I have. thoughts. about Paris. he's almost got this Troilos parallel in my mind, that the event that defines him in detail exists in a lost narrative that we don't have (the Cypria), but everyone else knew. the event that defines Troilos is his death (murdered, butchered by Achilles, the violence of which haunts everything after. Achilles, child killer, you can't escape that!), and the event that defines Paris is the Judgement. what's a lost text but a kind of grave!!

idk I don't think that Paris before the Judgement would recognize himself after bc when you become god touched, it rearranges your guts. you become transformed in the worst way possible! how could you recognize yourself! but I also think that all the Parises after the Judgement would recognize each other because that event is so locked into the trauma of war and the scar it leaves on the land, it's like a scar on the narrative too. it exists like this forever, over and over again, so you exist like that forever too. Troy collects grief and despairs.

i feel like. theres designing a character with certain themes and motifs in mind, and then theres making a gijinka for the water bottle on my nightstand

yuno - rabbit, mantis, or lamprey! for rabbit it's because people tend to see them as just cute pets but theyre actually quite mean at times and a lot of effort has to be put into genuinely taking care of them. also the reproductive cycle theyre known for whatever. praying mantises yeah its the "eating their mates" thing, also because of her covering "sticky bug"! she also just generally reminds me of a mantis for some reason. lampreys because of "the vampire" and because draining blood, draining warmth etc. they also slightly resemble umbilical cords! fuuta - fire breathing dragon. its bright red. self explainable (salamander, fire...) but also because of his knight motifs! ive also considered a wolf for him bc i think it'd be funny if both kotoko and fuuta had wolves but i think him being a scalie fits more muu - wasp. she thinks its a bee that she's designed. she is wrong. wasp because of "its not my fault", the fact wasp species can be "social" or "solitary", and the fact wasps kill bees. i can also see the argument for just a bee though! especially since once bees sting you they die afterwards shidou - a bird of paradise :). double meaning with the fact it shares the name with a flower. also because i think being one of those rly fancy birds is just like him. I feel like I'm pretty indifferent to most of them. This is super cringe of me, but whenever I fall super in love with a character I don't often like shipping them romantically with anyone. 💀 (im delusional I know)

It doesn't help that for some reason the jjk fandom (especially twt) is weirdly aggressive about ships. I know it isn't all the shippers and it's mostly just the loud minority, but seeing so much of the discourse has kinda put me off and I don't really engage much with the ships in the fandom except for rarepairs and selfships bc alot of the time those communities are more wholesome and cozy (if that makes sense LOL)
