Currently watching Incredibles 2 and came to the realization that “Auntie Edna’s” relationship with Jack-Jack is basically Kyle’s relationship as an aunt to the triplets.

Blood Buddies Stuff pt.2 Glen/da
thinking about my au again and the way I really wasn't a fan of how glen and glenda's characters were treated in the show, as I said in my previous post I don't think chucky should hate kids and even if he did manipulate glenda to help him I think he should have appealed to them by telling them the truth about their family situation and having them finally understand what their nightmare was about instead of holding it over their head like bait to get them to just help him blindly so these are my thoughts about the twins, their doll body inner dynamic and how I imagined their relationship with their dad for my au:
- glenda and glen are their own personalities sharing the doll body, I do see them being one piece originally that split into two and they still want their own bodies because of how hard it is to manage sharing one with the other (especially considering their moral differences) so them being twins is perfect for them because they get to have that classic twin sense where they can guess each other's thoughts, talk in unison for fun, really play up the twin powers thing
- I love them both having gender in the show so in my au they're both genderfluid, glen primarily using he/they pronouns (occasionally she) and glenda using she/they pronouns (occasionally he)
- like we saw with nicachucky in the show, glen/da works on a similar trigger system where certain things bring each personality into control of the doll body (glen is terrified of killing so when he's put in those situations that prompts glenda into power so chucky would have found out about glenda the night he took them out to kill for the first time)
- after chucky was woken up on the kids' 5th birthday they did remember him, and surprisingly he was a fairly decent dad and got along with the twins the best he could even if he got along with glenda better for being evil
- chucky's dynamic with glenda is something that's been on my brain forever and I think they should be besties, like yes the oldest daughter (nica) is the yassified version of her dad but glenda is the one who is just like him, like I can see her driving him around in the they/them mobile and going 'can't help it I'm an asparagus' after they drive over the curb at jack in the box and he just thinks the shit she does is so funny and he loves the way they are a public nuisance (I imagine they're also the type to turn the bass all the way up on the radio and just listen to their music loud as hell)
- glen does his best to get along with their dad even tho their personalities don't click like it does with glenda but I imagine chucky does small dumb stuff to show him that he cares even if glen has a hard time putting up with him (that video of the mom giving her kid the rainbow cake and just going 'ally' is the vibe I'm getting from chucky's parenting of glen)
- glen will play 100gecs in the car when it's their turn on the aux and chucky complains until the bass starts kicking in

Supporters of Brazil’s former president, Jair Bolsonaro, stormed the country’s Congress and presidential offices on Sunday to protest what they falsely believe was a stolen election. It was the violent culmination of incessant rhetorical attacks by Mr. Bolsonaro and his supporters against the nation’s electoral systems.
Here’s what to know:
Dozens of protesters streamed into the presidential offices, with some holding a barricade to hold back police and clear the way for more protesters to enter. Inside the building, the protesters could be seen attempting to build more barricades with chairs. Outside, a crowd of protesters using sticks or poles struck a police officer on horseback, pulling him off his horse, according to video posted to social media.
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who defeated Mr. Bolsonaro in October and took office on Jan. 1, was in São Paulo, and Congress was not in session. Both Congress and the presidential offices were largely empty on Sunday.
Mr. Bolsonaro has been staying in Florida, where he traveled late last month as his presidency was coming to a close.
The invasions capped months of protests by supporters of Mr. Bolsonaro, who have been camped outside military bases across the country, and had called on the armed forces to take control of the government and halt the inauguration of Mr. Lula.

Brazil’s Post-Riot Social Media Restrictions Aren’t Worth a Free Speech Freakout
Democracies have the right to act in their own defense—even if that means some people temporarily have to go without tweeting.
The Brazilian government wasted no time in responding to the insurrection that shook the capital city on January 8. Hundreds of arrests were made right away, and authorities mounted a robust investigation that quickly identified many of the individuals and groups who paid for the pro-Bolsonaro rioters to get to Brasília. Naturally, such a robust defense of democracy has its detractors: Some on the right have complained that the government is overplaying its hand by arresting people who were at the scene of the crime but who are really decent people in their heart of hearts.
Such allegations are too self-serving to take seriously. The element of the government’s response that has probably sparked the most indignation, however, has to do with social media. It all started when Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes issued an order around midnight after the insurrection, ordering Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram to block accounts inciting or supporting attacks on Brazil’s democratic order. A fine of 100,000 Brazilian dollars (just under $20,000, more or less) would be applied to companies that failed to act within two hours of receiving notice from the court.
Some saw this as a grave civil rights violation. Journalist Glenn Greenwald, who lives in Brazil and can fairly be described as a “free speech absolutist,” was particularly vocal in denouncing the moves of de Moraes. “I can’t overstate how shocking and dangerous this new censorship order is,” Greenwald tweeted on January 13. “It’s from the same judge that even the NYT has been warning about as authoritarian.” Greenwald repeatedly referenced a New York Times piece by Jack Nicas and André Spigariol, which noted “a raw display of judicial force” by de Moraes “that crowned a trend years in the making: Brazil’s Supreme Court has drastically expanded its power to counter the antidemocratic stances of Mr. Bolsonaro and his supporters.”
De Moraes is indeed immensely powerful, handing down decisions with a solitary force that puzzles most American observers. Criticizing the willingness of many Brazilians to applaud de Moraes in the aftermath of January 8, Greenwald tweeted, “I’ve never seen a judge in any democracy with this level of power. He’s become a venerated hero of the Brazilian left, feared and off-limits from criticism.” Greenwald’s alarmism attracted the attention of Twitter’s Grand Poobah himself. “This is extremely concerning,” Elon Musk tweeted in response to Greenwald. “Is it just one judge?” he later inquired.
One can understand why Musk, whose grip on what constitutes both the public square as well as free speech is so famously loosey-goosey, would perceive a temporary ban from Twitter as an excruciating sentence. It is not clear why anyone else should. When allegations of state censorship are bandied about, it is worth establishing a sense of proportion and stakes to which our perspective might be anchored. Here’s one: In 1975, Vladimir Herzog, a journalist born in the former Yugoslavia whose family emigrated to Brazil when he was 9, was called in for questioning by agents of the political police. The prominent editor at TV Cultura was suspected of having ties to the Brazilian Communist Party. On October 25, Herzog dutifully showed up at the police station. He was never seen alive again.
Being banned from social media for a time might be inconvenient, and it might suck for prominent users, but it is not tyranny. A handful of people being barred from social media does not a police state make.

hey, im still new to the chucky franchise and idk like jack shit about it lol. could you explain to me why everyone hates him? im guessing its for a fair reason but i cant find much explaining it outside of people saying he destroyed the series
WELL UHHH when you say youre new to the fandom do you mean you haven't watched all the movies + show yet? because if thats the case well. you can see for yourself 😇
but just a basic little answer um well he prioritizes doing "shocking" things over writing his characters well and consistently.
the most offensive victim of this is obviously nica and a lot of the story around her. he bastardizes charles lee ray's character in curse just to give him a forced connection to nica that he did Not need to do. then goes on to retcon that in the tv show so it was like.. well what was that for. he has nica attempt suicide, be sexually assaulted, and get dismembered but then refuses to have her emotionally react to any of these things.
the fact he does all of this to his wheelchair using character is insane too like bro do you have something to share with the class.
season 2 was some of the worst character writing I have ever seen in my life. u have 4l3 children who saw people die in traumatic ways but because he is insane he only gives 1 of them a traumatic response to this. LIKE. LEXY???? BECAUSE OF JUNIOR????? she did not even like him. meanwhile Devon and his mom were so close and yet no not a word from him 💖💖
it just sucks here. he will make characters experience insane levels of torment and give them 0 emotional catharsis which is CRAZY because at its core childs play Is a character driven story, not a gore driven one. if it was just about shock horror the dismemberment would work! its shocking! its horrifying! but no we have to sit with nica as she lives with this and continues on and it's just insaaane it doesnt work and then he gives her those stupid fucking robot arms which i loathe.
also he made chucky eat andy like beef jerky for an entire year and we just have to pretend that was normal and ok

and then After chucky possesses her, he gets back with his wife tiffany who has also split her soul and is possessing someone too but it's someone who looked e exactly like her in life (long story).
they murder people and fight, for a fleeting moment nica is in control and pretends to be chucky, and we find out tiffany doesnt like chucky anymore, she likes nica and believes nica likes her too. This escalates further during the show to the point it gets extremely horrific and nica actually has to work with chucky to get out of it.

And tumblr makes a liar out of me okay— my commentary is that Chucky could actually beat pie but only if he hits them with the psychological warfare and gaslighting. Because it seems like chucky’s main superpower is the Psychological damage he can do, and Ghost especially is kinda susceptible to that stuff.
I guess Spooker, on the other side of that coin, is very trusting of very dangerous things, and would probably think the talking doll is harmless and cute even if it’s face is jacked up and it has a knife. If they catch on that there is a malevolent spirit in the doll though that thing is getting set on Fire.
Toast or Chris could probably notice and verbalize an issue faster than Ghost or Spooker, so I doubt Chucky would be able to pull a fast one on them easily… and I don’t think he’s intentionally so manipulative it just ends up working out in his favor—

Curious- what fandoms do you write for? :0
Hello, anon. Thanks for asking!
This is a long question to answer, but I'm happy that you made it because I have never clarified it in a list.
So far i have been doing my tries on writing mostly in small fandoms or for underrated characters i wasn’t able to find many fics about, with only some sporadical incursions in ocassional larger fandoms I’m into.
Here is a list of fandoms for what i have tried writing and others I may be willing to write for but haven’t yet because i didn’t got any ideas.
Fandoms I’m already writing for
- Troy (2004) - All the characters. Absolutely everyone, from all the main characters to even the ones with short screentime like Eudorus, Tecton, Ajax, Lysander or Aeneas. This is the fandom I have more writing experience on. Arround 85% of my masterlist is Troy fic.
- Supernatural - I only wrote a Sam drabble, a concept I later used to develop an OC, but i think I could write for a wide variety of characters in this one.
- Chucky ( movie franchise and tv series) - My favs on this one are Andy Barclay, the Wheeler boys, Kyle Simpson and Nica Pierce. I could write doll Chucky in non romantical settings. I would be more inclined to write a pairing thing if it’s about Nica!Chucky or Human! Chucky when he was alive and was physically played by either Brad or Fiona Dourif. Bride (alive) !Tiffany and Jennifer! Tiffany i also could try.
- American Gods (tv series) - I haven’t watched season 3, so anything i could write would be setted on seasons 1 or 2. The characters i have written about in a short fic were Shadow Moon (my fav) and Mr Wednesday. Still, i think I could try writing for a few other of the god characters (either old or new).
- Marvel - I only wrote a Daredevil headcanon post. Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page i could totally try. I would also be 100% on board with writing for Frank Castle ( only platonical, for some reason i can’t see him in another light).
I have a Tobey! Peter Parker x Osborn Reader WIP in the making, so I guess I can include the 3 Peters on the Marvel list.
Fandoms I haven’t write for yet, but I would be willing to try.
- Lord of the Rings: Any character, I love everyone here.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Mostly Will, Elizabeth or Jack.
- BBC Merlin. Merlin, Arthur, Gwen, The Knights of the Round Table, Morgana.
