Ohhh no I've misguided you a bit I fudge with dicks age a bit bc I personally think it makes more senses time line wise that dick would become Nightwing at 16/17 but canonically Dick became Nightwing at about 18/19 which tbh I personally still think the outfit makes sense at that age I've never known an 19 year old with much sense in them it's prime "I'm adult now" where you don't realise there's still a lot of stuff you don't realise and your about to make some of the worst choices of your whole life in the span of 12 months

So, I don't know if it's ever actually said that Caranthir is more emotional than his brothers or if I just made it up, but I'm gonna run with it for this.

I, myself, am the emotional sort. Where if I get a strong enough emotion it's gonna make me cry and what if Caranthir did too? 'Cause he is Emotional

Caranthir was always told growing up that Princes don't cry. That after a certain age he had to stop letting his emotions control him. It wasn't a good look. But it wasn't like he was trying to be this way, to be annoying and draw attention. It's just how he was, it wasn't his fault! Mother always said he felt too much and that it was a good thing, that he didn't have to be like his older brothers. But Father was...strict. Loving, of course, but things had to be a certain way.

As he got older it didn't get any easier to shut off the waterworks. He tried, he really did. But when he was sad, he cried. When he was happy, there were tears. It was only when he was angry that they stopped. And that was what he focused on when everything else became too much.

He had a temper to start with, just like Father, but the more he leaned into it the worse it got. Until finally, after crying over the loss of Grandfather, he stopped caring. They were going for revenge and he couldn't let stupid tears get in the way. It was easier to be angry.

But because of that he had very few tears to shed for Father's death or when Maitimo was taken. Until it got to the point that if he wasn't angry at something then he didn't feel anything. It had been centuries since he cried. Not even the deaths of friends could fix it. Nor his own. He had been fucking angry until he died.

Then he was in the Halls of Mandos. And all those centuries of holding it back came forth and he was sobbing. His brothers were there and Father but they didn't know what to do. Caranthir never cried like this when he was younger, it was only the few tears before he was fine again. What were they supposed to do here?

Then Father crouched next to him and put an arm around his shoulders, pulled him into a hug and waited it out. It would be fine once he got out literal centuries of emotions. Then he could unlearn all that he was told and finally be him again. Where his tears weren't something bad to be stopped but simply how he expressed himself.

idk I thought it was fairly obvious in ATSV that Miguel is going to be the catalyst for all the anomalies and that he's trauma projecting and obsessing onto Miles as a scapegoat, just like all the other spider people. Canon Events gives their tragedies purpose. Absolves them of guilt - it was literally preordained, nothing they could've done would have stopped it, etc. BTSV will, I'm sure, have Miguel get his head out of his ass (+ the rest of the spider peeps) likely in concert with the villain who is similarly projecting his trauma onto Miles (or in contrast to him).

I keep seeing some frankly INSANE takes that make me want to poke y'all in the shoulder and go did we even watch the same fucking movie but also, we prob didn't, because of the different versions, so that just feels mean lol.
