Sometimes I think about L'manburg and just mentally have to deal with the fact that violence wasn't even just the best option there; it was the only option. Because L'manburg was a country built on nationalism and propaganda, and Tubbo only amplified that in how he chose to run it. Because L'manburg was not only a main contributor in the cycle of violence, it also consistently dragged people into the cycle who either had not previously been apart of it or had attempted to escape it. L'manburg was run by power-hungry people who either had preconceived notions of anarchy that would effect how they saw anyone giving them a peaceful resolution that involved losing any form of political power (Tubbo, Fundy), or who were so focused on gaining and cementing political power through any means necessary that they could never agree with anarchy as a political theory be because it directly opposes any sort of hierarchical power, which is something they want (Quackity).

If L'manburg had remained on the server in any capacity, even just as buildings or a commune, it would have continued to harm people as a symbol of nationalism and obtaining power through any means necessary, due to its whitewashed* history. This empowers people like Quackity, who is currently attempting a sociopolitical takeover anyway — through Capitalism instead of nationalism this time — Total destruction was kinda the best way to go, imo.

*whitewashing as in "to deliberately conceal unpleasant or incriminating facts about something or someone"
