13. Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?

hahahahahhahhah hhahhhaaaaaa no im stupid i dont do things out of self-preservation. although i DID make a confusing outline for come away to the water bc it was getting to jumbled in my brain. i think its pretty easy to digest but A LOT of it is “ummm and then [someone] does smth stupid but brave”

18. Do you have a WIP that you keep telling yourself you’ll eventually get back to, but deep down you know that’s probably a lie?

mmm i have many wips but tbh i think i will get to them all eventually. there is one in particular that i am in no rush to get to, but i know it will get done. she is a sakura-centric therapeutic piece so i only write it when i am rly rly in need of some self-soothing. i guess thats the closest i can think of

20. What’s your favorite part about the fanfiction writing process?

when it’s been done for a whiiiiile and ive forgotten that i hate it. so i go back to reread/edit and im like ah. this is not as bad as i thought it was

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

friends to lovers. hostile friends to lovers. ur so fucking annoying i love u sm. this is the vibe for me 100% of the time (also ive written a lot of only-one-bed and im not sorry)

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

yea tbh all the pressure is 100% self-imposed sooooo i just do it lol. challenged myself to write 100k words in feb for no other reason than that i just wanted to do that to myself. but! i did it tho so id say pressure benefits me lol

a lil snip from my sakura-centric fic since i already mentioned it:

“You would love the cherry blossoms,” Sakura says, even though she’s not sure at all that he would. She’s not sure of anything about him at all, most days. “You should see them. One day. It’s beautiful to see them in full bloom. The world is pink and easy,” she says, staring out into the trickling stream, following its path down jagged rocks, flanked on either side by violet flowers and dark green shrubs, only to disappear down the horizon and off some other precipice she has yet to explore.

“I have seen it,” he says. She looks at him in surprise, because it is unfathomable to her that her samurai exists outside of this cold country, outside of his iron shell.

“Really?” she asks in disbelief.

“I’ve been watching it for five months now.” Her cheeks are flushed, and she knows it’s not from the nippy air, but it’s easy to pretend it is. They stare at that stream together, watching as the sky turns as pink as her cheeks. As her hair. As the cherry blossoms she knows are blooming back home.

35. How much has writing fic changed your life?

in short: a lot.

lmfao my first foray into writing was with fic when i was like?? 11?? 12?? super young. but it gave me the confidence to explore expression and fantasizing and these r two things that r vvvvv important in my life. without fic i wouldn’t have started songwriting and that is quite literally my career now so!! thank u fanfic

luther spent so much of his time doing RESEARCH on the MOON in SPACE he was an ASTRONAUT he did a bunch of MEASUREMENTS and BRAIN SHIT on the MOON have i mentioned he went to the MOON?? and also he is a LEADER and probably a somewhat good STRATEGIST the boy is a ravenclaw through and through smh

diego we agree on hes a gryffindor bitch bc hes rash and impulsive but is willing to throw hands for people like, immediately, i mean come on the man is a literal vigilante his whole Thing is saving people by doing irresponsible shit

allison is slytherin as FUCK her whole JAM is that she is ambitious and is willing to use what’s at her disposal (rumors) to get to where she wants to be, she is silver-tongued (where’s my medal for that pun) and makes decisions and actions that have a heavy impact on the ppl around her, which she then regrets, AND ALSO, she is so fucking loyal like literally she is trying SO HARD to be a good sister to vanya and she is honestly just doing her best and i HATE how jkr portrayed slytherins so fuck that and fuck her allison is a slytherin and she is a damn good one who is a cutthroat fight for her family bitch ok

klaus is the FURTHEST thing from hufflepuff anon, like legit he is NOT a hufflepuff (once again FUCK YOU JKR MY CANON NOW) and why?? why, you ask??? because he is implied to have freeloaded off of and stolen from his siblings, he is a major selfish asshole for most of the show before he meets dave (i may be coming off too harsh, i admit, but YOU WANTED A BRAWL YOU ARE GETTING A PUBFIGHT) and he’s dependant on drugs and kind of brushes off the shit he does as Fine and Okay and Totally Normal which, no honey, it isn’t, you can’t just avoid your problems by shooting up, you have to confront your feelings and process them and get some therapy... klaus is a slytherin bc like allison he is willing to go Far, like, Very Far to get what he wants (drugs) even tho it’s self destructive and he will regret it. also ghosts are an emo thing

we agree on five lol so im not gonna go into him, but he, like allie and klaus, is willing to go REALLY FUCKING FAR (HELLO??? MURDER???) to protect who he is loyal to and cares about (his fam), also he is terrible at feelings and expressing them and generally is kind of a huge prick a lot of the time

(every time i insult them btw i do so with love theyre all dear to me and i care about them, but it happens that theyre also all massive assholes)

ben we also agree on bc BOOKS and NERD and CUTTING-EDGE SARCASM AND WIT. hes a nerd

vanya is a hufflepuff but i am actually very open to her being a slytherin, i said hufflepuff bc it’s usually the house that’s like, undermined and forgotten abt and the “weaker” and “less important” one with all the “useless people who don’t have a personality so they’re all lumped in together” (which is So Very Incorrect (hufflepuffs are great finders) but thats how they are perceived wHICH IS WHY IT FITS VANYA!!) so bc people underestimate hufflepuffs and they come off as generally non-threatening, same w vanya, everyone thought she was a dud who didn’t have any strength or anything, but SIKE she’s actually a BAMF and can, will, and has kicked everyone’s ass (CEDRIC IF YOU’RE OUT THERE I STILL APPRECIATE YOU A WHOLE LOT MWAH<33)
