been thinking about the new pkmn legends taking place in kalos (especially in lumiose which btw brought so much memories of that place. its a maze. and i just remembered how i used the outer ring just so ik where im going into the inners of the city itself 😭)

the more i also had been thinking about risa darrell, my pkmn oc i had since pkmn xy came out. formerly lorissa but now they're Risa, and if i had keep playing as them to this day, they would be a married former champion who takes pokemon racing with tyrant their tyrantrum along with their wife- helga who is a photographer journalist. yes helga doesn't change her name other than, slapping galar as her birth place wheezes

anyway. thinking about risa's family actually, 'cause afaik risa moved to kalos was bc its where risa's mom's family lives in. the only reason for this was bc the old lorissa design i had? i gave that design to risa's mom which had made risa... uhhh their dad is kanto-hoenian and her mom's kalosian but they met and lived in sinnoh which is where risa had met helga there as kids but then moved away to kalos when risa's dad get a job transfer.

therefore. i guess. risa's grandma? grandparent? great-grandparent? could potentially had involved in helping with the city. who knows-

I was planning to build new desktop this fall, but seeing that the winter half year practically chains me to bed making me incapable of sitting up I took some of my savings to get a laptop so I can have it in bed for drawing, writing etc at least. And so I'll save back up the coming months and build it once spring arrives instead (hopefully component prices has gone down then too)

All that to say I can only eat my hands as I catch glimpses of dawntrail news after having been ffxiv-less since july last year. my abstinence is out the roof

#that being said i am admittedly a little bit nervous about returning now that its been so long #i played without break from 2014 til 2020 and then its been on an off between 2020 and 2022 #and then since then i havent had the means to play #like on one hand i dont dare looking too much into ffxiv happenings cause my abstinence grows worse #and on the other i worry that ill feel weird coming back #because returning from past breaks have felt weird #which admittedly might be because i dont allow myself to take my time and enjoy things but rather rush to catch up #but whenever i can play im just gonna take all effort possible to not rush and potentially even do things on my own #rather than feel stressed by not slowing down others #im glad for the increased single player options tbh #at the same time the break has done me good cause i feel like im further away from making those mistakes #and having a lot to catch up with before being up to date might be good for me #finding hobbies outside ffxiv has done me good too #my relationship to it wasnt the healthiest as it was my sole lifeline during horrific and traumatic years #but now ive been able to play tons of other games again and read books and draw more and write more than ever #and done more irl things again even finishing one type of education #so honestly? i think itll be fine #i dont have to feel bad over my relationship with the game evolving into a different form #i still love it immensely and its had a profound impact on my life as a whole #both in terms of friends and creativity and also significant other #anyway that got longer and rantier and more personal than i first intended #peace signs and sparkles

#i put it bc i had 2 um. 4 some reason when i put pickup at the restaurant i was sitting at it changed it back to the airport #so i saw this sign for an italian restaurant across the street and i was like ok slay ill just say im there and then put in the notes Hey #im avtually at the diner across the street #but. the italian restaurant was actually on the other side of that builfing and they judt had like. a little alleyway/outdoor seating zone #where they had that sign. so i jogged iver there and then didnt see the car bc there were 2 of the car that was supposed 2 be picking #ne up . abd one of them had 2 ppl in it but i walked to the back door and then i was like No #so i ran away . and then it was like hey yr drivers gonna leave and i was like Sry Sry sry and i looked again and saw it and got in and i #felt bad #BUT asode from that super fun day :]] i went to da little cafe i was looking at i got a london fog and a bacon breakfast sandwich and a #salted caramel candy all were pretty good... n then library this is famous it was fun.. i worked on the puzzle for the last 30 minutes i #was there :] very fun... AND i got a book ive been meaning 2 read and put 2 others on hold... all by miss ask a mortician #ill be honest the one i got is smoke gets in yr eyes and im not loving the writing style so far ... but its also her first book and is from #like 2014. and im only a tiny bit into it #but yas. im rly excited for will my cat eat my eyeballs... #the library is a tinyyy bit disappointing where its part of like. a library system? they all share books #so no one library has a ton of books lol. ill just have 2 remember to put books on hold when i want to read them so that theyll send them #over... yk. #its not super weird that it doesnt have a ton of books or anything yk. there r legit 8 other libraries that it shares the collection with #and its fun 2 do library road trip kjnd of thang.. me and . did that once :] it was a lot of fun #even tho i ended up reading like. not even half of the books i got... #but the books i did read were sooo good one of them was the down days Which i absolutely loved #abd i started reading a different one abt like a vampire virus (idk why i checked out 2 entirely seperate books abt fictional pandemics. As #if i havent had enough of pandemics LOL.) and that one was rly cool what i read of it.. i didnt finish it tho im not sure i even got half #in.. i rly liked what i did read of it tho #but. fr down days was so good it makes up 4 all the ones i didnt read. #woes of emily #i just watched wwdits 2014 and it cured me #i used to watch movies where nothing happens A Lot #because i used to feel a very specific brand of weird and disconnected that i thankfully dont really experience anymore #i think that. movies where things happen but the plot is super contained #are a worthy off shoot too #like. movies where the characters all come together. the plot of the movie happens but its over the course of like. a week #and then all the characters leave and no one ever talks about it again
