So I’ve been Thonkin™️

I’ve been thinking over and over about writing a fic where batman gets like. suuuper injured. life threateningly injured. and a recently formed JL takes him back to the watchtower, trying to patch him up.

Meanwhile Alfred has access to the cameras and mics on the watchtower because, batcave, and he sees just how bad it is, and is just BESIDE himself. Barely restraining himself when, then, he hears a few league members not immediately tending to anything musing about who this mysterious “alfie” is that bats kept asking for as he was passing in and out of consciousness. And Alfred is just like. Okay that’s it my boy needs me.

Zetas his ass up to the watchtower, bullies the other members into letting him get into the medbay, and assists with patching batman up. Everybody is confused.

And OF COURSE he sternly states (or snarls, not sure how Unhinged With Worry I want him to be for this) “that is MY SON in there!” as he’s pushing his way into the medbay, leaving the league BAFFLED at this. Like….. batman’s…. dad?????….. like.

I love batfamily meets the justice league but I also want more ALFRED meets the justice league. Especially in the context of Overprotective Father With An Idiot Son Whom He Is Very Proud Of!

And of course, this is far before anybody knows batman’s identity. So now all they know about batman is 1: he claims to be human 2: he knows how to destroy most living creatures and 3: his dad alfie is really scary (maybe scarier than batman himself)

i am very sorry for the delay, i posted that thing about lilia and silver like a month ago and am just posting it now. blame school and such but here we go!!

Lilia tried to rock the crying baby again for what felt like the hundredth time. When he had picked up the small boy in the woods he figured it would be easy, a cinch for a skilled mage and commander like him. Oh how wrong he was. Silver´s been crying all night, impossibly big lungs on such a small child. He racked his brain on how to make this tiny human calm down. Then he remembered a poem, or song he heard long ago, as part of a story of a cursed princess, ward to the thorn fairy. He began to sing it, not sure what else to do at this point

No, no that wasn't right. Well it was, but not right for this small child. He looked at Silver who had stopped crying for a moment but was making one of those scrunched faces that imply he's just getting his second wind. Enough time to scan Silvers face, he thought a moment and sang

 Silver stops crying, drinking in Lilias tired voice and peers at him through tear rimmed eyes, and ruddy cheeks, but at least he's not crying anymore. This encourages Lilia to keep going. He subtly reaches for the bottle he's been trying to get Silver to drink for at least an hour. Fitting it in Silvers mouth he continues

¨one thing, i wish for you

A conscious clear, and heart that's true¨ he thought of how he found Silver, the blood on his hands from the war, and sincerely hoped this sweet moonbeam never had to do such things. That this boy would find other ways to do things, but always  be on the side of kindness and truth

To protect those in need you'll be there to take the stand¨

He internally cringed at how awkward that last line was but it didn't seem to matter to Silver who was soothed by the song and finally drinking his bottle. He fell asleep, such a contrast to a half hour earlier. Lilia sighs in relief and puts him down in the cradle he had (stolen) found. Some bat friends of his decided to take up residence hanging from the railing of the cradle, promising to watch him while Lilia went to get more wood for the fireplace. It took him little time to do so with his fairy strength and he returned to the cottage he had… repurposed after the original owners got caught up in the war. Silver was still asleep, of course he was, all that crying and hollering must have taken a lot of energy. Lilia stoked the fire and lifted Silver into his lap again as he reclined on the bed, tired as well. The last thing he thought before falling asleep himself was, it's certainly not easy like he thought but he is even more determined than before to make it work
