yet so little comprehension. His base slammed into you repeatedly until you let out moans of utter satisfaction.
Itachi’s pace faltered once he reached his peak, his eyelids lowered and his groans turn into jagged breaths. The Uchiha’s bare frame laid on top of yours, allowing you to enjoy the comfortable silence whilst you spent time entangled within one another for perhaps the last time. On the inside, you began appreciating how smooth his skin was, the number moles plastered across his face, and even the dusty pink shade of his lips.
For a moment, the still atmosphere was broken when Itachi cupped the side of your face, reaching for your lips once more as he spoke up in a tone laced with nothing but affection and heartache. “Thank you.. for loving me.”

How I would fix Itachi Uchiha
Feel free to request this for other characters or ask worldbuilding questions.
Tumblr media
Have him not torture Sasuke in his Tsukuyomi. Seeing Itachi alone would be so retraumatizing to Sasuke to send him into a Panic attack.
Show him STRUGGLING. Even if it’s just a smidge.
Show the weight of his “decision” on his shoulders. Even pre reveal.
Put emphasis on the manipulation from Konoha and the root organization and how he didn’t actually have a choice in the slightest.
Give us more insight on his illness and what he did to fight it.
Make him REGRET what he did. At the very latest after he gets reanimated by Kabuto.
Show us his wants, needs and dreams. What lead him to make the decision that he ended up making?
Point out the flaws in his thinking and flesh it out: He thought that the only way to make it in the shinobi world is to become incredibly strong so others are too afraid to fight you.
Itachi is a tragic character, let’s write him like one.
Feel free to use these in headcanons, fics, etc. Tag or dm me so I can read em!

How would Itachi react if reader is wearing her guy bestfriends shirt?!? Make an excuse for why she wore that lmao
WC — 305
TYPE — Fem!reader
NOTES — this one might be a little ooc, but a bit silly towards the end. i like writing for the uchihas with the fact that we know they would be done with us when we do stuff like this, let's be real here 💀 but i hope you enjoy!

I’ve mentioned before that ALL of the Uchiha men have some possessive tendencies, right?
Well… there’s no way Itachi would just let you wear someone else’s t-shirt, let alone a guy he barely knows.
At first, he wouldn’t even notice you were wearing a shirt that doesn’t belong to you nor him.
But after a second look at you, it’d come to mind that wow that is not a familiar shirt.
Be expecting a game of 20 questions just about where the shirt came from and who you got it from.
When he hears you say it’s from one of your guy friends, Itachi will give you a strange look like what do you mean?
He has offered you his entire closet to pick and choose what to wear whenever you felt like it, but here you were standing in a random man’s shirt.
The actual reason you were wearing your friend’s t-shirt was because you had spilled your drink all over yourself when you were out with your friend.
So, he offered his shirt to you, and of course, he went the rest of the time with a jacket on over his undershirt.
But that’s just not enough of a reason to be excusable, so Itachi rushed to his closet to grab one of his t-shirts, and he pleaded with you to change into it.
After much arguing about the issue, you changed into his t-shirt, and he was all smiley after that.
You, on the other hand, now have to explain to your friend how his shirt ended up being ripped to shreds, trying to hide the fact that Itachi let the house cat use it as a toy.
Even the house cat wondered who’s scent was on that t-shirt, so Itachi was definitely pleased to see the cat was on his side.

kakashi
ahhh yes lord sixth,, has shinobi watching you secretly because he was suspicious and that's how he heard you were seen walking in your house with a guy
"who is he? tell me and i won't have to get angry, love"
locks you in his office until you tell him who the guy was
gets angrier when you stay quiet
"do you need to be fucked to remember who you belong to?",, "kakashi we broke up",, "don't care, you're begging for a punishment"
chokes you against a wall while smirking
forces you to turn around so he can slap your ass,, "only i can make your ass this red"
fucks you from behind very roughly, pressing his chest against your back
"this pussy is mine" he'd say while you're screaming his name
"that's right, who's fucking you so good? say it"
cums inside you and claims that he marked you by doing so
itachi
sees you with another guy while he's on a mission and doesn't bring it up til a few days after because he overthinks
"who was that? don't lie angel"
"i don't care if you're over me, i'm not over you"
turns you on just because you won't tell him anything and he knows you'll give in if he starts talking to you in that voice
"have you forgotten the way my cock used to sit so perfectly in you?"
"have you forgotten how good i used to fuck you angel?"
has a long, sensual make out sesh with you before fucking you in missionary, making eye contact most of the time
slow and hard thrusts so he can hear every moan you make from each thrust, relishing in what he missed since you two broke up
"fuck- don't want you cumming on anybody else's cock, okay?"
eats you out after and makes you cum hard again. his end goal is for you to leave wanting more so you'll forget about that other guy
madara
if it's a random boy you're seen with, he'll just talk down to you and fuck you so you don't forget how good his dick is
if you're seen around any senjus, PRAY AND RUN
asks you so many questions and gets pissed off when you don't answer them
"is it hashirama? don't fucking tell me it's tobirama"
grabs your jaw tightly and looks into your eyes, "have you forgotten who the fuck i am?"
roughly pushes you down on your knees and pulls his cock out to throat fuck you
he would throat fuck you til tears are running down your cheeks and you're begging him to stop
fucks you hard after in missionary, telling you how much of a slut you are and how he doesn't want anybody eles to use you like this
"little attention seeking whore getting what she deserves"
he bites you and gives you hickeys during sex so he can admire them after. also so you can remember that you're his

One of my favorite Naruto tropes is literally the interaction between Kakashi and the Uchiha Clan after Obito give him his eye.
Like literally the « mariage thing » when a Uchiha give their eye to a non-Uchiha.
Sadly there aren’t many stories about that
(Of course his complete integration into the clan as if he was always a member and the discovery of this marriage by Obito is a plus)
Don’t hesitate to write about it really I will read it
