Every time I think my back is feeling better, i go into another coughing fit and throw it out again. One involuntary bodily process should not be able to render a totally separate body part inoperable and I'd like a word with whoever added that design patch

#personal #ive had a cold or maybe rsv #its not covid #and i got a really bad knot in my back one night #and then the next day it was gone but the following night i fucked up my lower back #went to the er and everything #they didnt do jack shit except give me prednisone which may or may not be very slightly helping #no tests or imaging or anything #but my cough isnt gone yet so every time i do cough i throw my back out again #and i dont have any pain meds beyond just regular tylenol and ibuprofen but neither seem to actually make a difference #because i think its nerve pain #the heat pad works a little bit but not as much as id like it to

All illnesses have their own specific brand of misery, making it hard to identify one particular symptom as "worst". I will say that the helpless irritated agony caused by the sysiphian task of trying to keep your airways clear by blowing your chapped raw nose and taking (awful, disgusting) cough syrup that respiratory diseases carry does hit different tho

I have never been so sick in my life. I am misery incarnate. One side of my nose is so stuffy that my face hurts and the other side is so runny I practically have to have a tissue box attached to my face. My thermometer says I don't have a fever but I do have chills and sweats somehow??? Even my ears hurt. I perish, truly.

For the past 3 weeks I've been dealing with an incredibly shitty cough and finally, it's easing up. I can sit and not cough so hard I gag and give my headaches :’) just a normal cough that is only mildly annoying~
