listen. Listen. it is vitally important to me that folks understand. a major charm of gomens is how WEIRD lookin our leads are. it's about the ridiculous hairpieces and costumes. they're not trying to be sexy all the time. which is incidentally very sexy of them.

not that i wasn't doing it for the longest time in the 2010s and it probably is a stepping stone that many younger artists will eventually outgrow but man something about the pinterest reference industrial complex bums me out.... nothing takes the magic out of a piece of art like seeing it and being like i know exactly what photo from the aesthetic side of pinterest this pose/study is from

hiiii guys its me ivy lagtrain back from the dead (WOAH!) pretty crazy ik right... thank u for all the cheers and applause... tbh i dont really know why i stopped posting for like 4? 5?? or so months but im (probably) back so yayyyyyy! uhh. heres some fun things ive gotten up to in my absence:
-best friend moved away :(
-finished first semester and successfully avoided killing myself over biology
-started second semester and have been rapidly going back and forth between slaying at and failing miserably at math
-developed new & unimproved interests (which will soon become apparent)
-developed a caffeine addiction (me & a friend bought the local safeway out of their entire stock of pacific punch a couple weeks back. whoops!)
-developed a dog allergy
-rekindled a friendship with someone i stopped talking to for. Reasons. and now i am in emotional turmoil for the same reasons

is ur instagram gone or😭😭
it is....it got deleted last wednesday and im still fighting for it to be back. it was deleted for "violating community guidelines" even tho I wasn't on instagram all day. my guess is that someone either like. mass flagged my ass which i doubt cuz im just standing here. my other guess is that i had enough strikes for my account to be deleted, but they forgot to delete it and then they finally remembered to nerf. I also never got a warning before they deleted my account. I will admit, if I don't get my account back, you will not see my ass back on instagram for a long time. If i don't get my account back I'm just going to take some time to re-evaluate how I want to proceed on that app because I don't want to restart and build up that following again, especially because it took me nearly a decade......so yea. I'm fighting instagram at the moment and I don't know if anyone else can help by submitting their own reports thru their app that my account was deleted wrongly

shout out to everyones who's brains and nervous systems have been wrecked by stressors + the state of the internet + everything else going on. I promise we'll adapt and I promise things will be alright, focus on making good small decisions to protect your well-being like cutting certain platforms (instagram, twitter, whatever you feel like) and having a look through your follow list to see if unfollowing some people might help. try giving your brain a rest by letting yourself be bored some times. try doing a puzzle or a physical task without a podcast or music or netflix drama. consider not clicking on that expose video of someone you dont know. hesitate before telling someone off in the comments or joining in on an online argument that you can opt out of. protect yourself so you can make your world a better place. push yourself when needed. cut the onslaught of overstimulation where you can, if you want.
I am saying this as someone who's never felt at home irl, with adhd and dyspraxia, general awkwardness, chronic depression, struggles with regulation and im sure a bunch of other things. I really struggle reducing screen time because it often feels like the outside world rejects me, I'm sure some of you relate to that, but I'm taking small steps to make things easier for me in the long run and day to day. it doesnt matter if we don't reach some end goal of total and complete peace and purity or whatever, all that matters is that we're choosing to be more mindful of how we navigate this world of constant stimulation. and i fully believe in all of us :)

I wish when ppl talked about eating healthy they actually meant eating healthy, and not a roundabout way of saying "being skinny". what's considered "health food" is food that doesn't make you fat, no matter how harmful it actually is for human consumption. and what's considered "unhealthy" is what makes you fat, no matter how nourishing it is.
like. to eat healthy you have to eat.. enough. and this means also eating carbs and fats and sugars, sorry !!! this also means sometimes you will become fatter because this is what your body wants to do to store nutrients
like if a skinny person is eating handfuls of flax seeds (very toxic to humans and potentially lethal. ie not healthy) ppl will go yaay health food<3 skinny legend !!! but if I (fat) am eating a burger with cheese and tomato and lettuce and onion (has basically every food group inside, and protein, iron, calcium, vitamin c, etc. and will give me energy for a good portion of the day) ppl get disgusted because this is socially designated Fat Food :'(
like. get over it. in your perfect ideal future where everyone eats healthy, ppl will still be fat !!! get over it ! and people will also eat things that straight up ARE unhealthy because they want to ! and you still have to get over it :(
