Bat Family 'Bruce is Tim's biological parent' AU Idea #1

Wherein Jack Drake: a) Regularly tags along on archaeological digs despite not being an archaeologist. b) Commonly smuggles home archaeological finds despite that not being legal. c) Does not believe in curses, hauntings, or any mythology despite the world that he lives in being populated with *gestures at comics* all that.

As a result, Jack is like a magnet for cursed objects and keeps smuggling the damned things home.

The first time little Timmy suspects this is happening, he knows his dad won't respond well to him suggesting the most recent package he sent home is haunted. He knows he'll respond even worse if he tries to get anyone else involved. So he sends his mom a private email explaining what's going on. Janet replies that he's right to be suspicious, that this has absolutely happened before, and that he was right to contact her. She tells him she's sending over a friend who can help and gives him a password that she'll tell the friend so he knows it's okay to let him in the house.

John Constantine shows up within the hour. Tim is certain he didn't drive there (the alert that someone passed through the gates never went off and no one put in a code to open them) but there is a cursed object in his house and John knew the password Janet gave him, so he's mostly just happy to have an adult there to handle the situation. Even if a somewhat bizarre adult.

John takes care of the cursed object and is impressed that Tim reacted to it much faster than most do. He gives Tim his card with instructions to call him if anything like what was happening starts to happen again or if anything else weird starts happening after his father has been to any digs or sent home any strange packages.

As Jack is the aforementioned cursed object magnet, Tim ends up calling John fairly often for someone who doesn't actively work with the occult and is, in fact, a child. John keeps praising him for catching on as quick as he does and giving him information to catch onto other types of mystical/magical wickedness. Tim gets really good at recognizing when magic/curses/spirits are at play.

Then, Janet dies and Jack goes into a coma. Tim is fostered by Bruce for a year and a half and doesn't have to worry about curses or haunted objects for all that time. When they do come across something of the occult, Bruce/Batman has his own contacts, so there was never a reason for Tim to bring any of it up.

Then, the events of Identity Crisis/Crisis of Conscience occur, and Bruce doesn't want to talk to Zatanna (his usual mystic go-to) if it can be helped. He doesn't want to call in anyone connected to most of the Justice League if it can be helped.

So when they come across a cursed object, Tim immediately identifies it and tells Bruce not to worry, he knows a guy who can handle it. The man knows his civilian identity, so they'll have to pretend Bruce bought the object as part of an action or estate sale lot.

John comes and handles it. Before he leaves he comments that he's glad Tim's biological father finally decided to step up and that Bruce better take good care of the boy.

When Tim explains that Bruce isn't his father, the look on John's face clearly shows that he's trying to figure out how to back-step, but not in the expected way. More in the 'I let on information i wasn't supposed to' way.

Which is how Bruce and Tim end up running a paternity test in the Cave at four am.

Alfred and Dick are delighted by the results.

[Alternative ending: John pulls Bruce aside to let him know that Janet told him Jack wasn't Tim's father and that both he and Bruce were on the short list and he hadn't known Jack died or he'd have contacted him already. They have to wait to find out which of them is the lucky one. Either Bruce turns out to be the father and John just lets Tim know he can still call him whenever needed or it turns out John is the father and they decide Tim should still stay with Bruce but John has visitations. Also, Tim might have been showing signs of his Homo Magi heritage when he recognized all these cursed objects. John insists of teaching him to use his magic despite Bruce's unease with it.]

Hotch parked his car outside his apartment and looked at his passenger sit where Y/N was fast asleep, he smiled a little looking at her then slowly woke her. Hotch gave her a small smile and said "Its ok, we all are feeling tired anyway, now come on Jessica must be waiting for us", and they both made their way inside.

Hotch rang the doorbell when Y/N asked "waiting for us, did Jessica knew I was coming with you?". He looked towards her and said "yeah I told her I will bring you with me", "so you already knew I was gonna say yes and come with you, hmm" said Y/N in a teasing way. Hotch gave her a sly smile and said "well a guy can only hope" and both laughed when the front door opened and Jessica spoke out "well lovebirds if you guys are done flirting, our little Jack is waiting to meet you both, so please do the honors come inside" and teasingly raised her brows at them.

Y/N cheeks turned red hearing her and she shyly looked up at Hotch who have the same reaction as her. They both go inside and Y/N was about ask bout Jack when he came running down from upstairs and collied into her, swinging his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly.

Y/N looked down at him and gave him a broad smile and said "Hello my sweet boy, I missed you so much". Jack hugged her and said "I missed too Y/N, so so much". Hotch looked at the scene fondly and said "well its look like no one missed me?", hearing his voice Jack broke his hug from Y/N and ran to his dad. Hotch picked him up and hugged him tightly, closing his eyes, feeling relieved. He opened his eyes and looked at Y/N, seeing the expression she had on her face looking at them, he felt his heart racing.

He put jack down and Jack walked up to Y/N, she picked him up and sat down on the couch and said "so how have you been sweetheart, share everything with me, I'm excited to hear bout you" and gave him a sweet smile.

Smiling excitedly Jack started telling her bout his days when they were away and Y/N listened to him, looking at him with a very fond and motherly smile. Hotch has been looking at them with a small smile and his eyes has a little tears, he hadn't seen Jack that energetic since his wife death but maybe everything is changing, its maybe a good thing but he's still scared. Jessica turned her head to look at Hotch and having a sad smile on her face, she said "I know its hard for you to move on, it has been for everyone but for you it is much harder than us but Aaron, know that Haley would have wanted you to move on and have a happy life for yourself".

Hotch broke his eyes from Y/N and Jack and looked at Jessica and said "I know but its not easy Jess, It will never be, I never thought I have to live without Haley, we were supposed to spent our lives together but she's not here anymore and I'm scared that if I fall in love again, if I let anyone in they might also leave me and Jack and I don't think I can survive that second time" and gave her a sad look.

Jessica shook her head and said "I know Aaron, I know how hard it is to fall in love again but look at me I found love again right but I choose to give love a second chance but you are not doing that Aaron you are trying to run away from it and its not right. Look at them Aaron, do you think you will ever find someone like Haley who had given Jack so much love like Y/N do now, do you think you will find someone who will take care him like she do, never Aaron and do you know why, because not everyone can accept someone else child as their own but look at Y/N she's been with us for a year but she has changed everything and for better. Jack has been smiling more than before just how he was when Haley was alive, he's been so energetic and cheerful and most importantly happy, he's very happy right now".

She let out a sigh and said "Aaron I know it will be difficult for you to love someone again but letting her go will be a big mistake, a mistake that you will regret forever if you don't grab her tightly, give it a chance Aaron, believe in love again because I can guarantee you that the love Y/N has for you and Jack, no one will have that much love for you both".

Aaron didn't said anything and let Jessica words sink into him, he knows Y/N has became the greatest thing in their lives after Haley's death. she had given Jack so much love and care that he had almost forgotten bout his mother death, Jack doesn't seem sad anymore but can he let himself fall for Y/N, maybe he should let himself fall for her maybe that will bring more happiness than now, he just shook his head and turned towards Y/N and melted right way.

There sat Y/N with Jack on her arms, he was fast asleep on her lap with his head on her chest and she was humming some song for him. Y/N looked towards Hotch and Jessica and gave them both a small smile and whispered "we should bring him to bed so he can sleep better" and looked down at Jack making sure he was still asleep. Jessica smiled and said "see, she loves him just like Haley maybe even more than her". hearing Jessica, Hotch couldn't help but smiled at Y/N fondly and goes towards her, picked Jack up and goes upstairs to Jack's room.

He puts Jack onto the bed and tugged him in when Y/N worked inside the room and said "he look so cute and adorable when he's asleep, don't you think so" and looked at Hotch when she realized he was already looking at her. she felt her cheeks blush and looked away when Hotch came close to her and gently pulled her chin to face him and said "You are the greatest thing that happened to us Y/N and we can never lose you, Thank you for giving us so much love and care when we were so broken". Y/N folded their hands together and looked in his eyes gently and said "you were never broken Hotch neither was Jack, you guys were just hurt but you both had each other and nothing else matter. Never thing of yourself as broken Hotch, you were never broken" and kissed the back of his hand softly.

They both just gave each other a small smile and turned their attention to the little boy who was fast asleep, feeling saved and home.

My Top 5 Bleach Filler Characters, Appropos of Nothing

5. Inaba Kagerouza, Reigai Arc

Inaba is, simply put, the pinnacle of Soul Society worldbuilding. He's got this long dramatic backstory and a bunch of rage bottled up in his chest, but also a guy needs a paycheck, so he's just been doing the R&D grind for a hundred years. He knows a shit-ton about the Dangai, which is relevant to his evil scheme, but it's also just his day job (also the Dangai owns, I want a PhD in "the Dangai"). No one else in Squad 12 seems to have the least bit of beef with him, even after he builds an evil duplicate of every person in the Gotei. Unlike a lot of mad scientist characters, he's good with his weapon. Maybe he's weirdly jacked under his villainous smock?? Also, his evil scheme was generally well thought out, and took into account the fact that the Gotei is a bunch of buffoons. ngl, I kinda wish his plan had succeeded, if only for the fact that it would probably really piss Aizen off.

4. Ran'Tao, Bount Arc

Everything about Ran'Tao owns, including:

Sexy glasses

Condemned so hard by the Central 46 that they gave her a kidou seal back tattoo

KIDOU. SHOTGUN.

Stabbed Kariya in the gut

Noped out at the end of the arc because Who Needs the Gotei's Shit?

3. Kuchiki Kouga, Zanpakutou Rebellion Arc I think that when you hear the story about how Byakuya was forbidden from marrying Hisana because she was a commoner, you're supposed to feel this great sense of injustice, like wow! Byakuya actually showed character by standing up for his love! And that's great and all, and then you get the Zanpakutou Rebellion Vintage Kuchiki Bullshit Flashbacks and it's like, oh, the last guy they married into the clan mass murdered a bunch of people and then they had to seal him up in a cave and I feel like that's an important piece of context in the entire Kuchiki Family-Being-a-Bitch-About-Who-Byakuya-Marries debacle.

Which isn't to exonerate the Kuchiki, here! It's very clear that Kouga wasn't that bad before he got pushed over the brink by Kuchiki family machinations. I mean, this is very much an Everyone's The Asshole situation.

I love the fact that they never come out and say that Kouga is Byakuya's uncle, but he's very obviously Byakuya's uncle.

I love the fact that he dramatically cut his kenseikan off with his sword and threw them at Ginrei and they made a gree card of it.

I love that he appears to be exactly Renji's height and has one chunk of hair that is the same color as Renji's and he over-accessorizes horrifically, and at best the Squad Six old-timer's had to be like "Byakuya don't do this to us again" when he hired Renji, and at worst there's a chance that Renji the secret baby that was born after Kouga was banished and he was hidden away in the Rukon so he didn't screw up the succession line but he's actually the true Heir to the Kuchiki.

2. Harugasaki Seizo, standalone episode 313 This dude had a homoerotic rivalry with Ikkaku (doomed, of course, because who could compete with Yumichika?), lost his shinigami powers when he took a blow meant for Ikkaku, and then spent the next hundred years putting his entire pussy into doing laundry for Squad 11. This man invented yearning, even if he did choose the worst possible person in the history of ever as the target of his affection.

1. Amagai Shuusuke, New Captain Shuusuke Amagai Arc He looks like Ross Poldark. He can't hold his liquor. No one knows who witnessed his Captain's Exam. Ukitake and Kyouraku tried to talk him into a threesome. He was nice to Kira. His bankai was a tuba that made a foghorn noise when it belched out fire. His dad was the shinigami equivalent of a narc, who got done dirty by the Captain-Commander. He fought the Dangai Cleaner and won. I love him more than anything.

Honorable Mention: Kenryuu and Enryuu, New Captain Shuusuke Amagai Arc Because they are an important reminder that for all the shinigami buffoonery I am forced to witness, day in and day out, some people graduate from Shin'ou, get shikai even, and still can't get hired by the Gotei.

Propaganda why Marinette Dupain-Cheng is insufferable:

She easily gets away with bad, stalkerish behavior, it always feels like she can ‘do no wrong’ unless the show wants us to pity her, and the show writers want us to think she is a quirky and socially awkward girl when throughout the series we see her be friends with basically everyone in Paris with many connections to high up places.

I get she has social anxiety but the way she goes about stalking Adrien is kind of the worst like she even has creep shots of him hanging in her room? That’s weird. I think Adrien’s going through enough without having to deal with the main character being his stalker lol. I know they’re (spoilers) at this point but in the beginning it was so sus

In the newest season, Marinette hides the fact that Hawkmoth was Adrien’s dad. This leads to the bastard getting a statue and honored as a hero after his death. Adrien now never gets to know the fact that his abusive and neglectful father was the one trying to kill him and is instead proud of him.

Her crush on Adrien is like a black hole for her character. Things she’s done because of it:

1) stolen property

2) ruined dates

3) humiliated other characters

4) has a chart of Adrien’s daily schedule for the next year in her room (this is stalking)

5) broke into his room and sniffed his pillow (also a crime)

6) sniffed, took the hair from, and tried to kiss what she thought was a wax statue of Adrien

7) convinced her parents to let her go to China. Why? Not because she wants to connect with her mother’s heritage, not even because she’s a budding fashion designer and Shanghai is considered a fashion hotspot. It’s because Adrien was there.

I started the show, watched one episode, and never tried again. I simply do not vibe with her.

Propaganda why Aelin Ashryver Galathynius is insufferable:

Your basic Mary Sue. Styled as the incredibly cool best-assassin in the land at only 18, she nevertheless is constantly snuck up upon, distracted by pretty boys, and possesses not an ounce of wit. In a competition between murderers and thieves to win a place as the King's Champion, she sees a bag of chocolates on her bed that she didn't put there and immediately starts eating it and gushing about how much she adores chocolate - nevermind that they just had a trial involving poison, which several of her competitors are adept at. She's always right, and other characters exist just to tell her how awesome and beautiful and wonderful she is. And then she turns out to be a super special magical fey princess!

I generally don't believe that a Mary Sue is a bad thing, but the only thing I remember about this book was how she had been in prison for years but was super young but was also still the most super-specialest assassin. And she kept reading when she should have been training or sleeping. Like, girl, this is not final exams where you can stay up all night and then roll into class in your pajamas and still squeak out a C. It's supposed to be life and death. Her character traits didn't make her relatable, they made her a moron

misogynistic scumbag. theres also a few different times that dean finds teenagers sexy with the most recent and prominent example that i can recall being the scooby doo crossover episode in season 13 where hes super into daphne who in the version they chose for the episode is 15-16 and is interacting with her as if shes a real person cause they got magicked into the episode. he treats everyone around him like shit and the only time the narrative agrees that thats a bad thing is when he has the mark of cain put on him and hes acting no differently than he does usually its just now acknowledged that hes treating others like shit. ive been rewatching the show for shits and giggles with a friend and wow he really does not treat anyone well but i wanna focus on how he treats sam for a second cause dude's hobby seems to be ignoring what his brother wants and lying to sam about doing stuff that directly concerns him the demon blood and souless things are reasonable cause those were both Bad for sam but theyre still part of a wider pattern and the most prominent example of this being when dean tricks sam into letting gadreel possess him and actually gaslights sam about it with the whole ordeal ending when its revealed gadreel lied about who he was and while possessing sam murders a friend of theirs. his voice is just also stupid as fuck im sorry this is just petty but he just sounds like hes trying so hard to be gruff n intimidating but he just sounds like a kid pretending to be batman

Dean’s list of sins is crazy long because of how long the show ran, but the key thing for me is that post-locking Sam in the bunker (season 4 I think?), I just can’t enjoy their relationship anymore. I normally love their sibling dynamic, but Dean’s ultimate worst past-the-point-of-no-return moment for me was demonizing (pun intended) his little brother for being “addicted” to demon blood, which only happened because of a series of events that were either Dean’s or someone else’s fault, not Sam’s. I also really dislike how the fandom treats Dean like this angel (pun intended) who has done no wrong and even tries to justify the MULTIPLE times he’s beaten up and otherwise abused his little brother. Canon Dean is like the polar opposite of fanon Dean: he’s homophobic and racist (jokes about a Black man being sexually assaulted in prison), misogynistic (take a shot every time he calls a woman a slur and you’ll die of alcohol poisoning), and abusive.

freaks out to start with

especially if it's baby #1 and he's already terrified about being a dad

he's not upset about it, because it's uncontrollable obviously, and there's nothing more he wants than a baby so as long as they're healthy, he couldn't care less about their gender

but he's still scared

everyone's confused because he's a guy so surely he's going to be able to relate to a son more than a daughter ??

until he sadly confides in his wife and tells her his fears come from not having a great childhood and knowing he won't be able to relate to the kid completely anyway but at least if it was a girl, his wife could

but he's a little more reassured when he gets told the baby is going to think he's the coolest regardless of the fact he got bullied in school and can't play sports

he loves the baby so much !!

not that it's directly related to the baby being a boy, but Spence cannot get over how little baby Reid is, with 10 perfect tiny fingers and lots of brown hair

and baby Reid starts off looking lots like his mom as a baby, but he very quickly changes to look exactly like his dad

and he's an expert at using his big brown eyes to get exactly what he wants out of Spencer, even at a few months old

Spencer insists on having boys days out

but then he's so happy when he gets it cut just like Spencer and a lollipop

totally coaches soccer and his wife cannot get over how hilarious he looks trying to explain complex, mathematical plays to a bunch of 5 year olds who score more points for the other team than for themselves

Spencer actually learns to ski when he freaks out about his 7 year old being on the mountain by himself

A/N: well… part 3 was the end, but i came up with this little thing, which was also going to be only one part, but obviously there will be another one, end of the announcement.

Jack was feeding River, who was already 3 years old, while you were cleaning the kitchen as well as the living room, from all the toys, clothes and blankets lying around, and Emma was in school.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Since you were moving around the house, you were the one who approached to answer the door.

“No” was the first thing that left your mouth when you saw who was on the other side of the door. The man stopped it with his hand, but you insisted, “No!” you said again, this time louder, while you struggled. Jack grabbed River and hurried out of the kitchen to see what was going on, his heart pounding, while a thousand scenarios went through his head, were people breaking in to steal? were they hurting you?

"What's happening?!" he said concerned, at the same time that the man finally got over your effort and opened the door fully. Jack was confused, but even with the baby in his arms he took you away from that man who was not familiar to him.

"You have no business here," you said, breathing quickly.

“I have a right, y/n, and you know it”

"sorry, who are you?" Jack interrupted him, and for the first time the man noticed his presence.

“Adam” Jack raised his eyebrows, making him understand that that didn't tell him anything, "oh, I see you haven't been told about me" the man laughed lightly, "Adam, Emma's dad"

“she has a dad, and it’s not you!” you yelled, already crying.

“I’ve seen she has a stepdaddy” he said in a mocking tone, "you've done a really bad job hiding her from me, y/n, well... i know it wasn't an easy task, if the stepdaddy you chose is famous, so… I'll give it to you." Adam said in a condescending tone.

“get the fuck out of my house inmediately” jack said angry, he wasn't going to tolerate a man who hadn't shown up in 7 years making fun of his role as Emma's dad, because he was Emma's dad, not this stranger who had just shown up on his doorstep. Adam laughed.

"You can kick me out of your house all you want, but you can't stop a court from allowing me to see Emma" Adam threatened him, "she's half mine whether you like it or not"

"She's not yours" Jack said in a stern voice, you could see his nostrils twitching, his jaw tightening, and his grip becoming more protective, holding your son in his arms "you just put in a little sperm, and what else? Did you wake up to her every time she got sick in these 7 years, holding her hand and hoping her fever would go down? Did you hear her first word or her first laugh? Did you change any diapers or treat her injuries after she fell? All you did was get 5 minutes of pleasure and play dumb when the consequences came knocking on your door. Do not come with this DNA speech, you are not Emma's dad and never will be”.

you were silently crying listening to Jack, watching as Adam's face grew paler with each word, but then the color returned due to rage.

“yeah, you’ve been there, but I still have her whole life to repay her, and I know she will accept me, blood is thicker than water, you know?”

“I already told you she has a dad, go get another girl pregnant and try to be better with another child. You lost here” jack said.

“we’ll see” Adam said, stepping back, “nice baby by the way, but he’s not as cute as emma, I think I make prettier babys”

If Jack hadn't had his son in his arms, you knew that at that moment he would have thrown himself on top of the blond man in front of him and broken his face, but he didn't let his impulses get the best of him. Or so you thought, for a second. Jack turned to you, handing you over to River, you just took him with no time to process anything, and the next thing you saw was Jack rush up to Adam and slam his fist into his face in your driveway.

“Jack!” you screamed.

“I already told you to get the fuck out of my house, you fucking son of a bitch!”

The blond man who had been left lying on the floor, caught himself on his hands and wiped the blood from his nose, but before he could say or do anything, Jack slammed the door in his face.

"you’re going to pay for this!" Adam yelled behind the door.

Jack was breathing hard, his hands clenched into fists and the knuckles of his right hand were bloody. Your whole body was trembling, tears were falling like waterfalls down your cheeks and your three year old baby who already understood enough things had buried his face in your neck, and once the door slammed shut he burst into crying mixed with screaming.

Finally, Jack looked at you, his eyes softening. You started stroking your son's back, trying to calm him down, and watched as your husband finally broke down. Jack walked over to you, hugging you and River, finally starting to sob hidden in your neck as well.

Your leg kept moving uncontrollably as you waited on the couch in your living room. Jack and Emma would be here any minute, and with them a conversation you hoped you'd never have. you never thought it would be necessary, neither you nor jack had prepared a speech over the years to tell emma that jack was not her biological father, but life was unfair and it had returned that man to take away that happiness that had lasted 7 quiet and happy years. You and Jack decided it was best to tell her the truth, before Adam came back and told her in the cruelest way possible.

you heard the door and you got up quickly, seeing how your daughter entered with a smile and her backpack on her back, followed by Jack.

"Hey" you greeted her, and she leaned in to kiss your cheek, "how was school today?"

“good, mommy”

“are you tired? hungry?” she shook her head.

“I’m okay, daddy bought me an ice cream on the way home” she answered sitting on the couch.

“sure he did” you said smiling weakly at him, and he looked at you the same way.

“where’s river?" she asked for her baby brother.

 “he’s taking a nap… uhm, baby, we have to talk to you” you said, sitting on the coffee table in front of her, while jack sat next to her on the couch.

“are you going to ground me?” she asked and you laughed.

“no, silly, why we would do that? did you do any mischief that we don't know about?” she shook her head, lightly resting her cheek on her shoulder, “okay, uhm” you tried to keep talking, but finally you looked at Jack with pleading eyes.

he sighed before speaking, "there's something you should know, Em, but before i tell you, i want you to know that i love you very much, okay? and that what i tell you is not going to change that, do you understand?" she nodded her head, and you could see the fear in her little eyes, "Emma" jack said, pausing, "a while ago you told me that a little friend of yours had parents who didn't live with her, and others who had decided to take care of her, remember?" she nodded, “and that was because her other parents couldn't take good care of her, so they gave her to parents who could give her what she needed” he explained

“are you going to hand me over to other parents?” Emma asked.

“no, no, no” you said laughing softly, “none of that”

“so?” she asked again.

“emma, you have...another dad" jack said, and you could see how hard it was for him to say those words, "he gave you to me, because i could take better care of you and mommy"

“you’re not my real daddy?” emma asked and your face turned pale.

"I am your daddy, Em" Jack said, "I love you immensely and I have taken care of you since before you were born, the only thing that happens is that we do not have the same blood, but that doesn’t change anything between us, it’s just that the other… dad” jack gulped, “wants to meet you”

“River has two dads too?" You didn't expect that question, and neither did Jack. You saw how he paled and you could only think that you probably looked the same or worse than him.

“uhm, no, he only has me”

“and he has the same blood as you?” jack nodded. Emma started to cry, and your heart, like Jack's, broke into a thousand pieces, “Why don't I have the same blood as you? why do I have another dad? is that why you love river more?”

“what? No, Emmie, where did you get that from? I love you both the same!”

“you’re lying!” she screamed, now crying intensely, “You spend more time with him than with me! you play more with him than with me”

“Em” you said, crying as intensely as her, “daddy loves you both equally, it's just that we want river to learn a lot of things! just like you, but if you feel like daddy spends more time with him, we are really sorry, we didn’t mean to do that, it will change, okay? Tomorrow the two of you can go out together, just you and daddy, and I'll stay with river at home, what do you think?”

you started to calm down and dry your tears as you spoke, trying to get your daughter to calm down too. you took her hand when you finished speaking, but she quickly slipped away from you.

"no" she said in a harsh tone, something you had never seen in her before, "maybe my other dad loves me more" was the last thing she said before running towards the stairs.

you froze, standing in place as new tears made their way onto your cheeks, and Jack sat on the couch, breaking down completely.

What interests me most in Quaritch’s and Spider’s relationship is The Tragedy. Quaritch is an asshole who wants to kill Na’vi but he also has nothing else going for him, so he does what he’s told because without the mission he has no purpose. Spider is a kid who was neglected by EVERYBODY and never had an adult care for him. Then BOOM, they meet and are forced to work together. The movie had not given them a lot of screen time but the fact that Spider felt safe enough around the recoms to crack jokes and be playful says a lot. The scene where he teaches Miles Na’vi and puts a hand on his knee, unafraid of physical contact also shows that they’ve grown quite close in the past months.

And then Quaritch fucks it up. He goes back into his old ways and only cuts corners out of fear that Spider will hate him until the end of days, but he already does so because after months of camping out in the forest and having their Disney found family arc, the poor kid is confronted with the fact that his not-dad-dad had not changed in any way that matters. The only thing that changed about Q is the fact that he now has one (1) person he cares about. Spider got taken away from his home, somehow experienced what it was like to be loved (even if said love was the bare minimum) and then was brutally reminded that the person who loves him is an actual demon.

In the end, a happy ending was never meant to be. They are enemies, and could never support the other’s cause and yet they still love one another, and they fucking hate that they love one another, which is my favorite part. In separate interviews, both Slang and Jack had confirmed that both characters have a mighty soft spot for one another, even if they resent it. The bond they have built is there and not Spider, nor Quaritch can shake it off.

I've let this sit in my asks for a while now cause I knew I would get fired up. Yeah from the get go in your post you are already being extremely charitable to Quaritch in a way that sits really poorly with me.

-"Quaritch has nothing else going for him if he's not fulfilling his mission and killing Na'vi." I don't understand where you guys fabricate this tragic past for Quartich from, in the first movie he literally says he chose to extend his tour on Pandora because of his hatred for the Na'vi. He was going back to Earth, where who knows who was waiting for him? Saying he has no family or friends is entirely made up, especially when we know he had a girlfriend and a child at the time.

-"They were forced to work together" HUGE fucking reach dude. Spider is sure forced to work for Quaritch. But Quaritch kidnapped him, took him as a prisoner of war, brought him to be tortured for informatin, uses him as a forced teacher and translator as he burns down and threatens civilian villages. These are all decisions he makes intentionally (not forced!) and are all fun little war crimes.

-I think calling Spider playful around the recoms for that one scene where he mocks Quaritch's Na'vi is rather crazy. Saying they've grown quite close, that they've had a 'Disney family arc,' I really hope you are really young and you'll mature. YOU CAN'T DEVELOP A GOOD AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE UNDER DURESS. Spider is a prisoner! The entire time! Any relationship basis is stockholm syndrome, because every interaction is colored with the fact that any of the recoms, Quaritch, could hurt him or kill him at any time. They could take him back to be tortured. He can't do what he wants. He cannot leave. So every action that isn't harmful feels ten times better because he knows it COULD BE and might be at any second. It's why the cycle of abuse is so powerful, when the norm is pain, kindness feels so unexpected and undeserved. It's really harmful to paint these relationships as good.

-"Quaritch has changed because now he has someone he cares about." Well fuck me, I guess Spider didn't matter when he god damn existed in the 2009 movie??

-The bond that is built is a toxic one based on abuse and manipulation. It's stockholm syndrome, it's lima syndrome. It will definitely be interesting, but you are right about that one thing: it will never work out.

I like to imagine Beyond's hypothetical shinigami dad (mom? I just find it more likely he was human born since he's... clearly a human with at least one shinigami power and if he was birthed by a shinigami he'd probably be more like a nerfed shinigami just by like... Pokemon breeding logic I guess) is a shinigami we haven't seen rather than a pre existing character simply because 1. That's another character oh boy how fun and 2. I feel like there'd have to be some ramifications of making such a beast. Like if extending human life is a crime punishable by instant death how is making another human also not a punishable offense? Like at the very least put them in time put for that. Don't just let them hang about with everyone else.

Anyway my personal take is that B's shinigami dad was summoned (I imagine there has to be some way to summon a shinigami, or at least ask for one to come down or something) by some shinigami worship cult or whatever and for whatever reason, decided to bone some human women and create Beyond Birthday. The shinigami king was like hey, what the fuck dude, penis privilege revoked for all of you and Beyond's father was permanently shunned by the rest of the shinigami because jacking off was the only other thing to do besides gambling.

The shinigami king had to make a whole bunch of rules about how Beyond should even function and assigned his father to look over him to make sure he wasn't being too much of an issue. Beyond's dad was already a very finicky and active shinigami so following some guy around earth wasn't ideal but he got to spend time with his kid I guess.

He never actually showed himself to B, kinda just doing paranormal shit like dropping things or moving things in his room when he wasn't in there. The reason why was that he didn't need B going full crazy and trying to convince everyone he was haunted by some freaky monster because B was already something of an outcast and didn't need another reason for people to hate him.

One interesting little idea I had was the concept of shinigami eye inheritance. My idea going that the eyes are a recessive trait and can only be introduced into the gene pool by someone having a child while they had the eyes. If both parents have them when the kid in conceived a child with be born with the eyes. B's mom made the deal and his dad was obviously a shinigami so he has the eyes. Now an interesting side effect of carrying the gene means there is a chance to recognize the vague visage of shinigami without touching a notebook. Not being fully capable, but still understanding that something was there. Basically, A happened to carry the gene because someone in his family had they eyes in the past meaning he could see B's dad following him. Now obviously B's father didn't account for this because honestly the chance of a human carrying that gene is so extremely slim and he only made an effort to hide himself from B so A got to see the distorted face of death and maybe that may have acounted in his unfortunate demise but hey he was gonna die young anyway and at least the visage of a death god haunting your friend helps inspire you to make cool horror art.

Oh also the reason B wasn't killed instantly is because the shinigami king was curious as to how his life would go. It went bad but he was amused by the LABB murder cases (obviously shinigami kid would not be in trouble for murder, it's literally in his blood.)

After Jack was properly tugged to sleep Y/N came out of the room and saw Spencer waiting for her. Hearing sound of door opening Spencer looked up at Y/N and gave her sad smile, seeing him Y/N finally broke down, Spencer goes towards her and hugged her tightly, cooing her to stop crying.

"What do I do Spence, I never thought that Jack thought of me that way, how did he even thought of something like that I can't even understand" and cried more clinging to Spencer, he rubbed her back gently and said "Everything's going to be fine". Y/N broke the hug and looked at him and said "No Spence, nothing is going to be fine, what will I say to Hotch now, how do I even face him".

Spencer puts his hands on her shoulder and said "Hey stop thinking like it's your fault, it is not, no one is blamed for this and I don't even blame Jack, I mean obviously he will think of you like his new mom", Y/N looked at him confusedly and said "What do you mean he will obviously think of me like that??", Spencer let out a sigh and said "You always take care of him, always ensure that he has eaten, have done his homework, even if you are on a case and away from him you call him to make sure his safe and all".

Y/N shook her head and said "So it doesn't make much difference, I just do that because I just wanted to make sure he's okay and all", Spencer nodded his head at her and said "Yeah that's true but it makes a big difference Y/N, tell me do you take care of Henry like you do for Jack". "I know I don't do the same for Henry but he has his dad with him when JJ goes on a case or something", "Yeah but so does Jack, he might not have his dad with him but he has his aunt to take care of him but you still make time to call him".

Y/N stopped talking and thought about what Spencer said and now it does make sense, she do all those things all the time, Spencer saw how much of a dilemma is she in and said in a soft voice "You are overthinking everything and it will not do any good to you, just stop thinking and go talk with Hotch, you both need to have a real talk Y/N, to clarify everything".

Y/N nodded and they both goes to the living room area where everyone was still gathered. When they entered, the room become totally silent, Y/N looked at Spencer and he nodded his head in encouragement, she looked down at her hands and when she looked up, she locked eyes with Hotch, she cleared her throat and asked in a small voice "can we talk". Hotch nodded his head and they both goes to the garden.

Upon reaching there Hotch sat down on the bench and motioned for Y/N to sit as well. She sat down with a little distance and for some minutes they both stay silent. Hotch was first to break the silence "I never knew Jack had those thoughts, he never indicated anything like that before so I never had any idea at all" said Hotch while looking forward, Y/N also didn't looked towards him and said "I also thought the same but after I talked with Spencer I realized that due to my own actions he might have thought something like that".

Hotch let out a sigh and turned towards her, while she was looking at the sky and said "It's not wrong of him to think of you like that, it's true you go out of your ways to take care of him and gave him the motherly love he was craving".

"I might have done all those things but I assure you Hotch I never wanted anything out of it, I never wanted to replace Haley, I never meant for anything to happen at all" said Y/N with a sad voice while still looking at the sky. Hotch moves a little closer to her and said "Well I don't blame him for thinking of you like that when I also wanted you be like a mom to my son", hearing him Y/N turned towards him when she realized he was already looking at her, with a emotion she has never seen on his face, not for her "what, what are you talking about Hotch??" asked Y/N.

"After Haley died I thought I will never move on from her, like everything has ended for me, we may have been divorced but I still loved her so it was very hard for me to move forward in life without her. Rossi would try to make me go for dates, would tell me to make loose myself a little but it was hard, and I always thought of that like that, until......until you came into my life" said Hotch looking directly into Y/N eyes, she gulped a little feeling nervous and broke the eye contact not knowing what to say anymore.

He gently touch her chin and turned her face towards him and said "After you came, you changed everything for me, all the walls that I builded around myself, just so no one could broke those walls but you.....you broked those walls without even knowing what you were doing, I was also a fool not realizing what I had been feeling for you, denying all those feelings but who was I fooling, even a stranger could tell what I was feeling for you", Y/N looked at his eyes and hesitantly asked "wh-what are you trying to say Hotch?", Hotch smiled at her and cupped her face, while softly stroking her cheeks, he said "What I mean to say that I fall for you even before I knew, I didn't realized the feelings that I was feeling for you was not gratitude or something but it was love, I loved you even before knowing myself, what I really wanna is......I love you, I love you so much that I can't even described it in words, I can't pretend anymore and act like I don't feel anything towards you when it is totally the opposite".

Now Y/N was full on crying mode, she was crying so much that even when she opened her mouth to say something all that comes out are sobs, she can't believe what she's hearing, Hotch loves her just like she does, she never expected her feelings to be returned and now that it does she can't bring herself to grasp the reality.

Hotch gently wiped the tears from her face and said "Whenever you smile in my direction my heart skips a beat, I feel so much happiness, I always thought that I was broken, my love was broken, my heart was broken but now I realized that my love is perfect and my heart is perfect too because....you are inside my heart so how can that be broken. I love you not because you are perfect, but because you are perfect for me, I really do love you.....so mu-" he was cut off by Y/N lips on his, Hotch for a second froze but when he realized what was happening he dived in, one of his hand goes to her waist and pulled her closer while his other hand cupped the back of her neck to deepen the kiss, it was magical, it was like the sensation of a warm blanket on a chilly winter's day, her lips felt like the velvet petals of the most beautiful rose, their lips were telling a story without words, it was like the world disappears and only those two were the only one present.

Y/N was the one who broke the kiss, Hotch joins his forehead with her, eyes still close, still feeling her lips on him. Y/N opened her eyes and smiled at him lovingly and said "I love you too, I love you too Aaron", hearing her he opened his eyes and now a broad smile took over his face. They continued to look at each other and then they both broke into a laugh, finally feeling content with each other.

Hotch gently pulled Y/N towards him and wraps his arms around her, resting her head on his chest and let out a content sigh, they both were gazing at the stars when Y/N broke the silence and said "what will happen now??", Hotch pulled back a little so he can look at her and said "what do you want to happen", He wants to go with her flow, if she wants to take time then he will wait for her, he's not in a hurry to put a label on their relationship if she not ready for it.

Y/N looked at him and said "I-I want to be with you, I don't want hide my relation with you", he gently pulled down her head and kissed her forehead and said "okay then we will not hide our relation in front of anyone", Y/N smiled hearing him but then suddenly a frown took place on her face, "what else is bothering you?" questioned Hotch when he saw the frown, Y/N looked at him and said "will you not get in trouble if we go public with our relationship, the higher ups may make trouble for you too if you dated someone in your own team", Hotch just nodded his head knowing that she's right.

"What do we do now??" asked Y/N pouting, Hotch smiled when he saw the pout on her face and lightly pecked her lips and said "now we will have a long talking session with Strauss, it doesn't matter what trouble came toward me, I don't want hide my feelings anymore, so yeah I'm gonna confront them and at some point we have to tell them anyway so why not now, sooner than later right" and winked at Y/N.

Y/N smiled at him fondly and hugged him and said "so should we tell Jack bout this too??". Hotch immediately nodded his head and said "obviously now that I have you I want to show you to everyone, just think how happy Jack gonna be when he gets to know that we really are dating, I can't wait for the morning to come", They both laughed at his remark and just stayed there, enjoying their alone time.

He feels troubled by his own fatherhood, by Justin's relationship with his dad and the first thing he does is search for his own dad. he tells justin he never sees him, but then at the end of ep 1x09 michael talks about brian's visit and heartbreak over jack like it's something that happens routinely (and it does for sure, considering that it seems like jack is depending on him for money). "When will you ever learn?" NEVER! HE WILL NEVER LEARN!

until s2 ig. to me his relationship with joan is the most puzzling. he visits her, brings her flowers, but it doesn't feel like he ever tries to indulge her in the same way he did with jack. i wonder if that's because he didn't grow up being scared of her, so there's no instinct to get into her good graces...? im not qualified for this kind of analysis i dont think

they've both surely put him under intense distress, in different ways maybe, but it's distress nonetheless. living in that house must have been like being taken apart constantly, nowhere to hide, no comfort, only pain.

im not sure what the timeline is, but it's possible that the first time brian felt loved and wanted must have been THAT DAY in the showers after school. it could be also why he has that twisted perception of what happened. (or maybe it's just early 2000s writing who knows)

she honestly makes me kinda mad. she saw a 14 y/o break in her liquor cabinet, get drunk and thought "this kid's kinda troublesome idk :/". i think making big speeches and saying pretty words she doesn't fully understand is very much part of her character (ben), but the way she does it with brian in relation to his parents is horrible to me.

(surely without knowing) she uses Brian's need for approval from his parents and convinces him to come out to his dad, what does that achieve? brian has to hear his father tell him he should die. brian has an important, vulnerable moment with her after his diagnosis and she shares it with joan without him asking or even wanting her to. what does that achieve? we remember what it achieves.

I think it's fair that she thinks about michael first and then everyone else, but i feel like she's softer on everyone else (david????) compared to brian. sure he kept their relationship vague enough to make him believe they could become a couple, but he isn't doing it to have a laugh, they're codependent. when brian is forced to break it off by debbie, she's happy to let brian take the fall on his own. she understands what he did, so instead of maybe idk helping him get at least Lindsay's support, she keeps her mouth shut, calls brian a good kid, gives him a pat on the back and is ready to send him his own way.

which brings me to the way she acts like she understands brian. it feels like the writers are telling us she understands him, but does she? idk. she picks up on things he does in secret one moment and then gets him totally wrong the next. she calls him a selfish asshole in front of everyone, but when it's just the two of them she suddenly has always known he's a good person. why is she never saying good things about him when everyone's around? why does it have to be just the two of them?

"Brian would hate it" "Brian would cringe himself to another planet" Sure but maybe Brian would also get home and maybe for once feel like the adult he imprinted on approves of him with no compromises :// idk

5 ask game: Danny Phantom au where, as someone who is both alive and dead, Danny is now a vampire vs a human-ghost hybrid

1- the portal flashes and Danny collapses, pale as a corpse. Sam and Tucker try to get him upstairs to rest on the couch, and panic when they can't feel a pulse. Jazz hears and enters and is concerned, but tells them they are checking wrong anyway and does so herself. She can't get a pulse from his wrist, or his neck, but she can feel his breathing, so she opens his mouth to see if he's choking on something. That's when he wakes up and bites her.

2- Jazz yells at him for biting her finger, Danny yells at her for jamming her finger in his mouth, and gets up to rinse and spit the blood out. Since he's fine now, Jazz leaves to go back to her homework, and Sam and Tucker stick close to see what's going on. Danny doesn't come out of the bathroom for a while, and doesn't answer when they call, so Tucker goes in to make sure he didn't fall, and Sam follows when the other boy just stops and gapes. Danny is staring at the mirror, and Sam goes "huh your teeth look... Really sharp. Cool." And Tucker goes "yeah his reflection is also missing, what the heck"

3- they move to Danny's room quickly and promise to keep it a secret. Sam thinks it's cool as hell, until Tucker asks if he's going to bed to drink blood, and Sam has to consider how to make it vegetarian. Tucker thinks rare steaks and the like would work, Sam says it would be better to just drink a little from willing humans, without killing like eating animals. Danny is only half listening to this conversation because he is realizing he can walk on walls and ceilings, in lizard fashion you know.

4- Vlad is also a vampire who has figured out way more powers than Danny. (Who has a bat form, but doesn't know about wolves or fog form initially) He wants to bite and transform Maddie, and get Danny to bite Jazz, so they can be a little vampire family together. Without Jack. This obviously does not work, and a running theme ends up becoming that Danny figures out new parts of his vampire powers slowly each time he has to fight Vlad

5- Jazz figures out Danny's secret without being told, so when he asks how she knew she's like "bro. You don't have a reflection and suddenly I didn't have to tell you put on sunscreen. I figured it out." ("Mom and Dad haven't figured it out." "Yeah they're ghost experts, not vampire experts.") Wes is the only other person at their school who figures it out, but he assumes that Sam is a vampire who bit Danny to make him one recently.

The Force wasn’t the only great power in the Galaxy. There were also the laws of physics. Kanan was strong in the Force, but the bind he had gotten himself into had to do with physics. (My inevitable “Kanan lives” story. He survives, and the story unfolds from there. Some of it resembles the story we already know, and some of it doesn’t. The ripples travel out.) Update: Chapter 1-8 is a complete story, you can stop reading there and get some nice closure. After that, I’m just kind of adding as I get ideas. Mostly I just like seeing Kanan get to be a dad so that’s what I’m doing. Thanks!

Canonverse but Omegaverse: Though everyone can choose whomever they want as mate, your one true mate, the mate with which you 'sync', is your one best match in the entire galaxy. Poe recognizes Finn as his sync-mate immediately, but Finn is reluctant - extremely. Chapter 3 and various chapters thereon are explicit. This fic is now in epilogue-mode. Everything after Chapter 13 is epilogue. I will come back to it as it pleases me, which, right now, is often. :D

Angry and betrayed, Timothy is all too eager to seize the chance to escape, even if it comes in the form of a brash Operative. When Zane Flynt is hired to steal weapon schematics from Hyperion, he finds himself needing the help of Handsome Jack's Eridium addicted doppelganger. It's supposed to be a simple job, and he and the doppelganger will part ways the moment it's over. Only Zane didn't expect to get so damn attached to Timothy. (OR: Zane accidentally adopts Timothy, and chaos ensues)

It took me this long to make a ship chart thing for this two but I finally did it lmaooo I know like most people here doesnt seem to favor this ship of mine (like I always feel that people prefer Utonium and Chloe) but shhh I don't think I cover this ship enough because 1) I forgor and 2) i don't think about them often despite drawing them quite a lot recently so hopefully making this helps me out with ideas on what they really are

For this AU, since I did mention this being a Modern AU, it's not related to canon at all. So no monsters fucking around, no Aku fucking around, no time travel to the future bullshit, we are giving Jack the rest that he deserves lol so just think of this AU like me just putting Jack in a slice of life situation. I don't want to think of anything heavy plot wise because I am not a very creative person and I can't handle too much angst, I want him to be happy. As usual, I don't think of this through, my rough idea is that Jack is an immigrant that moves to another country just to support his family back home but also I have another idea that Jack is actually stinking rich because of his family but he lives frugally and he loves having a simple job and life where he lives comfortably just like regular people. Another dumbfuck idea of mine is that he is actually the son of the owner of the company that Chev works for and he got placed in the overseas branch and work as a low level staff for 2 years to gain experience and trust from his dad and he has to keep a low profile in the company so people didn't find out about it and use him. Again, idk I haven't think of a permanent idea hhh Jack has always been mysterious to people so his background will remain an open idea for now hsksjslqkalql (but i really love the son of the owner idea cough cough)

Another mystery here would be Jack's last name. Idk his last name and even in canon we dk his last name and I actually think that's fun? I wanted to make Jack look like a mysterious person to Chev because he rarely disclose anything about his background and that includes his actual last name so it's nice that I can omit his last name here.

As I stated before, they are not dating. I honestly still can't see them dating yet BUT I do see them having a mutual feelings towards each other and I also see them being in a "friends with benefit" situation but minus the sleeping around? Idk I haven't decide thoroughly on this either but I imagine that they do cuddle occassionally (cuddle buddy? Is that a thing? Idk) but never more than that, they both liked each other but both seems to either try to restrain their feelings or keep it a secret while still act like they are besties lol. Perhaps one day I will think of how they would eventually date or when I feel comfortable enough to change the status to romantic f/o lol

With that being said, since they are technically close friends, Jack occasionally do sleep over at Chev's apartment so that's the closest thing either both of them experience living with domesticity. Jack leaves some of his items there including his pjs and personal hygiene stuff like razors and toothbrush since he sleeps there almost every weekend if Chev's not busy. He also does his laundry at her apartment since he has no washing machine in his own apartment and Chev did tell him to visit her whenever he wants to clean his clothes. Both of them also don't go out often since Chev prefers staying at home and rest during the weekends but on occassion they do go out and go cafe hopping around town trying to look for the best bagel and sushi that doesn't cost them 3 easy payments of $195.95 + your first born

Jack also seems to be an ambivert to me. He can be complacent with silence and company all by himself and he can also sit down talking excitedly with a stranger he just met because they wear the same shirt at the bar. Chev in the other hand is suprisingly reclusive. She actually doesn't really enjoy small talks and prefers being left alone to her own thought. She also actually have a hard time befriending people due to how she seems to look offhandish most of the time when in reality she is just tired and she also unfortunately has the curse of RBF hhhh she still thinks it funny that she ended up befriending Jack since how the polar opposite they can be personality-wise.

I already mentioned this before but in case people missed it (and I sure ppl do hhh) Chev is an old OC that I revived because I'm too lazy to create a new one so I still keep some of her old personality and mannerism and that also includes her sexuality. She likes women and men and have dated 2 girls previously. She always leans on women though so when she starts to catch feelings on Jack she feels a bit conflicted and I imagine that she always denies her feelings towards him to the point she tries to avoid him at one point which kinda hurt him and hhh I think thats the conflict I want to put in their relationship lol

I actually don't want to write Jack's sexuality initially because he probably doesn't know it or care about it and then it clicked on me: He doesn't care about preferences at all, he loves everyone hdjdjskskal no no listen shhhh he always seem to be open minded to me and I can see that he also doesn't really care or mind about who he's attracted to. If he happens to like the cute receptionist guy at the counter so be it, he is going to like him. If he likes the florist he greets and passes by everyday to work he is going to like them, he really didn't care about anyone's gender, he sees everyone as equal to him just like in canon when he encounters various creatures and species and he sees them all as people he needs to help.

Most of the ideas for this AU is still in progress and I change the story a lot unlike my headcanons for Chloe and Utonium so I hope you guys would bare with me and my indecisiveness 🥲 I also hope you guys would like this ship too because I know they are pretty boring compare to others because I am not as creative as other people but it means a lot to me of people like them 🤧🤧🥲🥲🥲💕💕💕
