So I've mentioned on my Instagram but I'll say it here too: I went and keep going on breaks because I was unsure about my living situation. I still am... BUT my family really needs money still 😰 So I thought to try a smaller approach to my preorder system. Keeping it open for a wek at a time I get less orders and have to order less from the keychain maker co. I'll probably be ordering extras along with what people order, so I'll keep making sales after. It'll probably still take a month to process 😵‍💫 but having a stock will be beneficial for the future and I don't thiiiink I'll be living somewhere else in a month 😬. I hope that makes sense.

Anyways, my preorder keychains will go away again tomorrow. Get them while you can!

Ok, so I know I mentioned how I won’t acknowledge BkDk Stans, but this one’s a special case. Reason being is that this specific person has a large audience and I felt that I’d outta warn you in case you decide to wanna interact with the MHA audience on Twitter, cause chances are you’ll encounter them. I’ve bought them up before, so the name Dekacchan might ring a bell. I had this old post saved in the drafts cause I wasn’t sure that I really wanted to actually post it, but this woman has some serious issues. This doesn’t mean you get to go to her Twitter and harass her, cause I don’t condone that shit, but let this post serve as a general outline for who Dekacchan is.

Bro, even the BkDks are shitting on Dekkachan 😂. This lady comes around championing the Japanese fandom of “being the most understanding of BkDk and it being canon”, but when confronted by a famous Japanese fujoshi who has more knowledge on the subject than she does, she continues to spit out these conspiracy theories 😭. Lady, give it a rest already.

As far as I can tell, this is her life:

-Be Dekkachan.

-Be 27 years old.

-Have a partner and a job where she teaches kids.

-Think of BkDk 24/7

-Partner and job are second to BkDk.

-Argue with children over which set of scribbles gets with which set of scribbles.

-Bully said children for not liking BkDk.

-Ignore that Izuku and Katsuki, the focus of the obsession, are minors.

-Retweet BkDk fan-art that is suggestive such as m!preg and acts of sex. Again, they are minors.

-Have friends who are proshippers and post NSFW pics of minors while being the same age as her.

-Fail to cringe at being terminally online and being more than obsessed with a fictional ship about two kids.

-Claim to be an intellectual but can’t even see that her ship isn’t canon DESPITE how obvious it is that the canon ship is IzuOcha. Even IzuOcha haters, fellow BkDks, and shippers of all kinds recognize this basic fact.

-Manipulate and cultivate an audience made up of presumably mainly teenagers to silence anyone who disagrees, no matter how logical their arguments are or no matter how respectful they are.

-Will actively seek out other people’s posts about their thoughts on MHA, and proceed to expose them to the hive-mind even if they posted away from the BkDk spaces.

-Alienate the majority of the BkDk community who is disgusted by such behavior, some even losing their love for something they were passionate of. Proceed to target and harass such “traitors”.

-Whole identity revolves around being a conspiracy theorist, a bully, a toxic shipper, and one of the biggest hypocrites on earth. Wears this as a badge of honor.

-Play victim whenever confronted and say “if you don’t like me, then block” despite the one initiating conflict.

Honestly a really sad life. Like yeah, I have this blog and whatnot, but I don’t go around harassing people who disagree with me, I’m not terminally online (only being online when I’ve got nothing better to do), and I can tell the difference between canon and my imagination. Dekkachan is something else and I’m honestly worried about how she’s going to react once IzuOcha actually becomes canon. Even other BkDk fans hate her 💀.

What do you mean when you said it feels manipulative regarding togachako? Honestly i can't get into ship either and i think hori is just trying to use this ship as a bait to make izuocha canon.

I mean that I feel like it goes very HAM with the romantic / sexual insinuations and imagery, but puts no serious effort into depicting a real “relationship” development, so it rings hollow to me.

And because of this, it feels to me less like proper queer representation and more like how straight men have used “lesbian scenes” as material for their sexual fantasies, just mashing attractive girls together.

So it gets the hype for queer ship and Hori keeps adding to it because it’s spicy and will get attention.

He’s done the same with other female characters who have barely or not at all interacted with each other btw:

Admittedly, I am on the Demi / ace spectrum, so I’m probably having a different viewing experience than other people.

But I also noticed that this is something he only does with his female characters. His male characters, even in sketches that are fan service or can be interpreted as having a romantic undertone, always keep a distance or touch each other in platonic / friendly ways

So once again, female characters are these eye-candy with very shallow inner worlds who wrap their thighs against each other and rub their asses together with very superficial dialogue or even no interaction. while male characters get deeper emotional work, more complex relationship development and more emotional, less sexual art (on average).

As for IzuOcha still being endgame - I honestly don’t care. I think it would be better for the story just to leave things alone, but it would also be odd not to have some closure on the love confession.

In any case, these chapters to me didn’t feel like the truly “developed” Izuocha. We are at the same place as we were in the Midterms, when Ochako’s crush became her main plot point. Her “confessing” it to Toga doesn’t really change anything in her and Deku’s relationship.

I think Ochako’s inner world / development re Toga and Deku have not been properly progressed throughout the story and these chapters did more to cover up lack of content with pretty art. Toga at least got more character work on her part.

About my previous ask regards Izu shipping. I have to ask....why Ochako is the love interest?

Also I do know Ochako said in the Sports arc to Izu "you won't fight quirkless right?" Smth no fan of hers want to admit (why ? No idea...)

But where it comes from the "plain" comment?

Also....The love interest could easily be anyone else. Mei or Melissa (...Shig!) And things would be better. Like, what Ochako brings for Izu?

"oh she is poor" and I say...no, she isn't. Let me explain: she says she is poor/ had financial struggles but what are those? Her uniform looks hella expensive, and while fics try to explore this in many ways (some are so distasteful "Ochako is so poor, she can't eat...she has eating disorders" which gross and really wrong ...if she was that poor she would be desperate for money.) I think her poverty is an aesthetic to lazy highlight her at first....and then Hori drop the ball.

I think Izu is the poor one and would be interesting to see Izu having to sell his merch (maybe he did got full time jobs or smth or hell, maybe he does art online and the commission pays for the merch) for pay for tuition and food and stuff since no one else could do this ever.

To conclude: What Ochako brings for Izu? And aside her comments, she looks pissed seeing her love interest... Shig?😏he looks happy to see Izu (Mei and Izu work so well together. She touches his BURNED sketchbook... Ochako doesn't even know r school he went)

IzuOcha started started strong with the foundation of being each others first friends at U.A but as you mentioned Hori messes this up...

Ocha could have done with so much more development (both in general as a character in her own right and to explain why she is a good fit for Izu.) The poverty aspect of Ocha and the not eating seems like a distasteful way to show poverty by the fans but Hori doesn't do much better at showing her poverty himself. He drops the ball at developing her especially with this aspect - due to all the focus being given to Bakugou instead of her.

IzuOcha could have used many more sweet moments, deep moments where they bond and confide in each other (yet Izu gets more moments like this with his friends like Todoroki- and Izuku unfortunately isn't allowed by Hori to confide back.) And Izu seems to have more common ground with people like Mei who doesn't appear creeped out when he mumbles and they seem fond of each other.

Meanwhile Ocha, calls Izu plain (now suddenly finds him attractive despite his looks not changing that much), gets creeped out when he mumbles (which would hurt considering she's his first friend and Izu was bullied previously) and to add on top doubts his capability when he fights quirkless (which is ironic considering she then goes to train under Gunhead - it implies she changed her mind on this yet that could have been done being communicated if that's the case. So why wasn't it?)

To add on top of this; she, like all of 1A, went along with the Class 1A vs Izuku fiasco led by Bakugou, and canonically calls him nothing other than "Deku" when she (like Iida) could have insisted on calling him Midoriya when she learnt of the truth of the backstory of the name - both of these things also hurt the IzuOcha ship.

TLDR: The problem with IzuOcha and Ocha is a lack of development, along with Izuku not being allowed to confide in anyone - all of which can be blamed on Hori's overfocus on Baku and wish for him to be seen positively.

It's really quite concerning that so mha fans want ochako and toga to get together don't give me you hate the ship becauseit's (wlw) no idiot I hate togachako because it's abusive toga has tried to kill ochako many times has harrased her has taken her blood and used it to kill people

And I've some fans try to suggest that there's a different between togachako and dabihawks and that one is toxic while the other isn't in both cases one of the character have tired to kill the other both ships are toxic
