Summary: They say the definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Or, Illya gets stuck in a very whumpy time loop.

Previous Chapter

This time, they trick their targets into believing that Napoleon is the one who is resetting the day, and they find themselves in a familiar standoff. Well, familiar to Illya, anyway, except now he’s the one holding the gun at the man in charge while Napoleon is forced to his knees. He hadn’t realized it during the previous loop, but the guards actually bring two doses of the antidote with them and pass one to the man in charge.

It explains why they didn’t just shoot Napoleon before, because clearly their adversary was suspicious enough to not trust that they had the right person until after the antidote had been administered. Once it has been, though, they’ll know they’ve been duped this loop, and there will be nothing stopping them from killing Napoleon.

The man in charge also gets handed another vial of liquid, this one an odd greenish color, with some kind of aerosolizer fitted to the end of it, like an inhaler. It must be the drug itself, the substance that somehow imparts the ability to reset the day, and Illya knows that under no circumstances can he allow it to be deployed.

The guard carrying the antidote approaches Napoleon, syringe at the ready, and the two partners share a meaningful glance. They talked through a few scenerios, but never one in which there were two antidotes in play. Illya isn’t even sure that Napoleon knows there is; after all, he’d missed that fact when he’d been the one forced to the ground.

Illya would really rather not do this day again—would really rather not have to explain this sequence of events to Napoleon again—so he has to make this count.

He waits until every eye in the room is focused on Napoleon, watching for whatever happens when the antidote is administered. Even the man in charge lets his guard down for a moment, a wide grin spreading over his face, and this is when Illya acts.

Lunging forward, he makes a grab for the drug and the antidote, both held in the man’s left hand, but unfortunately the man reacts faster than he expected, twisting away and leaving Illya holding only one of the vials. There is at least a little luck on their side, though, because when he opens his hand he sees the odd green liquid glinting there. The drug.

He doesn’t have much time to think about what to do with it. Napoleon yelps as the guard plunges the antidote syringe into his shoulder and injects, and somehow the man in charge knows immediately that they’ve been duped. He snarls, wheeling on Illya, and leaps at him in a desperate attempt to get the drug back. Two bullets to the chest somehow aren’t enough to bring him down—granted, neither of them were very accurate under the circumstances, even at close range—and he collides heavily with Illya, sending them both sprawling to the floor. The vial is clenched tightly in Illya’s fist, safe from the man’s prying fingers, but Illya loses track of the antidote until a needle jams right into his thigh.

Fire spreads rapidly through his veins and he can feel it leaving his body, knows without a doubt that if he dies this time it will be for good. The pain of it briefly overwhelms his senses, but it ebbs as rapidly as it came on and he’s left reeling and feeling oddly empty.

“Kill him! Kill him now!” the man is shouting desperately, and Illya doesn’t know if he means him, or Napoleon, or both of them.

Turns out, neither do the guards. The ones nearest to them stand there uncertainly, and it probably doesn’t help that the man is on top of Illya and thus blocking most of their shots. Illya can hear the sounds of fighting from somewhere in Napoleon’s direction, so he assumes his partner has taken advantage of the chaos to get free and turn on the guards around him, and this in turn draws the attention of the two guards nearest Illya. They raise their guns toward the other side of the room, and Illya knows he has to end this now.

Finally, he manages to wrench his gun free from where it is pinned under them, jams it against the man’s head, and fires. He pushes the limp form off of his body and scrambles off the ground, dropping both guards with the remaining bullets in his clip. There is still another, farther across the room, still focused on where Napoleon is struggling with the last two guards that had held him. Illya watches as the third guard takes aim when the fight swings around to offer a clear shot of Napoleon. There’s no way Illya will be able to take him down before he fires, and so he does the only thing he can do.

Launching himself across the remaining space, he smashes into Napoleon and the guard, sending them both sprawling to the floor, just as he hears the gun fire twice. The bullets slam into his left shoulder and chest, sending a too-familiar white hot pain lancing through his body, and it almost feels like just another loop except it’s not.

Dying has become old hat, for Illya, but living is an entirely new proposition.

He slumps toward the ground, distantly hearing the sounds of fighting and bullets firing around him again until finally those seem to fade away. The vial of the drug slips from his hand, clattering to the floor and rolling off under a table.

Pain stabs through him again as someone—Napoleon, it must be—presses on his wounds, but the world around him is rapidly fading.

“Fuck! No no no, Illya, you idiot—”

Illya has flashes of something like lucidity.

The heat of an explosion. A spike of pain as he’s lowered to the ground. Bright lights and frantic voices. A warm, solid mass pressed against his side.

He’s not sure if they’re real, dreams, or something else entirely.

He wakes, for the first time in over a month, in a different bed.

At first the world seems like it’s nothing but white light, and he thinks maybe he’s finally actually dead, but then the walls and ceiling materialize around him. The air is filled with the soft hums and steady beeps of medical equipment, and the scent of antiseptic and bleach. A hospital, he thinks distantly.

Illya tries to push himself up in the bed, but that quickly proves to be a terrible idea. He hisses as pain sears through the left side of his chest, and the abortive movement sets several of the machines to a far more rapid beeping. Hurried footsteps echo into the room, and for a few minutes he just sits there as skilled hands fuss over the IV lines and his bandages. One of the nurses must administer some morphine, because a moment later the pain begins to ebb.

When he finally opens his eyes again, there is a familiar face standing at the foot of his bed.

“You do know you’re not actually immortal, right?” Gaby scolds him, but the fond, relieved expression on her face takes all of the weight out of it.

“Was never immortal,” Illya mutters, crossing his arms in front of him defensively.

“Napoleon told me what happened, in the office. You could have died. Permanently.”

Napoleon. All at once Illya realizes that he’s not here, and why would he not be here unless—

Gaby must see his sudden distress, because she moves quickly around the bed and places a steadying hand on his arm. “He’s fine, Illya, he’s not hurt. He just stepped out to get some food. It’s been nearly impossible to get him to leave your side. The nurses want to throttle him, I think. He’s gonna be so pissed that he wasn’t here when you woke up.”

“What happened?” he manages as he takes deep, slightly painful breaths, still trying to get his panic under control.

“Well, after you tried to get yourself killed, Napoleon took out the remaining guards and carried you out of the building. I thought you were already dead when I saw you, Illya, but thank god you’re a stubborn bastard. We blew the chemical building into atoms and stole a car. I don’t know how you didn’t bleed out on the way to the hospital. The doctors said it was basically a miracle.”

Illya huffs out a humorless laugh at that, wincing again at the pain it elicits. He opens his mouth to ask how long he’s been out, but the words are cut off by the sound of someone practically sprinting down the hall. Moments later, Napoleon appears in the door, wide-eyed and disheveled. Clearly someone—almost certainly Gaby—had at some point made him go shower and change his clothes at least once because he’s not wearing his tactical gear anymore, but his clothes are still a rumpled mess. He’s also, quite obviously, deliriously happy to see Illya awake.

“Oh god, Peril, how long have you been awake?” he asks frantically as he rushes over to Illya’s side. “I’m sorry, I was here but then Gaby told me to go get something to eat even though I wasn’t hungry—”

“I just woke up, Cowboy,” Illya interrupts, uncrossing his arms so he can reach out to grab Napoleon’s hand, lacing their fingers together.

This little gesture puts a smile on Napoleon’s face that lights up the room and fills Illya’s chest with a fierce warmth. He gives a little tug of suggestion and Napoleon bends readily down to press a kiss to his lips. It’s brief, a brush of mouths that lingers just long enough to promise so much more, and Illya feels his heart ache with happiness.

Because until that moment, Illya wasn’t entirely sure how much of it had been real. Obviously the operation at the compound had happened, but he couldn’t be certain of even that morning, of holding Napoleon tight in his arms and kissing away his tears.

“It was all real,” he breathes in wonder as Napoleon sits down on the bed next to him. “You remember.”

“If you’re asking if I remember you walking into the kitchen of the safehouse the morning after we arrived and kissing me like your life depended on it, yes, I remember,” Napoleon says, a tiny smirk twisting his lips. “As for the rest, well, we pulled off an operation that never should have been possible, so…”

“We haven’t mentioned any of it in our debriefs,” Gaby tells him. “Not even Waverly knows.”

The reason why is obvious, of course. Such a claim would no doubt trigger a mandatory psych eval and some serious skepticism about Illya’s mental stability. He can’t blame them, but at the same time he knows what happened to him was real. At least, he knows now.

“Thank you,” he says quietly. “For everything.”

Gaby smiles, soft and sincere. “You need to rest,” she tells him as she bends down to kiss him gently on the forehead. “Dying that many times has to take a lot out of you.”

“That is quite an understatement,” Illya grumbles.

She squeezes his arm fondly. “I need to go tell Waverly you’re awake, but I’ll try to keep him away until tomorrow at least.”

Illya knows she’s just making up an excuse to give them some time alone, but he very much appreciates it nonetheless. When she leaves, closing the door to the room behind her, he looks up at Napoleon again, and the sheer amount of affection in his partner’s eyes is breathtaking.

“Stay with me?” he asks, squeezing Napoleon’s hand where it’s still wrapped around his.

Without a moment of hesitation, Napoleon kicks off his shoes and climbs up onto the narrow hospital bed, which is really not large enough for the two of them, but he fits his body next to Illya’s like it was made to go there. He pulls one arm up under his head and gently pushes a lock of hair off Illya’s forehead, pressing a kiss to his temple as he curls his other arm over Illya’s stomach.

“Always, Peril,” he whispers. “Always.”

You were tired of telling FRIDAY to ignore calls from Harley. But you didn’t want to completely block him in case he truly needed something.

He was your first love and you couldn’t just remove him from your life. But you needed some space. And you told him that when you answered his first call just minutes after you’d told him it was over.

You had to admit though, you were in a bit of a daze when he’d called. Still coming down from the high of Peter kissing you. Almost completely out of it when Harley called you out for breaking a promise. You’d said sorry and hung up the phone to pick up a call from Peter.

Speaking of Peter you hadn’t seen him in almost three days, some new villain had been terrorizing the city and according to him, it was “nothing he couldn’t handle” so you pulled back and let Spider-Man do his thing.

It worked out well because you were working on upgrading your suit with the help of Bruce and your dad.

While working on 87-16 you had regularly been extracting part of your powers and now that it had been almost a week since the last extraction you could feel yourself getting stronger and you hadn’t even known you were weak. So a suit upgrade was definitely necessary.

You also hadn’t seen Bucky in a few days because that same day he, Steve, and Natasha had been sent out on a mission doing classified in classified. You really wanted to talk to him though, because you know he’d be both proud and annoyed because he has been trying to convince you to stop for weeks and Peter had done it in a single conversation.

“Hey Y/N,” Bruce called from the other side of the lab, “Can you come here for a second?”

“Sure,” you told him getting up and walking to where he was standing by your suit.

When you got there you noticed he was staring intently at a tablet with your vitals on it.

“What’s up?” You asked, trying to ignore his furrowed brows.

He looked up at you, “There’s been a massive flux in your powers recently. Are you feeling alright? Have you changed something?” He asked, genuinely concerned.

From the corner of your eye you could’ve sworn you saw your father's ears perk up.

Ever since you had met the man you came to see as an uncle you couldn’t lie to him, but in this case, you’d have to adjust the truth, “I feel great, after everything that happened, I’m finally starting to feel like myself again,” you told him.

You didn’t miss the sympathetic look in his eyes and your chest got a bit tight at the thought of hiding something like this from him. But it was what was best.

“Well I’m glad,” Bruce said, a small smile beginning to grace his lips. You felt yourself smile back.

“Alright Y/N/N,” your dad called from behind you, “time to try on the new suit,” he says excitedly.

Your father hurries over to you and slip the new matching bangle-like bracelets on to your wrists, you were already in an exo-suit similar to the one your father used for his Mark L. You took a deep breath and held your bracelet up to the suit, nanobots spilled on and into the bracelets, they tightened around your wrists and became bigger, they were now about an inch and a half wide now.

You turned your wrists a couple of times to admire them becoming giddy just looking at them.

“Here goes nothing,” you said and tapped the bracelets together twice, the nanobots covered your form in red and silver armor. It was lightweight but insanely strong material. Unlike your father's suit, you had something similar to fingerless gloves that helped to enhance your powers in battle if necessary. You also didn’t usually put on your full helmet most of the time but you did have an earpiece and glasses to keep in contact with the team and FRIDAY — or even Karen if you were with Peter.

“Wow,” a voice came from somewhere near the lab entrance. All three of you turned your heads in the person’s direction and you were met with admiring eyes of Peter Parker.

“What do you think?” You asked, turning a couple of times as your eyes became shielded behind your glasses and FRIDAY booted up.

Peter moved closer to you all, “You look ... wow,” was all he could get out as he practically gawked at you. You could feel your cheeks warming at his gaze.

“It’s incredible,” Peter said, standing in front of you now. “Nanobots?” He asked, looking into your eyes.

“Yeah, and I went for the silver with the hot rod red like you suggested,” you told him, unable to contain the smile that bubbled up to the surface.

Peter’s voice lowered as he admired the suit once again, “Yeah, it's amazing.”

Peter could barely take his eyes off of you and you could barely take your eyes off of Peter. Your father broke your mutual daze with a swift clearing of his throat.

When the two of you looked to him you could see the amusement in both his and Bruce’s eyes and you supplied them both with a subtle glare.

“Ready to test it out?” Your father asks and you glanced quickly to Peter before rapidly nodding your head.

Tony tapped his chest piece twice and was quickly suited up as Iron-Man.

“Race you to the training floor,” your father said before taking off out the window that opened with his command.

“Oh, you’re on old man!” You yelled before quickly following after him.

You spent the rest of the afternoon training with your dad and whatever other Avengers happened to stop by. You had a couple of rounds with Falcon and Vision and even faced off against Spider-Man before he had to head home for an early dinner with May before his patrol.

He called you not 5 minutes after he left and you put your headphones in your ears before you answered.

“Hey, Peter, what’s up? Did you forget something?” You asked making a pitstop from the training room in the kitchen to grab some water.

“No, just got bored fast without you to talk to,” he said and you chuckled.

“Oh don’t say that or you’ll hurt Karen’s feelings,” you told him closing the refrigerator door and heading to your room.

“She can take it. I was also wondering if you were free on Friday. Ned and I are going to the movies for this Star Wars double feature. And I think MJ is coming to ‘observe nerds in their natural habitat’ or something. You in?” He asked and you hesitated.

It had been so long since you hung out with people your own age and it would be the first time since Harley. You liked Ned and MJ a lot though and hopefully, this would further keep your mind off things with Harley.

“Yeah, of course, sounds fun.” You said and Peter gave an audible sigh of relief. You continued.

“We can even have dinner at my place before we go if you guys want,” you added on, feeling spontaneous. You needed this, you needed to feel like your own age for a night.

“Really? That’d be awesome, I’ll let them know.” You could hear the smile in his voice.

“Okay, see you Friday Spidey. Be safe, and sound need you in one piece.”

He chucked, “Yes ma’am. See you Friday.”

The line went dead and you placed your phone on the counter.

After a nice hot shower and some relaxation, you decide to head into the living room on the floor all the avengers shared. The elevator ride was quick and you were greeted by one of your favorite sights when you got there.

In the middle of the huge couch was your father, head lulled back in an unconscious state with Pepper tucked into one side and Morgan tucked into the other. At the sound of the elevator opening, Morgan’s head shot around and she gave you the biggest smile you had ever seen.

“Y/N/N!!” She screamed effectively socking Tony awake and erasing all traces of Pepper’s exhaustion before hopping over the couch and racing you.

“Hi babydoll,” you said catching her easily as she jumped into your arms. “How was Nana’s house?”

“It was fun, PopPop got an alpaca named Gerald, you would like him.” She said and began to go on and on about her stay as you carried her back to the couch. You sat between your parents and held her in your lap.

After some time the rest of the avengers trickled in one-by-one and you had an impromptu movie night. Morgan picked Zootopia but fell asleep halfway through and by the time the movie was done everyone had either retreated to their rooms or caved in on one of the sofas.

You were quick to follow, but not before thinking that you finally felt like things were going to be alright.

How I feel about this character

oh my god, i LOVE her? i love her so much. literally my favorite healer. her route is literally the best.

its just like. shes SO fun. shes so weird and shes so funny and i just love love love how shes written. i love that in the beginning of her own route shes like.. literally Just a little girl. like getting worried bc she told the first lie in her life ,,, its just like shes so cute. i love her and shes soooo funny oh my god. i love love love how through her route she becomes more confident with herself and her path, it seems... just like everything is so good about her.

i love her place in the game as well... shes the youngest, definitely the one who you’d probably trust the least to do a good job, and just so ... she’s so weird! i love that she is the character who becomes the sort of meta character, where the developers Know you’ve gone thru everything twice, we’re now just going to let her know all you need. plus, i fucking LOVE her powers with the hook - thats a trope i just love so much...

i love her black and white mentality? its just so interesting... i love how the world warps in her route, where people are especially evil, or are especially good. and i love. i LOVE that she’s put with all of the humbles... like i just love everything about her SO much ...

All the people I ship romantically with this character

oh, as ive said: grace!! i find their relationship incredibly cute, especially with how clara says how much she likes her in her route... plus! weird (graveyard) girls unite :) idk, i just feel like they complement each other very well, and would understand each other very well! its very cute!

to a much lesser degree, i also find capella and clara cute, but i dont have quite as many thoughts on it.

My non-romantic OTP for this character (im just interpreting this as other relationships i find interesting)

omg, so many, um ,,,

firstly, the saburovs! i think more about katerina just because of who i am, but i love thinking of if they were like . . . an actually good family. idk, its just like if the saburovs weren’t In That Situation... maybe, just maybe they would be better? they obviously care about clara very very much, as shown in those first few days... idk, i just love the idea of good families 😔

secondly, like almost every relationship she has with the humbles, or what potential relationship she’ll have in p2 now that some of them have been reworked. i cant go through the whole list because ill be here all day, but especially rubin and her relationship; the connection she has with aspity; im interested in how the others will be reworked and how they’ll interact with clara just... ayugh i love all of the humbles so much!

thirdly, um. okay not to be a termite stan but thinking of her relationship with some of the termites is super interesting... in particular, as ive said, grace and her seem like they could very well be very good friends if not gfs, and sticky! theyre both thieves ... i feel like it can be very interesting, though i doubt they would be really close hsdjkgjk still! i just love thinking of her potential relationship with the other kids.

fourthly, also aglaya because of her connection with clara, with knowing. Everything about their world is so interesting. plus, just how aglaya treats her is so... interesting? shes just SO different in clara’s route, its so interesting...

and lastly, as i said: her relationship with block! i dont have too many thoughts, but i find his care for her very very interesting and sweet... im interested in how their relationship will be expanded upon in her route!

wait no im still adding things: her relationship with the albino! idk i just find her relationship with the creature of the steppe so sweet... its just like the bond between them its just so nice and it makes me so 💖thinking about it in her route...

My unpopular opinion about this character

clara best healer! clara’s route is the best! i hate it when people only use her for their daniil/artemiy ship shit! she doesnt give a shit about them! stop pushing her off to the side! her route is unfinished, yes, thats really only the side quests from day 8 on! the main quest is always different! just play her route! shes not just some weird person who only speaks in metaphors, shes also a little girl! i love clara very much!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

oh, hmm... her route to be finished, and actually full of details? ghdsjkgj really though, i remember people saying that they might go for a genre shift with the other two routes in p2, and i think her’s being more horror would be SO cool... i also hope that we can hug people in her route as well, oh my god. oh my god. please let me hug the saburovs.

How I feel about this character

i LOVE teru! hes absolutely, 100%, completely my favorite mp100 character. hes such a huge comfort character to me as well its just like i looveee his character. hes so SO funny and hes so dumb but also hes like SO smart and. hes SOOOO smart and i just can relate to him a lot! who am i but a constant string of “oh yeah im very smart and i can do this amazingly” and then almost immediately being followed by someone showing me up,

plus, i feel like hes just my favorite character archetype. its just like! i am such a huuugeeee fan of characters showing off and trying to act big but are hiding behind a ton of insecurities. or well, maybe not quite hiding behind them, but having a lot of them. after all i think teru truly is just Like That, though his actions in his arc were heavily motivated by these insecurities... idk i just love him so much. hes just really relatable to me in some aspects and in all others i just find so fun. hes such a great character!

All the people I ship romantically with this character

oh, mob ofc! i dont think about the ship all that much, but i think its rlly cute, and i definitely feel like teru has a lot of love in his heart for mob! its rlly nice and can be very sweet c:

My non-romantic OTP for this character (im just interpreting this as other relationships i find interesting)

mob! once again i just think their friendship is just really nice, and i love how much teru cares for mob! plus theyre so funny gdhksjjg idk theyre just a fun team!! i love them!! i dont have many other thoughts, as i feel like their relationship is explored constantly, and i dont have many new thoughts to bring to the table. i just love it when their shown in a fun light c:

also, now idk if ive ever given this vibe off but, i LOVE found families, so i looveeee love love the au where reigen and serizawa take in shou, tome, and teru! like even outside of the au, i feel like a friendship with shou would be so nice? its just like the shared familial issues 😔plus i think theyd be hilarious together. no matter what i see them as having a more brotherly relationship! i like especially thinking about them playing games together, and same with tome! which like tome, oh my god i feel like theyd be so fun together and just the thought of them as siblings sounds like it could very very easily go badly because of clashing personalities but idk... i just feel like it could also be really nice and fun :) i love thinking about the sibling relationships in mp100 so much because theyre all just so fun characters and it feels like it can always result in such a fun and not like... angsty atmosphere. like i can just see them as being actual siblings, and its nice!

also, reigen ofc! i mentioned that i like the idea of reigen taking him in, though i think reigen might not be a . . . great parental figure. but i just really like the found familyness of it... plus, okay, this is going to be obvious since im such a teru stan, but the one omake where reigen takes them all out for a “client” but it just is reigen trying to give them all a fun summer day because teru mentioned how his family doesnt ever really see him... oh my god its about That. just an adult figure caring for teru makes me happy and thats why i love their relationship so much.

also, i have much less thoughts about this (or at least now i do), but the idea of teru and ritsu being friends sounds so funny. like i dont have many thoughts on it; its all mainly this comic on them

My unpopular opinion about this character

hmmm, i think all of my opinions are echoed by the people in my corner of the fandom, but one i can think of is like just about Every take on his fashion sense is so cold, besides the one thats like “hes a rich teenager living on his own and thats why his fashion sense is like that.” like he obviously cares about his own appearance, but aahkdshjkg i dont think its like so much as so many people put on him. also for the love of god focus on his other interests other than fashion for once,

idk, i think most of my opinions boil down to “i dont like what hes been reduced to/what the fandom always focuses on for him.”

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

oh, hm! i wish they hadnt cut out the one scene in s2 (around the beginning of the world domination arc, at teru’s apartment) where teru basically shows off his powers and how much hes grown and knows... i get Why they cut it out, but, as far as i remember, its such a good part of his character i wish they had kept in!

i also hope that they add a little extra of him in s3 since i feel like they will have more time left over ... 👉👈

Kat brought this on herself . She made this bed , and now she has to lie in it . The snake was seriously going around to my friends , IMing them , telling them to GHOST me . She was insistent on them not coming to me for my side of the story . And this isn’t speculation , I have actual literal screenshots of her doing this --- Making up all sorts of shit that just isn’t true . Saying “ the whole fandom hates her “ and “ she’s already lost followers .” Who ?? I would like to see who these people are because I certainly am not aware of their existence . Her first mistake ( and I hate that this might sound like some sort of humble brag , because it’s not ) was targeting someone who has been in the same fandom for six years . People know me . People knew it was fishy af as she slid into their DMs with all these claims , saying “ but you didn’t hear it from me .” I have absolutely no sympathy that this whole scheme , that Im sure she thought was foolproof , blew up in her face . I mean , the effort she put into this to try and make me look bad ; Sitting at your house right frothing at the mouth over something that happened a year ago , badly photoshopping screenshots of my blog . Bet she was proud of that one . Making a whole new blog to try and badmouth me , then pretend it’s NOT her , as if we’re stupid ?? I mean it genuinely when I say , I do however feel bad for her friends that she’s manipulated into believing she’s the victim here . I’ve blocked all of them Im pretty sure for my own protection , but if you’re somehow lurking and see this , I’m still willing to show you my actual mountain of receipts that shows what a liar , what a manipulator , what a fucking snake this girl is . She tried it . She really did . Now , I’m down from the high of watching my stalker get outed , and I just want to get back to writing my baby boy . BANGTAN SONYEONDAN AKA MEME SQUAD !!!!!!! honestly they just make me so beyond happy wow holly nobody ever says that about their favs ur original a LOOOT of music is centered around love these days and not to say bts doesn’t do that with a lot of their music but they also tackle a lot of societal issues and I really respect them for that. there’s no person in particular that really sticks out but I will say I’ve always admired jungkook, and really all trainees for that matter, who leave their families to start training really young because its a process thats hard physically, emotionally and mentally for late teen/early twenties trainees but there’s sO many kids who enter in their pre-teens and idk how they survive also I realized this doesn’t answer your question at all I'm sorry its 1:28 AM I’m just waiting for the DNA mv to drop

I’d absolutely love to be in the entertainment industry and I think the staging, costuming, group dynamics and publicity (variety shows, fan service/interations) in the kpop industry are all really cool but I honestly don't think I have the mental strength to do it lmao idols go through so much and I don’t think I could handle it regardless of how much I enjoy singing/dancing/performing etc.

english and some spanish??? [1/3] Hi Pia, I wanted to ask u something cuz Im getting shit for an OC Im writing & idk what to do. When I read ur Fae Tales I was v confused by Gwyn&Augus' relationship as I felt like Gwyn hurt more than felt better during their scenes. W time tho I kinda understood that in order for Gwyn to overcome part of his trauma, Augus was having him deal with it by doing stuff that Gwyn hates. Im trying to deal with a similar topic here, but Ive been told that my dom OC is abusive & that its disgusting

[2/3] of me to think abt it as something acceptable. My OC has been abused since he was a kid, both physically & emotionally and he’s now at a poit of his arc where hes desperate to feel better and not disgusted w himself. So he asked his dom to help him break (and he’s v resistent, since he bottled up everything since he was young). Im not writing that the dom enjoys it in any way, but I still get shit like “youre sick, you cant do this, you know nothing abt ptsd”. // [3/3] I really feel bad for this, since I dont wanna pass the message that I condemn abuse in any way. I dont understand whether this is fandom purity or me not doing my research right and fucking up. Also bcos it’s a one-time thing, it’s not something that will go on and continue, since I myself am not comfortable with writing abuse. Idk what to do, can u help me?

It is really tough for me to give advice on something I haven’t read. I mean I kind of…can’t? I can only really give like, very very general advice, to you as a writer, and I’m not sure how helpful it will be.

Like, maybe you are misrepresenting PTSD. Maybe it is coming across a certain way. I can’t tell you whether that’s happening or not. I don’t know if you’re getting any positive comments, or any positive feedback, and I don’t know what fandom you’re in to say whether it’s definitely purity wank (like Dragon Age, where it often is, but still doesn’t mean that some people don’t make good critiques of things).

However, I will say this:

An author has the right to write the scene you’re describing, and even misrepresent PTSD or BDSM or whatever is happening, and it still has a right to exist in the world. That doesn’t mean it will be free from criticism, and if you write controversial or ‘dark’ content, it likely won’t be free from criticism. Them’s the breaks.

You have the right to delete comments, ignore them, or choose to take them on board. And probably some other choices (like taking some of it on board, adding an extra warning in your story like ‘this isn’t a representation of a healthy relationship’ or whatever, and then deleting the comments or ignoring them).

You’re clearly being bullied, and getting personal hate. As soon as someone takes the feedback from ‘this is unhealthy and squicky’ to ‘you’re sick’ - they are erroneously assuming that you are the same as your writing, and that’s not okay. It’s not accurate, not correct, and usually indicates the comment itself is only really fit for the trash. It strongly points towards purity wank bullshit. You don’t have to honour attacks on your personal character, and I strongly believe that folks shouldn’t bother engaging with people who attack their personal character in fic feedback.

I get comments like this on my work sometimes. I delete them. On the very rare occasion I might respond, when I think it’s more valuable for a reader to see a sound, reasoned, non-defensive response that calmly explains what I’m doing in a way that shows both sides of the situation. That’s rare. I just delete them. Once or twice those people have chased me into my inbox, where I block them.

I can’t comment on your story, the quality of your story, or whether you’re achieving what you set out to achieve, or if it’s being done well. I haven’t read it, I can’t do that. The only thing I’d say is make sure that your tags are comprehensive, and if you don’t have one already, maybe consider a warning in your author’s note at the beginning that you’re not trying to write a realistic/healthy relationship and anyone expecting that should exit stage right (or something similar).

I warn for the same with Gwyn and Augus. Honestly you’d think people would know this, being in the fiction tags, but they don’t. Especially people who toe the purity wank line.

I can say that you - as a human being - do not deserve to be personally attacked for what you’re writing, and the delete button is within your reach re: these people’s feedback (if it’s on AO3 anyway). You need to make sure you can look after yourself, and also that you don’t cave to people who cast aspersions on your character. Maybe there are flaws in your fic, all you can do is change that in the future or choose to edit now, if you decide to do neither because you’re not comfortable with abuse, then that’s that. You still have the right to protect yourself from people who are hounding you, and blocking folks who don’t understand one of the most fundamental laws of fanfiction - The First Law of Fandom: ‘Don’t like? Don’t read.’

And maybe take some time to remember what you like about writing fic. Go find some positive comments you’ve had, or read some stories you’re proud of. I’m not sure if any of this stuff helps, because it always hurts a lot to get these kinds of comments, but haters will always exist in the world, and sometimes the most important thing is to just let them know that you won’t tolerate them around the things that you’re creating out of love, for free.

1. Why did you choose your url?

4 years ago i was looking for a non-fandom related url that i could keep for a long time, so i started brainstorming by throwing together a bunch of random words. its just “iridescent” + “tides” without the extra t in it bc uhh i like water and beaches. it was between this, “statictides,” “crimsontides,” and “eclexium” which is literally just a random word i made up
