"I'm craving pork belly right now," you said as you looked at your best friend, Kim Sunwoo. "Dude, same. I dreamt of eating pork belly and kimchi last week and I've been craving since," he replied.
"I ate pork belly yesterday with Sooyoung unnie and Hyeju," Park Chaewon said with one of her eyebrows raised as though it was such a big deal. Actually, it really was for both you and Sunwoo.
"Wow, I don't mind you ganging up on me in PUBG but this?" Sunwoo said, rolling his eyes, "Traitor." Gowon smirked as she saw how you looked so betrayed, and continued raising her brow to further provoke you.
"She's so annoying, I swear to god," you said, turning to face Sunwoo, making sure to sound like a Regina George dupe, "Like that face that she makes? Chaewon seriously gets on my nerves every single time."
As a result, Gowon shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes at you. You gave her a look that she always does, which made Sunwoo laugh.

Twisting and turning on her bed, a frustrated Chaewon finally sits up and grabs her phone from her nightstand. The glow of the screen was burning her eyes, partly because of its brightness and partly because it's 3:09 a.m. and she hasn't gotten even a minute of sleep. Yena's words kept echoing in her head together with the cruel words that she uttered to you which was accompanied by her bitchy actions.
To say that Chaewon felt guilty would be an understatement. It's been four days since Yena visited her in HYBE and she's been having a hard time sleeping, her mind replaying her encounter with you endlessly. She knew that she needed to make things right but how could she?
Chaewon remembered how she wanted nothing more than to apologize to you when she saw you at Music Bank two days ago. Seeing you stand there laughing with Gowon made her freeze; she watched how happy you looked, your eyes sparkling with joy, the smile on your lips were reaching your eyes, and your overall aura just looked so at ease. It was the complete opposite of you back when she confronted you in her dressing room. Chaewon also knew that if she interrupted you, that beautiful expression plastered on your face would leave faster than the speed of light.
She didn't want to do that; the expression that you wore made you look like a ray of sunshine, and Chaewon doesn't want to be the reason why thunderclouds would dull you up, even if she knows that she already plays that role in your life.
Looking back at her phone, Chaewon felt awful because she wanted to have a decent rest but the thoughts in her mind won't let her. Suddenly, she felt her stomach grumble. 'Well, I don't have anything better to do anyways,' she thought.
Chaewon got up from her bed and grabbed a stray hoodie from her desk chair, and got out of her room, making sure that she wouldn't make any sound. As she was about to go out, she heard footsteps shuffling behind her, "Are you going out?"
The short-haired girl turned around and was faced with their tallest member. "Yeah, I couldn't sleep," Chaewon said exasperatedly, "So I decided to go out and get food."
Yunjin nodded tiredly, rubbing her eyes, "Can you get me some chips too?"
Chaewon smiled at the girl before responding, "Of course, I'll be back in a bit," she said as she exited their dorm.
In all honesty, Chaewon had no idea what she wanted to eat. She is starving, yes, but the amount of thoughts that were already occupying her head was so much that she couldn't think of what to get despite seeing numerous convenience stores as she walked.
The girl decided to enter the next convenience store, knowing that she doesn't have enough energy to walk any longer. Grabbing the basket, she browsed the shelves and searched for the chips that she knew Yunjin liked.
While checking every aisle, Chaewon felt goosebumps all over her skin, which was somewhat unusual. She dismissed it because it was probably just because of the temperature. She then proceeded to grab a few snacks for Eunchae, and decided to settle for a packed meal that needed to be reheated at the counter.
As she was about to pay for her stuff, she could see a figure of a person by her peripheral vision, but decided to pay no mind to it. Besides, it's normal for sleep deprived people to buy at convenience stores at this time… right?
The girl handed her card to the cashier. After paying, the cashier left to microwave her food, so she decided to look behind her and just as she expected, the figure was gone. The cashier returned to the counter to hand her the food, which Chaewon grabbed with a small smile that reflected her exhaustion.
Chaewon left the store and opened her phone to send a quick text to Yunjin,
are you still up? i just left the store, i'm omw back
After hitting send, she placed her phone back in her pocket. It was still relatively dark, and most of the stores were still closed which meant that there were only a few sources of light on the street. Suddenly, she felt goosebumps once again and the unsettling feeling of someone staring at you. As she was about to look behind her, she felt a body collide with hers.
"Kim Chaewon," The girl felt her whole body freeze. She dreaded for something like this to happen, and she now regrets going out, "You're Kim Chaewon, right?" The strange man asked her, his hand on the girl's shoulder, hindering her from making any sudden movements.
She knew how risky it was to wander through the streets at this time, especially since she's alone. Chaewon could feel the tears threatening to spill from her eyes. 'This is all my fault,' she thought. For once since meeting Yena, her mind was occupied by something that wasn't you, but this frightened her. Nothing could ever prepare her for the danger that she's faced with right now.
Due to her lack of response, the man forcefully shook her, and that's when the tears ran down her cheeks, then suddenly, she heard a voice speak.
"What do you think you're doing?" Chaewon shut her eyes tightly, she felt the man shuffle behind her before he spoke, "Oh, I'm just talking with my girlfriend, we were just arguing but everything's fine and there's nothing here that concerns you."
Chaewon felt the man grip her shoulder tighter, which made her groan in pain, "Are you sure about that? She doesn't seem to be fine."
Suddenly, it clicked. Chaewon did her best to look behind her, and despite her blurry vision due to the tears filling her eyes, she was able to meet your worried pair of eyes. Then, it felt like everything happened in slow motion. Chaewon saw you clench your jaw before lunging towards the man and grabbing him by the collar.
"I swear to god," The short-haired girl shuddered at the calm yet threatening tone you used, "I may not look as strong, but I can definitely take a scrawny guy like you, so unless you want to end up with broken limbs, I suggest you to leave."
You felt immense anger as you stared into the man's eyes which was filled with both worry and annoyance. He tried to pull back, but your grip on his collar was too tight that your knuckles turned white. Suddenly, you let go of his collar which made him lose his balance and fell.
"Fucking bitch," you heard him mutter as he dust himself off then ran from the scene while you made sure to watch him leave. Chaewon stood there silently, not knowing what to do nor what to say. She was grateful for your help but now she doesn't know how to deal with you. With all the pent up stress both from the fears from her situation earlier and your presence, she felt herself cry harder that she couldn't contain the sobs that she let out.
Suddenly being aware of your surroundings once again, your eyes traveled to the girl and you could feel your heart break at the sight. "Chaewon sunbaenim," you said, unsurely. The said girl looked up to meet your eyes but all you could see was the pained expression that she wore. You opened your arms with uncertainty but all the hesitation washed away once the girl lunged forward and wrapped her arms around your waist in an embrace.
Chaewon could feel your arms wrap around her body tightly, and at that moment, she knew that she was safe. No one could hurt her. You were there.
"Are you hurt? Did he hurt you? Should I call the cops?" You asked calmly, but the short-haired girl could hear the concern laced in your tone, and she couldn't help the fluttering of her heart accompanied by the warmth of her cheeks, "No," Chaewon answered weakly, "I'm fine, I just—"
Chaewon was interrupted by her own sobs. She felt embarrassed that you had to see her in such a state but the negative thought quickly left her mind as she felt your hand caress her hair and your other hand rub circles on her back, "Let's get you home, okay?"
You waited for the girl's response and you felt her nod. She untangled herself from your embrace and you couldn't help but miss the warmth that she provided. Chaewon started walking before you, and as she was about to reach for the food that she bought which were now on the floor, you held her hand and grabbed the bag with the other.
Chaewon looked up to your face but your eyes were already locked on hers, "Lead the way," you said with a small smile, and the girl could feel her heart explode.
The two of you walked in silence and Chaewon could feel your grip on her hand tightening every now and then as though reassuring her that you were there and that you wouldn't leave her side.
Eventually, you arrived at their dorm and Chaewon slowly unlocked the door before stepping in. "Chaewon unnie, what took you so long?" Yunjin asked before seeing you at their doorstep, "Oh, Y/N-nim, hi!"
You smiled in response as the taller girl ushered you into their apartment. "I was confronted by a stranger, but Y/N saved me from getting harassed," Chaewon said, the exhaustion in her voice was obvious even as she tried to hide it.
Yunjin's eyes widened at the revelation, but decided to drop the topic after getting a look at her leader. She knew better than to pry. The said leader went straight to her room as your eyes were locked on her. After seeing her enter, you handed the bag to Yunjin who accepted it with a smile.
You were about to leave when Yunjin's voice interrupted the silence, "Thank you," she said, quietly. You stared at her in question before she continued, "I heard from Yena unnie that you and Chaewon unnie aren't on good terms," she mentioned, and you wanted to give Yena an earful for not knowing how to keep a secret.
The taller girl smiled at you before continuing, "But I'm really glad that you helped her out." You gave Yunjin a genuine smile before replying, "Of course, I'm sure that if the roles were changed, your leader would've done the same."
She nodded at your words, "You should stay," you stared at her with wide eyes before she tried to clarify what she meant, "If you're not busy, I mean. I think you should stay with unnie for a bit, until she realizes that she's safe."
You nodded before agreeing, giving her one last smile before going towards the direction of Chaewon's room. The pounding on your chest was pretty much uncontrollable, but you chose to ignore it and knock on the girl's door.
"Come in," you heard Chaewon's muffled voice before your hand reached for the doorknob and entered her room. Her back was facing you but it did nothing to ease your nerves, "I just wanted to make sure that you're all settled before I leave," you uttered, hesitantly.
There was a long silence, and you were just about to retreat and leave when you heard her respond, "Can you stay?" Chaewon's voice was soft and unsure, and deep inside, her fears were eating her alive because why would you choose to stay with her when the last time you spoke with each other, she was such a douchebag to you. Despite that, she decided that there's nothing more to lose, "Please?"
With her back still facing the door, Chaewon could hear her heart pounding. After a few seconds, she heard shuffling and the sound of her door closing. She expected it. You didn't have any reason to stay. Her shoulders dropped at the realization that once again, she's all alone, just as she expected.
What she didn't expect though is for her bed to dip behind her, and for a hand to reach out and stroke her hair. Chaewon's tears began to resurface.
"Of course," you said, glancing at the back of her head, where your hands were playing with some of the strands of her hair, "I'm here."
You stayed.
Her tears started to fall and all she could feel was how drained she was with the week-long overthinking and the incident earlier, but at the same time, you were there with her. She had you, and it feels like that is all she needs at the moment.
You heard a quiet sob coming from the short-haired girl, and you have never felt so lost than you did at that moment. What happened earlier surely struck terror into the girl, and you had no idea how to console her. As a soloist, you were simply responsible for yourself and you didn't have other members to care for. On the other hand, Chaewon came from a 12-member group and is currently a leader of a 5-member group; the difference between the two of you is very noticeable.
All of a sudden, the girl turned and in an instant, you were met with her tear filled eyes. It was cut short because Chaewon wrapped her arm around your torso in a flash, hugging your body closely as though she was clinging for support. And at that moment on, you wanted nothing more than to hold her close regardless if you were on good terms or not.
Chaewon didn't know what came over her; with a sudden boost of confidence, she wrapped you in an embrace, knowing that it is all she needs to get rid of the unwanted thoughts that were clogging her brain. Unexpectedly, she felt your arm drape on her back, pulling her closer to your body as the other hand stroked her hair calmly, and Chaewon could swear that she's never felt more comfortable than she did at this moment.
"You should get some sleep," your quiet voice echoed in the silent room, "You don't have to worry about anything, I'll keep you safe."
The short-haired girl nodded weakly as she felt more tears fall onto your shirt. Chaewon was glad that her face was buried on your body because without a doubt, you would have seen how red she was if her face wasn't hidden.
Despite the fatigue that she felt, Chaewon didn't want to fall asleep just yet; she wanted to enjoy your company and how you held her so tightly against your warmth. Unfortunately for her, the exhaustion is already taking a toll on her and as the minutes passes, her eyelids started getting heavier, and she couldn't help but succumb to the deep sleep that awaits her.
Tumblr media
Her body felt heavy all over as she awoke. That was the first time in a short while where she was able to get a good and uninterrupted sleep. However, instead of feeling recharged, she felt as though her body was underneath an elephant and she refused to get up.
But as she was just about to go back to sleep, she realized that her comfortable source of warmth was gone. She tiredly looked around her room and saw that you were nowhere to be found, and there weren't even any signs that you were there.
Chaewon felt disappointed but there's really nothing she could do about it. It's not like you were obliged to stay with her. Heck, she was a bitch to you, you didn't owe her anything. Perhaps she just might even be too spent last night that she imagined everything that happened in her room.
Knowing that there's no way she could sleep without your presence, Chaewon groggily got up from her bed before exiting her room. As she stepped out of the comfort of her private space, she was met with the scent of cheese balls, ramen, and fried chicken which made her stomach growl, 'Right, I wasn't able to eat my food,' she thought.
She then went straight to the kitchen area where she froze at the sight. There you were, cooking instant ramen while your back was facing the girl. 'She really stayed?'
"Y/N?" Chaewon called out hesitantly. You turned around, a bit surprised at her voice suddenly appearing behind you, "Hey," you said, a small smile forming on your lips, "You're awake."
Chaewon mirrored your expression as she slowly approached you, "Yeah," She looked at the wall clock that showed 12:56 p.m. "I'm sorry, I overslept, where's everybody?"
You returned your focus to the ramen, transferring the contents from the pan to the bowl, "Don't worry about it, I'm glad you were able to rest," you said, "Yunjin and Eunchae went to Kazuha and Sakura sunbaenim's dorm."
Chaewon nodded before taking a seat at one of the chairs. You placed the bowl on the table and prepared the plates and utensils that you and Chaewon were going to use.
The two of you ate in silence aside from the noise coming from the utensils and Chaewon humming at the cheese balls that you made. After having your meal, Chaewon picked up the used dishes and placed it on the sink. You followed her, watching her movements closely.
"I don't mean to pry," you spoke softly, "But how are you feeling?"
Chaewon leaned on the sink as she faced you, "I'm feeling much better now," she uttered softly, she looked up to meet your gaze and it took everything in her to maintain eye contact. She watched as you grinned, "That's a relief."
There was a short moment of silence until the girl cleared her throat, "Listen, Y/N," she started, "I would like to thank you," Chaewon said, studying your face, "I don't know what would've happened if you didn't show up."
You responded with a tight-lipped smile before speaking, "You shouldn't worry about it," you sighed before continuing, "You're stronger than you think, I'm sure that you would've been able to take him down even without me," you said, light-heartedly.
Chaewon gave a small chuckle before getting serious once again, "Also, I've been wanting to talk to you," she started. The short-haired girl lowered her gaze to the floor, avoiding your curious eyes.
Taking a deep breath, Chaewon prepared herself to finally say what she's been meaning to tell you, "I wanted to apologize," she said, softly, stealing a glance at you but immediately returning her gaze to the floor as though it is the most interesting thing that she ever laid her eyes on.
"I was so rude towards you after the shoot, I said mean things, I–" Chaewon inhaled deeply before speaking, "I'm really sorry. I was such a jerk."
Chaewon finally found the courage to meet your gaze and continued, "You didn't deserve any of that, and I'm really sorry," she felt her heart pounding, finding your expression frightening because she couldn't read you one bit, "I overheard you talking in your dressing room once, and I thought that you were slandering me."
"It was wrong for me to immediately assume that you were talking about me without properly confronting you about it, and my actions during our confrontation were inexcusable," Chaewon dropped her gaze once again, her hand subtly shaking because of the nerves, "I'm really sorr–"
"I know."
Suddenly a pair of hands wrapped around Chaewon's shaky ones which caused the girl to widen her eyes in disbelief, she looked up and was finally met with your eyes, "I know the reason behind your meltdown," you started, "I was just waiting for you to approach me and apologize."
Chaewon stared at you curiously, "What do you mean you know? How?"
You chuckled at her confused expression and the absurdity of your answer, "Yena unnie," Chaewon already knew what you were about to say, "Our friend can't really keep a secret, you know?"
The short-haired girl nodded, her cheeks tainted with pink hue due to embarrassment as well as realizing how close your distance was, "I can see how you could misinterpret what I said that day and why you were upset."
You grinned at her and said, "But you still have to make up for it, don't you think?"
Chaewon smiled shyly before asking, "How can I make it up to you?" You could feel your cheeks heating up; the way Chaewon looked at you made you weak in the knees.
"That depends on you," you said, your voice was barely audible, but due to your close distance, Chaewon was able to hear you loud and clear, "How do you plan to make it up to me?"
Chaewon's right hand let go of yours which she quickly placed on your shoulder. You stared at her in question, but she only grinned in response as she moved her hand onto your neck.
"Does it really depend on me?" she asked looking into your eyes for the go signal, "You might not like it," she said, with a hint of hesitation in her tone.
"Try me," you could feel your cheeks heating up and you're scared that Chaewon might take notice of it as well, "I am an appreciative person, I'm sure I'll be grateful regardless."
The short-haired girl smirked, taking that as her go signal. Chaewon leaned in closer and you could practically hear your heart pounding, so you closed your eyes in anticipation.
'She's so adorable,' Chaewon thought, rubbing small circles on your neck with her thumb. She leaned closer until she finally planted a soft kiss on your cheek which barely touched your lips.
After a few seconds, the girl pulled away, searching for your eyes to see your reaction, and she was met with a somewhat disappointed stare, "You know what?"
Chaewon tilted her head in question like a lost puppy before you continued, "I take it back, I don't think I'm an appreciative person," the girl laughed at your statement, her eyes twinkling with joy, "You weren't grateful with what I gave you?" she asked light-heartedly.
You shook your head no, "Definitely not," you said with a pout, and Chaewon wanted nothing than to kiss it away.
And so she did.
Suddenly, you could feel her soft lips on yours and if Chaewon didn't hold onto you, you were sure that you would have melted right then and there. You removed your grasp on her hand and held onto her waist for support, before kissing back.
You could feel her other hand travel to your cheek to keep you closer. Chaewon tilts her head to deepen the kiss, and you just let it happen.
When the both of you pulled away, Chaewon was breathing heavily while you chuckled, "What's funny?"
"We finally did something about that annoying tension," you said, still chuckling. Chaewon laughed with you before replying, "And I'll do it again and again."
And so she did.

Buy Me A Coffee :)
Tumblr media
Your cheeks were stained with tears that hadn’t stopped flowing ever since the news was revealed. Heart clenching in your chest, you clamped your hand over your mouth in a desperate attempt to muffle your sobs. The faint creak of a door followed by hurried footsteps went unheard by you, it was only once a familiar sweet scent invaded your senses that you became aware of her presence. “It’s okay,” Yunjin soothed, unsure of which one of you she was trying to convince as she pulled you into her chest. “How can you say that?” You cried into her shoulder, both of you uncaring of the tears that soaked through her shirt.
“We promised we’d make it together, that we’d stay together forever,” your voice cracked as you spoke. “I know,” Yunjin whispered, voice undeniably shaky. “I wish it didn’t have to end like this, Y/n. But it’s out of our control,” she explained, tears springing to her eyes. “I just don’t understand,” you trailed off, voice muffled as you spoke into her shoulder. “I know it’s hard, but it’s time for us to move on,” she admitted tearfully, hopelessly blinking back the tears that threatened to fall. “I don’t want to,” you protested, grip around her waist tightening significantly. “Believe me when I say I never wanted this either,” she sighed, combing her fingers through your hair.
“You're so close to your dream Y/n,” Yunjin said, pausing briefly as you rapidly shook your head before she could continue. “It’s not a dream without you,” you cried harder, knowing what she was planning. “You’re going to do great things, with or without me,” she assured, rubbing soothing circles on your back. An involuntary sob ripped past your lips, her heart dropped at the sound. “I’ve got to stop kidding myself, it’s time for me to go home,” she spoke regretfully, eyes clenching shut as your cries only increased in volume. “I can’t do it without you,” you sniffled, finally lifting your head to meet her gaze. Yunjin finally let the tears fall freely down her cheeks at the sight of the vulnerability your tear filled eyes held.
“Promise me you’ll try,” she proposed, forehead creased in a deep frown. She reached her hands up to gently cup your cheeks, swiping away your tears with the pads of her thumbs. “Please,” she whispered, pleading as she gazed into your eyes. Unable to deny her, you reluctantly nodded your head sending her a tight lipped smile. “I’m so proud of you,” she smiled despite the tears that cascaded down her face. “I should be the one comforting you,” you groaned, a watery chuckle leaving her lips at your frustration. She leaned down slowly, pressing a lingering kiss to your cheek that spoke a thousand words. Yet another sob bubbled from your chest as she pulled you into a tight hug that felt painfully final.
“My flight leaves soon,” Yunjin informed softly, guilt plaguing her mind as the abruptness of her decision. “Please don’t leave,” you begged, knowing it was a hopeless endeavour. She released a shaky breath, tugging you impossibly closer, eyes fluttering closed as she attempted to burn the memory into her mind. “I love you,” she confessed, sucking her lips between her teeth. “Don’t tell me that, not now. It will only hurt more,” you mumbled into her neck, unwilling to let go just yet. “I couldn’t live with myself if I never told you,” she admitted. This wasn’t how she’d wanted to tell you, it was never supposed to be like this.
“I love you too,” you whispered, a sigh of relief leaving her lips the moment the words rolled off your tongue. You sniffled as she planted a kiss on the side of your head, her grip on you loosening as she began to retract her arms from around your waist. “Not yet,” you pleaded, fists clenched tightly around the fabric of her hoodie. “Okay, just a little longer,” she promised, unable to deny you of such a simple request. The longer she stayed the more it prolonged the hurt, but the pain was worth it for a few more moments in her arms. She was never supposed to let you go, the two of you had promised that you’d become idols together. But learning that not all promises last forever was something you wished you’d never had to do.
~~
Produce 48, the survival show that had brought your dreams to life while simultaneously robbing you of the best part. It was bittersweet, your heart was filled with joy upon hearing the news, but something was always missing. Everything felt wrong without her. You were happy, but there was no denying the lingering sadness that plagued your broken heart. The longing to have her by your side once more was something you feared would never leave you, but the pain was the only thing you had left of her. You were moving on without her, but it felt like each step was only taking you further in the wrong direction. Everything had happened so quickly that you’d barely had time to process any of it, caught up in a storm of constant training and endless showcases.
You loved it, everything about it, but you could never forget what you’d had to give up to have it.
~~
Yet another promise of forever was ripped from your grasp. The disbandment of Iz*one was an inevitable end you’d foolishly hoped to never face. Just as things were beginning to feel whole again, you were forced into another equally painful goodbye. The hollowness that remained with you became easier to ignore overtime, moving past it was something you’d come to accept would never happen. It was trying again that was troubling, the prospect of giving up became ever more enticing with each passing day. You didn’t know if you had it in you to continue, the risk of losing it all wasn’t something you were prepared to go through again. One thing you hadn’t anticipated was how convincing Chaewon could be when it came to persuasion.
You found yourself back in yet another practice room, hours on end spent perfecting each dance. It was tiresome, but it reminded you of how much you loved it. Being back with your friends, working towards being back on stage. “Did you hear?” Chaewon came up behind you, hand slung lazily over your shoulders. “Huh?” You grunted in questioning, momentarily averting your eyes from the screen that displayed your recorded dance. “The new addition to the line up,” she explained, eyes trained on the door ahead of you. “That’s today?” You asked, a sigh slipping past your lips as you leaned back against her. She merely hummed in response, eyes briefly flickering to you.
“Do we know anything about her?” You inquired, Sakura appearing by your side with a smile. Chaewon hesitated briefly, sharing a look with your fellow trainee before returning her gaze to you. “She’s-” The door began to swing open before she could speak, a head of black hair cautiously peaking through the gap. Your breath hitched as a familiar face covered in shock greeted you, Chaewon’s arm tightening around you in support. You slipped out of her grasp, stepping away from the gathered three, watching as they became reacquainted with one another from the sidelines. You blinked rapidly at the scene before you, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
All it took was one look and you were hit with the same feeling you were struck with all those years ago. The moment your gaze landed on her, you knew you were doomed. For a split second she glanced your way, a light smile adorning her lips as she met your eyes. Rooted in your place, you stare stiffly at the girl before you, heart thumping wildly in your ears. Everything passed by in a blur, your eyes unfocused as she leaned closer to whisper something inaudible to Sakura. You let your eyes flutter closed, offering yourself a moment of peace in an uninterrupted sanctuary. The light brush of fingertips on your bare shoulder snapping you back to reality. “Hey,” Yunjin greeted with a sheepish smile as your gaze landed on her.
One word from her lips was all it took for your walls to come crashing down.
~~
You’d foolishly allowed yourself to fall back into old habits with Huh Yunjin, something you were painfully aware that you’d soon come to regret. It was always easy to let her in, becoming friends with the girl was something you’d embraced willingly the second you laid your eyes upon her. She’d always been an affectionate person, but there was no denying the unspoken words that were shared between the two of you with each lingering touch. With you it was always different. Neither of you could resist the invisible force that pulled you together, sometimes it was easier to give in. Being friends with Yunjin was an effortless task, but remaining that way proved a troublesome feat.
Your chest heaved up and down as shuffled towards the wall, propping yourself against it in order to avoid collapsing. Squeezing your eyes shut as you tried to catch your breath, you brushed that strands of hair that stuck to your glistening skin from your face. A hand pat your shoulder lightly before coming to rest at your lower back, your eyes fluttering open to meet Yunjin’s empathetic gaze. “Here,” she offered, handing over the bottle of ice cold water from her grasp. You sighed as her fingers brushed against your own, sending her a grateful smile. She watched attentively as you took small sips of the cold water between breaths, face scrunching up disapproval.
“Drink more,” she urged, eyeing the way your legs shook unsteadily with a frown. “I’m fine,” you muttered in a pitiful attempt to reassure her, pushing yourself off the wall with a huff. “No you’re not,” she kept her hand at your lower back cautiously, worried that you may pass out from exhaustion. “I am,” you insisted, gritting your teeth in mild annoyance as you brushed her off. One step away from her had your legs giving out, her arms looping around your waist securely before you could hit the ground. “Please just sit down with me for a bit,” she said, receiving a reluctant nod of acceptance. She gently lowered you to the floor, taking up the spot beside you, her back pressed against the mirrored wall.
“I’m worried about you,” she admitted, a distant look in her eyes as they wandered the practice room. You sighed, anxiously fiddling with your fingers as you stared down at your lap. After so long being far apart, you’d almost forgotten how observant she was to the smallest details, how much she cared for those around her. Met by silence, she turned to face you with eagle eyes, gaze boring into the side of your head. You feigned ignorance, staring directly ahead in hopes of forgetting the way your heart jumped in your chest as her leg brushed against yours. Huffing, you began to lift yourself from the ground, receiving instant protest from Yunjin.
“Babe-” The pet name rolled off her tongue with ease, your movements halting the moment it slipped past her lips. “Y/n.” She quickly corrected, eyebrows furrowing at the way your shoulders visibly tensed at the sound of her voice. You remain unmoving, an unreadable expression plastered on your face as you stare down at the floor. She hesitantly reached out towards you, but just before her hand could meet yours staff began calling for you both. “Everyone gather round,” they shouted, each face reflecting a more sympathetic look than the last. Taking it as an opportunity to remove yourself from Yunjin’s presence, you found yourself by Chaewon’s side.
“Everything alright?” She whispered, wrapping an arm around your shoulder as she subtly nodded towards Yunjin. You hummed absentmindedly, leaning your head on her shoulder as her fingers began to comb through your hair. “Where’s Haruka?” You mumbled upon doing a quick scan of the room, only to find her nowhere in sight. “She had a meeting, I’m sure she'll be back soon,” Chaewon replied. A feeling of unease began to eat away at you, the staff finally beginning to speak as everyone had gathered. “We have some unfortunate news to share with you today,” he spoke regretfully, pausing momentarily as he glanced over the group. “I’m sad to say that moving forwards, Haruka will no longer be a part of this team,” he announced with a sigh.
Audible gasps could be heard echoing throughout the practice room, your hand flying up on instinct to cover your lips that had parted in shock. “We’ll let you guys say your goodbyes,” he said, the door opening to reveal a teary eyed Haruka. Everyone rushed towards her, tears filling their own eyes as they shared final words with her. No one knew quite what to say, but each of you made an attempt to console her. It all went by in a blur, forced to part ways with someone you’d hoped to have a future with once more. You were irked by how rushed it was, the only thing the staff had in mind was getting it over and done with so you could go back to training tirelessly
The room was unnervingly still as Haruka was ushered out of the building, a sorrowful silence filled the room. You kept your gaze firmly on the door, mind wandering as everyone tried to come to terms with the events that had transpired. A gentle grip on your wrist tugged you from your thoughts, your eyes flickering towards the source. “Y/n..” Yunjin trailed off with an empathetic look plastered across her face. Your eyes glanced briefly to where she grasped your wrist, before flitting back to her. “I can’t,” you whispered, pulling your hand from her grasp as if it burned. Ignoring the hurt that reflected in her eyes you hastily turned on your heel, rushing out the door without another word.
Yunjin briefly glanced around the room before making her own exit, no one daring to follow the two of you. She was hot on your tail as you sped through the halls, repeatedly calling out your name. Upon reaching a dead end, you abruptly stopped in your tracks. Yunjin cautiously lingered a few feet away from you, forehead creased in a frown as she heard the faintest sniffle come from you. You refused to turn around, fearful that one look in her eye would make your next choice impossible to go through with, your fists clenched tightly by your sides. “Please talk to me,” she begged, tone laced with an undeniable hurt. Met with silence, she hesitantly reached for you, forcing you to face her. She was unprepared for the sight of tears already streaming down your cheeks, her heart aching in her chest.
She raised her hand to gently caress your cheeks, swiping away the tears that fell freely. You let your eyes flutter shut as her hand came in contact with you, unable to pull away just yet. “I can’t do this anymore, Yunjin.” You admitted, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion at your words. “What do you mean?” She whispered anxiously, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face. “Us. It hurts too much,” you mumbled, offering her a sad smile. “I don’t understand, Y/n.” She lied, knowing exactly what you meant but not wanting to believe the truth. After all these years she could still read you like a book, something she wishes wasn’t bestowed upon her at this moment.
“I can’t lose you again,” you sighed, slipping from her grasp as you backed away from her. She shook her head rapidly in refusal, chocolate brown eyes swirling with sadness. “Don’t do this, Y/n,” she pleaded. “I’m sorry,” you whispered a tearful apology, cheeks dampened significantly. “I thought I could do it, but being close to you only hurts more,” you explained, though she wasn’t sure it was something she wanted to hear. There was a pregnant pause as you gazed at each other through blurry eyes, the silence holding a thousand unsaid words. Unable to bear it any longer, you brushed past her, Yunjin staying rooted in her place as silent tears rolled down her face.
~~
Yunjin peered at you from across the room, observing your every move. Your head was thrown back as a melodious laugh escaped your parted lips, eyes crinkled into crescents. Chaewon mirrored your expression, playfully hitting your shoulder in amusement. Sakura stood beside the two of you, shaking her head as she rolled her eyes at your antics, an undeniable fond look reflecting in her eyes. “Unnie,” Eunchae called from behind her, Yunjin whipping her head around to meet her gaze. “Can you help me with this part?” The younger asked, lazily pointing her finger towards the screen that displayed the correct formation. The older eagerly nodded, letting her gaze briefly flicker towards you before she went to assist the newest addition to the line-up.
The youngest picked up the dance with impressive speed, turning to Yunjin with a mischievous smirk once she’d learned everything necessary. The older raised an inquisitive brow at the way her eyes danced with curiosity. “What’s up with you and Y/n unnie?” She asked simply, Yunjin blinking in surprise at her boldness. No one else has ever dared to ask, fearful that it would only create more tension amongst the group. “Kkura unnie said you were close, but I only ever see her with Chaewon unnie. You both just stare at each other when the other isn’t looking,” Eunchae stated as if your mutual pining were obvious. The older furrowed her brows in confusion, whipping her head around only to meet your gaze for a split second before your eyes widened and you turned away so fast Yunjin was worried you’d strain your neck.
“It’s complicated..” Yunjin muttered distractedly as she continued to watch you with curiosity. Eunchae nodded, giggling in amusement as she shared a glance with a perplexed Kazuha who only furrowed her brows in confusion. The oldest of the three narrowed her eyes slightly as you continued to act as though you weren’t blatantly ignoring her, while also being caught staring. Your debut was just around the corner and she knew all this pinning wasn’t going to do the future of the group any good. Being away from you for all this time only cemented her love for you, years longing to be in your presence once more, but now she was and it was the opposite of what she’d dreamed of. You were right by her side, yet you felt further away than ever.
She’d foolishly hoped that everything would go back to normal, but oh how incredibly wrong she was. Yunjin was okay with being friends, it was how your relationship had begun before developing further the first time. She was willing to be patient with you, she was even fine with remaining friends if it made you happy. She understood your pain, but she couldn’t understand your decision to push her away. You were on her mind constantly, a dream and a nightmare she could never seem to escape. It hurts you to get close to her, but it hurts her to be forced away from you. What hurt more was the way you looked at her, as if you regretted everything, but you still never approached her to make amends. She knew you longed for it just as much as she did, but your fears outweighed that longing and your broken relationship was left in limbo.
~~
Your head snapped up at the sound of a faint knock on your door, Chaewon’s head popping through the gap. She smiled as you ushered her inside, taking a seat on the edge of your bed as she glanced around your undecorated room. “How are you settling in?” She asked, smiling as she caught sight of a framed picture of all the members of Iz*one sat atop your otherwise empty desktop. “It’s alright, I’m still getting used to it though,” you answered, receiving an understanding nod from the appointed leader. As you took a seat beside her on the bed, she smiled softly, taking your hand in her own. “Are you okay, Y/n?” She asked, leaving you blinking in surprise at the question, head tilting in confusion as you furrowed your brows.
“What do you mean, Unnie?” You questioned, feeling her thumb begin to rub your knuckles soothingly. “I’ve been worried about you lately,” she admitted, gnawing at the inside of her cheek. “I’m fine,” you dismissed quickly, attempting to calm her concerns. “You can’t lie to me, Y/n. I know you too well,” Chaewon spoke softly, eyes holding nothing but genuine concern. Sighing, you avoided her gaze, knowing it would only be so long before she convinced you to confess your troubles. “It’s about Yunjin, isn’t it?” Your eyes widened at the words that slipped past her lips with ease, your head whipping in her direction. “What makes you say that?” You asked, blinking rapidly as you sucked your lip between your teeth.
“I know you, Y/n. I knew the second she walked in the door that there was more to the story than you let on,” Chaewon stated, watching your expressions carefully as she spoke. “You loved her,” she stated, a knowing smile adorning her lips as she continued. “You still love her,” she acknowledged, observing you as the corners of your mouth were tugged downwards into a deep frown. “How..?” You questioned in disbelief, too stunned to deny her claims. “You’ve never looked at anyone the way you look at her,” Chaewon explained as if it were the most simple thing in the world. Sighing, you nodded hesitantly in understanding, unsure as to how she thought of you given this new revelation.
You anxiously nibbled on your lip, tapping your foot on the floor repeatedly, a nervous habit. “I love you nonetheless, Y/n.” She spoke as if reading your every thought, extinguishing the worries before they could corrupt your mind. “As long as you're happy, then nothing else matters,” she concluded with a ghost of a smile tugging at her lips. “But you’re not happy right now, are you?” She questioned, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze as she sent you a sad smile. “I am happy-” you began, receiving a disapproving frown from Chaewon as she narrowed her eyes at you. “Honestly. I really am, it’s just bittersweet.” You admitted truthfully, letting your guard down.
“I loved her then, and I love her now,” you said, a rueful grin plastered on your face. “But I know we can’t ever be anything more, so it’s easier not to get close and wonder about what could be,” you declared with a sense of finality that worried her. “It’ll only hurt us more in the end,” you muttered sorrowfully, Chaewon forehead creasing in a deep frown at your words. “If you love each other then nothing else should matter,” she spoke with a naivety that your past self was all too familiar with. Catching a glimpse of your doubtful gaze downcast on the floor, she briefly tightened her grip on your hand. “What I mean is, you and I both know how hard it is to come by love in this line of work,” she said sadly, lifting her free hand to pat your shoulder.
“I know, but I can’t..” You muttered, meeting her gaze with glassy eyes. Loving her hurt too much, the risk of losing Yunjin again within the blink of an eye wasn’t a thought your heart could cope with. “Just, don’t regret it. Not like I do,” Chaewon whispered cryptically, your eyebrows furrowing in confusion as you looked at her with wide eyes. “I’ll tell you about it later,” she smiled sadly, blinking back the tears that sprang to her eyes. “Don’t take it for granted,” she warned, pointing her finger at you in an accusatory manner. You nodded swiftly at her words, pulling her into a hug in hopes of expressing your gratitude. She had always been there for you at your worst, knowing exactly what to say in every situation, it almost scared you how well she knew you.
A knock on the frame of your open door had you both reluctantly pulling apart. You blinked in shock at the sight of Yunjin standing in the threshold, eyebrows furrowed as she watched you both break apart. “The manager is asking for you, Chaewon,” she mumbled with an unreadable expression crossing her face as your leader leaned down to whisper in your ear. “Promise you’ll think about what I said,” she muttered in your ear, breath tickling your skin as you pulled back with a giggle. She smiled as you nodded your head, rising to her feet and brushing past Yunjin as she exited the room. The older girl frowned, sucking her lip between her teeth as she watched you from the doorway, who paid her no mind as you continued to decorate your room. Turning on her heel with a huff, she retreated back to the confines of her own room dejectedly.
~~
After completing your debut stage, everyone returned to the dorms with wide smiles, far too excited to sleep, so you settled on a celebratory movie night. Only it ended up with all the members passed out on the couch as the adrenaline faded, exhaustion from hours of endless practice finally catching up on everyone. Yunjin glanced around the room, a sigh slipping past her lips as she nudged the girl beside her. Chaewon whined at the contact, sleepy eyes fluttering open to a dark living room. “What?” She groaned, stretching her limbs absentmindedly. “You should go to bed,” Yunjin suggested, already leaning over to shake Kazuha and Sakura awake. The leader rose from the couch without another word, shuffling towards her room silently. Kazuha startled awake, blinking in confusion before she adjusted to her surroundings.
Too tired to speak, the two Japanese girls stumbled towards their room with linked arms. “Eunchae,” Yunjin whispered, lightly tapping the youngest’s cheek with her finger. “Five more minutes,” she groaned in protest, turning around to snuggle further into the couch cushions. “Go to bed,” the older woman ordered with a chuckle, pulling her up from the couch. “I could’ve just slept there,” Eunchae complained drowsily, peering at the older through half closed eyes. “You’ll thank me later,” Yunjin claimed, pushing the younger girl out of the room by her shoulders. “You just want to be alone with Y/n unnie,” Eunchae grumbled, the older of the two shaking her head in amusement.
Huffing, Yunjin finally made her way towards the couch where you slept peacefully. Sighing, she made a weak attempt to shake you awake from your deep slumber, but to no avail. Mind wandering back to the past, she recalled how you’d always been troublesome to wake, a fond smile creeping onto her lips at the memory. Yunjin hesitantly leant over, pulling you into her arms with a grunt as she carried you bridal style towards your room. You instantly clung to the fabric of her loose hoodie, snuggling into her chest as you mumbled sleepily. She chuckled to herself at the sight, kicking your door ajar as she entered your room.
Yunjin gently placed you in your bed, pulling the covers up with a soft smile. Stepping back with a proud look reflecting in her eye, she stopped to admire you in your peaceful state. It wasn’t often she got to see you without a frown threatening to break out on your face lately, so this was a welcome change. She missed the days you would share your burdens with her, when she could hold you when you were upset, she missed everything about you. Unable to stop herself, she found her hand acting with a mind of its own as she reached out to carefully brush a stray strand of hair from your face. She paused, lingering before you began to stir, face twisting into an expression of discomfort as you groaned.
Startled, she pulled her hand back, whines leaving your lips as you began to toss and turn before settling. Releasing a sigh of relief, Yunjin turned on her heel, stepping away from you. A squeal left her parted lips as a soft grip on her hand tugged her backwards, stumbling to your side. She squinted in the darkness of your room, catching a glimpse of your wide eyes blinking away the sleep. Her eyes darted between where your hand gently grasped hers and your panicked expression. “Stay,” you muttered into the silence, voice shaking as your eyes filled with vulnerability. Yunjin’s eyebrows furrowed in worry at the way your fingers trembled around her wrist, eyes glued to her as if she could disappear at any moment.
Yunjin nodded wordlessly, sucking her lip between her teeth as you scooted over, lifting the covers up to offer her a place by your side. Inhaling sharply, she slipped under the covers, laying down beside you as she stared up at the ceiling in contemplation. She could feel your eyes on her, resulting in the familiar sensation of her heart beating harshly against her ribs. The faint brush of your fingertips against her own had her head tilting to the side, gaze meeting your own. “Sorry,” you mumbled, retracting your hand with a frown as you turned away from her. Gnawing on the inside of her cheek, she tentatively wrapped an arm around your torso. She heaved a sigh of relief as you relaxed in her hold, shifting backwards as you pushed yourself impossibly closer to her.
You allowed her warmth to embrace you, reaching for her hand that rested comfortably at your stomach and threading your fingers together. She grinned hopefully at the action, snuggling further into the back of your neck. “I’m scared,” you whispered fearfully, Yunjin’s forehead creasing in a frown as the words slipped past your lips. Your grip on her hand tightened significantly, grasping onto her as if she would leave at any moment. Her eyes widened slightly at the realisation, squeezing your hand in assurance. “It’s okay, I’m here,” she spoke, her warm breath tickling your skin, goosebumps rising in her wake. “I’m not going anywhere,” she promised, feeling you calm in her arms. Your breathing began to even out as you slipped back into a peaceful slumber, Yunjin sighing contentedly as she followed closely after.
~~
Yunjin awoke to sunlight streaming through the gap in the curtain, blinking her eyes as she squinted to adjust to the brightness. Your soft breath tickled the skin of her neck where your head was nuzzled comfortably, your fingers curled around the soft fabric of her hoodie. Her arm was wrapped securely around your waist, your leg draped loosely over hers as you slept soundlessly. Shuffling carefully, she gently removed your head from her chest, placing it on the soft pillow as she shifted to face you. With her free hand, she reached up to comb her fingers through your tousled hair, a soft smile tugging at the corners of her mouth as you unconsciously leaned into her touch. She allowed her hands to travel to your face, caressing every feature with the pad of her thumb as you began to stir.
A groan slipped past your lips as you woke up, blindly snuggling further into the warmth that greeted you. “Good morning,” Yunjin’s raspy voice met your ears, eyes snapping open as you gazed at her in shock before realisation crossed your face. “Morning,” you mumbled back shyly, painfully aware of the way her bare legs were tangled with yours, warm smooth skin pressed firmly against yours. “About last night..” she trailed off, attempting to meet your avoidant gaze. You shuffled uncomfortably, turning to face the blank ceiling. “Can we not do this now?” You pleaded, but Yunjin shook her head firmly in refusal, gaze hardening as she sat up abruptly. “No. You don’t get to do that,” she said, tone laced with frustration as she stared down at you with narrowed eyes. “You can’t just let me in whenever it suits you best and then push me away again,” she said, leaving no room for discussion. “I love you, Y/n, but I can’t do that to myself, it hurts too much,” she frowned deeply.
Sighing, you raised yourself to sit in front of her, grasping both of her shoulders firmly. “That’s not what I meant, I just wanted to enjoy this for a little longer.” You pushed her back down on the bed by her shoulders, planting yourself atop her, your face pressed to the crook of her neck. Yunjin blinked in surprise, confusion evident on her face, but she unconsciously moved to wrap her arms around your waist. “I missed you,” you muttered, breath tickling the skin of her neck once more, sending a chill down her spine. “I promise I won’t push you away ever again,” you mumbled, nuzzling your nose against her neck. “I was just scared,” you admitted, Yunjin listening silently as she waited patiently for you to continue.
“I thought that if I let you in that you’d leave me again,” you spoke with a frown plastered on your face. “But it turns out that being away from you hurts more after all. So I’d rather love you and lose you than lose without ever loving you again,” you confessed, raising your head to gaze into her eyes. “You won’t lose me, I’m never leaving you again,” she promised with a hopeful smile, caressing your cheek with the pad of her thumb. You nodded, returning her smile with one of your own, her face suddenly brightening significantly. “You really still love me?” She asked with a stupidly wide grin, a chuckle escaping your lips at the question. “How could I not? I don’t think I ever stopped loving you, Huh Yunjin.” You admitted with a sheepish smile, her eyes sparkling with joy at the confession.
“There’s something I’ve been wanting to do since the second I saw you again,” Yunjin grinned, a smirk tugging at her lips. You raised an inquisitive brow, eyes dancing with curiosity as she gazed at you like you were the only thing that mattered in the world. Without wasting another second, she surged forwards, connecting your lips in a sweet kiss. Your eyes fluttered shut in content as you kissed her back with just as much passion, conveying a thousand unsaid words between you. Pulling back to catch your breath, Yunjin chased your lips with an eager grin, hands looping behind your neck as she pulled you back in for another kiss. You smiled against her lips, basking in the moment you’d been longing for ever since you’d initially parted ways. “I missed you too and I love you so much,” she muttered against your lips, uncaring of her newfound addiction to your soft pink lips.
“I’m glad that you two made up an all, but shouldn’t you at least shut the door,” Eunchae’s voice startled the two of you apart. Her face was morphed into a look of disgust, horror evident on her features. You groaned in embarrassment, falling limp on top of a chuckling Yunjin who wordlessly shooed the youngest away with a wave of her hand. “Chaewon unnie is gonna scold us,” you whined into her chest, feeling her body shudder with laughter. “Don’t laugh, she’s scary when it comes to her children,” your eyes reflected a look of terror as you playfully smacked her in warning. Yunjin only grinned, pressing a chaste kiss to your lips before she rolled out of bed, making her escape. “Tell her I’m not here!” She shouted over her shoulder, running out of the room. “Get back here!!” You yelled after her, sprinting down the halls, hot on her tail.

There's something quintessentially very sibling-ish in Dib's ability to simultaneously maintain his perception of Gaz as a walking personification of nightmare capable of turning his life into a living hell AND as the helpless little sister he needs to protect

Takara, Rei, Hitomi
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Takara : I think Takara would be the Type of yandere who would pretend like she doesn't know you, but deep down harvest a deep lust and affection for you. She may not show it in public, But when she's home alone she would definitely have a picture of you, and maybe some of your personal items like your clothes, pants, and maybe even your underwear. I think Takara is the type of yandere who would do anything in secret, But this doesn't mean that she won't be pissed when other girls are trying to hit on you. Oh boy, if she saw a girl getting close to you. Takara would not hesitate to track that girl down, and show her business.
Rei : I think Rei would be the type of yandere who is very introverted. She would be acting shy and doesn't really have a lot of friends at school. But when night came, She suddenly turned into another person. She would dress openly and would show another side of her that nobody knows, And that is Her alter ego. When she meets you, Something deep inside her snap. She began to show lust and affection towards you, and she would do anything to make sure that affection would reach you.
Hitomi : I think Hitomi to me is the type of yandere who would be very cheerful and very optimistic when in public, she would be very easygoing and would have a lot of friends because of this. But when all of her friends are gone, she would snap showing a complete 180 of her usual cheerful figure. Her eyes that were once full of life and joy, would soon only show darkness and emptiness. When she laid her eyes on youyou however, She would immediately grew fond of you, She would often approach you in public, and when that didn't work. She would take a drastic measure by kidnapping you and making you dissapear.
Alright Guys This is of course in my personal opinion... But I'm also thankful that a lot of you guys are actually interested in this yandere craziness that I'm currently doing... Thank you once again and sending much love guys..

6 months pregnant
You were laughing along with Morgan and Holly as Tee told a story about his bar experience from a couple nights ago. As you were attentive to the story Tee was telling about a fan encounter, Joe was dealing with his own fan encounter...
"Excuse me." An unfamiliar feminine raspy voice spoke from beside you. You glanced in the direction of the voice, eyebrows furrowing as you looked at the source of this new voice. A tall woman with wavy copper red hair, bleach blonde highlights and blue doe eyes approached Joe with a soft smile on her plump red lips. You figured it was just a fan so you turned your attention back to the group you were conversing with before.
Joe turned his head to the left to look at the woman who looked to be in her early twenties. A half smile half smirk pulled at his lips as he looked at her.
"Hi Joe," she said, flashing him her best smile, "I don't know if you remember me, it's Izzy."
"Yeah I remember, we talked on the phone last week about the..." Joe glanced over in your direction, careful not to say his next words too loudly, "uh arrangement."
Your head perked up at a few of the words you picked up through your left ear: Izzy and arrangement.
Who's Izzy and what is this arrangement?
You eyed the two carefully, half listening to the conversation you were having with your friends and half listening to Joe's interaction. Izzy smiled as she placed a hand on Joe's shoulder, her infectious laughter filling your ear. You turned to look at the interaction your boyfriend and this Izzy girl were having. You couldn't help but feel a little jealous at the hand placement and the smiles on their faces as they spoke.
It almost seemed like they had some sort of history together...
"You never called me back." Izzy said, voice laced with slight disappointment as she spoke, "I get you're busy but, I need to know if this will work Joe."
Joe nodded in response, "I know and we will, but," he glanced around the table full of his teammates and friends before bringing his face closer to Izzy's, "Can we talk about this later? I don't want Y/n to know."
You felt your heart drop to your stomach at the mention of your name. The conversation you were having was now long forgotten as you gave your full attention to Joe. You turned towards him, folding your arms over your chest and letting them rest on your belly as you looked at him.
The red head, Izzy, made eye contact with you as she spoke, "Sure sweetie. Don't forget to send me the details." Joe nodded at her words as he spoke, "I'll send them to you tonight so you'll be prepared. Thanks Iz."
Prepared for what? You didn't know exactly, but you'd make it your mission to find out and get to the bottom of it. Izzy smiled at you, saying a soft hello and congratulations before she sauntered away from the table. Your lips parted as you just watched her walk away from Joe like nothing happened. Your thoughts were running wild, all of them going to the worst possible case scenario. There was no reasoning with yourself on this one.
Joe was cheating on you. He had to be.
You looked at Joe with an expression full of hurt and confusion. How could he do this to you? How could he do this to your little family? You just got back on good terms with Sam and now you have to deal with this.
"Joe?" You squeaked out softly, making your boyfriend turn around to look at you. His face filled with worry as he looked at you. Joe took in your hurt expression, teary eyes, and flushed cheeks. You looked like you'd just seen a ghost and were about .2 seconds away from a breakdown.
"Y/n," he said softly, tone growing worried, "what's wrong?"
You were fine just a few minutes ago. You were upbeat, happy, laughing with Tee and seeming to enjoy the team dinner. Right now, your whole demeanor took a full 180. Joe figured it was just the hormones making you feel this way, after all you have been having some mood swings lately.
You scoffed at your boyfriends obliviousness, "What's wrong?" You shook your head, "You're seriously asking me what's wrong?"
It's definitely not mood swings.
Joe parted his lips as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Y/n, baby I don't know what's going on but-."
"Was I not enough for you?" You asked, voice full of hurt. You placed your hands on your bump as you looked directly into Joe's confused blues, "Were we not enough for you?"
"I-" Joe stuttered, "I don't know what you're talking about? Of course you are. Both of you are."
You wiped a tear away as you sniffled softly, trying to compose yourself and not make a scene in the restaurant. You were feeling so many different emotions and it was a matter of time before they all came pouring out.
"Then who the hell is Izzy? What kind of arrangement do you have with her Joe, hmm?" Joe's face fell at your words. Now he looked like one that had just seen a ghost. "Y/n, you weren't supposed to hear that."
"Yeah I figured." You said, voice cracking with emotion as you tried to sound bitter. Joe's Adams apple bobbed as he gulped. His mind was going crazy with thoughts on he was going to explain this to you. He knows what it looks like to you.
"Was I ever going to find out or were you going to keep sneaking around behind my back?"
The hurt in your voice and the distraught look on your face had Joe's heart breaking. He stayed silent. He couldn't find the right words to explain himself, at least not in the middle of team dinner. You shook your head in disbelief at his silence. You stood up from the table and gathered your things. You walked away from the group, leaving a few of your friends and Joe's teammates stunned as they saw the tears rolling down your cheeks. That's all the confirmation you needed.
You choked out a sob as you jogged out of the restaurant, ignoring the looks from the concerned hostess and couple waiting tone seated. You pushed open the doors of the restaurant and stood by the entrance, chest heaving as tears rolled uncontrollably down your cheeks. You knew you looked crazy, insane even. But you had no control over your emotions right now--none at all.
You were feeling absolutely gutted. You were certain that Joe was cheating on you. Why else would some random, hot, model like twenty something year old approach Joe about a certain arrangement in public? He had to be cheating.
Your chest heaved up and down as you choked out painful sobs. The tears poured down your cheeks as cried into your hands. Each time your thoughts wandered to Joe your sobs grew harsher, almost to the point where you felt sick.
This almost hurt worse than the drama with Sam.
As you continued to cry and let out all of your emotions, you started to feel sick. Extremely sick to your stomach. The sudden wave of nausea crept up your throat and your mouth filled with saliva. Before you knew it, you were hunched over and throwing up all the content of your stomach. You grabbed your hair pulling it back as your chest heaved. Suddenly, you felt a hand on your back, rubbing soothing circles as they shushed you softly. The touch was so gentle, almost like if it was any harder it would shatter you into a thousand pieces. You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand, letting out a soft sniffle as you did so. You wiped your cheeks and turned to see whose hand was on your shoulder. Your heart dropped and you let out a pained cry as you saw who it was.
Joe.
"Don't touch me," you cried out, pulling away from his touch, "Please."
Joe pulled his hand back, a deep frown was on his face as he looked at you. You never pulled away from his touch no matter how upset you were with him. He must have really fucked up.
"Y/n," he said softly, "it's not what you think-."
"Then what is it, Joe." You seethed, turning around to face your boyfriend. You wiped the tears off your cheeks as you looked at him with a look full of sadness and a hint of disgust. "What could it possibly be if it's not what I think."
Your emotions were running wild. Pregnancy hormones really show no mercy.
Joe let out a sigh as he ran his hands down his face, "I," he hesitated, "I can't tell you."
You scoffed as more tears welled in your eyes. Why can't he say?
"If you're cheating on me, please tell me now." You looked into his eyes, a tear rolling down your cheek as you continued, "Because I don't want to find out through a gossip site that you got another girl pregnant. Was one not enough for you?"
Ouch. Joe couldn't deny it, that one hurt.
"Y/n," Joe pleaded as another sigh escaped his lips, "I'm not cheating on you." He said desperately, trying to reach out for you.
You shook your head, turning away from him once again. Your chest heaved as your sobs picked up again. Joe's heart broke as he watched the woman he loved more than anything in the world. The woman carrying his baby boy that he already loved more than life itself. Break down into shambles all because of him and some stupid surprise he was trying to plan for you.
"Sweetheart," Joe said softly, "please look at me." The crack in his voice made you reluctantly look at him again. Joe's blue eyes were watery as he looked at you wearing a guilty expression. Once you locked eyes with Joe, he continued speaking.
"I would never cheat on you. I would never do that to you or peanut. Ever."
The mention of your unborn baby's nickname made you place your hands on your six month baby bump. The little boy moved wildly inside of you, clearly sensing your emotional turmoil. You whispered a soft "I'm sorry" down to your protruding belly, knowing your son was probably starting to become just as distressed as you were. You sniffed a coupled times as you just listened to Joe's soft pleas for you to listen to him.
"Y/n please," he pleaded as a tear rolled down his cheek, "you have to believe me. You know I'd never do that to you."
You closed your eyes tightly at his words. You wanted to believe him, you really did. But something just seemed off to you. Yes he denied that he was cheating, but he wouldn't tell you what was actually going on. You shook your head at his pleading, more tears falling from your eyes as you looked at him again. Your heart broke at the sight in front of you. Joe looked absolutely distraught. Lost. Worried. Heartbroken.
"I guess we'll find out how true that is." You said, your eyes showing off every bit of emotion you were feeling. Joe furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he wiped away his tears, "What do you mean?"
"I mean I can't have this conversation right now Joe. I mean I don't know that I believe you."
Joe's breath hitched in the back of his throat at your words. Your confession absolutely gutted him. How could you believe he'd actually cheat on you? After everything you've been through, all you've done for each other, how could you even doubt your relationship?
"Y/n," Joe said softly, his voice wavering, "we have to talk about this."
You shook your head, sniffling as you spoke just above a whisper, "I can't. Not right now."
"Why not?"
"Because I can't have your parents think that everything is fine between us tomorrow when it's really not. We take about this here, right now, I don't think I'll make that trip." You explained, your voice wavering as you spoke.
Joe gulped as he watched you try to gather yourself before speaking again, "So I'd rather wait to have this conversation somewhere else because I don't think I can handle any more right now."
Between your raging hormones and your heightened emotions, anymore talk about the current situation was only going to make things worse and cloud your judgment even more.
You needed a few days.
Joe's heart dropped to the pit of his stomach at the mention of his parents. His parents. Joe totally forgot that the two of you were traveling to Athens tomorrow morning to stay with his family for a few days before heading to California for his off-season training.
How was he going to explain all of this and pretend everything was fine between the two of you to his parents?
"We can't have this talk at my parents." Joe said shaking his head, "I don't want them to know about this?"
"Why because it's true?" You seethed, snapping at Joe and making him step away from you. Joe shook his head at you. His jaw clenched as he gazed at you.
"There's just no reasoning with you is there?" Joe snapped, his tone matching yours. He continued to speak harshly, "You convince yourself shit is true so it must be true then, right? And that's not all. You refuse to hear anyone out, ever. That is why we get caught up in shit like this Y/n."
Tears welled up in your eyes again at Joe's words. You choked out a sob as you took his words to heart. Ouch.
"Fuck you, Joe." you said, voice cracking with emotion, "I'm done." You slowly started to back away from him as you spoke, "I'm going home with Emma and Sam. You can pick me up there tomorrow on your way through. I can't even look at you right now."
Joe scoffed at you as he shook his head. The air grew tense between you the longer you stood in each others presence.
"Fine by me." Was all he uttered to you. You shook your head in disbelief as the tears threatened to fall from your eyes once again. Both of your hearts were breaking from this conversation, but you knew spending the night away from each other was best.
What a complete disaster of a team dinner.

request: hi! Id love to request a scenario with chaewon from lesserafim x reader! Where chaewon became jealous when reader and yunjin is always together. So chaewon gives the reader the cold shoulder and yells at the reader. Reader tries to figure out why she’s being like that and does the most sweetest thing to make it up!
authors note: okay so lowkey my yunjin fic is rlly similar to this and i don't write repeats cuz they turn out shitty...so this is still jealous chaewon but with a bit of a different plot- i explained it badly but it'll make sense as you read, i hope.
warnings: jealousy, light angst

i~ when you and yunjin were friends first
your heart raced a mile a minute as you walked down the hallway alongside a nice female staff member. she was pointing out different rooms that you can use to practice as you passed by. you tried your best to remember what turns you took and rooms you passed so you didn't get lost later. the entire building felt like a maze but eventually the woman stopped at a room and told you nicely, "the other girls are here already. they're excited to meet you." even though her words were positive, a pit still formed in your stomach at the thought of meeting these girls.

the staff member opened the door and you followed in behind her shyly and immediately bowing and greeting the others. for only a brief second you internally fangirled seeing sakura and chaewon in person. both members having been from iz*one, a group you proudly stanned, made this entire thing slightly more nerve wracking. the other girls smiled at you behind their masks but one in particular caught your eye. her chocolate brown hair was faded, and her jet black roots were slightly noticeable in the two dutch braids she wore them in. for a moment your eyes met but immediately you looked away in embarrassment after being caught staring.
what you didn't notice was chaewon's gaze lingering on you, scanning you up and down repeatedly. she couldn't even see your full face but she knew from what she could that you were stunning. when you finally looked in her direction her heart thrummed against her chest, and her ears flushed pink beneath her mocha brown waves.
the girls went around and introduced themselves, and the same one you stared at earlier said, "hi my name is yunjin." she paused then added on in english, "or jennifer...oh and i'm fluent in english so if you need help with anything, i'm here." a weight lifted off of your chest at the last part, since you were still in the process of learning korean. you told her with a smile, "thank you. and if you don't mind me asking where are you from?" yunjin answered casually, "new york, why?"
a small gasp left your lips followed by a laugh as you asked, "wait- yunnie?" the brunette's eyes narrowed and you and she replied, "have we-" for a quick second you pulled your mask down and yunjin's face lit up, "Y/N?!" she tackled you in a full force hug that nearly knocked the wind from your chest.
your hand pressed against the back of her head, holding her close to you and you nearly cried, "oh my god i missed you so much." sakura asked curiously, "you two know each other?" yunjin pulled away from you and you tried to answer in broken korean, "we are old friends." the brunette added, "we were online friends for two years." the other girls overlapped in chatter about how endearing they found it, chaewon included.
for the remaining 18 months before debut, you and yunjin were inseparable. you did make sure to befriend all the other girls you trained with, but it was clear that yunjin was still your closest friend. it sounded selfish but chaewon held a small amount of resentment over this fact. but it manifested more in a twinge of jealousy when yunjin knew something about you that she didn't. she wished she was the one that met you first, the one that you were closest with instead of yunjin. but she wasn't so the best she could do was try to come remotely close to what yunjin was to you.
ii~ when you went to yunjin's bedroom instead of chaewon's
sleeping alone wasn't a new concept to you, in fact it was how you'd lived for years before moving to korea. however, once becoming a trainee and moving into the dorms, you had a roommate.
at first you thought there would be issues living with someone younger than you by nearly five years younger than you. however, it was like having a sleepover every night. there was a language barrier at first but that's when your phones came in handy the most. she was always keeping you up to date on slang that she used with her friends at school. in turn you always shared your secret stash of snacks and candies at all hours of the night when you two definitely should have been sleeping.
in a matter of weeks after your group's debut, the year and a half full of nights laced with laughter and sugar coated fingers were nothing but a distant memory. there was no longer the sound of crackling knuckles or soft snores on the other side of your room, no stuffed animals being chucked at you when you least expected it. the only thing remaining was the stuffed bunny on her bed she left for you so you wouldn't be alone. but you were and you absolutely hated it.
an exhausted sigh fell past your lips and you took the walk of shame to yunjin's room. you stopped in front of chaewon's on the way, but hesitated on entering. she had told you a week prior that the next time you couldn't sleep, just to come to her. but you told yousrself that she was just completing leader duties, and it wasn't to be taken literally. so you kept walking until you reached yunjin's room slipped into her bed rolled her over to make room for yourself.
she ended up rolling back over you, laying directly on top of you but you were to tired to try to shake her off. so you let her wrap herself around your body like a koala, it was hard to move and honestly breathe. but it was better than sleeping in an empty room again.
chaewon was the one to find you both in the morning when she realized yunjin wasn't awake yet. she opened the door then stopped, a twinge of annoyance and jealousy settling in her stomach as she stared at you holding yunjin's sleeping form in your arms. she could hear eunchae teasing her in the back of her mind saying, "you want that to be you so bad don't you, unnie?" chaewon rolled her eyes in annoyance and ripped the blankets from the both of you, "get up yunjin and y/n. we have to leave in 10 minutes, and you're not going to make is late again." the both of you groaned in unison as you opened your eyes and woke up. maybe it was the light in your half lidded gaze but you could have sworn you saw chaewon looking back at the two of you with a frown before she left.
iii~ when you and yunjin got to share a room during overseas promotions
chaewon waved her hand to get you and your member's attention long enough to pick rooms. in order to keep things fair, and to avoid hurt feelings, you all had a specific system, flipping a coin. honestly it was rather rudimentary but it worked. the idea was eunchae's after everyone realized you were a little too good a rock paper scissors and won every time.
you called heads while kazuha called tails. yunjin flipped the coin and it landed on heads, meaning you were to room with her. in the end, eunchae went with sakura, chaewon got a single, and you were with yunjin. normally the one with the single room was the most satisfied with the decision. with the exception of eunchae sometimes, as she didn't like sleeping alone outside of her dorm. however, chaewon wasn't happy that she was sleeping alone.
for weeks chaewon was looking forward to this trip after having been relatively closer with you than before. the leader was hoping that the universe would be on her side this evening and pair you two up. much to her disappointment she got the complete opposite of what she wanted. in most cases someone would just ask if they could switch, but seeing as she was the person who initiated the rule of coin flipping...she didn't want to contradict herself.
you noticed the disappointment on her face when she realized she was going to be in a room alone. but you thought it was because she wanted to room with sakura, not you. what you failed to notice was the way she glared at yunjin's arm snaked around your waist and your head on her shoulder.
chaewon wanted so desperately to be the one that you shared a bed with, the one that you held while sleeping, and the one she woke up to in the morning.
but no, it was yunjin.
it was always yunjin.
iv~ when you and yunjin's 'ship' is more popular among fans
the idea of shipping made your stomach churn in the worst way possible. so many celebrity 'ships' within groups ended in sabotaged friendships because fans took things a step too far. losing a precious relationship with any of your members as a result of hardcore shippers ran rampant in your mind. but at the moment that didn't need to be a thought in your head they seemed to remind you everyday.
if anything your members enjoyed that fans loved your relationships with one another. you and yunjin were currently the most popular pairing between the six of you which was to be expected honestly. the two of you had been friends since you were around 16 years old, and here nearly 6 years later you were still going strong.
most of the reason fans loved seeing you and yunjin together was because you knew one another beyond comprehension. fearnots were always saying you two were soulmates, two friends destined to meet. no matter what the situation was you and yunjin just seemed to have a mutual understanding of the other's thoughts and feelings without actually speaking.
you, yunjin, chaewon, and kazuha were sitting around a table while eunchae was asleep in another room with sakura. the four of you read the comments from the current live stream and talked back and forth. chaewon sat on your left while yunjin sat on your right with kazuha on your far left.
the younger japanese member laughed at a comment then said, "le sserafim love triangle + kazuha." yunjin snorted then threw her arm around your shoulder easily, "everyone knows y/n is my boo. y/n-jin forever." she whispered the last part then burst into laughter, the sleep deprivation evident from her case of giggles. you shook your head in amusement but looked up when you noticed chaewon snatching your hand into hers. just as she second guessed lacing her fingers into yours, and started pulling away, she felt your thumb graze over the top of her palm.
v~ when you finally talk to chaewon about it
tonight was yet another sleepless night. rather than retreating to yunjin's room you decided on the roof. it was far too cold for you to be outside in just flannel pajamas and crocs yet here you were. the thin hoodie you wore barely kept you warm, yet you'd rather be out here than inside. listening to the sounds of the city below, you stared up at the sky and imagined the stars. a starry night sky was the one thing you missed about living back home as the light pollution in seoul made it nearly impossible to see any stars.
the sound of the roof door opening caught your attention but you didn't react since you knew who it was already. chaewon stood over you and asked, "why are you still awake?" all you could give as a reply was a shrug while you sat up, "couldn't sleep." instead of leaving you to come back inside, chaewon sat on the roof beside you and looked up at the sky. she asked you with a raised brow, "so you decided sitting alone, outside in the freezing cold was a better idea?"
you scooted closer to her and said, "i'm not alone." when her face dropped and she looked around in a slight panic, a weak chuckle left your lips. you pulled the stuffed bunny from the spot where it was tucked between your legs and showed her, "i have River with me." chaewon let out a small, "ah" when she noticed the cream colored bunny in your hands.
an awkward silence fell over the two of you and it was times like now that you wished you actually knew chaewon like you knew yunjin. feeling self conscious in your leader's presence, you drew your knees you your chest. with shaky fingers you toyed with the navy blue satin ribbon that was tied around the stuffed bunny's neck. you told the older girl in a mumble, "you don't have to stay." chaewon hummed then answered, "i know, but i want to." once again you were silent, only this time contemplating on your next words.
you turned and looked at her then let out an unamused laugh, in english you said, "i really don't understand you chaewon." not even minding the lack of an honorific, chaewon asked, "what do you mean?"
you looked at the bunny in your hands and responded back in korean, "the way you treat me. i just don't understand it. whenever we're with the other girls it's like you don't really like me. but when we're alone you treat me like i'm precious to you. i don't know if i'm some pawn in your own twisted game of whatever you want to call it. but you need to decide on one side- hate me or don't. stop going back and forth on me."
chaewon was at a loss for words and you looked back up at her to see she was stunned to a silence. when she didn't reply you let out an annoyed huff and rested your head back on your knees, facing away from her. chaewon ran a hand through her jet black bob that was slightly more grown out than before. she pulled your shoulder so you could face her, "you are precious to me. i don't hate you at all, i never have."
you asked bluntly, "then why do you keep switching up on me?" chaewon's gaze flitted to her hands then pajama pants, "i-i...i..." you pleaded with her just above a whisper, "please unnie." she ran another hand through her hair before she confessed, "i don't like seeing you and yunjin like that."
all of your thoughts ran blank and you blurted out, "like what?" chaewon explained the best she could without cringing at herself, "the two of you are always with each other...and i guess i wished that was me in her place." you side eyed the wall beside you as you tried to piece together what she was insinuating. when you finally realized you asked, "so you're jealous of yunjin and my relationship?"
chaewon let her head fall to her knees and she whined, "don't say it like that...now i'm embarrassed." you spared no feelings as you plainly agreed, "yeah it is actually." chaewon looked back at you and you gave her a softer look now, "but you know i can be close to other girls without you having to worry if i still like being around you, right?" chaewon remained silent then finally said, "yeah, i know. i'm sorry for treating you that way. i let my feelings get the better of me and you didn't deserve that." you looked at her and a small smile tugged on the corner of your lips, "thank you unnie."
a chill ran up your spine and chaewon stood up with her hand out for you to hold, "lets go inside before we get sick." you laughed and followed her inside, "can i stay with you tonight?" chaewon responded immediately, "anything for you."

What exactly is your version on dib like? I mean, we all know that he’s a creep and a weirdo, but what’s his story? (Also I absolutely love your work, you’re super talented)
Tumblr media
SO glad you asked.
In all seriousness, I don't have any set story for him. He's just dib, but in his early 20s. The main difference between him and young dib (besides appearance obviously) is that he's had some emotional development. Keyword: some. People like to use the word maladjusted when talking about dib, and that does apply to my interpretation. He doesnt get out much, and he has some unhealthy behaviors (ahem obsession ahem) But he HAS emotionally matured since being a kid. He's a bit nicer, and he's gotten used to some of the mistreatment/bitterness, and shrugs it off with a smile.
As for a "story," I just like to imagine him in circumstances with the other characters, and ill focus on whatever I find funny or interesting. It's all for fun, I like to Doodle random plots in my head, but I'm not going to do or make anything with them. But here's where my thoughts tend to land most of the time:
He HAS moved out of his dad's place. I initially had him still at home, (because I still live at home, and I tend to project onto characters), but after giving it some thought, I realized that dib with his own place was maybe more believable. I don't think he'd want to be in his dad's shadow. This way he can do his parascience in peace and spread out. SO he lives in a downtown apartment. Gaz is his upstairs neighbor! (this way they still live together, but also not really. They kind of have roomate vibes. They see each other a lot) it is a very small apartment, the kind with a kitchen area, a bathroom, and one room for your living space/bed.
(Random idea I'm toying with that kind of doesn't make sense but also?? Whatever: SOMEHOW- dib built a secret basement under the apartment complex, and you access it by entering a code into the elevator buttons. It's his lab. DONT FUCKING ASK how he managed to DIG A BASEMENT - because I don't fucking know. But with how stupid people are in iz, I'm sure he figured out a way to be discreet or fool people??? Thats where hes got taks ship. He painted it blue)
Uhhhh what else...
I like to imagine 2 potential scenarios, and in both, zim had gone missing for a decade. In one, he comes back. In the other, dib sets out to find him. There is another part to that I'm gonna leave out, because I want to draw something and show you that way. Hopefully I'll draw that soon.
Ok, enough rambling now. If I have more thoughts to add on, maybe I'll reblog and add them.
But THANK YOU FOR THE ASK!!!! I was so pleasantly surprised to see this. I wasn't expecting to have an opportunity to ramble and I am super thankful, and honestly flattered that you'd be interested :')💞 (and thank you so much!! 🥺)

A lot of times the problem with these het ships is just, that there is an incredible lack of balance in it that almost feels toxic.
And i don't mean dark fiction or anything, i mean fiction that wants you to see them as a good couple.
Like in bnha, again. Iz///ocha has an inbalance over the fact that for it to go forward, it is completely reliant on Ochako, and whatever she decides to do with her feelings.
Which makes her the only one that ever puts the effort into her crush, even if it ends up not actually moving forward, she still the one who's ever confronted with them.
And Izuku never does anything to respond or even indicate that he feels the same. Frankly, if he was to suddendly show that he loves her, that would just make him look like an intruder. Or maybe even imply "now that everything's over, here's your prize, hero!"
I agree!!
While IzuOcha is a popular ship, it's also not compared to BakuDeku and even TogaOcha got some growth over it.
It's not because "het is ew" because I have crossed other shippers who are okay with IzuOcha and/or have other M/F ships they like (I myself like KiriMina).
It's because it is underdeveloped and one-sided.
Izuku reacts to Ochako the same way he has with every other girl. Any time there's crush talk, it's only from Ochako's side. Nothing from Izuku, at all. He compliments her, but it came off more like a bestie hyping you up after you say something self-deprecating than actual "Hey, I like you, let's go out".
To be honest, I don't even think Horikoshi intended for IzuOcha to be seen a ship for people to root for. I don't think he actually ever cares for it because if he really wanted to, he could have made it more balanced. I say this because look at M/F pairings like KiriMina and KamiJiro.
They're more minor than IzuOcha are and yet for both pairings there's a lot more balance between them. Even by design!
I talk more in depth about this here and here.
I totally agree with you on that last bit.
If Izuku suddenly goes "Hey, I love you" or even after winning there's suddenly them hooking up, it will come off as Ochako being some prize because, again, Izuku hadn't shown romantic interest in her like that.
It's funny to me that some people will "BakuDeku are like brothers" but then turn around and want to apply the same tropes and scenarios that BkDk have been through to their ship romantically.
Example, there were people who actually want AFO!Shigaraki to attack Ochako next just so Izuku could save her. This was during the time when everyone was brought in through those portals into the same area.
When I was so agitated about that because one, you really want someone to potentially get killed just for a "shippy" moment? I DIDN'T LIKE SHIGARAKI ATTACKING BAKUGOU LIKE THAT!! Two, so Ochako couldn't be dealing with her situation without any inference? Like she really need to be put in a damsel situation and not be a hero? Because that's how it came off to me.
Look, I myself have ships, but at the end of the day when it comes to the main goal of a lot of these characters?
The last thing any of them really want is romance. If no ship becomes canon I am so okay with that.
A lot of these characters, especially characters like Izuku, Ochako, and Katsuki want to be the best heroes they can be. They want to save people, make them smile, be the best. That was their goal when they chose (and got to) attend UA.
I don't recall Ochako saying "I'm attending UA to get a boyfriend!"
So why reduce her to that? She did not look at Izuku on their first meeting and decided "I'm going to UA to be his wife". I thought she wanted to be a hero so she can make people smile and provide for her parents. Am I wrong? Did I miss something? Did I watch and read a different version of BNHA?

ETF is very different from the series but i kinda enjoy it?
Like, the atmosphere of the setting is way less grim and macabre, and we even had some very aww emotional moments (because it's a film and films have a different episode structure). And well, i'm a sucker for happy endings, so it was nice to see Professor Membrane and Gaz have some touching moments with Dib. (i just wanna them to heal ok) (it's a start at least)
Basically i like to see the differences between the series and ETF as if they were the consequences of the timeskip.
Gaz very explicitly worrying about her brother's well being + Dib imposing himself on his father because both of them (Gaz and Dib) are more mature, the sky is more beautiful because idk maybe it's some invention the Professor made to help the Earth??
ETF gives me a hopeful, somehow healing and comforting atmosphere, and it feels nice
But then again, i'm a sucker for happy endings and healing
Now about the designs, i liked the colors in general, but it's my most vibrant and "happy" color style.
I really liked Dib's ghost shirt, since i study character design a lot, this says a lot about him. I just didn't like the red sneakers so in my re-imagined version i draw him with a black all star (i like to leave the goth boots for when he's older). And now he has more hair lol (i like to leave the undercut for when he's older too)
Gaz was the one with the biggest redesign, and just like Dib i liked her new shirt. But in my re-imagined version i mix her design from the series with ETF, i like to imagine her with a long-sleeved striped shirt underneath.
I don't have much to say about Professor Membrane's redesign, but i liked the small changes, he's not so skinny anymore and has more hair too
Also ETF gave me things i always wanted to happen:
- Alternative realities
- Professor Membrane being a good present father
- Touching moments between the Membrane family
- Zim discovering the mission was a lie
- Zim (almost) winning for real
- ANIME IZ!! (my 13-year-old self can rest in peace)
- The trial scenario
So yeah, i really like the movie, i had a lot of fun.
It's a great film to end the IZ franchise to me.

I just finished reading Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by Jhonen Vasquez. To be honest, I didn't really know what to expect going in- all I've ever heard about it was from people going "Can you believe Nickelodeon asked a guy who makes stuff like that to make a children's show!?" After reading it, I can say that it's definitely interesting in a way I don't think any basic plot description could've fully prepared me for, and I kind of want to dump my thoughts about it as I just come away from it.
As the title would suggest, its most noticeable surface-level feature is that there is a lot of gore. It gets about as brutal and graphic as it can with its cartoony art style- I was actually a little bothered by it a couple of times. There are a lot of things reminiscent of Invader ZIM beyond its art style- it shares a lot of the same humor, its randomness (often to the point of stupidity), and the chaotic nature of the story progression. (There are also two aliens that show up in a few pages that I'm pretty sure are the same aliens that appeared in the IZ episode Abducted, which would mean that ZIM and JTHM take place in the same universe...? Interesting.) In a lot of ways, it had the same energy as ZIM, but lacking the restraints of a children's network- admittedly, it was very fun and tickled the twelve-year-old ZIM fan part of my brain.
The story itself is a bit trippy and somewhat disjointed. There are lots of times where Johnny will go on long monologues about how he sees himself and the world (alongside blocks of text at the beginning and end of each issue from Jhonen himself). The actual story is cut up in-between little unrelated comics of various characters getting slaughtered and mutilated in some way, facing their inner turmoils and making other people miserable, or yelling incoherent word salads and then getting murdered. You are often left unsure as to whether some of the story's events were really happening or just Johnny dreaming or making things up. It also gets kind of cosmic horror-ish at one point, but that proceeds to end itself somewhat abruptly.
I haven't looked at any discussion of the comic and what it's *really* about yet, but my first impression coming out of it is that it's... a lot of things, really? It's a nihilistic black comedy, but I got the feeling that it was also somewhat of a vent story- A lot of JTHM is dark humor and absurd scenarios for the sake of societal criticism and expressing frustration with the world. It brings up a lot of ideas about what the "nature" of humanity is, if there is a caring God, the good and bad of living, and ultimately, what the true "evils" of society are and what causes them- all told through the eyes of a weird morally bankrupt loner that likes torturing and murdering people he doesn't like.
Most of the people that Johnny goes after are assholes and bullies, generally bad people, or anyone that just generally upsets or inconveniences him in day-to-day life. His arc throughout the story is discovering who and what "controls" him in his search for true freedom- and through that, he realizes that he, himself, is a massive contributor to why everything is so awful, eventually seeing people like himself as one of society's issues (but not really doing anything to change or control his behavior, which, to me, suggested he really never attained the "freedom" he desired so much). It was quite interesting to have a main character like that.
And, while I do not really know anything about Jhonen Vasquez as a person, a good amount of Johnny's traits struck me as... maybe a bit of a projection? A lot of the blocks of text from Vasquez at the start of issues will have him describe his thoughts and behaviors, and then in the story, Johnny displays a lot of those same thoughts and behaviors, like his hatred of sleep resulting in him regularly staying up the entire night and his tendency to experience loneliness and sadness (though, of course, these blocks of text might also be Jhonen simply putting up a persona as well.) Still, though, I wouldn't be too surprised if a lot of things about Johnny were in fact an exaggerated depiction of the author's own perceived negative traits and turned into an edgy serial killer character (especially since I know that this is indeed the case for a lot of Vasquez's characters, like ZIM in his inability to realize when his ideas won't work and Dib in his undying need to prove himself above all else in IZ.)
JTHM was one of the most unique things I've read in a while- it's one of those stories that sticks in your brain and leaves an uneasy feeling in you when you come away from it, but it definitely has a lot of substance to it beyond the "edgelord serial killer gorefest" surface-level appearance. It doesn't give you any moments of comfort in its overt negativity, but I think it manages to come out as something meaningful beyond just a nihilist "everything is awful and there's nothing you can do about it" message. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you're up for it, I'd really recommend giving it a shot.
