Animes

Mo Dao Zu Shi

Finished it. Read the novel. Checking out the Cdrama (The Untamed). Obsessed. Watch it, it’s worth it.

Currently watching season two! Jing Ling is so precious and all the chibis are SO CUTE!

Dororo

In progress (~episode 20) - Love it so far! Excited to see where it goes!

Update: Dororo was always precious but I just appreciate this child more and more as the episodes continue. I really enjoyed the lighter episode with the opposite village and the swordsmaster. Also, I am glad that Itachi finally died... but tbh I can’t hate him. Dororo is soo forgiving, my precious child.

Edit: Completed. Enjoyed the story and the way that it was wrapped up.

My Roommate is a Cat

Completed - Loved it! Super cute, fluffy and touching. Fun to watch! Really enjoyed the show and REALLY want more! Please make a season 2!!

Fruits Basket 2019

It’s definitely doing its job of hitting the heartstrings true to Fruits Basket lore (I loved the manga). That opening (1) tho is so depressing really setting the mood for the show I guess... I’m excited for more and aware of the pain that is yet to come. But I am excited (and hopeful) to see them do justice to the plot this time. Update: s1 is almost over and I really enjoyed it!

One Punch Man

Loved it!! Finished season one! It was way too short... Will watch season two when all the episodes come out! I actually found the show to have a lot of parallels with The Disastrous Life of Saiki which could be the reason that I enjoyed it so much. I really don’t know how all the fans who watched it when it was first released could have waited so long for season two.

Ruroni Kenshin

Randomly started it cuz I was planning on watching it for a while and it was on Netflix so I thought - why not. Liking it so far but I haven’t gotten very far yet so it’s hard to form an opinion atm.

Dramas

Bad Guys

Completed - Good Binge.

It was very addicting, very interesting premise that captured my attention initially. It’s a good binge, but around episode 10 the show, the show sort of fizzled out for me. The hitman’s storyline (Jung woo) was a bit too melodramatic for my taste and was a bit off-putting, however I absolutely loved the psychopath’s story. That definitely kept me hooked throughout. One huge plus of this show is the action, and it is a lot of fun to watch if you don’t think about the show too much.

Gibo to Musume no Blues

Completed - Loved it! I’d highly recommend it!

This show was so adorable and so sweet and fun to watch from start to finish. I really enjoyed this slice of life and the warm stepmother and stepdaughter relationship throughout the show. It was very heartwarming to watch. I loved how all the characters were treated with respect and didn’t seem like hollow caricatures, I liked the relationships portrayed in the show and the general warmth that this show had throughout.

I am still not over what happened to Ryoichi :( , but I can say that I absolutely loved every single character in this show. The baker definitely grew on me more and more throughout the later half of the show and he became very lovable. Overall, this was a great drama that I am glad I checked out!

Children of Nobody/ Red Moon Blue Sun

Completed - Loved it! 15/10 would recommend!

This drama was really really gripping. I like how the story didn’t feel very formulaic, and I admit I was quite unsure what was going on in the first 2 or so episodes. But once the plot line was set in motion, I was along for the ride. One huge reason for that is probably the main character Cha Woo Kyung, she won me over very quickly and her backstory was very intriguing. I also really like Yi Kyung’s character as well as his team, though it did take me a while to warm up to him. The children all did a phenomenal job as well - I especially like Ha Na and Si Wan’s acting.Si Wan is another huge factor that kept me watching, the child actor did a great job!

One thing I definitely appreciated with this show was how morally grey all the characters were, it made them more relatable. If I were to compare it to similar mystery/crime kdrama’s I’ve seen, I think so far this would rank the highest - the plot was engaging, the characters were interesting, there was absolutely ZERO focus on developing a romantic relationship and the topic - abuse (child primarily) was handled well.

Her Private Life

Really loving Ryan Gold so far!! He’s actually super considerate and kind? Love it! Quite like the female lead as well. Love her relationship with her best friend, they are absolutely adorable! Not too happy about what I heard about the Eun Gi thing where they did the Reply staple of making the viewers assume that he’s her brother only to find out he’s interested in her romantically and that they aren’t blood-related... why is this trope so popular? This reminds me a lot so far of Reply 1997.

Update: show is moving on in a very cliche way... extremely predictable so far. Will maybe stick w it bc I love Ryan’s character and the couple are adorable. TBH I didn’t start this for the plot. Another gripe that I have is just why do kdramas always do the thing where the main couple are meant to be and met during their childhood? I don’t get why that’s so popular... But I do respect the fact that Ryan’s real mom did not abandon him and that arc was resolved quickly.

Overall, it was better than a lot of other dramas in this genre and it was done with much less unnecessary drama. I appreciated how the side characters were handled and liked that they were given time to have their own sub-plots. A decent show all in all.

The Fiery Priest

Loved it! I like the mix of the action and comedy that was showcased in the show. I found this show to be very similar in the plot structure, comedy (to an extent) and characterizations to Chief Kim so I enjoyed the show a lot and had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the show. It’s a fun show that keeps you hooked for more, and like Chief Kim don’t expect any romance between characters to really develop.

Angel’s Last Mission: Love

Shin Hye Sun is just gorgeous, omg. She’s also a really good actress. I really liked seeing her in this role coming out of watching Still 17 to see the sheer difference in personality. I am enjoying the contrast. Also, I like her chemistry with Myungsoo. I don’t care for the second lead nor can I bring myself to empathize with him. I also am somewhat disappointed with her family sub-plot because so far it seems pretty cliche so I’m hoping for a plot twist or two.

DNF.

Project S The Series: Spike

I FINALLY finished it! Really loved it. Great acting, loved the pace of the show and how realistic it felt. I really liked watching the team come together and grow together. The few female characters were a delight - Jern is so lovable and adorable. Bright is very sweet and does a lot for the team. Puen’s relationship with the entire team was interesting to see - his strong bond with Singha and now Than, his relationship with Jern and ofc his friends. Than’s relationship with his dad was also portrayed realistically right til the end. It’s a good watch, and I’ll definitely re-watch the series.

Ao to Boku

So addicting, waiting for the last episode to be subbed. Please get subbed!

Update: it was subbed! Finished it! Enjoyed the drama overall. A nice mystery/friendship/slice-of-life one. Be warned that although there is a bit of mystery it is mainly a slice-of-life/friendship drama.

The Untamed

I enjoyed it overall (tho I did end up skipping over some episodes). I thought that it was a faithful adaptation to the novel considering the censorship issues. I love how they took out a lot of the explicit gay but still somehow made parts of the show gayer. Also I LOVE fairy. Fairy is an adorable fluffball that owns my heart <3.

DNF - He is Psychometric

Melo Suits Me/ Be Melodramatic

So... they really made one of the cutest love stories tragic huh. I’m really enjoying the show so far, I love the friendship between the main 4 leads. I am interested about the industry and I like the balance that the drama has with its humour, friendship, love and slice-of-life elements. I really like the actress and her manager couple they are so cute! I kind of wish I have more cute mother-son moments with the kid so hopefully in a future episode.

Update: Finished it! Liked the ending overall, had one minor qualm. I really liked the Director (Yeller) that was introduced. He was an unexpected delight and I love his dynamic with Eun Jung. I did like that they did end up subverting a romantic relationship and left it platonic. That was unexpected.

T.v. shows

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Season 6 - Finally finished it! Lot of fun, and enjoyed watching yet another season of the show. I really enjoyed their Cinco de Mayo heist this year and thought that was a lot of fun. I personally didn’t really feel Gina’s absence too much though her going away words were cute near the beginning of the season.

Broadchurch

Completed - Completely binged season 3! I love this show!

I forgot how beautiful the cinematography in the show was! Their little village is gorgeous. It’s a bit jarring to watch it after a year or so because my memory of season 2 of Broadchurch was quite hazy. Nevertheless, I absolutely love this show. This season was very different from the previous ones, and it had a good build up but the final reveal of the culprit was quite... predictable. However, there was a twist that came with the reveal that came completely out of the blue. I liked the way Alec/D.I Hardy and Ellie handled the issue at hand and set an example of how cases of rape should be handled within the police force. It was also really nice to see Beth’s growth, the vicar and what Maggie were up to! I also enjoyed seeing Alec and his daughter’s relationship grow. Too bad its cancelled... here’s hoping that one day they’ll renew it.

Stranger Things season 3

I personally liked it a lot more than season two because I felt that it had more growth from the characters. I liked Eleven’s character growth and how the dynamic of the relationships changed and seeing the kids grow up. But, I’m definitely getting a bit tired of this show... because although I did enjoy this season, I still feel that in a way it was redundant.

Derry Girls s2

I loved it! So funny. So adorable. Love the characters and the ridiculous situations that they put themselves in (or are put in). Sister Michael is still my fave, her lines are always pure gold.

Anne with an E season 3

Trying to keep track of it as it is airing on CBC. I missed the second episode :( But I watched episode 3 and the foreshadowing for the residential schools omg

TVD 2x20 Review

1. “No, Bonnie can’t break the curse without dying.” “I’ll write her a great eulogy!” I won’t lie, I did like Ian’s delivery here but also, Elena’s “It’s not an option, Damon.” is like, you’re like super chill with how much he wants to kill your best friend. Legitimately, there should be a moment where she snaps and is like OK ENOUGH or he shouldn’t be a part of the conversation at all. It’s weird that they’re even letting him have a say about this. I get why Stefan would because as he said, his love for Elena is what keeps him protecting her and he wants all the protection for Elena he can get and he keeps Damon in his lane when it comes to Bonnie, but Elena should be a lot more outraged than she is.

2. So guys, if Elijah has an elixir made by witches that is supposed to bring Elena back to life, maybe have Bonnie look at the elixir?

3. “The ring only works on humans, the doppelganger is a supernatural occurrence...” but Elena is human, though, she is a human doppelganger, that’s bad dialogue, it should just be “The ring only works on non-supernatural humans.”

4. "What do you want me to do, Damon, Elena made her choice!” He wants you to disregard it and put your own feelings above hers, Stefan.

5. Matt and Caroline were super cute. Seriously.

6. “She’s not the same, she’s a vampire.” “At this point, I don’t even know what that means”. Exactly, though. They’re SO bad at differentiating.

7. “Damon is the problem, not Caroline. We should focus on him.” I mean seriously, though. Killing Damon would legit solve so many problems.

8. It also makes no sense that Elena would go upstairs to find Damon. HE KILLED YOUR BROTHER AFTER TRYING TO FORCE HIMSELF ON YOU. How much time has gone by since then? A month? Two? And you’re just OK?

9. Nina legit looks super young in comparison to Ian.

10. “I can’t lose you.” “You won’t.” He should though.

11. And then he force feeds you his blood. Kind of like how you said “I care about you” and then he killed Jeremy because it wasn’t exactly what he wanted. When things don’t go his way, he enacts violence on Elena through violation and we just NEVER talk about it.

12. This fight between Damon and Stefan is so telling because Stefan is winning and Damon is a little bitch about it and STABS him. Also, legitimately, they’re two vampires fighting, there should be cracked walls and floors from all the force.

13. I also love how focused on each other Stefan and Elena are. Like Elena’s just been forced to drink vampire blood but Stefan has a stab wound so she’s focused on comforting him and getting him better, Stefan is in a lot of physical pain but Elena’s been forced to drink vampire blood so he’s focused on apologizing for what happened to her.

14. Oooooh quasi-topless Stefan scene. Also, super subtle but cute that Elena’s hand is on his leg.

15. Jenna and Alaric, oh how I do not care.

16. Also Stefan always gets Elena to do a little smile.

17. Aw, charged glances between Tyler and Caroline. Great chemistry.

18. “I screwed up.” Oh, Damon, tattoo it on your forehead.

19. Joseph was super skinny.

20. “Thanks for the loner, mate.” LMAO. What a dickish thing to say to the dude whose body you possessed.

21. I love how DE fans/Damon fans try to say that Damon saved Tyler’s life this episode and therefore that shows growth when actually what happened was that he wanted to take “the werewolf” out of the equation for the ritual to postpone it so the vampire blood could pass out of Elena’s system and she wouldn’t spend an eternity hating him.

22. See, this is how you challenge someone. Stefan doesn’t push Elena to talk but he gives her the space and the time by climbing up a waterfall, he makes her feel safe but he also pushes her to be vulnerable through the climb itself.

23. I don’t get this. Damon advances on Katherine and she backs away like “hey, hey, hey” why though, you’re not weakened, you’re just compelled by Klaus so you could easily defend yourself against Damon, he is a BABY vampire. It’s always so transparent when the writers try to make someone seem more menacing and/or powerful than the narrative states they are.

24. “Those witches vervained me.” Caroline, should you not be drinking vervain everyday? Being a vampire in this town?

25. “Tyler, you shouldn’t have come back here.” No shit, Caroline, he’s chained up across from you.

26. “What’s the worst part of becoming a vampire?” “You know the worst.” “Besides from the blood.” But Damon taught Elena the worst parts of being a vampire tho.

27. Klaus keeping Katherine around makes no sense.

28. Klaus, you’re not holding the coffee mug but its handle so it doesn’t look as menacing as it should.

29. Why wouldn’t the witch just stake Damon? Lol.

30. Damon, was it really necessary to knock Matt unconscious?

31. “But our future, our lives together...” legit, Elena did think about a future with Stefan, she just didn’t have everything mapped out at 17 which is understandable and realistic. Her awareness of that would be more realistic if they made her breakdown more realistic and not related specifically to the possibility of her becoming a vampire and about the entire situation in general.

32. Yeah, Nina’s crying is acceptable.

33. LOL OK, let me see if I got this straight, the sun was up when Damon is in the cellar rescuing Caroline and Tyler and he stops and tells Tyler “don’t make me regret this.” Cut to Elena and Stefan and the sun is setting during their talk. Cut back to Damon and the others and they’re JUST getting out of the tomb and it’s night with a full moon??? CONVENIENT. How fucking LONG does it take to get out of the tomb?

34. It also doesn’t make sense for everyone to go help Tyler chain himself up. Matt is a human, Caroline should’ve taken him home or Damon should’ve taken him home.

35. Aww, the Stelena love cue playing during their goodbye scene.

36. And still a much more moving goodbye than the Steroline goodbye in 8x16.

37. I also love that Elena smiles when Stefan says he loves her despite going to her “death”.

38. “I’ll take care of it.” Will you, though?

39. It also makes no sense that they all watch Tyler transition, they could’ve run, it’s not insensitive, he could kill them. They just wanted Damon to get bit.

40. “What is this, Damon?” “A werewolf bite.” DUN DUN DUN.

Bellsprout...

It.. So fragile...

Thos feets, so little! Its so thin! Its a literal lil noodle! It sways in the wind so much when it walks, its feet dont even move like feet but more like leeches which are my Favourite Worm for how dumb their mannerisms are. Seriously they go up and balance on their tail and periscope around and then they streeeetch and somersault to reach stuff! Theyre like actual living slinkies except they go up the stairs too! Bellsprout's rooty weirdness has that same kind of animation in its walk cycle, but the bizarre speculative idea of a monster made of like four worms all tied to another worm for a torso?? Its just so goofy how itll streeeeetch out the one wiggle foot and periscope it around too even tho it doesnt have eyes so its more like i guess its just very uncertain balancing on its squiggles and uses the roots on the end to detect whether the ground is stable? But then after the slow step of introspection before walking its just like PITCH FORWARD AND BECOME A BICYCLE! rapid flailing legs maximum speed like that basilisk lizard that runs on water! Its like its scared itll pitch forward if it ever stops? And then it does a little balance wiggle at the end and its just so cuuuuuute!

And AAAA its other animations when its not walking too! Its SO FRAGILE!! i want to protect you my baby!! It wiggles in such a cute battle dance cos it struggles to stand upright aaaa! Its head is so big and like all of its organs are in there NO WONDER its so wiggly flop! And its feets and hands are just so weak but it tries so hard!! It must be like a tiny bug landing on your hand or someone thwapping you with a singular taglitelle. And the leafs are even cuter cos theyre animated so..damn.. FRAGILE! everything is so soft in this art style aaaagh its killing me!! "I'm a powerful monster" nooo you are made of hugs and sunshine with the very barest shreds of physical form. But aaaa bellsprout is trying so hard it has so much personality like i wanna support it in being strong and scary and tell it someday it really does become badass and also able to fly for no easily explained reason! But THE LEAFS! OKAY THE LEAFS!! They're so much flatter and thinner than i expected? Like theyre just super generic primary coloured children's show doodles of leafs and the anime never really drew them with a good sense of 3D movement and width and stuff. I dunno if the models in sun and moon really showed a similar thing cos i never used a bellsprout? But i know this art style is just suuuuch a pretty fusion of the realistic shading in Go and the cartoon aesthetic of the main games that i'll wanna catch every pokemon for the first time ever! ITS LEAFS ARE LIKE TISSUE PAPER THIN SOMEONE PROTECT THIS CHILD!!! aaa and the wiggle animation is so cute cos they bend at angles in a sort of S-pattern like waving a fan in fancy style? Or i guess like how you might imagine wings to work if they only had one feather. Bellsprout is such an interesting well executed speculative biology idea and i never even realized before!!

And of course its BIG DOPEY FACE!! seriously its so cute how just adding two dots to a pitcher plant instantly makes it an awkward cute version of a horse head. THEY SOMEHIW MADE A NON SCARY SEVERED HORSE HEAD ON A STRING. I CAN NEVER UNSEE THIS NOW!! And then it has a mouth on the end of the nose and again this sounds terrifying when i put it in words but in actuality its FUCKIN AMAZING GOOFBALL SNOOTBEAN!! Just.. Lil dot eyes and really long face and then a big goofy happy smile at the end and aaaawwwwwww bebby

Oh man now im remembering why i didnt like bellsprout as a kid! I think it was entirely cos its evolutions changed to being just the head and then not having a mouth anymore even. And the grumpy badass eyes instead of bean! Tho as an adult i can appreciate that it must have taken a lot of effort to find a way to badassify such a goofy concept! And i feel proyd of bellsprout growing up to be the apex predator of the jungle who eats tigers n stuff. U go bebby u achieve u dream!! But still the wiggly noodle feets were SO CUTE and the bean eyes were SO CUTE and its a shame theyre the two things that go. Even if it does possibly make sense that the feets are so vestigal if its just a temporary stage before it learns how to fly. I mean birb feet are little? Tho they dont outright lose them when they grow up. Tho a birb that was just a limbless orb with a grumpy face like victreebell would actually be real cute! MAN IM GOING SO OFFTOPIC

Anyway in summary Let's Go has made me appreciate Bellsprout more and i am no longer sad that i cant get oddish in this version. Tho i still find it super cute in this art style TOO and i wish i could hug both the classic plant bebbys! Smoochie smorch u r my cat now and i will feed u all the snacks here is your scratching post and fluffy bed. OH YEAH THAT REMINDS ME did you guys see the drifloon that sleeps in a dog bed in sun and moon?? Its in ilima's house! I like to headcanon that maybe its the ghost of his mom's stoutland in the picture? Cos why would a family of normal type specialists have a drifloon? PRIME GAME THEORY YEAH! oh and the magnemite in a cat bed in one of the hotels i think?? Also Prime Bebby. Please consider all these good friends. And also imagine my super beloved bellsprout who shall be joining them soon! luke is a soft kind gay boy who wears a lot of flowing clothing and light fabric. even tho he grew up in a desert he still loves the sun - the heat of tattooine never bothered him, but the cold at night is the part he misses the least. he owns a lot of succulents and still gets cravings for blue milk straight from the bantha (pasteurized doesn’t make foamy hot cocoa and honestly he thinks the rest of the galaxy is missing out).

luke has literally fought battles for hot chocolate. like he’s 100% a pacifist to the best of his ability and doesn’t believe in causing undue harm, but if the galactic supply of full-fat bantha milk or space cocoa powder is threatened, murder is never off the table.

C // what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends

so. luke is pretty sensitive to force ghosts, just, like, in general. while it took yoda and obi-wan years to reach out deep enough into the force to feel qui-gon without the help of a deeply force-connected planet. Luke, however, needs like ten minutes of wikihow w/ yoda to completely see & hear obi. while im sure obi and yoda have stronger presences as ghosts bc theyve spent like 20 years just thinking about it really hard, anakin shows up with zero trouble after being disconnected from the living force for 20 years so like ??? clearly the observer has to be sensitive to the living force to pick up on ghosties.

(thats probably why leia doesn’t see them at the end of ep VI - she’s more gifted with the tactile force than luke is (pushing/pulling, thought influence, physical grace), but he’s super attuned to people/plants/animals/life)

so w/ that established - you don’t have to be super good at force stuff to be a good ghost, and if someone’s really sensitive they can see ghosts of even people who didn’t know force ghosts existed (anakin) -

luke is very, very aware of every life lost around him, especially those he’s responsible for. every child who died in the New Jedi Order at ben solo’s hand, every unfortunate end to a skirmish he got into as an adult - and, especially, the thousands of screaming voices of innocents on the Death Star. there were families with children on that artificial moon, and he can always hear them crying.

(basil u know this, i know this, its #upopular but when have i cared, my entire headcanon tag is unpopular onions.) he dissociates in crowds a lot and hates anything w/ a mixed grainy texture (dry sand = ok. wet sand = BAD). he loveslovesLOVES mechanics, like, Obviously, and will Talk About it For Hours. thankfully threepio and artoo are perfectly content to listen, & so is leia, especially if she’s had a rough day.

also APPARENTLY, and this is the last one (There are More - ptsd, general anxiety, probably a heart murmur, i could go for days) bc this post is getting ungodly long, BUT in legends apparently theres actually a? really vaguely referred to disorder caused by force lightning exposure, which i absolutely did not expect any published works to cover, but luke spent like a year in a wheelchair after ep VI. so im keeping that

This was written by @mysticdelphox97 a long, long time ago, and since I was cracking her up with my commentary on this story late last year, she gave me permission to post it here with our comments. It’s a fantasy story, and it’s less than 15 pages even with all the comments, so it’s pretty short!

It was a magical land, untouched by man until the large, wooden vessels rode unto the beaches. Its beautiful grounds and astonishing maturity surprised the pioneers.

Wing: So what I'm getting from that second sentence is that the pioneers wanted to plow that land, ifyaknowwhaddimean

Mystic: the last time I touched this was apparently 2013 and I'm just??? I wrote shit like this back then?? jeesus Mystic: I GUESS I DUNNO

Its creatures and native residents were mostly intelligent beings, who were capable to communicate with the outsiders. The name of this great continent is Arybiana.

The Mocats saved the majority of the dying Humans. After they recovered, they listened to their story, and then gave them an undisturbed section of the country so they could thrive and prosper. For twenty years, the Humans lived peacefully with nature. After experiencing all that the country had to give them, they decided to become a part of it.

It was actually the son of the ill mother that proposed an alliance to the Mocats, promising to come to their aid during dark times as they had done. The patriarch of the Mocatian race and the Human sealed the deal that day,

Wing: I'm sorry I can't see "sealed the deal" as anything but a euphemism

Mystic: that's ok, this is a really old story so I'm not surprised that that's there

which marked the start of the Alliance.

There were also other evolved creatures that they befriended, who also were sworn into the Alliance. The next race to be emitted was the Elves,

Wing: WHERE ARE ELVES BEING EMITTED FROM??? IS THERE AN ELF-EMITTING ORIFICE IN THE EARTH OR SOMETHING

Mystic: I think I meant admitted? Or.... something similar.... Mystic: i don't know

Wing: Probably admitted, yes, but emitted is hilarious as hell

Mystic: i didn't even catch that so good call there!

who are of the same DNA structure and proportions as the Humans, only their average height is taller. They also have the ability to practice magic.

Wing: So like...no pointed ears tho?

Mystic: pffffffff i think they still have the pointed ears idk why i added that their DNA was the same

Wing: It's to remind us that elves and humans are compatible ;D

Next to join were the Rabbijacks, rabbit-like creatures who have above-average IQs and are generally shy but natural peacemakers. They can use their hind legs as well as a humanoid, and can also be on all fours as well.

Wing: I mean so can I, but that doesn't mean I should

The same applies to the Wolverines, canine creatures

Wing: But...but wolverines are already real creatures...

Mystic: apparently not in this universe Mystic: wtf was my angsty high-school self thinking

with rather relaxed postures who are mischievous and sly,

but are masters in the art of Weaponry, and they have a thing for setting traps and explosives.

are a feline race, same as the Mocats, except they are about as tall as a Human, but they are skilled in the Battle Arts (it’s basically similar to kung fu, martial arts, and karate).

The Lynbaxes are also a feline race, raised in mechanics and electronics,

Wing: They are actually raised in the electronics. Like Pokémon being raised in a PC Box

and have a knack for building machines, whether for modern society or for military purposes. Lastly, the Twilitians joined. They are a humanoid race with light mint-green skin and neon markings.

Wing: ...Twilitians Well, it's a gentler term than "Twitards" anyway Wing: "Light mint-green skin and neon markings" Okay but what neon color were the markings

Mystic: they might not be loosely based off of Midna's race from Twilight Princess Mystic: yeah

They are considered the creatures of the shadow, which suits them because they can transform themselves into shadow.

Wing: Well I mean yeah that's pretty straightforward

Soon, the alliances began to expand on their technology, just as America had done in our dimension. In time, the country began to grow, from the most powerful cities to the leisurely towns and hamlets.

Wing: Leisurely? The entire town is leisurely Also "hamlets" omg what time period am I supposed to be imagining? LOL

Mystic: I have no idea honestly, and if I don't even know and its my own story (from millions of years ago) then that's kind of a problem

And the best part is that very little of the forests and natural areas were eliminated, since the small communities used and incorporated the resources to create their home district. Arybiana eventually became a profitable nation, involved with international trading and other overseas projects.

The Kingdom of Celire became the Capitol of the country.

Wing: Okay but how does an entire kingdom become a capital

It is ruled by two representatives, one male and one female, of each race partaking in the Alliance. These representatives are carefully selected by surveys submitted by the individuals of each community, and by the approval of the Shaman, their God. The High Rulers is the name for this group of delegates. They act as the government, where they try to make life livable for their people (at the time, meaning everyone that thrived in the country, not just their own race).

The Capitol of Arybiana is also directly connected to smaller Kingdoms in charge of multiple communities. Each Kingdom is required to watch over at least one major community and a few or several minor communities. The High Rulers are trained to closely hand-pick a “King” and a “Queen” to watch over them.

Wing: Are there quotations because everyone is secretly genderqueer???

Often, the King and Queen are selected from a single race, since there was no discrimination at the time.

Wing: Haha that's realistic????????!

Mystic: OBVIOUSLY Mystic: i can't even imagine that i actually wrote this Mystic: like Mystic: i actyualyl sat down Mystic: and wrote this Mystic: jesus

For example, in the Kingdom of Eidelvice,

Wing: "Eidelvice" I would like you to know that I first read that as "Evildice" THE KINGDOM OF EVIL DICE

Mystic: I think I was trying to spell Edelweiss Mystic: but uh Mystic: that is definitely NOT Edelweiss

Wing: No it's okay when I read it over again I pronounced it in my head as "edelweiss" so...mission accomplished??

Mystic: yeah kinda? i didn't know how to spell it at the time ^^'

it was often the Rabbijacks that ran the communities. Since the Rabbijacks are true peace-keepers by nature, and Eidelvice is a large interracial district, they were more suited to be used. The communities are also run by a mayor and a small council. It is their duty to report the functions to the King and Queen; and to smooth out any problems with the Community Council, then to the King and Queen if the issues are out of control.

It is allowed that, if the King and Queen are not married and in love, they can be united and have children. The Princes and Princesses live with their parents, and when they retire, they are given the choice to lead the Kingdom as a King or Queen (if they meet the requirements, that is), or to live a normal life as an average Arynan citizen.

Wing: "An average Arynan citizen" Yo where the fuck the "b" from "Arybiana" go Why is that so close to "Aryan"

Mystic: I Mystic: I don't know

It is through these methods of careful selection that have kept Arybiana safe for most of the Early Age. During this time, there were some imperfections. Every now and then, there was a sour apple in the hand-assembled bushel. But, the communities and the Kingdoms have the power to vouch for the replacement of the “sour apple.”

Wing: America 2k16 Mystic: OMG

Let’s say there was a mayor in one of the communities who mistreated the residents, and one of the other communities found out. They would inform their King and Queen about the situation. The King and Queen would then send a petition to the other communities for a vote to impeach him/her.

Wing: Yo you should print this up and just send it to the government with no explanation

Mystic: PFFFFFFF BRUH Mystic: omg I'm crying again omg omg

When it comes around again with the final tallies, the King and Queen address it to the Capitol. Only the High Rulers get to fully decide the result.

These techniques worked well with the country for nearly two thousand years after the Humans arrived. However… that was about to change.

It happened in the year of 1990. The habits of the races began to change. A portion of the Humans began to grow racist to the humanoid race of Twilight, the Twilitians. It was merely because of their light-mint skin and their attire that led to their argument.

Wing: America 2k16 [thousand-yard stare at the wall]...

Mystic: pffffffffffsjlekhdoikjedf

Then… suddenly, the Twilitians simply vanished. They became lost within the small opening between 1999 and the beginning of the 20th century. Everyone pointed fingers at the Humans, who retaliated and said they would never consider doing such a thing, even though parts of their population were acting rather idiotic.

Wing: PFFFFFFFF THE "RATHER IDIOTIC" AMONGST ALL THIS INFODUMPING JUST STRUCK ME FUNNY FOR SOME REASON

The searches turned empty-handed. It was as if they just simply melted into the mist…

Wing: What mist Did we establish that there was lots of mist

Mystic: I was trying to be mysterious I guess

Wing: Mist-erious

Mystic: xD

Because of the confusion, in 2001 the High Rulers (Humans included) turned to the Shaman for answers. The Shaman is a shadowy being, informally known as Shadow.

Wing: I...I thought he was known as Shaman And that's kind of an unoriginal nickname if he's a shadowy being. God, Humans aren't the only ones being idiotic here

Mystic: what was i thinking when i named him that good lord Mystic: what made me think "oh yeah Shaman is a great name!!!" Mystic: like Mystic: honestly

He is the God of Arybiana, who can spot the goodness and potential of each person as well as the darkness and mishaps. Shadow told the representatives about a growing evil, feeding off the greed and pride of each race and becoming stronger.

“What?” they asked, “what evil?”

“One that could sever the Alliance for good,” the Shaman merely stated.

“How can we save it?” the High Rulers pleaded.

Shadow pondered. Then, in a smooth voice, he recited:

“The Allies will be saved,

when the Race of the Silver Lining,

is united with the World of Light.”

The representatives pondered this. Silver Lining was the strip of twilight, which the Twilian race was born from.

Wing: "Strip of Twilight: the early years of 50 Shades of Grey"

Mystic: PFFF O H MY GOD

So if they could save them, then…!

“Wait a minute,” the male elfin leader questioned, “how can we save the Twilitians if we don’t even know where they are? They practically vanished, without even a trace! Who could ever find a race that disappeared from the very face of the earth?”

Shadow responded again:

“The Race of Twilight will be saved,

by each Member of the Alliance,

led by the Hero.”

Wing: Yo that's the most generic advice ever. I vote we elect a new Shadow. This Shadow sucks ass

Mystic: I have to agree

“A hero?” they gasped. What hero? The only heroes were in myths,

Wing: Well that's a depressing viewpoint.

dating back millions of centuries before the Landing of the Humans, and the Creation of the Alliance. Were they about to witness the backwash of another tall tale?

Wing: That's...not where the word "backwash" belongs

Mystic: yeah I also thought that was very out of place

The God of Arybiana felt their anxiety. He felt their fear of losing their relationships with the other races, carefully built on two millenniums of hard times,

Wing: "Two millenniums" pfff

depression, loyalty, happiness, and, yes, he could feel love in there too.

The Shaman cleared his throat.

Wing: Even Shadowy Beings got mucus

Mystic: yup xD Mystic: I'm still legit dying of laughter here omg

“What I’m about to divulge is a Prophecy, written in the ink of the Ancient People who predicted the fate of Arybiana. Now, as I pass this to you, you must promise me this: the words are exactly as they will be mentioned. If the message was passed on, misconstrued, then the demands of Destiny will never be met, and Arybiana’s expected turmoil will come quicker than before. Do you, as the current Rulers of this nation, promise to remember every drop of this information?”

Wing: "Only if it is in liquid form, your Incorporealness" "...." "...." "...You guys really are idiotic."

Mystic: BWAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GDO Mystic: your commentary gives me life omg

They nodded.

Shadow smiled.

Wing: ???????????What????am I supposed to picture???????????????

Mystic: i didn't think that through apparently

He took one large breath, exhaled deeply, and then claimed his older voice back.

Wing: Sure he just popped on down to the Pawn Shop real fast

He revealed the following of the Prophecy:

“The Hero shall emerge,

from a demise known by all, save They.

Wing: Oh, so they have to save Princess They, then.

"THEY'S IN TROUBLE, EVERYONE" "Why, Your Shadowyness. We thought you were more educated than that. Surely you mean 'they ARE in trouble.'" "NO I MEAN, YOU HAVE TO GO SAVE THEY." "Hahaha, oh, Your Royal Intangibleness!! Your jests are appreciated, but ill-timed. Please, share with us your wisdom!" "THEY IS DYING RIGHT NOW. LITERALLY RIGHT NOW." "Please, Your Duskiness!! We have need of your guidance!! Do not tease us so!!" "I HATE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU."

After he was finished, questions immediately popped up:

Wing: Uh, bruh, I've memorized a lot of song lyrics and poems and I don't know shit about the future

Mystic: I could recycle some of the plot and concepts but, obviously like 100X better xD Mystic: pffffft

“Empress Velma,

Wing: "Verily, I say unto my people, I hath lost my spectacles, and can see nary a thing without them."

I needn’t to make you upset, but that ‘poem’ is not only valuable, it is slightly cursed.

I told you in the beginning—if the prophecy’s words were mixed up at all when retold, then the fate of Arybiana’s next Dark Time will come earlier then the predicted date. So let’s say, two years from now, Arybiana is doomed for a flood.

Wing: “[Sound of quills scratching on parchment]” "DAMMIT, GUYS, THAT'S JUST AN EXAMPLE. PUT YOUR DAMN PENS DOWN."

Mystic: PHFFFFFFF HAHAHAHA HAHDNJKDODFN Mystic: OMG MY BELLY OUW XD

If the word got around saying a hurricane or a tsunami was coming instead of a flood, the flood will arrive earlier than before, whether it was a day or a year.”

“That still doesn’t really make sense as to why you can’t spill the beans about this hero,” Velma retorted.

Wing: Jinkies!! Shaggy and Scoob ate the beans, that's why no one can spill 'em!!

“I cannot because of the all-too-real situation of misconstrued information. If knowledge of the Hero was mixed, then he shall arrive later—and by then, I am very afraid that Arybiana will be doomed,” the Arynan God stated.

Wing: Ohhh, so THAT'S why the Second Coming of Christ hasn't happened yet

Mystic: IM REALIZING JUST HOW STUPID THIS WHOLE SCENARIO IS

The Rulers were silent for a portion of the time.

Wing: I'm just imagining them taking a triangle out of a pie chart like "this is the silent portion"

Mystic: PFFFFFFF THAT'S PERFECT

Then, Rabbijack leader Kaylai spoke: “So, you are putting the pressure on us to get those very exact words out, correct?”

“Yes, I am indeed.”

“How about… we make a pact, then? So to keep true to the words of the Prophecy?” she inquired.

Her male counterpart, Rabbijack Emperor Freier, agreed. “I believe that is a splendid idea—that way, there shall be little doubt that the Prophecy will become lost within the mists of time.”

Wing: Look more mist

Mystic: its all a bunch of fucking misty omg Mystic: that's it that's all this country is

The fourteen other leaders nodded their heads and muttered their agreement. Then they turned to Shadow.

Wing: Just, bam. They were suddenly all shadows. Just like that

“I cannot see why not. I shall even put a slight enchantment on it as well, so you are even less likely to make that mistake,” he said finally.

Wing: "So should I just...should I just put this away?" said Emperor Jeff in the back, holding up his tape recorder, on which he had recorded the shitty prophecy. Wing: "KEEP THAT ANACHRONISTIC, SACRILIGEOUS WITCHCRAFT OUT OF HIS SHADOWYNESS'S PRESENCE," hissed some other royal or another; Jeff thought they all looked rather alike because everything was so fucking misty all the time. He wasn't really sure what his Empress even looked like. Too much damn mist.

Mystic: OH MY GODHSADFNM,KJAQWELBDJFGHJSAD Mystic: G\ Mystic: B R U H

With that, the High Rulers of Arybiana made what is now known as the Protection Pact,

Wing: Yo, I think high schools do that in Sex Ed classes

Mystic: PFFFFFFFFFFF Mystic: when i read that i was like "the fuck is it called the protection pact what are they protecting what the fuck"

meaning that no one could re-tell the Prophecy without knowing each detail of it. The enchantment was that, if the wrong words slip or a piece of the Prophecy wasn’t told, the Emperor or Empress that committed it will have their life cut short.

It didn’t take very long for that to happen.

Wing: Literally fucking why

Mystic: uh

Wing: Who was sitting in there rubbing their hands together evilly and thinking "heheheh I will endanger the lives of everyone by spreading false information at great personal risk to myself as well wahahaha!!!" Oh wait Everyone on the internet

Mystic: good question Mystic: BASICALLY Mystic: also another thing I noticed: apparently I really liked the amnesia trope back in 2013

The first to die after the Prophecy was Wolverine Empress Velma, who missed one crucial phase: instead of saying ‘from the ashes of a White Blossom,’ she said, ‘from the ashes.’ She passed away suddenly, the COD unknown.

Wing: The poor little fish had long loved her from afar, but his affections came to naught with the Empress's untimely death.

"I should have known that I could not dare to challenge fate," the cod wept, a tear escaping to join the silvery waters in which he lived, "for what time, what reason, would there ever come...for a Queen to love a fish?"

Mystic: Oh, right, I abbreviated "cause of death" to "COD".... which was pretty unnecessary xD

Wing: Emperor Jeff and Dear COD are my favorite characters now

Mystic: i am glad that you have found some love within my poorly executed story hahaha xD

After her mix-up, the rest of the Rulers began to die off.

Wing: Math class was forever changed, until the invention of calculators with built-in measuring functions Wing: And by the way:

"I shall even put a slight enchantment on it as well, so you are even less likely to make that mistake"

Mystic: yeeahhhhhhhh, that probably wasn't the best idea there.

unfortunately i don’t know much about sag suns :( but from what i do know is that your a really easy-going person, and you can get along with people well!! you’re optimistic and love to learn esp when its something ur passionate about! even tho your easy going and can get along with people… ur still a fire sign which means you’ve got a temper.. but a quick one. you’ll probably forget what made you mad after 5 min and you can seem a lil irresponsible. tbh sagittarius suns are a huge mystery to me n im sure theres a good reason for that!

your libra venus tells me that you’re a daydreamer.. you have a picture in your head of what your ideal and perfect relationship looks and how you want everything to be which isnt exactly a good thing because you’ll have lots of trouble finding someone if you don’t open up your mind., communication in a relationship is a key thing for you and it lowkey might turn you on, but when it comes to deeper issues you’re more likely to gloss things over than talk about it in depth. you also (of course) want everything in your relationship to be balanced or else you might go a lil crazy n be unhappy with the situation, but of course you’re always willing to come to a compromise. you have the ABILITY to treat your partner right but wont necessarily do it. you’ll most likely show your charm (instead of aggression) to get what you want. random notes are that you get turned off by aggressiveness, you seem insecure even tho you might not be, you try to impresses people with your ‘kindness’ and you will fully accommodate your life for someone.

last but not least your capricorn mars tells me you like having things in control and you may not come across as enthusiastic. when it comes to your work, you like to be on top of everything and make sure nothing falls behind. you’re goal-oriented, focused and love to work hard. you have good self control and you express your angry in a cool, calm, and collected way.. but you have the need to remain in control which can make you seem a bit scary. random things are you have a strong ability to plan for your future, you set realistic goals, you’re productive, hard on yourself and sometimes on other people as well, when you get angry you’re likely to distract yourself by doing work (any type..fun, hard, easy, etc)
