She Is A Lady (Ivar x Targaryen Reader)
Tumblr media
Ivar has always been such an interesting character to me so imagine how delighted I was when I got my first request for him. Also I would like to announce that I will not be accepting any more requests for daemon Targaryen as of right now cause i have written so many and I have also others that I must write. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Y/n) had always been an adventurous character, ever since she could walk she would wobble away from everyone, curiosity fuelling her little chubby legs, when she got a little older and was able to get on her dragon, Rhaenyras's heart raced as she waited patiently for her daughter to come home.
She was her father's daughter, stubborn, brave, and resilient, “the noble she-dragon” was her title when she would often be referred to in the songs of barbs, she would smirk under her cloak as she would often cover herself to visit the small taverns.
When war called for her (y/n) defended her mother with the fierceness of a dozen warriors, however, the pain of losing her brothers one by one, her dear Daemon who taught her so many things, her grandmother Rhaenys, she could not risk the death of her mother.
“We can still fight dear”
“Mother our troops have fought fiercely for so long, most of our men are dead, we need an alliance”
“What if they kill you?”
“Then I’ll let my brothers know how much you love them and we will be waiting for you, my queen”
Rhaenyra overcomes with emotion fell into her daughters' arms in desperation, her precious little girl was now grown up. (Y/n) hugged her mother back with the same amount of love, she hated the fact that she had to leave her mother's side, but this was their last resort.
Rhaenyra pulled away slightly, her fingers reaching for the few strands of Dark hair that were entangled between her Targaryen silver hair, a small token she had inherited from her late father.
“Promise me you will come back to me”
“I won’t come alone, I’ll come with an army to protect you”
-
(Y/n) had searched for inhabited land beyond the wall for a full day, the sun had been tucked away and replaced by the moon when she noticed a land lit by torches, it would unwise to make a haste landing without a warning first, for all she knew this land could be home for cannibals or demon worshippers.
(Y/n) commanded her dragon to fly a bit lower, circling the city to make her presence known, not only did the people notice her, as they had gathered around for supper to celebrate their victory, they rose from their seats to follow the beast that appeared to make landing a bit further down.
“I am unharmed, well… except the dragon”
“Who are you?”
“Princess (y/n) Targaryen, I come from kings landing”
The men came to a standstill with the princess, both parties waiting for a sudden move so they can “defend” their own, you could only hear the sound of the fire from their torches and their breaths created a mist from the cold.
“I understand this is sudden for you but I have come in peace, I have been traveling on dragon back since dawn, it would be certainly easier for me to explain after I get some type of food if you could be so kind to offer one”
The dim light was not enough to reveal the contraption Ivar was using to stand up on his legs, his eyes piercing through hers in such intensity that (y/n) felt like the man was trying to look into her brain, still she did not waver, she challenged him with her strong look she beheld on those intriguing hues, her flame could be identified from a mile away, this was not a meek princess, she came flying in a beast and stood by it proudly, she was a true warrior sent from the Gods.
“Fine, princess. Leave your sword and dragon here and then you can follow us”
Of course, he knew she was lying, he saw the sword that rested on her hip the minute she got on the ground, intrigued by the astonishing beast she came with he decided to offer her sanctuary.
To his surprise, the princess took out her sword before she came on one knee with it laying flat on her palms.
“This has been given to me by a beloved family member, I do not wish to leave it unattended but I trust you with it, Ser”
“Ivar, Ivar the boneless”
Her face showed exactly how puzzled she was by the nickname the name claimed that he was holding, howbeit she did not have time to question it for long since from the first step Ivar took (y/n) picked up on the metal sound and observed just how stiff his walking as she realized that the man was probably barely able to stand up, his entire weight was supported by a delicates design of metal that went all the way up to his thigh.
Ivar smirked at the sight of the woman offering her sword, she seemed smart enough according to her calculated moves, the sword felt light in his hand as it shined under the moonlight, arrogantly he pointed the tip of the sword directly under her chin, his ego allowing him to consider that he had the upper hand.
(Y/n) gently placed the weapon away from her face and rose to her feet, she had been nothing but gracious she would not allow herself to be disrespected.
“Lead the way, my lord”
She simply suggested, she concealed her facial expression well though the devil was always in the details, Ivar could see her hands forming into fists.
“Welcome to Kattegat princess”
He turned his back on her while she took small steps to stay behind him, she did not want to offend him by walking faster so her pace was slow enough to let him walk.
(Y/n)s eyes traveled around everything, people’s faces, their clothing, their tables, their homes, it seemed like everyone was living a simple life, it reminded her of the roads of kings landing.
Ivar could hear the whispers from his subjects, they were all taken back by Ivars sudden kindness, and they all expected him to kill her on the spot, he had to admit that the idea did go through his head, yet something in him told him to let her join their feast, maybe it was the fearsome dragon, maybe her alluring appearance.
Alas, (y/n) took a seat next to him, and quite swiftly the servants gave her a plate full of food and a goblet with ale, the chicken was warm and the ale did the trick of warming her up as everyone danced around the fire, a faint smile played on her lips while Ivar observed her.
“So what brings you here princess?”
“War I am afraid”
“War?”
“In my homeland, we have one king that rules over the land, my family has been been in that position for over a century, yet it is the very first time that a woman-my mother- is to assume authority, that did not go well with her half brother”
“So you ran?”
“I certainly have not, my brothers were killed, my stepfather, my grandmother… all gone”
Ivar felt sadness rush through his chest at how the princess's chin quivered, her hushed tone trembling as she uttered the last two words, her doe eyes misting in the firelight, Ivar was not known for his empathy, still, he reached for her hand under the table to give it a slight squeeze.
“My mother was killed by my father's first wife, she released an arrow while my mother was walking away”
“How did you respond?”
“Oh I’ve tried to kill her several times”
“It is quite macabre, how the family is always the one that causes the biggest pain”
“I suppose, if you are not running then what brought you here?”
“Desperation, countless battles have taken most of our men, I was hoping to look for allies”
“You described it perfectly, desperation is the only thing that could make someone believe that another army of men would come to die for you”
“My mother is all I have left, wouldn’t you do anything to bring your own back to life?”
“Definitely”
“It might sound cruel but forgive me for saying I do not crave to understand your pain”
She was honest Ivar gave (y/n) that much, they sat there gawking at one another, she stood tall, she did not waver under his eyes as most people did, she showed no signs of fear, she did not care about anything, and let’s not even start of how ambitious she appeared to be.
Ivar took a swig of his ale without looking away from those distinguish violet hues, he recalled how the prophets have whispered to him of a queen of a faraway land.
“Your queen will help you fly amongst the clouds, you’ll know lands beyond the eye”
He had brushed it off as a riddle, but now he started to understand that it was the only time the prophet meant every word, could she- princess (y/n) Targaryen- be his queen?
There, for only the briefest moment and for the first time he felt the warm sensation of his heart thumping at the mere sight of her smile, like Freya had come from the clouds to place her cloak around the two youngsters. For so long Ivar had brushed off the idea of love or marriage, sometimes he would even the joke that the goddess herself has cursed him or turned his back on him, cruelly denying him the blessing of a true loves match.
“I cannot throw my men to a war over lands I know nothing about”
“I figure that we will ride tomorrow”
“Ride?”
“We can strap you up on Daylight and you will be safe as a passenger”
“You mean I go up in that?”
“Hey, she is a lady”
Ivar cackled at her correction regarding her dragon. It had been a while since one was so casual with him, that treated him with kindness without fearing his outbursts, sure her ignorance of not exactly knowing his antics had something to do with it, albeit Ivar thoroughly enjoyed her presence, her wit and pride complimented her.
As (y/n) bit her bottom lip her gaze went over to his legs, she wanted to ask as silence overtook them, but she debated if it was the right decision.
“It’s not an injury, I was never able to walk”
“Brittle bones, the masters in my land had informed me of such condition. Back in the day, they used to kill babes that seemed to hold such an illness”
“Oh that is what happens here as well, my mother forbade it”
“She sounds like a lovely woman”
“She was”
(Y/n) could deeply empathize with the look that took over Ivars handsome face, how his expression clouded for just a moment, how his jaw tensed and his lips stiffened to a thin line, she could tell that Ivar was not looking at anyone particularly, he was reminiscing as moments that they shared passed through his ice blue hues.
Ivar was pulled back to reality by her gentle hand resting on his thing, usually, he would shove away anyone that dared to touch his legs, but surprisingly he just allowed his hand to find hers and rest on top of it, a part of him yearning for the warmth of her touch, her genuine interest and zest.
“I am certain she is very proud of you, I understand you two probably shared a very close bond”
“We did, but let’s not dwell on such events, you must rest I do not want the rider of such a large beast to fall asleep while they hold my life in the reigns of a dragon”
They smiled at one another, a grin that behind it was resting countless words left unsaid. Ivar was a stranger to the goodwill of people, although with her, as his eyes rested upon her features he felt like his anger vanished, like a wave that held her name washed through his experience with cruelty and even his brothers belittling him was now gone.
“This feels strange”
“I agree princess, but I do not want it to go away”
“Me neither”
She whispered, her eyes lowering down to the ground to avoid the foreign sensation that was Ivars presence. Ivar allowed her to retreat, as he looked around it dawned on him that a few of the others had also taken it to become viewers of their encounter, he could not blame them.
With some difficulty he rose from his seat with the goblet of Ale in his hand, demanding the attention of everyone to realign with their leader.
“It is with great honor that I present to you the princess (y/n) Targaryen, the future queen of her land, she has come to us with a request for an alliance, to fight alongside her army for a land we do not know. Tomorrow I will ride with the princess to see for myself that foreign land, as well as to marry her”
“What?”
“To unite our kingdoms, to rule by her side in her homeland and for her to rule by my side in mine, to give us a reason to help her. Raise your glass, to your future queen”
Requests are open!

We have a problem.
↳ Pairing. Ivar the Boneless.
↳ Summary. In where Ivar despises how much he admires you.
↳ Word count. 1.9K.
↳ Warnings. Mention of violence(? I mean, the show is violent, heated moment but not smut.
↳ Note. You could say it’s kind of an enemies to lovers, but a bad one so sorry for that.
Tumblr media
For the love of the gods, he despises you. You make him use his manners even when he doesn’t feel like it, you make him say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ as if he’s not your king, and you even give him the same look his brothers uses to give him when he gave an idea and they didn’t even think about it. He definitely hates you.
But he’s not going to attempt to harm you, oh he will never.
“Get ready, we’re going to study the battlefield,” He says when his army and you are finished making camp in England.
He grunts when you ignore him, instead holding your cup to a thrall so she can fill it with some ale.
“Please,” He murmurs.
“Great, let’s go my king.” You chant, standing up and starting to walk to one of the horses, with some men following you. He rolls his eyes.
“I hate when you do that,” He says when you both are already on the way to the field where the fight is gonna take place.
“You may be my king but I’m not a slave, you treat me like an equal even if we are not in your eyes.” You say.
You are his strongest warrior, his right hand if we are being honest, with the hate and everything. He’s certain that you’re a far better tactician than he is and that same methodical thinking that he has is what makes you the second most dangerous person in his kingdom, after him. You never show your full potential but your smug attitude towards him is enough to know that you are what you talk, and for that he hates you. Because he admires you so much that he can’t help but to put you in the same position he has his father.
“Oh, a wood I see,” You murmur with a smirk.
“It will be difficult to fight here,” He says.
“Say who?” You ask and he raises an eyebrow at you. “Look around, my king.”
And he does, he looks around trying to see whatever the fuck you’re seeing but he can’t think of a decent strategy that involves these enormous trees.
“You have lost your mind, we definitely can’t fight here.” He shrugs and you sigh.
“Don’t be stupid.”
“Watch your mouth.” He snaps, his breathing already increasing at the anger starting to bubble inside of him.
“I said, don’t be stupid,” You repeat slowly, making sure that you pronounce every word and he swears that if it wasn’t because of how much he needs your skills you would be dead right there and then. “This time we brought more archers than we usually do.”
You get off your horse and start walking to a tree that it’s easy to climb. Ivar looks at you with curiosity.
“They will expect us to fight them there,” You point to where the land doesn’t have trees. “For that’s the way we normally fight, but we can give them a welcome before the real fight. Lower their number as much as we can.”
“With archers.” He hums and you nod, taking your own arch and arrow and aiming at him.
“With archers.” You murmur and he smiles when you shoot, hitting a deer that was several meters away from him. “That will definitely be a good way of starting the fight.”
“Starting? You just want to start the fight here?” He asks, watching you walk to him after climbing off the tree.
“Obviously.” You roll your eyes and he sighs for the nth time. “We will have men where is clear and men hiding along the path from where they are gonna come from. We will force them to fight here, if they try to run back they will face our men, and if they try to run straight…”
“They will face our men.” Ivar murmurs, smirking.
He doesn’t see you again till the next day when is the time to fight, he made sure everybody was aware of the plan and made sure to position you by his side, to keep an eye on you he says.
“You know I can defend myself right?” You tell him when you’re on positions.
“And?”
“You always put me by your side when we are fighting,” You say and he ignores that, looking straight to where the enemy is supposed to get intercepted by the archers. “If you want to protect me so much just say it.”
“Who says I want to protect you?” He snarls with feigned disgust. “I have to, for I remind you that you’re my second in command.”
“Are you sure, my king?” You chuckle and he looks at you. “Are you sure that’s all I am?”
He hates you. Because you know that all his hate is a fucking acting to hide his true feelings, because you know he dies to have you and you use that to your advantage to get under his skin.
“And if you’re more so what?” He snaps.
“Then go to my tent if I make it out alive.” You laugh, and just in time some of the enemies come from out of the wood.
And just like you said, it was a small number, the others were probably dead or fighting with the other group of warriors on the other side.
“Let’s do this, my king.” You say excited, and he smiles. You adore to fight.
You fight without a care in the world, laughing, smiling and enjoying the slaughtering you were making, with him not too far away watching your back by throwing his axe and making a slaughtering of his own.
His army win, as he imagined, and he can’t be more proud of his army, and you.
Late at night he finds himself crawling to your tent, finding you taking a bandage off your thigh, showing a kind of deep wound.
“I didn’t see that earlier, when did you get it?” He asks, not waiting for you to give him permission to enter and doing it anyways, he sits in front of you.
“I didn’t say you can come in.”
“When. Did. You. Get. It.” He grunts. He can’t believe you got hurt when he was supposed to be protecting you without your knowledge.
“It was when we were making sure they were all dead, one used his last breath to try to do some damage and he cut me. It’s not as deep as it seems, it’s just that it opened when I was moving around.” You explain.
He crawls a little more till he’s sitting sideways in front of your open legs. It’s just now that he realizes that you’re just wearing an undergarment, a really thin one.
With shaky hands he takes the bowl with a cloth that you have on the floor and just when he’s gonna start cleaning the open wound he gets distracted with the amount of skin on display, his stare going up so slowly he’s sure you notice. And you do.
“You came into my tent to see my chest, my king?” You say in a mocking tone and he looks to the cloth in his hand.
He stays like that till he feels your hand on his chin, making him look up. You shrug.
“At least clean my wound first and the you’ll have all time in the world to stare,” He abruptly moves his face from your grip and you laugh.
But he puts the bowl on the floor and climbs onto your bed, sitting by your side and forcing himself to show confidence when he takes your leg and put it on his thigh, you take the bowl for him, not giving attention to the fact that the little dress scrunched up with your new position.
Slowly, with a patience he doesn’t have he starts to clean your wound, grimacing like he’s the one in pain when he feels you sucking a breath. Then, he takes the clean bandage and wrap it nicely around the wound and stay there, with his hands on your knee and thigh. He looks at you.
“You gave me permission to come in.” He murmur and you frown.
“I didn’t.”
“Before you jumped on killing the saxons, you did,” You raise your eyebrows remembering. “Otherwise I wouldn’t have come.”
“Right.”
You stay in a confused silence, confused because you seem to be in peace while he’s nervous and fidgeting with the closeness.
“What’s wrong, are you injured too?” You ask.
“We have a problem.”
“Uh? Something’s wrong?” You sit straight and just when you are going to put the leg down he stops you.
“I want to lay with you.” You suck a breath, just because you didn’t really believe he would give the first step. “For more than one time.”
“What does that mean?” He looks at you like he does everyday, wanting to shake your pettiness.
“It means that I want to be your man, and have you for myself everyday, not just for one night. I want to make you my queen, that’s what it means.” He says everything in one breath and this is the first time that he actually leaves you speechless. “I want you to just… go to bed with me.”
You stay silent, watching his hands and not looking up not even when he squeezes your thigh. He starts to fidget again.
“And where’s the problem in everything you just said?” You murmur.
“Uh?”
“You said we have a problem, where is it?” You ask him and he rolls his eyes.
“The problem is that a cripple wants you, the most powerful shieldmaiden in my whole army,” He grunts. “A man that can’t fucking satisfy—,”
“There you go being stupid again,” You snort softly, while simultaneously moving till you are straddling him and letting him rest his back on your bed, you lean till both of your chests are touching. “Let me remind you that I been knowing you for a long time and I know firsthand that it can work.”
“That’s not true.” He whispers, grabbing your hips.
“I have seen you spy on me when we are raiding and I have to bathe on rivers and trust me,” He looks behind you, not wanting to look you in the eyes. “I could see that it works.”
He grips your hips again and just when he is about to say something foul out of embarrassment you crash your lips with his and right away he moans, his left hand flying to grab the back of your neck to keep you in place, wanting to dominate you but the way you roll your hips distract him.
“Fuck…” He whispers when you bite his lower lip, he softly slaps your ass and you moan in his mouth.
“Again, please,” You whisper and he does just that, smacking your ass again while attentively watching your expression, he does it again. “Fuck, my king.”
He gives you one hard smack that has you gasping, you look at him and he’s dead serious.
“My name.”
“Ivar.”
“Exactly.” You sigh and lean to give him a sweet kiss. “That’s the name that should be leaving your lips.”
“We have another problem.” You murmur right into his mouth.
“What is it?” He whispers, entertained with your ass, caressing it.
“I have to put up with you from now on.”
He grunts.

At Dawn
Ivar The Boneless
Prompt: Homesickness and soft Ivar.
Tumblr media
For the first three months, you cry at night. There is no way to explain it other than the homesickness you feel crawling up your insides. You don’t want to be here, you never asked to be here. Your father had an unfinished debt with King Ragnar, so he gave him the only thing of value he had; you. At first, you were meant to be a thrall in the service of the rulers, but the youngest prince took a liking to you, and considering that your father used to be an Earl, you were deemed acceptable to become his wife. And thus, you married.
“Wife of mine, what troubles you tonight?” Ivar’s soft voice breaks your line of thought. His rough hand trails from your elbow to your shoulder before he turns you around in bed and pulls you to him. You used to wake up with a damp pillow every morning, Ivar would notice every single time. He never mentioned it, but he also never tried to set you free.
Despite the odd beginnings, you’ve come to love your husband, and you like to believe the feeling is mutual. “Same as always, my love.”
He considers your words; you know he doesn’t like when you feel down thinking about the past. “This is your home now, you can have anything you want, you know that, right?”
You do. “I’m just thinking about my family and what they did.” Because as much as Ivar boughtyou, your family sold you.
“You don’t need them anymore, if a family is what you desire…” he hesitates, “I will do my best to give it to you, wife.” You both know the rumor of his incapability is completely mistaken. Still, you’re also aware that Ivar is scared of having children out of fear they will resemble him in disability. The fact that he’s willing to try speaks about his love.
“Truly?” His blue eyes are full of sincerity and insecurity. You want to crush everything that makes him uncertain, like he quells your nightmares.
The first three months you cry at night, but the next three decades you smile at dawn.

Taking Care…
Ivar Ragnarsson x Reader
Warnings: none, maybe a tiny bit of angst?
Words: 844
Tumblr media
A comfortable silence surrounded them as they watched the fire burn. Her fingers softly combing through his dark hair, making his eyes closed in satisfaction. Chuckling softly she watched him, watching how his lashes barely brushed his cheeks, how his mouth held the smallest smile, barely visible but still there. A low disproving hum escaped him as she stopped brushing through his, letting her hand just rest on top of his hair, feeling for any remaining braids she couldn't see in the light.
Opening one eye, he shot her a glare making her try to hide her giggle, placing one hand over his eyes, shushing him. Smiling softly he leaned back into her, letting her continue her work. Humming a soft tune she concentrated back on his hair, making sure it wasn't knotted anymore, before rinsing it with water again, watching the last of blood wash out of it. Biting her lip in worry of it being his own, she again thread her fingers through his hair, carefully feeling for any sign of a wound.
Softly taking her hand that was covering his eyes he brought it down to his mouth, kissing her palm lovingly, calming her nerves slightly making her sigh in relief. She was used to treating his wounds, but the ones on his head still worried her the most, not knowing what it could cause to the parts she didn't see. Still placing soft, featherly kisses on her palm and each of her finger tips, the young man couldn't help but keep his eyes closed, leaning into her touch, letting her take care of him.
They both barely said a word when he came back, just needing to feel each other close. Needing to be in the safe haven they created with one another. Tugging on his hair, she grinned down at him with a glimmer of mischievous in her eyes as his own fluttered open to find hers, his heart melting at the sight in front of him. His lover looking down at him with the most truest admiration, her lips pulled into a grin as she tugged on his hair to get his attention, not wanting to break the oh so comforting silence.
Raising an eyebrow he felt his own lips pull into a small smile. Leaning down she placed a soft kiss onto his cheek, leaving a trail of kisses in their as she made her way to his lips. Leaving tingles in their wakening, making the young king shiver slightly under her touch. As her lips finally reached his, he couldn't contain himself as he cupped the back of her neck, pulling he closer, deepening the kiss. Soft gasps slipped out of her mouth making him catch them with the kiss, smirking softly.
With heaving chests, Ivar let his hand slip onto her cheek, caressing the skin softly, making her smile tenderly at him. Her eyes held love. The love he never thought he'd receive. The love he knew was shining even brighter in his own eyes when he looked at her.
"I was so scared, Ivar." Her hand softly playing with his hair, not having the strength to find his eyes anymore. Showing weakness was something so fragile, they both still weren't sure wether it was alright for them to be so open about their fears. Ivars eyes softened as he heaved himself into the position opposite her, taking her hands. "Whatever for?" Worry settled on his features as her eyes welled with tears. Shaking her head she realized how hideous her fear was. He was Ivar the boneless, nothing could or would be able to hurt him. He was protected by the gods.
But as the months went on her fear started to settle in, more reason flooded her mind. What if the gods suddenly stopped protecting him, making him vincible, easier to hurt. More months passed and the fear was causing her many sleepless nights, making her visit the seer almost daily, slowly starting to obsess over her husbands wellbeing. Ivar was fragile, he wouldn't admit it but he was and she knew it. The whites in his eyes turning blue, his bones breaking, being her biggest fear.
A small tear slipped down her as she turned her head away from him. "You need someone strong, I shouldn't worry." Chuckling softly he pulled her onto his lap, being careful enough not to put too much weight on his legs. “What I need is for my wife to worry about me when I’m gone for battle.” His fingers now drawing small shapes softly on the outside of her thighs. A small smile now finds its way onto her face as she nuzzled her head into his neck, inhaling his scent, calming herself.
Smiling to himself Ivar began running his hair through her tangled hair, an evidence that she, again, was spending more time taking care of him and his needs than tending to her own. Placing a featherly kiss onto the top of her hair, he hushed her quietly, stopping her thoughts from torturing her.

Your touch brought forth an incandescent glow, tarnished but so grand.
Title: Another Taylor Swift song, I used ivy again and I am not sorry.
Pairing: Ivar x Fem!Reader
Summary: Ivar saves you in every way a woman can be saved.
Words: 6k(ish).
Warnings: Alright guys, bear with me cause we're going on a wild ride. Reader gets kidnaped by Harald and he tries to rape her (twice). Nothing happens cause our very own savior Mr. Ivar Lodbrok comes and saves the day. There's smut too, it's reader's first time, and it's Ivar's first time too, It's everything very soft. EXPLICIT, sex and violence, minors do not interact.
A/N: I deleted my other account (stylinsonliving) and all my works will be reposted here, any doubt send me an ask. Guys this is that scene in the Troy 2004 movie where Achilles saves Briseis, every resemblance is not a coincidence and every credit goes to Wolfgang Petersen, the director. My asks are always open: you can request a filthy smut, a relationship advice and my political opinion, I’ll answer to all of it. Feedback is always welcome and my mistakes are always mine.
Tumblr media
The first thing you remembered from that night was the pain. As you were dragged out of your hiding place in the church your body drowned in the most excruciating pain you ever felt. You were pulled by your hair like you weighed nothing, that man would grunt like an animal, speak a language you didn’t quite know and look down at you with a scary smile plastered all over his face.
You screamed and struggled but as the seconds went by you learned that no matter how hard you fought you had no chance against him. Once he got tired of your shifting, he punched you hard on the head and everything went black.
A few hours later, the screaming woke you up, you found yourself bound to a tree while those same men screamed and laughed around you. As your heart started to race you noticed when one of them walked over to you, a creepy smirk on his face as he approached furtively until he was in front of you, one hand rested against the tree while the other held a cup. He smelled your hair, then your neck, dragging his nose against your skin while you tried to squirm away.
“Never been in between the legs of a christian woman.” He growled, bringing his wet finger to the cleavage of your chemise, then spilling the liquid on his cup over your breasts. “And I would love to be in between yours.”
He tried to kiss you but you bit his lip, strong enough to open a cut, his blood filled your taste buds and you spat down on the ground as he winced in pain, moving away a little and staring at you angrily. He quickly rubbed his opened lip with the back of his hand before closing it into a fist and punching you on your stomach.
You gasped. The strong man hit your face with more punches before signing to one of his friends to come close. They untied your arms then and dragged you towards the circle of men out there. They screamed like beasts, raising their cups and laughing at your pain. While one of them held your arms on your back, the other ripped your chemise in half, showing off your naked body to their hungry eyes.
“After I have my way with her, you can have her.” The same man who tried to kiss you growled while untying his tunic, but before he could do anything, another voice screamed from somewhere, putting everyone else in silence.
“Keep your cock to yourself, Harald.”
You widened your eyes, staring blankly over that man’s shoulder. Another man, a younger one this time, walked calmly from a hiding place deep into the woods. A small group of people, a few women included, followed him close behind.
“And why would I do that?”  The man you learned to be named ‘Harald’ turned on his back and answered with gritted teeth.
“Because I told you to.” His smug face sent shivers down your spine.
“I don’t feel like doing what you tell me to do, Ivar.”
“You say that like I care about what you feel like doing, Harald.” He sighed. “I am very sorry If I gave you the wrong feeling that you have a say on this, because you don’t.”
“Don’t forget you’re out here on my back, little Ivar. The ships out there are mine, most of the men here are mine.” He grunted, grabbing him by his arm angrily. “And I am getting tired of you Ragnarssons stepping in my way.”
“And you have five of us to worry about.” Another insignificant head sign and four more northmen gathered around them and pulled him off of Ivar who pulled his own sword out of his belt and pointed at his neck.
You took that chance to hit the man behind you with your elbow as strong as you could. He released you in surprise but before you were able to run another one grabbed you, hugging you tightly against his chest.
“Take her to my tent.” Ivar ordered firmly. “And you…” He pushed the sword into his skin. “Stay away from her.”
You were calmly taken to Ivar’s tent, your body was treated with a lot more care this time, the man behind you didn’t dare to look at your bare body, covering your shoulders with the heavy fur he had on his hand. Once you were inside, he made you sit down on a pile of other furs gathered on the floor. A minute later Ivar pulled himself in, only then you noticed his legs and his crutches.
“My name is Ivar.” He grunted tiredly while pulling a chair to sit down, shifting in pain. “This is my brother Hvitserk.” He pointed to him. “We are…”
“The Ragnarssons.” You interrupted them. “I heard the stories.”
“We are very sorry for the way you were treated before.” Ivar continued.
“Would you treat me differently sir?” You teased defiantly.
“I just saved your life.” He answered with a knowing smirk.
“With what intentions?” You insisted.
“The intention to save your life.” He shrugged.
“I don’t believe that.”
“Then what are you doing in my tent? You can go out there if you want.”
You didn’t answer that, looked over the tent opening and then down your lap.
“Go find Ubbe and our men.” Ivar dropped on the floor and crawled towards you. “Keep Harald and his dogs away from here.”
“Stop telling me what to do, Ivar.” Hvitserk talked finally and didn’t seem happy.
“So do you prefer to let them in?” He asked impatiently and his brother just grunted. “Bring me that bowl and a rag. You can leave after.”
Once both of you were alone, Ivar took the wet cloth close to your face but you slapped it away. He tried It again, you slapped it again. He tried one more time and you kept slapping It until he gave up and threw the cloth on your face. You took it yourself and started to wipe the stains of dry blood spread on your skin.
“You were brave out there.” He sighed without looking at you.
“Brave enough to defend myself when I am attacked? Even a dog has that courage…” You grunted out, wetting the cloth and once again taking it to your face, cleaning the fresh wounds.
“It’s not easy to do that once you’re held by a bunch of hungry dogs. They hurt and threatened you, still you didn’t make it any easier for them. It takes courage to do that.” He was looking at you while talking, you couldn’t help your wandering eyes to drop onto his legs. “You didn’t expect much help from a cripple, did you?”
“What happened to them?” You dared to ask.
“I guess I just wasn't the gods’ favorite.” He answered while looking at his legs and then back at you.
“There’s only one true God.” You hissed, moving your gaze away from that man.
“To you.” He answered knowingly. “That’s quite a boring statement to me, you know? I truly believe it’s not possible for only one God to look after this whole creation. That would be too much work for only one.”
“There’s no such thing as too much work for God. He takes care of all his creations, we are his children, he has power to take care of us all.”
“Yeah? And where were him while you were out there being hurt by Harald and his men?” He asked with a curious smile. “If you’re his child, why would he let you suffer so much?” You didn’t have the answer for that question, but couldn’t look away from Ivar’s gaze. “See, my Gods would never let bad things happen to their children, but not every viking out there is a son of a God. My father was. And so are we, me and my brothers.”
“You just said you’re not your gods’ favorite.”
“You saw my men looking down as I walked past them, didn’t you? That wouldn’t happen to any cripple.” He grunted once more. “I might not be the gods’ favorite, little one, but I’m certainly part of the good ones.”
You spent the next few days hiding inside Ivar’s tent. Hvitserk and a girl called Torvi would come in with food and water for you during the day, Ivar would come back by night and a man would always stay outside whenever you were alone. You didn’t feel like a prisoner, but never felt free to go either, not alone at least.
Every night you would watch while Ivar slept peacefully, snoring softly with one hand on his naked chest and the other under his head, never paying any mind to you, leaving his knives and weapons at your reach. Every night the idea crossed your mind, taking one of those knives, taking his life and running back to the city, back to Wessex and your old life, but that seemed so far away that you would always brush the thoughts away.
After days of sleeping only a few hours your body was giving up already, couldn’t bear to stay awake, but could never rest when sleeping, never letting yourself to lay down all of your defenses. Until one day, the silence outside gave you no warning about the abrupt pull on your ankles, your body was dragged outside the tent through the muddy ground until you felt his weight on you, his half naked body dragging over yours and the bad smell of ale coming out of his mouth.
“Little bunny got all alone tonight, what a pity.” He grunted while messily kissing your neck.
“Release me!” You mumbled, trying to push him off of you, struggling with your legs trying to avoid him between your thighs. “HELP!” You screamed as loud as you could.
“Keep screaming… I like that.”
You heard when he, once again, ripped your new chemise appart, his muddy hands staining your untouched skin, rubbing painfully. The drizzle turned into a full on rainstorm, the noise swallowing your screams when he finally made It between your thighs, taking one of his hands between your bodies. Once again, he tried to kiss you and you bit his lips as strong as you could, sticking your thumbs on his eyes and making him roll off of you in pain.
Without giving It a second thought, you ran. You ran as fast as you could through the woods, hearing while the drunk viking ran right after you, feelin the broken branches piercing through the skin of your feet, looking behind your shoulders trying to keep an eye on the man behind you. You ran for what felt like an eternity until you bumped into something, into someone and when you raised your eyes you couldn’t help but feel relieved.
“Ivar.” You mumbled, tugging at his armor, nuzzling into his body, hugging him tightly like he was your life line, the only thing keeping you breathing. You didn’t even notice the group of people surrounding him, when he wrapped you under his arm everything else vanished and all you could sense was him and the strange sense of safety he brought to you.
“What happened? What are you doing out here?” He asked, worry all over his tone as he grabbed the back of your neck, his body trembling while trying to keep you with one arm and hold the crutch with the other. “What happened, little one?”
You didn’t have to answer, Harald finally reached you and you felt Ivar’s body stiff against yours immediately. You turned your head a little looking at Harald over your shoulder. Then you hugged him tighter, hiding your face into the crook of his neck, closing your eyes and trying to completely erase Harald from your mind.
It took a few minutes of silence until Ivar hopped up his chariot with you under his arm, the storm was getting stronger by the minute and you refused to let go of his body. Still holding onto him, as Ivar left with the carriage, you looked around quickly, in time to see Hvitserk and Ubbe dismount from their horses and head towards Harald, you closed your eyes again and leaned into Ivar’s body, hugging him until you reached the camp.
He didn’t say anything, but every time you shook in fear, he hugged you tighter. Once you got there, both of you left the chariot behind with another man, and headed to his tent as fast as you could. He couldn’t hug you while walking, but he made sure to hold your hand until you finally entered the tent. Before you could say anything, someone else showed up and Ivar’s features immediately hardened.
“Ivar…” He started, but was interrupted just as fast.
“Out.” Ivar grunted under his breath, the young man looked at you, a silent plea before walking out. “Stay inside.” He ordered firmly to you before following his man out.
Your eyes followed him, the little spaces between the tent fabric showing half of the scene that was unwinding outside.
“What happened?” You heard as he asked angrily. “You left her alone?” He shouted.
“I got distracted for a moment and…” The young man stuttered in response.
Before he could finish, Ivar pulled his sword from his belt and moved towards him, you yelled in panic:
“No!” You jumped out of the tent towards Ivar grabbing his forearm before he could cut the poor man’s throat.
“What are you doing?” He yelled at you.
“No more killing!” You yelled back.
The storm was unrelenting, and even though It was hard to see, you watched as the adam’s apple on Ivar’s throat went up and down, as if he was carefully thinking about his next words. Your body was the only thing between Ivar and that man, you were his only protection.
“What are you talking about?? It’s his fault Harald almost…”
“It’s nobody’s fault but Harald’s. And even If It was his fault, his death wouldn’t change what happened.” You insisted. “I don’t want anyone getting killed in my name.”
“You should be honored.”
“Innocent blood spilled for nothing, there's no reason to be honored. I won’t be an excuse for another man’s death!”
Ivar looked at you like you were insane, but gave up eventually, dropping his sword and sighing loudly. He then pushed you inside the tent and looked over his shoulder before following you inside.
“I wonder if I had Harald under my sword you would have the same reaction.” He mumbled while starting to untie his upper body’s armor. “Not so innocent blood, right?”
“It’s not your right to take any man’s life.” You mouthed, crossing your arms around yourself. “He will be punished for his sins.”
“You seem very certain about that.” He grunted as he pushed his soaked tunic over his head, showing off the wounds on his chest. You looked away, turning your back at him. “I could use some help.”
“I can’t. You’re naked.” You answered shyly.
“Isn’t your god teaching you to help the ones in need?” You heard as he fell with a tud on the chair, a tiny whimper following right after. “I’m the one in need at the moment.”
“You can do it by yourself. I saw you do it by yourself before.” You insisted, looking over your shoulder discreetly and finding his sparkling blue eyes looking right back at you. You shivered, turning your face again.
“Yes, but before I wasn’t coming back from a battle. I’m wounded, little one.”
“I can’t… I can’t!”
Another muffled laugh sent shivers down your body, you heard while he struggled with the crutches, next thing he dropped on the ground and crawled over the makeshift bed, only in his trousers, as always. After sitting over the furs, he cleaned himself a bit before laying down completely, covering his body and protecting himself from the cold.
“You should take off these wet rags.” He grunted, looking at you.
“I don’t have anything else to put on.” You whispered in response.
He laughed again, a humorless laugh as he looked at you in disbelief.
“You don’t have anything to worry about, little one. There’s nothing working down my waist. Even If I wanted to do anything with you, I wouldn’t be able to.”
“I-I… I don’t believe you.” You looked at him with widened eyes.
“I guess you won’t be sharing the bed with me either.” He mumbled with a smirk.
“You know I won’t.”
“That’s a pity. It’s very warm down here.”
It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep, only then you went to your corner, sitting down on the ground hugging your own legs against your chest, trying to stay warm.  Either way, after the first hour your trembling body won the battle against your morals, you got rid of the ripped off rags and carefully laid down under the covers, right next to Ivar.
Your body warmed up almost immediately and you finally stopped shaking. You turned to your side, trying your best to keep some distance from Ivar but keeping an eye on him. He sighed suddenly and your body stiffed, scared he might try anything with you, but he just moved both of his arms under his head. You looked at him shyly, curiosity taking the best of you while you tried to understand what every figure painted on his chest could possibly mean.
“You’re staring.” His voice startled you.
“I-I thought you were sleeping.” You mumbled shyly.
“I was. You woke me up.” He turned his head to look at you, a grin plastered on his face.
“I am… Sorry.” You swallowed hard.
“Come.” He growled, pulling you into his arms, your naked chest pressed against his.
“What are you doing?” You snapped, pushing him away from you.
“Warming you up. Stop pushing me, I told you nothing can happen between us.” He insisted, but you kept pushing him away until you turned on your back, reaching for the knife he had left on the floor and quickly putting It against his neck.
“Killing me It’s a terrible plan, little one.” He whispered, his hands pressing against your back while you kept the knife against the skin of his neck. “But that’s your decision. So… Go ahead.”
Ivar raised his head giving you enough space to slit his throat If you wanted to. Your hands were shaking, your heart was racing against your chest and your breathing was erratic, you stared at him in panic.
“You’re insane.” You whispered.
“So I've been told.” He answered, moving his neck until the knife crossed the first layer of skin, a thin line of blood oozed down his neck. He then lowered his head, catching your gaze with his, a knowing grin spreading all over his face.
You didn’t notice he was moving, not until his lips touched yours softly. At first you freezed, widened your eyes staring blankly into his, but then you parted your lips a little, letting the viking suck your lower lip into his mouth. He pulled away, he seemed as surprised as you were.
“Will you take this off of my neck, little one?” He asked, and you nodded, pulling the knife away. “Let me kiss you again…” He inhaled, nipping at his bottom lip with a hopeful look, his eyes locked on yours.
Slowly, you pulled away a little, relaxing the grip around the knife. Ivar rolled off of you, laying on top of you, his thigh bending between your legs while his hands grabbed at your waist. He kissed you again, parting his lips and waiting until you parted yours so he could deepen the kiss, his tongue slowly massaging yours until he distracted you enough so he could take the knife from your hands and throw It away.
That was your first kiss and you blindly followed his silent commands, repeating his moves a little awkwardly. Ivar pulled away only when he had to breathe, and you followed his face with your eyes closed, yearning for his mouth. You didn’t see the smile forming on his lips before he kissed you again, grabbing your arms and putting ‘em around his own neck.
The weight of his chest kneading on your breasts was slowly making you ache between your legs and his thigh pressing against your core wasn’t helping either, every flex of his muscle sent shock waves through your body, your hips moving on its own accord seeking uncontrollably for the new sensation he was bringing to you.
Without noticing, Ivar started to do the same, grinding against your thigh, his right hand searching between your bodies until it found your breast, kneading at the flesh, teasing your nipple with the tip of his fingers.
When the air became thin again, Ivar dropped his lips to your neck, starting to suck purple marks from your sensitive skin, making you shudder. Your hands found his braided hair and you let slip the tiniest moan, dragging a low grunt from his throat.
His sinful mouth kept his tour down your body until his lips latched at your nipple, sucking and teasing the little nub until it became pebbled and did the same with the other, sucking it into his mouth like a newborn baby.
Ivar opened your legs with his hips and, giving no time for you to protest, licked down your belly until he found your core, latching at your wet folds, sipping at your juices like the finest, the sweetest wine. You widened your eyes at the new feeling, arching your back on the bed as you gripped the furs under your body.
“Ivar…” You moaned shyly. He didn’t stop, starting to suck on your clit feverishly, making you gasp.
He kept sucking on you, messily sucking on you until you were dripping through the corners of his mouth, you could sense your core getting wetter and wetter by the minute, a weird coil on your lower belly started to form and you felt like you needed to go to the bathroom. You tried to pull away from his grip, but both of his hands held your hips in place and you felt his tongue enter you, you moaned loud, calling his name, closing your eyes as you buckled up against his mouth.
“Ivar!” You called again, still trying to push him away.
Your legs started to shake and as the coil snapped you pressed his head between your thighs, moaning loudly when you reached your peak without actually knowing what had happened.
Ivar kept licking on you for what felt like an eternity, before stopping to look at you from down there. You closed your eyes and covered your face feeling utterly embarrassed. You felt as he moved but then he stayed quiet, you looked between your fingers just to see him in awe staring at his own cock. Curious, you finally uncovered your face and sat down, looking at him with a frown.
“It never happened before.” He murmured, still looking at his up and proud cock, head an angry shade of red, leaking profusely down his length. “It ne-never…” He raised his eyes to stare at you, eyes widened.
“What?” You asked in shock, eyes focusing on his impressive size.
“My cock. It never… Worked before.” He whispered, reaching for your hand, pulling it until you touched him. “I made you cum and got hard…”
“Be-because… Because of… Me?” You blinked, looking at him while letting him move your hand up and down his length.
Ivar closed his eyes, lips parting as he sighed heavily. You looked at him, feeling strangely proud of yourself. Your fingers slipped easily, he was wet and hot against your palm, and as he moaned softly, all you wanted was to keep dragging those beautiful sounds from him. But all of that was completely new territory for you, an open field, you didn’t want to hurt him.
“Ivar… H-help me… I don’t know what… What to do.” You whispered shyly, making him open his eyes, his beautiful, sparkling, glossy eyes staring down at you like you were some kind of treasure.
“You don’t…” He gasped as you pressed your fingers around his girth. “Have to… Oh Gods…” He moaned again, eyes now focused on your hand.
You smiled to yourself, releasing his cock and crawling over to him until you were sitting on your calves, right by his side. You raised your hand to touch him again, but he stopped you.
“Sit on me.” He commanded, hands on your hips trying to pull you in.
You widened your eyes, scared. You kneeled on the furs as he held your hips, opening your legs trying to make you straddle him. You held onto his shoulders for balance and grunted in fear.
“Wait… Wait… Ivar…”
He stopped and looked at you, he seemed just as nervous as you were. You swallowed hard, tears gathering on the corners of your eyes. You blinked scared and his grip loosened a bit, only then you felt his hands shaking.
“I’m… I’m sorry, little one.” He breathed and was about to release you when you held his hand.
“Won’t be comfortable for you…” You murmured shyly, moving away from his lap and kneeling beside him again, he blinked confused. “Can you… Can you lay down, please?”
He nodded, moving over the furs until he laid down completely. You took a deep breath before straddling him again, you were wet enough to drip onto his hard cock, either way Ivar licked his fingers and touched you, smearing your juices with his saliva, making you even more wet. With his other hand he held his length, lining It with your center, your hands on each side of his head, eyes focused on his waist.
“Look at me.” He asked and you obeyed, looking up at his face. “Are you sure?”
“Just… Just… Just… Wait a second…” You took a deep breath before closing your eyes and nodding.
“But I need you to look at me.” He begged, his voice was trembling just like his hands. You obeyed, looking down at him with hooded eyes.
Slowly, you began to sit down on him, the head of his cock pressing into you, opening you. You bit on your lower lip, the stretch burning against your walls as he slowly entered you. When he found a thin barrier he stopped completely, holding up your hips .
“Ivar…” You whined, looking at him with glossy eyes.
“Hug me.” He asked and you nodded, moving down on him until your head found the crook of his neck, hands on his shoulders.
He kept you in place for a few more minutes, your walls hugging tightly around him while he used all his strength to wait for your time, he didn’t want to hurt you, not too much at least. Your heart was beating fast and loud on your head, you were breathing rapidly, frantically.
“You’re doing so good for me.” He mumbled, lips finding the skin of your shoulders as he started to suck brand new marks on you. Taking his kisses to your neck, Ivar moved your hair from his way, starting to lick on your sensitive skin, doing his best to distract you again.
You started to moan, absently moving on your hips, your walls fluttering around his girth. You kissed him, holding his face, letting him push you down a little more. You whined against his lips, breathing heavily as he kept pushing you down until he was balls deep into you. Both of you parted the kiss so you could moan loudly, Ivar closing his eyes as he felt your walls gripping him like a vice.
“Oh gods… This is…This is Valhalla…” He groaned.
Your vision was blurred by your tears, you never felt that full before, or that vulnerable. Ivar’s hands started to run up and down your sweaty back, whispering praises into the shell of your ear like prayers to a god, to a goddess. His hips started to buckle, his throbbing cock twitching inside you as your walls shuddered and your hips started to grind down, unconsciously meeting his timid thrusts.
“That’s It, little one, that’s it.” He mumbled in awe, both of his closed as he pressed you against his body.
Ivar covered your shoulder skin in kisses, thrusted up into you very slowly, waiting for you to meet down with your hips. Your cries were muffled against his neck, but as the burning sensation started to fade, your body started to seek the same feeling he brought to you with his mouth.
With your hands on each side of his head, you raised your upper body, unconsciously pressing your hips down even more, the new angle making the head of his cock nudge against a spot inside you, you had no idea was there, but sent electric shock waves through your body and dragged a loud mewl from your throat. You did It again, rolling your lips until you found that same spot, Ivar’s hands finding home on your hips letting you move the way you wanted.
“You’re so beautiful…” He whispered, looking at your throbbing slit. “So beautiful, little-oh-little one…”
Ivar moaned, one of his hands leaving your hip to knead on your breast, your hands quickly meeting his, covering them while you started to move a little faster. Your eyes rolled back into your skull, the feeling on your lower belly started to show up again, making you roll your hips faster. You felt when his hand snaked around your neck, squeezing softly. Your breath hitched and you gasped, his free thumb met your throbbing clit while you began to bounce up and down on his cock.
It was like your body knew exactly what you needed, while your brain went completely blank except for Ivar’s name, your hips circled, rolled and bounced naturally. Both your hands clung to the one he had around your neck, the coil on your belly became tighter and tighter by the minute and the mewls escaping through your parted lips mixed with Ivar’s grunts, filling the tent and probably soaring outside too.
“Ivar…” You started but got cut off by one particularly deep thrust, moaning softly.
“I know. I got you, you can cum on my cock. Make a mess for me, please.” His pleas came out as a broken cry, the sound went straight to your core, the coil snapped finally and you felt yourself clenching down on his cock. Ivar followed you close behind, a warm liquid spurted inside you and dripped down your core onto his cock and pelvis.
With your eyes closed, you fell on his chest, breathing heavily while he hugged you tightly, one hand on your head, caressing your hair while the other pressed down on your back. You stayed like this for a moment, Ivar’s cock slipping out of you after a minute or two. His chest went up and down against yours, rapidly after first, but then slowed down and yours followed.
Ivar moved under you and you squealed in surprise, moving your head to look at him, at his neck to be more specific. He looked down, his eyes meeting yours making you blush and hide your face on the curve of his neck, avoiding his gaze. He laughed softly.
“No need to get all shy on me now.” He whispered, moving the strands of hair from your face.
“It’s easier saying it than doing it.” You answered, still hiding.
He laughed again, keeping his hands on your body and for whatever reason, none of that felt wrong, quite the opposite. But you still didn’t know what to say, your brain started working fast, seeking for the dark side of that, of him. Slowly you became scared of the future.
“Am I still your prisoner?” You asked after some time.
“You never were.” He answered quickly. “But…”
“But what?”
“I don’t want you to go. I’ll be sad if you go.”
You finally looked at him, he looked back. Ivar seemed so young and vulnerable, far away from the scary man you were used to seeing.
“I want you to stay, little one. Stay with me.” He begged, hand meeting the side of your face and you unconsciously leaned into his hand.
You didn’t answer right away, after a moment he fell asleep and you finally found the courage to run away, you grabbed one of Ivar’s tunics and ran, making room for yourself through the woods until you finally reached the gates of Wessex. The guards saw you and immediately opened It, your fiancée jumping down the stairs until he reached you on the floor, pulling you in for a hug.
“Thank God you’re safe.” He whispered. “I thought I lost you forever!” He grabbed your face with both of his hands, leaning his forehead against yours.
Everything you knew was different then. Your hometown, your fiancée, your life. Looking into his eyes didn’t bring you any comfort or sense of safety, not as you found with Ivar. He looked at you for a moment before frowning.
“What did they do to you?” He asked angrily.
“Nothing.” You answered, holding his hands and pulling them away from your face. “I just need to go home, please.” You whispered.
He then covered your body that was half naked to protect you from prying eyes and walked you to the house you lived with your sister. Your parents had died years before, living both of you by yourselves, as soon as you got there she hugged you tightly, crying softly on your shoulder.
“I’m so sorry!” She whispered on your neck. “I shouldn’t have left you alone in the church.”
“It’s past now.” You tried to calm her down.
“Come, I’ll help you clean yourself.”
You said goodbye to your fiancée while she prepared a bath for you. As soon as you entered the wooden tub, the stains of blood between your thighs turned the water slightly pink. Your sister saw It but didn’t say anything, helping you to clean yourself completely. Moments later, you were sitting on your bed, covered in a clean dress while she brushed your hair.
“Are you alright?” She asked shyly and you just nodded in response.
As soon as you found yourself alone, you looked out of the window of your room, the night started to paint the sky a dark shade of blue that reminded you of his eyes. You felt deeply empty, for whatever reason, Ivar was the only thing on your mind. You looked around, none of that felt as familiar as his arms, as warm as his bed. You hugged yourself, feeling dirty, tears gathering around your eyes as you found yourself missing him.
Later, the screaming outside your house woke you up and just like you felt the drops of the rain on your skin on a stormy day, you felt his presence. You got up, sat up on your bed and looked out of the window again. The impulse was uncontrollable, you just left. Ran through your door, towards the noise because you knew he would be there.
When your eyes found his, the sparkling blue lit up under the dim light of the fire surrounding him. He surely seemed like a god bringing chaos into your lull. He seemed hurt, he looked at you angrily at first, but then the relief painted down his features.
Your fiancée grabbed you by your forearm, dragging you through the mess of screaming people while you struggled to get released, you screamed but he didn’t seem to hear you. For a moment you gave up until you heard his voice, right behind you both. He approached in his chariot, crossing in front you and stopping you in your tracks.
Ivar didn’t say anything, he looked at you. He looked at you and for the very first time you felt truly seen. He offered you his hand and without a second thought you jumped into his chariot, straight into his arms. He then smiled at you, beautifully, dragging a smile from your lips before kissing you feverishly.
“Let’s go home, little one.” He whispered against your lips, before leaving all that mess behind.

Chapter 14 - Final Chapter
He is in a meeting when his phone vibrates in his pocket. Well, it’s not really a meeting, more of an information gathering session in a warehouse involving sharp instruments and spilled blood. He’s been taking on more and more of these ‘meetings’ since she disappeared, a good way to expel some of his rage and sadness productively.
He walks away from the man he is dealing with, wipes his hands on a cloth and gets his phone out to an interesting message on his screen.
One of her passports was used to get into the country three hours ago.
A smile quirks onto his lips very briefly followed by a deep inhalation of breath.
“You, take over from here. Just kill him. I’ve got the information I need now.”
He hears a gunshot behind him as he heads out to his armoured SUV to take him back to the estate.
When he arrives back he doesn’t go to the main house but straight to their house. He knows Ragnar would have got the same message and he needs to check something out first before he sees his father. He hurries to their shared closet, still full of her clothes and he pulls out the black shoes with the red soles, her stash spot, pulling out an untraceable phone. He turns it on and waits. The phone beeps twice. Two messages. Both from anonymous numbers, both from her.
Coming home. Too dangerous now.
See me before they get to me? I will come alone. I miss you so much.
He texts back quickly.
Yes. Will message soon. I love you. Thank you for all the photos last week, baby.
As he stashes the phone back he lets his finger run over the notebook that took him less than three days to decipher. One of the reasons he searched so hard for her and established secret communication. He cried for days when he broke the code and read her words. An anthology of love, dating from the night they met, describing every feeling she ever had for him, her deep love, the light he had reignited inside her after years of living in the black. Much as he had before he met her. The reasons why she acted as she did after Sardinia, the threats made against his life, the coldness she showed him when underneath she felt nothing but adoration. She explained it all in a diary she never intended for anyone to read. Her soul lives in these pages, and so does his.
Always and forever, no matter how far apart.
———————
He heads to the main house and into his fathers study.
”I am sure you’ve seen the message. She has returned.” Ragnar says without looking up from his papers.
Ivar nods. “I’ll take care of it. She will contact me soon, I’m sure of it.”
Ragnar looks up and stares into his son's eyes, carbon copies of his own. “Will you be able to finish the job this time? She cannot live, Ivar. She simply must die. If you feel like you can’t do it, or she will get the drop on you again I’ll send a whole team to hunt her down.”
“I’ll do it father. She is my responsibility. I will not fuck it up again. I’ll let you know when she contacts me and what the plan is from there.”
Ragnar nods in agreement and rounds his desk to embrace his son. “I am sorry for this, sorry it has to be done. You understand though?”
“I do. It’s been a long time coming,” Ivar says tersely, “I’ll speak to you soon.”
———————
He leaves the estate in his own vehicle, he drives for an hour and no one is following him. He pulls into a multi-storey car park and switches cars and drives for an hour to another car park and does the same.
It’s dark by the time he reaches the hotel. A shitty, off the track hotel he’d never be seen dead in usually. He walks as quickly as he can to a door and knocks three times.
The door opens a fraction and he pushes it the rest of the way, slowly revealing his wife to him. She has her gun pointed at him.
“Alone?”
“Alone, baby.” He steps in and shuts the door behind him before they walk quickly towards each other, arms pulling the other into a tight embrace, clinging to the other, tears falling.
“I missed you so much, Liet.”
“Fuck I missed you so much too.”
They pull at each other’s clothing, frantic to get the other naked as quickly as possible. When their goal is managed they fall onto the crappy, lumpy hotel bed together on their sides, her leg over his waist before he pushes her onto her back and he crawls over her, their mouths attached the whole time. She grabs his hard cock and lines him up a half a second before he pushes deep into her.
Their mirrored groans into each other’s mouths make them giggle.
“Fuck, love, you feel so good,” he says into her mouth before moving her inside of her, drawing deep, low moans from her. “I missed you every second of every day.”
“Me too, Ivar. Harder, please, harder!”
Their fingers dig into each other's skin, pulling into the other, trying to close the millimetres left between their bodies, a desperate need to feel every part of the other, a desperate need to fill the two year gap since they last were with each other physically.
It takes no time for their knowledge of each other’s bodies to kick in and they make each other orgasm. Shuddering against each other, the air blue with obscenities.
When they finally loosen their grip on the other they stay as close as possible, noses touching, laying on their sides, hands running up each other’s backs.
“Hi, baby,” he laughs out.
“Hi, love,” she giggles in reply.
They just stare at each other, who knows for how long. Long enough for him to run his hand through her longer hair. To run his fingers over some new scarring on her body. Long enough for her to touch his thigh where she inflicted a break. Long enough to revel in his eyes and compare them to his.
“Anyone since us, Ivar? Are you happy?”
“No one. No one ever again. Always and forever, baby. You?”
“Never for me, Ivar. You and only you. I need you to be happy again though. After all this.”
Ivar waves his hand as if dismissing her words. There is no point in lying to her, pretending he will ever let anyone in again so he just changes the subject.
“I did what you asked, love, I killed Lev.”
Her eyes fill with tears and she lets out a giggle of relief. “Thank you, Ivar. How?”
“I peeled his skin off slowly and I made him watch videos of us when we were happy, after the accident. He begged for your forgiveness and his life in the end, love.”
A nasty sneer flashes across her face. “Good, he deserves every second of pain you inflicted on him.”
A comfortable silence settles between them again before Ivar breaks it. “Where is he, Liet?”
“He’s safe I promise. I will need to get back to him in the early morning. That’s why I’m back, it’s too dangerous now. I’ve had too many close calls and I’m frightened for him. He needs stability, Ivar. I’m done running. I’m here to face what I need to, and to give you your son. You need to keep him safe from now on. I can’t offer him that any longer.”
Ivar knew this is why she had come back. Knew his men had almost caught her in Belize. Had heard rumours of her father almost tracking her down in Peru. Ivar almost gave himself away numerous times trying to throw them off her and their sons scent, Ragnar was suspicious at one point and that was when the Belize incident happened. He had warned her but a little too late. He begged her to bring his son back to him but she wasn’t ready.
She is ready now.
Ivar clears his throat, trying to dislodge the ball in it. “I am going to talk to my father. Things are different now, with the baby. I… I’ll talk sense into him. We can be toget…” the rest of his sentence is cut off by her lips crashing his. When she pulls away she gives him a little smile.
“Ivar. We’ve talked about this. Your father will not allow me to live, for his reputation and his own peace of mind. I knew coming back here it would be the end for me, I’m under no illusion I will not die tomorrow. I thought you had come to terms with it, baby?” She runs her hand over his furrowed brow and her thumb wipes a tear away. “Even if Ragnar allowed it, which he absolutely will not, I wouldn’t allow it. If my father knew I was back, knew about our son, he would never stop coming for me, for him. He wouldn't stop until we were all cold in the ground, everyone, your mother, father and brothers. There would be no peace until he had our son in his care. I can not allow that. I’m here so our baby can have a life without being hunted for the mistakes I made.” She is aware her voice isn’t as soft as she would like it to be, but she also knows that Ivar responds to this cold, detached hard truth. “I have loved you enough for a whole lifetime, this is how it has to be, love. You know this.”
He doesn’t reply, he nods stiffly and a silence settles between them.
“Liet. He will always know about you, I’ll never let him forget how much you love him, how much we love each other. No one will poison his mind against you.”
His heart breaks entirely to pieces as she crumbles down in front of him. She knows this is her last night on this Earth. Her actual last night this time. She is giving herself up for the sake of their baby. Their 14 month old baby who has his fathers eyes nestled in the features of his mother.
The greatest sacrifice a mother can make.
“Ivar, try to raise him out of this life. I know that won’t be easy, but send him to college, make him useful away from the violence. Make sure my father doesn’t get to him. Make sure Ragnar doesn’t ruin him. I’m trusting you with our baby, Ivar. You need to do for him what my past had robbed from me, a chance at a happy future. Be soft with him, like you are with me. Be loving and supportive no matter who he turns out to be or the choices he makes. Show him my Ivar, not the Ivar everyone else sees. Promise me?”
“I promise. I will be the best father,” Ivar says resolutely.
She gives him a genuine smile. “I have absolutely no doubt that you will.”
“Tell me more about him, baby.”
They spend the next few hours talking about him, his likes, his dislikes, how he sleeps curled up next to her every night with his favourite Elephant cuddly. She explains how rough the next few months will be for Ivar, he is his daddy but FaceTime can’t replicate a real connection. She explains how to best comfort him, what songs to sing him and how to make him laugh, what she wants for him in the future. She tells Ivar she has written letters for when he is older so he can understand what happened, but that it will be up to Ivar to judge when and if he feels their son can handle the information. Ivar says nothing, he just soaks up every word.
“I think that’s it.” She glances at her watch.”I will send you a text at 11am to tell me to meet me at 4pm. Your father will intercept it, we both know he will send someone. Just…. Just cover his eyes before, promise me you won’t both watch me die.”
“I promise. I promise you. We have 8 hours until I need to be home to get the message.”
“8 hours.”
“Those hours are for us and us only.” He reaches for his phone, and taps until the room is filled with music.
Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac.
He stands up and holds his hand out to her. “Come dance with me one last time, baby.”
Her eyes mist over again as she goes to him, clinging to him tightly. She closes her eyes, compartmentalises the coming day and enjoys every second they have remaining.
————————-
9am rolls around and it’s time for him to go.
They cling to each other before she loosens her grip and grabs his face, pulling it closer to hers.
“In the next life, Ivar. I will find you in the next and every life we have after. Look after our baby.”
He holds her face, forehead touching hers. “This life and the next. I love you. I will keep him safe. I promise on everything I am, my beautiful Liet. The bravest person I’ve ever met, my fighter, my Valkyrie.”
They share a kiss, a kiss so full of love, pain, admiration and promise that they both smile and cry as they pull away and he leaves.
—————————
His phone beeps dead on 11am.
Meet me at warehouse 2c at 4pm. Just you. I have something for you.
He enters the main house to his father waiting in his study.
“You saw the message?” he asks his Father.
“I did. I wonder what she has for you?”
“A bullet in my brain I would imagine?”
Ragnar regards him, hard eyes travelling over his face. “Take your gun. You shoot her on sight. There is nothing she has that we need, nothing she can give you worth anything. Kill her and we can all move on.”
Ivar nods quickly. “That is my plan.” He turns to walk out of his fathers office.
Ragnar waits until the heavy slam of the front door hits his ears before picking up his phone. “4pm. The docks. Set up a sniper. Kill her if he hesitates.”
——————-
Ivar pulls up to the warehouse and sits for a second. He closes his eyes and breathes deeply, trying to stop the flow of tears that have been cascading down his face the whole 45 minute ride over. His heart is ripping to shreds inside his chest, despite having years to come to terms with it, a tiny sliver of bright hope lit his black soul thinking they could be a family one day. His rational brain knew it would never happen, she told him weekly it would never be the case, but the fact that the end is now is too much for him to bear.
But bear it he must. Not for her, or himself, but for their beautiful son.
He walks into the warehouse and his trained eyes see the minuscule glint from the sniper rifle up high in the corner. He will be sure to tell his father about the snipers fuck up.
His eyes find her, standing in the centre of the massive room, her back to him. His heart stops. She hasn’t brought the baby, he can’t see his son. When he is close enough he gets his gun out and points it at her.
“Liet?”
She turns slowly, their baby asleep in her arms, she doesn’t look at Ivar, she doesn’t take her eyes off their baby, soaking in every last second she has with him. He lowers his weapon as soon as he sees his son.
“The sniper is shit, love. I spotted him the second I walked in,” she chuckles lightly, “tell Ragnar I said he needs better men.
————
The sniper can’t hear what they are saying, and neither can Ragnar watching from his office from a camera feed attached to the rifle.
“Sir, she has a baby in her arms.”
“I can see that.”
“Shall I take the shot?”
“No. Do not dare. I’m pretty sure I am looking at my grandchild.” Ragnars eyes are full of tears. It’s been years since anything elicited such emotion from him. He understands now why Ivar has tried to keep her safe these past two years, not just out of love for her, but a fathers love for his child.
Ragnar wipes his eyes and rolls his shoulder. “Be ready. This is an exchange. When it’s done I will give the word.”
—————
Julietta gives Ivar a look of pure love. “Ready, baby? When I hand him to you I need you to turn away and walk out. Don’t watch me die, love. Okay?”
Ivar’s nods twice. They step towards each other, he drops his gun on the floor so he can embrace her one last time. With their foreheads touching, and tears on their faces she hands the baby to Ivar, bends down, sniffs the baby's head and kisses him before turning her attention back to his father, placing a slow kiss on his lips.
“In the next life, love,” she says
“Always and forever,” he replies.
She takes two steps back and Ivar swivels on his heels, clinging to his son, lurching away on his crutch.
———-
“Sir, shall I take the shot now?”
Ragnar is silent. His heart is breaking for his son but he knows what must be done. Even if he saw fit to let her live Ragnar knows her own father would never stop coming for her and if he were ever to catch up with her he would torture her to death. Ragnar rolls his shoulders and clenches his teeth.
———-
Ivar hears the pop and the whizz of the bullet from the sniper fly past him. He hears the grunt from her chest on impact and he hears as she falls to the floor with a thud.
The tears in his eyes blind him, he squeezes his eyes shut to clear them. He wants to scream up into the universe, make the whole world hear his pain. But he looks into the face of his sleeping son in his arms and knows he won’t, he won’t scare him. So he holds it in, to be let out at a later time when his son is not with him.
He will be the best father to their son
For her.
His beautiful Liet.

Shows: Vikings and X-men

Warning this contains: mentions of r@pe, no actual r@pe just mentioning it, and angst and some fluff in the beginning
Tumblr media
you don't know how you got here.
‘here’ being a old mediaeval looking town where the houses are little huts made of twigs and straw instead of brick and concrete, where the roads are dirt and the air smells of animal and human faeces.
you had fallen asleep at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters and had awakened just outside the perimeter of a small docile village where they rely on animal meat and farming crops for food, instead of pillaging and plundering as was the norm in this time, you had come to learn that you were in the Vikings era, and you could only thank god that you had learned old Norse back home.
At first the people of the town were sceptical of this stranger but when they saw that you were just a scared and confused girl seeking help and shelter, they welcomed you with open arms.
After a few months you had grown close to a lovely old couple whose home was a little shack a bit far from the village and when they later asked to adopt you as your grandparents, how could you say no?
Of course you mourn your famil-place back home and other things that had made life easier but you felt like you truly belonged here, working and helping.
At Xavier's you had felt alone and exiled, even by the person who gave birth to you, Ororo Munroe or more commonly known as Storm.
you didn't know why but you suspected it had something to do with your father and why your birth giver can't-couldn't even look you in the eyes.
you had come to accept that you couldn't return home if you couldn't even figure out what had sent you to this time.
To take you mind off the school you became busy, volunteering your time whenever you could, Sometimes you would take care of the children and other times you would join the men for hunting though you forgot that women were much more suppressed in this time than the 21st century but you had proven yourself time and time again that you could do anything any one of them could do.
“Stuck in your head again girl?” a voice sounded behind you, snapping you out of your reminiscing.
chucking you stood turning to see your afi, “always” you replied a content smile on your face before you and your afi both turn hearing your Amma calling out to you “come quick we have to leave before midday if we want to be back before sun down”
Where were you going? To the old market place just south of home, a place where anyone can go to sell or buy what they need at any time and if anyone dared to make a ruckus there were always warriors there to step in who were looking to sell slaves and other goods, so only fools would try anything.
The ride over was peaceful and beautiful, you had come to appreciate all the things that humankind had taken away over the years in your time, here, you could clearly see the stars and away from any town you could smell the fresh air from the trees.
After a bit you can hear the market before you see it, a bustling place with nearly hundreds of people and animals, furs and trinkets to sell and buy and all seemed fine but something didn't feel right, something in the air has been nagging at you telling you that there was something just wrong.
“Is there something bothering you y/n?” your afi asked, concern written on his face.
“No afi I'm fine, just a thought, is all ” you told him letting your eyes wander while you walk behind them, this is your first time in the market after all.
while looking at all the things the market has to offer you spot a figure, a man you realise, on the ground, crawling, with four males leading in front, you take note of his legs, how they seem to dangle after him before realising why he's on the ground,
‘He's crippled, like Xavier’ suddenly you look to the right and your eyes meet, ‘’stunning’ you think to yourself, bright blue-grey iris’s meet yours before you realise that you had been left too far behind and rushed to catch up to your Amma.
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
No one had seen it coming, the once bright sunny day had turned into dark clouds looming over the market
Screaming and crying was all that you could hear, everyone rushing to escape with their lives and their families, you tried to look for your grandparents but with all of the running and people flailing, they were nowhere to be found, until the raiders formed a circle around the market blocking all of the exits.
Quickly and quietly you roll under a stall, fabrics hiding you from view, you hope none of the men had spotted you and that your grandparents had escaped or were hiding as well.
Big burly men on horseback, cheering for their victory On the defenceless, ‘cowards’ you thought watching and hiding, as they round up all of the people to pick them apart, some to sell as slaves, some to keep and others to kill.
The woman they shoved into a tent, the men they bound and gagged in a circle they had cleared.
You could see it all, from your hiding spot, when you were interrupted in your musing by one of the thieves dragging someone behind them, to who appears to be their leader, the person he was holding was a  man by the look of them, their head was down but, as you realise with growing dread, you could recognise the clothing.
‘No’ you knew that shirt ‘please’ you knew the stitching ‘why’ you knew the fabric, what it felt like ‘No please god, no’ because you helped stitch that shirt, he lifted his head, it was your afi.
Your heart pounding, your eyes wide you took a shaky breath as quiet as you could before you closed your eyes, just for a moment, ‘get it together, you are a hero, a mutant with so much power’ then the voice in the back of your head spoke up ‘you can't use them on humans! It's wrong!’ taking a moment to get your head right, you were sure of your decision.
You opened your eyes, to make eye contact with your afi, his eyes widened in panic before subtly shaking his head, but your mind was made up. You still haven't seen your Amma but you assumed she was with the other females.
Determination filled you, knowing there was no one coming to save them or you. you rolled, coming out of the other side of the stall and crawling to a different vantage point.
you count 8, maybe 15, including their leader, guys all of them drinking and going through the market taking and pillaging whatever caught their eye.
You took them out one by one, coming up behind them and either knocking them over the head or choking them out making sure to hide them or tie and gag them, you had just taken out the 6th and was tying him up before all of a sudden there's someone behind you, a knife pressed against your throat stopping you in your tracks.
“Well look who we have here” you felt his hot breath and smelt the booze on his breath as he leaned to talk in your ear.
The ogre led you to the man in charge, in front of the circle, pushing you down and making your knees hit the ground before he explained what he saw.
“Huh, a woman taking out my 6 men?!” he shouted, red faced “then maybe we should teach her a lesson” a dark grin on his face.
“No!” your afi suddenly shouted, “she's just a girl” you looked at him with wide eyes, you knew how this usually went, and you were right.
“Öh you know the lady huh” the leader of the psychopaths laughed “Well then, I was just just going to let my men defile her but I have a better idea” his words sending shockwaves over your body.
You wished you weren't so right all of the time
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\//\\//\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
You can only watch as the madman beat your afi, the man who taught you how to hunt like him, how to fish like him, the man who has taken care of you and loved you like a grandparent should, Like a parent should, and there's nothing you could do but watch as he was mercilessly beat in front of you.
The more the ugly man hit, the more blood came from your afi’s face and the more squelching noises you had to listen to.
You hadn't realised you closed your eyes until they were open again, no longer hearing the noises, grunts or whimpers of pain, somehow hoping that he wasn't that badly hurt, that the noises were just your imagination playing a trick on you but no, when you finally opened your eyes you made direct eye contact with- nothing, his eyes held nothing, no pain no hurt no anger no sadness no happiness and no emotion, your afi’s eyes had no life, your afi’s eyes were lifeless.
It hit you like a truck, he was gone, and you would never see him again
Tears leaked from your eyes before the sadness was overtaken by something else.
An emotion that burned like a flame and spread, sending tingles through your veins, an emotion that made you clench your fist, that made you feel unbeatable.
Rage.
No ones pov-
Everyone felt the shift in the air, the sudden electric feel in the air, most of the men were looking up or still at the dead body, but one was just looking at the girl, the cripple with the pretty eyes, he noticed she was muttering to herself, before the leader of the bandits did.
“Huh what are you saying girl stand up and tell me” he laughed at her, even harder when she did stand, before she lifted her head, and what he saw stunned him into silence.
Her eyes which were a Y/E/C before were now glowing white her expression, one of anger, even with the dried tears on her face she looked like a-
“monster!” she shouted in harmony with a loud bang, dirt flying everywhere.
When the dust settles they couldn't believe their eyes, she looked like a goddess in mortal clothing, her feet aren't touching the ground, her hair floating in the wind, that she was creating,
But the most important thing was what was surrounding her, lightning sparks and crackles of thunder followed.
Immediately all of the people that could see her bowed in reverence, and the bastard leader fell back in fear, her unforgiving eyes trained on him “im sorry ok?” he shouted in fear “i'll never do it again” .
The next and last thing he heard was “no you won't” before he was struck and a flash of white hot pain hit him, the next thing he knew was darkness.
Your pov-
You killed him, you killed a man, a man who killed your loved one, who killed your father figure.
But it doesn't feel different, not any better, you can't bring him back, you realise with despair, your mind coming back to you.
You lowered to the ground letting your abilities retreat, before you turned to mourn your Afi, when you came to a different site than before, all of the men, even the bandits were kneeling on the ground, some begging for mercy and others wet themselves in fear of you.
You made eye contact with him again, the man from before, his head was slightly bowed but his eyes looking straight at your face, you knew what he was saying.
Squaring your shoulders you ordered the rest of the bandits to release the prisoners and grab their friends and run “if you dare to return” you pause “i'll kill you and make sure you're sent down to the deepest pits of Niflheim”, and run they did with their tails between their legs.
You saw the women reunite with their husbands, mothers with their children, fathers with their daughters and family with family, it felt good, knowing that you did this your the reason that it's happening, but you had lost your family as well.
She saw you before you saw her, your Amma ran to hug you, trembling and sobbing as though she knew what had happened. And she explained that she did, she saw it all.
’because i was too late to save him’

Ivar x Reader (Forced Marriage)
A.N: Do you guys want another part or is this just a horrible oneshot made by my daddy issues?
Summary: Being Sigurd's wife, you were used to him arguing with his younger brother, but when things get too far, you somehow end up being forced to marry Ivar.
TW: Forced marriage (?), SA, curse words, violence, abuse, bit of spitting. Generally a lot of heavy stuff that a lot of people aren't comfortable with.
Tumblr media
You hated him. Absolutely. And you were sure he reciprocated the feeling, but his big fat ego and pride led you to this moment.
You had only bitten back a smile when Ivar and Sigurd were fighting, just after you had gotten married to the latter. It was a marriage of convinience for the both of you, knowing Sigurd wasn't at all interested in females and you wanted to escape the countless men thirsting after you.
Sigurd wasn't the easiest, but you had bonded with him throught your love for music. And next thing you knew, Ivar had grabbed you by the throat, a knife to your throat.
You were just a way for him to release his rage and grief. But when Sigurd spoke up and told him to leg you go, the usual snarky tone prominent in his voice it seemed to set the younger Viking off even more. Before your husband could laugh at his smart insult at his brother, prodding the matter that hurt him the most, he was laying at the floor motionless, his eyes empty of light and no sing of life in his limp body.
And so Ivar married you. He grieved Sigurd, you could see the regret and realisation in his eyes, but his stupid rage blinded him once again. You knew denying him would mean joining your friend, but a death like that would never get you in Valhalla.
Ivar paused, seeing you sitting on the bed already when he entered your bedroom. He closed the door behind him but by the time he turned around, you had gotten close to him, one hand grasping his tunic.
"What are you doing?" He took in a sharp breath, his eyes going back and forth on your hand and eyes.
"It's our marriage night, My Prince."
He hummed in acknowledgement at your statement, understanding the situation, but he still seemed confused. "Did my brother touch you?"
That made you pause. Being smart about it would only get him angry, you knew better than defend Sigurd right now. "Ivar, Sigurd was... not interested."
"Was that your fault?"
"My Prince, I think you are aware of what your brother's... preferences were. I think he wouldn't be interested in any woman." You stopped him before the conversation could progress, and your lips softly touched his only for a moment before you pulled away and locked your gazes.
He bit his bottom lip, seemingly aware that you didn't do this because you actually cared about him. He just wanted to believe you, and it made everything a lot easier.
He initiated another kiss, just as soft as the other one and let his hands rest on your waist and pull you into him. You almost forgot who he really was, meeting softness you could have never guessed this man was ever capable of. He was anxious everytime your lips parted, they wouldn't meet again even as his tongue entered your mouth and started to explore it.
You gripped the knife behind your back tighter, preparing to stab him. Albeit a Viking, you weren't a very good warrior, prefering to go on raids rarely and only to take care of people and get inspiration for your music. Stabbing Ivar like this... if you didn't succeed right away you would face horrible consequences. You barely missed his neck as he moved and lost his balance, landing right in top of you on the floor as the knife fell on some far away corner of the room.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?!" He yelled, his composure long lost. To think those soft kisses were only a lie so you could kill him... you weren't any better than him, you were not the prideful woman you presented yourself as, but a cunning, manipulative bitch.
"That's right. He wouldn't be interested in anybody with a smaller cock than his. And you don't even have one." He laughed, remembering your previous conversation. "You found your husband funny, no? You laughed at his last joke. I am your husband now, but you don't seem very amused."
"You are a bad joke, cripple." You muttered, titling your head to meet his eyes. The sadistic smile on his face didn't give it away, but you could see the anger behind his eyes.
They were so blue, so beautiful, but so cruel.
"Am I not man enough for you? Is that it? But my brother was?" He gritted his teeth as he pulled on your hair, forcing your head back. "Answer me."
You spat on his face, but he only wipped it off, amusement and hate prominent in his features. "You laughed when he called me impotent, perhaps I should show you otherwise. It is our wedding night after all, you said so yourself."
"Don't touch me--" He raised himself enough to flip you around under him, your face now against the furs on the floors.
"Or what? You will try to stab me? Who would justify your murder, just because I wanted to touch you on our wedding night?"
"Ivar-- Ivar please-!" You inhaled sharply, trying to contain the tears in your eyes as he ripped the back of your dress and pressed his clothed erection against your bare ass.
Ivar was shocked himself. He really did think he was impotent, he never lusted over a woman like his brothers, and the Margrethe incident didn't help his insecurities. So why did you, a woman that barely had any experience herself and tried to kill him have him hard because of a few kisses.
His wife, he reminded himself. He just wanted to scare you at first, but now he actually wanted-- needed to feel you. It felt like he knew what he was doing as he let his hand wander from your hair down your body and to your pussy, feeling the slightly wet area. He felt you shiver as he kissed your neck and slowly pushed two fingers inside you, the hands he had pinned on top of your head now struggling against his grip again.
"Unless you want me to finish inside you until I am sure you are bearing my heir, stop fighting against me, wife." Even he questioned his own actions. He could just use your velvety thighs, or just push himself inside you and be done with it.
So why was he, a man that detested you kissing your neck trying to get you wet and open you up, and savoring every little sound you tried so hard to bite back? It didn't make sense.
In reality, it hurt. Your wrists were sure to bruise from his grip, his teeth nibbling on your neck clumsily felt weird and your whole body hurt on the furs, his whole weigh holding you down. The tears you held back hurt the most of all, along with the sounds of pleasure fighting to escape you as his fingers moved inside you.
"Ivar..." You meant to insult him, but it only came out as a meowl of his name as he rubbed against you. You could feel his disgusting smirk against your neck at the clench of your walls around his fingers.
"If I didn't know any better I would say you are enjoying this." He groaned as you raised your hips in an attempt to roll him over and slammed you down, roughly biting your neck.
Your gasped in pain, your nails digging in his hands. He licked over the bite and took his fingers out of you to line himself up against you.
"Stop, stop please. Ivar, w-we can learn to get along and make this work, I know you didn't actually want to marry me because you care about me. Please don't do this." You begged him, but didn't dare to meet his gaze this time.
"Should have thought about that sooner princess." He mumbled and pushed himself inside you slowly, his eyes nearly rolling to the back of his head at the feeling of your walls hugging perfectly around him.
"Y-You bastard!" You groaned and finally freed your arms and clenched the furs under you. He started moving slowly, testing the waters and you couldn't hold the tears in anymore. You let them run down, sniffling and whimpering more the harder and deeper he went.
His tongue sweeped across your cheek, wipping the salty liquid away from your face but that only made you cry harder. It hurt, but the fact it felt good and that Ivar was the one doing this were far wprse than the physical pain you were feeling.
"F-Fuck."He groaned m, his thrusts getting sloppy. You didn't even bother -or trust yourself- to plead him to pull out, the screams you held under your tears at the knot in your belly tightening would spill out right away if you tried to speak.
"Open your mouth." He panted, and seeing as you ignored his command he forced your jaw open and held your tongue down with two fingers. He spat in your mouth and closed it, watching you closely. "Swallow." You did as he said this time, gagging at the spit that went down your throat combined with all the crying.
"Do you want my seed?" He bit his bottom lip, he obviously knew the answer to that, but he wanted to hear you.
"Ivar, no!" You screamed, and he pulled your head back. You hiccuped, shaking your head 'no'. He grabbed your hair and asked again, his hips rutting into you desperately.
"I don't care." He mumbled and thrust particularly hard inside you, sending jolts of pain and pleasure all over your body. Your own orgasm silently overtook you no matter how hard you tried to deny it, the feeling of your clit brushing against the fur and his warm seed filling you up send you over the edge.
He moved off of you and laid on his back next to you, confused by your reaction. He had passed countless warriors raping women, and every single one screamed and cried, and hit them, but you were quiet. He sighed and brushed your hair out of your face, meeting your tear stained face and puffy eyes.
You sniffled, shaking harder than before as you buried your face in his hand and leaned against the light touch. His breath hitched in his throat at the gesture. You didn't even seem to recognise that he was the one that hurt you. You just moved into him, desperately trying to hide in his embrace in an attempt to feel safe.
And against his better judgement, once more, he let you do whatever you want. Affection was something only his mother had ever showed him, and she wasn't the type to show it throught physical touch. He needed the soft touches, even though they felt foreign, the way his body tingled under your touch was more than enjoyable.
Strange how after he did something like this to you, he felt the need to protect you and take care of you. His guilt was nearly eating him alive while he watched you, passed out in his arms. How did the marriage he only agreed to out of spite and to end some rumors turn out like this?

All is fair in love and war. But Ivar doesn’t feel that way as he lies disabled in what feels like purgatory. The last memory he has that isn’t grainy, is approaching a target; the bloodshed, and flashes of light from insurgent’s IEDs comes next. Lying helpless on the ground while he watches his men around him—what pieces of them are left—while he waits. And with waiting, his mind turns in on itself, aching, begging any God to listen to him to just make him move. To just make him walk. But no one answers.
He only thinks it should have been him, in that sand. Pieces of him. Memories of him. He was the one who shouldn’t have come home.
Now he lives with the fact that he did.

A little (fast-written and not thoroughly proofread) something for the Summer Solstice Event hosted by @vikingsevents. I combined day 4 (Sweet, Salty, Metallic) and day 5 (Moan, Whimper, Scream) and created a Vampire AU (doesn't every writer need one at some point xd and JRMs role as Dracula gave me the perfect pic). I'm a little late, but I'm here :) Pairing: Heahmund & Ivar Words: ~4000 [AO3] Warnings: Mention of Blood (what a surprise), M/M Blowjob, Mild Smut
If his heart would still be beating in his chest, he was sure it would have stopped the moment he finally put his lips on the soft pillows he had painfully longed for weeks. Or rather, for centuries. It felt like a gentle death, and in a way, he actually died the second their lips touched, uniting in a kiss.
In an instant, he felt as if he had been reborn. His old self ceased to exist. The suffering self, driven by pain. All the pain of the past centuries, all the suffering that had accumulated during that time, slipped away from him, peeled off like a skin that no longer belonged to him, making way for the hope of a future in which love and passion would once again become his driving forces.
Caught in the maelstrom of his sensations, he gave himself completely to the feeling that the lips, which at first only hesitantly pressed against his, triggered in him. He would have loved to take possession of them directly, to feast on them like a wild animal that had had to wait too long for new prey.  He was hungry, wanted more, but he held back. He mustered all his willpower to do so. Even though it was difficult for him, he instinctively knew that he had to give his counterpart the time to slowly get used to the feeling he was most likely experiencing. It was probably unfamiliar to him and overwhelming at the same time. Not the kiss alone, but the wave of emotions it unleashed. He was sure that he wasn't the only one feeling this way, but that the boy in front of him was also stirred up inside. He felt the uncertainty and probably also the disbelief about what was happening in his tentative approaches, heard it in his fastened heartbeat and shaky breaths.
Sweet - was the prevailing thought that burst upon him, unannounced like a storm on the high seas, as soon as their lips parted a crack, clearing the way into a world full of new sensations. He felt as if there was a slight hint of caramel, or perhaps honey, on these soft pillows, which further enraptured him. He wanted to devour every last trace of this delicious taste, chased after it like an addict after his favorite drug.
A smile formed on his lips, and had he not disturbed the kiss with it, he would have shaken his head in disbelief at his own surprise at the beguiling taste. Of course, his sweet prince still tasted like the sweetest temptation he had ever tasted. He hadn't gotten that nickname for nothing. Back then, a very long time ago.
He caught himself thinking that he could do without blood for the rest of his life if only he could sip on those very lips every waking minute. They were the elixir he needed more to live, the loss of which had made him an empty shell.
A stupid thought, perhaps, but he was far from being wise. Not when he was close to the one person he love the most and which he had believed he had lost forever.
The fact that he was here, unarmed, and without even having thoroughly checked his surroundings beforehand, was already proof enough that he might not be in his right mind.
The boy, who so willingly allowed himself to fall into his arms, was Ivar - the youngest scion of the Lothbrok family, whose roots as famous hunters went back a long way. Hunters who had tried for several generations to banish him and his kind from this earth, yet they had never been successful. At least in his case. Many of his kind had fallen victim to them, which had only magnified his anger and hatred toward those people, and perhaps it was now up to him to fall into the easiest of all traps that would cost him his survival.
He was walking on dangerous ground, but this kiss alone was already worth the risk. With not a fiber of his being could he imagine that the Lothbroks knew what old soul was slumbering in this boy when not even Ivar himself seemed to comprehend why he too was drawn to him as well. Ivar could have killed him already. He had several opportunities to do so, since he was too careless when near him, but Ivar hadn't done it, instead, the boy surrendered to the kiss as well, letting himself be guided by something hidden deep inside him.
Gently he let the tip of his tongue trace this sweetness and silently begged for further entry into this paradise-like cave.
He had fought many battles in his life already, had brought down many enemies who were begging for their lives on the brink of death. During those times, he also faced many weapons that were specially created to cause him pain and the most suffering before his ending. But never before had he felt anything like fear or a sense of weakness. Never had he felt defeated or unable to fight against something life-threatening.
However, the soft moan that escaped Ivar's lips when he opened his mouth a little wider, which led him to take possession of it immediately, made him feel a sense of weakness for the first time. He felt weak to the bone, on the verge of crying because he couldn’t believe his luck.
Ivar could stab him right in his cold heart, he wouldn't mind right now, but apparently, his luck hadn't run out yet. No wooden peg dug deep into his chest, but a shy tongue invaded him now, began to circle his, and nestled against it. Another moan sounded. This time from his mouth, and he could feel how it was working its magic on Ivar as well. He could hear his heartbeat increasing, could feel the tremors dancing across his skin.
His sweet prince pressed himself closer against him, wrapping his arms around his waist. Seeking hold, he was more than willing to give it to him.
Of the many battles he had already fought, none was as difficult as this one he was now fighting with himself internally.
Triggered by the sweetness that had overpoweringly anchored itself in his senses, he was overcome by the urge to want to possess Ivar, with every last molecule that made up his existence. He wanted to have him all for himself in fear of losing him again.
It was easy to say that continuing life without him would be unthinkable for him. Exaggerated poetics for most, but he knew that these were not just empty words. He had already had to live through it, knew how bleak his existence had been for the last centuries.
He had already lost him once. About 300 years before. Hunters had ripped him away from him in a brutal way. They had used Ivar as bait to lure him out of hiding, driven by the painful screams of his beloved. Pain caused by consecrated silver arrows that had been drilled into his legs in various places.
At that time, he had not been able to free him and thus had not been able to save him. In the end, he had only been able to watch in horror from a distance as they had beheaded his most loved one. Thus destroying a love that had lasted over 200 years. His existence thereafter was marked by hatred. His drive was revenge against all those who had been involved in this cruel event. Including their descendants. No one should be allowed to walk the earth who carried the blood of those people who had taken the dearest from him.
The dark time seemed to be over now. Although darkness was still his accomplice, needed for protection, it no longer ate through his insides.
Ivar was back. Even if so far only as a shell, he was sure that also his consciousness, his soul would soon push back to the surface. He was as sure of this as he had been at their first brief eye contact that this young man was his Ivar.
- His eyes, those azure depths, had been the first thing that had given him away. Back then, a few weeks ago, when they had run into each other in the twilight. A brief crossing of their eyes had been enough and he had lost himself in those familiar eyes. Had lost all sense of time, overwhelmed by all the memories that had burst upon him at that moment. They both had stopped for a moment as if they had been forced to stand still by some supernatural force and just looked at each other in silence.
That brief moment had been enough to trigger a realization in him, and when his senses had returned and with them, Ivar's heartbeat had reached him, he had been absolutely certain. Many people were nothing special. They were lost in the steady rhythm of the faceless mass, but there was something special about his sweet prince. A striking unevenness that sounded to his ears like the most beautiful classical song, whose tonal perfection no one had yet put on paper. He would recognize his heartbeat among millions and millions, had never heard a comparable one since he was robbed of his beloved.
Only briefly had he been able to catch a glimpse of Ivar's legs, trapped in metal braces, before the young man had awakened from his stupor and continued on his way, turning around again a short time later and eyeing him once more with interest.
The sight of the maltreated legs had triggered sheer rage in him and only with difficulty had he been able to suppress the scream that had been brewing inside him. Just like the memories that rose along with it, at the same time. -
Flatly, he pressed his tongue against the warm skin on Ivar's neck, licking over it with relish. The throbbing of his heartbeat made itself felt as a gentle vibration on his tongue. He heard the rush of blood flowing through the human shell and the thought of wanting to taste it overwhelmed him. Greed took over. When already on the outside such a foretaste of the sweetest nectar was waiting for him, how delicious would Ivar's blood be then?
His grip around Ivar's waist tightened, his nails deformed into claws almost leaving small holes in the fabric. His sharp teeth grew, scratched over the sensitive skin while he alternated between licking it and covering it with kisses. He was seconds away from plunging his teeth into the thick vein, ready to satisfy his curiosity and hunger, but the tip of a sharp object pressing into his side, right below his rotten heart, made him pause.
Carefully, he licked over the tempting spot once more before lifting his head and looking Ivar in the eye.
Already as he moved away, the pressure at his side also eased, even though the sharp end still lingered menacingly close to his body. Nevertheless, he was not afraid. He could read in Ivar's eyes that he had no intention of driving the peg deeper. It was merely a warning. The marking of a border that should not be crossed.
Devoutly, as if it weren't only Ivar's legs that seemed fragile, he enclosed his face with both hands and examined it for a moment, putting all the love he had for him into his gaze.
"I promise that I won't harm you. More than that, I promise that no one will ever hurt you again. No one will ever lay a hand on you again and cause you pain. From now on, I will protect you. No matter what it costs."
He saw Ivar frown as he let the words sink in. They didn't seem to make any sense to him. How could they, if he didn't remember?
"I don't need protection. I can stand up for myself."
The same pride as before gleamed in Ivar's eyes. The same confidence that almost bordered on arrogance, which had fascinated him even way back then. He smiled at him and nodded in understanding.
"I know. And yet I will protect you. I am your loyal servant and anyone who harms even a hair on your head will die. Like all the others before. That is my promise to you." He kept his voice soft, almost a whisper, even when no one was around to overhear.
"No one has ever hurt me."
"Your legs tell a different story."
He watched Ivar as he looked down at himself for a moment as if he had to see once again what had been done to him. Something so terrible that even centuries later it was still manifest in his body.
"I was born this way. It's nobody's fault, it's just the genes." Ivar sounded puzzled. Partly unsure maybe if this was actually the reason.
He stroked over the soft skin on Ivar's cheek, felt the first stronger hairs forming on his jawline under his fingertips. He left it at that. It was obvious that Ivar didn't remember the details and that he was struggling with himself inside. He could see it in his inquiring gaze, could almost hear the questions that Ivar was surely asking himself inwardly, undecided about what he was actually doing here. But his interest seemed to be stronger, his desire for closeness far from satisfied.
By initiating the following kiss, Ivar also made a statement that he was not here to talk. While he had been shy and cautious before, he now took what he thirsted for more confidently. Willingly, he opened his mouth, welcoming the foreign tongue into his realm.
He could feel the warmth of Ivar's breath mingling with his own cold one, creating an electrifying current that surged through their bodies. The touch of his lips was soft, yet firm, their movements synchronized in a passionate dance. Their tongues and lips met with a hunger that bordered on desperation. Breathy moans and sighs that echoed in the air were like a symphony, created by their desire and need, a testimony to the intensity of their connection.
Once again the heartbeat of his once-lost love accelerated, his skin became warmer, exuding a pleasant fragrance that crept into his nose, taking hold of his whole being. Everything around him was once again forgotten, declared unimportant.  His world was Ivar and Ivar alone and he took this place as self-confident as ever.
His hands roamed over Ivar's back, possessively, yet tenderly tracing patterns along his spine, further igniting the fire that burned within them. Ivar's fingers clawed into his hair, pulling him closer, deepening their kiss even more. They only separated to get rid of each other's shirts. In a hurry, they tore them off their bodies and threw them carelessly on the floor, where also the wooden peg had found its resting place in the meantime.
The air crackled around them and fire blazed in their eyes as they looked at each other breathlessly for a moment. Their bodies yearned for more, their hands could not leave each other, slid exploratively over naked skin. Once again their lips found each other, sealing their testament of passion anew.
He started to open Ivar's pants, slid his hands in the sides, wandered to his butt, and dug his fingers into the plump cheeks, kneading them while he pressed Ivar closer, letting their hips gyrate against each other. Another moan was breathed into his mouth, unleashing another storm of desire to unfold. Without effort, he lifted Ivar up and helped him wrap his legs around his waist before walking to the bed on the other side of the room, continuing to kiss as if Ivar didn't need oxygen either.
When he reached the bed, he bent down and let Ivar slide gently onto the mattress. He propped himself up with his hands, and bedded himself on top of him, gyrating his hips again. Their moans mingled and Ivar leaned his head back to catch his breath, thus invitingly presenting his seductive neck to him. Without hesitation, he let his lips slide back there, kissing his way over the throbbing vein. He didn't linger there long, feeling how Ivar was tensing up again. Purposefully, he slid to his collarbone, licking his way down to one erect bud, nibbling on it, causing Ivar to voice his delight.
The scent that emanated from Ivar wrapped him in an invisible cloak.  It had changed in the last few minutes, had intensified, and he felt like he was lying on the softest pillows, carried by the warmth that poured out of him.
The hands that ran through his hair, clawing almost painfully tightly into it, unmistakably pushed him deeper. He let Ivar guide him, but still took the time to explore his upper body first with tongue and lips,  spoiling kisses here and there.
A tremor ran through Ivar's body and a sound of relief escaped his mouth as he opened his pants further and hastily pulled them down to his knees along with his underwear, freeing that part of his body that craved attention the most.
Desirously he looked at the wet shimmering tip, which stretched towards him. The witness of Ivar's lust was emblazoned on it, arousing in him the need to taste it. Turning his head sideways, he licked the hot flesh with the flat of his tongue, saving the best for last, when he finally absorbed the drop with the tip of his tongue, letting the salty taste melt on his tongue.
Ivar whimpered as his lips closed around the tip, begging for more with the next gasping exhale. He was only too happy to comply with this request, given that his own hunger for more was far from being satisfied.  Nibbling, he let his lips glide over the head, savoring each new drop of pleasure as it rose to the surface. He relished the deep sighs that were coming from Ivar's mouth, bathed in the knowledge that it was he who was giving him this pleasure, these moments of absolute bliss.
Once again he licked over the entire length, noticing the trembling that flowed through Ivar's fragile legs, before he opened his mouth and placed it around the tip, this time taking it deep inside him. Immediately the grip on his hair tightened, urging his head deeper.
Sucking blood was a necessity for him to stay alive.
Sucking Ivar's cock was like a revelation that made him feel alive again.
The pulsing that spread through his mouth made him feel like he had a heartbeat of his own. He took Ivar deeper inside him, letting the sensation penetrate further down his throat. The sounds emanating from Ivar became more and more indignant, his hips reared up, his movements became desperate. He tried to follow the rhythm, willingly letting himself be used for Ivar's own pleasure, not letting the roughness deter him. He let it happen, enjoying the satisfaction he could give Ivar with a little sucking and bobbing his head up and down. He hadn't felt this fulfilled in a long time.
And something else distracted him, making his thoughts wander off.
The buzz of Ivar's blood sounded loudly in his ears. Two thick veins on his lower abdomen sought his attention. They stood out clearly. He saw them pulsing, and he could almost see through the skin how the surely delicious blood was pumped into Ivar's lower body at a hurried pace. His hunger for it grew with every second. A growl came deep from his throat as the urge finally overcame him, bouncing as a vibration against Ivar's cock, eliciting an equally guttural moan from his sweet prince.
He freed himself from Ivar's hard grip, sucked the tip of the shaft again intensely, and then let the cock slide out of his mouth completely. His tongue slid one last time over the length, made its way to the thigh on which he breathed fleeting kisses. Kissing and licking, he approached the lower belly, took Ivar's cock in his hand in the meantime, and continued pumping it in the same rhythm as he had previously spoiled it with his mouth. He increased the pressure around the head, sliding his thumb over the wet tip, rubbing the juice of their lust into both their skins.
Licking his lips, he came closer to one of the pulsating veins, firstly, just pressing his tongue against its pulse, letting it pass over him. He felt how the greed turned his features animalistic and how his teeth extended. It took all his strength, but he raised his head briefly to take a look at Ivar. A smile flitted across his features as he once more realized how gorgeous he was. His beloved had his eyes closed, his features tense with pleasure, his lips slightly open, breathing heavily. His fingers clutched at the sheet to his left and right, and his hips continued to thrust toward his hand, demanding.
He is mine was the prevailing thought as he lowered his head again. Forgotten was the previously made promise.
A scream fought its way through Ivar's lips, triggered by the shock when he couldn't hold on any longer, sinking his teeth into the soft skin of Ivar's lower abdomen. The metallic taste of his blood immediately filled his mouth, increasingly befogging his senses. Greedily he sucked the juice of life into himself, was overwhelmed by its delicious taste which he now well remembered.
Ivar reared up briefly, trying to push him away, but his resistance was only half-hearted, disarmed by his hand still pumping Ivar's arousal in a steady rhythm. He continued to drink, feeling the twitching in his hand grow stronger until he heard Ivar moan loudly. The feeling of warm drops landing on his cheek caught his attention and out of the corner of his eye he saw how Ivar slumped limply back onto the mattress, trying to catch his breath.
Weak hands tried to push him away once again, but he hadn't had enough, kept sucking the delicious blood into his mouth, intoxicated.
"Heahmund, please don't."
The soft, almost brittle voice of Ivar reached his ears and with a jolt he came to, jerked his head up and pressed his palm on the small wounds to stop the bleeding, but also to avoid being overrun by lust and hunger again.
He hadn't heard that name for a long time, had never used it again after his biggest defeat so far. The memory that came with it was too painful.
They looked at each other. Silently, yet he read so much in Ivar's eyes. Realization shimmered in them, accompanied by tears that tried to flood out. With the back of his hand, he first wiped his mouth, removing the bloody residue from his lips, before leaning down to Ivar, stopping just before his lips. With his thumb, he collected a tear that had made its way out of the corner of Ivar's eye as a glittering pearl.
"My sweet prince," he whispered before sealing their lips again, encouraged by the hand that had settled on his neck, pressing him closer.
The taste of his own blood didn't seem to deter Ivar. Much more it spurred him on, made him become more impetuous again. It was going to be a long night. Of that he was sure. A night in which he would hear his old name even more often, breathed and moaned and accompanied by sweet sounds.
It was time for a new identity anyway and Heahmund knew exactly which one he wanted to revive.

Their friend is pregnant.
↳ Pairing. Ragnar Lothbrok, Björn Ironside, Ubbe Ragnarsson.
↳ Summary. How would they react to their dear friend being pregnant.
↳ Warnings. Violence, death, abusive relationships.
↳ Note. I imagine this with them having the same kind of friendship that Ragnar had with Athelstan but with the reader. Let me know if y’all want me to make an individual part of any of these explaining further the dynamics.
Part two.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ragnar Lothbrok.
He hasn’t seen you in several months and he starts to get worried because for one, you didn’t even come to the dock to greet him after another successful raid and two, you know damn well he doesn’t like to go for so long without talking to you when he is in Kattegat. He learns too much with you.
He knocks on your door one time before letting himself in like he owns it, and that he does of course. He’s the king.
“I just want to know why you haven’t even… oh,” He looks at you with wide eyes, looking down at the small round belly that has started to become prominent.
You look at him expressionless, your eyes filling with tears, he gets to you in two big steps and pulls you into his arms, one hand on the back of your neck and the other grabbing your arm so you can put it around his waist.
“My sweet dear friend, what’s the matter?” He murmurs and you sob.
“I missed you so much, o-oh for the love of Odin, my friend is here.” You cry on his chest.
“Of course I am, I’ll always come back to you,” He assures you.
You look up to him.
“I am with child,” You say and he snorts.
“I can very much see that,” He jokes but his smile vanishes when he sees the pain in your face.
“And he hates it, he hates it so much Ragnar,” You sob. “He said it’s not his child, he swears it’s yours.”
He laughs and walks with you under his arm to your bed, softly falling down and letting you get comfortable on his chest.
“I have to say, it does sounds appealing to bear a child with you,” You snort and sob softly. “But we have never had sex, for you rejected me when I asked you.”
“You wanted me to lay with you when we were camping and getting ready for a war back in the day, it wasn’t the time,” You roll your eyes. “He says my plan all along was to seduce you to become queen of—,”
“Does he even know that you’re the uncrowned queen of Kattegat?” He laughs. “It doesn’t matter, I’ll be the child’s father.”
“Why did I have the suspicion that you would say that when the time of me carrying a child come?” You ask with a small smile and he kisses your head.
“He can’t come near you anymore, he lost his chance.” He explains.
You close your eyes, forgetting everything that made you cry and remembering that Ragnar will always be there for you.
Tumblr media
Björn Ironside.
He frowns when you rush into his tent in what seems desperation, he grabs your shoulders to stop you.
“Wow, wow, wow, stop right there,” He says, and when you look at him his whole face changes. “Who did this to you?”
You have a cut on your lip and your cheek is starting to get swollen from a hard slap.
“Björn—,”
“I am not going to ask a third time, Y/N, who did this to you?” He grunts.
“Knud,” You whisper and you step in front of him when he is about to start walking, looking him right in the eye. “Björn.”
“I am going to break his arms, move.” He grunts.
“Björn, I am with child.” You snap, smacking his chest softly so he can pay attention to you.
He looks at you surprised, blinking a few times before slowly sliding his hands all over your belly.
“That’s wonderful, little one.” He whispers and your bottom lip trembles. His face suddenly turns cold. “Which means it’s going to be worse for him.”
He walks around you and out of the tent in the blink of an eye, you sigh and sit down for a few seconds on his bed, your state making things such as standing very tiresome.
After some minutes you stand up and go out looking for your friend, finding him close to the woods with a crowd around him. When you get close you realize that the father of your child is tied up to a tree while Björn is shooting arrows at him, missing on purpose to get him more scared. The whispers of the others are what makes Björn look behind his back, he smiles at you.
“Come here, my sweet one.” He says with feigned happiness, you stand on his side, ignoring the man on the tree on purpose.
“Yes?”
“What do you want from him? His leg? An arm?” He asks you entertained.
“I—,”
“Y-Y/N, p-please! Forgive me! I-I didn’t mean t-to, it was the ale!” The man cries.
“You hurt her while she’s with child and you think ale is the perfect excuse to give me? me?” Björn asks with humor, raising his arms and shooting an arrow right on top of the man's knees, smiling when he screams in pain. “Try again.”
“F-Forgive me for saying that it is not my child, I-I know you haven’t laid with n-no one else, I misunderstood your relationship with lord Björn,” The man cries in pain, sobbing like a child, he looks at you with pleading eyes. “Y/N p-please.”
You look at Björn and give him an enigmatic smile that he understands all too well.
“My friend, I could use a liver, maybe a heart,” You tell him and he hums.
“All you have to do is ask,” He says, shooting right into the man’s heart, watching the life leave his body. “Like that?”
“Like that.” You snort.

Ubbe Ragnarsson.
He’s sure the gods put you in his life with a purpose, because the amount of love and happiness he feels when he’s around you cannot be normal.
He was walking around Kattegat with a smile, watching his people do their own thing and being proud of the stability that they have now thanks to a lot of his, his father and his brothers' sacrifices. He sees you and frowns when he takes in your expression, walking a little faster to get to you.
“That fucking child is not mine!” The man, whom he knows you tend to lay with from time to time, was shouting in your face. “Find the father of that child because it is not mine.”
“Well, last time I checked I am not the Christian Holy Mary to have a child from a god,” You snap at him. “Who else’s child would—?”
“Oh, I don’t know, maybe the prince,” The man accuses you and you gasp, he starts to point his finger at you, every time touching your shoulder in an accusatory manner. “Why don’t you go and tell him that you’re with child, uhm? Since you’re so proud of being his main whore—,”
The man can’t continue his speech because he is interrupted by Ubbe yanking him from the back. Ubbe walks to him slowly, sighing to control his dark thoughts and straddling the man. He starts to calmy destroy the man’s face, smacking him with his open hand, punching him with his fist, with his own head. You crouch down beside him at a considerable space in order to not get punched by accident, with your hand under your chin, watching your prince make a mess out of the poor man that thought he could disrespect you and continue on his day like nothing happened.
“You think you’re too good to put a child on her? Don’t be stupid, you should be grateful that you even had the opportunity to be inside of her,” Ubbe grunts, watching the man’s face unrecognizable now.
He cleans his hands on the man’s shirt and stands up, walking to you and bending his knees a little to take you in his arms. You hum and slide your hands around his neck.
“I would’ve expected Ivar to lose control like that, even Hvitserk, but you?” You murmur into his ear and he chuckles.
“I’m Viking, love,” He says as if that explains the little number he just pulled.
When he enters the Great Hall he walks directly to a chair and sits with you sitting sideways on top of him, he caresses your back distractedly while playing with your hand with his other hand.
“I’m a little scared,” You confess and he looks at you. “It’s my first child, I’m not even married and he already made sure to let me know that he will not be—,”
“You don’t need nobody but me,” He says firmly, confidence emanating from his body. “And I’m not going anywhere.”
“Ubbe, you have your own obligations with Kattegat,” You try to reason with him.
“And still, I’ll be here for you,” He whispers, pulling you to his chest and slowly sliding his hand onto your belly, you put your own on top of his. “Every step you take, I’m taking it with you, my dear friend.”
“I know you will,” You whisper and kiss the side of his head.

It Is You (Ivar The Boneless)
Ivar the Boneless drabble
Imagine you are the one that catches Ivar's eyes, not Freydis.
Tumblr media
The crowd is overly excited by the army’s return to Kattegat, they had finally avenged the death of Ragnar Lothbrok. I had not taken long to recruit the great heathen army, and less to decimate the Saxons. Most of the hassle had been travel discrepancies and what to do after. Now with all that finally over, Vikings have a chance to celebrate victory. It is no surprise, then, when the great hall is completely packed with drunk people in the late hours of the night. The celebration of the great heathen army’s conquest is something to brag about, and Ivar the Boneless is doing precisely that.
You have never seen the Viking prince in person, considering that you are not a shieldmaiden, and could not go to avenge Ragnar. Also, you grew up in Ringerike, not Kattegat, thus you never encountered him during your childhood. You have heard the stories, though, not only the most recent ones about his victory against the Saxons, but also those speaking of his cruelty and quick temper. And so when you came to welcome your brother back from fighting in England, it was not in your plan to cross paths with Ivar the Boneless. However, once you entered the great hall, your destiny was entangled with his.
He is not the only man that stares at you more than he should, but his gaze is so intense that you can not shake it off. It burns through your skin like fire, stealing all of your attention from your brother’s words. When you look up, Ivar is already glancing your way. He does not smile or try to approach you like the rest of the men, he just stares.  His look is heated but not loaded with anger, it is something else. No one has ever gazed at you like that, it has such desire and amazement. It makes you feel like a goddess. So, while your brother is still talking, you leave his side to introduce yourself to the cruel prince. That is the first step that changes your life.

This wasn't supposed to happen. None of this was. He wasn't supposed to happen. The gods were playing tricks on her, this couldn't be real. She wanted to hate him, hate how he despised her sister. He was a smartass, an arrogant little boy with anger issues if something didn't go his way.
One son of Ragnar was her greatest fear for her younger sister. Ivar. He was unpredictable and even though the girl was taught how to fight, Lagertha knew that she would not be good enough to protect herself from him. That was the main reason why Lagrtha forbid her sister to leave her side. Lagertha was always very protective of her, even more when the sons of Aslaug and Ragnar started planning to kill her or hurt her the same way she hurt them by killing their mother.
So one night when the girl was upset and searched for a place to hide away, she walked into the woods. Flokis and Helgas place always brought her the most comfort when her and Lagertha fought, those were the times she thought the girl was quietly in her chamber. Sitting down in a small meadow, she leaned back, watching the stars, inhaling the fresh air.
Rustling behind her made her hand quickly shoot to the dagger she kept on her thigh. "Well don't you look cozy." The cold voice of the prince made her flinch as she sat up completely, her body being on alert if he tried anything. "What do you want, Ivar?" The exhaustion from was as clear in her voice and how she said his name as it was on her face. She didn't want to live like this. To live a life that held nothing for her, since she wasn't allowed to do much. Even her nephew Björn was always watching over her when he was here.
Tilting his head Ivar studied her face for a second before crawling over to her and settling down besides her. "I decided I won't kill you." He pursed his lips looking over at her a playful glint in his eyes. "Not yet at least." A small smile pulled at her lips as she averted her face. "Ubbe told us about how Lagertha screamed at you. She was always quiet..." A stern glare from the girl made the boy hold his hands up in defense, a small smirk on his face as he saw her hand moving away from the dagger, finally starting to relax.
Ivar was a simple man, his plan to kill Lagertha was only left uncompleted due to his attraction to her little sister and now having her here in front of him was something he didn't know he longed for. Looking back up at the sky she sighed in frustration. "How is the world out there? You traveled didn't you?" Sitting up straight she turned to him.
The young princes eyebrows raised in surprise as he smiled slightly. "The world is huge, it has so much to see." pouting slightly the girl cursed her sister as she listened to Ivars stories. He told her all about Wessex and the people there, how different their belief are from theirs, which she as well found hilarious. As the night turned colder they took the path back to their home. Not once did they stop talking about what he saw out there and what she would want to see once she'll get out there.
"Gods, I want to see the world, Ivar." Smiling softly she twirled and inhaled the fresh air. Watching her Ivar felt his heart swell at the sight of her carefreeness. "I want to show it to you." His tone was serious and when she looked at him she saw the sincerity in his eyes. "Ivar..." Her voice was a mere whisper, shaking her head she sat down in the dirt near a haystack.
"We can't. Lagertha would never allow this. She wouldn't allow us, Ivar..." She was desperate for him to understand that this would never happen, but he was not having any of it. He would take what he want and if he wanted to have her, then he was going to have her. "Your sister does not control you, nor does anyone else. You should be able to live your life how you want it to be, the gods forbid that you won't live it to the fullest."
Looking around she kissed his cheek quickly. "I'll meet with you in the meadow tomorrow night, don't be late!" She turned around as she quickly ran to her chambers, smiling brightly at him before entering. The young prince couldn't help but grin at her actions, feeling a little giddy himself.
After that night they started sneaking around at night, only sharing small meaningful glances at each other when they passed one another or during a feast. Soon Lagertha grew suspicious, but not because she noticed any of the glances, no, it was because suddenly her sister started training more, stopped questioning her about being able to travel. It was as if she suddenly stopped caring about all that.
Ubbe offered to train with her, Lagertha trusted him so she allowed him to take her sister to the woods during the day as well. Ivar told his brothers about her and how he wanted to see her at any costs as much as he could. In the woods the four of them would train, Ivar didn't trust Sigurd close to her, due to disgusting glances he threw her way when she was merely visiting them over the past years.
She soon found herself growing closer to the brothers and feeling accepted by them. Freedom, was so close she could almost taste it. Walking with Ivar at night was her newly found escape, after he got his greave done for his legs and fixed up his crutches they could even hold hands while walking. Him rubbing her hand soothingly with his thumb, placing ocationally kisses onto her palm , whenever she talked about something that upset her. He enjoyed listening to her almost as much as her gentle kisses he would get to feel whenever his pain was unbearable.
They balanced each other nicely and after a few months the word marriage appeared more and more in their talks about their future. The girl was scared of how her sister would react to her and the youngest Ragnarsson being inseparable and spent every minute they could together.
But she didn't need to tell her, because one day during her and Ubbes training lessons, while she was play fighting with Ivar . Lagertha walked up the path, none of them noticed her sharp eyes watching. Ivar had her pinned down, laughing while she tried to push him of before rolling over and sitting on his stomach, having the prince at her mercy making her grin down at him.
Ubbe and Hvitserk were watching them, drinking ale and laughing at what the other said. Lagertha was disappointed in her, why didn’t she tell her that they were lovers? She continues watching them and filled an old familiar pain in her heart. Ivar was holding her sister now, not strong enough to hurt but strong enough to let her know he had control over the situation but her sister seemed completely fine with it as she leaned into his chest looking up at him with gentle eyes and a loving smile.
Ivars smile matched hers and in this exact moment Lagertha realized that she kept her sister protected from the most beautiful thing out there, a thing she herself shared with Ragnar even after his death. Love. Ivar was similar to Ragnar in many ways, but with her in his arms he resembled his father more than anyone would guess. Of course, she didn’t want her sister to be with someone like Ivar, he was dangerous, but if it is him that makes her as happy as she is right now, then that is all she would ask for.
Returning to her throne back in the great hall Lagertha couldn’t stop thinking about how she should’ve noticed the signs. Ivar was more around than he used to be, it wasn’t his normal behavior. Besides he was being a lot kinder than usual. As Torvi entered the great hall she noticed how lost in thoughts the queen was. „What is the matter?“ She said as she walked next to to sit down by her side. „Did you know about Ivar and my sister?“ Lagertha turned to Torvi catching the younger woman smile apologetic. „Ubbe said I wasn’t supposed to tell you, I apologize.“
As she heard giggles and laughter she could tell the four of them were coming closer, she prepared herself to confront her sister about this. But how was she supposed to? She was spying on her when she found out, not having had one good reason to walk out there in the woods except to check up on her actually being there. Ubbe was the first one to walk into the great hall, he noticed something was up when Torvi didn’t greet him right away. The girl was still outside giggling and whispering. Her whispers could be heard in the whole hall. Quietness settled in as the last three of them walked in, the girl walking a little behind but smiling brightly whenever Ivar would turn around to see if she was still there with him.
„Hello sister!“ The girl greeted and smiles brightly at Lagertha. The queen did not respond, making her feel uneasy as she glanced toward Ubbe, who sighed quietly looking down. Instantly the girl knew what was going on. Panicking she walked closer to her, a nervous laugh escaping her as she looked back to Ivar in reassurance. „It isn’t like you think…“ Lagerthas raised an eyebrow making the girl feel even more uneasy. „Well then how is it? Because it looks like my sister is keeping secrets from me. Keeping secrets because she thinks I don’t want to see her happy or loved.“
The girl gasped softly wondering just how much her sister had seen. „Lagertha, I promise you I do not have any intentions behind my bond with your sister. It’s about her not about you or how you killed my mother.“ Ivar broke the silence looking at Lagertha with pure hatred but his eyes seemed to soften when he looked over at the girl standing close to her. The girl flinched at Ivars harsh words. The woman on the throne couldn’t stop herself from laughing. „I did not even think about that for a second Ivar, because you wouldn’t even be able to.“
„Sister, Ivar would be capable of ruling over Kattegat just as well as you are. His ideas for this village are incredible. If you would just listen to them you’d see how capable he would be to do everything he wanted to.“ With wide eyes the girl just realized what she said, covering her mouth she looked down. „I’m sorry I spoke out of tune.“ Lagertha studied her and saw a lot of how she acted because of Ragnar in her sister, smiling slightly. As her eyes wandered to Ivar, she caught him smirking, his eyes glistening with pride and love as his eyes wandered over her figure.
Getting of her throne Lagertha stopped only in front of her. Her hand went up to cup her cheek, making the girl flinch. The boy tried to crawl over to them making sure the girl stayed unharmed, but Ubbe held him back making the young boy fight against his hold. „He makes you happy, doesn’t he?“ Lagerthas voice was quiet as she smiled down at her sister softly. Nodding her head the girl looked back up at her. „More than anything.“ Her eyes held a sincerity that the woman saw rarely. She was a bit taken aback by her truthfulness. Of course, she was upset about it having to be Ivar. Hvitserk would’ve been easier to accept but sadly that’s not what happened. „How could it be him, he is cruel and no good for you, my sweet sister…“ She could see Ivar lowering his head, knowing that Lagertha was right about him being cruel, not being good enough for the girl.
„He wants to show me the world. He isn’t cruel, he is just easy to upset and in pain, Lagertha…“ Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought about how bad Ivars legs had been these past weeks. „The gods are cruel to him sometimes, so I pray. I pray to them to stop it and he starts to feel better. He is not a cruel man, Lagertha. He just isn’t!“ Her hands were trembling as she clenched them into fists. Lagertha could only stare at her in shock. For how long was their relationship kept a secret from her? „How long did you feel like this about him?“ She grew angry for being held in the dark that long. „All of this started a little over six months ago…“ The girls head hung low as she fidgeted with her fingers.
Looking at her hand she noticed a little mark on her ring finger looking over at Ivar she saw the same small mark on the same finger. „You’re thinking about marriage…“ She gasped quietly taking a step back from her sister. „I accept your decision, but I do not support it. Though I will give you my blessing only because I haven’t seen you happy like this in ages. You are my little sister and I love you and I want you to be loved. As much as I don’t like Ivar, I have to say that he truly seems to love you and care for you.“ Smiling widely the girl hugged her sister tightly, throwing her arms around her. „Thank you!“ She repeated those words until she turned to Ivar grinning at him shyly.
Ivar walked over to her cupping her cheek before he kissed her forehead and leaned his against hers. „I told it would work out somehow, my love. May the gods forbid anything would part us until we both are on our way to dine with the gods in Valhalla.“
Lagertha couldn’t fight the smile as she watched the both of them. Even though she disliked Ivar, she was certain he would treat her right. Maybe even better than Ragnar treater her. She could tell in his smile, in his eyes, in every action towards her sister, that he adored her.
